If you're in search of a place to talk about any and all 9-1-1 ships without being torn down for who you wanna bonk together like Barbies, Dispatchcord is the space for you! We've got loads of channels and a role-based, opt-in style category layout that makes it easy to only see the ships and other content you want to see. We've got channels for things like fanfic discussion and promotion, channels for IRL stuff, channels for arts and crafts, and channels for pretty much any ship pairing you could think of. If you can think of it, there's probably a channel for it in here.

We might be small for now, but I hope you'll give us a chance to become your new favorite 9-1-1 server!

not to bring up blood kink on a random monday evening but i think why it works so so well for buck and eddie is. well yeah, the shooting obviously. eddie's blood in buck's mouth, the inherent romanticism of it. he's always always going to know the taste of eddie's blood and like. how many people can you say that about (not many, usually.) but it also works because just, well. they're inside of each other. like, this is not a kink they have in general, with anyone else. it's a kink that is very fucking specific to each other and their insane dynamic. it's about living and existing inside of each other in every possible way. about claiming each other in a way no one else has or ever could. like. i am both consumed by and consuming you, an act of worship if you will. holy communion.

anyway one of them should get injured on a call and for like you know wacky procedural drama reasons the other has to give them a blood transfusion and for some reason it feels weirdly erotically charged and they're both like individually questioning whether they're freaks (yes <3) for getting turned on by this. the you're in my fucking veins of it all.

what's so fascinating about eddie to me is that like almost every problem in his life is a direct result of his own decisions but they're all decisions that don't even seem like decisions to him. like he has this mindset where there are certain things he Must Do or Should Do and then he never really stops to be like but do i Actually have to do this. Why am i actually doing this. who does this benefit and How. and that's a mindset which is like a perfect storm for compulsory heterosexuality. like eddie is a lesbian magnet and he's not a remotely bigoted guy but he struggles So Much with challenging his own entrenched beliefs about like love and masculinity When Applied To Him.

and i think what's hardest for eddie is like. if he accepts that he's gay then he has to reevaluate all of these past choices he made and accept that he basically never once did what He wanted to do and he made most of the big decisions in his life out of a sense of obligation. like the Only thing he ever did for himself was moving out to LA to be a firefighter and even then he sorta went to LA specifically because of shannon. and how the hell do you accept that yknow how do you look yourself in the mirror and say yeah i spent the first thirty years of my life and an entire marriage and my son's entire life just going through the motions of what i thought i was supposed to do and it didn't even WORK it just made literally everybody miserable. i am mourning an idealized marriage that not only never existed but never even Could have existed. did i waste and ruin the painfully short life of a woman i loved? have i been hurting my son by pretending to be something i'm not for his entire life?

like eddie's already king of hating and blaming himself for everything but in a way that's far easier to stomach i think than the can of worms he'll open when he realizes he's gay. and that's why he's continued to repress it for so long.

Someone in a private Discord server just said Ryan is 'probably the most successful actor on 9-1-1' because he was in 'a major movie franchise' and I think I'm actually losing my mind.

This show stars Angela Bassett (!!!), Peter Krause and Jennifer Love Hewitt. All of whom are basically household names.

Even if you want to take the 'movie franchise' way, Angela had a major MCU role. Jennifer starred in one of the most iconic Horror movies of the 90s (and it's less than stellar sequel, but that hardly matters) and had a hit TV show all on her own in the 2000s.

Like bruh, there's a reason he's billed second to last, with only the literal child actor being lower 😭😭

Like, no disrespect to Ryan's success, Step Up was big, but come on!

I believe one or both of the Step Up movies he was in was one of the worst rated in the franchise 😬

There is no arguing with someone who wants to guzzle Mr. Guzman though. We can only pray for their eyes to be opened and their hearts to be purified.

so like, this is not the full story right? sorry but i don't buy one person (in the span of a few hours) went from gleefully baiting people in the ao3 comments to deleting everything, posting a bs apology only to deactivate an hour later.

i wouldn't be surprised if this post and account claiming to know who the masterminds are is just ravisapartment in a different wig (and come on guys, lets not blindly believe the accusations of some random burner account)

obviously this is pure speculation, but my current best guess (assuming @/ravisapartment is even the actual op and not just some different shit stirrer) is that this is one very unwell individual who got emboldened by all the toxicity and decided to catapult way past too far, then got pissed when instead of getting praise/support, bddie blogs started playing the cognitive dissonance game. so now they're lashing out and hoping to bring larger blogs they see as "traitors" down with them.
