Can I have some dad Choso headcanons? Maybe him and the reader had twins and the process of adjusting to life with them?

I squealed like a little kid when i saw this! I love Choso, he would be such an amazing dad!

Choso x reader with twin babies headcanons coming right up!

1. You two are blessed with both a girl and a boy. Both of them are healthy and don't show any clear signs of their crused spirit heritage.

Shoko reminds you both that might change as they age, but for now, they appear like normal humans.

2. Outside of their black hair, both of the babies clearly take after you in appearance. Smiliar eye, nose, mouth, and face shapes. As they get older, more parts of Choso will appear in their features.

3. I feel like Yuji would be living with you two, and he would be such an amazing helper! Choso forgot to grab the diaper bag? Yuji grabs it. Do you need water while feeding the baby? Yuji can get that for you.

Choso has to remind Yuji that he isn't a primary caregiver and to go have fun with his friends. Because let's be so real here, Yuji would pure uncle mode.

4. Choso buys so many themed matching outfits for the twins. Lion and tiger onies, different colors but same styled baby gloves, ect. Sometimes, he goes a little overbroad with his spending on adorable outfits.

5. He fuses over you about getting enough sleep at night. It is a common place for him to remind you he is half human, and somehow, that means he needs less sleep.

6. You two take turns on everything you possibly can. Changing the diapers, giving the babies baths, if they are bottle feed, then feeding them.

7. You have found Choso sleeping in the rocking chair between the cribs more than 20 times. Choso has found you crashed out on the laundry room floor in a dirt cloths pile countless times. Hey, tired parents can crash out like toddlers, too.

8. Choao and you would have such an amazing support system! Yuki, Gojo, Nanami, Yuji, and Ozawa (I am a massive ItaZawa shipper, let me add them here)

They make sure you guys get proper sleep, are eating enough, they go shopping for you, really anything you might need!

9. Yes, there are several photos of Choso happy crying over his babies. He happily cries at all the major milestones. They are growing up so fast and he just loves them so much.

I was tossing @shroudedinsilver's Fell!SwapDream hi silver around and started wondering what a fell swapdream would be like if it followed the entirely arbitrary rules me and wheeze had made up for fell AUs.

Specifically, the true villain(s) of the original becomes the only genuinely nice one(s). or at least, they try to be nice.

Just to be clear, this isn't supposed to be a 'better' or 'more correct' Fell!SD. I'm playing with the barbies and looking at it at a different angle. i love rahab and venom and it'd be obnoxiously pretentious to think i, who only knows Swapdream lore from second-hand sources, could do a "better" Fell!SD that Silver, who actually interacted with the source material. Also have you met rahab and venom

I don't have a proper name for the AU yet. and I can't call it Fell!Swapdream because that's obviously already taken. i guess i could call it Swapfell dreamtale. but that sounds weird to me. and lets be real, Dreamswap and Swapdream get confused enough; we don't need to also have a Fellswapdream and Swapfelldream

But anyway. here's my new morons. Frenzy (left) and Enmity (right)

An incredibly long time ago, there was a magic tree. You all know how this part of the tale goes.

Frenzy eventually ate the apples. Working on the exact 'why' still

Here, the Magic apples are like normal food, in that they give you lots of energy. But they give it instantly, and they have way more energy than a normal apple. The enormous burst of energy pushes him into a very destructive mania, and it lasts for months. The influx of so much potent magic isn’t helping, either.

He eventually gets it out of his system, and comes to his senses. He’s horrified by what he's done.

Enmity doesn’t really care about the balance, after everything he’s been put through just for his job. But he likes being alive, so he tries to maintain it so the multiverse doesn’t get wrecked and take him with it.

So he'd been following Frenzy around, trying to deal with him with very little idea of how. He mostly got his ass whooped; more out of carelessness than malice on Frenzy's part. That said, it was intentional, once because Enmity wouldn't get out of the way. He's got a lovely scar to show for it now.

He’d been afraid he may have to kill Frenzy to do it. Frenzy, his own brother, who’d been the only person who loved him for their whole lives until the incident.

He was still trying to come to terms with this fact when he found Frenzy, alone, crying incoherently. When Frenzy notices that he's there, he turns around and for the first time in ages, Enmity senses guilt from him. But he looks so relieved to see Enmity. He tells Enmity he has no idea what had gotten into him, why he'd done any of that, and- oh, god. that scar. He did that, didn't he? how could he...?

To say that Enmity is relieved is an understatement. He tosses out any ideas of killing his brother and just does his best to comfort him and tell him it'll be okay. Which isn't very easy when just standing too close makes Enmity's body and soul start burning.

They talk for a bit. Enmity changes the subject from what Frenzy did to some interesting things that he saw during his travels, to distract him and cheer him up. Once Frenzy's calmed down, though, he tells Enmity that he needs to fix this mess he's made. But...how? He's hurt so many people, but the balance is tipped too far to his side--the positive side--and trying to fix the other mess is just going to make people happy...

Enmity has a wonderful idea. And by wonderful i mean he's gonna have lots and lots of fun with it.

They are now traveling their MV, terrorizing the populace. There's much less death and destruction that during Frenzy's initial manic episode, but everyone's misery is slowly, slowly balancing the scales. very slowly. It'll be a long time before it's fully fixed, unless they can create (or maybe even invite) a huge source of negative magic. And Frenzy...as effective as Enmity's plan is, he doesn't want to hurt people more.

but he wants to start a fight with enmity even less.

his brother is all he has. He's already hurt him once. He can't do it again. He can't lose him.

anyway they're having a great time and definitely aren't toxic and codependent. at least they're still close...?

Dream: Frenzy

His real name in-universe is still 'Dream'. 'Frenzy' is the nickname he gets if he has to interact with any other variant of himself.

He still gets that some sort of mania if he’s somewhere very positive, and especially if he has lots of energy, but it’s nowhere near as strong as the first time. He still has some of his wits about him.

He nearly killed his brother in his first manic episode, and will occasionally still seriously hurt—usually out of carelessness, rather than doing it intentionally—during the lesser, infrequent ones he gets now. But he can’t stand the idea of Enmity abandoning him, and when the mania fades he bends over backwards to try to make it up to Enmity.

He will say and promise anything to Enmity to keep him from leaving. He can’t imagine Enmity seriously has forgiven him for what he’s done to him. Unfortunately this also means that, on the exceedingly rare occasions that Enmity seems to be making a friend, he’ll do everything in his power to quietly get rid of them. What if they convince Enmity that he needs to get away from Frenzy…?

He and Enmity can’t touch without it severely hurting Enmity. His aura is honestly too much but he can tone it down some so it’s bearable. He misses being able to hug his brother

Easily spooked, even though he can sense people's emotions and therefore should notice someone approaching before he can even see them. Hard to get him to fight, though; unless it's his brother asking

His left (viewer's right) eye is mostly blind, but he gets along ok for the most part. His depth perception's a little off, though, and...well. windows are a bit of a problem.

His memory is kinda fucked, too. At first he and Enmity thought it was just that he couldn't remember everything that happened when he was in a manic state, but no. his memory is just horrible now

Ideally, his wings would be so bright as to be blinding in the second picture. but they're as bright as they can be, and i'd adjusted the first too many times already

His chain weapons can be blunt or bladed. Both have their own strengths. He has to really concentrate to switch without de-summoning them first, so he rarely switches when in a fight. He can't use both at once. They're both present here for illustrative purposes.

His left (viewer's right) eye changes when he's using his magic, or when he's in a manic state. usually both happen at once but not always.

Nightmare: Enmity

His real name in-universe is still 'Nightmare'. 'Enmity' is the nickname he gets if he has to interact with any other variant of himself.

Much as he likes being alive, he hates people. And his idea of fixing the balance is terrorizing the populace. He loves it, and has no idea why Frenzy hesitates.

He always forgives Frenzy for hurting him. Always. It doesn’t matter the circumstances. He wants his brother to be happy enough to stay with him. He's just as terrified of losing his brother as Frenzy is, so he wants to make sure Frenzy knows that Enmity still loves him.

