Did you know D2 (the obscure Sega Dreamcast horror game that's a sequel to an more obscure horror game on 3DO) was originally going to be released on the Panasonic 3DO M2 and have an entirely different plot that would of been like the first game but then the system was cancelled, and it was reworked for Sega Dreamcast
footage, screenshots, interviews and advertisements exist and the build of the M2 Version of the game is lost media

Panasonic 3DO - Policenauts Mouse Set
Title: Policenauts Mouse Set / ポリスノーツ
Developer/Publisher: Konami Computer Entertainment Japan
Release date: 29 September 1995
Catalogue No.: FZ-JJ1PK001 / VZ002
Genre: Point & Click Action Adventure
In the year 2010, mankind made its first great advance into space with the completion of the first human space colony “Beyond Coast”. Three years later, 5 policemen, charged with the responsibility of maintaining the security of these colonists, arrive on the “Beyond Coast”. Getse Backer, Joseph Sadaoki Tokugawa, Salvatore Toscanini, Ed Brown, and Jonathan Ingram. These 5 policemen, the Earth’s elite, formed a new force of Space Police known as “Policenauts”.
This is the first console version of Policenauts ever to be released. The video quality may not be quite as good here, but it plays just the same - which is to say, it plays really, really good with a beautiful soundtrack. This version I have is part of the Policenauts Mouse Set which came bundled with the game itself, as well as a Panasonic 3DO FZ-JM1 mouse, and a Policenauts mouse pad.

METAL'S GAME OF THE DAY!
Alright, today's game is the classic Novastorm. I grew up with the PS1 version and beat it a few times, and I just recently got the 3DO version. Interestingly enough, the PS1 version is completely different from the all other versions, besides some bosses. The whole game layout and powerups are completely different. I found the 3DO version to be more difficult as you have to beat bosses quickly, otherwise you'll have to restart the level over, also the the music is good, but a bit annoying on the 3DO, I prefer the PS1 version's music. And I need to get around to getting a replacement copy of the PS1 version as the 2nd disc no longer works for me. Still, such an awesome game, have you ever played Novastorm?

Back in the day, I had a Panasonic 3DO, and one of my favorite games for it was Road Rash. I had played the first two Road Rash games on my Genesis, but this one blew them out of the water. Besides the actual game, I found out one day if you just let the game sit for a minute or two after booting up, it had music videos that would randomly start playing. I had never experienced anything like this before and was blown away.
Out of the three videos included, this one was my favorite...it's really too bad the band never took off, they were actually pretty good...

Panasonic 3DO - Blue Forest Story
Title: Blue Forest Story / ブルーフォレスト物語 ~風の封印~
Developer/Publisher: Right Stuff Corporation
Release date: 26 April 1996
Catalogue No.: FZ-SJ4101
Genre: RPG
Made by the same people behind games like Alshark, Blue Forest Story is set in a medieval fantasy land, controlled by the powerful Empire. There are, in fact, two stories in the game, featuring two different characters who live in different provinces of the Empire. The boy Wallace enjoys a peaceful life with his family in a quiet village; the girl Rakjit witnesses the persecution and death of her mother and joins a resistance movement that specializes in magic. The paths of the two young people will eventually lead to the same goal - the liberation of the world; but when and how it will be achieved, remains unclear. This game would eventually see a release on the PS1 shortly thereafter.
