There's not really going to be any of the conventional Lazarus Pit fanon in CiM. The only impact Jason's dip in the corpse juice will have is that it makes the boons Danny unwittingly gave him more pronounced on account of him having a more profound connection to the other side, as it were.

And really, the League of Assassins aren't going to feature that strongly in CiM aside from maybe occasional mentions. Including them would just take the story in a direction I don't intend it to, and as such, Lazarus Pits and their impacts aren't going to feature heavily--if at all--in this fic, fanon interpretations or otherwise.

About a trending Discord warning:

TL;DR: Discord is NOT making "Find your friends" enabled by default. You're probably not giving Discord your contact information without your knowledge. Their UI choices just suck.

There's a warning post going around by a person I'm not going to name, as I don't want people to dogpile on them. That is NOT the goal of this post, and if you DO harass anyone because of what I write, then you're a garbage person with garbage habits that needs to throw those habits in the garbage.

Rather, my goal with this post is to educate about a Discord feature that's not being represented properly.

Supposedly in the new mobile update, Discord added this ""NEW"" feature called "Find your friends", and then they enabled it by default. This feature allows users to use their smartphone contacts to search for their friends on Discord. It also enables others to be able to find you in the exact same way.

Obviously, this would be MASSIVELY dangerous from a privacy perspective.

Imagine if someone had relatives that use Discord. In a scenario like that, those relatives would have an easy way of finding the accounts of family members. And in some home situations, online anonymity from relatives could mean the difference between having an outlet and not having an outlet.

I'm also pretty sure I know some folks with alt accounts (you know who you are). And if Discord was somehow able to cross-reference all your contacts with the Discord accounts you're logged into, that would be DISASTROUSLY EMBARRASSING, to say the least.

So I totally understand how concerning this would be if it turned out to be true.

The thing is, it's not.

The person who made that warning misinterpreted THIS page:

This is the new "Add Friends" page for the Discord mobile app. Obviously, a page to help you add friends. There's a big 'ol window at the bottom showcasing Discord's "Find your friends" feature.

Now, this feature is actually NOT new. It's been around for a long time. But there's a very subtle change that happened with the new update. Take a look at how "Find your friends" used to look:

It starts by giving you a banner at the top of your friends list, telling you that this feature is available. Then when you click on it, it takes you to a page with UI elements that look awfully familiar.

It's pretty clear what happened. In an effort to condense down their friend-finding functions into one menu, Discord took the "Find your friends" setup menu and tossed it in with all the other ways to contact friends.

But by doing this, Discord has made this setup window confusing. It's not immediately obvious if the "Find your friends" feature is ON and running, or OFF and waiting to be activated.

Maybe it would have helped to make the blurple button read something like "Sync contacts" instead of "Find friends". At least then, you could tell at a glance that nothing has been sync'd yet. (Or y'know, maybe just stick to "Grant Permission". That was working just fine before.)

So it seems the OP:

Looked at the "Find your friends" setup menu that Discord hastily slapped into the "Add friends" page

Noticed the checkbox that read "Allow contacts to add me"

Saw that it was already marked

Then assumed that it must be some kind of tucked-away setting that was left ON by default.

To make this abundantly clear, "Find your friends" only works if you opt-in.

That checkmark allows you to tell Discord you are okay with people finding you in this manner. Unchecking it makes it possible to use "Find your friends" without others being able to find you the same way.

It doesn't get set up on your device until you press the big blurple "Find friends" button. Even then, you still have to add your phone number to your account and verify it via a 6-digit code sent via SMS.

After that, you have to give Discord permission to access your contacts via whatever phone OS you use.

You have to be pretty deliberate for any of these functions to start.

I won't say it's impossible to set it up on accident. It's a strange world, and stranger things have happened. If you want to, go check your app permissions to make sure you don't have contact permissions enabled for Discord. It's always good to be sure. But rest easy knowing that you probably don't have to worry about it.

In my opinion, I think that anyone who reblogged that warning should consider reversing those reblogs.

Honestly, I also think the OP should just delete their post instead of repeatedly adding amended reblogs to it. At the end of the day, the core of that post was misinformation and misguided assumptions. There's no real reason to keep it up.

Besides, I'd rather pin Discord on things they're ACTUALLY guilty of. Like designing a new UI that's widely mocked. And making things 10x more confusing for the end-user.

Whenever Ewan needs you, you answer the call.

Because, in truth, you need him too. This might not be the most savoury of arrangements; it might not be what you pictured in your head when you thought of getting back together.

But this way, you can have him, and he can have you.

It's a win-win situation. Even if you're not his, and he's not yours, as he so nicely put it.

So you're there when his need arises. Which, as it happens, arises often - intense, wanton, and greedy. He takes you for himself, your body left littered with markings that can only be from his teeth, his fingers, his aching manhood.

Beads of sweat would cloud your vision as the side of your face is pressed to the mattress, your legs bent to give him better access, so that he sinks deeper. He would whisper, - you're mine... you're mine... fuckin' mine, darling - when he leans down to pant roughly in your ear, momentarily forgetting about the one condition of this whole thing.

"It's not his fault," you find yourself shaking your head, then you startle as the buzzer to your apartment gets your attention. The routine is in place - it's the receptionist letting you know that Ewan is in the lobby. Speak of the devil...

Hmm. You walk to the intercom to let him upstairs, thinking of him coming to claim his prize. But he's not the devil - he's my twisted angel, whose heart I broke.

Phia isn't finished. "What do you mean, it's not his fault? If this was his idea, then let me just talk to the lad and screw his bloody head on straight."

You stand by the door, waiting for his arrival, because whenever Ewan needs you, you're there.

"Phi, I... I want this," you reply. "I have to go."

He runs his fingers through your hair, as he kisses your neck and inhales your scent, purring, " - fuckin' missed you, beautiful - " as his skilled fingers find the hem of your old shirt.

"My darling girl," he says, and you so badly want to hate him, because he's not being fair. Why does he get to act like this matters to him, when he made it clear that this is only so both your needs are met? Why does he look at you in a way that makes your heart skip a beat in hope, with those same blue eyes that blazed when he once said he loved you?

How can you make sure that you don't fall back in love with him, when that love was never truly gone?

"Ewan," you moan as he pushes you against a wall, his rough hands kneading your flesh. You help him pull his shirt over his head, and your fingers drag upward along his skin until it finds the silver chain around his neck. You use it to pull him even closer, not a breadth of space between you.

He kisses you, and it's like an anchor finding home.

Yours or his, it matters little.

It nearly bubbles out of the two of you - those forbidden three words - each time his hips slam right into yours. It's almost there, fighting, waiting to be heard. His 'I really do fucking love you', and your 'I'm sorry about everything, about lying, all I ever wanted was you.'

Nearly. If only things were that simple.

He never stays for long afterward. Small talk is shared - about his new film, the ongoing production for yours, the upcoming engagements you both have for season 3 of House of the Dragon. The bloody weather, even.

The holidays have come and gone, and soon the two of you will again have to fly out to work - you, back to Atlanta; him, to LA for the pre-production of his film with Jenna Ortega.

He took on the film after all, and you should be relieved, but it's hard to feel any sense of ease when you know he will have to be with her in a way that he can't be with you. To the rest of the world, soon enough, they will have to play at being together. Your only claim to him rests in between the sheets, in the countless hollow trysts to be shared.

