#trigun stampede #trigun #meryl stryfe #nicholas d wolfwood #vash the stampede #i cant even elaborate on this episode bc ive spent all day Thinking about it yesterday #and it made me Miserable #i just want to see vash have some autonomy again...#he is a little bit more on the quieter end for stampede as less angry about things but i dont think he's more of a coward in stampede #even though he was transported into his memories and saw and heard those terrible things from the kids and wolfwood #he was able to gather himself and keep going #his resilience has always been the strongest and also saddest thing about him #so it killed me irreversibly when he lost the one person who he could always look back to reliably #the fact knives couldnt even alter anything in rem's dialogue within those memories just stands for how strong her place is in vash's memory #and potentially knives just knows that would be too ooc of her to make in any Universe if she had something horrible.#man. people fr are like "do you expect Loki to always be in armour? 🤨" and I'm here to answer that Yes! Yes I do! In fight situations, at the very least! Take a look at Thor! Take a look at Loki in Thor 1! Or either of them in Avengers 1! Or even - dare I say - Thor 2! Loki's got LOTS of outfits, switching pieces between them and across scenes, even. He goes through the most outfit changes, and they were all cool and detailed and suited to the situations! Even when not armour! So Yes! I either expect him to reflect such bombardment of clothing in the series as well (within bounds of what is reasonable) or armour when he's fighting. Or at the very least for him to be wearing some green.

binge read all of kaiju no 8 a couple days ago :::) and im all caught up w the anime now too i am hooked holy

#so dark out here #umm dead boy detectives review here we go! first two episodes were definitely the worst of the series. both are kinda weirdly paced and #the exposition is done poorly in places. overall from episode 3 onwards it gets much much better with pacing and show dont tell #do not understand for the life of me why they made crystal palace american #kassius nelson (<- crystals actress) was very good in places and kinda ehhh in others and im 90% the issue for most of the latter moments #was just that her american accent is not great. sorry they did that to you queen #dialogue was a bit dodge sometimes as well #stuff i liked now! the plot felt quite solid and i really enjoyed the monster of the week approach i think thats the perfect way to #do a dbd adaptation. was a bit annoyed they immediately went to america but port townsend was an interesting setting and all the #supernatural elements/characters fit in nicely #major props cos i feel like the show mostly pulled off the emotionally charged moments without getting corny and the dialogue was generally #good in those moments #particularly charles/crystals heart to heart in ep. 3 and like the entirety of episode 7 (<- ep 7 was brilliant)#overall very fun watch and i feel that the more irritating typical YA show garb was at least a bit offset by them being willing to get #quite dark in places #bit sad people are mostly posting about edwin becos charles was my favourite. has been entertaining watching americans scramble around #the cultural differences in the show #shaking my inbox like a maraca. if anyone wants to talk at me abt the show i will love you forever #.log

#pokemon #sir aaron #blood curse of sir aaron #no seriously this was supposed to be a one-shot with maybe ONE sequel. now there's 4 sequels and at least 7 directly related side stories #and three (3) fics that are more or less gonna serve as prequels/background for all my canons at this point when riley's involved #it was also only supposed to be one and then i had Ideas and did not stop them.#(benefit of setting things during legends arceus and promptly ignoring the actual protag)#i've only had the core idea rolling around my brain for 6 months and there's this many fics. prequel 1 came before but the others are newer #at least i'm not trying to write an entire game plot this time unlike my other big pokemon project #so much of the conflict could've been avoided with better communication. not all of it mind you but the big issues? yeah #at the very least they could've been handled a LOT sooner #<- series name for all this nonsense in case i wind up talking about it more here. will probably post links here once more is written #i've got a scattered 20k worth of it so far of actual fic and over 10k worth of notes. 2k of those notes are for a single episode rewrite #i know that might not sound like a lot to some people but only the first main fic is done. the third one is arceus chronicles.#im making. choices. that's for sure. and writing so much aura lore you have no idea #i might need to make a family tree soon

me watching sab season 2, just mentally repeating to myself: it's not an adaptation it's high budget fanfiction, it's not an adaptation it's high budget fanfiction

