Since the numbers post yesterday we've had signups for nearly 60 new auctions, bringing the current total to 779. That beats the number of signups for 2016/7, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, and puts us withing spitting distance of our record last year of 819. Can we do it? Will we do it? Signal boost FTH posts and encourage others to participate. More money raised for good causes, more fanworks in the world — it's a win/win!

If the goods are meant to be showcased in videos or other projects of the kind (permission must be discussed beforehand), please give proper credit and link to my pages (instagram, deviantart or just one of them) in the description.

The goods will be distributed digitally only. Printing is only allowed for personal use and you cannot resell the commission under any circumstances or claim to be the original author of the artpiece.

Unless it has been agreed otherwise, I’m able to choose to display the commissioned art on my galleries and portfolio to promote my work.

I do not allow my art to be used for NFTs, training AIs or crypto transactions.

Things I can draw… Characters from shows/anime, video games and manga/comics I’m familiar with (examples: Sonic The Hedgehog, Homestuck, Pokémon, NiGHTS, Skullgirls, Splatoon, Hades (by Supergiant games), The Legend of Zelda, YuGiOh!, Promare, Undertale/Deltarune, The Owl House, Trigun, Dr. Stone); characters from a series I’m not familiar with if given proper references; crossovers, fantasy, scifi, animals, fanfic illustrations, OCs (if given proper references), and possibly more. Feel free to ask! Things I will not draw… Gore, vore, rape, abuse, offensive themes (racism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.), RPF (real person fanfiction) or shipping real people, I reserve the right to refuse any request.

Upcharges

My limit of characters to draw in one picture/comic is 1, you will be charged for every additional character in the drawing. For an illustration, the price will be multiplied by the number of total characters. The backgrounds will remain one charge. For a comic, every additional complex character is $30 for a pencil page, $40 for an inked page, and $50 for a coloured page.

If your character has a complex design (Examples: detailed armor, complex clothing or jewelry, additional features…) a charge of $15 will apply.

Excessive changes will be charged. On your third and every subsequent major modification request, you will be charged $20.

My limit for short comics is 1 page. If you want more, it will be multiplied by the number of pages and type of commission (ex. a 2 page pencil comic is $100 x 2 = $200).

HOW TO PAY: You will receive an invoice from my Paypal email once the commission has been agreed upon. I will not start working on the commission until the invoice is paid. No refunds. Payment in euros is preferable, if possible. Otherwise USD is always accepted.

I have a panel I'm trying to plan for an upcoming con and I figured there's no better place than tumblr to ask for help with it

The premise is basically just a kahoot game that asks questions about older fandoms, be it insane plot beats in the story (a la ICP becoming the first dual presidents of the United States and Guy Fieri being the antichrist in Homestuck) or insane fandom drama (such as the time a klance shipper tried to blackmail the voltron writers into making it canon, the rainbow dash cum jar, the sharpie bath, etc)

The problem is, I was never super involved in older fandoms (because I was a child who didn't know fandoms existed yet lol) and am therefore somewhat uninformed and my list of potential questions is very much incomplete for a 50 minute kahoot game

If anyone could send me asks or DMs with ideas for questions or even just ramble about topics I could include, I'd be really grateful for the help!

Went to magfest earlier this year and actually made this post afterwards to post about it. Finally did one of my dream cosplays. It's still not finished and unfortunately it was way too warm in the convention center to keep the jean jacket on, but I don't mind since it wasn't finished yet. It's wearable, but I'd say is only still 50% finished. But I can cross this off my list.

I made the hammer with the help of my husband and multiple online guides that are like 10+ years old.

Spare the Spirograph patch which I purchased from CraftyCrowShoppe on Etsy. (I wasn't gonna try and paint that lol.) I drew and painted all the patches myself.

I ordered the shirt through Tapoco.

I did try making the hood myself but I wasn't happy with the finished product and I ordered one through ForestSap on Etsy. It was a perfect fit and was light weight enough not to choke me when the hood was down. However the hood needs to be down far enough to blind you to stay on your head so keep that for when you're taking photos and not walking around. I'm considering ordering one for a trickster version but mayhap another time!

While the only thing I would fix is the wig, Im not good at styling wigs and struggle getting them to work. So maybe when I know someone who can style wigs, I can finally fix that.

