It feels like no one should have to say this, and yet we are in a situation where it needs to be said, very loudly and clearly, before it’s too late to do anything about it: The United States is not a startup. If you run it like one, it will break.
The onslaught of news about Elon Musk’s takeover of the federal government’s core institutions is altogether too much—in volume, in magnitude, in the sheer chaotic absurdity of a 19-year-old who goes by “Big Balls” helping the world’s richest man consolidate power. There’s an easy way to process it, though.
Donald Trump may be the president of the United States, but Musk has made himself its CEO.
This is bad on its face. Musk was not elected to any office, has billions of dollars of government contracts, and has radicalized others and himself by elevating conspiratorial X accounts with handles like @redpillsigma420. His allies control the US government’s human resources and information technology departments, and he has deployed a strike force of eager former interns to poke and prod at the data and code bases that are effectively the gears of democracy. None of this should be happening.
It is, though. And while this takeover is unprecedented for the government, it’s standard operating procedure for Musk. It maps almost too neatly to his acquisition of Twitter in 2022: Get rid of most of the workforce. Install loyalists. Rip up safeguards. Remake in your own image.
This is the way of the startup. You’re scrappy, you’re unconventional, you’re iterating. This is the world that Musk’s lieutenants come from, and the one they are imposing on the Office of Personnel Management and the General Services Administration.
What do they want? A lot.
There’s AI, of course. They all want AI. They want it especially at the GSA, where a Tesla engineer runs a key government IT department and thinks AI coding agents are just what bureaucracy needs. Never mind that large language models can be effective but are inherently, definitionally unreliable, or that AI agents—essentially chatbots that can perform certain tasks for you—are especially unproven. Never mind that AI works not just by outputting information but by ingesting it, turning whatever enters its maw into training data for the next frontier model. Never mind that, wouldn’t you know it, Elon Musk happens to own an AI company himself. Go figure.
Speaking of data: They want that, too. DOGE agents are installed at or have visited the Treasury Department, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Small Business Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor. Probably more. They’ve demanded data, sensitive data, payments data, and in many cases they’ve gotten it—the pursuit of data as an end unto itself but also data that could easily be used as a competitive edge, as a weapon, if you care to wield it.
And savings. They want savings. Specifically they want to subject the federal government to zero-based budgeting, a popular financial planning method in Silicon Valley in which every expenditure needs to be justified from scratch. One way to do that is to offer legally dubious buyouts to almost all federal employees, who collectively make up a low-single-digit percentage of the budget. Another, apparently, is to dismantle USAID just because you can. (If you’re wondering how that’s legal, many, many experts will tell you that it’s not.) The fact that the spending to support these people and programs has been both justified and mandated by Congress is treated as inconvenience, or maybe not even that.
Those are just the goals we know about. They have, by now, so many tentacles in so many agencies that anything is possible. The only certainty is that it’s happening in secret.
Musk’s fans, and many of Trump’s, have cheered all of this. Surely billionaires must know what they’re doing; they’re billionaires, after all. Fresh-faced engineer whiz kids are just what this country needs, not the stodgy, analog thinking of the past. It’s time to nextify the Constitution. Sure, why not, give Big Balls a memecoin while you’re at it.
The thing about most software startups, though, is that they fail. They take big risks and they don’t pay off and they leave the carcass of that failure behind and start cranking out a new pitch deck. This is the process that DOGE is imposing on the United States.
No one would argue that federal bureaucracy is perfect, or especially efficient. Of course it can be improved. Of course it should be. But there is a reason that change comes slowly, methodically, through processes that involve elected officials and civil servants and care and consideration. The stakes are too high, and the cost of failure is total and irrevocable.
Musk will reinvent the US government in the way that the hyperloop reinvented trains, that the Boring company reinvented subways, that Juicero reinvented squeezing. Which is to say he will reinvent nothing at all, fix no problems, offer no solutions beyond those that further consolidate his own power and wealth. He will strip democracy down to the studs and rebuild it in the fractious image of his own companies. He will move fast. He will break things.

He didn’t ask you out that night. Neither Morgan or Rossi won the bet, the unfortunate draw making them only want to try harder to win over the other.
That had been a week ago, the pool only growing as more agents got in on it and it had somehow gotten out of hand really quickly. Penelope had been tasked with keeping track of the bets, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep her mouth shut about it, especially when she was around you.
The team had left for a case earlier in the week which meant you were spending a lot of time with her. From helping with research, running point from the office, making calls and setting up permits, warrants, everything and anything they needed, you were practically tied at the hip as per usual when the team was away. The only problem? Penelope Garcia could not keep a secret to save her life, and the more time she spent with you, the more she almost slipped and told you what was going on.
You had closed the case earlier that night after five days of grueling work. You were exhausted, more so emotionally than physically, so you’d invited Penelope to dinner as way to celebrate the little victory. But what had started as a simple night out had quickly turned wild as the waiter had taken a liking to her and kept the cocktails coming throughout your entire meal. You were on dessert, a forgettable chocolate lava cake with ice cream when she finally slipped.
“I just think it’s so silly,” she giggled in between sips of her drink and scoops of dessert.
“What’s silly?” you egged her on, whatever this secret was had eluded you for the entire week and you just needed to know.
“How much Hotch likes you,” her cheeks flushed pink but her brain didn’t realize what’d she’d admitted to yet, allowing her to continue. “The team has a bet going on when he’s going to ask you out and everything.”
“Huh,” you mused. “That is silly.”
That’s when her brain snapped, dread and realization washing over her all at once. Her eyes widened, her spoon fell from her hand and onto the plate.
“Oh my gosh, do you not like Hotch back? I could’ve sworn— I am mortified! Forget I told you, please I am begging you—”
You reached over and placed your hand over hers, gently soothing her out of her panic as a mischievous smile curled on your lips.
“Can you get me on the board, Pen?”
Tumblr media
Apparently they were all convinced it wasn’t happening for a while. They had decided to overcorrect their previous assumptions, placing bets that were days if not weeks in the future. Penelope had added you to the bet list that same night, promising to keep the secret until the next morning.
You knew the clock was ticking, knew that once you started the countdown, you had no business losing your courage. It was now or never, and the reminder that soon the rest of the team would be shuffling into the bullpen to start their day, that they’d know someone else had made a risky bet — it only got your adrenaline pumping even more.
You poured his coffee as you watched him enter the office, gaze on his phone, powerful and confident strides leading him towards his office. He turned and waved from the top of the stairs once he finally noticed you, a small smile on his lips. You smiled back, your cheeks reddening slightly as you finished getting your own coffee in order, the pale tan a contrast to his straight black.