While Frenzy clearly hates it, Enmity has discovered that triggering minor manic episodes is an excellent way to “adjust” the balance. A positive place is no longer positive! Everyone’s upset! Mission accomplished. He makes sure to always tell Frenzy that he’s proud of him afterwards, too.

He hates that he has to leave Frenzy semi-often for his own safety, so Frenzy’s aura doesn’t kill him. He also misses hugs but he doesn’t know just how desperate Frenzy is for physical affection

Hard to unsettle, easy to goad into fighting you.

His vision in his right (viewer's left) eye isn’t completely gone, but it’s not…normal. He’s still not sure what he’s seeing through it, but at least it’s not giving him a headache. As much.

(What he sees are people’s auras; a mix of soul traits and emotions. While monsters don’t have strong or notable traits that differ from each other under normal circumstances, they can still be particularly determined, brave, kind, etc. it’s not terribly useful to him right now, but it’s a result of Frenzy’s magic getting stuck in his eye)

Design notes:

I wanted to imitate one of the reaper poses in FFXIV (the second one shown here, with the spinning scythe) but it's kinda hard to pull off the spinning without actual motion, and I'm not good at implying motion most of the time without like. motion lines

white hair

One big scar on his face, and it’s from Frenzy. This is why his vision's fucky

He still has a scythe, and that seems to scare people the most so he uses it the most. He still has a sword, but it's been so long since he's used it that he usually forgets about it nowadays

Needs to have freedom of movement, so he wears lightweight clothes.

Much like with Frenzy and the original SwaN and SwaD, his eyes change when he's using his magic. His right (viewer's left) is uh...still fucked up. pretty though

i want them to be able to shift into animals but i want to be silly and do something other than a bird and a snake. that said i have no idea what I'd do

i forgor SwaN's fighting a bunch of corrupted magic in his system. i feel like sticking close to Frenzy is helping Enmity somewhat, but it's probably. not the best option.

enmity's fucked up eye hurts all the time. some days it hurts worse than others, and just how much it hurts is directly caused by how long he's been hanging out around his brother. At best, it causes a dull migraine. At worst, it burns like hell and he can't focus on anything else. The only thing he can do is sit/lay down and rest, away from Frenzy and his aura.

honestly enmity should be having a lot more problems from hanging around frenzy so much but it'll be figured out eventually

If for some reason they end up somewhere and Frenzy is entirely without his magic. one of them is getting carried around. because frenzy's not letting go of enmity. enmity's totally fine with this

neither of them like the other making new friends. they're afraid that said new friends are going to convince the other they're better off without each other; Frenzy's afraid Enmity will be convinced that he should never have trusted Frenzy again after hurting him, and Enmity's afraid Frenzy will be convinced that he shouldn't stick with Enmity if he's pushing Frenzy to do something he doesn't like to do.

they do not realize the other is just as bad as they are about it

they're very protective of each other. but frenzy panics a lot more and if something happens to enmity there's going to be a lot of corpses and ash

The use of color in The Stanley Parable: HD and Ultra Deluxe (with honorable mentions to the Demo)

dedicated to @squuote who needs more TSP analysis to rotate

A little over a year ago, I (only somewhat jokingly) lay out the argument that while The Stanley Parable is notorious in its use of yellow, the color yellow is not actually associated to the Narrator. The color most associated with him, I argued, was red. [1, 2]

I've had plenty of thoughts regarding color and TSP in the interim and I want to go over those thoughts today in as much depth as I can manage. You know, for fun. None of this is to argue about creator intent, but it's a fun way to stretch the critical thinking and literary analysis portions of my brain. It's also super cool if you don't agree with my readings, since the point is to get you thinking about these things and studying them to interpret for yourself.

Anyway let's gooooooo

Yellow

Okay let's start with the “obvious” one. Yellow is seen as one of the main colors in the game, it's the color of the main office and the primary assets associated with the Parable. We see yellow PRIMARILY in the beginning of the office, before the two doors room. It lines the cubicles and the walls are often interpreted as yellow (eh, they're more of an off-white. They're actually absorbing color from the brown-yellow carpet, and they do the same in the lounge).

It's the color of the Line(TM), it's the color of the cargo lift in the warehouse, and, most strikingly, it's the color of the SKIP Button.

We'll get to you.

Okay, so yellow is a color with conflicting interpretations, which is par for the course for all of them, we're not going TOO insane on color theory and color psychology we will be here ALL DAY and I was an ART student. So let's just look at the most basic reading. Bright, oversaturated yellow is a color that can exhaust the eyes easily. It grabs our attention like a highlighter and burns our retinas.

It can be a color of excitement, but it can also be a color of sickness. I've been thinking about the short story The Yellow Wallpaper the past couple days. Or maybe I've been thinking about it for longer. It's just that I haven't reread it in actual years, but every time I saw someone talk about the wallpaper in TSP, I thought about the story. Here's some passing thoughts on the short story in comparison to TSP. [3]

Sickness, and madness, and beginnings, and infinity. In the end, yellow, to me, is the color of the Parable grabbing the player (and by extension the Narrator) by the nose and saying “let's get moving. We have a story to play. Play the game, and keep playing.” Notable to me is how the SKIP button is almost scathingly yellow in contrast to the room it's in, and as the room gets darker the glow gets more foreboding. The Parable did this. The Narrator might think he made it, but he doesn't control it. Yellow isn't his color, and it never was.

Red

“Stanley walked through the RED. DOOR.”

The use of red in TSP is probably the most interesting and fun to analyze for me. It's used extremely intentionally and it's commonly associated with power, anger, and passion. We see red in the Boss's Office, in the Countdown ending, as the door to the Starry Dome, and a TON in the TSP2 Expo. There's red doors and signs in the Escape Pod Bay.

So I've joked that the color red is the Narrator's color, and while it's still a fun interpretation, it's not one I'm married to. I think it's more accurate to say red symbolizes control. The Zending Door is you letting him control the story. The Countdown screens are him taking control from you. And TSP2 is the Narrator trying to exert control over what the developers have made. It's a response to New Content and to the SKIP button. I have a million trillion thoughts about the TSP2 Expo but I won't get into them here.

Anyway, red feels very obviously to me associated with the Narrator trying to take control, or things only being possible when he has control. I'm thinking about the signs in the Escape Pod Bay telling you that it won't work without him. (I'm thinking about how the same door asset for the Zending is used in the Escape Pod Bay. No. shhh. Staying on topic.) So I don't have much more to say on the matter because I feel like I've tread this ground before. Red is about control, and it is held in direct contrast with blue.

Blue

Oh, blue. Soothing blue, sweet relaxing lounge and ocean paintings and boss's bathroom and blue door that leads to broken textures and an irritable Voice.

If red is the color of control, then blue is the color of rebellion. Small rebellion, sure. Rebellion that means nothing in the scheme of things. Blue is the stepping stone to bigger deviations from the path. I mean, the lounge is only the first step to the right, and you can still get on the “correct” path. The blue door you have to go through repeatedly, you have to make the choice multiple times, for it to lead to the Games ending. The boss's bathroom doesn't GO anywhere until after the epilogue. These are “rebellious choices” in a game where you don't really have a choice, and it's the closest you get to defiance.

I like to make it Stanley's favorite color for obvious reasons.

(Hey, fandom, why you keep associating it with the Curator? The only blue in the Museum is in a couple assets on display.)

Green

I gotta admit, while there's definitely something to green and its use in TSP, a clear meaning for it is eluding me, and I've been thinking about it on and off for a couple days now. It's a fairly infrequent color in TSP as a whole, but it does make an appearance. Besides being the color of plants (such as the ever important fern, the potted plants scattered through the office and the ones in the TSP2 expo, and of course the growth in the SKIP button room), it's also the wallpaper in the Demo, and the same wallpaper is used in the Boss's Office in the Real Person Ending. Thinking further, it also appears in the small room before the stage in the Press Conference Ending, and it's the color of the carpet in the HL2 Office that is found under the Games ending. (It was also brought up by my pal glitch that green is the color of the cursor on Stanley's screen, the first thing you see before gameplay begins. Good catch!)

Thinking about it, it's hard to find a throughline. There's something familiar about the green. Not necessarily safe, but it usually comes before something much bigger. Maybe this is a bit of a stretch, though. Let's say for now green is associated with the familiar in the face of the unfamiliar.