#YOU CAN'T JUST PUT THE BATHROOM SCENE THERE #AND THEN TRY AND CRAM EVERY GOOD KANEJ LINE INTO IT BC YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN THE SPACE FOR THEM ALL TO COME OUT NATURALLY #YOU WERE GIVEN MORE TIME THAN YOU NEEDED TO TELL A STORY AND YOU'VE *COMPACTED* IT #like don't get me wrong i love a lot of what they've done here!#but like. s1 was mirroring the soc plot. so i assumed s2 would mirror crooked kingdom #but like. s1 was MUCH lower stakes than soc and gave room for it to build from there #it was a believable prequel even with the changes made #but s2 just feels like they've tried to fit every good ck moment in here #except they've allowed no buildup whatsoever #so every good moment from the books just feels cheap as hell #and i can't imagine how they could ever try to do the book plots in a future season when they've already sucked them dry #like im only on episode 3 maybe it'll change and im still for the most part enjoying watching it #but. Hmmmm, having many thoughts about the new episode.

I really enjoyed seeing Jack Black, that was awesome. And I loved Din “petty” Djarin knocking over droids. That was fun. Still very much enjoying the season, but I am starting to get a little nervous for how it’s going to end. We’ve got, like, 2 episodes left and I’m not quite sure where we’re going with the plot.

We all assumed Din going to the Mines of Mandalore to redeem himself would be the focus off the season, but it happened in 2 episodes. We’ve gotten some fantastic insight with the covert, and even more growth with Bo Katan. But it still feels like something is missing.

I do feel like Bo reclaiming the saber by killing the creature that attacked Din to be a bit…sloppy in writing. I was hoping for something a bit more dramatic or interesting than that (we don’t even know what that thing was either. It was never explained.) I’m okay with Bo being the leader, but I was hoping to see Din get more action with the Darksaber.

Was also hoping we could get more growth between droids and Din this recent episode. He is obviously still very paranoid of them, and kind of has it out for them. Seeing the battle droids that ATTACKED his home as a kid, I was hoping we’d have something a bit more with that too. He obviously seemed very angry, but like…where’s the trauma from season 1? It obviously wasn’t cured and he’s obviously still distrustful of droids. Idk I guess I also assumed if he’d come face to face with the droids that attacked his village he’d have more of a visceral reaction.

Also thought this would give him a new perspective with droids, what with them wanting to live and make a life for themselves. Hell, I was hoping it would go into them helping him find the piece he needs for IG-11 to restore him.

It just feels like there are a lot of loose threads, and we’re getting so close to the end, I’m worried they’re not going to tie them off. I’m still enjoying this season, I’m beyond excited every Wednesday to see what happens next, but this season does feel a little all over the place.

Anyway, I’m gonna say optimistic anyway! Still looking forward to these last few episodes and still crossing my fingers that Boba shows up! I’ll withhold my entire opinion of the season until the last episode airs!

#this season doesn’t feel a little messy compared to the last two seasons #there’s a lot going on and a lot of subplots that I thought were going to be tied up #but we haven’t made anyway progress on them and it makes me worried that it either won’t be tied off #or that it’ll be super duper rushed #kind of wish they took more time for this season and gave it the run tkme and episodes it REALLY deserves #I’m kind of surprised they didn’t considering this is such a popular Disney show #you think they’d have the resources to take their time and really put their heart into it #but im stay optimistic!#I’ve still been enjoying this season #I love the time we spent with the other Mandos #I love seeing the Children of the Watch #i don’t wanna have a solid opinion on the season until it’s all wrapped up and done #crossing my fingers that these next few episodes really take their time #the mandalorian #din djarin #mando #the mandalorian season 3 #the Mandalorian season 3 spoilers #spoiler talk

count dooku on my mind couldnt even tell you why. star wars has such a vast and expansive canon why am i thinking about DOOKU. hes like not even that interesting hes just some old guy who died. i mean he like had some cool scenes but like? Its count dooku. its fucking count dooku. this is like if i was thinking about general grievous or something like who the fuck cares about him. im sure someone does but that burden should not be mine to bear... and yet? count dooku in my thoughts. not even like coherent things just like. i think hes funny
