Clémentine the prettiest bell ringer ❤🔔🐐

They're simply delightful! Clémentine's design feels like a royal fairy tale with a touch of circus elements. The little goat-like features, such as the hook nose, are an added charm. The silver eyes and Filipino accent are a bonus. As for Clémentine's backstory, they are the child of an unnamed father who was a doll maker and a baroness named Enaïs. Furthermore, a baron was present in their life, but he was unfortunately beheaded. In short, Clémentine's history is fascinating.

God, they are just so perfect for each other: The Storyteller and Bell Ringer. Their sweet, harmonious relationship is a true delight! Yaelokre's art style and storytelling abilities are truly remarkable, and their fandom has produced some truly unique and beautiful OCs. Despite some bad elements in any fandom, we shouldn't let that spoil our love for a show, series, songs, or anything else. Even with the bad, there is still so much good to focus and enjoy.

Certain songs remind me of Moominvalley, particularly the "Snufmin" ship between Snufkin and Moomintroll. The vibe feels similar, cozy and sweet, and it brings me back to my childhood watching the series and enjoying fanfiction. When I listened to "Cole's Response 2/12/2024", it reminded me of watching Moominvalley compilations in 2019, specifically the sweet moments shared by Snufkin and Moomintroll. I really appreciate Yaelokre's art and storytelling, especially "Colentine". Their style truly captures the warmth and charm of Folk Fantasy.

A Breath of Fresh Breeze

Book 1 Chapter 1: The First Day

The great thing about High School Story is that there isn’t only one possible high school story. Your MC, the character who helps unify Berry High and is widely respected for it, can be almost anyone. As Principal Hughs herself says, “That’s the great thing about a fresh start. You can become anybody that you want to be”.

Here's just one possible High School Story. As much as Evie Ayana hates leaving behind what’s familiar, this move to Cedar Cove and a fresh start at the school where “you will always be accepted, no matter who you are” is exactly what she needs. The question is, can she accept the better, more welcoming school environment? Because when a good chunk of your life has been excessively uncaring towards you, going into a much kinder life may sometimes seem too good to be true.

This is an adaptation of Choices’s OG HSS trilogy (my favorite title on the app & easily among one of the bests to me) where I will be telling the story, choices, and perspective of my female MC Evie Ayana. This adaptation will follow in-game events, dialogue, and routes, with some expanded and additional scenes that tie into Evie’s experience of canon, and possibly some interlude scenes for events between the books.

question abt og fiction quartet: what if nova was the earth goddess & devin the light goddess? how would their life experiences and personality change? would they have to be different people BEFORE becoming gods to get this new assignment?

(my personal thoughts on this: light!goddess devin would focus her predictions on what should happen, what is just to happen. her character would be a lot more about being gods most miserable optimist forever.

her illusions would be more about what you hope is true, and pushing on despite the odds. her influence would make people believe that things can be Better. sort of a constant aura of "things need to change"

BUT. given the fact shed also be Way more around the light temple area; nightmare nightmare nightmare. inside, i think light goddess devin would be angry all the time. just. constantly enraged!! even worse than canon devin. i think her outward anger would be much.. colder though. she would have more power & more reason to focus on perception.

i also think devin would 100% stay in the closet in this AU. i imagine she'd have more social power already - and transitioning would make that harder to maintain. and she can lie to herself way better in this au.

she wouldnt actually engage much with the in place light temple, other than doing her best to reign in the Rampant sexual abuse. But. i think shed have her own little (EXTREMELY SECRET) club of light magicians, who do things like forgery and art!!

earth goddess nova is an entire different beast. my best guess would be that her main focus would be doing WONDERS for tachnis agricultural industry, with some help from devin. her persona would kind of be like a farmers goddess, almost! a lot more golds in her palette..

she would also have an. entirely different relationship with lies. i think she would know things are awful and wrong in the world, without light magic to lie to herself, but she would blame that on vague things, and pretend that all the answers are personal. i could even see her Begging devin to lie to her to make her be able to believe things are ok.

i think she would use the same amount of stimulants as in canon, but for different reasons then canon. probably so she can farm. i think shed be the type to say that all the problems are because of Heartless, City Living, and the solution is just to go back to the woods and old agriculture and it will be great yayyy <3 <- girl who doesnt wanna confront oppression

she would also be less pro sexuality, and instead just be like "all joy is in just small platonic interractions between friends!! the only person i need romantically is devin yayyy". aka nova if she was raised in a small town)

this ask is so good and these reads on them are So Good.

i pondered whether you'd need to swap their backgrounds too -- devin as the privileged and beloved child of powerful rich people, nova as the huge-eyed sacrificial orphan -- but i actually like exploring them as they are.

because then you get devin in this place of privilege-that-isn't... you're suddenly a god with the whims of the global market at your fingertips and nothing anyone can do about it, but you're surrounded by heinous fucking people who want to manipulate you.

and you get nova Also in this place of privilege-that-isn't... you're universally beloved by everybody in power and you won't be physically institutionalized or oppressed in the same ways that canon devin will, but you're constantly sick around your family & when you're at the earth temple you're alone bc said family won't give up their city comforts for you.