(There's possibly a thesis here about green being associated with gifts and surprises. The Narrator makes the Press Conference ending something that teases but also praises Stanley, the Green Room in the Demo is the space where the Demo is meant to be revealed to you, and that alternate Boss's Office is supposed to, in the Narrator's mind, be the first step to a wonderful story made just for you.)

White

Most people, when they think of white in The Stanley Parable, immediately think of the Museum. And they're right to! It's one of the most prominent environments that uses white. With that in mind, we can't forget the other places it appears, since it's best to keep everything in mind when trying to formulate a meaning for it.

So, other places where white is prominent: We have the out-of-bounds ending, and the Art ending (aka play that Baby game for four hours). We also have a massive part of the TSP2 expo.

Honestly, there is a lot of white in the rest of the office, but it tends to be absorbing the colors of the environment in ways that make it less noticeable. White's really good at that, which means the times where it's by itself as the outstanding color are outliers and feel intentional. So what do these things have in common?

Well, they kind of show the seams of the game? Take this with a grain of salt, but the Museum is designed to show you some of the design process for the game, effectively taking you out of the setting to give you a top-down perspective (hehe, literally in the case of the diorama of the office up to the two doors), and the out-of-bounds ending is a joke about breaking the map, falling out of the world , which can break immersion in other games. The TSP2 Expo is the Narrator showing off all the features for his sequel idea, giving a “sneak peek” of what will be included.

The Art ending doesn't fit with this thesis, but it does involve the... revelation, I suppose, of the “character” of the Essence of Divine Art. What I'm trying to get to is that white is a color of revelation and display.

Gray

Gray is not a color that tends to stand on its own merit in The Stanley Parable, and that in itself is intentional. Gray is used as a texture of “unfinished” things, things the Narrator doesn't want you to look closely at, and would prefer you move past Right Now Right This Second Please.

It's the walls of the Broom Closet, as well as the walls of the maintenance room. It's also the walls of the room right outside the Starry Dome—the hall that leads right to the stairs. (Honorable mention, @chirpbudgie brought up that the desks in the office are gray, which is also an implication of the way Stanley's coworkers seemed to disappear with work unfinished. There is a sense of “wrongness” in how they've all vanished. Nice eye, bud.)

You're not supposed to dwell in these places. Go back to the story, please!

Black

“Blackness, and a rising chill of uncertainty. Was it over?”

Last and least is black, less used as a color in its own right and more a use of shadow. It really stars primarily in the Mind Control Facility, dark rooms with a sense of foreboding. Honestly, what is there to say about black?

Only, I tell a lie. You see quite a lot of black in this game, don't you? After all:

It's the Loading screen.

Blackness is uncertainty, and mystery, like the game tells us, because anything could be hiding in the darkness, and anything could happen when that screen is finished loading. It's white's opposite not just in value but in meaning. You don't know what's going on, you just have to wait and see. Any time you might have an answer, or an ending, here comes that loading screen to wipe the slate clean and say “hey, what haven't you found yet? What haven't you tried? What tricks does this game still have up its sleeve?”

(And now I'm thinking about the Figurines ending, and how the Narrator shouts to stop the loading screen, to go back and stay in the familiar please!! Because the fellow hates uncertainty, really he does. But that's a thesis for another day.)

(We also can't forget that Ultra Deluxe's Setting the Time is also set on a black background, and there's always, to me, a sense of foreboding and uncertainty there too. What happens after this is the game, right? Is this for something? Is this doing anything? Is it changing anything?)

Silver

It's a bucket :)

Okay that's the end of this post. There's probably plenty more to say about this subject, this isn't exhaustive by any means. Color is an incredible tool, and visual storytelling and color interpretation is not in any way a science. As I posted bits of this in my server for extra feedback and examples of color, other folks brought up an entirely different interpretation of the color green. And I didn't even bring up Mariella being dressed in full green!

Anyway I didn't bring up orange because there's only a couple instances of it in the game but its always about unfinished things/assets (Baby game, just a lot of Games ending things) but it also shows up in the TSP2 Expo (Button That Says The Name of the Player Playing The Game (Jim)) for features that uuuuuh. Aren't done. So that's funny.

Like I said, there's almost certainly more to say about color theory and the game, but this thing is hitting 4 pages long and that's not including images oops.

I hope this was a fun read! Some of this stuff has been percolating in my brain for a while and it's good to finally get it on the page. Talk to me about TSP I love this game.

The one thing I remain interested in after reading the amount I had to about Mangione (and the conspiracies surrounding him) is the repeated claim that he wasn't fingerprinted. Not because I think it's true, but because it's such a perfect little conspiracy nugget.

(Warning: mostly just messy, rambling thoughts below the cut, I'm just typing this to get it out of my head.)

What I think makes it so perfect are the following factors:

It allegedly has a source

It supports the narrative that people already want to be true: there is no evidence, and he is being set up by the police

Once excepted, it creates an essentially unfalsifiable narrative of innocence, where evidence that contradicts the claim (that is, the claim that he wasn't fingerprinted) actually supports the conspiracy theory

Because it relies on a primary source, it sets up its believers to feel like they are thinking critically (even though they are not)

The source I've seen linked when the claim is repeated is the same one I linked before, although in more complete form - the Pennsylvanian Criminal Complaint. And let's take a moment to actually look at it.

It says, "DNA" and "NO" is checked. It also asks, "Defendant Fingerprinted," and "NO" is checked again.

So what does this mean?

As previously noted, all of this is in the "Defendant Identification Information," the same area as where his height, weight, and I color are included. There is also a space to put in vehicle identification information. There is then a signature for the commonwealth's* attorney, then a declaration by two police officers. The next couple pages list the crimes he is charged with, page four contains a narrative of the alleged criminal conduct he is being charged with and the arrest, and finally, on page five, the police officers sign requesting that a warrant of arrest or summons be issued.

*For folks outside the U.S.: some states like to be pretentious and refer to themselves as "commonwealth" rather than a state.

So what does the question about fingerprinting (and dna, etc) mean? Is this indicating whether or not a defendant was fingerprinted at the time of arrest? At the time he was booked? Whether he was or will ever be fingerprinted? Were fingerprints used to identify him as himself? Used to identify him as the alleged criminal? (For what it's worth - these are knowable questions, you can actually look it up. More info is at the bottom if you are curious.) If you actually look at the source, it's a huge leap to conclude that this little checkbox means "he wasn't fingerprinted."

Especially because if you scroll to the bottom of page 4, the last line of the written narrative says, "The Defendant will need to be fingerprinted and photographed."

Huh. That makes it sound like that at the time this document was written, he hadn't been fingerprinted or photographed (both of which usually are going to happen when someone is booked), but that the officers are indicating it should and will happen in the future.

So if you actually look at this source, and you think about it, it isn't a source for the claim.

...but it kind of looks like a source if you don't think about it.

Which is why it's so perfect for creating a conspiracy.

Because now you have a claim, with a source. And the claim fits right into the things people want to believe: 1) that there is no evidence of Mangione's guilt and 2) he is being targeted by the police/system.

And part of what makes it such a perfect conspiracy claim is that it isn't actually necessary to criticize the police or the media surrounding this case. By which I mean: there is plenty of bullshit in the charges (e.g. the terrorism overcharging), the way he is being treated by the police (e.g. the perpwalk) and the media (because sidenote yes, I agree, if nothing else, that CEO was directly responsible for the horrible deaths of way more people than anyone is accusing Mangione of, and he did it for profit, and isn't that the real problem what is wrong with you people) that you can talk about in reality without descending into conspiracism.

And you don't need it to question the police's statements that his fingerprints match fingerprints collected nearby. A) We only have the police statement right now - none of the media reporting on this have actually seen the alleged prints or the basis for allegedly finding they matched Mangione. B) What's the quality of the prints? There is a big difference between partial latent prints and a clean set. C) How were they matched? Despite what media portrays, fingerprint analysis can be a lot more subjective and less scientific than you would hope (again, especially when comparing poor-quality partial latent prints).

