you should make a website!
"my favorite social media site is shutting down!"
"the CEO of the site i use just committed another atrocity!"
"i want a webspace that's all my own!"
if any of these sound like you (and if you're on tumblr, i know at least one applies) you should make your own website!
why make a website?
incredibly customizable
you can put whatever you want on it
it's, well, your own! like a house you build with your own hands
things you'll need
a computer. you can maybe get away with doing this on a mobile device, but i have zero experience there
a code editor. i like VScodium, which is a de-microsoft-ed version of VScode.
a will to learn ;)
site hosting
neocities. everyone knows neocities. at this point i do feel like it's become a bit too centralized, but it's a good option nonetheless. do note that there are filetype restrictions for free users, but that shouldn't be a huge issue for most. what may be an issue, though, is that there's a content security policy that prevents sites made after jan 1st, 2024 to use outside scripts. also, you have to pay to use your own domain
nekoweb. similar to neocities, but there's no filetype restrictions or a content security policy. some differences are outlined in the FAQ (thinking about moving here... i am a traitor...) i'm not sure if domain support is free or paid.
github pages or codeberg pages. you'll need an understanding of git for this
pages.gay: run by besties.house, uses git
teacake: free hosting is currently closed, but paid hosting starts at 2 bucks a month.
leprd.space: i know next to nothing about this.
a web server. don't recommend this if you don't know computer stuff but it is an option (you'll likely have to provide your own domain though)
gripes & solutions (?)
i'm not comfortable maintaining pages in pure HTML / templating with JS sucks!
with a static site generator, you can write pages in markdown and they'll be converted into HTML and (if you'd like) be put into a template of your choosing. my personal choice is 11ty but there are tons of options!
static site generators can be a bit of a learning curve (and you will have to write some html for templating) but if you're making a lot of pages or blogging regularly it's something to consider
there are starters for 11ty online but i might make a more beginner-proofed starter and/or guide in the future? don't count on it
i don't want to write/maintain CSS
simpleCSS is a tiny CSS file you can use to make semantic HTML ("naked" HTML) look nice. it's got decent customization options too. it's not particularly fancy or opinionated, but it's a good starting point if you need something
i don't know what to put on my website!
small list of ideas:
weblog
art/writing/music gallery
movie/show/book tracker
place to store bookmarks/links
scary! i'm scared!
my askbox/messages/e-mail inbox/etc. are open to anyone who'd like to ask for help!

Quiet Worship

Tobias Rogers x Reader
Alternate universe to last one lol, still not proofread!! Short and all over the place, not used to writing in 1st person so just a lil practice
Banner credit- @cafekitsune
A deep breath as I open my eyes, your earthy scent draping over me like a thick veil. The curls on your chest, tickling my cheek, pulling me closer in. My eyes would lazily watch the slow rise and fall, ears counting the weary beats as they drummed against my face. I’d press a gentle kiss to your bare skin, holding it there for a moment too long.
You’d stir. A small exhale through your dry lips. The hands that cradle me would tighten. I don’t fight it, I’d simply lift my head up, craning my neck, just for a small glance of that peaceful stare.
I’d trail my fingers down, touch feather light, slowly, across your shoulder. The pads of my fingers pressing in and easing your muscles. I’d feel the small rumble in your chest as you hummed, satisfied, and I’d continue to stare up at you like you hung the moon and stars.
Your oh so tense body was always much more relaxed in the mornings, making it easier to admire, and admire I did. My fingers still tracing down, going over the bumps and scars, touching them so tenderly. Each one told a story and I was hooked to every page.
Your eyes would slowly open, the adoration in them so clear. Rich pools of brown almost daring me to drown in them. I’d falter for a moment, the intensity in your gaze making everything around us disappear. And then the corner of your mouth would lift, subtle, the gash would crinkle and your eyes would relax.
Such a small gesture, but it flustered me all the same.
Mornings together were always filled with a quiet intimacy, a sacred bubble that was almost impossible to leave. Such simple gestures amounting to something much more monumental.
Parting always felt like sin, like committing a horrible crime. The many lives that were ruined at your sullied hands seemed almost inconsequential in comparison. For your hands had been nothing if not gentle when it came to me.
You’d study me then, eyes tracing my shape with a natural ease, your stare still intense but softer; fonder. Almost sizing me up like prey. And I’d relent. Because if I was to be the fly in your web, I’d fight with all my might to get your ropes around me faster, tighter, I’d find all the prickles and imbed them into my soft skin.
I’d let you tear off my limbs one by one, staring at you with the same tender look. Doting on you even as you clip my wings. I may even beg you for more. Because. Those eyes, those gorgeous, beautiful eyes- hold such affection and warmth that even the pain would fill me with a sense of safety and love.
They say people do crazy and unspeakable things when backed into a corner. Would you think less of me if I pleaded for more?
My leg would sprawl over your thigh, your coarse hairs scrubbing against my skin like sandpaper, and I’d pull you closer. I’d take another deep breath, breathing you in like air, because you may as well have been.
My eyes would study your face with easy precision, drifting from your relaxed bushy brows, to the small scar on the corner, down the slopes of your crooked nose from a few too many brawls, to the sharp Cupid’s bow waiting to be marked by my arrow. I’d take all your features in like confessions, hoping you’d continue to transgress.
I’d take a moment and unravel your arm off me like string, lifting it closer, sweeping my lips along the freckles. My eyes shut, your heart hammering faster.
“thank you.” I’d say. My tone would be soft, but firm, loving, but needy. I wasn’t sure what I was thanking you for, but I thanked you nonetheless.
Your reply would come. A soft, acknowledging hum. And that’s all I really need.

