there was a bbbat rhyme anima talk event today~ it was as chill of a time as it could be with kimura in the room lol but we got to hear some fun stuff from them!!!!
when asked what were their favourite scenes from the anime, kimura answered the place bbbat’s fight scene episode stood out to him bc it looked like a dungeon
ishiya-san really liked how this time around, they got to rap by groups in addition to teams!!!! it was really neat to sing with his fellow 2gumi lol
amasaki-san loves that one scene from bbbat’s episode where 2️⃣3️⃣🌙⚖️ were attacked by enemies while trying to hit the time switch. that whole it’s a shark!!!! no it’s actually humans!!!! scene is really funny lol
hayama-san really loved seeing everyone’s ending song animations!!!! like you could tell they were made with love and care for each division and their fans
sakakihara-san loved just seeing jyushi’s bandmates make an appearance and seeing them interact within the plot!!!
takeuchi-san really liked the visuals in sanity!!!!! especially that kaleidoscope visual they gave bat!!!!
they also asked for general impression in the anime and starting with bat:
hayama-san was really impressed with the artstyle lol. it’s the first time they got to see bat move and on top of that, the style pays a lot of respect to kazui-sensei’s art!!!!!
sakakihara-san liked how they managed to show jyushi’s growth as a person, have his still push him forward as he takes a step forward to help someone else
takeuchi-san got to see hitoya’s office for himself in the anime and was really impressed with how big his office is actually lmao
on bb side, kimura prefaced with how ordinary bb’s character setting is compared to like, mtc’s yakuza, policeman, soldier set up since they’re just a trio of bros. but that in itself is their power and it’s nice to see in the anime too
ishiya-san liked how they portrayed bonds in the anime and the strength those bonds brought!!! he gave an example of jiro feeling a little pressured but ready to step up to the challenge after hearing saburo’s contributions in the 3gumi episode
amasaki-san really liked how the anime showed a sense of each division protecting their hoods!!! kinda got hoodstar vibes lol
next they had to come up with a word or phrase that encompasses bbbat’s dynamic/vibes. for whatever reason kimura was really having a hard time understanding this as a concept (and it lowkey killed ishiya-san and amasaki-san’s braincells lol) but since bat were on it and ready they went up
hayama-san wrote ‘love’, sakakihara-san wrote ‘shounen manga’ and takeuchi-san wrote ‘one big family’
hayama-san said bbbat share similar expressions of love, bat shows their familial like love, bb has their love as siblings and ichiro and kuukou have carried on their love as partners from their naughty busters days (at which hayama-san and sakakihara-san started giggling like the fudanshi they are LMAO)
their energy and action kinda gives shounen manga to sakakihara-san!!!!
it was at this time bb finished their answers and revealed they all so happened like woah crazy coincidence bruh wrote the same stupid pun that doubled as them saying ‘they’ve got some kick ass ball busting energy!!!’ and them flexing their bonds lol
bc of this takeuchi-san didn’t get to explain lol and after kimura poked fun at him for it, hayama-san managed to tie all their response together since they were still similar in vibe. amasaki-san said hayama-san was being too nice to them LOL 😭😭😭
the last segment was them playing a quiz game where they had to watch a scene from the anime and answer a weirdly specific question about it lol. bat won 30-29 (LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) and it was very entertaining lol but there were two moments that made me really laugh lmao
at the start of it, ishiya-san and amasaki-san all of a sudden stood up and started jeering and shit talking like actual six year olds lol. not a single bat seiyuu had the thought to rise to the provocation LOL but takeuchi-san protectively blocked them with his arm and told them they didn’t to need to stoop to their level lmao
for the first question, they needed to answer what was ichiro’s phone battery at in the scene. kimura loudly stated this was his hour (he knew the answer lol) and as takeuchi-san stepped up to rep bat’s answer, hayama-san coyly leaned over to look directly at kimura to ask, ‘was it in the 70s? 🙂or the 60s? 🙂maybe 50s? 🙂’ and the way kimura just froze LOL
kimura: that was really scary!!! like yikes!!!! yikes!!!! i thought i was being puppeted for a second!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
#this is vee speaking#i’m a little brain dead this morning lol i’m typing this but i’m not sure if it’s making sense lol#so gomen if it’s a little stilted my usual flair lol is currently mia 😭😭😭#this bbbat event originally was supposed to only have ishiya-san amasaki-san and the bat seiyuu and lmao#me seeing the lineup: hm!!! well no kimura is kinda sad ig but that just means everyone will actually get to speak and really nerd out lol#hypani twt: actually kimura subaru can make it!!!!!!!!#me:…………………………………………………………………………………………………..okay 😌#like it’s entertaining to watch ishiya-san and amasaki-san be kimura’s dual tsukkomi and backup boke#but i like listening to ishiya-san nerd over hypmic lol he was actually going to have a different answer for that bbbat vibes segment#but bb had a joke to make instead lol but it’s fine!!!!!! i like shenanigans too!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!#ALSO I WISH THE BAT SEIYUU TOOK PICS OF THEMSELVES MORE OFTEN THEIR CLOTHING COORDINATION WAS SO UNDERSTATED BUT FIRE#THEY ALL HAD A PURPLE TOP AND A SEETHRU/OPAQUE ACCENT#HAYAMA-SAN BUST OUT A FISHNET TOP TAKEUCHI-SAN HAD A KNIT FIT KINDA TOP AND SAKAKIHARA-SAN HAD A WHITE OPAQUE TOP#AND THEN HAYAMA-SAN HAD ON WHITE PANTS SAKAKIHARA-SAN HAD ON BLACK AND TAKEUCHI-SAN HAD A COMBINATION OF THE TWO#IT WAS REAL EASY ON THE EYES IDK WHY THEY NEEDED TO SERVE FOR THIS TALK EVENT BUT THEY DID AND I APPRECIATE THEM LOL

🌙🌙Sengoku Basara 30 days challenge 🌙🌙
Q4 : Least favorite game ?
(well actually it's Q3 bc I'm a dumbass who can't read)
So I took all the games even the ones I haven't played, I'd pick the one that I want to play the least which is Yukimura-den (I usually don't like the concept of reboots), but if I talk only about the ones I played that would be Utage 🤔
My reasonning being that since I consider SB2H to be a game of its own apart from SB2, I have the same standarts for Utage and generally I just feel like they could have added more content, and it was a bit disappointing that the new stories were only three chapters longs. I also feel like the menu and character selection looks a bit ugly compared the the usual game.
Though I still don't consider it bad, I love the addition of a new difficulty, and I feel like finally getting to play some oldies character with a full upgraded set is satisfying af. Kojûrô feels sooo good to play !!!

