Jack has definitely been traumatized by The Accident his best friend got horrifically injured (because of a mistake Jack made) and dragged to the hospital right in front of him, and then Jack hasn't seen him for years I hc Jack actually tried to visit and when that didn't work he wrote letters, but they all returned unopened (the staff was tampering with Vlad's mail), so Jack spent years not knowing if his best friend was about to die (or maybe was already dead) Vlad literally vanished from Jack's life in the blink of an eye one moment Jack is having the time of his life in college with his closest buddy, and the next his friend is gone... and probably dying in agony

I know Vlad was obviously way more affected by this set of events, but I can't pretend like the accident couldn't have traumatized Jack as well

It's been years and I'm still thinking about how Ace Attorney accidentally made Sebastian and Klavier the same class at Themis. And Seb was VALEDICTORIAN. Capcom accidentally made it so the international rockstar who actually seems to give quite a shit about being a good lawyer and projects himself like a flawlessly cut diamond, was NOT the top of his grade. That honor went to this pathetic kitten of an orchestra kid who can't spell "affidavit" and bursts into tears every five minutes.

sure both wright and edgeworth idealized each other at some points in their lives and sure their relationship is complicated and flawed but at the end of the day they were the only people who saw each other for who they really were at their core. imagine looking into a person's eyes and seeing all of them because you knew each other as children and no matter how many walls you put up they won't stand against that bond, that knowledge, that memory of everything being easy and transparent and pure. imagine looking at a person like that and knowing they are looking at you the same way. sure this is happening during a murder trial but who even cares about that

Tag 2782 / Ich bin froh, dass ich mich denen im Meeting nicht nur verbunden fühle, sondern mich ihnen gegenüber auch verpflichtet fühle

Denn, wenn ich mich nur verbunden fühlen würde, könnte ich ableiten, dass es nicht so schlimm ist, wenn ich mal nicht komme. Für mich ist die Verlässlichkeit denen gegenüber und auch meine Trockenheit wichtiger als dieser Job. Und mir war es heute wichtiger, diese Bluttests machen als pünktlich zu beginnen. Ich bin mir meiner Stelle sehr sicher, weil der andere auch schon wieder gehen will. Vielleicht liegt es auch daran, was der damals in der Reha-Einrichtung gesagt hat und was Liz meinte, dass man lieber mit Leuten zusammenarbeitet, die Fehler machen. Ich bin ein unangenehmer Arbeitskollege, weil ich mich erinnere und weil ich vielleicht wenig Fehler mache. Aber ich mache auch Fehler. Es war gut, das ich das gestern noch mal gelesen habe, dass sie neun Anläufe gebraucht hat, bis ihr Baby da war. Sie ist neun mal an einen entlegenen Winkel gefahren und hat daran geglaubt, dass es beim ersten, zweiten, dritten, vierten, fünften, nächsten Mal funktioniert. Man fährt ja nicht hin, wenn man nicht daran glaubt. Ich hab mir heute auch noch mal klargemacht, dass ich nicht im ersten Anlauf trocken wurde. Ich hab nicht im ersten Anlauf aufgehört zu rauchen. Niemand hat mehr daran geglaubt, dass ich noch aufhöre zu rauchen. Es ist mir nicht im ersten Anlauf gelungen, einen Job zu bekommen. Was für ein langer Weg war das! Also können wir uns mal abschminken, das es 2022 klappt. Wir können es aber als Beginn der Versuchsreihe sehen. Ich bin erst mal für Insemination, für den natürlichen Weg. Vielleicht entscheide ich mich irgendwann um und nehme ein befruchtetes Ei von jemand ganz Fremdes und trage es nur aus. Vielleicht adoptiere ich später Kinder. Jetzt ist mein Plan die Insemination und ich muss mich nicht unter Druck setzen lassen. Ich finde das sehr gut, dass das eine Frau einführen wird. Trotzdem lasse ich mich jetzt durchtesten, damit ich auch nur die richtigen Medikamente nehme, wenn sie überhaupt notwendig sind. Heute sehe ich es nicht mehr als mein Hauptziel, mein Endziel, meine einzige Lösung für ein zufriedenes Leben, sondern etwas, das nebenher laufen kann und was jedoch nicht bei mehreren Anläufen beruflich so einschränken darf.

I think if I were really going to insert Harrow into the Ace Attorney setting tho, she'd be a defense attorney. One with an even more extreme philosophy than any in the game so far. She specialises in sentencing trials and plea bargains, representing guilty clients.

She knows that the falsely accused aren't the only ones who need someone in their corner when it feels like the world has turned its back. She learned that a long time ago, from a childhood.... friend. Someone she owes more than she could ever possibly repay, who believed in her and forgave her even when they both knew she didn't deserve it.

The first panel on the second page is a close up of Philip’s face, a concerned and fearful expression on his face. He blurts out the word “No”. The second panel is spliced into three pieces, and each shows more dead grimwalkers rising from the water. The first shows another hand, the second a fully formed grimwalker with a broken mask crawling towards and reaching out to Philip, and the third yet another hand. The third panel is of Philip trying to back away by crawling while more grimwalker hands shoot up around him. He shouts at them, “G-Get Away!” The fourth panel is a view of Philip crawling back from behind, and a head of a grimwalker can be seen behind him. He yells again, saying, “I said-” but is cut off by the fifth panel where the grimwalker behind him suddenly grabs his arm. The sixth panel is of him looking over his shoulder, surprised. The seventh panel is an above shot of Philip sitting on the water, grinwalkers surrounding him and grabbing each of his limbs. The water swirls below him in a whirlpool motion. He shouts, “Get off me!! Go!!” The eighth panel is a closeup shot of an arm grabbing his shoe and pulling him down, the ninth panel showing the fear in his eyes.

The first panel on the third page is a wide shot of Philip being dragged down under the water, his arm straight up desperately trying to grab something. The water cascades around him, pushing him down even more. The second panel is a closeup of Caleb’s eyes, which are glaring with anger. The third panel is a below view of Philip being dragged down, with Caleb’s hand still tightly grasped around his foot. The fourth panel is a closeup of Philip’s eyes, which are staring in fear. The fifth panel is from Philip’s POV, where Caleb is seen still pulling him down by his ankle, glaring at him. Other grimwalkers are beside him, hands reaching up towards Philip to also help drag him down.

The first panel on the fourth and last page is of Philip being dragged down, a fearful and almost angry expression on his face. He screams, “Caleb! Let-” but does not finish his sentence. The second panel is of Caleb still glaring at him, not saying a word. The third panel is Philip looking at his brother with an unreadable expression on his face, as though he just realized something. The fourth panel is an above shot of Philip finally being dragged down into the depths Dr. Falcilier style, arm out stretched and he sinks. Broken masks of grimwalkers can be seen below him, pulling him down too. The last panel shows the surface of the water in the inbetweens realm, the surface still and finally tranquil.