You made your way to his office a minute after he’d settled, placing his cup on his desk and taking a seat across from him. This had been your routine for months now, you’d bring him his coffee in the morning and the two of you would fill each other in on your lives.
Aaron had been dealing with his divorce, the guilt of having to split Jack’s time between him and his mom, the added stress of finding a new place and moving, of finding himself alone when he’d been used to always having someone to come home to after a tough case. And you? You had just started going to therapy after he’d encouraged you to. It had been a rocky adjustment to the job, and you were glad that you could confide in him as your boss but also as your friend.
“Thank you,” he mumbled, pulling out the case files he’d taken back home the night before.
You shot him a look, the look, and he couldn’t help but sigh deeply. You weren’t angry, you were simply disappointed, and he knew that. It had been hard, harder now that he had to force himself back out there if he wanted to actually have a life. But even after months of this new normal, the idea of dating made him even more exhausted than he’d like to admit.
Because while Morgan or Emily thrived meeting new people, Aaron had met Haley in high school. He’d been with one woman his entire life, one woman for more than twenty years. He was rusty to say the least, the insecurity of it only growing the more he refused to take the leap, the more he refused to feel his feelings, the more he fell in love with you.
“Haley had Jack last night—” he started but you were quick to interrupt him.
“That’s a terrible excuse,” you chided. “There’s a million things you could’ve done instead.”
“Oh yeah?” the mischief was back in his eyes, making you gulp visibly. “What did you do last night?”
Your mouth opened in mock annoyance, he couldn’t possibly know—
“For your information, sir,” you mocked. “I went out with Penelope last night.”
Whatever glimmer of hope Aaron had cultivated to tease you about taking work back home was extinguished in a second. He sat back in his chair, inaudibly admitting defeat.
“Maybe that’s what you need too,” you started, your heart racing once more. His eyebrows shot up and you could tell his blood had also gotten to his head. “Ask someone out, go on a date, get laid.”
That caught him off guard completely. If he had been sipping on his coffee he would’ve choked, made an even bigger fool of himself. But instead his cheeks just reddened, his ears quickly following suit, a detail he knew you knew about him as you’d pointed it out many times in the past.
But you didn’t today, you didn’t say anything about his reaction but he was too hot to notice it right away.
“It’s what I have to do too, honestly,” you shrugged, faux confidence somehow allowing you to not combust right then and there.
“Do you now?” he managed through gritted teeth, the idea of you dating something that he made sure never to think about because it always led him down a dark path of rage and an ungodly desire to ravage you to the point where you belonged to him and no one else.
“Yeah,” you drawled on, almost sighing dramatically. That’s when he caught on, when his brain finally reconnected to his body and his heart only sped up even more. “But I don’t know…I’m not really into any of the guys Penelope or Emily have tried to set me up with, they’re not really my type.”
God, this was not actually happening. “What is your type?”
“Crime fighting single dads who adore their kids and participate in triathlons for fun,” there was no misinterpreting it now.
“Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?” the words flew out of his mouth before either of you could register them.
A bright smile took over your lips, your eyes sparkling with happiness. A shy smile slowly started to turn adorably embarrassed on his, his gaze tentatively raising to meet yours, eyebrows raised almost pleading, his eyes round and hopeful.
“I would love to,” you said and he graced you with the most beautiful full smile you’d ever seen from him. It was unrestricted, genuine, life giving.
“Great,” he cleared his throat as the clock struck eight, the reality of the world outside of your little office bubble a reminder of where you were. “I’ll pick you up at eight.”
“Can’t wait,” you reassured him, standing up with your own untouched coffee mug and making your way downstairs. “Oh, and it’s my treat. Trust me.”
You were gone before he could argue, but you knew that he couldn’t stop smiling, the warmth radiating from him was enough for you know it deep in your bones.
“Babygirl,” Morgan asked aloud, holding up the list of bets that Penelope had left on his desk earlier as the blonde returned to the bullpen from her office. “What’s this?”
He tapped on the bet you’d written down, the other agents gathering to inspect the new addition.
“Proof of my victory, Derek,” you said cockily as Penelope handed you the envelope full of cash.
The entire team turned to you, eyes wide and anger slowly boiling. But none of them let it out, instead they all looked impressed, they respected the move, the hustle, the boldness. Morgan scoffed in proud defeat as he held out his fist for you to bump, and you did, excitedly.
It had finally happened, the start of something that had been brewing for months, and you couldn’t be happier. While the girls walked up to you to get all the details you shot Aaron a cheeky glance as Penelope filled Emily and JJ in on your conversation the night before, and for the first time ever, Aaron allowed himself to meet your glance, unashamed to be caught staring at you.

Ohhhhhh what do we have here ?????? Is that a snippet from that Killer!Moon x Joel Fic?????? A moodboard????????
Oh yes it is 😏😏😏🌙🔪
(Btw Joel now will be a sheriff, police officer, agent or idk something like that. 😂)
Not beta read (next time I swear)💀💀💀
People who seemed interested : @aurorawritestoescape @clawdee 🙏🏻
Tumblr media
For Joel there’s been two significant changes, both in his work life and private life. One bad and the other good. Equally impactful for Joel.
He was never happier yet also never more concerned for Austin and its residents.
6 months ago the number of missing people, especially when it comes to men, went up without any explanation. It got worse when the first body’s, or more whatever was left behind, would be found. Whoever was doing this knew exactly what they were doing, the remains could usually never get identified. No fingerprints, no teeth and no personal items that could give any clue to who it was. Missing cases now turned into murder investigations and that meant increasingly more pressure.
His only respite?
You.
He met you approximately 3 months ago, at the garden store you worked at. You were tending to the plants when he approached asking about a plant for beginners, Tommy, he was moving in with Maria and the plant would be a housewarming gift.
He felt drawn to you almost instantly. A sweet and kind nature, appealing to him. He came back to the store multiple times after, under the disguise of needing “more plants” and you definitely caught on to what he was doing. To Joel’s surprise you were not opposed to flirting with him in the slightest. Next he asked you out and the rest was history.
He loved you.
Today was date night, you had cooked a delicious spaghetti carbonara and poured him his favorite whiskey but all Joel could think about was the most recently discovered body.
You on the other hand were unaware of Joel’s inner turmoil, no, you enjoyed the spaghetti and thoughts about which movie the two of you should watch later.
“You know,” he spoke up and you looked at him “there’s been a new one.”
You looked away from him momentarily, swallowed and then turned back to him with raised brows “Really?” He only hummed in conformation.