But the problem is that none of that creates the clean, unfalsifiable narrative that "they didn't fingerprint him" does. Because of course, he can be treated unfairly, and still have done it. (And as I said before, this mistreatment is much less unique, much more of how the system normally functions, than you would hope.) And because maybe the fingerprints will turn out to be high-quality and likely place him near the scene. Or maybe (with or without any potential fingerprint evidence) there is enough evidence for a reasonable jury to convict him.

You don't need conspiracy to have doubts about some of the evidence that is being claimed - but you do need it to claim that it is impossible for him to have done it.

Because once you believe the claim that he wasn't fingerprinted, later evidence that does (or even just claims to) show a fingerprint link between him and the scene isn't just questionable: it's now more proof of the conspiracy. The evidence disproving the claim: documentation that they did fingerprint him, claims that his prints put him near the scene - contradict the supposed source. And so now, while some people will recognize that oh, maybe we were wrong about the original source, others will fall deeper down the conspiracy hole.

Because we all know he wasn't fingerprinted, but now they are claiming he was - something is wrong, something is fishy: are they manufacturing evidence? Did they realize they didn't have enough evidence to pin the crime on him, so they went back to create more, better evidence? This isn't evidence we were wrong, it's evidence that this goes so much deeper that we could have imagined.

And that certainty of conspiracy, the unwillingness to believe contradictory evidence, will likely be enhanced because it feels like you are thinking critically (even though you aren't). Because you looked at the original, primary, source, you're not just believing what the media tells you! You went and found out for yourself!

When in reality, critical thinking means more than just looking at a source, seeing something that seems to fit your narrative, and running with it. It requires actually thinking. In this case - what could these checkboxes mean in context? Am I misinterpreting this? Could there be some other reasonable explanation? Does my interpretation match other information provided (even in the same document)? Does this conspiracy even make sense (why wouldn't they fingerprint him? No, really? If the police have arrested him, why wouldn't they fingerprint him? It's a standard part of booking, and it's a way for them to potentially find evidence to use against him. (And even if you want to think conspiratorially, and claim that they didn't want to take his fingerprints because they know he's innocent and so they can't use them to claim he's guilty, they will have to manufacture fake fingerprints, they didn't take his real fingerprints because they knew it would exonerate him!!!!! - why would they admit their nefarious misdeeds on the first page of the public charging document? Wouldn't it make more sense to lie and claim he was fingerprinted?))

But none of that may matter, once you go too far down the rabbit hole. Confirmation bias is a hell of a thing, and the more elements you have to prop it up - the idea that you have a real source for the belief, the confidence that you are thinking critically - the harder it can be to let go.

Anyway, as promised, what's actually going on with these checkboxes? I talked before about the DNA checkbox - it’s currently not legal in Pennsylvania for the police to collect routine DNA samples upon arrest.

But what about that "Defendant Fingerprinted" box?

Well, let's look at Title 234 Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure (Pa.R.Crim.P) Rules 504 (Contents of Complaint). 504(9) requires that every Pennsylvania criminal complaint includes "a notation that the defendant has or has not been fingerprinted."

Ok! So according to the police, he wasn't fingerprinted at the time this complaint was filed.

What does that mean? Reading from the comment below the rule:

"The requirement that the affiant who prepares the complaint indicate whether the defendant has been fingerprinted as required by the Criminal History Record Information Act, 18 Pa.C.S. § 9112, is included so that the issuing authority knows whether it is necessary to issue a fingerprint order with the summons as required by Rule 510."

Ok, so let's look at Rule 510 and 18 Pa.C.S. § 9112.

Rule 510 (Contents of Summons; Notice of Preliminary Hearing)(C)(2) states that when a court issues the summons (the document requiring a defendant to appear in court, after a criminal complaint is filed and accepted), it must also include "an order directing the defendant to submit to fingerprinting in all cases in which the defendant has not been fingerprinted, except cases initiated by private complaint."

18 Pa.C.S. § 9112 (Mandatory fingerprinting) (a) states that "Fingerprints of all persons arrested for a felony, misdemeanor or summary offense which becomes a misdemeanor on a second arrest after conviction of that summary offense, shall be taken by the arresting authority, and within 48 hours of the arrest, shall be forwarded to, and in a manner and such a form as provided by, the central repository."

What does all this mean?

It means the law recognizes that sometimes a complaint will be completed before someone is booked and fingerprinted. Fingerprinting is mandatory, so the complaint has a little checkbox where it indicates whether or not the person has already had there fingerprints taken at the time the complaint was filed. So the police officer has to make a notation to let court knows whether it needs follow up and make sure they are taken later or not. In this case, as indicated at the end the narrative, at the time the officer wrote the complaint, Mangione hadn't been fingerprinted and photographed yet. So the officer noted both in the relevant checkbox, and in the body of the complaint, that these things were tasks that still needed to be completed.

The Boy Next World (Sun IQIYI) ep 3 of 10 - I’m actually quite enjoying this. I really do just wanna spend most of my time with this pair watching them kiss (please don't make Noeul act mmm'kay?). So I’m really glad we’re on episode three and the show seems invested in supplying us with kisses already. Thank goodness.  

The Heart Killers (Weds Gaga) ep 9 of 12 - mostly I just feel sorry for Fadel. boy is so tired of everybody else’s gay drama queening. 

Perfect 10 Liners (Sun YT) ep 13 of 24 - I actually like how they are portraying Yotha’s character in this (with relation to his mother). It’s pretty authentic to that kind of situation and personality type, I enjoy that. I also like that Wa dumped Klao for being too jealous. good healthy decision, should have stayed that way.

Sangmin Dinneaw (Sun iQIYI) ep 4 of 10 - it just keeps moving through absurdist and ridiculous to gratuitously sexual to mind numbingly dull. I never know where I am with this show. At least it’s not boring... until it so much is. Also my cancer danger signaling is going off hard core. Beware.

I'm like one of those dogs that can sense and epileptic fit, only for death in BL.

Flirt Milk (Sat YT) ep 1 or 10 - Star hunter is back this time with terrible facial hair. I’m putting it on the no fly list right up there with wigs. Apparently Thailand and fake hair are mutually exclusive. The lead ingenue looks a little bit like Yim, and I think they mean to give him a similar personality to Yim’s usual characters, but frankly I found him insipid, dim, and boring. Literally every other surrounding character and couple-to-be is more interesting than the mains. The linguistic bit was cute tho.

When it Rains it Pours (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 2-3 of 10 - I’m enjoying these second 2 eps a lot better than the first ep. It’s leaning into the premise and I like a quazi Cyrano de Bergerac thing. It’s got that chewy Japanese “who knows where this is going?” seasoning. But one thing we can be sure of is Japan can always veer sideways given the right pothole. Or should I say plothole? Anygay, I like the way they’re different with each other via text than in person, I like that we���ve already had some language discussion and negotiation, I like the cool banter between these men. And they are men. I like how very adult this is. I’m interested to see where it’s going. Color me suitably intrigued, in a refined manner.

Eternal Butler (Taiwan Fri Gaga) eps 7 of 12 - Ooo I love the side couple!!!! They are soooooo cute. Kissing to seal a debt? Adorable. Also, yes please keep Ever 4 shirtless forever. I applaud his design, functionality, ans aesthetic choice. Rah rah rah. More manual labor in BL! Pun intended.

Impression of Youth (Taiwan Weds Viki) eps 3 of 9 - I like the secondary couple a lot more than the primary. Shocker.

Teenager Judge (Vietnam Sat YT) ep 16 of ?? - I bit the bullet and finally watched the 2 parts. It really did not need to occupy that much of my time. I did watch it on 1.5, which is not normally what I do with foreign language shows, but I’ve lost patience with this damn thing. I didn’t actually mind the student teacher side pairing, I didn’t like it either. I thought this was the final episode, and then I saw that there was an 2 part ep 17 announced. So i guess not. Have mercy.