He doesn't reach for you after the deed is done, after his clothes are back in place and his hair is relieved of that post-sex tousle. As if touching you would cast him aflame.

But you feel his eyes linger on you, all the time, especially when you try to avert your gaze.

What is he thinking, you wonder. Who does he see?

On his way out, he has to deal with an obstacle in order to retrieve his hoodie. An adorable one, at that. Your black Bobtail cat, Sansa, nestles comfortably atop it. Her paws grip the cotton material of the hoodie as Ewan tries to pull it away.

"She likes you," you smile at the sight of Ewan gingerly trying to lift Sansa so she doesn't lash out at him. Even though the likelihood to that is low, with Sansa taking so well to Ewan's constant presence, so much so that you sometimes find her meowing at the door waiting for him to come back. The traitor.

"Good girl," he whispers to her, his hoodie almost released from the weight of her fluffy shape. "That's it."

Then he turns to you, smiling as he shrugs his hoodie back on. "I don't think she wants me to leave."

Like mother, like daughter, comes your thought. But when he straightens, and appraises you with a sideways glance, an amused hum escaping his lips, you realise that you said it out loud.

He smirks openly to himself, his ego blossoming. You roll your eyes at him, mumbling, "Oh, give me a break."

He simply shrugs, walking over to the door.

"I'll call you," he calls over his shoulder as a matter of courtesy, but he sounds uncertain, and the question lingers. Please don't say no, his tone practically begs.

How can you ever?

Arms crossed in an attempt to act nonchalant, leaning against the wall, you smile and say, "Try not to miss me too much, Mitchell."

His eyes linger as they always do. "Impossible task," he responds, casually, unaware that he just upended your whole world with his words.

He solidifies the grip he has on you, before he leaves.

And so the fucked up cycle continues.

Los Angeles

A ginger tabby cat slinks around Ewan's ankles as he sits in the director's office, reminding him of your Sansa and the way she would slink in between your bodies the moment she finds an opening, which is usually after the heated roll in the hay.

He smiles to himself on instinct, remembering how you once shared that you wanted to adopt another cat, preferably a Ragdoll, and name him Benjicat.

"Benjicat?" Ewan had asked.

"Yeah," you smiled, as you stroked a purring Sansa between her ears. "Benjicat Blackwood."

Ewan merely blinked, the connection dawning on him, the brilliance of your idea not lost on his supposedly indifferent mind. He could not hold back his warm and appreciative smile as he gazed at you, and for a moment, he pretended that things were back as they were.

He briefly had the idea that, perhaps, you should adopt the future Benjicat together.

Until the bitter thought crossed his mind - he wasn't the one who quashed that possibility first.

In the office in LA, Jenna sits daintily across from him, still aloof and somewhat of a stranger. She had given him a shy smile when she sat down at the table, exchanged pleasantries and surface-level compliments, the works.

Ewan feels nervous, almost ill at ease, and he normally would be able to single out the reasons why. It could be the notion of meeting an acclaimed director and his future costars. Trying not to stumble on his words, messing up their first impression of him. Maybe he had chainsmoked one cigarette too many before the meeting, worsening the anxiety-inducing effect of his staple black coffee with six sugars.

But this is different. He knows the thing he is dreading is when the matter of the PR business will be brought up.

So he doesn't know what emotion comes over him when the director, Autumn de Wilde, lightly remarks in an attempt to break the tension, "So, Ewan, how's your girlfriend?"

"M-my girlfriend?"

"Yeah," she says jovially, "your costar right? It's all over the socials."

"Oh, I love her," Jenna chimes in. "Is she back in England or is she filming somewhere?"

She's not my girlfriend, is what he should say, but he can't push the words out of his mouth. He's not even sure he wants to. After all, that is why he had the idea for the friends with benefits arrangement in the first place - because he can't cope with the fact that you're not his girfriend anymore.

"Mmm, yeah, she's - uhhh - she's filming in Atlanta," Ewan answers, dodging the main question, but not really.

"Well, say hello to her for me," Autumn says. "She's a keeper, huh? What with her being okay with the PR bullshit you will have to do."

Jenna purses her lips apologetically at him, then remarks, "I don't like that Bruce guy. I know some people who worked with him, and they share the sentiment."

Ewan feels lighter, knowing that they're on the same page. He asks tentatively, "That PR thing... is it set in stone or - ?"

Autumn sighs, "Apparently so, kid. But I heard along the grapevine that great ol' Brucey is dealing with some suit and he might have to pull out of the film."

"Some suit?" Ewan asks.

"A lawsuit," Jenna says.

"Oh." What the fuck. "If he pulls out then what that does mean for us?"

"Halle-fuckin-lujah, that's what," Autumn laughs. "More creative control, more logistics control... more happiness for everyone, really."

"Does that mean the PR relationship will be scrapped?" Ewan blurts out, before sheepishly adding to Jenna, "I mean, no offense - "

"None taken," she shakes her head at him. "I never had a liking for that stuff anyway."

"Well, we'd have to consult with the rest of the execs but they're a lot more likely to be conducive to requests," Autumn says.

Ewan feels a rush of relief, one he immediately wishes he can share with you. If you only you stuck it out with him. If only you didn't leave him hanging at the first sign of trouble.

If only you weren't unsure of how you felt about him.

He calls you afterward, because he wants to, the last remaining shred of his resentment towards you be damned.

"Production nearly finished, darling?" He asks, the pretense of holding back from using the term of endearment long since abandoned.

"Mhmm, I've got one more week here in Atlanta, Mitchell."

You've gone back to calling him Mitchell - not baby, love, or anything remotely romantic.

It bothers him, but he's determined not to let it show.

"I've got about a week and a half here still."

"Then we've got season three prep in London, right?"

"Yeah," he mumbles. "I'll see you back there I suppose."

"Okay," you reply, sounding uncertain of what to say next. "Are you... is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," he automatically says. "I just thought... maybe I can come see you."

He listens to your steady breathing at the other end, and it calms him. He waits in silence, until you respond with, "Aren't you busy out there, Ewan?"

He is, and he is aware that it makes him seem desperate. It has only been a few weeks since your last rendezvous back in London, and he is supposed to remain nonchalant. Unaffected. This is not supposed to be some kind of lifeline for him. The thought of you should not be what runs through his mind at every waking moment.

He contradicts all of that, when he admits, "I am, but I want to see you anyway. I can fly out for a day and we could - "

"Ewan - "

"I need you."

You sigh deeply, and he pictures the silhouette of your shoulders rising and falling, the pinch in between your brows, the concerned frown your lips take the shape of.

He misses you. Do you miss him too?

"I know," you say. "But I'll see you soon in London, okay?"

That was not the answer he wanted. There are times when you sound dispassionate and he feels like you couldn't give less of a shit about him, and it kills him.

Even though it shouldn't, and this is what he should have expected, after proposing the arrangement.

But there are also times when you give him a spark of hope to cling to.

"Besides," you muse, "we'll soon have to prepare to give the fans what they want. All the love for Aemond and Alyna surely will not be ignored by the writers. I know I'm rooting for them."

Ewan laughs, "I am too."

Aemond and Alyna. You and him. There are fans, and there are fans, and Ewan is proudly a member of the latter.

"Okay, so, I have to head back inside," you say. "I - uhhh - "

"Yeah, darling, I'll see you soon." I miss you.

"Hmm," you respond, stealing his signature line right from his lips.