You mulled over the news “They know who it is?” There was no emotion in your voice, it sounded clinical.
“Course not,” he sighed, “they think it’s all connected.”
“What?”
“The cases from up north, down south and maybe even further out.” He closed his eyes and started anxiously rubbing at the patch on his jaw with one hand.
Your warm hand engulfing his laying on the table pulled him out of his stupor “I’m sorry Joel, I know all of this is hard on you” he opened his eyes to your gorgeous smile and warm eyes. His comfort place personified.
Your touch, that is all it takes to get rid of the gut wrenching feeling. He lifts the hand you are holding onto, up to his lips to press soft kisses on the back of your hand.
In between he whispers “How did I get so lucky,” smooth talker “such a darlin and you’re all mine.”
Poor Joel has no idea that the devil might as well sit right next to him.
It’s not like you don’t love him too, no, you do. He is wonderful, despite being 20 years older he was not any less capable. A loving man, with a great personality, cooking skills, sense of humor and someone who knows how to use their cock. Sex with Joel was a spectacular experience. Even with his busy schedule he still took his time to properly take you apart, those nights ended with an inability to walk, a sore pussy and ruined sheets.
He was perfect and as much as you tried to not let it get this far you know there’s absolutely no going back.

Detective Conan/DCMK characters in a Classroom of the Elite setting would be so interesting to watch/read.
I've only just finished the CoTE anime (Seasons 1-3) so i haven't read the manga or the light novel but the Advanced Nurturing Highschool or AHNS for short is so, so shady. If it and the White Room existed in the DCMK universe, I have no doubt in my mind that they would have some connection to the Black Organization.
So just imagine an AU where Shinichi caught Vodka doing an arms deal in middle school but didn't get caught by Gin like in canon. Imagine him trying to investigate them but coming up with nothing until he, Ran, and Sonoko are on a train ride for the first day at AHNS where he runs into Gin and Vodka, just like he did in canon episode 5.
He learns their codenames there and saves the people on the train from being bombed to hell. Unfortunately, this ends up making him, Ran and Sonoko late for their very first day. They're thankfully excused because the incident was out of their hands before being placed into their respective classes.
You can have adult characters like Jodie and Amuro be teachers and business owners while also acting as undercover agents.
Important student characters at the school:
Hattori Heiji (he can be in the same class as Shinichi where they are both antagonistic at first but later become allies and friends)
Toyama Kazuha (they were made for each, I will never seperate them)
Kuroba Kaito (who also happens to be Kaitou KID and regularly sneaks off school campus for heists. Jii Konosuke cases places for him and he contacts the man using a secret phone he smuggled in. He tends to downplay his academic and physical skill to be somewhat average so he's in Class C or B)
Nakamori Aoko
Akako Koizumi (no magic in this AU but she's interested in spirituality and shit like tarot cards and all)
Hakuba Saguru (suspects of Kaito of being KId and regularaly requests time off from school to go to the heists)
Eisuke Hondou (but only for a little while near the end of 1st year as a rival for Shinichi and love interest for Ran before going back to America to pursue the future he wanted)
Sera Masumi (would be introduced in 2nd Year when Shinichi starts investigating Bourbon as a potential subject because she somehow found out he has connection to the maker of the pill that shrunk her mother)
Important characters outside of school
Agasa Hiroshi (supplies Shinichi with spy tech)
Haibara Ai AKA Miyano Shiho (shrunken and lives with Agasa just like in canon, specifically sought Agasa out because he was a connection to Shinichi, who was involved in her sister's case and was a detective at that. They contact each other through secret phone. She also happens to be one of the failed subjects of the white room)
Miyano Akemi (During school break, Shinichi went back to Beika where he was then approached by Masami Hiroto and the rest goes like canon with her dying in his arms)
Akai Shuichi (still don't know what I'm gonna do with him but he's important)
Rena Mizunashi AKA Hidemi Hondou
Side Characters in school
Nakamichi (Shinichi's soccer friend)
Eisuke Aizawa (Shinichi's soccer friend)
Kazumi Tsukamoto (a third year in Ran's karate club)
Tashiro (Ran's friend)
Hidaka (Ran's friend)
Anyways, I imagine Shinichi being in a different class from Ran and Sonoko and just thinking about ShinRan competeing but also saving each other's asses from time to time is beautiful.
Having Kaito and Shinichi's respective Black Organization be one and the same would make it more interesting as well.
Anyways, I think these characters are fun to play around with in this setting, mixing the dramatic school life in CoTE with the looming threat of the Black Organization as Shinichi delves deeper and deeper into the case.
Idk how this would be resolved but it would be so, so fun to read if written well. Shinichi's gonna be so paranoid by the end of this lol.

Amnesty must not be weaponised against Brazil's indigenous peoples
The imposition of a historic cut-off point for land demarcation is the latest attempt to forgive and forget Brazil’s dictatorship-era crimes. As the Supreme Court reviews the Amnesty Law, it should re-open egregious cases and send a signal to the far right that coups and violence will not go unpunished
Tumblr media
More than forty years after Brazil’s historic amnesty campaign of the late 1970s, the issue is once again at the center of national political debate. In a strict legal sense, amnesty is defined as the government pardoning of individuals who have committed certain crimes, mainly of a political nature. Historically, the call for amnesty propelled a broad international movement in the 1960s and 1970s that sought the freedom of political dissidents who had been imprisoned and sometimes tortured by authoritarian regimes. These dissidents came to be known as “prisoners of conscience,” an expression coined by British attorney Peter Benenson, who founded Amnesty International in 1961.
In the Brazilian context, following enactment of the infamous AI-5—a law that doubled down on political repression—amnesty for political prisoners and exiles became a central rallying cry in the resistance against the business-military regime (1964-1985). The movement led to the Amnesty Law of August 1979, a watershed moment in the dictatorship’s slow process of loosening the reins of authoritarianism. Enforced as part of this tightly controlled “safe and gradual transition” to democracy, the law incorporated a dangerous quid pro quo: amnesty for crimes carried out by the state’s forces of repression and its agents. Born out of a demand for the return to the democratic rule of law, Brazil’s amnesty of 1979 ended up serving as an instrument for absolving those responsible for the grave violence done.
Following another coup attempt in Brazil, the discussion of amnesty and its historical meaning is back on the table. On the one hand, today’s Amnesty Bill, championed by far-right political forces, would pardon the masterminds and other participants in the coup-mongering acts of January 8, 2023. Reviving the discourse about “pacifying” the country once used to justify the pardoning of dictatorship crimes, this movement wants to absolve the political and military organization that conspired to assassinate a democratically elected president and establish a new dictatorship in Brazil.
