the modding community sure is varied because on one hand you have games where they have modded for every little thing and possibility, every quality of life and everything aesthetically different you could imagine
and on the other hand you look for something you thought was basic but literally no one has created it ever and you have like 1 reddit post discussing how bad the absence of this feature is, while many many different mods exist
#txts#the other hand is about octopath traveler(the first one) btew#i decided to go play it through via steam bc...i am not a switch person AT ALL somehow#as i have learned through years of having it and a few less years of never even looking at it#but this was mostly about healthbars and exp share or smth similar to it#now the only reason i could imagine for them not being implemented would be: technical limitations#or ppl rly dont care and i am the outsider#BUT i DO know with a skill you can see the health of enemies-just for limited time#and yeah yeah text changes colour when below 50 and near death#near death however is meaningless bc sometime you have foes you 2shot#and sometimes you go into a cave and have no elemental damage dealers(or of the one you need) and fight a skeleton for an eternity#on red#so...like...you know#it REALLY varies#i however do not care enough about it to learn how to mod this myself#i will just look at the mod forums in vague disappointment of things being absent#well forums and the game rly