Finished Silvio's route, solid 8/10. I mean I still have questions and things I wanted to see explored. Like more about Silvio's past and why he behaved why he did. I mean I got a glimpse of it in the dramatic route a bit. Maybe I will do the romantic route too someday. Congrats Silvio, you got into the second playthrough team. But I'm satisfied with this. So here are some sketches of the ultimate tsundere. I really love that the guy that is all about the money and wealth has taken blue as his primary color. And it is that Lapis Lazuli kind blue = one of the most, if not, the most expensive pigment made. I'm really curious why his hair has a small tuft of dark blue color there. Has he dyed it? Is it natural?

Also more my ramblings... In the prologue, as they set the world, they talk about how this game takes place in late medieval time. (of course a fictional world, but not like fantasy, with magic and such (shame really, I would love there to be some magical elements there)). BUT the clothes... the fashion... They are very modern in many aspects. I know, i know, this is very nit picky of me. This is pretty much like Bridgeton. A period fiction. But really, they didn't need to go give us a reference to a certain time period xd They could have left it even more vague. But alas... This is not really a criticism, as I can totally see past this. I just find it funny.

BUT ONE THING THAT MADE ME PUT MY PHONE DOWN FOR A MINUTE WAS THIS:

My young horse girl self just was ready to smack Silvio off his horse. You don't use reins to encourage horse to go faster! Not even with the carriages either. But especially not when you actually ride a horse. Reins are for steering and slowing down. You use weight and your legs to apply pressure to horse's sides to encourage them to go faster. (ideally you could do this only by using weight, but that needs skill and a sensitive and well trained horse.) Routes and ratings so far (my opinion purely, there is nothing else to it really): 1. Clavis's route, dramatic ending + epilogue. I laughed so much and the theme was very interesting. Cyran was MVP. 9/10 2. Silvio's route, dramatic ending + epilogue. He was an asshole, I wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed the ride and the political shit with usage of money. Giving me Itachi vibes with the gesture of messing your hair. Could have used more Carlo. Also where is Emidio?? 8/10 3. Licht's route, dramatic ending. He edgy but sweet. I wanted to see more of twins being twins and I got some of that. I was happy :slight_smile: And he loves horses, more points from that. 7.5/10 (the reason why I didn't do epilogue for Licht was because I didn't use walkthrough and I didn't want to start paying for those points :0 4. Nokto's route, dramatic ending + epilogue . Playboy, got what I asked for. Entertaining. Could have needed more time with Licht. I want to see brothers being brothers. 7/10 I see my style evolve and I kinda like it. Indulging my teenage aesthetic. Sometimes face shapes get all weird and I'm not sure if it is because they are weird or that I'm becoming blind to them and am just trying to find something weird.

which reassassination character was the hardest to design?

kranken for sure. to me there are 2 phases of reassassination - the "purple and green" phase from around mid 2021 - early 2022, where the story was very underdeveloped, and the "black and red" phase (the current phase) where the story is fully developed and the project as a whole is edgier with a more defined aesthetic. octavia and kranken (then savory) were the only characters of the purple and green phase, and here are their very first designs -

as you can see octavia has barely changed while savory and kranken are like night and day! i think it's because it was hard to make a good recognisable silhouette for him, especially as i started adding more characters (i felt that onion specifically held way too much resemblance to savory at some point.)

as the years went by savory changed almost every time i drew him - he became more desaturated, his age changed from mid 20s to early 30s, he got taller, style changed, etc etc... meanwhile the most everyone else got was slightly different shapes and color palletes lol. i was really directionless at the time and of course my skill limitations stopped me from drawing him the way i'd truly want to.

eventually we got a somewhat consistent set of design traits in order - a freakishly tall man with a spiral motif. i think changing his hair was a big part in "finalising" his design and giving him a good contrasting silhouette with octavia - though he still needs a few tweaks to make him easier to draw - but i really couldn't decide whether i wanted him to be more formal or dishevelled, tho the scruffy look won in the end lol ^_^

it's funny, he was as hard of a character to design as he was to write! if you don't know much about kranken, some of his primary character traits are instability, overthinking and frequent moodswings, caused by trauma both physical and mental (DIY lobotomies, literally drilling a nail into his head, and other stuff i can't talk about cuz it's too spoilery). i had no clue how to write his personality properly and had to write through about 3 slightly different personas (one more serious, one more erratic, one more creepy/peverted) - his current persona is a bit of a mix of all three. he's been through a lot in every category :P

(also the easiest character to design and write was onion. probably because they fall into a pretty simple trope of a nerdy sidekick, which was easy to write off of and subvert a little lol)

BRAVO! BRAVO! This was an amazing episode! I was already in a great mood seeing that we were getting a Luigi episode but the Team really went above and beyond on this one, especially the writing. We got to see some development for Luigi too. I really did love Mario being a supportive and loving brother. As the oldest sibling, this has my stamp of approval! (No, I'm not crying, what are you talking about?) Then, just the little nods here and there with callbacks and references, I really appreciate that.

Now, let's not forget the animation, voice acting, and editing! Great job, Team, as always. You guys manage to surprise me every time. And whoever put the cornered theme, I owe you everything 💙

Overall, 1000/10, highly recommended! I do hope they continue on this streak of well-written episodes. (I wouldn't mind another funny/wholesome episode.) Give yourself a pat on the back, Team, every one of you did amazing!

Unnatural Love

Part 2 Synopsis : Name has being transmigrated into the world of I'm Not That Kind Of Talent without ever reading the novel. She's not being reincarnated as a human but as a devil as well. Hi there! It turns out that being able to adapt to being a servant in the demon king's castle is not an easy thing.

Indeed, the main job of the servants in this castle is to clean the very large castle. But not many servants were hired because most of those living in this castle were the Demon King's combat soldiers.

So that the number of servants recruited was also very small and I have to clean a lot of places at once.

Starting from the dining room, the meeting room for the army commander and the demon king, the hallway in this large palace. It's definitely makes me tired to only think about that.

But my main job to survive in this castle, is to not offend anyone in this castle.

but that's not what makes me say it's not easy to be a servant here

Because here it turns out that lowly demons are treated arbitrarily and punished for no apparent reason.

All the demons, especially the soldiers I met, always mocked me and looked down on me as they pleased.

Lower demons are a lower caste than them because they cannot use magic.

Their behavior really reminds me of the bullying that occurs on earth.

They think because I'm a lowly devil they can hit and kick me as they please.

Even though I'm in a demon body, that doesn't mean this demon body is stronger than my human body.

So after I was abandoned by the soldiers who made me an outlet for their frustration. I got up to sit up and coughed.

I also hugged my stomach which had been kicked many times by the soldiers while groaning in pain.

'I hope the organs in this devil's body are not injured.'

I hope no one will pass by here. To witness the moment I needed privacy after being beaten.

but of course my prayers were not being fulfilled.

As the echo stopped, I looked up and I saw him.

A person with human skin and albino white hair and red eyes that sparkle like blood. the color of her hair and eyes really reminds me of a white rabbit.

He was stunned to see me, I think he didn't want to see anyone else in this hallway.

Unfortunately I'm here.

Demon Arut, a human who is the captain of army 0, the strongest warrior of the demon king, is considered the strongest warrior after the devil.

The person who was said to be the demon king's secret weapon.

Somehow there could be a human who could enter the devil's castle and obtain a higher title than me.

I, who in fact am a human but use the form of a demon, am even weaker than humans in this world.

He and I stared at each other before I finally broke eye contact and tried to stand up leaning against the wall.

'I have to get out of here right now. Even though he is human that doesn't mean he is my ally here.' I thought to myself while trying to run away, not wanting to greet the captain of troop 0.

"Are you the waiter here...?" Mr. Demon asked me, which unfortunately I had to answer.

"That's right, Mr. Demon. Is there anything I can help you with?"

In my heart I was already cursing him, why did he have to ask me. I have to answer this as a primary obligation as a true servant here.

If I don't answer and he reports it, the end of my life will be executed. On the grounds of negligence in prioritizing the captain of the troop commander.

"Why are you... moaning in pain?"

Why is this Mr Demon asking this question, has he never seen a demon being hit, maybe most of them were killed immediately on the spot.

"Just took a few… ordinary blows. It's nothing surprising for a lowly devil like me."

"Lowly?"

"I'm just a demon who doesn't have magic powers like a human. This is normal treatment for those in the lower class."

"Like humans, demons?" Mr. Demon's face looked astonished. what's wrong with him? Is he sick?