He stays on the line, unwilling to let you go.

Production for your film wraps in late February, just in time for the initial preparations for the upcoming season of House of the Dragon.

You arrive back in London a week before the table read, just in time to join the rest of the cast for a mini reunion at Matt's apartment.

A few drinks in, with numerous tales regaled amongst the large group about what everyone has been up to for the past half year, and you realise just how much you missed being with the cast.

They truly are the best bunch of people you could have ever dreamed of working with.

You eventually found yourselves branching off into little groups, with some preparing food in the kitchen, others smoking out in the balcony, and the rest scattered in the expanse of the apartment.

Matt's place is well-decorated for a bachelor pad, with personal knick-knacks at every corner. You note this to him, as you sit on the plush carpet in his living room. Your little half-circle consists of yourself, Matt, Phia, Liv, Bethany, and Tom, all in varying degrees of inebriation, but either of the lads arguably take the cake.

"You see that?" Matt leans close, pointing to the green shelf nestled in the corner. "On the second level right there, is a prop I stole from season one."

"No way," you squint in that direction, unaware that he gives you a good once-over, the admiration in his eyes plain to see.

The others are quick to point it out in typical fashion.

"Now, now, Smithy," Tom quips. "Try not to burn holes in the girl with yer eyes there."

"She's my babe," Phia jokes, winking at you.

"Oh really?" Matt simply leans back on his palms, unaffected. "Not Ewan's?"

"Oop - " Liv's eyes widen like saucers. "Don't even go there, Smithy."

"Why ever not?" Matt shrugs.

"Guys," you shake your head, waving a hand in dismissal. "it's fine. It's... whatever."

"He's not here," Matt says. "We can talk about it."

"Gossip girl over here," Bethany smirks.

Matt was right in pointing out that Ewan is yet to arrive back from the States. Of course, Ewan had given you a call letting you know that he would be spending the night before the table read at your apartment.

But right now, in this moment, you didn't really feel like going through the sordid details of your affair.

"We can talk about it," you say, "but I'd rather not."

Matt laughs, "Okay. But are you or are you not together?"

"Matt," Tom groans, pinching the bridge of his nose in amusement at his mate's boldness.

"Hey, it's a simple question!"

"It is, isn't it?" you shrug, allowing him that, because he is speaking true. It is supposed to be simple. "We're not actually together... but some of you already know - " you shoot Tom and Phia pointed glances " - that we had a thing once, and we may have a thing still, only lesser and more casual." You look around the group, hoping they got the gist, and that no follow-up statements are necessary.

"Hey, I get it," Bethany replies. "It sounds complicated, but it's your business, sweetheart."

You hum gratefully. The others jump on another topic, but Matt slinks closer to you, with the on-brand glint in his eyes. He says, lowly, "That's good, then."

Your mouth parts in pleasant surprise, as you finally take notice of the way he looks at you. "Say that again, Smithy?"

"You heard me," he answers. Smooth. Matt has been known to be the resident casanova of the cast, with his undeniable charm on and off set. He can get along with absolutely anyone, and this includes the array of women who get pulled in by his charisma.

It's lost on you why he would now set his sights on you, but you can't deny that you enjoy the attention.

Fabien suddenly comes into view with that digital camera of his pointed towards your group. He snaps one of Tom whose raised bottle of beer half covers his smirking face. Then he turns to you and Matt, saying, "Give papa a smile, kids!"

Matt quickly slings an arm around you, making you lean against him. He coolly points to the camera, posing like he usually does. You smile widely, your brain in a pleasant daze from the alcohol, the banter, and the alluring scent of Matt's perfume.

"Send me a copy of that, Fabs," Matt comments after. Fabien will probably post the photo on his usual Instagram slideshow, but Matt happily stays off the socials.

"Gonna get it framed?" you joke, nudging him lightly with your shoulder.

"Oh, you bet," he winks at you, making you swallow nervously. Speaking to him now, in this way, you realise just how easily the Matt Smith is able to get with the ladies. Charm practically oozes off of him.

And Daemon was your original favourite, after all.

Fabien and Matt walk you and Phia back to your apartments in the wee hours of the morning. Though your neighbourhood was only 5 minutes away, the lads gallantly insisted that they wouldn't let you go without an escort.

Your group weaves its way through the empty streets of London, chatting and laughing away, the effects of the alcohol yet to wear off. At some point, Matt wraps an arm around you, and you let him keep it that way.

You have grown fond of him, having spent a lot of time with him during filming. And, well, you needed to keep your balance anyway.

Not to mention, he offers a pleasant distraction from having to yearn all the damn time for what you once had with Ewan.

Fabien and Phia walk ahead to her nearby apartment, so you're left with Matt in front of your building.

"We'll be spending a lot more time together this season, fortunately," he says.

"That's kind of a given," you laugh. "Alyna's never going to drop her oath to the Queen."

"And the King."

"Consort," you finish for him.

He laughs freely, shaking his head, before his expression turns a bit serious. He dips his face closer to yours, whispering, "And in real life? Is Alyna sticking with Aemond?"

That stumps you. Matt's blue eyes are indeed arresting, but one mention of Aemond is enough to bring you back into the Ewan Mitchell spiral.

But... you're not his.

You shrug in response, smiling softly, "I guess some things just aren't meant to be."

You become convinced that the universe must be testing you because your phone buzzes in that moment, revealing an incoming call from Ewan One-Eye.

Matt spots it easily, challenging you with, "So what then, beautiful? Are you going to answer the call?"

It buzzes once more, and another time, before you press decline.

Matt doesn't give you the time to regret your decision. He swoops down and plants a soft kiss at the corner of your lips. Nothing too much, but just enough to toe the line of simply being friendly.

"I - I better head inside - " you stammer, your face heating up.

"You better."

"I'll see you soon, Smithy."

He nods, "See you soon, my Alyna."

Ewan can hardly focus on the script in front of him. He struggles to get his lines out efficiently during the table read, and he hopes that no one else notices.

It would be a miracle if you actually take notice of him, with Matt stealing your attention as he sits to your right.

The cast and crew are positioned around the room, and you just happened to be directly across Ewan, right in his line of sight. He would revel in it, but not now, with Matt leaning in once in a while and whispering something in your ear that makes you softly giggle.

How unprofessional. Whatever he is telling you, it sure must be fucking fascinating.

He isn't entirely oblivious of your growing closeness with Matt. He saw the photos of the two of you walking the streets of London, snug against each other, but he chose not to think much of it. After all, how many times has Matt been pictured with an arm wrapped around a costar? That is just how he is. Open and friendly.

Ewan had not been inclined to think it meant something more in your case.

"Ewan," he hears Tom sharply whisper to his left. "It's your line."

The room is silent in anticipation, eager to get on with the script. You lock eyes with him and offer an encouraging smile, and he is just about to reciprocate, but then he notices Matt's arm resting on the back of your seat.

Like he has laid a claim on you.

Ewan ends up grumbling out his lines, lacking the vulnerability that Aemond is meant to be displaying in that scene.

His keeps his expression stoic, trying to do his best to accomplish the task at hand. A tiny consolation is that the script to season three seems to be marginally better than that for the previous season.

There is not a single scene of Aemond and Alyna thus far, but the script is littered with those of Daemon and Alyna. Which makes complete sense, since they're fighting for the same cause, and Daemon has been somewhat of a mentor to the young Alyna.