Today part of my collection shall be this very random DVD I got from Vinted. I think it contains some clips and a captation of some seiyuu event 🤔 haven't watched it yet but I think it was originaly part of some SB2H special edition on the ps2.
I've been considering purchasing a japanese ps2 in order to play the SB games that aren't available on ps3 but I don't think they're worth the investment so idk

Anyway see you tomorrow with the right question this time 😭😭😭 (I'm sorry again)

Seiyuu Challenge #17
17: The series with the best cast overall?
Boku no Hero Academia
THIS CAST IS TOO COOL TO PASS UP. They won top pick because they are so awesome! They have so many big names in the cast, and they are so much fun to watch on and off the screen. They have so many events together, their radio shows are entertaining, and there are people out there translating stuff that keep people like me alive and happy. Honestly, I can go on all day.
Haikyuu!!
(Hey, I can still say that even if I haven’t completed the series, right?)
They share a lot of Hero Academia’s cast! Plus, there are a lot of translated events that show they are really close. The chemistry is great, and the story is strong.
Gintama
This one. This one is the one that had me going, “I can only include one, but OH MY GOODNESS THIS CAST.” Gintama is a crazy anime. Dick jokes, poop jokes, and the puns, this show is not for everyone, but with the stupidly funny writing, the cast just takes it and runs. They all have extremely strong vocal cords. Shout-out to Tomokazu Sugita, Rie Kugimiya, and Daisuke Sakaguchi. They all make the show entertaining, and I think a lot of people are devastated that this show’s end is coming soon. I know Akira Ishida likes to be alone in real life, but they eventually convinced him to go out with them. Akira is also close enough to one of the temporary members of the cast to tell him to “GO TO HELL!” when he asked him to make him coffee.
Bungou Stray Dogs
Dazai-- I mean Miyano became quite close to Atsushi-- I mean Yuuto when recording, and a lot of them had a bond off-screen. The Soukoku duo (Mamo and Kishou) are also quite close since they’ve worked on a lot of stuff together. There’s even footage of them dancing in-sync for some Utapri thing. Everyone on the production staff works so hard, and they all have so much fun making this anime. But not going to lie, the Dark Era arc (season two) was emotional for them.
Nichijou
Why haven’t they done more together? Who knows? The cast of Nichijou just added that extra level when it came to the over-the-top comedy. Sure, the art carried a lot along with the writing, but their voices were just the icing on the cake. This show was really funny at times (even with its misses).
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
They share a lot with the Gintama cast, but they hold their own too! It was a funny show because of the cast. The writing was simplistic, and this didn’t have the budget of the other Nichijou when it comes to animation. The seiyuu made this anime funny.
Durarara
With an absolutely stacked cast that relies on its characters and its actors to make the story, of course, this anime deserves a spot.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Gekkan Shoujo was already funny, but the funniness was enhanced by the cast. I laughed so hard watching this anime, and I still rewatch the scenes when I feel down.
Koe no Katachi
This anime, the writing, the lines, you’d be lying if you said it didn’t touch you emotionally. Saori Hayami, Miyu Irino, all of them smashed it out of the park.
[Me: Still internally sobbing for many reasons]
Magi
The first real anime I watched had one of the best casts. This was one of Yuuki Kaji’s first main character roles. Can you believe that? The seiyuu events are really funny too, and the anime itself is hilarious. I have rewatched all 50 episodes of the anime because I enjoyed it that much.
Madoka Magica
The cast is so strong that I only need to watch clips to know it’s strong
Toradora
This cast is iconic, and I wouldn’t want anybody playing these characters except for the original Japanese cast. I know the dub is good too, but these people are iconic. The emotional ups and downs of the anime feel real despite being a traditional rom-com on the surface.
Noragami
Not just anyone can make an anime both funny and serious at the same time. While writing and animation are worth mentioning, the cast (both sub and dub) do an amazing job. Even when I read some of the manga, I read it in their voices.
Anohana
Same idea as Koe no Katachi. This anime, the writing, the lines, you’d be lying if you said it didn’t touch you emotionally.
Kimi to Boku
I wouldn’t have watched this anime if it wasn’t for the seiyuu, but I’m sure glad I did. I loved it. It was relatable enough. It had enough romance and drama along with comedic hijinks. It isn’t your typical shounen, but it isn’t a shoujo or anything. The cast is just as fun as the characters themselves too!
Ouran High School Host Club
This doesn’t need much of an explanation. The legendary Maaya Sakamoto? The legendary Mamoru Miyano? Maaya and Kenichi Suzumura are both in this anime. But both dub and sub are hilarious.
Sakamichi no Apollon
This anime felt so real because of the voice acting, the music, and the writing (even though they sped through the manga at the speed of light).
THIS CRASHED WHILE WRITING THIS, AND I HAD TO REDO A LOT OF IT. SCREW YOU TUMBLR!

30 Questions about Seiyuu (2022 Edition)
Day 1
"Your favourite male seiyuu?" @natsthinkitythinkthinkthonk (tagged bc they asked :3)
江口拓也 Eguchi Takuya