"What's the matter, Mr. Demon?"

"Don't you feel insulted to be considered human, right? You're not human, right?"

Of course I didn't feel offended. I'm a real human being. but I couldn't possibly answer him like that.

"Being considered a human in this demon castle isn't too bad, Mr Demon. Even though I had to take a hit here, my safety is still guaranteed."

"Guaranteed from where?"

"The butler here still attends us every day. If you disappear then the perpetrator will pay because servant jobs are not often recruited. As far as I know there have been no cases of missing servants so I'm still safe."

"That's not a guarantee at all." Mr Demon's face expressed his disapproval. I actually also agree with that.

"Better to be there than not to be there at all." I confirm the existing facts. Not wanting to having a fear of being disappeared suddenly.

The demon master's disapproving face finally turned into resignation before he finally said, "You are... so strange?"

"Am I weirder than you, Mr Demon. The chosen human of the demon king. Of course I will look much more normal than you."

"But you look like a human," said the Mr Demon to me. I didn't expect that he could guess it this easily.

"Where is the perception come from, Mr Demon?"

"From your flattering attitude."

"It's an honor for me to be recognized by Mr. Demon. Have you strayed from your room, Mr. Demon? Because as far as I know, you have never left your room since entering this devil's palace."

"Of course I know where my room is. But I don't think there's anything wrong with you accompanying me."

'Ah, he's lost.'

"It is my honor to be able to accompany you, Mr Demon."

While walking, I was actually racking my brain about where this Mr Demon room was.

But unfortunately, that was just wishful thinking. He didn't even realize where his room was, he was also looking around even though we had been walking for a while.

I finally had to start a conversation so I could buy some time.

"Mr demon is noble in the human world, right?" I asked first about the status of this human being.

I'm also looking for information about the human world.

"Yes, I come from a noble family. So what?" I thought he wouldn't answer my question. But apparently he was willing to answer it.

"Nothing, I've only heard that nobles are rich in the human world, right?"

"Nobles are indeed rich in the human world. They gain wealth and spend their own wealth." The demon master's gaze became unfocused, perhaps he was remembering the past.

"Then Mr Demon himself is how high his noble title is."

"At first it was just standard. Considering I was just a soldier of a human king. But after becoming a hero, my status increased."

"Is there really any kind of nobility in humans?"

"king, duke, marquess, count, viscount, baron."

It turns out that in this world, the noble title is the same as in my previous world.

But this means that this Mr Demon doesn't have a high enough title but has a powerful position.

And here I thought...

Let's think carefully about this person's position if we think this world is a novel. He was noble, became a hero after the war, became the captain of the demon king's zero squad after he showed his potential to demon lord.

 Isn't it likely that this Mr Demon is one of the protagonists?

Does this world have female protagonists too? I'm so curious...

Unbeknownst to me, this Mr Demon was also analyzing me.

He wondered why I was asking for information that was of no use to her who is a devil.

"Waiter, what's your name?"

"My name is, Mr Demon? I don't have a name for that. Having a name is an honor for a lowly demon."

My words this time seemed to push his anger button. he shouted "A person has the right to be given a name no matter his caste."

After he finished shouting, he took a hasty breath. did I just suppress the trauma?

"It turns out you are very nice person, Mr Demon." I said with a chuckle.

I kept smiling at the Mr Demon while saying, "I know that for a fact. But this is the first time someone said that to me."

Mr Demon only looked away and rubbed his hand against his neck before he started speaking, "If you having no name, will you accept a name from me?"

Am I now a pet that can be named like in the games? Just because I don't have a name?

But… it's better than nothing...

my main inspiration for writing varies with what exactly im writing, for this series specifically this blog was originally just gonna be some place i dumped random drabbles and oneshots for fun, but as i wrote more and got more attention i had more ideas and motivation and ended up making a whole series

as for where i got my ideas, most of them are just derived from canon (or popular fanon) with my own personal spin on it. the changes ive made are either because of my personal taste or because i thought it would be more interesting, which is why some characters deviate from canon more than others (and why dream and nightmare specifically are so different from their canon counterparts. if you cant tell i don't really like dreamtale's canon story but i liked the idea of having a positive and negative force in the multiverse). for the most part i wanted my multiverse to be a new spin on everything while staying familiar enough to be recognizable

a lot of ink's stuff is spoiler territory but ig i can talk about how his vials differ from canon ink. instead of carrying vials around, he stores his paint in his finger tips which then flows throughout his body, kinda like blood. he has only 6 colors (3 stored in his thumb, index, and middle finger each) with each set being the different sets of primaries (RBY and CMY, yes he has 2 yellows and there is a difference between them so he needs both to fully function) also his paints are an all or nothing situation, he needs every color in his system to properly function—so because of this he doesn't actually know what each individual color does since he can't test it. also he uses his scarf as brushes instead of carrying around one. he finds it more convenient.

and unlike canon ink, he doesn't really want attention from the audience, which is why he doesn't show up for long and hasn't had a full fic from his perspective. he sees himself as a behind-the-scenes kind of guy instead of an active participant in the story

Plant Daddies - Episode 3

This isn't about colors. This is about the Triangular Theory of Love in Hidden Agenda, but it's like lasagna; it has layers. Tee, is this about Step by Step?!

I wrote about plant symbolism in Hidden Agenda in Plant Daddies at Tea Time:

Yellow Chrysanthemum, the tea Zo drinks, represents slighted or neglected love and the taste of its tea is sweet.

And Red Roselle, the juice Joke drinks, represents romantic love or passion and the taste of its juice is sour.

The boys stick to those drinks.

But this week they switched without any comment.

Also, Zo told two stories this week from his Legends of Love book:

Red Roses get their color from the blood of Adonis mixing with the tears of Aphrodite seeping into the ground which caused the roses to change from white to red.

Yellow Sunflowers exist because Clytie fell in love with the sun god, Apollo, so when he left her, she looked at the sun so long that she grew roots and turned into a sunflower.

Both stories deal with a person losing the person she loves. However, the roses story is about love being taken away, and the sunflower story is about love leaving. Also, Zo stated he would cry if he lost his love, while Joke stated he wouldn't leave that person in the first place.

Yet Nita's take on the story is to move on from the past and find someone else.

Once again, this isn't about colors, but we now have two separate occasions where plants/flowers are included in the narrative, and those items are color-coded yellow and red, which only adds to the way we are seeing those colors pop up in the show with a third color.

I mentioned in the Plant Daddies at Tea Time post that primary colors seem to be intentional in the show because this episode, the only colored clothing Joke handed Zo when they were shopping was yellow.

Yet by the end, Zo was in blue with his yellow backpack.

So what does this have to do with the Triangular Theory of Love?

Well, all things come in threes:

The Primary Colors:

Red

Yellow

Blue

These are the basic colors needed to make all other colors; therefore, all colors start from these three, and all colors stem from these three colors.

The Love Triangle:

Joke likes Zo.

Zo likes Nita.

Nita likes Joke?

Issue - We don't know if Nita does still have feelings for Joke because her response to the story seemed as if she would get over Joke.

The Dating Rules:

Rule #1 - Do not gawk at your love interest.

Rule #2 - Ease into it. Don't rush. Oh, AND CONSENT!

Rule #3 - Do whatever Joke says.

Rule #3 - Stay true to yourself starting with the first date.

Issue - Joke seems to have problems sticking to his own rules.

The Triangular Theory of Love:

"It breaks down love into three components."

Passion - Zo is passionate about pursuing Nita.

Intimacy - Joke tells Zo he must ask Nita out to build this.

Commitment - And once they begin to date, this will evolve.

Issue - Zo already notices his heart isn't fluttering around Nita the way he thought it would, yet his heart seems to be doing something around Joke, which is maybe why Joke continues to advise Zo to do some self-reflection and try new things.

Because just like Khai and Third in the correctly titled Theory of Love, this process isn't just for Zo, but Joke:

Passion - Joke is passionate about getting Zo by any means necessary.

Commitment - Joke is committed to this bit, he made Zo give him explicit promises (to work together, to help him get in the debate team), and he already stated he would be committed in a relationship during their story time.

