Thoughts on Ruan Mei? And Xueyi? I know you fell for Dr Ratio.

Ruan Mei is a very interesting character. I feel like most, if not all of the characters kind of trust us or at least give us the benefit of the doubt upon first meeting them. I know that the Nameless have a good reputation and that it's well deserved but it's honestly a little refreshing to see someone who does not 100% trust us lol. I wouldn't call her a favorite of mine but she felt like a breath of fresh air to me.

Xueyi, hm. I honestly don't have too many thoughts on her, at least personality wise. I prefer Hanya more. Although, her play style does seem interesting. I don't think I'd mind having her if I got her but I can also live without her.

As for Ratio - hell no. He's nowhere near husband status for me. Is he hot? Definitely. Will I write for him? Absolutely.

His personality is what makes me feel conflicted. On one hand, it honestly is a little amusing. And I think we all established by now that I do like my men to be a little sus, maybe even a bit mean but Ratio sets me off. I don't think the two of us would get along well at all, people like him really get under my skin in real life. My other husbands also make me feel all warm and gooey on the inside, even if I do want to press a knife against some of their throats.

For him though, he's just too much of a prick for my tastes. I'm happily waiting for Adventurine though.

“The famous archaeologist and library scientist, Alegander Jamfoot! He used to travel around like Snorpy! He would tell all sorts of stories and taught me to love history! He was great.”

“Fascinating, aren’t they? We got paintings and records of them from thousands of years back. Grumpus civilization rise, fall and turn to dust, but these lil’ ones, they stay the same! They’re like walkin’ dinosaurs!”

Why did you leave town?

“Well leave isn’t exactly accurate. I just stopped coming back, really. I wasn’t even there when the fight happened. One day I come home and see Wiggle all red and at Triffany’s throat!

“He’s a great guy! It wasn’t that often we’d be in town together, but when we were, we’d share stories at Chandlo’s medical tent”

“Well adventurin’ is dangerous! Archaeology and Scoutin’ less so, but the Jamfoot Gigglefunny way can be a bit unconventional. It stressed Chandlo out real bad. He never liked seeing us hurt, especially Snorpy.”

What happened to Snorpy?

“Well, it’s only a matter of time before ya fall down a chasm, or get buried in the snow. Especially with those earthquakes shiftin’ everything around. I hate being so negative, but it’ll probably be thousands of years before someone finds him.”

I'd ne'er put much thought into flying. Snork has though, it seems. A ship that can fly, quite the thing! Imagine, another golden age fer piracy, all the way up in a different wild blue. 'Cept o'course if ye fall overboard, it's less Davey Jones an' more broken bones. At least the burial's still free! I Imagine the hole you'd make oughta be at least six feet deep. Maybe they ought t' tie rope to one another so they just dangle over the side a bit instead? [A small doodle of a grumpy looking moomin with an eyepatch dangling from a rope in the clouds below a flying ship fills the gap before the next line] 

Apologies on the grim jokes. Somethin' 'bout adventurin' brings back a bit o' the old me. Beneath my admittedly cuddly exterior these days, turns out I'm still a rough ol' sea dog at heart. Moominmama stuck a big ol' jar of things in my bag when I weren't lookin'. Lots of thoughtful things, little though they may be. A fine letter, as well. Her handwriting's a mite prettier than mine. Gon' stick it the next page over. She's a kind woman, and I've no doubt within her lies a raucous beast. Her husband writes about his "stormy youth", but I'd bet Moominmama's got some memoirs of her own t' write. 

Made landfall somewhere flat and dry in what I assume is Italy. Bound t' be a long trek to civilization, but that's all part o' the journey. Snork dropped me off, headed somewhere else. He said somethin' 'bout "making some adjustments" afore he goes off t' find his precious cargo. It's not often I find myself feeling that perhaps I'm in over me head, but if I'm not over me head, I'm at least over me snout. Got to thinkin' so much on people, and being in a strange place, and whether I'll like the food or what have ye, I ne'er even thought on where I were landing or even where I were going. Fixin' t' make camp fer now and see that I can't find my way toward something a lil more populated come morning. The adventure's only just begun.