🌟 New
Starting today, Post+ can no longer be enabled on blogs. In case you missed it: Post+ will be going away in January. You can read more here.
The option to pause (and resume) your queue is now available if you’re using the experimental Queue 2.0 options on web.
The options to shuffle, pause, and resume your queue are now available in the iOS app (version 32.3+)
The flow for Blazing a post on iOS has been redesigned to be easier to use (starting in version 32.3 of the iOS app).
When you receive a push notification about a recommended blog, tapping that notification will now take you directly to that blog instead of a little preview of that blog in your “Following” tab.
It’s that time of the year: Tumblr Year in Review 2023 is up! Head over to @fandom to check it out.
🛠 Fixed
Yesterday, there was an issue that caused it to appear like you automatically followed back any blog that followed you (no auto-follow backs actually happened). The follow back was just a display error, and we’ve cleared that up. If you want to become mutuals with that blog that followed you, you’ll have to go click that “Follow” button yourself.
The aforementioned iOS app update to address frequent crashes has been released.
The little notification that shows for folks using an unsupported browser is no longer obscured by the login/sign up footer on the logged out Explore page.
We fixed an issue on web where sometimes in-blog search results would be displayed as unstyled text.
Also on web, we fixed an issue on the “Your tags” tab that caused the location of the tag filter modal to be affected by scroll position. It now displays correctly (in the center of the screen).
🚧 Ongoing
Nothing to report today.
🌱 Upcoming
We’re working to add a new setting to give you more control over who can mention your blog. Stay tuned!
Experiencing an issue? File a Support Request and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
Want to share your feedback about something? Check out our Work in Progress blog and start a discussion with the community.
Wanna support Tumblr directly with some money? Check out the new Supporter badge in TumblrMart!

Things Armys/Ot7s have STOLEN from Jimin & PJMS
1-EVERY.SINGLE.TITLE.HE'S BEEN GIVEN IN HIS CAREER.
"Main dancer" - Stolen and gaslighted others to think it belonged to Jhope even though Jimin is the 1st BTS member that debuted as Main Dancer on KoreanTV MNET’s show Dancing 9 in 2013. (there's literally a video of that performance)
"IT Boy" - Stolen and gaslighted others into thinking that it belonged to JK or V (even though the title of "IT Boy" was given to JIMIN by Kmedia).
"Idol of Idols/Rookie's Bible" - Stolen and gaslighted others into believing that Taehyung is regarded like that by kmedia and rookie groups when AGAIN this title was given to JIMIN by Kmedia.
"Idol with unique vocals" - Stolen, criticized and gaslighted ppl into singing Jimin is a bad singer ('cause y'know, only jeykey can be a good singer)
Kmedia called Jimin a "Genius writer" for his work on FACE & MUSE - Armys got pissed and dragged him because "Rap Line exists, hello??" and "RM said he wrote some lyrics on LC, duh".
2- During FACE era a PJMs made a great and elaborated analysis of "Set Me Free Pt.2" and the post quickly gained attention and praise,