Ewan liked their dynamic, being a fan of both the characters, and their real-life counterparts. But the scene that is playing out before him may be enough to sway his bias to the contrary.

Daemon and Alyna. You and Matt.

Ewan scoffs to himself, forgetting where he is for a moment. Tom side-eyes his weird behaviour, thinking, the lad must have left his marbles back in America.

Ewan doesn't notice. His thoughts race a mile a minute - Do the writers not see the potential goldmine they've got with the Aemond and Alyna dynamic? Do they not know how crazy it would drive the fanbase?

Is Matt unaware that it was his name - Ewan's, and no one else's - that you were screaming last night?

Your sputtered little pants of his name rise from his memory, your breathing ragged by the time he finished making love to you the third round in the same night.

That... that was his.

You are -

"Mate," Tom clasps him on the shoulder, "drink some water, yeah? You look bloody flushed."

Ewan hums gratefully, nodding once, shaking the image of you from his mind.

After all, he wears his Adidas joggers today, and the thin material would not be able to conceal it if he ended up having a raging hard-on, in front of everyone during the damn table read.

When another scene of Daemon and Alyna comes on, with you and Matt eagerly reciting your lines to each other, the boyish lust that Ewan entertained essentially dies.

He purses his lips, a ghost of a smile, ever the good and supportive costar.

He raises his head to distract himself by looking around the table, eventually locking eyes with Phia, who had already been looking at him strangely.

You okay? she mouths.

His head snaps toward the sound of your laughter before he could respond.

"Shoot, sorry," you smile, apparently having read the wrong line. Everyone at the table waves it off, a cacophony of 'it's alright' and 'you got this' heard around the room.

When you finish the rather long, drawn-out speech Alyna makes, there is an intermission before the next scene.

People begin turning to each other to make comments, some stand to stretch their legs. Then Ewan hears it - "How'd I do, Smithy?" followed by "Not too shabby, my Alyna."

His Alyna?

Ewan flips the bloody table over in his mind.

Ewan calls you the following night, under the pretense of the arrangement.

In truth, he'd take anything. He could sit on your couch and watch paint dry, if it meant being around you.

"Not tonight, Ewan," you say, and his heart sinks.

"Why not?" he asks, uncaring about how downright needy he sounds.

"Uhhhm, I have a friend over," you reveal.

"Phia? I'm sure she'll understand."

"Oh, come on, Ewan. It's not Phia, and even if it was, I wouldn't just send her away."

"Who then?" he insists, but some part of him already knows the answer.

"Fabien," you say, "and Matt. But Fabien already left to go see Bella, so it's just - "

"You and Matt, huh," he spits bitterly. For an actor, he sure is unable to mask his emotions.

"What are you insinuating? We're friends. You're his friend too, Ewan."

"Hmm," his grip on his phone tightens, "you seem a lot closer than friends to me."

"You're being ridiculous," you scoff. "I would ask you to still come over if you want to hang out with us but not if you're being this unpleasant."

"Forget it," he practically snaps, immediately regretting his tone, "let me know when you're less occupied."

"Ewan - "

"It's okay, darling," he cuts you off, wanting to be done with the conversation already. "I'll come see you before the cast shoot." He refers to the Entertainment Weekly photoshoot the entire cast is slated to do in the coming week, the first offering of season three promo.

"Okay," you exhale, then say, "Sansa misses you."

That earns a weak smile out of him. If only her owner could say that she misses him too. "Does she?"

"Mhmm," you respond, and he hears the smile in your voice, "so... so you better come over soon or she might start clawing at the door."

Matt makes his presence known, his voice becoming audible as he walks into the room where you are, asking, "You alright, love?"

"Ewan, I gotta go," you say in a rush.

"Okay," he sighs in defeat. He drops his phone on the couch, then paces around his apartment, needing to get the picture of you and Matt canoodling out of his mind.

He audibly groans. Why must he torture himself so? If you say that you and Matt are just friends, then that must be the case.

My Alyna, Matt had called you.

In a sudden flash of madness or genius, Ewan picks up his phone and redownloads a certain wretched app.

It takes less than a minute, and soon he finds himself back in the mostly uncharted waters of Instagram. Careful not to accidentally like any post as he had before, he makes his way to the section that lets him create a new post.

Scrolling through his photo gallery, it doesn't take long before he finds one to his liking.

No editing is needed. He knows that the image and its subjects need no addition.

In his eyes, you are perfect as you are.

That night marks Ewan's second ever official post on his Instagram, yet again sending the entire fandom in a wild tailspin.

It's a picture of you sitting on top of your bed, hair slightly dishevelled, and with an old pyjama shirt on. Sansa is cradled on your bare thighs, and a smile graces your face as you pet her dotingly. The angle is from the side, where Ewan lay on his designated part of your bed, surreptitiously taking the picture.

The morning light cast a soft glow on your face, and the entire scene had made Ewan wish he never had to leave.

Disclaimer: it seems like the size of the ship changes every time we see it, but the newest eps vs wano seem pretty consistent so I went with that and used Wire's height for scale

Layout based on the 31 member crew that Oda confirmed. I also took in to account that a significant portion of the members are fucking massive, so everything is bigger which matches the scale it's drawn in. Floors are approx 5m high with 2m wide doors in most places, which makes sense when a good portion of the crew are 3m tall.

The specifics:

Kid's Floor

Of course he has his own floor

Quarters include his own private dining space which I imagine would also include a workdesk, bedroom with king sized bed and probably a couch, walk in closet, and bathroom definitely large enough for a massive tub

Workshop also has bathroom entrance for when he's feelin lazy

Ladder space in the middle goes straight through, this is so crew going to the castle deck don't access his floor

Commander's floor

Heat, Wire and Killer have their own rooms and a private lounge just for them and Kid

Heat and Wire share a large bathroom, definitely big enough for normal bath

Heat and Killer have king sized beds, Wire's bed is almost as wide as a king but mostly it's made especially long

Small decking that runs the whole way around, unspoken rule that crew aren't allowed there since windows peer into commander's rooms

Killer could probably fit a drumkit in his room 👀

Cannon Deck

We get peeks of this in the anime and in Oda's notes but they're fuzzy so I just did my best

Made a mistake tho, cannon platform should be whole way around back like a U shape to account for 3 cannons facing backwards, total 9 cannons

Theoretically this is where the helm should be so uh that's where I put it

Main deck

Forecastle includes navigation room with bookcases, central table, and desk for paperwork

Forecastle also has infirmary with two longer than normal beds to account for larger crewmates, and a desk for crew doctor to keep notes

Door between nav and infirmary cos Kid is lazy

Kitchen and pantry. Given the rooms are 5m from floor to ceiling I imagine that pantry would have a small mezzanine accessed by a ladder to take advantage of vertical space (and would be a sick place to nap)

Galley/dining hall contains 3 bench style tables, seating 10 large crewmates each, with one extra fancy chair at the end of one for Kid

Lower deck

Did my best to do some math to figure out how many larger than normal beds were required and decided on 6 bunks for 12 larger crewmates

Additional rooms for average sized crewmates include 4 rooms with 2 bunks each, and one room with 1 bunk, making for a total of 30 beds below deck. That means, counting the commanders for the 31, there are currently 3 empty beds, so a few rooms aren't complete full

Probably looks like fuck all space but its actually significant for a ship living quarters

According to google you only need 1 toilet per 10 people and 1 shower per 40 but that seems like BS. Bathroom has 4 large, accessible sized toilets, 4 showers, long benches down the center and a long counter with plenty of space and mirrors for makeup, given how many crewmates wear it

Also, storage room. Could be converted to extra room for another bunk

Hold

Access via ladder

4 cells. No toilets, you get a bucket ✌️ tbh might not even have beds but there's room for em anyway

Desk in case they need to keep an eye on prisoners

3 storage rooms, but i think one of these would actually be a torture room. Probably the one by the desk.