If anyone knows my blog by now or just took a glance at my bio, it wouldn't be a surprise that I chose him for this 🥰💛
No idea where to begin with him. I've voiced my opinions about him and love for him over the past 5 years so I honestly have no more words to say other than I love him as a seiyuu and as a person. His talents know no bounds be it voice acting, designing clothing, live acting, modeling, professional writing, music writing, singing, live music performances, dancing,,, the list goes on.
As a senpai, he's one of the sweetest and kindest in the industry. In the past, I've said how I love that the way his kouhais show affection and appreciation and love for him is heavily teasing him,, borderline "bullying" him 💀 but truthfully, just joking around and being sarcastic with one another. And I resonate with that. That's one way to show just how close you are with another person. And being able to playfully poke fun at someone shows just how much you know about them and how close you are to them.
As a kouhai, he's still the punching bag, too 😂 ,,, maybe it's worse? Honestly, I don't keep track. His relationships with his senpais are strong because he knows how to take care of them and have fun with them while also maintaining his respect for them (and let them tease you nonstop)
HIs personality is one that I've come to love a lot too. I just love his dorky, clumsy self a lot. AND HIS LAUGH.
youtube
I remember when I first heard it I was like '...that's not real, is it?' and then as I kept hearing it, it just became a part of him that was very endearing to me. Don't ask me why,, that's just how it is. It's just another part of him that makes him him and that alone makes me love it and him all the more. Also it's an indication that he's happy and having a good time, which then makes me happy and have a good time with whatever I'm watching/listening to like a radio, seiyuu event of any kind etc etc.
ANYWAY enough of this sappy rant 😅
All in all, I love Egu very very much. He'll forever be my seiyuu oshi until the day I die 💜

I'm baaack! ~ ✨
Or, to be more precise, I slowly begin my path to return and full recovery 😌 'cause August and September have been difficult months for me.
It’s gonna be small stuff, but I REALLY do love all sorts of templates and the flashmobs, so… Thanks Squiddy T from Twitter for being able to fill it out 🤗

original template
My result
And some little comments-explanations ;^
3rd favorite character: [Shuichi Saihara] First place goes to Kaito and second to Korekiyo ~ Yeah, this is how much I love V3 boys 💘
Liked at first, not as much now [Nagito Komaeda] : Oh, yeah-yeah-yeah, it's me and my love-hate to Nagito such hopeless unbearable baby boi 🤝 ;)))
Deserved better more than anyone else [Sakura Ogami]: Some questions? No questions - just look at chapter 4 in DR1.
7th least favorite character: It was quite difficult to calculate, but 7th place is far from the 1st + lately Kaede seems to be starting to interest me more.
Favorite Monokub: Honestly, I don’t know much about personalities of these kubs… But, at first glance, Monophanie fits me well.
Blandest design: It's really hurts my eyes every time. Poor girl Akane :<
Would challenge to a formal duel: I don’t stand a chance, but it’ll be beautiful at least… Peko is delightful 💕
Would snap them out of existence with the Infinity Stones: I laugh hard every time :'D There can’t be another character [Nagito Komaeda].
Would bury alive in my wine cellar: [Korekiyo Shinguji] I don't have that one, but if suddenly… Okay, I just thought it would match with his aesthetic 🤣 And with Celes too. Goth's deaths be like-
Best character development: [Shuichi Saihara] It’s hard to argue, I’m certain.
Fav dr1 design: [Kiyoko Kirigiri] She’s so shocked because I’ve always treated her equally (without much affection or interest)… But the design is really good.
Would change design but not much: [Kaede Akamatsu] I like her fanmades a lot more though there are not much changes (Danganronpa’s designers should just stop wearing miniskirts on girls every time).
Favorite Japanese VA performance: [Monokuma] The Japanese version has much more… charisma? while English seems more annoying to me.
Favorite English VA performance: [Kaito Momota] Inspiration VS Rudeness. I think something like that..;) Also, I really don’t like the tradition of voicing guys in Japanese dubbing by women. Only Nagito's and Makoto's seiyuu did well job in this point.
Character I think is unfairly criticized: [Korekiyo Shinguji] Ready day and night to protect my folklore-son ✊🔥
Most deserving of a hug: [Gonta Gokuhara] It's trully is. And I also thought that his hugs should be incredibly comfortable 🥰
Would marry: [Kaito Momota] No words. In fact, we already are-
Love them but would not get along well with: [Kokichi Ouma and Byakuya Togami] They can easily bully me 😅
Least relatable: [Yasuhiro Hagakure] Sorry, Hiro, I don’t have THAT kind of money for your 30% 😆
Character who you like despite not seeming like someone you'd like: [Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu] He was greatly helped by his further development ^^
That's all! It would be nice to see other’s results too..~

