Pangur's eyes are actually pretty neat, because she comes from a line of white and pointed cats that have been selectively bred to have the bluest possible eyes!

blue in eyes is caused by structural colouration, rather than pigment (aka the physical structure of the iris reflects blue)

the intensity of colour varies quite a lot. on one end of the spectrum, there are icy eyes that appear almost white

and on the other end, there are cats like Pangur's mother, Lily. her blue was so intense that it looked unreal, even in person.

with albinism, you have an inability to produce pigment, but the structural colour remains.

in cats with weak structural colour, this results in pale pinkish eyes, like those of Stoli here

and in cats like Pangur, who have been selectively bred for the bluest blue? you get violet

I have squirreled away my phone from the nurses and, while I have the opportunity, I wish to give my two cents regarding the new Heishou Pack Si Branch identities.

Many have said that they will “save rupture society,” which is lame and is a thing that slop-loving losers would say. However, to communicate my criticism, I will use that analogy as well. The Si Branch identities will not “save rupture society,” but rather, they spell the downfall of “rupture society.” Their sheer rupture count infliction is wildly high; too high. They trivialize any non-rupture resistant foe, which is most of them. Refracted Faelantern is safe, but most enemies in Limbus Company are not Refracted Faelantern. On top of the already-existing Heishou Pack Mao Branch identities, the rupture economy is shot. They go rupture tuah and destroy the delicate game balance on that thang. The Si Branch identities are yet another example of Limbus Company’s growing power creep, and the degradation of the game’s balance. They are the power creeps; their power creeps me out. They have Alexandria’s Genesis and that creeps me out. I have more to say, but I hear the nurses and the doctor coming back to my room, so I will have to end this here. TL; DR, Heishou Pack Si Branch? More like Heishou Pack Pee Branch. It is so Ruptuover.

me: Shuichi would be bad at math & in the crowd of people saying "wtf are we going to need that for?", he cares about his grades but can't push himself to do better at math, it's black magic and he just relocates the energy to things that will be useful to him. He offers her some bubble gum to help her calm down like what a lad) He might skip class down the line, but I think he'd show up to meet everyone Clown: Hopes peak, home of the best of the best, he'd definitely wanna scope em out Shuichi could have similiar reasons lowkey, forever curious, but also a little bit of trying to complete his line of thinking of "see! They're so much better then me :(" Kenny: I don't think Kokichi would find Shuichi all that interesting initially. I think it takes a while for him to realize how unique Shuichi's disposition towards him (and his lies) is/are. I kinda like the idea that Shuichi keeps his hat most of the first semester, at least. Even though he's got support in the form of Kaede and Kaito and stuff, I don't think he'd break out of his shell that quickly. It did take Kaede actually dying to give him the resolve. He seems like the type to stay passive until he finds himself growing more comfortable with everything. Clown: Yes, without something as turbulent as a killing game, which was the jumping off point of a lot of these relationships. Everything would take a lot longer to develope! Or they'd develope differently I like to think it takes a lot longer for Kaito and shuichi to become close too! Considering one of kaitos main reasons for approaching him is because of the aftermath of kaedes wish, fulfilling his own self imposed duty on carrying that on, it's a little different without it It takes a bit longer but maybe it'd be a little more genuine as a result Kenny: I do think Kokichi falls hard and fast for the detective once he catches his eye. It's exponential Once he notices him, he really fucking notices Clown: Without the whole worrying about dying thing do you think he'd actually pursue anything with shuichi??? Or would he keep his distance regardless?? Kenny: I think he'd pursue him but in the subtle "haha jk…unless [eyes emoji]" way that he always is Going by his Love Suite and FTE 5, he has the capacity to be very bold and forward with his intentions. It's up to Shuichi to interpret them correctly, or else he'll back off/back track His attempts might get bolder as things go on. If Shuichi clearly reciprocates, then I see him continuing his flirting and games until they get their shit together and become official. If Shuichi stays as dense as a rock, then I think Kokichi would slow his advances, but not completely give up. I feel like he'd stop if Shu got into a relationship with someone else (to which Kokichi would loudly complain to DICE or Miu or someone about his heart break and one-sided affliction) or if Shuichi out right rejected him The biggest wedge that would come between them and their potential relationship would just be their lack of freetime. Shuichi is good ol' mister reliable for finding lost stuff and Kokichi is a leader who has nine kids subordinates he needs to organize. Both of them have to hone their skills to keep their enrollment at HPA. Plus normal studies(?). It's hard to catch each other free outside of class events or semester breaks

me: Hot take but I think Kokichi only skips when the duty calls/ with classmates (once they manage to befriend him)/ he has no choice but to take the sick leave/ he gets hyperfixated on a personal project and forgets about the world until he's done but that's totally part of the job too, he'll figure out how is that supposed to be useful to DICE later, but the point is - he's a nerd, he takes great care to have notes for everything and is in competition with Kaito and Miu for best grades in math (mostly with Kaito, Miu just accidentaly destroys them both when she bothers to show up, they think she's rubbing it in when she boasts about getting a 100% again, but if she was aware of the competition she'd be actually so much worse) He's also competing with Kaito in languages, but there are some wildcards among the rest of the class Kenny: Would Kaito need to study languages for Astronaut training, or does he do it for fun? Kirumi definitely beats everyone at home ec me: I don't remember if he mentions it or if it's a hc I absorbed along the way but for training Ves: he says in his FTEs he knows russian and english from astronaut training, yes Keroro: Kiyo would 100% demolish everyone in social studies and I think Gonta would be rly good at biology me: Kokichi is trying to distract Kiyo with the conlang they're making so he can copy his literary analysis, but it's not working, Kiyo would help him with it if he got over himself and asked like a normal person, alas. Gonta is his study buddy sometimes, while Gonta helps him with biology, he can help him with languages and actually when it comes to physics and chemistry it'd be a mixed bag depending on the current topic because they're both nerds but for specific stuff, so it's mutual aid. Miu is at the top of the class for physics tho, even with her terrible attendance (she's basically always in her lab, so she gets away with skipping more than others, sometimes even when somebody comes to drag her to class they decide it's better to send her to rest, or to let her be unless they want to get one of her tools to the head) Kaede is the true "only good at arts", organizing study groups because she needs them, ends up being a mostly Bs student, but puts a lot of work into it, and those results are pulled up by grades for group works and extras like making presentations for an A? She always takes the chance Angie probably doesn't care much for classes, but her attendance isn't too bad, she's there just to hang out with friends, she can occasionally get invested in a topic and put in some effort, but it's rare, maybe she liked a book they had to read or took interest in a specific historic event, but that's the extent of it Rantaro being actually Not That Good at geography, why would he need to memorize all of the placements of resources or anything from the urban chapters for that matter, he doesn't care Kenny: Shuichi feels like a very stable mostly -A's, with the occasional B minus Himiko is s t r u g g l i n g Keroro: I feel like Tenko would try to help Himiko but actually not be of much help [I didn't say it then for some reason, but I believe from the bottom of my heart that Tenko would struggle more so than Himiko, so is so unmedicated ADHD it's not even funny, including her in group study sessions actively worsens everyone else's focus, she cannot keep her ass sat, if this was a normal school with homework she wouldn't be passing]