but what did army do the minute they saw it was a "Disgusting Jimin Solo"? STOLE her post and reposted it on to their page MOCKING her, throwing disgusting insults at her and inciting their thousands of followers to report her acc so when the acc got suspended they could claim the analysis was made by ARMY.
3- When Jimin was announced Global Brand Ambassador of DIOR, many armys AND solos tried to claim that it was a mistake and that DIOR never wanted Jimin, that they infact wanted Jungkook or Jhope, only for DIOR to state that they had been after Jimin since 2018 or earlier, but the company kept getting in the way since BTS were being "sold" as a group. (Even today, KTHs are claiming that Dior wants Th as soon as he comes out of MS, based on some prediction acc lol).
4- PJMS are the FIRST Solo fandom to be created as a response to taekookers constantly attacking Jimin and Armys ignoring the attacks, but demonizing anyone who wanted to support Jimin. But now every single member has Solo Fans, yet PJMS are the ONLY Solos who are actively haunted, harassed, reported, wrongfully accused of misdeeds that OTHER solos (and MANY armys) do (bullying, fan wars with blinks & other fandoms, s3xual harassment, editing PJMs selcas and uploading them to p0rn sites without caring that among them were MINORS).
5-Back in June 2023, PJMs had planned a Re-comeback for FACE and armys only accused us of "Trying to sabotage FESTA" & tried to get our fanbases reported, a week later they STOLE OUR poster/flyers that were made for the recomeback and used instead to do a recomeback for Jhope. When PJMs demanded answers we were told that "Solos don't deserve to celebrate anything, besides Jhope deserves it more and FACE era ended months ago".
6-After the AMAs ended and RM was (suspiciously) proclaimed "winner". MANY PJMs fanbases began to show proof that Jimin was LEADING this whole time on IG, the voting Polls and Web and our only real opponent there was ATEEZ or Stray Kidz.

Yet big "armys" accs claimed we had made up these numbers to "justify us using fraudulent methods for voting" and "they can't get over the fact that they lost and mean NOTHING".
But NOW? Those same armys are using OUR data to fight with Stray Kidz fans who are dragging RM, when the competition had been set between Jimin and them from the start. (EVERYONE in and out of the fandom KNOWS something sketchy went down with that voting and that BangPiggy had something to do with it)
And the whole fake groupchat they created recently to incriminate PJMS was made by the SAME fake RM fbs who claimed we stole those 5K accs. Why do you guys think they said they would show "proof of fraud" AFTER the winner was announced? Because they had been plotting this whole time in case Jimin did win.
#we are tired man#blocking isn't enough i need to PUNCH an ot7 or trashkooker in the face#but fuck it#WITH JIMIN TILL THE END#WE AIN'T GOING NOWHERE BITCHES#jimin#park jimin#bts jimin#pjm#pjms#bts army#bts#armys are bullies