30 day seiyuu challenge Week 2
Hello~ This post is for the 2nd week of the ongoing seiyuu challenge (or should I say Seiyuu appreciation?)
Due to the nature of questions, there might be a bunch of minor spoilers here (in GIF or video form) for various anime (like Robotics;Notes, Nanbaka, Assassination Classroom, Danshi Koukouse no Nichijou, Psycho-pass 3, Kuroko no Basuke, Tada-kun wa Koi Wo Shinai, etc). If you absolutely hate spoilers, you may want to skip or proceed with caution.
If you don't particularly care about minor spoilers and have nothing better to do, you are most welcome to take a plunge in this long post filled with my opinions and fangirling.
8. Seiyuu with most impressive range (character types)
Fukuyama Jun
I was debating whether I should swap my answers for number 7 and 8. Ishida Akira and Fukuyama Jun both have impressive ranges in terms of pitch and character types. I just decided to go with my original answers.
You can tell that he is an experienced voice actor.^^ He has a variety of characters that'll make you go: "Wait, that was HIM?" "How can these two characters have the same voice actor?!"
I remember laughing so hard when I learned that Kazuma's(Noragami) seiyuu is the same as Lelouch's(Code Geass)…and then I saw Assassination Classroom.
Now I don't get too shocked. My reactions are more on the lines of…"Oh? Cool! As expected of Fukuyama Jun.”
9. Seiyuu with best character singing voice
Toyonaga Toshiyuki
Toyonaga Toshiyuki already has a nice singing voice. It is even more amazing that he can sing in different voices.
It's no surprise if a seiyuu can sing well. Sometimes, though, in character songs, I tend to hear the seiyuu rather than the character. [Hmm…I can't find the right words to explain this…It is like…Say for example I listened to Seiyuu A's character songs from various anime, it would sound like it came from the same person--which is understandable, since it is much harder to voice act while singing (Don't get me wrong please, I'm not trying to criticizes other seiyuus. I'm just trying to show better what I admire about Toyonaga-san. I'm also no authority on voice acting/singing.)]
What makes Toyonaga Toshiyuki's singing special is that even when singing, his characters sound different from each other. Other seiyuus are able to do this too, but I think that Toyonaga Toshiyuki's range is much wider.
Note: I do have a video compilation of Toyonaga Toshiyuki's character songs, but it might take me a while to post it. Stay tuned~
In the meantime, here is a nice compilation I found on Youtube:
youtube
Can we admire how he can change his tone & voice quality and still sound good?
10. Seiyuu with best inside voice
I couldn't think of the right word then, but what I meant was inner monologue.
Sugita Tomokazu
Need I explain this?
THIS IS just one of the reasons WHY:
youtube
This is just a fraction of his voice acting prowess. But I just love the contrast between the character's inside voice and speaking voice.
11. Seiyuu with best drama/ crying
Nakamura Yuuchi
When his character cries, you'll want to cry to. Personally, I don’t react much when watching anime (I usually watch with someone else). But Nakamura Yuuchi's powers are too strong. And it's not even the strong emotional outbursts/bawling yet.
Maybe the reason why it's so effective is because he usually gets casted as a tough character. So when his character cries, you know that it’s really serious.
How can he express so much sadness with minimal crying noises?
12. Seiyuu with best laugh
I know some seiyuu are known for their unique, contagious laughter (like Shimono Hiro). I decided to focus on voice acting laughter^^
I never gave much thought to how much information about a character’s personality is communicated just by the way he laughs. Seiyuus are amazing.
Kakihara Tetsuya
His character laughs are just lighthearted, pleasant to listen to AND contagious. even when it’s supposed to be annoying
He also does great creepy evil laughs.
Special mention: Nakamura Yuuchi
His laughs sound different for each character, and they never sound awkward.
13. Seiyuu with best scream
Kimura Ryohei
Similar to Okamoto Nobuhiko, Kimura Ryohei's screams sound controlled and real. Plus, he also delivers the necessary emotions.
Can we please appreciate how Kimura Ryohei delivered this scream of shock and anguish? (in Robotics;Notes)
I like how “carefully measured” his screams/shouts/miscellaneous noises sound. No matter how loud/emotional, it doesn't hurt my eardrums. He is so good in controlling the intensity of his voice.
PS. His voice sounds really good when you listen through headphones.
Special mention: Uemura Yuuto
Impressive performance as Yuliy Jirov, Jyugo, and Atsushi Nakajima. (He is really good with calm characters that are part beast :P)
14. Seiyuu with best English
Miyano Mamoru
It is expected that seiyuus who spent years outside Japan would have much better English pronunciation (seiyuus like Ayumu Murase, Hino Satoshi, Wataru Komada etc). But I chose Miyano Mamoru for biased other reasons.
For a non-native English speaker, Mamo-chan's English is pretty good. It's not perfect, but it does sound that much effort was put behind it. Have you heard him speak English as Asano Gakushu (in Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, the sports festival episode)? That really got my attention.
Or as Rin Matsuoka in Free! Eternal Summer?
youtube
Please appreciate his clear pronunciations and proper pauses.
And he also knows enough English that he can intentionally sound bad at it.

30 utapri questions! Tag yo friends
Meme by @stanreiji
Tagged by @utanoprincendymion
1. Your best boy?
Otoya!
2. Your least favorite boy?
Technically Eichii and Nagi (ironically) because their first impression on me was pretty strong. However, I'm trying to grow to like them, so I don't dislike them as much as I did compared to when I first saw them.
3. A character that you never thought you would love as much as you do now?
Ren is that character for me. I initially didn't like him as much, but slowly I began to realize he's (most likely) secretly this big softie and I've come to like him more.
4. A character you can relate to in any way?
Natsuki in the sense we both own a lot of plushies. If he obsesses over Piyo-chan, I obsess over a plushie named Molang.
5. A character that you think deserves more love?
In the Japanese community I say Otoya (I just say this because I want more Otoya on pixiv, don't take me seriously). In the international community, I think Natsuki. Personally I haven't seen too much surrounding Natsuki, but it would be nice if I could see more of him (I'm also probably just not searching hard enough).
6. A character you would want as your partner/lover?
Otoya, I think that will be my default answer. Personally I see myself in a position where I am the parental/sibling figure of one of the characters. However if push comes to shove, Otoya.
7. A character you would want as your mentor/senpai?
Reiji because he's like a big brother figure. I could probably relax around him and learn from him more comfortably.
8. Your favorite ship?
Syo x Ai
9. A character that you want to cosplay/have already cosplayed?
I have cosplayed Otoya once. I conveniently had clothes very similar to his at the time and a red short wig.
10. Favorite side character?
Shibuya Tomochika
11. Your favorite solo song?
Brand New Melody
12. Your favorite duet song?
Haruhana
13. Your favorite trio song?
Trois
14. Your favorite group song?
Ultra Blast
15. Your least favorite song?
I don't have any I recall
16. Your favorite singer?
Ittoki Otoya
17. Your favorite group/trio/duo?
ST☆RISH / ROT / Ren and Masato
18. Your favorite member of Starish?
ITTOKI OTOYA
19. Your favorite member of Quartet Night?
Mikaze Ai
20. Your favorite member of Heavens?
Ootri Eiji
21. Your favorite seiyuu/voice actor?
You dare ask me this question when I love them all?! I talk about them the most so I'll say Aoi Shouta, Terashima Takuma, and Mamoru Miyano.
22. Favorite Drama CD?
Lycoris no Mori
23. Your favorite shining live card?
It's a tie between Otoya's 2020 birthday card and his Valentine's card. Although, on a relatable scale it would be his Zwei card.
24. Your favorite song beatmap?
I Am Here! It's a pain, but that's what makes it fun in a way! It's a challenge!
25. Your least favorite song beatmap?
Netsujou Serenade because it took me 2 years to finally full combo it.
26. Black Deja Vu or White Gravity?
Black Deja Vu (They both sound great though)
27. Utapri merch that you own/want?
I have Rosso now thanks to @d-redlocks buying it for me as a gift! And why buy merch when you can make your own (I don't I just make DIY stickers). I do want pins, figures, plushies, bags, whatever Shining Store has up, the CDs, a light stick. Just a lot.
28. How did you get into Utapri?
It was 2013-2015 when I got into the series. I know I watched it when the 2nd season was either airing or stopped airing. I just happened to see a lot of screenshots of it on Instagram and finally gave in to watching it. So I got into it through social media.
29. A set theme in shining live that you want to see in the future?
I don't think it would hurt to do a call back to the old Shining Academy uniforms.
30. Why do you love your best boy?
It's been so long that I can't remember why Otoya was my initial favorite. But I can say I love Otoya because of his personality. He's kind and cheerful. He makes me smile when I'm in the dumps. I fell in love with him more when I found out about his backstory (in terms of the original game). He wasn't just a cheerful boy he had a lot more depth. Also the fact he just somehow makes everyone in the Utapri world not hate him.