devin having a reputation for being a restless and dissatisfied god of justice with a targaryen-like rage (it's not even particularly targaryen-like) (it's rich people being really frightened when they end up reaping what they sow)

nova having a reputation for being a gentle beautiful hippie harvest goddess who can be relied upon to rein in the temper of her erratic husband....

i've read this hades and persephone retelling. it's not good for anybody involved

nova asking devin to lie to her is breaking my heart because that's Exactly how it would go. in canon, devin is the only thing that feels True to nova. if you flip the dynamic then you get a nova who's desperate for the comfort of a lie. tell me it'll be okay. tell me you're happy. tell me you love me. i'm sorry

i've said before that devin feels sick when given power over people, and i don't think that's any different here. devin Would Not Want to be the privileged person in this relationship. she'd tell nova whatever lies nova wanted to hear and try to believe them herself.

Conoce a Tokugawa Nozomi, apodada 'La luz de la esperanza'. Nacida un 22 de junio. 27 años. Como tercera princesa del shogunato de Hinomaru, ha dedicado todos sus esfuerzos en demostrarle a su pueblo lo mucho que le importa su bienestar.

a. ¿Ya conoces los rumores? Sobre aquella princesa de Hinomaru, la que podría ser repudiada por su propio padre. Ampliamente, se cree que Nozomi sería la última opción a considerarse en la línea de sucesión, no solo por ser la tercera hija sino también por esa personalidad que muchos han considerado excéntrica, demasiado radiante, demasiado gentil, poco práctica, poco centrada y nada solemne. No es inusual que el Shogun observe a su hija con desaprobación, que su ceño se frunza cada vez que la mal llamada ‘despreocupada Nozomi’ intervenga con una opinión distinta a la suya en la corte.

b. Sin embargo, la princesa dista mucho de aquella imagen de incompetente que han querido darle. Dueña de un corazón sumamente bondadoso y un profundo amor por su pueblo, Nozomi es conocida como “la luz de la esperanza”, amada y respetada por aquellos quienes la conocen en acción. Desde que era una adolescente, ha cumplido con el rol que deseó para sí misma, uno que requería tacto, delicadeza y mucha determinación para promover y fomentar toda causa benéfica a su alcance. Fungiendo como una destacada figura pública y el rostro de varias campañas de labor social, su ayuda es brindada de toda forma posible; ya sea tras bambalinas, como representante oficial, incluso inmiscuyéndose con toda persona o criatura implicada, más allá de un teatro o una pose fotográfica para salir en los medios. A veces, podrás escuchar murmullos que afirman el cómo la última hija del Shogun es quien mantiene a raya la tensión entre el pueblo y el supuesto orden tiránico del shogunato.

c. Dotada de inteligencia y talento, estudió Relaciones Diplomáticas en la universidad, destacando siempre académicamente. El respeto a la tradición es parte innata de ella y su cultura, gozando de la mejor educación por parte de tutores privados, institutrices y maestros/as expertos en diversas áreas. Dueña de gran talento artístico desde que era una niña, lo cultivó con trabajo duro y constante. Actualmente, se destaca por su interpretación de danzas tradicionales, por tocar con elegancia y precisión instrumentos únicos y característicos de su nación. Del mismo modo, Nozomi posee una destreza envidiable en arquería; no solo porque goza de un tiro preciso, sino porque esta clase de actividades le ayudan a enfocarse, concentrar la atención y a veces, a pensar o reflexionar mientras las realiza.

Datos adicionales:

a. Ama a los gatos con todo su corazón, pero su alergia no le permite estar cerca de ellos demasiado tiempo. Además, su estricto padre nunca le permitió tener uno de mascota, por lo que sus intentos de convencerlo con el tema de la desensibilización no tuvieron éxito.

b. Si hay algo por lo que la corte la admira, eso sería su impecable interpretación musical con su shamisen (también con la biwa). Es imposible negar su gran talento, la elegancia y pasión con la que toca, captando la atención y entreteniendo a todos con tan solo unos pocos segundos de haber empezado.

c. Es una maestra del escape (según su criterio). Desde que tiene algo de libertad para pasear a sus anchas, el aventurarse hacia lugares remotos de la ciudad o avanzar a través de calles estrechas es parte de su rutina. Nunca ha desaparecido durante sus días de trabajo, pero sí en el transcurso de aquellos donde el encierro en palacio es aburrido y lúgubre.

d. Debido a la poca fe que el shogun le tiene, ha sido casi imposible conseguir que la lleve en visitas diplomáticas a otros países. Aun a día de hoy, fantasea con ir a esos increíbles lugares y vivir la experiencia. Aunque está muy orgullosa de ser una gran conocedora de su amado país, viajando de norte a sur, y de este a oeste, mediante cualquier excusa que se le ocurra.

e. Es consciente de que su padre está intentando prometerla al mejor postor que pueda conseguir, pues considera que va siendo hora -si no es ya bastante tarde- de que contraiga nupcias en beneficio de alianzas políticas. Aun así, la juguetona princesa no se lo dejará tan fácil a quien intente conseguir su mano.