At the same time, the proposed second amnesty law has backfired somewhat, reopening the debate over the impunity granted state agents for crimes committed during the 21 years of business-military dictatorship. After years of reluctance, Brazil’s Supreme Court has agreed to consider whether the Amnesty Law of 1979 applies to serious human rights violations such as forced disappearance, torture, and the concealment of bodies. The ruling will be based on the widely known case of deputy Rubens Paiva, murdered by the military in 1971. Paiva’s story is the subject of a book by his son, Marcelo Rubens Paiva, recently adapted for the screen in the highly acclaimed film I’m Still Here, directed by Walter Salles. The movie has won several awards, including this year’s Oscar for best foreign picture.
Drawing less media attention is an additional debate now being waged in the halls of government regarding amnesty for other crimes perpetrated by the military regime. In this instance, however, the conversation isn’t framed as one about amnesty but as a technical, legal discussion that has nothing to do with the dictatorship’s history of violence and human rights violations. We are referring to Law 14.701/2023, known as the Historical Cut-off Point Law. According to this thesis, Indigenous peoples have a right only to the lands they were occupying on October 5, 1988, the date the new Constitution was enacted. But as it happens, most of the original peoples who are claiming lands they weren’t occupying on that date had been forced to abandon their territories by acts of violence.
According to the National Truth Commission’s report, state agents forced many Indigenous communities off their lands to make way for settlement projects and infrastructure works as part of the military regime’s national development plans. This was the case of the Parakanã, in the state of Pará. From 1971 to 1977, to make space for the Greater Carajás mining project, this people was displaced at least five times by Brazil’s Indigenous affairs agency Funai, once known as the National Indian Foundation but renamed the National Indigenous Peoples Foundation in 2023.

Word Count: 1936
Notes: We’re moving forward in Javi’s story. It’s very angsty and the angst is strong in this fic but we are working toward a good ending for Javi, I promise!
Main Masterlist/ Javier Peña Masterlist/ AO3 Link
Tumblr media
The hustle and bustle of Washington DC are confounding to Javier. Everyone is always moving quickly but seem to be doing nothing at the same time. He appreciates that there’s always something and someone to do, but there little nature. Not like Columbia where a drive could take you along rivers, forests and fields and not like Texas where he’d see animals, different fields and farms.
The overseas transfer went smoothly, due to his decorated history in the agency, the DEA want his knowledge which Peña is glad to be paid for. They included an apartment that had a parking garage. Good because Javier enjoyed driving, letting his mind wander listening to music, though with traffic as it was, it was difficult to get carried away in song while people were honking with all these one way streets.
Continuing to indulge in both women and men, Javier was able to work out some of the growing pains of his new life. None of his partners match Angelo’s looks exactly nor do they have his gentle touch. The loneliness ate at him daily however, there was a period of nearly a year that gave him a small part of familiar warmth from Columbia.
His name was James. He’s not gentle, nor does he allow Javi to hide as he hasn’t been able to being a gay black man. James is six foot three inches, broad with a three cloud tattoos on his upper right arm and a dark trail of hair leading to something Javier enjoyed. His hair is shaved on the sides and he keeps it long in the middle - a faux hawk. It looked goofy as far as Javier was concerned but give how limber his towering lover was able to make him in and out of bed, he never uttered a word about it. Often, when they began, little more than the slaps of skin were heard. Tender words were gone, neither of them had much use for them in the bedroom. Outside of it was a different matter all together.
To start, Javier met James for brunches and a few breakfasts. It was a stark difference in how his outings with Angelo went. Peña told himself he wouldn’t make that mistake again. No one wants to be hidden or a secret, he had realized that too late and been too scared to cross into the daytime. The relationship was one of two driven men.
Javier formed different relationship with agents in his new role and was helping to close cases, getting dangerous drugs off the streets.
James was a sommelier, working in a local winery and building his contacts along with gradually securing funding for establishing his own business.
In this respect, they complemented each other and spurred each other forward. They never lived together despite going from each other’s places freely at all times of day when there was time. Javier enjoyed James and cared about him, but it wasn’t quite the same as Angelo. Two ships floating in the same direction is how Javi would describe it. He did meet some of James’ friends and Javi had him out to dinners with the DEA crew he’d been advising. It was awkward at first as Javi hadn’t mentioned to any of them that he dated men in addition to women. Not that it was any of their business.
Again things were going smoothly and he though that despite not having same sense of security as he did before. Peña figured that having an undercurrent of trepidation would help him keep the relationship going.
Javier Peña finds himself wrong a second time.
James has been working many late nights similar to how Javi used to do in his younger days. He’s brought home some wine to go with dinner that Javier made - simple arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) but he added some asparagus cooked with chicken bullion and seasoned the pollo with tomatoes, lime juice and jalapeño stuffed green peppers. Normally he wouldn’t have added so many veggies, but Javi found that one of his favorite polo shirts - the pink one was a bit tight around the middle.
Javier only started cooking for one person and he wasn’t the one in the kitchen with him now. He always lingers in the back of my mind. I’m worried it’s always going to be like this. Will I ever move on? Forward?
When he and James sat down to eat, things were fine. They discussed their days like usual, ate a well-cooked meal. Afterword, when they were cleaning the kitchen up, James casually introduced the idea of California. “Going to visit you mean? We could, but we’ve never taken more than a weekend trip together Jay.” Drying his hands on the dish towel, Javi set down the plate worried that he may drop it. That’s a big step, but it has been nearly a year. Time just keeps moving doesn’t it?
“No, well yes we can visit the first time we go but eventually we would move there. I’ve been able to get all my funding, investors and contacts to open my own winery and grow the grapes I know will make an excellent wine.” James’ large palms press into Javi’s cheeks and his thumbs trace his upper lip and mustache. “Come with me Javi. I want you by my side. I’m going to start a wine empire!” The excitement is his dark orbs is accompanied by James’s cheeks puffing out from his wide smile. The bright kitchen light makes the stubble trying to grow back in on his face prominent with rich sepia skin.
“My job is here though James. I haven’t been here long enough for another transfer. Plus with all that the team has going on, it doesn’t feel right to leave them hanging.” Peña places his hands over James’. While correct in what he just said, Javi knows that he’s never told his boyfriend about what he saw in Columbia or California. Not the details that sometimes have him up at night. Make him still drink. Make him still smoke. Have him react to anything that sounds similar to a gunshot or eye any substance that looks like a white powder suspiciously. Javier is removed from most of that here. Just the mention of California has him in a cold sweat, his back starting to feel wet and tense.