Crows nest is definitely big enough for a bench, definitely big enough for... activities. Not as big as the Sunny's though I dont think a gym would fit, I think it'd be more likely that gym equipment is kept on the cannon deck

Idk if the mizzenmast is supposed to go all the way through but that physically can't happen with where the helm needs to be based on screenshots so ✌️

Motaz is himself a nurse by trade, while his wife Fedaa is a pediatrician. They have three children together, Mohammed (9), Omar (7), and Nima (4). Motaz and Fedaa both volunteer at a local hospital, however they make no stable income because both their home and place of work were destroyed by bombings. Because they are constantly forced to relocate, they can have no stable source of income or basic necessities such as food and clean water. This family’s gofundme has raised 36,000 krona (~$3,500 USD) of their goal which is 250,000 krona (~$25,000 USD). This will cover basic necessities for the family of five and hopefully evacuation fees as well. This campaign has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@burningnightgiver: Sahar, Mother separated from her children, who are currently trapped in Gaza. Her daughter Walaa suffers from type 1 diabetes and does not have access to insulin due to the genocide. Sahar’s gofundme has raised $11,000 of the $50,000 she requires to evacuate her children and be reunited with them in Egypt. This fundraiser has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@yousefjehad0: Youssef (19) currently sheltering in a tent at a displacement camp in Deir al-Balah. Responsible for his family’s livelihood as well as paying for his father’s medical treatment. His younger brother is suffering from hepatitis due to poor living conditions caused by the genocide and requires medicine. Youssef is malnourished because all the income he makes goes towards his family’s medical expenses, and he has been stripped of his education after having his school bombed by the Israeli army. His gofundme has only raised $5,000 of the $15,000 he needs. This fundraiser has been vetted by @90-ghost, @aces-and-angels, and @el-shab-hussein.

@mohammadyaser1980: Mohammad, father of five children who have lost their home and education due to the genocide in Gaza. His mother has also passed away due to poor living conditions and lack of access to medical care. His gofundme has raised $20,000 of the $35,000 he needs to help support his family. This campaign is being orchestrated by Mohammad’s nephew, Roba Ayyad.

@ahmed4palestine: Ahmed (22), formerly a biomechanics major at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, before it was destroyed by the Israeli army. He was stripped of his education a year before he was supposed to graduate and his father Amjad lost his shop, effectively his family’s source of income. His gofundme has raised $17,000 of the $20,000 he requires to support his family of seven (Lamar, his youngest sister, hopes to one day be a doctor), who are currently sheltering in Deir al Balah after having been displaced. The $20,000 will cover evacuation tickets ($5,000 per adult & $2,500 per child), bus transportation from the border to Cairo, and an Egyptian Visa. This fundraiser has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@alhabil: Mohammad (30), husband and father of three–Ahmed (8), Osama (6), and Mira (4). He supports his parents and pays for their medical expenses; his father Marwan Al-Habil (65) suffers from diabetes and hypertension, and his mother (55) is in extremely poor health (diabetes, high blood pressure, a herniated disc, and osteoporosis) due to lack of treatment. Mohammad’s family was displaced to Rafah and then later Nuseirat, which is still not safe. His gofundme has raised $27,000 of his $50,000 goal, and has been vetted by @90-ghost and @el-shab-hussein.

@hayanahed: Haya and her family of eight, who have been displaced after having their home bombed by the Israeli army. Both Haya and her sister Amal suffer from severe medication allergies and fear that with growing disease in displacement camps they will not have access to adequate medical care. Her father’s business of 28 years was completely destroyed in a bombing last year, reducing their family’s income to nothing. Before their workplaces and home were entirely destroyed, Haya and her siblings consisted of three talented programmers and one graphic designer. Haya’s youngest sister studied at the College of Architecture and is an aspiring architect. Haya’s siblings are also separated from her brother, who is currently living in Belgium. Her gofundme has raised $83,000 of $100,000, which will cover her entire family’s fees to enter Egypt (5k per person, 35k for their seven family members), passport fees ( €135 per person, €945 for seven family members), and minimum living costs (€1,700 per month, €10,200 total). This fundraiser has been vetted by operation olive branch and project watermelon.

@momenalostaz: Momen (24) requires support for his family of ten living in Gaza. His father is battling heart disease and cannot cover medical expenses, while the children in his family are subjected to malnourishment and disease. You can read more about his family on his gofundme page, which has raised $22,000 of the $70,000 that his family requires to cover the evacuation fees as well as basic necessities living in Cairo. This fundraiser has been vetted by @el-shab-hussein and @nabulsi.

@karamrafeek: Karam (23) aspiring software engineer before his university was destroyed. Taking care of his sick mother, Karam’s gofundme has raised $13,000 of the $20,000 he needs, which will cover evacuation fees ($5,000 per person, $10,000 total), the cost of his mother’s treatment ($3,000), the cost of completing his education ($3,000) and cost of living in Egypt ($4,000). This campaign has been vetted by @nabulsi, @rainbowywitch, and @gazagfmboost (as well as by Project Watermelon).

@asmaayyad: Asmaa (25) and her family of eight who have been forced to evacuate their home. Their kitten, Timur, passed away due to the harsh conditions caused by the genocide. Asmaa’s brothers can no longer provide their family with income and her family has been deprived of basic necessities. Asmaa’s gofundme has only raised $15,000 of the $45,000 she needs, which will cover evacuation fees for her family ($5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child). @adham-89: Yousef’s nieces Kareem and Carmen are in need of evacuation from Gaza. Their mother was killed after their house was bombed, and their uncle Yousef is orchestrating the campaign to evacuate the twins from America. The twins, as well as Yousef’s parents and sisters, are sheltering in tents in southern Gaza. Their gofundme has raised $11,000 of the $50,000 they need, which will cover evacuation fees for all six family members. This fundraiser has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@mahmoud1995: Mahmoud, his fiancé Sujood, his brother, his sister in law and his nephew Yasser are sheltering in tents in southern Gaza after having their home bombed in November. @shimaashaban22: Abdel (26) and his wife Shaima (22) as well as their daughter Juri (2) have been displaced from their bombed home in northern Gaza to a refugee camp in Deir Al-Balah, where they live in a small tent. @m0hammed1: Mohammed (23), formerly studying for a Master's in Business Administration, is responsible for his family of five; his mother Raja (51), father Hussein (58) and younger sisters Iman (18) and Noor (13). His father was injured by the bombings that struck their home, and Iman has contracted hepatitis due to unsanitary living conditions caused by the genocide. The family is displaced and sheltering in Deir al-Balah, where they suffer from disease and lack of access to food, water, and basic shelter. @mohammed-atallah: Muhammad (17) was shot by an Israeli soldier with an explosive bullet on 2/25/24 whilst carrying aid from the Nabulsi roundabout in southwest Gaza. He was shot on his left hand and requires a bone graft, which he cannot get in Gaza. His father also requires constant medical supervision which is insufficient in their current situation. Muhammad’s gofundme has raised $14,000 of the $82,000 goal, which will cover the cost of his bone graft as well as rebuilding the house of Muhammad, his parents (Sobhi and Alaa) his siblings (Iman, Amani, Alaa, Suja, Rahaf, Retaj, and Ahmed) as well as his niece and nephew (Malak and Amir). This campaign is being orchestrated by Haruka Aoki on behalf of Muhammad and has been vetted by @90-ghost.