Intimacy - This is what Joke is lacking, which is why he developed this huge scheme to get Zo to spend more time with him.

The Balance:

Is this a story about finding the middle ground between two extremes?

So far, we have a story about Joke, a passionate guy who drinks sour red roselle juice and openly admits to being aggressive about love like the thorns of a rose, trying to develop intimacy with a boy who drinks sweet yellow chrysanthemum tea and says he would just stare at what he can't have than go after it like a sunflower in order to show his commitment . . .

Then both of these boys need each other to find that balance between their two ways of loving.

Joke has launched in elaborate plan to get Zo while Zo was willing to admire Nita from a distance for the rest of his life. Zo can't just stare at his crush (Rule #1), and Joke can't rush into things (Rule #2), yet neither has been truly themself from the start to get the other person (Rule #3).

In order to make this work:

Joke needs to learn sweet intimacy.

And Zo needs to understand burning passion.

So they can find a balance and be able to commit to each other when the time comes.

And maybe that will help their friends find a good balance between the secrets they hide in the dark and the looks they give in the light.

And maybe even rethink how they see things so they can find new meaning in what has been in front of them the entire time.

Because that look was more than what Kot said. Right?

The triadic color scheme is one way to create color harmony. You can do this in a couple of ways (which I might expand on in a separate post), but let's focus on the triadic color scheme in this one.

First, though, I need to bring in this visual aid and explain it a bit:

(This is a photo I took of a color-wheel illustration in Betty Edwards' book "Color".)

This is a traditional color wheel with 3 primary colors, 3 secondary colors, and 6 tertiary colors.

Since your question relates to Zen, Ryu, and Atom's colors in The Rebound, we'll focus on the primary and secondary colors in this post.

The primaries and secondaries are:

12: Yellow (primary)

2: Orange (secondary)

4: Red (primary)

6: Purple (secondary)

8: Blue (primary)

10: Green (secondary)

(Not that this will matter to the post, but if you're interested: The primary colors can't be created by mixing other colors/pigments. These are the basic colors you need to create the other colors on the color wheel. The secondary colors are those you get by mixing two of the primaries together.)

The triadic color scheme, which I briefly mentioned in that post on The Rebound (which you referred to), is created by using three colors with an equal distance between them on the color wheel. Since the traditional color wheel has 12 colors, there needs to be 3 colors between each chosen one. This is illustrated by a triangle (you can see two options in the image above). No matter how you turn the triangle, the points always point to the three colors that harmonize with each other.

The 4 triadic combinations you can get are:

The 3 primary colors together (yellow, red, and blue)

The 3 secondary colors together (orange, purple, and green)

And two different combinations with tertiary colors (1, 5, and 9, and 3, 7, and 11, but these don't matter in this post)

With that said, what we've seen in The Rebound so far is that Zen is connected to orange (even though he seems to be verging towards yellow at times)...

Ryu is connected to blue...

And even though we haven't seen much of Atom yet, he seems to be connected to green (because we've seen it in the trailer as well).

Orange and green align perfectly for a triadic color scheme, but blue doesn't. The color that would've made a perfect triangle with orange and green is purple (as shown by the downwards-pointing triangle in the image above).

In other words, had Ryu been purple instead of blue, I would've screamed about poly because that would've been as close to perfection as perfection could come when it comes to the colors (at least for me).

Also, one of the symbols for polyamory is a downwards-pointing purple möbius triangle, which is basically a never-ending ribbon that's shaped into a triangle (other symbols are the blue, red, and black flag with a pi symbol on it, and a red heart with a blue infinity symbol, to mention a few). This is just another reason I would scream about poly if I got a triadic color scheme.

But I didn't get that, so this is pointless. But I can't help it. I'm a "more is more" kind of person, lol.

To be serious, though... I don't think we will get poly here (even though I want it). Not only because I didn't get a triadic color scheme or other color harmonies between all three of them, but also because I don't think that's the story they want to tell. They might not even do the love triangle trope (but they probably will, lol).

Does this mean I'll stop suggesting poly, though? No. Because I'm delulu. Even when the colors are telling me to stop, I won't.

Because all I want to see are the three of them together.

Okay let's get started.

Artificial.

-Create: This type is created in the presence of a dnc of an ordinary person and a Deceased Meme guardian, in which case it appears.

-Power: Unfortunately, this type does not have magic, but it can appear if it is held by a Guardian, in other cases it is like an ordinary person.

-Appearance: For the most part, they look pale and as if they haven't slept for 20 years, but they may look like he's cheerful on the contrary, as well as his veins, bags under his eyes, but that depends on what he's been through.

-Type: For the most part, they are closed and communicate with few people, they prefer to be at home than to go somewhere, they have a character if you don't lie like that..black and white, that is, one can be good, the other bad, the other half good, half bad, generally yin and yang.

Example:

William is like that, and therefore he is most often lazy, but sometimes he goes outside because Alan calls him.

Glitch.

-Create: In fact, even they don't know what horses are being created, the only thing they know they are creating is because of 2 reasons, there have been too many 4-stine breakdowns in the world, or everything went "not according to the script" and there they are glitching TV /computers, And so on.

-Type: There are glitches in EVERY au, you can't see the current in them, it's no wonder they shouldn't see the inhabitants but clean up the mistakes that the promises create, everyone has their own glitch, someone has a woman in a white whistle, someone has a gentleman, someone has a Silly boy, it all depends on au and what problems happened there.

All glitches also obey the Mr Puzzle, but there were exceptions.

Also glitches can't touch each other (hug hands) because otherwise they will get a hell of a pain.

Example:

At the moment I don't have a character that I can give you an example of.

Hyper.

-Create: This type is created from the DNA of one Meme guardians and another, the blood also depends on which guardians were.

-Power: The forces are the same as those of ordinary Meme guardians, the current is still a plus 2 random, it can be telekinesis-poison, electricity is a huge force, the list is large.

-Appearance: They are immediately visible by their hyperactivity, and the desire to do something, because it is visible by the symbols in their eyes that Sometimes appear at the sight of strong emotions.

-Type: He/She does not need a second Meme keeper, he is able to support himself and make energy balls out of memes, so they most often feel lonely, just along the way they may have 1 main emotion, for example Joy: so he will most often be very happy.

Example:

Alan is this type, and therefore he always wants to hug someone, and this is his main concern, and yes, he felt lonely, and therefore soon he deceived Puzzle and asked him to create a friend, and William appeared.

Blood:

Artificial - It's dark red, and yes, it's a lot darker than ordinary blood.

Glitch - Their blood is black, and I do not advise you to touch it, do you know the "Liquid Pain" backrooms? The effect is the same.

Hyper - As already mentioned, it depends on what kind of Meme guardian it was and what its primary color was.

Example: Smg3 - purple, Smg4 - blue. Result - Dark blue.

And plus add the color of ordinary blood, and here's the result.

Let the record show that it's been almost two weeks since my last entry and I am alive and well!

There haven't been any weird noises in the apartment at odd hours, no demonic possessions to speak of, no flying silverware or furniture, flickering lights, or messages written in blood. All of my electronics work okay --the only thing that doesn't work is the '84 Incident' tape I found at the thrift store.

So to recap from my last entry:

I decided to let Sunny Day Jack stay with me. I know, I know, not exactly the smartest sounding idea. BUT. I genuinely believe he is an actual ghost-clown-man...thing-person? God I hope I'm not crazy He seemed just as confused as I was when he landed in my living room. I might've been a bit startled when I first met him, but I think he needs help. Or at least a place to stay while figuring out how he got inside that tape. He hasn't done anything scary. Not that he could, he's like a big teddy bear!

Getting back on track--

Once I determined he didn't appear to be an evil ghost-clown-man, I decided to help him uncover why he was in the tape to begin with. He assured me it wasn't necessary, but my gut tells me it's important. Maybe Jack has family somewhere who wants to know where he is? Or other people who'd like to know what happened to him?