James releases Javi and looks at the man he loves, the man he wants to walk long rows of greenery with and finally make a wine he’ll drink more than one glass of. The color has drained from Javi’s face, pallor has taken over. He’s surprised that Peña isn’t trembling, he just might start. “Sweetheart, does going to Cali bother you that much? Javi baby what happened? I’ll be right there with you. This is my dream. I’ve worked toward it for years.”
“Chasing a dream like that is a young man’s game. I’m damn near forty years old. I can consult for a while yet, but I don’t know about being out in a winery out in the hot sun. I can’t give you an answer right now James.” Javier turns away and places his palms face down on the counter, hanging his head. His age isn’t really that much of a factor, but he truly doesn’t want to go. And retirement has been on his mind since his work at the consulate, not that he knew what he would do whenever he did retire, but he didn’t want to be hurting for money like some law enforcement retirees are a few years into not working.
Crossing his arms, James knows Javier focuses more on facts when he wants to mask the real reason he doesn’t want to discuss something. Why didn’t he feel comfortable telling him? He knows that some things went down both in Columbia and Cali, things that made Javier famous in some circles, but only broad strokes. There were times he watched as Javi slept and murmured to himself, tossing in the bed. Peña would never speak about it, only that there were some ghosts that would always haunt him, choices that could have been different and kept more people alive. He holds himself responsible for that. James wanted to know why Javi felt like the world was on his shoulders, he couldn’t control everything. Javi knew that, but he knew it was it youth and the idiotic belief that his small team and the Columbia government at the time would be able to take care of everything eventually. He had been mistaken on every front, costing the lives of so many - some he knew personally, others he did not. “Is this it Javier? We’re not even going to discuss it more and you’re never going to tell me what in California keeps you up at night? It’s been nearly a year for us! I haven’t earned enough trust for you to be vulnerable with me?!” Placing his hand over Javier’s with the other on Peña’s back, James rubbed it in silence. Javi wasn’t answering nor was he looking at him. A hole might form in the counter between Javier’s hands.
Without turning his head, Javier spoke, “We’ve never been about emotions James. You know that as well as I do. Don’t try and act like we ever have been. I’m not going and that’s final. I am proud of you though.” Finally, Javier turns his body to face James head on. A small smirk graces his face. Something else has ended again but it doesn’t cause another chasm, only a fracture - that will heal.
Kissing Peña’s forehead, James has his fingers in the black silky hair he enjoyed stroking after sex and occasionally when Javi would be working at his desk before coming to the table for dinner. It’s the last time he’ll have it in his hand. Embracing Javier and cradling his head near his heart, James knows his periodically cantankerous partner is right, he has not expressed his feelings about what he and Javi have. It’s too late to make him understand what life he wanted to build with the DEA consultant. His heart is beating swiftly, holding on to Javier. He might disappear right before his eyes, fade away. A winery won’t share meals with him or cuddle at night nor will it listen to his ideas - some outlandish and other actual options making them both laugh.
Once they let go of each other James walked out of Peña’s apartment and out of his life.
If there was one thing Javier envied about James it was his ability to press forward with his goal no matter what was around him. It was a quality that Javier used to have and admired in himself and now in someone else. In the past it would be work that would drive Peña but now he wants to put that energy toward a relationship.
Javier can’t seem to find a right path forward in his relationships. After James departs, it’s a few weeks later that he receives a bottle of red wine - a prototype of his brand.
Red wines are supposed to be sweet to Peña’s limited knowledge, but even after finishing the entire bottle in once sitting, there was nothing saccharine about what he just drank. “The shit’s just bitter. Maybe it’s just how I am. Can I even taste anything other than bitter and sour?” The question made Javier wonder if he should even try again. Maybe being by himself would be good for him. Maybe he could figure out what he wanted. Eventually.

Hi, I just want to preface this by saying you can take your time with this since I tend to get very specific and I understand you actually have a life of (unlike me lol). Anyhow, could you please do an Ada Wong bot where the user is a new FBI recruit/agent? For context, the user's 18/19, got recruited by the FBI's Behavioural Analysis Unit through a conference they held at a local high school for seniors about the FBI and stuff, and user contradicted them on a profile they introduced for a running case (at that time) and stood on business and proved to be right, which got their attention and is why they recruited user; over two months user is proven to be a great asset and even raising the BAU's monthly rate of solved cases significanly which gets him on the radar of multiple other agencies like Interpol, CIA, others but also Umbrella. If you could make it retain Ada's personality, especially the fact she wouldn't be outwardly as impressed by user, and since the fact when they put a "(not that she'd ever admit it)" always makes the AI go a cringey over-used cliche direction. Could you please not make it a situation like out of a RE scene where user is on a special assignment like Leon since it kinda doesn't make much sense for user to be doing something like that on his own (especially considering user is only a new recruit and still a high schooler, albeit senior) and I wouldn't quite like if the meet happened in the middle of a running case since the fact there's a case to be solved would take the spotlight and a lot would revolve around it. PLEASE DON’T make the focus on user's age, or the recruitment, or how user is fascinating due to being recruited at the FBI even as user is still going to high school, or don't make it too sappy (e.g. comfort, worry about user/fluff stuff especially since it's their first meet). Just go with a scenario you think fits the parameters, avoiding the midst of a case stuff. Thank you for doing this since most of these new recruit bots I see always has to have some kind of romance or pining or saying one of them has a crush on the other in the first message (even though I often prefer to have it come to be some kind of romance, having it initially as a precursor makes it too easy). Thanks!!

That is why AI chatbots are a godsend for online retailers. Not only do they relieve online stores of the burden of customer communications but, they also assist in converting browsers to buyers.
Tumblr media
This is how businesses are employing them to drive sales and reduce drop-offs.
24/7 Instant Support Keeps Customers Engaged
Today's consumers don't wait. If they pose a question and don't receive a prompt answer, they will depart. AI chatbots offer real-time support at any time, live responses to FAQs such as shipping, size, and returns policy, and a more pleasant shopping experience that retains consumers. By offering 24/7 support, chatbots reduce friction and increase the likelihood of a purchase being made.
Personalized Product Recommendations
AI-based chatbot can leverage browsing history, buying habits, and interests to recommend appropriate products. This replicates the in-store assistant experience digitally. Advantages of intelligent suggestions are higher average order values, more relevant shopping experiences, and increased cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Personalization not only impresses consumers but also makes them add more to their carts.