Salem (26): Unfortunately I can’t find his tumblr account, but I still have his gofundme link. Salem is a husband to Hadeel (25) and a father of two children, Laila (5) and Bakr (five months), who you can see pictures of on his gofundme page. After having their home destroyed, Salem and his family have been displaced and forced to move over ten times in search of safety, suffering under inhumane and severely unsanitary conditions that threaten the lives of himself, his wife and young children, one of whom is an infant. His daughter Laila has been stripped of her education and they suffer from extreme hunger, dehydration and stress. His fundraiser has raised $6,000 of their $38,000 goal, which will cover the cost of travel for Salem and his wife (around $14,000 total), as well as for his two children (around $5,000 total) and cost of living after evacuation (around $500 per month).

@mahmoudswierh2: (gofundme of the AlBalawi family) Formerly a talented graphic designer, Mahmoud is supporting his five siblings, as well as five nieces and nephews. Both of his parents are suffering from chronic health issues (detailed in his gfm description) and do not have access to the appropriate medication and care. The family’s home in Nuseirat was destroyed in a bombing and they were displaced. Moving to Egypt for their safety is their only choice, despite how painful it is to abandon their home. Mahmoud has raised $38,000 of his $50,000 goal, which will cover evacuation funds for the family (5k-8k per person).

@ashraf-family2: Ashraf (30) and his wife (Widad Isaa) and son (Bakr), originally from Al-Shuja’iya, where Ashraf owned a chicken farm to support his family. The Israeli army destroyed the family’s home and source of income. Their son Bakr in particular is subjected to harsh and inhumane conditions such as malnutrition and dehydration, in a constant state of stress. Ashraf’s gofundme has raised $20,000 of their $25,000 goal, and has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@musababed: Musab (22), formerly a biotech engineering student at Al-Azhar university. His home and university were destroyed by the Israeli army, who also murdered some of his family members and stripped him of his education. Musab’s gofundme has raised $5,000 of his $8,000 goal, which will go towards basic necessities and shelter for his family as well as his continued engineering studies and rebuilding the lives of his family. @waseem4gaza: Waseem (34), his wife Amal (37) and their son Qais (3) have been forced by the Israeli army (who also martyred many of their family members) to evacuate their home in Gaza, and they are seeking to evacuate to Egypt. This family’s gofundme has raised $3,000 and is aiming for $15,000, which will cover evacuation fees. This campaign has been vetted by @mohammedalanqer.

@asmaamajed2: Asmaa (19) computer engineering student has lost her home, and means of income due to her father’s shop also being destroyed by the bombing. Her university was destroyed by the Israeli army as well, so she can’t continue her education. Asmaa’s gofundme has only raised $9,000 of the $50,000 she needs to evacuate her family and continue her education. This fundraiser has been vetted by @90-ghost.

@farahh2003: Farah (20) and her family have been displaced and are currently sheltering in tents in Al-Zawaida. Her grandfather, uncle, and cousins were killed in the bombing that destroyed her home, and her grandmother was gravely injured. Formerly a computer engineering student, Farah’s education has been halted by her university’s destruction by the Israeli army. She and her family are living in inhumane conditions, without access to clean water or appropriate food. Farah’s gofundme has raised $2,000 of the $50,000 she needs to evacuate her family. @abdullahgaza: Abdullah (21) and five other siblings of the Alhabil family (as well as their parents) have been displaced after having their home destroyed by the Israeli army. Formerly a graphic designer, Abdullah can no longer work as his laptop was destroyed in the bombing. Sheltering in tents with many relatives, the family suffers from poor living conditions, and Abdullah’s father desperately needs to be evacuated as he requires urgent catheterization surgery due to chronic heart disease and hypertension. Abdullah’s gofundme has raised $82,000 of his $120,000 goal, which will go towards evacuating his family into Egypt. @ghaziyounes1967: Ghazi and his family have been evacuated to Egypt, but unfortunately his aunt Alan (70) is still stranded in northern Gaza. Ghazi’s gofundme has only raised $4,000 of his $50,000 goal, which will go towards supporting his aunt’s life while trapped in Gaza and hopefully her eventual evacuation. This campaign ahs been vetted by @90-ghost.

