“I am Cinderella. Your Majesty, I am no princess. I have no carriage, no parents, no dowry. I do not even know if that beautiful slipper will fit. But, if it does--will you take me as I am? A good honest country girl who loves you?”

I keep thinking back to Morro (shocker) and dotd (double shocker) because of how nice it was for Morro not to get some half-assed "you were never a bad person in the first place/the wrong you did wasn't your fault" reason for him to try and do something good. No he just, wanted to do something good. He saved a life and ended on better terms with Wu. None of it changed or "fixed" the terrible shit he chose to do beforehand and he was never even around to see the outcome of his final choice, he just wanted to do something good. I think that's a lot more meaningful than when shows/movies/books do that thing where they wanna give a character a redemption arc or a redemption moment and then suddenly have to minimize everything the character did wrong to achieve it/put the blame somewhere else, OR when they act like one singular decent action/choice undoes all the past bad actions/choices. Like any good for any or no reason is better than doing nothing and it's never too late to acknowledge that, yk?

Sebtember Challenge #7: Learning a Bit of Mexican
Number 7 for The Iceman! ❄️💙
In 2015, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen learnt how to prepare for their first Mexican Grand Prix under Esteban Gutiérrez’s wings. They learn about the language, food, music and the culture of Mexico through him. My favourite segment is where Esteban teaches the two Ferrari teammates about how to pronounce Mexican words and phrases.

One Dress a Day Challenge
September: Bond Films
Spectre / Daniel Craig as James Bond
Okay, let's talk about those dark blue polo shirts! Polos have been a part of Bond's look ever since Dr. No, but they're particularly identified with Daniel Craig's version of the character. This one is by Tom Ford and features an unusual "johnny collar"--a V-neck with no buttons. With it, he wears a tan suede jacket by Matchless, taupe chino trousers by Brunello Cucinelli, and tan lace-up boots by J. Crew.
It's been noted that this outfit may be an updated nod to one worn by Timothy Dalton as Bond in The Living Daylights (1987):