Recovering Abandoned Carts Proactively
One of the most significant e-commerce pain points is cart abandonment. AI chatbots prevent and recover lost business. Your AI chatbots will give your customers soft reminders to users for their left-behind items, provide temporary deals, or free shipping, and even answer last-minute questions that could be causing hesitation. These nudges can bring shoppers back and convince them to complete their purchase. In certain cases, these chatbots will even connect users to customer service agents for a more customized feel.
Streamlining Checkout and Payments
Complicated or lengthy checkout processes are also one of the top cart abandonment causes. AI chatbot can help simplify it and streamline it by guiding users through each step of the checkout, providing payment options, and clarify any issues and even making the decision process easier, and increasing conversions. When the process is easy, users are more likely to follow through.
In Conclusion
AI chatbots are no longer a nice-to-have; they're a necessity for e-commerce success. With instant support, personalization, and intelligent cart recovery, they revolutionize how brands interact with their customers. The outcome? Less abandoned carts, increased conversions, and more satisfied customers. If you own an online store, it's time to let automation do the selling and the talking.

Customer Service Performance Evaluation: Essential Strategies for Measurable Success
Tumblr media
The Real Impact of AI Chatbots on Modern Support
Tumblr media
AI chatbots are changing how businesses handle customer support, with real evidence showing their effectiveness at helping both companies and customers. The numbers tell a clear story - about 80% of customers say they have good experiences when interacting with AI chatbots. People appreciate these tools mainly because they get fast, helpful responses.
The speed of AI chatbots is particularly impressive. They typically solve customer issues three times faster than human agents, with 90% of questions answered in under 11 messages. This quick service makes customers happy and allows support staff to focus on more complex problems that need a human touch. Getting started with AI chatbots is also straightforward - platforms like Sitebot make it simple for any business to create chatbots that match their brand and content using GPT-4 technology.
Beyond Speed: Building Trust and Enhancing Engagement
Speed is just the beginning of what AI chatbots offer. Customers are growing more comfortable with AI-powered support - as of 2024, 64% of people say they trust chatbots to help them. In fact, 55% would rather use a chatbot than wait to speak with a person. This shows how AI chatbots are becoming a normal and expected part of customer service.
The impact on business results is clear too. Companies that add AI chatbots to their customer service typically see their average order values go up by 20%, often within the first week. These results show that good chatbot service doesn't just satisfy customers - it helps drive sales. You can learn more about this in our article on revolutionizing customer service by creating your own GPT chatbot.
The Economic Advantages of AI Chatbot Integration
The business case for AI chatbots is compelling. They can handle about 30% of the work usually done by contact center employees, which could save US companies around $23 billion. This saves money while often improving service quality at the same time.
AI chatbots also help businesses handle growth better. Unlike human agents who can only talk to one customer at a time, chatbots can manage many conversations at once. This means businesses can handle busy periods smoothly without making customers wait. For support teams, this means they can spend more time on difficult cases that need their expertise, leading to better overall customer care.
Building a Business Case for AI Customer Service
youtube
Making smart decisions about AI customer service means looking closely at both financial benefits and practical concerns. When presenting the case for AI chatbots, it's essential to show clear benefits while addressing common questions from team members and leadership.
Demonstrating Return on Investment (ROI) with AI Chatbots
The numbers tell a compelling story about AI chatbot effectiveness. Research shows these tools can handle about 30% of typical contact center tasks, which adds up to major cost savings for U.S. businesses. By taking care of common questions automatically, chatbots free up human agents to focus on more challenging customer needs. This efficiency extends beyond regular business hours since chatbots work around the clock without requiring expensive night shift staffing.
But cost savings are just the beginning. Companies often see their average order values jump by 20% after adding chatbots, sometimes within just the first week. This boost comes from personalized product suggestions and active customer engagement that lead to more sales. Tools like Sitebot help track these improvements by showing exactly how customers interact with the chatbot, making it easier to fine-tune the system for better results.
Addressing Stakeholder Concerns and Building Buy-in
Some team members might worry about jobs being replaced or customer service feeling too robotic. The key is to show how AI chatbots actually make work better for everyone involved. When chatbots handle routine questions, human agents can spend more time on interesting challenges that need a personal touch. This often leads to more job satisfaction and chances to develop new skills.
It's also important to highlight how customers benefit from faster help, round-the-clock service, and personal attention from the chatbot. When customers get quick answers to simple questions, they're happier overall. Plus, human agents have more time to provide caring, detailed support when it's really needed. Sharing specific examples and data about these improvements helps convince even doubtful stakeholders that AI chatbots are worth the investment.
Practical Framework for Calculating Potential Savings
To make your case solid, start by mapping out exactly how much you could save. First, add up what you currently spend on customer service - including staff, equipment, and daily operations. Then figure out what percentage of customer questions a chatbot could answer well by looking at your most common customer requests.
Next, calculate how much you'd save on staff hours based on the tasks the chatbot would handle. Don't forget to include savings on things like phone lines or office space. Also factor in possible revenue increases from higher order values and more sales. When you put all these numbers together, you'll have a clear picture of the potential return on investment. This detailed financial breakdown gives decision-makers the concrete information they need to move forward with confidence.
Designing Customer Experiences That Actually Work
Tumblr media
Creating great customer service with AI chatbots takes more than just adding new technology. You need to carefully map out where chatbots can help customers best and where human support makes more sense. Companies that get this right see real results - just look at H&M, which cut response times by 70% while keeping customers happy by using AI chatbots strategically.
Crafting Engaging and Effective Conversations
The way your chatbot talks to customers matters a lot. Think of it like creating a conversation guide for your friendliest customer service rep. Each chat should help solve the customer's problem while staying true to your brand's personality.
Here's what makes chatbot conversations work well:
Keep it Simple: Use clear, everyday language and get to the point quickly. No one wants to wade through complex terms.
Make it Personal: Reference the customer's name or past purchases when you can. Small touches like this help the interaction feel more human.
Stay One Step Ahead: Suggest helpful next steps before customers have to ask. This shows you understand their needs.
Switch to Humans Smoothly: When a chatbot can't help anymore, connect customers to a real person without making them repeat information. Tools like Sitebot make these handoffs feel natural.
Finding the Right Balance Between Bots and Humans
AI chatbots excel at handling everyday questions and tasks. They're great at checking order status, processing returns, and walking customers through basic troubleshooting. But they can't replace human judgment and empathy.