There are many web hosting companies to choose from if you're taking the plunge into making your own website with a comic content management system (CMS) like ComicControl or Grawlix, a Wordpress comic theme like Toocheke or ComicPress, or a HTML template to cut/paste code like Rarebit. While these solutions are generally free, finding a home for them is... generally not. It can be hard to choose what's best for your webcomic AND your budget!
We took a look at a few of the top hosting services used by webcomics creators using webcomic CMSes, and we put out a poll to ask your feedback about your hosts!
This post may be updated as time goes on as new services enter the hosting arena, or other important updates come to light.
Questions:
💻 I can get a free account with Wix/Squarespace/Carrd, could I just use those for my comic? - Web hosts like this may have gallery functions that could be adapted to display a series of pages, but they are very basic and not intended for webcomics.
📚 Wait, I host on Webtoon, Tapas, Comic Fury, or some other comic website, why are they not here? - Those are comic platforms! We'll get into those in a future post!
🕵️♀️Why does it say "shared hosting"? Who am I sharing with? - "Shared hosting" refers to sharing the server space with other customers. They will not have access to your files or anything, so it is perfectly fine to use for most comic CMSes. You may experience slowing if there is too much activity on a server, so if you're planning to host large files or more than 10 comics, you may want to upgrade to a more robust plan in the future.
Web Host List
Neocities
Basic plan pricing: Free or $5/month. Free plan has more restrictions (1 GB space, no custom domain, and slower bandwidth, among other things)
Notes: Neocities does not have database support for paid or free accounts, and most comic CMS solutions require this (ComicCtrl, Grawlix, Wordpress). You will need to work with HTML/CSS files directly to make a website and post each page.
Hostinger
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the 1st year. Free SSL Certifications. Weekly backups.
KnownHost
Basic plan pricing: $8.95/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free DDOS protection. Free SSL Certifications.
InMotion Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $12.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certifications, free domain names for 1 and 3 year plans. 24/7 live customer service and 90-day money-back guarantee. Inmotion also advertises eco-friendly policies: We are the first-ever Green Data Center in Los Angeles. We cut cooling costs by nearly 70 percent and reduce our carbon output by more than 2,000 tons per year.
Reviews:
👍“I can't remember it ever going down.”
👍“InMotion has a pretty extensive library full of various guides on setting up and managing websites, servers, domains, etc. Customer service is also fairly quick on responding to inquiries.” 👎“I wish it was a bit faster with loading pages.”
Ionos Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $8/month or $6/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2 and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the first year, free SSL Certification, Daily backup and recovery is included. Site Scan and Repair is free for the first 30 days and then is $6/month.
Reviews:
👍“Very fast and simple” 👎“Customer service is mediocre and I can't upload large files”
Bluehost
Basic plan pricing: $15.99/month or $4.95/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain and SSL certificates (for first year only). 24/7 Customer Service. Built to handle higher traffic websites. Although they specialize in Wordpress websites and provide updates automatically, that's almost a bad thing for webcomic plugins because they will often break your site. Their cloud hosting services are currently in early access with not much additional information available.
Reviews:
👎"The fees keep going up. Like I could drop $100 to cover a whole year, but now I'm paying nearly $100 for just three months. It's really upsetting."
👎"I have previously used Bluehost’s Wordpress hosting service and have had negative experiences with the service, so please consider with a grain of salt. I can confirm at least that their 24/7 customer service was great, although needed FAR too often."
Dreamhost
Basic plan pricing: $7.99/month or $5.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certificates, 24/7 support with all plans, 97-day moneyback guarantee. Not recommended for ComicCtrl CMS
Reviews:
👍“They've automatically patched 2 security holes I created/allowed by mistake.” 👍“Prices are very reasonable” 👎 “back end kind of annoying to use” 👎 “wordpress has some issues” 👎 “it's not as customizable as some might want“
GoDaddy
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free 24/7 Customer service with all plans, Free SSL Certificates for 1 year, free domain and site migration.
Reviews:
👍Reasonable intro prices for their Economy hosting, which has 25GB of storage 👍Migrated email hosting service from cPanel to Microsoft Office, which has greater support but may not be useful for most webcomic creators. 👎 Many site issues and then being upsold during customer service attempts. 👎 Server quality found lacking in reviews 👎 Marketing scandals in the past with a reputation for making ads in poor taste. Have been attempting to clean up that image in recent years. 👎 “GoDaddy is the McDonald's of web hosting. Maybe the Wal-Mart of hosting would be better. If your website was an object you would need a shelf to put it on. You go to Wal-Mart and buy a shelf. It's not great. It's not fancy. It can only hold that one thing. And if we're being honest - if the shelf broke and your website died it wouldn't be the end of the world. The issue comes when you don't realize GoDaddy is the Wal-Mart of hosting. You go and try to do things you could do with a quality shelf. Like, move it. Or add more things to it.” MyWorkAccountThisIs on Reddit*
Things to consider for any host:
💸 Introductory/promotional pricing - Many hosting companies offer free or inexpensive deals to get you in the door, and then raise the cost for these features after the first year or when you renew. The prices in this post are the base prices that you can expect to pay after the promotional prices end, but may get outdated, so you are encouraged to do your own research as well.
💻 Wordpress hosting - Many of the companies below will have a separate offering for Wordpress-optimized hosting that will keep you updated with the latest Wordpress releases. This is usually not necessary for webcomic creators, and can be the source of many site-breaking headaches when comic plugins have not caught up to the latest Wordpress releases.
Any basic hosting plan on this list will be fine with Wordpress, but expect to stop or revert Wordpress versions if you go with this as your CMS.
🤝 You don't have to go it alone - While free hosts may be more limited, paid hosting on a web server will generally allow you to create different subdomains, or attach additional purchased domains to any folders you make. If you have other comic-making friends you know and trust, you can share your server space and split the cost!
Want to share your experience?
Feel free to contribute your hosting pros, cons, and quirks on our survey! We will be updating our list periodically with your feedback!