30 Questions Challenge about Seiyuu
Inspired by @serene-grace49 post.
01: Your favorite male seiyuu?
Well, Hosoya Yoshimasa (if it’s not obvious enough). Other favourites include Kamiya Hiroshi, Suzuki Tatsuhisa, Suwabe Junichi, Miyano Mamoru and Okamoto Nobuhiko. (and any others I like/know.)
02: Your least favorite male seiyuu?
None… all are talented and great.
03: Your favorite female seiyuu?
Saori Hayami, Miyuki Sawashiro and Hana Kanazawa. I don’t know all of them that well, but I get a shock when I see their roles and they’re all amazing.
04: Your least favorite female seiyuu?
None.
05: A seiyuu you’d watch in anything?
Hosoya Yoshimasa, haha. I literally watched several anime just because he cast in it (aka No.6, Show by Rock!!, Dances with the Dragon - though its bad, Magelo box and Gakuen Babysitters - as a small character)
I would also try to watch any anime I know with other voice actors I like. (Kamiya, Mamo, Tatsu, Suwabe)
06: A seiyuu that always makes you laugh?
Well, Miyano Mamoru XD He’s really hilarious. I love his enthusiasm and him making fun of and imitating Hosoya is the best.
07: The seiyuu you recognize the easiest?
I literally did a post about it haha, so here’s the link:
If I have to add one more seiyuu, it’ll be Yonaga Tsubasa.
08: The seiyuu you recognize the hardest?
I also did a post about this, here’s the link:
If I have to add one more seiyuu, it’ll be Kakihara Tetsuya. (Though recently I’m kind of recognising more of his characters)
09: A seiyuu you’d rather not watch in anything?
I don’t have any, because I don’t dislike anyone.
10: A seiyuu that creeps you out?
...Sugita Tomokazu? XD In an event called Inu no Boku Secret Service, he knew literally everything about Hanazawa Kana, and he kept “harassing” her throughout the event. I know he’s mostly joking though. But still... just a little creepy.
11: The seiyuu with the best singing voice?
Hahaha, isn’t it obvious? HOSOYA YOSHIMASA.
Though, I also like Suzuki Tatsuhisa (who’s the VOCALIST of a band, Oldcodex), Shimazaki Nobunaga, Kaji Yuuki, Miyano Mamoru, and Taniyama Kishou (who’s also the VOCALIST of a band, Granrodeo)
12: A seiyuu you have a crush on?
Well, other than Hosoya, probably Tatsu? He’s hot, okay?! And I was his fan before Hosoyan.
I also like Shimazaki Nobunaga, Kaji Yuuki, Yamashita Daiki, Okamoto Nobuhiko and Miyano Mamoru.
13: The seiyuu you’d pick to play you?
Probably Saori Hayami. She’d be perfect as me I think XD
14: Your favorite role from your favorite male seiyuu?
Um this is really hard for me to choose, so here’s my top ten favourite roles of Hosoya Yoshimasa:
15: Your favorite role from your favorite female seiyuu?
Hayami Saori: Shirayuki in Akagami Shirayuki.
16: The seiyuu with the worst singing voice?
As far as I know, Kamiya Hiroshi. Wait, let me explain.
I know he’s freaking talented and all, but I just can’t get over his singing (except for this one in AOT). His voice is high and that’s it. It’s like he’s sort of screaming the songs a little. So, sorry, as much as I love Kamiyan, I don’t think I’m gonna buy his album or anything.
17: The series with the best cast overall?
Well, definitely Boku no Hero Academia. This anime literally has everyone who fits the voice of the character. Honestly, I’d really like to credit Yamashita Daiki (Midoriya), Ishikawa Kaito (Iida), Okamoto Nobuhiko (Bakugou), Kaji Yuuki (Todoroki), Aoi Yuuki (Asui) and Sakura Ayane (Uraraka) for perfectly fitting their rols, though of course including other voice actors: Inoue Marina (Yaoyorozu), Miyaka Kenta (All Might), Suwabe Junichi (Aizawa Shota) and Hosoya Yoshimasa (Tokoyami).
18: A series you would not have watched had a seiyuu you liked played a role in it?
No.6 (Hosoya Yoshimasa and Kaji Yuuki). I had said a million times but this is the anime that saved Hosoya. And it’s one of the most beautiful, slightly tragic and most beautiful singing by Hosoya ever. No regrets watching it at all.
19: The first seiyuu you remember liking?
Kamiya Hiroshi. I was simply amazed that he could voice such a cool character (Levi Ackerman) and such a gentle character (Natsume Takashi) at the same time.
20: A seiyuu you don’t like as much as others do?
I don’t know... none?
21: The seiyuu with the most acting range?
Definitely Okamoto Nobuhiko. He’s REALLY AMAZING. I still cannot believe in the difference of all the characters he voiced.
22: The seiyuu with the least acting range?
Can’t think of anyone, so.
23: Cool dude seiyuu
Tatsu, Mamo (though he’s mostly hilarious), Fukuyama Jun I guess? And Nakamura Yuichi.
24: A seiyuu you make fun of?
I don’t really make fun of anyone, but I do find the dorkiness in Hosoyan amusing, and he get teased a lot how along with Shimazaki Nobunaga.
25: A seiyuu that makes you like any character they portray?
Other than Hosoya, Okamoto I guess?
26: A seiyuu you’d hang out with?
Hosoya XD I’ll probably faint before that though.
Well Mamo, Tatsu and Okamoto too. Mamo would be hilarious along with Tatsu, and I’ll be happily eating sweets with Okamoto.
27: Best seiyuu match-ups
Kamiyan and OnoD, Hosoyan and Mamo, Mamo and Tatsu, Tatsu and Shimazaki, Nakamura and Sugita, Mamo and Kishou, etc etc.
28: Best seiyuu match-ups, romance edition?
Suzumura Kennichi and Maya Sakamoto…
They are a married couple so... all the best to their marriage!
29: Seiyuu, who surprised you with their non-voice acting skills?
Um, Hosoya’s singing? And the fact that he plays the guitar.
I’m also surprised on Okamoto’s love of sweets XD
30: A newly known seiyuu who impressed you?
The first one that comes to mind is Arisa Date, who voiced Narumi Momose in Wotaku ni koi wa muzukashii. I think her as Narumi was not bad, so I don’t mind of see more of her.
Whew, this was tiring. If anyone like to do this as well don’t hesitate and just tag me!