Top five rocks?

oooooo yay i love collecting stones!!! :D My obsession with them started last october when i visited a friends of my sister's, she had a whole box of lil gems and even made custom gem bottles for us. (Mine broke unfortunately D: )

My white howlite, its the first stone my friend gave me and i keep it with me all the time. It has an downward curve in it for you to rub your thumb on. It also signifies anxiety

2. Rose quartz. I uh ended up breaking it (plus the howlite) when i was playing with a kitten before hence the cracks, i tried glueing and sanding it down as best as i could manage😂

3. I believe this one is adventurine ( im not too good at remembering each and every name of all the stones i have, i got a whole jar of em).I really like stones with the indents

4. This one is either black obsidian or hematite

My sister gifted this one to me and my bro since it came in a set of 3. Its super pretty and when you hold it in light it turns into a beautiful sunset like colour <3

Ooh tell me more about Karra

One of two main characters, names are Mayne and Karra(i think you can see how i named them both whjksh)

She's outgoing and energetic, friendly and the beginning of me making tall buff ish women, the kind of person to just carry someone shorter than her and swing em around lovingly. Loves seeing the viewtops of sunsets or rises from tops of roofs, she is reckless a lil

Shes the cause for warehouse adventurin in the main story present cuz she and mayne went on a hike found a warehouse and mayne fell down all the way to some bottom levels through mysteriously continuing to break floorboards

Her goal is getting her childhood friend OUT of there if he's even still alive and along the way she meets several characters all of whom have fun lil quirks (trauma most likely!)

She learns the trueish story about them and during the week or two shes stuck in there befriending her half of people, Shop being one of the people she befriends

even if he's an asshole at first he opens up over time and they are a favorite dynamic of mine/lh

One of my favorite Youtubers Laura Caldwell has done a video of her top 22 thrift finds of 2022 and I thought I might try a top 10. In no particular order:

I found a Herend Queen Victoria pattern ceramic basket. I've never liked ceramic baskets but this is my dream if-I-won-the-lottery dinner set so when I found something in this pattern in a thrift store I HAD to get it.

I got a mid century ceramic panther 2.5 feet tall, no cracks or chips. I had literally had daydreams where I walk into the thrift store and before I'm even in the door I see a ceramic big cat, I make a bee line for it and grab it growling 'Mine!' and march it up to the counter without even looking at the price. When I find out the price it's ridiculously reasonable. The only things that went different to how I'd daydreamed it was that my mother was very embarrassed by my squealing and my brother carried it to the counter for me.

The most stunning 1884 copy of The Life and Exploration of Dr Livingstone The Great Missionary Traveler. There are some horrifically racist bits, it was written by Victorians but he was very anti slavery and in one of his adventures someone was attacked by a lion so there's gorgeous pictures, in gold on the brown leather cover, of a slave with broken shackles and a white man being pinned down by a lion.

I got a parrot carved out of clear quartz with his beak and tail carved out of agate and his crest carved out of adventurine, he's perched on a chunk of amethyst.

A beautifully detailed framed ink drawing of a birds eye view of a snake skeleton in a box, every rib every vertebra and every fang is perfectly detailed and the shadows are all exact. It must have taken someone so long to draw.

A lovely not-for-export rose medallion vase. It's very old and you can tell from the precision of the painting and the lack of a mark that it was made for the Chinese market, they kept the good stuff for themselves and exported the sloppily painted stuff. It likely came to New Zealand with a Chinese family intending to set up market gardens or go gold mining in the late 1800s.

A hand painted plate for hanging on the wall as art. It's a night time jungle scene of a toucan silhouetted against a double waterfall. I'm a biiiiiiiiiiig fan of jungle themed stuff and I love scenes of the jungle at night.

6 pink Arcoroc Rosaline wine glasses. I have collected Rosaline for 2 years and in that time I only ever found 1 wine glass, I've got champagne flutes, cocktail glasses, liqueur glasses, sherbet dishes, bowls in 4 different sizes, more plates than I need, but could I find wine glasses? Then there they were, directly at eye level, $2 each, a set of six. I almost couldn't believe it. I had looked in every single thrift store I'd been in for the last TWO years, and I go thrifting at least twice a week, and in that whole time I had only ever found the 1 single wine glass.

A vintage great white shark jaw. I collect oddities and it was a bucket list find. I didn't expect to ever find one in the wild and I figured if I ever found one online here in New Zealand, I'd be paying a bomb for it, they're illegal to sell here unless they're pre 2006. I walked into my favorite thrift store and embarrassed my mother (again) by squealing when I saw it - embarrassed as she was she still bought it for me for Christmas.