Spring, 2025: Achievements, Goals, Community Happenings
[Cross-posted from my Patreon]
It's been a while since we updated our Patreon, but we're not dead (yet)! Life's been a whirlwind of changes as we settle into a new job and try to wrangle affording the last two college classes we need to complete our second Bachelor's, but we wanted to once again take a moment to reorient ourselves and talk about what we've been doing and we're we've been going.
Achievements. 💡
We (alongside our partner Orion Scribner and our friends Abraxas) were first-time vendors at the Tampa Zine Fest, selling printed copies of A Wolf in Man's Clothing, Alterhuman Horoscopes, and updated versions of the Daily Dragonsbane #1 and #2. It was a smashing success and we sold out of all the copies of A Wolf in Man's Clothing that we had brought with us!
The second Centaurus Festival happened this March! While peak attendance was unable to be measured due to re-using last year's server, we had over 193 registrations for the event and a total of approximately 200 server members. There were 16 panels in total and the convention raised $111.70 for the spotlight nonprofit, the Internet Archive. If you weren’t able to make it to the convention this year, don’t worry; you can find the 2025 panels on our YouTube! Much the same as last year, this convention would not have been possible without our amazing staff team. (Important note: the website is currently down for Firefox users; I'm working with our web provider to help get the errors worked out!)
Goals. ✒️
We took a social media hiatus with Orion this past May and are hoping to continue it strong into June. It was great to step away from the doom-scrolling that social media can inspire in us, especially given how much of it centers around the current political climate. We've almost entirely moved to Dreamwidth for the time being, although our daily posts are access-locked.
We signed up for the Hot Wet Queer Summer Jam, a writing-centered jam where the only requirements are that the submissions are "wet" and "hot," in whatever way you want to take those prompts. The jam runs from June 1st to August 31st, and we're hoping to write some swampy monster stories set in our home state of Florida.
Community Happenings 📬
The newest alterhuman convention, HowlCon, has officially opened up its Artist and Panelist applications! Attendees, keep your eyes peeled for registration to open up this July. Convention dates will run from September 19 - 21, 2025.
The oldest alterhuman convention, OtherCon, is open for Artist and Panelist registrations-- see more details here. Registrations close June 1st, so hurry! OtherCon is scheduled for August 8 - 10, 2025.
Nonhuman Notions, a quarterly newsletter for nonhumans and by nonhumans, was recently founded by Gillman and a team of other talented folks. They're currently open for submissions and, if you'd like to get in touch with them, their email is [email protected]. More information regarding submission guidelines can be found on the Nonhuman Notions website.
Nova founded the Fictionfolk Webring for folks with fictional components to their identities. If that sounds like you, look into how to join here.
The Body et. al created the SouthBeastern Webring for alterhumans in the southeastern United States. It's currently only open to folks who are also a part of the Florida (Alterhu)man Discord server, a group organized by Orion Scribner for alterhumans in the southeastern US as well.
Draconity: A Draconic Zine is open for submissions! Created by Nova, this zine is seeking pieces about draconity by alterhumans and nonhumans. Submissions close November 1st, 2025.
Bayou started the Alterhuman Minizine Jam in February to massive success! Zines created by the community can be found on Tumblr.
The Interstellar System started a new alterhuman comic, What's Alter-Happening? Comic pages can be found on their Tumblr.
Nova has challenged themselves to make a regular comic strips for 2025, titled collectively under Three Heads One Braincell. These strips are about their lives as an alterhuman system, and you can find them on their Tumblr.
The NSFW zine Nocturne has officially cancelled its second issue, with no plans from the creator to return to the concept. The creator no longer considers itself to be a member of the alterhuman community (so don't pester it about it.)
The Journal of Being zine which was originally slated for a 2025 release has been cancelled.
The status of the Mosaic of the Unhuman zine remains unknown: organizer Soweli-Musi reported last year that the zine has been compiled, but is still waiting on absent co-organizer Starry-Bear to provide additional writings and artwork.
The Hall of Creators convention, which was scheduled for May 3 - 4, 2025, was cancelled without warning. It's currently unknown if the biannual convention will be scheduled for its fall session or if it will remain on indefinite hiatus.
After publishing Issue #3, the Inky Paws zine has officially gone on hiatus for 2025.

so you've probably been warned against clicking strange links and to especially avoid revealing your personal information online, even in "private" accounts. But what about a "cute" spin-the-wheel link above a tumblr poll?? (like the post in the following screenshot)
FYI: getting people to click an external link is a great strategy for gathering more details about a mostly anonymous user in a forum or tumblr or wherever. Here's some reasons why: 1. If you shared a unique link in a restricted forum or channel or community or chatroom or public fandom blog or at the end of a fic on ao3, you can be sure only the people of interest could click on it 2. That URL could lead to fucking anything of their choosing. Do they want to do an intensive browser fingerprint or get a log of IP addresses? Do they want to estimate the hardware specs of everyone's machines? Do they want to try loading other things on the page to test for adblockers or other blacklists? (an additional kind of profiling) 3. People LOVE to give away identifying information for the sake of a poll or cute name generator. Here are some questions I've seen recently and what information it can point to: - First anime? (fuzzy proxy for age and country) - First celebrity crush? (fuzzy proxy for age and country) - First album? (fuzzy proxy for age and country) - First name using first letter of last name, Last name using birthday month (do I need to spell this out? last name and birthday month) - What word do you use for [common item]? (region, language, culture, class) - Getting people to talk about astrology (you've all given away your birth month for free, wtf) Another fun fact about "Spin The Wheel" links: they can generate ad revenue for someone! Fun fact about Quizzes: they can help build deeper advertising profiles for linkbait sites like facebook or buzzfeed or the daily mail or tmz Another fun fact: besides the info the Spin The Wheel or Name Generator pages save direct to the server, the page can encode that information back into where the wheel stops or the name it gives you. That makes it easier to gather information because it's recorded 1st on the server (controlled by person fishing to unmask someone) 2nd back in the post notes or in the discord channel or wherever. And we all know how much people want to gab about the Fun poll or survey or quiz and reveal even more information. Another fun fact about Spin the Wheel or Name Generator or Quiz pages: You might be seeing a list of options nobody else saw that only appear for IP addresses from a certain region! And if you post your result (that would be mostly unique) it's an INSTANT indication that the person from [region] is logged in. (same goes for browser fingerprint - which device a certain person has) I remember a line from an article about digital detectives (I think it was feds tracking dark web stuff), it said they wait for YEARS for someone to post or log in just to confirm a person of interest was in a certain place at a certain time. You and I probably don't remember the information we leaked years and years ago in the notes of a post or on a retweet of some idiot, but any people who might want to figure you out probably have a huge spreadsheet with everything recorded. They can and do analyze and annotate it all, and can start to narrow down where you are, how old you are, your interests, hobbies, class background, devices you use etc. You might be thinking: "but I don't worry about federal agents or intelligence agencies, why do I care?" What if tomorrow your post goes viral, truly globally Viral? You can go from tumblr nobody to target for stalkers and/or hate crimes instantly. An even more serious example from this year: What if you've been advocating for years for people that are now scapegoat of the day for the fascists? What if a federal agent is tasked with creating a list of "those people" for surveillance? The less information you have unintentionally posted about yourself the better. A perhaps more personal and private example: what if you had to get away from a city or country or person or persons or family and didn't want them to follow you? People with a grudge will go to great lengths to get back at someone
#privacy online is bigger than direct reveals of the big details like dob or location#gotta be careful#some people make it their life's work to tease out key information without you ever noticing - they're experts#be cautious and wary out there#you don't know who's reading your posts or sharing your dms or charting your ip addresses#my blog#digital privacy