@mazenmanal: This campaign is being organized by Feras Al-Mansi on behalf of his family (aunt and cousins) in Gaza, who are suffering under inhumane living conditions. The children, who are suffering the effects of serious illness, lack access to appropriate treatment, and the family needs to be evacuated. Feras’ gofundme has raised only $3,000, which amounts to just over 3% of his goal. This money will go towards not only evacuating all of his extended family members from Gaza, but also covering the medical expenses for the children, who are in poor health. It will ensure their nutritional needs are met, that they have regular medical visits and that they are psychologically supported. @rehamoyasir: Reham (23) is a Gazan nurse who was aiming for her bachelor’s, however, her university being destroyed by the Israeli army has halted her education. @mo-shamia: Mohammed, senior studying medicine in Gaza prior to his evacuation. His family of nine still remains in Gaza where their home has been destroyed and they are victim to the harsh climate and unsuitable conditions. Thankfully, due to donations Mohammed’s father was able to pay off his debts and provide food for their relatives (see photos on gfm), but Mohammed’s gofundme still needs to raise $8,000. This will go towards the cost of basic necessities (food and medication), for their relatives in Egypt (Mohammed, his cousins, brother in law and their kids), and Mohammed’s education (tuition costs around $3,000 for Palestinian expatriate students). @hazemsuhail: Hazem and his family (all of whom you can read about on his gofundme) of eight had their house destroyed by the Israeli army on the ninth of October, 2023. Hazem’s father passed away as a result of harsh conditions under the genocide. His brother, Samer, suffers from bipolar disorder that is exacerbated by the stressful conditions of genocide and his lack of medication. His feet were also injured in the initial bombing of their home. The children have had their safety, education, and joy stripped away. The market belonging to the family, their primary source of income, was also destroyed. Hazem’s gofundme has raised almost $5,000; his goal of $50,000 will cover the cost of evacuating and reestablishing the family in Egypt, where their life may resume in peace. @majedgaza1: Majed and his family were forced to flee to Egypt, physically and emotionally scarred from what they witnessed happen to their home. The children also need support to continue their education, and their tuition is also very expensive. @amalashuor: Amal (26) formerly a university student studying French language before her school was destroyed by the Israeli occupation, wife and mother of Maryam (15 months). The family was forced to vacate their home in October and move south. Although they took temporary refuge in a friend’s home, they had been sheltering in a tent in Rafah since new years. Thanks to donations, they were able to move to Khan Yunis, however they were bombed there as well and forced to flee once again, sheltering in the east of Deir al-Balah. Prices have increased dramatically for transportation and basic necessities, detracting from the fund that will cover the family’s evacuation. For this reason, they’ve been forced to increase their fundraiser’s goal. Every time they are forced to relocate, it takes a percentage of their evacuation fund. @yaminfamily: Ahmed (35) husband of Dina and father of four (Zeina, Eileen, Yamen, and Ronza), the youngest of whom was born just four months ago amidst a genocide. Their home was destroyed by the bombings and they were forced to flee south, where they found no respite in either Nuseirat nor Deir al-Balah. Dina is pregnant and does not have access to appropriate care or monitoring, and the children have become ill frequently due to unsanitary and harsh conditions without the necessary treatments. The conditions living in tents are inhumane, and the family no longer has a source of income due to Ahmed’s place of work as an accountant being destroyed by the bombings. The family’s gofundme still needs to raise $4,000 more, which will go towards evacuation fees ($5000 per adult and $2500 per child), so Ahmed and Dina’s children can receive the education, treatment, and safety that they deserve. @malak-3: Muhammad is Malak’s little brother, whom Malak is organizing this campaign for. He is still in Gaza, though his family was killed by the Israeli occupation. @bshaeromars-blog: Intisar and her seven children were forced to flee their home in October, which was destroyed by bombings. They first fled to central Gaza, but were then forced into Rafah as the assaults pressed southward. They are currently sheltering in a tent in extreme conditions without enough food. Intisar’s eldest daughter, Bshaer, had her husband martyred in December. Bshaer’s daughter Ayla was born just months ago, robbed of the opportunity to ever know her father, who was killed while trying to provide for his family. Ayla’s situation is particularly precarious, as newborns have delicate immune systems and Ayla doesn’t have access to the proper vaccinations, while conditions where the family shelters are unsanitary. Her dreams of starting a business in renewable energy have been put off by all the carnage that Israel has brought to her home. Ghada is the sole provider for a family of twelve, but the genocide has destroyed her job, meaning her family has no income. Her father (62) is still suffering from the effects of a car accident that occurred over a year ago and needs medical treatment that he can’t get in Gaza. Moreover, Ghada herself has hearing damage from her proximity to the bombings and requires invasive treatment that she simply can’t get in her circumstance. Her gofundme still needs to raise $17,000 to meet their goal, which will go towards basic necessities and hopefully cover evacuation fees for Ghada and her family. @anasfamilys: Anas (17) suffering from type one diabetes and hypertension for many years, her health issues exacerbated by conditions in Gaza under Israeli bombardment. Her newborn niece is jaundiced and is suffering from malnutrition and unsanitary conditions for an infant. They have been sheltering in an UNRWA school since their farm was destroyed, however, it’s not a safe place to take refuge in the long term. Anas’ brother, grandparents, and all their children have been martyred by the IDF. Her brother (14), an aspiring photographer, was murdered by Israeli snipers just months ago while looking for food. Anas currently lives with her father, mother, five-year-old brother, eight-year-old sister, and two married sisters. This family’s gofundme has raised around 4% of their goal (€50.000), which will cover life saving necessities and hopefully help to rebuild their lives. @supportmyfamily: Ahmed, dental technician, husband and father of three. The family has been displaced many times from their home in Tel-Alhawa; first to a school in al-Magazi, then to Rafah and then to Deir al-Balah. The family is sheltering in tents without access to basic necessities, electricity, and sanitation. The intense heat has caused them to develop health issues and they struggle with hepatitis B as well, given the unsanitary conditions. Ahmed’s campaign is to support four separate families including his own, those of Moatasem’s family, Mohamed, and Ahmed’s elderly parents and their eight children. Ahmed’s parents both suffer from cardiac issues and require treatment, as well as his newphew Qusay who suffers from severe and prolonged health issues that affect his ability to speak. @hind3en: Hind, mother to Zeina (4) and Ahmed (2) has fled to Egypt with her children but tragically still needs to evacuate her husband, who is still trapped in Gaza. Both Hind and her husband worked at Al-Shifa hospital, where she was a physical therapist and worked in the ICU during the fall of last year to help victims of the bombings. Her husband, Dr. Islam, is a trained plastic surgeon and also operated on many victims. They were forced to flee the hospital on November 10th to the south of Wadi Gaza. It took hours to arrive at an UNRWA school in Khan Yunis, however, they were forced by the Israeli army to relocate again after just one month. They sheltered in tents in Rafah for four months. They dealt with hepatitis A due to unsanitary conditions and lacked access to basic necessities such as clean water, food, and electricity. Hind and the kids were eventually forced to spend all their savings to cross the border from Rafah into Egypt after hearing of the Israeli’s plans to move southward. The emigration cost them $10,000 collectively, however, Hind’s husband Islam refused to leave out of obligation to serve the injured still in Gaza. The children are left to reconcile with the loss of their newly built home and cruel separation from their father. The family’s gofundme has raised less than $500 and has been verified by @rhq2744, who also knows Dr. Islam personally.

It represents the loss of a peaceful life, before tragedy overtook the lives of millions of Palestinians, more than just a physical place. Fantasy Guide to Royal and Noble Jewellery

Royal and Noble jewellery is a staple of their life, a statement of the who is person is, their rank and their wealth. Jewellery simply isn't a accessory, it's an exercise in showmanship and a way to link to a past.

(Disclaimer: Many stones in pieces often have a bloody past, usually stolen or worked from the earth under the reign of Colonialism. It is best to always take this into account when admiring real world pieces)

Providence

Jewellery like this is usually inherited buy can also be bought or even given as a gift. There is three kinds of jewellery in this instance: private, owned by the crown or owned by the state.

Private jewellery is owned by a single person and worn or lent at their own descretion. Private jewellery can be no less grand than state owned jewellery. This jewellery can be inherited by anybody the owner chooses.

State jewellery is not privately owned, it belongs to the country itself. It is not inherited but used by royal family. If a royal family is deposed, the jewellery remains with the state. Such as the French Crown Jewels.

Owned by the Crown means that it can only pass monarch to monarch, worn only by consorts or the monarch and lent to anybody they choose.

Noble jewellery is not quite the same. Much of it is owned privately but there may be one or two pieces designated as official jewellery for the title such as a specific tiara.

The Rules

Jewellery like this are not just trinkets to be borrowed by anybody. Usually the monarch (or titled noble) or sometimes the spouse, is in charge of designating who can be lent which pieces and for what occasion. Even if you are a super close member of the family, you still have to take what's on offer. Sometimes certain jewellery is worn exclusively by a certain rank say the Queen or the noble themselves and would not be offered to anybody else. For example, you will note that into today's royalty you will see certain royals repeating the same tiaras such as Kate Middleton who has only worn the Cambridge Lover's Knot, the Strathmore Rose Tiara, the Lotus Tiara and once, the Cartier Halo Tiara. These would be the tiaras available to them, which usually number only a handful. Certain pieces are designated by for the monarch/Consort as well, the Vladimir Tiara & the Girls of Britain and Ireland Tiara only graced the head of the Queen in her reign. Other pieces such as earrings or bracelets would also be distributed accordingly, more elaborate and expensive pieces would be worn by the higher ranking members. Certain collections are meant to be passed on, such as the Consort's jewels but many Dowager refused to pass on their jewels such as Empress Dowager Maria Feodorovna after the death of Tsar Alexander III.