Overall I am very happy with the final product! I decided to finish this post for 4/13 cause I'm very happy with it, especially the hammer since I had to make it under crunch time and experimented a lot. It got tense towards the end but I'm still so happy with it! Happy Homestuck day!

What is a murdergirl?

A murdergirl is a character who:

Is female

Either commits murder, commits attempted murder, or directly or indirectly causes a significant amount of otherwise avoidable death, e.g. by starting a war, or knowingly allowing a preventable disaster to happen

The fandom for the piece of media they're from absolutely does not know how to be normal about them. ("[x character] did nothing wrong" vs "[x character] is the literal devil" type arguments, for one example)

(with the murdergirls I also think the girlbossification of their actions is also a common element, such as replying to someone listing the character's crimes with "good for her <3" or "god forbid a woman do anything 😤". that's just a personal observation rather than a requirement though)

So what are we doing here?

Simple, silly! Having found tumblr's official Ultimate Murderboy (congrats again Guillermo), we're now running a tournament to find tumblr's ultimate murdergirl!

(Before you attack me for you your fave not making the list: the list was originally nearly 50 before I narrowed it down to the required 32. Turns out tumblr is absolutely full to bursting with female characters who kill people who no-one in their fandom is normal about. It was very very hard but I did my best to represent as wide a scope of media as possible while still making sure people who absolutely HAD to be there were there. This is a silly nerd question, but I was playing CKC and I was wondering how you go about writing characters so that they all sound different from each other. I couldn't switch a Pizza Boy line and a Cody line for example because their speaking style and gesture are completely different. Is that something that comes naturally to you or is there any trick you use to make sure none of your characters have the same speaking style?

i'm so sorry but this is probably the result of homestuck. ;; when i started writing i was inspired by the different typing/talking styles of each character so i tried writing all my own OCs with a slight "quirk" (though can't say it's as obvious in our other works as it is in ckc). after a ton of practice it comes a bit more naturally, but what helped a ton was having "slang" lists for most of the main characters!

the list just contains words to remind me that cody says stuff like "trippendicular" and "bombdigity", and uses colloquialisms that make him sound faster/more casual, like saying skatin' instead of skating, or gonna instead of going to. pizza boy's the opposite, he has no slang list and refrains from most colloquialisms. other characters have slang lists full of wild-west idioms, medieval expressions, 50's slang, etc, meanwhile some characters' only quirk is their personality/lack thereof.

aside from that, i try to base the characters off of a consistent personality drawn from irl people, aspects of myself, other fictional characters, etc. for example, i always have sonic the hedgehog in mind when i write cody, or ronaldo fryman when i write d&daniel!

Just wondering, because this came up earlier with the whole Vriska vs (Vriska) anon- did you get any submissions for her that had her name in parentheses? Or that denoted something like ��game over” Vriska or “retcon” Vriska or “alpha” Vriska [denoting the two timelines, with GO = (Vriska) who died at age 13 while retcon / alpha = Vriska who lived to 16]

or “homestuck^2 Vriska” or “pesterquest” Vriska [denoting her specifically in the sequel or video game]

or “Vrissy” or “Vriska Maryam-Lalonde” [these last two refer to a totally different girl, not a different timeline version of Vriska Serket, shes a HS^2 character named AFTER Vriska bcz she shares a lot of dna with her]. 

Basically im tryin to figure out if there was variations in those 50+ submissions that to a non-homestuck mean nothing but to a Homestuck Fan / Hater is VERY significant

It's strange to say but I have a keen interest in reality shows. This means Gogglebox, Come Dine with Me, Four in a Bed, Kitchen Nightmares (both versions) and Impractical Jokers. Only the lord knows why. I think it's the autism. It's probably the autism.

I'm a fan of Pretty Cure aswell! Those girls are so beegitful <3 in those dresses... Yes I found out about it through Glitter Force but that doesn't change anything. Another anime I also love is Pop Team Epic that show irreversibly changed my sense in humour.

I also adore!!! Vocaloid it literally makes up 50% of my music taste. I black out and wake up with 20 new pieces of miku merch lmao

Music

I have a lot of different music interests! But my all time favourite band ever is Qbomb! I adoreeeee them to infinity. I literally don't know what my favourite Qbomb song is because they're all so good.

But! Qbomb doesn't have my fav song, that honour goes to Stacked Like Pancakes and their song SFDD. It's a really high energy ska song that I recommend highly. (You won't regret listening to it!)