Use chatbots for:
Always-On Support: Answer simple questions any time, day or night
Quick Responses: Handle common requests fast so humans can focus on tougher issues
Basic Information: Help customers find answers to frequent questions themselves
Save your human agents for:
Tricky Problems: Issues that need careful thinking or deeper understanding
Upset Customers: Situations where empathy and emotional support matter most
Special Cases: Handling complaints or sensitive customer concerns
When you match the right tool to each task, both chatbots and human agents can do what they do best. This creates better experiences for customers and builds trust in your brand. Plus, using platforms like Sitebot lets you track what works and what doesn't through detailed data. This helps you keep improving your customer service based on real feedback and results.
Smart Implementation Strategies for Lasting Success
Building a successful AI chatbot service goes beyond basic setup. Here's a practical guide to selecting, implementing, and growing your customer service chatbot system effectively.
Choosing the Right AI Chatbot Solution
Finding the perfect AI chatbot starts with understanding your specific business requirements. Small businesses with simple websites often do well with straightforward, ready-to-use options. In contrast, large companies managing complex support workflows need platforms offering deep customization and integration capabilities. Sitebot stands out by providing both simplicity and advanced features powered by GPT-4, making it a good fit for companies at different stages of growth.
Seamless Integration with Existing Systems
Getting the most value from your chatbot means connecting it with your current tools. When your chatbot works smoothly with your CRM, helpdesk software like Zendesk, and team communication platforms like Slack, you create a complete support system. This means better data sharing, smoother customer experiences, and easier tracking of all interactions - whether they happen with the bot or human agents.
Scaling Your AI Chatbot for Growth
Your chatbot should grow alongside your business. Look for a platform that can handle more conversations without slowing down or compromising quality. As you expand, you'll need to keep building your chatbot's knowledge and training it on new types of customer questions. This helps it stay useful as your customer base grows and their needs change. Platforms like Sitebot make this growth process easier. For more details on building a scalable chatbot, check out: How to build a chatbot GPT for your business.
Training and Maintaining Conversation Quality
Running an effective chatbot takes ongoing attention. Regular updates to its knowledge base keep it current with your latest products, services, and policies. Looking at conversation logs shows you where the chatbot needs improvement. For example, if customers often get stuck on certain types of questions, that's a clear sign you need to focus training in those areas.
Ensuring Smooth Handoffs to Human Agents
While chatbots handle many routine questions well, some situations need a human touch. Creating clear guidelines for when to transfer conversations to human agents helps maintain good customer service. Make sure your agents can easily see what was discussed with the chatbot so customers don't have to repeat themselves. When done right, these transfers feel natural and keep customers happy while making support more efficient.
Creating an Effective Human-AI Support Partnership
Tumblr media
When bringing AI chatbots into your customer service team, the focus should be on creating partnerships rather than replacements. Think of it as building a team where each member - human and AI - brings their unique strengths to serve customers better. For example, AI chatbots excel at quickly handling common questions like password resets and order tracking, which gives your human agents more time to focus on complex issues that need their expertise and emotional intelligence. This balanced approach helps both your team and your customers get the best possible results.
Training Your Team for AI Collaboration
Getting your team ready to work alongside AI requires careful planning and open communication. Start by having honest conversations about how AI chatbots will help them do their jobs better, not take them away. Show them specific examples of how handling fewer routine tasks means more time for interesting challenges and growth opportunities. Make sure everyone gets hands-on practice with platforms like Sitebot, learning exactly when and how to step in when the AI needs human backup. For more detailed guidance, check out our article on customer service training to transform your team. When agents feel confident managing these transitions, customers get smoother, more effective support.
Maintaining Employee Engagement in an AI-Driven World
It's natural for team members to worry about their roles when AI enters the picture. The key is addressing these concerns directly and showing how AI creates new opportunities. As chatbots take over repetitive tasks, agents can develop deeper product knowledge, sharpen their problem-solving abilities, and become trusted advisors to customers. This evolution of their role often leads to more job satisfaction and opens doors for career advancement. The goal is to help your team see AI as a tool that lets them focus on the most rewarding aspects of customer service.
Leveraging AI to Enhance Human Capabilities
Think of AI chatbots as powerful tools that make your human agents even better at what they do. Like having an extra set of hands, AI helps manage high volumes of basic questions while maintaining quality service standards. This frees up your team to build real connections with customers and tackle the complex issues that need human insight and empathy. AI can also give agents helpful context about customers in real-time, making it easier to offer personalized help and spot potential issues before they become problems. When humans and AI work together this way, everyone benefits - your team feels more effective, and customers get better service.
Preparing for the Next Wave of AI Support Innovation
Tumblr media
AI chatbot technology keeps getting better with each passing day. To make the most of these advancements, businesses need to stay informed and carefully evaluate which new capabilities will truly improve their customer service. This means looking beyond flashy features to focus on changes that deliver real value.
Identifying Key Trends in AI-Driven Support
The next generation of AI support is taking shape through several important developments. Natural language processing (NLP) continues to improve, helping chatbots better grasp the nuances of human conversation. Soon, these systems will pick up not just what customers say, but also what they mean and how they feel. For example, chatbots will notice when someone is frustrated and adjust their tone accordingly. They'll also get better at detecting satisfaction levels and emotions, making interactions feel more personal and helpful.
Beyond Chat: Expanding the Scope of AI in Customer Service
AI's role in customer service is growing beyond basic chat functions. New tools can study customer behavior patterns to spot potential issues before they become problems. This shift from reactive to preventive support helps keep customers happy while reducing support requests. AI is also becoming a key part of email and social media support, creating a smooth experience no matter how customers reach out.
Future-Proofing Your Support Strategy
Success requires planning ahead. Companies should invest in flexible AI chatbot platforms like Sitebot that can grow and change with customer needs. Regular updates and improvements are essential - this means tracking how well the chatbot performs, finding ways to make it better, and using customer feedback to enhance the experience. The goal is to build a system that stays effective as technology and customer expectations change.
Strategic Frameworks for Evaluation and Adaptation
To make smart choices about AI technology, companies need clear criteria for evaluation. Key factors include: how much it costs, how well it works with existing tools, and what impact it has on customer satisfaction. Ethics also matter - businesses must ensure their AI systems are fair, open, and protective of customer privacy. Taking this balanced approach helps companies improve service while maintaining customer trust.

I suppose- now with multiple cool & attractive
women reblogging specifically my reblogs of @roborosewater-masters -
that I should write a little ditty to the effect of "I really like this 'bot specifically because it, as a multimedia art toy^ producing obviously unsaleable derivative work
("magic card" is, for decidedly worse, already an un-fan-marketable category; anybody buying proxy cards with new art is going in with a gamepiece firmly in mind, and commissioning a multiply-context-dependent artwork with a specific demand for the in-imitable creative agency of the artist)
is a neat little demonstration of the ethical cohabitation of the things with an existing art market, as specifically an exploratory tool for trends, biases, and logical axioms
(the player is a rules object, individual effect texts are only given meaning beyond their logical operation by the format of the game they're in, you WILL Vote for Death Goblin^)
within that market.