It's #Haikyuu Day - 8/19! 🏐 It's my perfect excuse to speed watch the whole series for the nth time. XD My fangirl life changed when I got into this fandom. I admit, I was late but I think I caught up well enough. 😆 And there's no sign of stopping! It's also Day 30 of my 30-Day Haikyuu challenge and the question is: "Why do you love Haikyuu?" Well, how long do you have? XD I honestly don't have one main reason. I'm like that with things I truly obsess over and this series definitely counts as one of that. It just ticked all my boxes: volleyball happens to be a favorite sport to watch, sports anime, school setting, SUPERB SEIYUU CAST, drama, music, characters you root for (EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM), development... I just love it, okay? #anime https://www.instagram.com/p/BmqzSrsjhim/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=132i7jyfnsd1l

Utapri Questions/Challenge!
so a while back i’ve made a huge list of utapri questions on my twitter for everyone to answer, and i thought some people on tumblr might enjoy it as well! since it was so long, it’d take you at least 2 hours to answer all of them so i decided to remove a bunch of questions and added a few newer questions i haven’t seen around before. you can either answer all the questions at once in a repost/reblog, or treat it like a 30 day challenge and answer one question a day! the first 20 questions can be answered more thoroughly, but song questions are usually without much explanation so i figured doing 3 of them per day would make up for it. if you follow this method you’ll end up with 30 days exactly, but of course you can answer them however you want! i’d love to see everyone’s answers!

Seiyuu Challenge #14 + 15
I feel like I should’ve made this shorter, but I didn’t. I included gifs and up to five-ish characters provided by my top two seiyuu. Also, mini-blurbs on why I like the characters because I like them all. I restricted anime that I have no watched at least a season or a movie of.
14. Your favourite role from your favourite male seiyuu?
Nobuhiko Okamoto:
Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugou - Boku no Hero Academia
Excuse me, I’m still shook over that Deku vs Kacchan fight. This scene shook me to my core. The amount of acting in the pain and agony in Bakugou’s character... come on, his throat survives this role, and he apparently doesn’t mind it at all. Let’s just take a moment to recognize how hard he works despite being told to give up his dreams.
Karma Akabane - Assassination Classroom
From Shonen Jump character to another, Karma is a slick, smooth, and crazy type of character. Unlike Bakugou, he’s far more refined in his methods, and even though he has his “good looks”, his classmates admit that he’s a bit crazy (except for Okuda who says he’s a nice guy).
Mikoshiba - Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
“LIAR! I KNOW ALL YOUR PLANS!” - Mikorin Honestly, he and Yuzuki are the best part of this anime. He may appear to be the only one without a ship by the end of the series, but don’t worry, he does get someone in the manga. This bisexual disaster is a closet otaku who says what’s on his mind, and Nobu portrays him to a T.
Obi - Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
Obi was the best part of this anime. He’s the secondary interest because of the lack of eyebrows. Either way, I was thinking while I watched this, “So this is the voice he uses for otome games!” Not a bad choice I must say. He’s quite the trickster, but he’s also quite a gentleman.
Rin Okumura - Blue Exorcist
This was one of his first really prominent leading roles, but it’s also one of his most memorable. He might’ve grown up in a strict Catholic household, but he plays Satan’s son in this anime! He gives Rin the right amount of protagonist edge and purity at the same time.
Yoshimasa Hosoya:
Sentarou - Sakamichi no Apollon AND Nezumi - No. 6
CHOOSING IS HARD, OKAY? THEY’RE BOTH NUMBER ONE!
I even had to exclude Haruhiro, and that role was really good too! For the rest, I had a clear favourite, but this one was too hard and even after rewatching scenes, I couldn’t make up my mind. From the complexity of Nezumi to the tough adolescent emotions of Sentarou, both left an impact on me as a viewer, so I really couldn’t choose.
Haruhiro - Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
This was an unexpectedly good anime, and unlike SAO, it stays true to the plot and derives most of its conflicts through emotional hardships these characters feel making them feel more realistic. This was a runner-up, but I knew that my top two would be the ones above.
Doppo Kunikida - Bungou Stray Dogs
This is mostly because he’s a supporting character, but I found that the OVA did him justice. Dazai never stops messing with people, if anyone’s wondering. Kunikida’s the tough, rigid, idealistic soccer mom who’s coming back for a season three. LET’S GOOOOO!
Fumikage Tokoyami - Boku no Hero Academia
Give my edgy boi some more screen time. His appearance in the “test of courage” mini-arc was honestly one of the highlights for his character and for that arc.
15. Your favourite role from your favourite female seiyuu?
Miyuki Sawashiro:
Bishamon - Noragami
The second season of Noragami gave her exactly what she deserved development-wise, and she continues to play a major part in the series. Her badass abilities and her values are literally of a god, and her arc was literally the best arc.
Celty Sturluson - Durarara
“How is she gonna play a character without a head?” - me when I first read the description She just has a knack for getting badass female roles, doesn’t she? I think that’s what we all like. She is one of the main characters in the series, and both this role and Bishamon’s both star alongside Jun Fukuyama. They make quite the duo, don’t they?
Yuzuki Seo - Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
“WHAT HAPPENED TO OKADA?!” - me even now Seo steals the show even though she wasn’t introduced until a little later into the series. Her presence is so strong, her habits are annoying for the people around her, but I would totally go see a movie with her even though I hate horror.
Maria - Arakawa Under the Bridge
I usually hate characters like her. The “men are unsophisticated pigs” type, but this character is an exception. She made me laugh, and she tore through some of the characters so fast. It was hilarious, she’s a legendary roaster, and she even has her own opening. When Miyuki showed up on a variety show, one of the people asked for her to speak as this character. She said, “Sit and bow like the dog you are” they complied and did so. That’s how much people like this character.
Kana - Parasyte
Okay, maybe she was a bit too nosy, but I liked her better than the main girl. Miyuki portrayed her so well.
Maaya Sakamoto
Haruhi Fujioka - Ouran High School Host Club
Haruhi is the best character in Host Club. She’s down-to-earth, she does things for herself, and she knows what’s up about gender. Her calm state and absolute “I’m done with these rich kids” aura are given life in both dub and sub, and since I watched Ouran subbed, Maaya Sakamoto provided the perfect Haruhi.
Nino - Arakawa Under the Bridge
The space girl from Venus is the best fisherman in the world and has such a cool dude type of personality. Only Maaya can voice Nino in my book. There is no dub. Let’s keep it that way. Nino’s voice is part of her character. She is so laid-back and lax about everything.
Crona - Soul Eater
*constant screaming* Whatever I said about the last one, that doesn’t apply here. Crona is a bit of a mess at first, but that’s because they’re actually enduring abuse and torture. Crona is not the easiest character to play. They’re constantly screaming and getting bullied, but when Crona finally opens up, they become a great person. Also, their gender doesn’t matter. Maaya has played so many androgynous badasses. This one is another one.
Shiki Ryougi - Kara no Kyoukai
From one androgynous character to another, Shiki sometimes refers to herself as “boku” (masculine version of “I”), and she is a badass. She’s probably far more complex than I can understand since I only watched the first three movies, but I’m still putting her on this list.