In case you missed the anniversary message from May 1st:
This fan page — originally named thateventuality, now harrisonarchive — celebrates its 15th year online this month. When I first launched this venture, it was largely an effort to digitize interviews and create something of a repository that would be easily accessible. The overriding objective was, and continues to be, to celebrate George, his music, and his history in a way that shines a light on a still underrated artist. It’s a joy to research; and your interest in this page continues to astound me — and is truly appreciated. So, thank you all for visiting and following. Hopefully, this fan page can add a little something to the appreciation of George’s music and history. Over the years, people have wondered about who’s running this page; and while I’m humbled anyone would ask, I’m really just a fan, researching and documenting, and far more comfortable behind the scenes — this is, after all, a fan page dedicated to George, and if I do my work as best I can, you can delve into the posts without much editorial input. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how to acknowledge this anniversary, apart from continuing to post and celebrate George. Researching can often be a solitary task — a lot of time spent digging through back issues of publications, for example; hours spent transcribing and typing up interviews. Your feedback is always appreciated; and if have any requests regarding what you’d like to see here, please let me know — I’d be delighted if this could become more of an interactive space, too. If there’s anything you’d like to ask, maybe a Q&A would be something for this anniversary month? All this to say, I sincerely thank all of you for visiting over the years. I’m grateful, especially for the fact that George’s music and wisdom continue to resonate in the world today… and “give […] a smile” and food for thought.
P.S. A George quote for the day: “Adi Shankara an Indian historical, spiritual, groovy-type person once said ‘Life is fragile, like a raindrop on a lotus leaf.’ And you better believe it!” - George Harrison, Yahoo web chat, February 15, 2001

Hey there tols, smols, and in between!
After lurking for years in the g/t community -- doing role plays here and there, consuming art and stories, and generally having that oomph feeling in the pit of my stomach with anything size related -- I figured it was time to contribute.
Art by @guaxinimraccoon
I’ve really enjoyed, and been inspired, by so many amazing artists and writers on here over the years (and elsewhere in the small corners of web g/t culture).
@tinyundercover (whose art and writing I’m a big fan of, har har chuckle chuckle) was nice enough to encourage me to try (along with a few others).
Table of Contents
I want to explore what an emotionally realistic, modern, "adult" love story would look like with humans and liliputians/borrowers without it going straight to kink/fetish. It's logistically easier to do this than giants in a human world for story purposes. If it has a link I've written it. If it hasn't been linked it's a WIP.
The story is chronologically from the top down. Parts may be added at random. Be warned all together I'm in hundreds of pages territory now.

Hello! We are The Way I Left you reading, an 18+, drama-free book club. We do monthly novels, which are not optional, and weekly novellas that are optional but encouraged. Our monthly novel reads are self-paced, and we will discuss our thoughts on the novel of the month every five chapters. We will occasionally do sprinting, where we see how many pages we can read in one hour. We only read books that are free on the following sites:
Haloran’s Intro:
My tag is #hpost.
I’m the owner, Haloran. My blog is @ouijamonstrr. My pronouns are he/it/xyr, I am located in Sweden, and I’m 24. My birthday is June 1st, and I am a Gemini. I usually type with no caps, so this is just for show. My first language is not english, so I will get things wrong sometimes, and I make a lot of typos. I’m an entomologist, but my work doesn’t take up too much of my time, luckily. I really enjoy reading, gaming, making music, drawing, and occasionally writing. I like to read thrillers, classic literature, and science fiction, but I’ll try almost anything. I hold very high hopes for this club, and wish to meet new people, possibly find some new interests as well.