Treasure Trove

Now, just because a family has a throne or a grand title doesn't mean they have caches of jewels. Many noble families sold off their pieces to pay death duties, most only have a few pieces left today. As for tiaras most noble families would not have access to large quantities, usually only affording one or two. The Spencers for example own two, the Spencer Tiara and the Spencer Honeysuckle Tiara. This is an inaccurate protrayal in Downton Abbey, as the family have at least 6 but then again Cora is a Dollar Princess so it could be possible to own as many but it never made sense considering just how many times they almost loose the estate and never sell any off. Royal families are not exempt from this either, some families have vast stores of jewels such as the British Royal Family (I wonder where those all came from...) while the Greek Monarchy (discontinued) has only a few pieces. The Romanov collection is of course legendary and we may never know it's full extent.

Wafa has started this campaign to raise funds her her family's evacuation. The funds will cover evacuation costs for her, her parents, her siblings (6 brothers and 5 sisters), and her siblings' children. The money will also help afford necessities and medical treatment for her family.

Wafa had graduated from university and dreamed of traveling, but her ambitions have all been destroyed. She and her family have also lost their stores and home, both destroyed by the Israeli occupation, leaving them without income and proper shelter for these past 9 months.

Her family has been displaced more than 10 times since the genocide began. They are without access to food or drinking water, and many members of her family are suffering from hepatitis and malnutrition.

Her mother suffers from chronic hypertension, needs daily blood pressure medication, and needs surgery for varicose veins in her leg. Wafa and her family cannot afford her medication or surgery at this time.

Wafa's gfm and her account are new, and I wasn't able to find any verification for her so I talked with her to try and verify her campaign. She gave me the information I have restated here, and I'd like to include the photos she sent me as well.

This is Wafa's little sister, Sara (the girl pictured in the cover of the gfm) with their brother, Mohamud, and his son, Abood. The photo was taken in their house. You can see more of Wafa's house in this post. The background of the photo matches the home shown in the video.

The next photos are of Wafa's younger brother, Mohiy. He had an operation on May 20th, 2024 for a a gallbladder operation to treat his hepatitis and severe pancreatitis. She has told me he has recovered from the pain he was suffering from and that he is in a better condition. Here are the photos she gave me of him. An Introduction to the Lifesteal SMP - Season 6 Starts on July 6th

The Premise 

Lifesteal is a competitive, PVP based soft-anarchy server, with one core gimmick: In the server, if you kill somebody, you can steal one of their permanent hotbar hearts, with a maximum of twenty hearts. If you drop down to zero hearts, you are banned off of the server, unless another player revives you with an expensive item called a revive beacon.  

One of the biggest draws in the fandom is the incredibly organic improv storytelling that arises from the server, with the competition extending past simple combat. Players clash as they all attempt to enact their own plans, creating moral and emotional conflicts that draw in stream viewers and make the server incredible to follow as events unfold. 

Watching Lifesteal Streams and attempting to have a complete picture of what is going on is very time intensive. Luckily, starting in season five, they do weekly sessions where the most important events usually happen.

How seasons work

Each season runs independently of each other, and the entire world resets when they move to a new season. 

There is no in-universe lore explanation for what happens during a season reset. Some streamers may choose to treat it like they’re playing a different character, but most choose to leave things that happened in previous seasons in the past while still acknowledging it. Knowing what happens in previous seasons may help you understand things more, but is not necessary in the slightest.

Is Lifesteal a roleplay server? Kinda, kinda not. 

Please respect that creators have different levels of interest in rp and are primarily on the server to make youtube videos of a particular niche.

Lifesteal is unscripted, though different players will create and enact elaborate plans with insane amounts of effort, but all of this is with the goal of a genuine, entertaining reaction. 

Most members enter every situation with the primary goal of creating a good video, and their actions often reflect this. Videos are designed to be standalone content. Each video tells a complete story, and doesn't often tie into other videos or arcs. Lifestealers will also twist the narrative in order to create a linear storyline, including changing the order of events, or even just straight up lying. (We’re looking at you, Mapicc.) Due to this, with few exceptions, it is near impossible to gain full context of an arc or event via video alone, as so much context and information will be glanced over or covered up. Streams are a much more reliable way of understanding the full story.

The archive runs as far back as 2020, though only becomes mostly reliable around July 2022, when the project started. The archive also has links to every members’ youtube and twitch account, as well as any vod channel they may run themselves!

POV Recommendations Frequent Streamers: If you want a consistent pov to watch, and be able to follow a consistent storyline here are your best choices. PrinceZam: Zam was lifesteal’s most consistent streamer in previous seasons and puts a very large amount of effort into his rp and storytelling. Goes live at random times for long hours. Kaboodle: Kab is a new addition this season, but she consistently puts an incredible amount of effort into rp and storytelling. She streams most days at 7pm EST! ChiefXD: New Member who streams daily at 11am EST. HannahxxRose: New member, frequent streamer, but we don't know how her streaming style will adapt to lifesteal yet. Derapchu: He’s a little bit of a freak. Australian but has a bad sleep schedule so he streams at US friendly times or earlier. Does pretty long streams. Pangi: Has been on hiatus, but usually streams regularly around 2-4 PM EST at an EU friendly time for shorter hours. He typically does sillier, shorter projects. 4CVIT: Frequent streamer when he does stream, but may go inactive for long periods of time. Kinda roleplays, one of the better builders on the server and likes to keep projects secret from chat.

ADHD money/budgeting system I'm currently using for my benefit is going well (I've been using it for like half a year now?), and I wanna recommend it.

You Need a Budget is EXCELLENT. 10/10 do recommend. Uhhh rambling about it and my generic disclaimers + gushing extensively under the cut but TL;DR I think it's great for ADHD ppl, I've used it for 6+ months now and I find it super SUPER helpful. also weirdly fun.

Budgeting helps you understand/know your money, it can't make money appear where there is none.

Everyone should learn to budget even if you don't have much money (especially then)

This is NOT a magic trick solution. Just like everything else, it is an assistive tool. This is one of those adult things we can't simply opt out of without negative consequences, though.

My advice is based on something I am currently able to do. That is, I can spend an amount of money on this specific thing that works well for me. If you have no extra money to spend then previously I was tracking things in a notebook. So you can still do this.

They only have 4 rules of the budget, they're simple and practical, and it doesn't get judgey or like...mean about your spending.

1. Give every dollar a job 2. Embrace your true expenses 3. Roll with the punches 4. Age your money.

THEN THEY BREAK THESE DOWN INTO SMALL STEPS FOR YOU! They even have a printable! Also these rules are great because there's built in expectations that things WILL HAPPEN and it's NOT all or nothing with a fear of total collapse into failure. Reality and The Plan don't always align, especially if you have ADHD. So it's directing our energy towards the true expenses and not clinging to The Plan!! over reality.

You can automate a lot of shit (you can sync with your bank accounts just like mint, but also automate tagging the categories of regular expenses/transactions). And if for whatever reason you accidentally do something that makes the budget look weird or wrong:

A) you can usually fix it somehow OR b) they have like, a button you can press that gives you a clean slate and archives the previous version of the budget for you.

So if you forget for a few weeks or months, or accidentally input something wildly wrong, or just don't want to look at a really terrible month anymore and feel like you need a fresh start you can usually either fix it or start fresh which is really nice.

The app also (for whatever reason) scratches my itch to have things like...have incentives or little game-like goals in a way mint never did? I don't know why. Filling up the bars or putting money into the categories to cover my expenses is satisfying lmao. You can also make a big wish expense category for all the fun shit you want, and fund it whenever you can and then you can see the little bar go up and that's fun.