30 Questions about Seiyuu (2022 Edition) Day 2
"Your least favourite male seiyuu?" @natsthinkitythinkthinkthonk
Uhhhh so for this one, I'm basing my opinion off of recent events.
I know that there are some people out there that think that 'you shouldn't connect seiyuu and character. you should keep them completely separate from each other' but for this question, my interpretation of it is that it's asking about who my least favorite voice actor is, not just based off of their acting but as a person as well.
I think it's obvious where I'm going with this and I made a randomly long rant so I'm just gonna put it under a cut. Read at your own discretion.
I gotta go with the men that have been wrapped up in scandals with confirmations that their alleged actions actually happened to some extent with photo evidence or bascially confirmed straight from their mouths when making apologies: Namikawa Daisuke, Okamoto Nobuhiko, Suzuki Tatsuhisa, Sakurai Takahiro (just gonna note that the latter 3 all happened one year after another,,, the seiyuu fandom can't get a break)
I haven't talked a lot about any of these on my blog but I will say this: with all of the objective and confirmed information that I had tried to obtain regarding all 4 seiyuu, it's been hard to even listen to their voices anymore because of how much of an uproar these scandals caused and how utterly scandalous each situation was. (Granted, I still support their characters and know that they're talented as seiyuu but if they were in an event, I'd just have a neutral reaction to their presence.)
As a budding seiyuu fan that had made the quick decision to deep dive into various seiyuu events, and radios, and any kind of interactions really, when they were but a few months or so into the fandom, it's not a surprise that characters and seiyuu were associated with each other.
I made it a huge point that I wanted to be able to recognize seiyuu with just breathing or barely saying anything. I took pride in that and I still do now. But doing so allowed me to begin to care about the person behind the voice. I got to (somewhat) know the people behind the voices,, rather, I got to know the façade that they showed during events and the personality that they know that fans would want to see.
And honestly, this can apply to any and all seiyuu. Any and all celebrities, in fact. Heck, even people that you'd know in real life. Everyone puts up façades, especially when they're at work, because they need to maintain a certain type of professionalism and respect.
In the case of these 4 seiyuu, despite the fact that their issues had been revealed to the public via tabloids/pesky journalism, they're still issues. And it made me, personally, realize that these men are capable of the things that caused the drama and outrage from all corners of the fandom.
In the end, first and foremost I hope that they had apologized to the women involved and made the most amends that they could in their personal lives. But also I just wish them well in their professional endeavors. After all, we should all just move on from this and decide how we want to support (or not support) these particular men.

Shimono Hiro Bday Event 2017 at NHK Hall (Senshuuraku) Part 1
A report based on my memory and messy notes lol.
The event started with Shimono singing his latest single, Running High. Afterward, he made his greetings. He mentioned that he was shocked to know that he’ll be having his bday live at NHK Hall and thinks that it was awesome. He was truly thankful.
The first corner was “Heaven vs. Hell” batsu game. They showed on screen the things that Shimono want right now. It wasn’t a long list, about five or so, but all I remember was the Nintendo Switch.
The corner goes like this: They will show a question on screen and Shimono, of course, have to guess them right or else he will face a punishment. There’s a reward every time he answers correctly. The questions are a challenge to his memory since they’re all from previous magazine interviews.
First question: ☆ “…something you want back.” (?) ☆ The interview was from Seiyuu Grand Prix March 2007.
Shimono mentioned that it (the cover) was embarrassing. I wasn’t able to catch his answer, but it was wrong. His punishment was to act an Uta no Onii-san skit. He needs to introduce himself to a child (who’s about to enter a daycare) and their mom.
I wrote “flying kiss” on my notes, but I don’t remember exactly what happened. </3
Second question: ☆ “What kind of cat do you want to be?” ☆ The interview was from Neko Danshi Feb 2012.
Shimono can’t remember his answer back then, and even though he tried so hard, he ended up answering “tsundere cat.” His answer was wrong.
He probably didn’t answer the question back then because the screen showed “Nyanteru no?” (or was it “Dounyanteru no?” I can’t remember exactly) as the correct answer.
The punishment was to drink some sort of tea. From his initial reaction, it seemed that the tea is known to have a bad taste. The fans asked “Oishiiii〜?” after he drinked and he replied “Oichi〜” with a sour face lol.
Third question: ☆ (Can’t remember!!) ☆ The question was from the on-going anime, Kabukibu.
The correct answer was kabuki blocks and Shimono got it right. He rejoiced because he finally got one right. His reward was a birthday greeting VTR from his Kabukibu co-cast. There were five of them, but I only remember Ohsaka Ryota, Uehara Yuuichiro, and Shimazaki Nobunaga. OTL
Fourth question: ☆ “What do you dream to be in the future?” ☆ (I wasn’t able to take note where this question is from, but it’s from a magazine interview.)
The choices were: → restaurant owner → レアル・マドリード → IT company CEO
The correct answer is restaurant owner and he got it right. The reward is a Cinnamon Roll mascot, one of his recent collaborations.
Here, they announced the release events of his latest single. The dates are 6/17 and 6/25.
Fifth question: ☆ “…something you wanted to do.” (?) ☆ The interview is from Seiyuu Grand Prix Dec 2008
At first, he wanted to answer “Change my hair color?” but felt like it’s the wrong answer. When he remembered, the MC asked him to do the pose. He did a salute and said that he feels like police is the right answer, and it is.
His reward? A NINTENDO SWITCH. He got what he wanted. He was so shocked, all he ended up saying repeatedly was “Are you serious?!” The fans congratulated him. Even I was so happy for him that I shouted “omedetou” from the first balcony.
His last comment was, “I’m already 30+ and yet I’m receiving a game as a gift. Thank you very much.” He’s so precious! (;ω;)
Part 2 and 3 to follow! Thanks for reading. Feel free to research the interviews I mentioned and send me corrections if ever.

