I wonder about how Joel will be during the scene where he saves abby.

He’ll be like 60 in the show at the time? Would he even still be out on patrol at that point? I know he can take care of himself, but after that convo with Tommy where he admitted he couldn’t fight the way he used to, it makes me wonder if it’ll be emphasized how old and weak he is

I feel like this ask kinda adds to the last one :) but I agree! I wonder how they're gonna cover that. again, I feel they need to include that cause if they take it out, it'll change the story a bit. not a detrimental amount, but it'll still change it

he will! I find it so interesting that they made him older in the show. why did they do it? ooo I wonder, too! I want to say he would be, but honestly? would he? or would he just be in Jackson whittling away on his wood projects? helping around with construction? there wouldn't fully be a point to him being on patrol, other than to help more and get out of the walls (and to make sure Ellie's doing okay on her patrols, but that'd raise a flag for her). but because of that conversation with Tommy about how he doesn't fight the way he used to and how he keeps failing her, I don't think he would go on patrol. at least not major ones? don't know how the patrolling system works, so I am using fic knowledge. but if there's a patrol that's only a few hours, I can see him doing that, but the over nights? or the long ones going to other towns? I don't think he'd do them. they kinda made it a point for Joel to complain about his old body, too, so I can see them continuing that

with less than 24 HOURS until protocol, here are my final hopes/predictions/general ramblings

First off, jmart. Jmart my beloveds. My babygirls. I need them ALIVE AND WELL AND HAPPY, but you know I’ll take what I can get. Ideally it’s our jmart not an alternate universe jmart, but again. ILL TAKE WHAT I CAN GET. And if there’s no jmart, I’ll be sad but I’m sure I’ll get over it as I get unreasonably attached to new characters (that’s a lie. I listened to the finale like 9 months ago and I’m still not over it. I understand that having them in protocol would kinda undermine the whole ambiguous ending they had going on, but you know. I need them to be ok. Also, if they’re not in protocol I’m very curious who’s voice was in the announcement audio thing if it wasn’t martins)

Secondly, Agnes montague. Agnes my love. My darling. If you have seen my previous post with my “how Agnes montague can still win” theory you know where this is going, but anyways the theory is that protocol will be desolation focused and will have Agnes in it. I go more into detail in the post. (Also, this wasn’t in the original post, but I noticed that there’s embers in the promotional material, so more fuel for my ridiculous fire baby)

Next, I would like Gwendolyn Bouchard to bpm (brutal pipe murder) someone. I’m sorry, I don’t even know her, but I need it. It would be funny

Finally, a happy ending. I know this is completely unrealistic, and almost definitely won’t happen, but that’s not going to stop me from hoping. (Jonny and Alex if you’re reading this, shut up stop laughing I know they all probably die or something, just let me HOPE)

thinking about how alkaid does extreme sports because he yearns to be free and see everything, and how he would specifically push himself to do dangerous things just to feel untethered for even a moment. which is most likely how he wound up passed out on that snowy mountain (which mc STILL thinks about to this day)

and mc worrying and almost asking him to stop doing dangerous sports, but instead realizing to not only trust alkaid, but to try and see things through his pov by trying an extreme sport herself. and she winds up LOVING it

and how it was a give and take of mc expanding her views on things, but also alkaid realizing to not just recklessly throw himself into shit to feel something. its the mutual growth. [i start shaking you] are you listening to me. AND. And.

and how this all ties into the fairytale event?? where the modern world alkaid appears in the fairtytale world via his dreams and mc gets to finally give him his wish: the chance to fly freely and oh my god that part makes sense now

So. That’s most of my thoughts. I LOOOOOVED THIS PODCAST!!! I never thought I’d be able to find anything that recreated what TMA meant to me, and while I still think that… DAMN, THIS IS CLOSE!!! And it’s its own little experience to seperate the two and make this so amazing and RAH RAH RAH I LOVE THIS I LOVE YOU MALEVOLENT HARLAN GUTHRIE I APPLAUD YOU!!!

But I do have one big thought in my head. I’m assuming the goal of season 2 will be to kill or just defeat The King In Yellow in order to keep Arthur’s body safe and escape the Dreamlands. But here’s the thing. If John is a part of The King’s soul… wouldn’t killing The King kill John as well? What if we get given the choice of killing The King or sparing him to save John, and Arthur chooses mercy? Because as much as he wants his body back, he doesn’t want to lose John??? I WOULD SCREAM!

And I swear to The King himself if I get reblogs like “You sweet Summer child” “No one tell her” “Oh you poor soul” like I did on my Faroe post I will throw kitchen appliances out of windows

maybe he met you before he met Childe, earning your trust and giving you a place to stay, somewhere away from the noise and people of the Harbor. you're not a creature of Liyue- not even of Teyvat anymore- but Zhongli tries to make sure that you're comfortable and content. and when he brings Childe to your little home outside the city, you immediately recognize him as Abyss-touched, tilting your head in curious delight. he's a bit scared of you- your size reminds him of the beasts he had to slay when he was a child- but your sheer joy at finding someone like you quickly has him relaxing and becoming just as curious as you, examining your wings and horns and claws and comparing them to his own

honestly, i think Childe kinda likes that he's smaller than you- he feels powerful and monstrous in his Foul Legacy form, yes, but there's something so comforting about the way you can just encase him in a hug, combing your talons through his copper hair. you both also understand the peculiar language of chirps and trills of Abyssal creatures, so often Zhongli will walk in on you and Childe splayed out in the sun having a conversation about something, chittering and nodding thoughtfully. also, more often than not you and Childe will end up sleeping curled around each other; a fluffy pile of fur and claws and teeth. Childe likes laying on top of you because you're warm and soft (a good mattress), so sometimes you wake up to him sleepily purring and kneading at your armor as he naps <33