Kate’s Intro:
My tag is #kpost.
I am the co-owner, Kate. My blog is @hookedhobbies. Pronouns are she/her, I'm in Michigan USA, and I'm 26. My birthday is October 30, and I am a Scorpio sun, Pisces moon, Aries rising. I am in one other book club, but that club focuses heavily on romance and quite frankly I'm bored. Obviously, I adore reading, but my other hobbies include writing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. My book tastes are eclectic, and I will read just about anything given the chance. I am an attorney, and you can expect overtly formal language at really weird times because of that. Very excited to see what people bring to this club, and I look forward to discussions!

🌟 New
On web, you can now purchase a new Tumblr Supporter badge that levels up over time, so you can show your support for the platform and help us pay the bills around here more directly. Expect to hear more about this on the @staff blog soon!
In the latest experiment on web that makes changes to the post header, we’ve altered it to re-include the post author’s avatar, based on the feedback we’ve received so far. Thank you to everyone sending in feedback about this!
We’ve released a new major version of the tumblr.js API client, which you can use to access Tumblr content via our public API. Read more about it here!
We’ve also rolled out Tumblr Live to even more countries in the European Union!
🛠 Fixed
For those of you who still see floating avatars on the web, we fixed a bug that was causing them to “hide” a little under the dashboard tab bar. Similarly, we fixed a bug that was causing posts to be in the wrong position when using J and K to navigate post-by-post.
For those of you who see the new dashboard tab configuration button on web, we’ve added a little more space to the left side of it, so tabs have less of a chance to overlap with it. Similarly, sponsored tabs show a “Sponsored” label next to them in this dashboard tab configuration view.
🚧 Ongoing
We’re still experimenting with a big performance improvement for how content is shown on the web, but it broke being able to use Command/Control + F to search for text on the page, for content that’s been hidden after scrolling away from it. We’re working on making this better, and we have a fix in place, so please give it a try again if you’ve been having difficulty with it!
🌱 Upcoming
Nothing new to report here. There’s a lot of fun stuff coming though!
Experiencing an issue? File a Support Request and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
Want to share your feedback about something? Check out our Work in Progress blog and start a discussion with the community.

Among the labyrinthine corridors of high school, where cliques thrived and whispers wove their own web of intrigue, he was an enigma draped in the cloak of isolation. Some branded him a nerd, others a psycho; there were those who termed him merely strange. Yet to me, amidst the cacophony of teenage judgment, he remained an unassuming figure, a quiet, endearing soul whose presence, though often overlooked, was a subtle comfort in the chaos.
It was an ordinary day in the bustling cafeteria, a place where friendships flourished and romantic interludes unfolded in the clamor of trays and chatter. As I meandered through the crowded expanse, searching for a solitary haven amidst the sea of animated conversations, I was acutely aware of my own solitude. My friends, those constant companions in the ebb and flow of adolescent life, were conspicuously absent. Two of them were bedridden with illness, while the other pair faced the punitive consequences of a misguided escapade, a late-night incursion into the school's pool, an adventure I had firmly cautioned against.
Navigating the labyrinth of tables and cliques, I stumbled upon an unoccupied oasis, a single, forlorn table awaiting an occupant. I claimed this island of solitude with a sigh of relief, settling down with my tray, which was already brimming with the remnants of my hastily assembled meal.
As I savored the mundane comfort of my lunch, a murmur of voices pierced the ambient noise. "Look, that's the creepy dude," a girl's voice echoed behind me. Intrigued, I glanced over my shoulder to locate the subject of their derision. It was him, Sunghoon. He was methodically scanning the room for a vacant seat, his face an impassive mask of contemplation.
In a moment of uncharacteristic boldness, I raised my hand, a silent beacon amidst the din. The collective gasp of the girls behind me was almost theatrical, drawing the attention of the entire room to the peculiar scene unfolding before them. Sunghoon's gaze met mine, a flicker of confusion crossing his features before he tentatively made his way toward my table.
When he finally stood beside me, I offered a warm smile and, with a gesture that spoke of simple kindness, said, "You can sit here."
A faint, almost imperceptible smile graced his lips as he settled into the chair beside me. "Thank you," he murmured, his voice a soft whisper amidst the clamor.
Initially, our conversation stumbled through moments of awkward silence, each word feeling like a tentative step on unfamiliar ground. However, driven by an earnest curiosity, I prodded gently with questions, eager to peel back the layers of this quiet enigma.
As the bell's shrill chime heralded the end of lunch, I realized that our conversation was reaching its inevitable conclusion. "Oh, my next class is about to start," I said with a regretful smile. "I'll see you later, Hoon."
He watched me leave with a contemplative smile, a hint of gratitude in his eyes. "She is the brightest thing that has ever happened in my life," he murmured to himself, shaking his head in disbelief as he returned to his sketchbook, his pencil dancing across the pages in a delicate ballet of artistry. He continued to draw her with an unsettling obsession, each stroke of his pencil meticulous and lingering, as if he were attempting to etch every detail of her presence into his own shadowy world.