Seiyuu Challenge #11
11. The seiyuu with the best singing voice?
I didn’t have a hard time picking, but I had a hard time not including literally every single one I thought of. Believe me, this is the abridged version. I had to really think hard and narrow it down. But like cutting off limbs, I trimmed it down. Let me put it this way, I didn’t include Nana Mizuki, Kishou Taniyama, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, or Marina Inoue. *grumbles* I swear I’m going to end up making posts for every single one that I missed.
Kana Hanazawa and Satoshi Hino - Futari Shizuka
Hitting two birds with one stone! Both of them deserve a mention. His low voice and her voice is just... well Kana Hanazawa. That’s one of the best compliments you can give, isn’t it? But I can’t mention Kana without including a live performance of Renai Circulation! I still like the song I chose better though. =3=
Nao Toyama - Love Call and 灯火のまにまに
While she didn’t make my top seiyuu list, I like this song by her. Her piano and her vocals are great! Honourable mentions for just Nao Toyama include the Tsuki ga Kirei OP and ED
Sora Amamiya - Feather Ronde and Skyreach
I even made a song recommendation list for her! I had a hard time choosing one song, but I figure you can always check out the list! This song isn’t even from an anime (not that I know of). It’s from her solo album! Now she’s part of the unit TrySail with Momo Asakusa and Shiina Natsukawa!
Yoko Hikasa - Owaranai Uta and Utsukushiki Zankoku no Sekai
I made a song recommendation list for her too! The old hag (a running joke made by Yuuichi Nakamura) sings really well.
Miyuki Sawashiro - Heart in Blue and Blazing Bullet
I can’t just not include her on the list. She’s legendary. She doesn’t even sing prominently as a solo singer since she isn’t one, but no words are even needed here.
The second song features Yoshitsugu Matsuoka! The two of them are not close. Miyuki said on a radio show that “he never talks to me!”
Side Tangent: Okay, in defence of them him, he has had a lot of history with social anxiety (yes, this history has even been noted! It made it from behind the scenes to my knowledge. That’s pretty far). He is only close to his male seiyuu cohorts (ESPECIALLY NOBUNAGA SHIMAZAKI who he says has a really nice smile and goes on, etc.) and Ai Kayano (who he has worked with for over thirty anime).
Toshiyuki Toyonaga - Day You Laugh and Reflection
His song recommendation list is sitting in the draft box because I’m indecisive about which ones to choose.
Haruka Tomatsu - Yume Sekai and 一分一秒君と僕の
Yup. Another song recommendation list for this one too! The second one is a song from the group Sphere! She’s a part of that unit, but they’re currently on hiatus. Check out the songs on the recommendation list too!
Mamoru Miyano - How Close You Are and Refrain (Chihayafuru AMV)
[I feel like I’m lacking male seiyuu...]
Okay, I feel like I was this close to putting the Miyabe song just to screw with people. Seriously though, imagine trying to [bleep] a fricking pineapple. Actually, don’t. I still want people to read the rest of this. Just putting it out there that he still pulls this role out to this day in the same short shorts. Not linking that because I can’t find that, and nothing can prepare you for it.
Seriously though, I’m going to prepare a song recommendation list. It might be a bit like Maaya Sakamoto one though. It hasn’t come out because Tumblr can only fit five videos, and I’m like, “BUT ALL OF THESE ARE NEEDED T^T” I hope to have it out eventually though.
Asami Seto - Soshiteima and Fukashigi no Carte
I only discovered her, her acting, and her singing. Just listen to her songs. The clarity and pure beauty... I have been missing out. I went more subbed/available content on her.
Saori Hayami - Let Me Hear and Secret
This is her Live Performance Recommendation List. This was added after I officially posted it, but I suddenly did a double-take and came back. How could I forget such an amazing singer?? Anyway, I only have that list for now because official song recommendation lists are too difficult to make with so many choices.
Yoshimasa Hosoya - Kaze no Requiem and Just Wanna Know
I feel like I just had the main three seiyuu of Chihayafuru in a row, but this is a mostly random order because I would listen to any of these people. I know I keep saying this, but CHOOSING IS HARD. Here’s another person I don’t make a song compilation for because I can only include five video-form ones, and I just sit there asking which I should include. But I chose two to recommend here... and watched my soul die as I neglected the rest for another day. @akaskira would know my pain! Also, I hear he’s stopped singing because of health purposes, but I pray for his recovery (not that he should come back asap if it’ll cause more trouble) because I want to hear him doing more anime, more singing, and more character songs that are available to me in Canada even if it’s just from someone pirating it and uploading it onto YouTube. Maaya Sakamoto - Gravity and Sonic Boom
Seriously, making a top song recommendation list for her has been put off because I want to include everything, but I don’t even have access to all her music! But what I do get is amazing. She’s one of those artists that I would go to a concert for, and that means more than normal because I have social anxiety and noise sensitivity.