But, unfortunately, any family Jack mentions circles back to a place called Coudy Town, which sounds like a fantasy land of some sort. I've tried researching the names and town locations he gave me, hoping to find SOMETHING but I got nada. Zip. Zero! Whatever child-educational-program-fantasy-world Jack hailed from, is either a fabrication or it's from so long ago that no digital copy exists. Which makes no sense-- Dr. What came out long before the internet and digital media, but I could plug an episode name into the search bar and find 5 different videos and dozens of links, as well as detailed synopses of the show. Maybe it's because Dr. What is so popular and was part of a large TV network, so it was better preserved (despite the fact it nearly flopped when it first aired).

When looking up the name of the town didn't work, I tried looking up some of the names of Jack's friends he mentioned. Cloudy Belle Sue, Rory Rainberry, and Knackadan Drizzle. I think he mentioned having a sister...? Something-Jane? Chitty-chitty-Jane? I can't remember. I have tried asking Jack about his home, but all of his answers are... vague. Not that I think he's lying or withholding information from me, but it hasn't been helpful. He can't give me an exact location of where he came from, and he says some of his memories are on the fuzzy side.

Back at square one, absolutely stumped.

This is a real head-scratcher... I wonder if I'm looking in the wrong place? Or maybe I'm asking the wrong questions? Shaun might have better ideas on where to look. I should give him a call sometime. It's been a while since he's checked in with me, but I know he's busy with wrapping up production. Just a couple more months and I get to have my big ol' cat man back! I missed watching movies with him. He's asked if I'd like to get our streaming channel up and running when he moves back, but if I'm honest I don't know if I have the heart to tell him that I don't I have it in me

I don't know if I'll have the time, with Jack in the picture now.

Jack as a person is... not what I'm used to. He's okay, very nice in fact! I still feel bad that I threw that coffee mug at him when he first appeared in my living room, though I'm happy to say despite bad first impressions we get along pretty well.

Most of the time.

He means well, been nothing but kind and caring since I first met him. I don't know how to explain what's bugging me, he has a knack for popping up in my peripheral when I least expect it, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. The other day I was reviewing my budget and realized I'd probably have to make some insta-noodle meals, which isn't great health-wise. I didn't even say anything and Jack was like, "You know, I worry you don't get enough veggies in your diet. Maybe you could buy some baby broccolis, chop them up, and place them in the noodle packs you like to get! Oh, and I bet it would taste great if you put an egg in it! What do you think? Soft boiled or sunny side up?"

And the day after that I lost my freakin' house key right before I went into work, and Jack said I should check my back pocket. Guess what? It was in my back pocket! How'd he know that?

Some way, somehow, Jack is just always... there.

I don't know how to feel about that.

Maybe it's because I've lived alone for a long time. Also, it might be the fact that sometimes I feel as though I'm being treated as a kid. I don't think he's doing it intentionally, it's not like he talks down to me. He's just really gentle, yet energetic at the same time. He sort of has that -- hot teacher vibes??? -- summer camp counselor I had a crush on thing going on -- nurturing and benevolent nature about him.

Suffice to say, it's been a learning curve to get used to living with someone again. I just hope he doesn't get into anything he's not supposed to. He tried to help me fold my laundry today -- which was super nice of him, of course, but, well, he backed off when he realized I was folding up my intimates.

He probably wants to be helpful since he can't exactly contribute in more conventional ways, like buying groceries or paying his portion of rent. Or maybe he's bored? He knows how to work the TV, but he's pretty clueless trying to activate the streaming apps.

It makes me wonder, what did Jack do in all of that time in the tape? Was it like sleeping? Did he just wake up here? He couldn't possibly have been awake that whole time. Right?

...I almost want to ask him, but something in the back of my mind is stopping me.

Oneth is dying of memory. A spirit whose power flourishes in darkness, it was weakened as Hyrule left the Calamity behind and entered a new era of peace and enlightenment. Although every mouth that utters its name brings it closer to its death, Oneth still revealed itself to Sabel, and the two formed a pact. To erase the burden of memory from the world, easing Sabel's suffering and grief while saving his mysterious friend's life. It cannot be seen. Oneth is a small, slight creature that glows with a faint light, much like a fairy; absent is the cheery tinkling of fairy bells. It is nearly a foot in height and has wings and long, tangled appendages. Its fish-like gaze betrays a desire to see all swallowed by the abyss. Its domain is oblivion and the lightless abyssal depths of the sea.

Last November probably. So I do have newer ocs. But they needs images :( regarding its design:

i had the idea of an anti-fairy with fish attributes for a little while, but it clicked into place after playing some Ico recently. I had to draw the thing at the intersection of Yorda, Seath the scaleless, and rabbit fish (chimaera monstrosa.) One of my other inspirations for this character was Jenna Moran's oeuvre of RPGs like Nobilis and Glitch. Never even played them I just follow people on tumblr who post about them nonstop

Seyches began as my MapleStory character when I started playing around 2005.

In his first iteration, he was an exiled prince with eyes that changed colors based on emotion, in a love triangle with two or more demon boyfriends, and eternally escaping some dungeon or being caged somewhere.

Also, he was called into duty as a silly pirate's first mate and pyrotechnics expert; such are the demands of irc rp.

Seyches (I already have his IPA right here, so I'll drop it: [sɛʃ]) is a lonely 30-year-old dude. He has a job as a scrivener, but moonlights as a forger. In his spare time, he’s writing a historical play about Gerudo kings. He likes coffee and cats. He is a trans man, born female and living as a man; a move regarded by some as “not Gerudo-like.” Irrelevant.

He's a former "business partner" of Domri, who pretends not to know Seyches despite being well acquainted. He has an ability to suss out people's secrets, so after meeting Sabel and Ark he becomes aware of both their bizarre obsession with each other and the potential doom they intend to bring upon the world. Well, he's neither a user of powerful magic nor a ninja swordsman, so the best he can do is play mind games with them.

Here's what we know: she was a girl who liked to sing, chase boys, and privately harbor grandiose dreams. After the birth of her only child, he became her primary obsession. Btw, the father is unknown, but according to genetic testing on the only chromosome he didn't inherit from her (wait, I count 47 here?) we have narrowed down the most likely candidates to Jareth the Goblin King and aliens from ufos. So anyway, Anika and her parthenogenetic clone were able to comfortably get by once the child started talking to fairies, who would lead him to places where caches of treasure had been hidden long ago by people who hoped to retrieve it after the apocalypse.

Ark has been around about as long as Seyches, originating as a doodle based on the main character of Pokemon Trozei, which I read about in Nintendo Power and have never played. Regrettably it was drawn on the back of my state standardized test so I could never have it back.

He was a ponytail girl with a blue beret. and a blonde. He became a copium ranger/repressed ninja. For my own satisfaction, I thought I could make a strongly ftm-coded cis male character, but something else happened.

He's a man but he's a child. He's in love with his murderer. He knows he's being manipulated and he can see through Sabel’s lies. He's a puppet he's a doll. He's sick and full of twisted grief. And he's your next president/owner of the Triforce of wisdom. Wisdom?! I wish I’d been born a… The wanter.

Cam/Shane( what would the ship name be as well)

This is entirely your fault.

It’s been really REALLY hecking long since I watched ninja storm, but the first things first is that I’m definitely on board with ships my friends ship (unless it creates intense distaste in my mouth like o/a) but I do not remember ANYTHING from the show @ them, hence, this is all purely what i *THINK* their dynamic would be.

So initially I just got on board b/c you and your AU, BUT. THINK ABOUT IT.

Shane, I definitely think he’s the oldest of the trio— as is Cam, in fact, I think Shane is OLDER than Cam, so I think there is that whole “closeness of age” as a factor— BUT Cam remains the most responsible of the team, because no matter what, Shane is NOT the most responsible.

But they also have a back and forth of sharing the team’s controls, and I think they work really well together when need calls, especially because Shane takes command ON GROUND, while cam does so sitting behind the screens as the tech support, at least initially.

I really like the Red x Sixth dynamics in general, because while red is the primary leader, sixth OFTEN acts as a supportive #2, who can take upon the responsibilities if required. Green x Red is one of my fave color dynamics (re @ bridge/jack, Tommy/Jason etc) and these two are BOTH. So honestly, I feel like their dynamic would work out SOLID. They bounce off of each other preeettyyy nicely~

So yeah! Zero info about canon, but I SHIP!