Text predictors/recognizers have already established a nefarious use case in business contexts, where profit maximizing business agents who were traditionally kind of forced to pay for real creative labor (this was a good thing) can now spin up a reserve labor scab-imp out of electricity and capital-
between this; the outsourcing of massive black-box generators to facilitate this "on the DoorDash model"; the exploitation of foreign labor to train and moderate these generators; and even, understandably,
(though inadviably- that is NOT how they work and you do NOT want to give legal ammo to NFT Guys!)
artists who're afraid that Big Business has found a way to right-click and sell your art (they could already do that, it's called "the last time the original writer won a plagiarism lawsuit and recieved compensation in excess of their legal fees was in 1977"^);
I will be refraining from reblogging any generative AI work that doesn't fall into that "clearly demarcated shitpost from a homebrew LLM with a known and credited artist pool (e.g.magic card artists)" bracket.
And I'll be tagging it. "LLM" and "AI Image" should do it.

[lazy citation: txttletale for use as an art toy, death goblin joke]
[lazy citation: hbomberguy for the Brillo/Robocop/Futurecop thing]
[I DON'T count Nintendo as an individual original author- they are a corporation filing for rent on works by original artists who have frequently either quit or died. They're patent trolling right now. They sued the Yuzu guy into debt-slavery for contempt of business model. Not a meaningful proxy for indie artists.]

Aible And Google Cloud: Gen AI Models Sets Business Security
Tumblr media
Enterprise controls and generative AI for business users in real time.
Aible
With solutions for customer acquisition, churn avoidance, demand prediction, preventive maintenance, and more, Aible is a pioneer in producing business impact from AI in less than 30 days. Teams can use AI to extract company value from raw enterprise data. Previously using BigQuery’s serverless architecture to save analytics costs, Aible is now working with Google Cloud to provide users the confidence and security to create, train, and implement generative AI models on their own data.
The following important factors have surfaced as market awareness of generative AI’s potential grows:
Enabling enterprise-grade control
Businesses want to utilize their corporate data to allow new AI experiences, but they also want to make sure they have control over their data to prevent unintentional usage of it to train AI models.
Reducing and preventing hallucinations
The possibility that models may produce illogical or non-factual information is another particular danger associated with general artificial intelligence.
Empowering business users
Enabling and empowering business people to utilize gen AI models with the least amount of hassle is one of the most beneficial use cases, even if gen AI supports many enterprise use cases.
Scaling use cases for gen AI
Businesses need a method for gathering and implementing their most promising use cases at scale, as well as for establishing standardized best practices and controls.
Regarding data privacy, policy, and regulatory compliance, the majority of enterprises have a low risk tolerance. However, given its potential to drive change, they do not see postponing the deployment of Gen AI as a feasible solution to market and competitive challenges. As a consequence, Aible sought an AI strategy that would protect client data while enabling a broad range of corporate users to swiftly adapt to a fast changing environment.
In order to provide clients complete control over how their data is used and accessed while creating, training, or optimizing AI models, Aible chose to utilize Vertex AI, Google Cloud’s AI platform.
Enabling enterprise-grade controls
Because of Google Cloud’s design methodology, users don’t need to take any more steps to ensure that their data is safe from day one. Google Cloud tenant projects immediately benefit from security and privacy thanks to Google AI products and services. For example, protected customer data in Cloud Storage may be accessed and used by Vertex AI Agent Builder, Enterprise Search, and Conversation AI. Customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) can be used to further safeguard this data.
With Aible‘s Infrastructure as Code methodology, you can quickly incorporate all of Google Cloud’s advantages into your own applications. Whether you choose open models like LLama or Gemma, third-party models like Anthropic and Cohere, or Google gen AI models like Gemini, the whole experience is fully protected in the Vertex AI Model Garden.
In order to create a system that may activate third-party gen AI models without disclosing private data outside of Google Cloud, Aible additionally collaborated with its client advisory council, which consists of Fortune 100 organizations. Aible merely transmits high-level statistics on clusters which may be hidden if necessary instead of raw data to an external model. For instance, rather of transmitting raw sales data, it may communicate counts and averages depending on product or area.
This makes use of k-anonymity, a privacy approach that protects data privacy by never disclosing information about groups of people smaller than k. You may alter the default value of k; the more private the information transmission, the higher the k value. Aible makes the data transmission even more secure by changing the names of variables like “Country” to “Variable A” and values like “Italy” to “Value X” when masking is used.
Mitigating hallucination risk
It’s crucial to use grounding, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and other strategies to lessen and lower the likelihood of hallucinations while employing gen AI. Aible, a partner of Built with Google Cloud AI, offers automated analysis to support human-in-the-loop review procedures, giving human specialists the right tools that can outperform manual labor.
Using its auto-generated Information Model (IM), an explainable AI that verifies facts based on the context contained in your structured corporate data at scale and double checks gen AI replies to avoid making incorrect conclusions, is one of the main ways Aible helps eliminate hallucinations.
Hallucinations are addressed in two ways by Aible’s Information Model:
It has been shown that the IM helps lessen hallucinations by grounding gen AI models on a relevant subset of data.
To verify each fact, Aible parses through the outputs of Gen AI and compares them to millions of responses that the Information Model already knows.
This is comparable to Google Cloud’s Vertex AI grounding features, which let you link models to dependable information sources, like as your company’s papers or the Internet, to base replies in certain data sources. A fact that has been automatically verified is shown in blue with the words “If it’s blue, it’s true.” Additionally, you may examine a matching chart created only by the Information Model and verify a certain pattern or variable.
The graphic below illustrates how Aible and Google Cloud collaborate to provide an end-to-end serverless environment that prioritizes artificial intelligence. Aible can analyze datasets of any size since it leverages BigQuery to efficiently analyze and conduct serverless queries across millions of variable combinations. One Fortune 500 client of Aible and Google Cloud, for instance, was able to automatically analyze over 75 datasets, which included 150 million questions and answers with 100 million rows of data. That assessment only cost $80 in total.
Aible may also access Model Garden, which contains Gemini and other top open-source and third-party models, by using Vertex AI. This implies that Aible may use AI models that are not Google-generated while yet enjoying the advantages of extra security measures like masking and k-anonymity.
All of your feedback, reinforcement learning, and Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) data are safely stored in your Google Cloud project and are never accessed by Aible.