My #1 best find was exactly a year ago today on the 2nd of January 2022. I went to a fabulous vintage market and walked into a booth and just thought 'I'm going to spend $$$ here'. I bought the most stunningly gorgeous hand-painted, artist signed 1865, French porcelain jardiniere with iris' (a flower that has special meaning to me) painted on it and lion handles. It's gorgeous and I got it for a steal considering how old it is and how intact. It's gorgeous colors and exquisite painting.

I probably could do 22 if I sat here for long enough but I'll just add a few honorable mentions:

Brass butterfly candle holders

A taxidermy cane toad (the exact day I had put a display case I already owned onto a new shelf and decided it looked good there I just had to figure out the perfect thing to put in it)

A mid century Italian brass tortoise trinket box

2 lovely Victorian vases and a gorgeous Art Nouveau vase

The perfect plant pot to compliment the Victorian Majolica plant stand that I bought a couple of years ago that was missing it's original matching jardiniere. It's modern but the color is almost exact and the lines are similar enough that it looks like it belongs, especially since I have a lush boston fern in it covering most of the pot.

Lots and lots of the Sun Purple glass I collect, I've gotten really good at spotting it over the last year.

Several gorgeous antique books but especially a set of 3 1910 Natural History books with gorgeous illustrations that were so pretty I took photos of some of them and got them printed on coasters.

The largest paua (New Zealand native abalone) shell that I have ever seen.

A Japanese rip off of the Minton Majolica Monkey teapot, I doubt I'll ever see the Minton one in the wild but I'm very happy to own the bootleg version.

Okay, harsh criticism towards HSR but I do agree with a friend of mine.

HSR is number based and very synergy based. But I also want to add that it's VERY gacha based.

I especially noticed it on Aventurine's boss fight. I had tried every combination of characters until I've decided to pull on Acheron.

Now, I will say that I was at lvl 67 back then for my account, so I had the hardest version of him and yes it was hard-- even with the nerf.

I am very happy to get Acheron don't get me wrong and I beat the boss, but it's clear that they're trying to start to add content that is made to sell certain characters-- like with the meme "something upon death", Adventurine's boss and probably more in the future.

But yeah that's my take.

Truly. School festival? Wild i dont think ive ever been to one of those. Not sure mine ever had them but im glad you had so much fun! Its not completely finished yet i get that done next week but its very cool i love it. I have like. 12 piercings now with still more i want. They were a slippery slope from getting two to all the ones i have & want but i hope you're able to get some in the future. I think i like my eyebrow & lip piercings best. Thats a wild difference damn. Its been sunny mostly cool days right now but we keep going from warmer days to rain/snow warnings here. Oh hell yeah congrats! Strange but positive is the best combination to have honestly. Id also love to check out carnivale if that still happens in italy or mardi gras over here down in louisiana if i had time. Just love the idea of big celebration with cool stuff. Oh sparkle is quantum support with action advance & crit damage (?) boost. She's real good for seele or many teams really. I got archeron! Just need to get her light cone but damn was she cool in the 2.1 story. Not gonna spoil if you havent played through yet. Congrats on your archeron pulls! I think i might save for topaz now & get adventurine later? I do like how he plays but ill grab him later i don't think i have use for him yet. Swarm is so annoying i gave up on it for now terrible fuckin enemies. Mood what set are you usin on archeron? I love her talent too just. Insta enemy kill what a time saver. Really did give her a great & interesting kit. Hm ill have to continue & see how complex she is. Been busy with other games & like. Cosmodyssey & the bartender event in star rail. FOR FUCKING REAL but at least using acheron in sim uni lets one skip the non boss battles so thats a massive timesaver and also makes dealing with the swarm a lot less problematic. since you only have to deal with the big guy at the end and not trouble yourself with the occasional encounter on the way. seriously tho acheron is so cracked in sim uni. she let me get the achievement for finishing every battle with all allies at 100% hp. im currently using band of sizzling thunder + inert salsotto [LOL] on her!!! as i said. scuffed but does the job for now. but im gonna get her pioneer diver of dead waters + izumo gensei and takama divine realm since i heard thats whats best on her. and yeah her kit is super fun!! and have fun with that!! honestly fair, tho im just stuck in my holy trinity of hi3 - hsr - noita. also i love the bartender event a lot both story and gameplay wise. very very cool. and thankies!!!!!!!