My 2023 Projects
Wednesday 3rd January 2024
I thought it would be cool to share some of the projects I made last year that I liked and enjoyed working on! Most of them were small projects, some were projects I built straight after I learnt a new concept and a few are discontinued (I won't finish them anytime soon)!
I really hope, which I know I will because it's natural for me at this point, to make lots of more cool projects! This year, I want to make more with other people! Coding alone is cool and all but with other people I get more inspired!
Lastly = always remember to build projects that you're interested in. Projects you will have fun working on for a while. Every single one of these projects I've made, I was interested in somehow. And I had fun!!
Anyhoo, check out the projects below~! 🙋🏾♀️😊🖤
TumblrTextTint
Basically a formatter for Tumblr posts by adding custom colours to your text! Even learnt how to make FireFox extensions so I could add it as an extension to my browser - link 1, link 2
Web Odyssey
I looked at old Windows GUI on Pinterest one day and decided to recreate the GUI with HTML, CSS and JavaScript! - link 1, link 2
Cat Fact Generator
For one of the projects I did for the #3Days1Project challenge, I created a cute cat generator. Learnt how to work with APIs and a CSS library (Pattern.css) - link 1, link 2
Studyblr Valentines Gift 2023
It was valentine season in the Studyblr community and I participated! I made a poem webpage for a studyblr who was learning Russian! (I don't know anything in Russian but for a couple of weeks I learnt some of the poems!) - link 1, link 2
Saint Jerome Tribute Page
I made a page for my favourite patron saint, Saint Jerome, for his feast day (Sept 30)! I haven't had time to complete it fully and there's no live page for it but I did make posts about it! - link 1
Trigun Quote Generator
Just finished the Trigun anime series at the time so I decided to make a project for it for the #3Days1Project challenge! The anime is so good, it is my 2nd favourite (JOJO comes 1st place) - link 1, link 2
Froggie To-Do
Just came from learning the absolute BASICS of React.js, so I wanted to test my skills so far so I made this project! Shared it on my blog and some people started using it for studying (which made me so happy!) and it became a mini open-source project because random people started adding mini features to the app! Very special project for me! - link 1, link 2, link 3

SCAREUARY 2025
It's that time of year... That spooky time of year...
No, it's not October. It's Scareuary! Welcome to the second ever Scareuary, taking place from February 1st - 28th. Here are the weekly events this year, but you can do them anytime during the month.
Coppe's Webbe - Feb. 1st - 7th
A staple in the Scareuary horror writing challenge, the Coppe's Webbe has you randomly generate a word from this list (simply refresh the page to generate) and create a spooky web of stories, snippets, or even poems related to the word you've generated.
For those interested, the schedule for this event can be found here along with additional information. [Also: 2024 example]
Twisted Hearts - Feb. 8th - 14th
How far would you go for love? This theme is all about the dark corners of the heart, where adoration becomes obsession, where trust is eroded by jealousy, and where the person you were begins to disintegrate.
Interested in learning more about this event? Check out the schedule here.
The Maze - Feb. 15th - 21st
Treacherous twists and turns, dubious realities, and the relentless, undeniable fate of meeting one's doom... Let's talk about how we can design the perfect maze for your horror story.
So, what about it? Fancy getting a little lost in a nightmarish labyrinth? Find the schedule here.
M-m-monster! - Feb. 22nd - 28th
Monsters - monsters everywhere. Horror fiction is filled with them. So let's make some of our own. (Can't let old Victor F. have all the fun now, can we?)
If you're looking to begin your career as a monster designer, join us now!
Use the #scareuary and #scareuary2025 tags so that everyone can find each other!
If you have any Qs, send them in. I'm working on compiling a FAQ post. Let me know if you'd like to be tagged on posts so you never miss anything ^^
Join my author newsletter to get a round-up of all Scareuary 2025 at the end of this month, if you didn't have the time to participate during February and still want to do some horror writing ^^
