Here’s an easy one: Relax and participate in our interests with us! It’s stressful being told the world would be better off without you everywhere you go for a month. Let your autistic friends relax—don’t judge them for acting “weird,” because the pressure to act normal can cause burnout, and it’s boring anyway. Try not to ask us too much why we do what we do, unless it’s through something like this, because sometimes, it’s just how we are, and trying to figure out why can use up a lot of energy. Just binge watch shows with us and ask us about our main interests instead (if you’ve got nowhere to be for a while)!

Tell Sevenly that Autism Speaks Doesn't Speak for Autistics!

This week, Autism Speaks- who last week opened  their policy summit with a pretty outrageous and demonizing letter- are partnering with Sevenly to put out some t-shirts. For every t-shirt they sell this week, that's $7 USD going towards Autism Speak's agenda.

We think we should let Sevenly know that Autism Speaks doesn't speak for Autistics- and the sort of attitudes that Autism Speaks is actually promoting. Their shirts might say "different, not less," but their recent statements clearly define us as not only less, but as something destructive.

The majority of the money in Autism Speaks' budget doesn't go towards helping autistics and our families (4%)- their administrative costs take up more of their budget (5%) than that! Instead most of their budget goes towards promoting stigma via their "awareness" campaigns, or towards research that includes preventative prenatal testing- a eugenicist agenda of preventing Autistics from even being born.

I love GameStop as much as the next person, but...

This is happening right now. Please don’t do this. A$ is a hate group, do not give them your money. If you want to donate to an autism-related cause, look for ones run by autistic people.

You can also contact GameStop on their website by clicking the grey Feedback button on the right side of the screen by the scrollbar and clicking Contact Us. This takes you to a page with an email option and a calling option. My email to them says basically what this post says, but for people who have trouble writing to corporations/authority/whatever, here’s what I said directly:

Hi GameStop,

It has come to my attention that you’re supporting the group Autism Speaks. They are a hate group who advocate the abuse, eugenics, and torture of autistic people. There are zero autistic people running it. For more information, please look at this master post detailing their actions:
