What did/do you like about Pharah?

Uh, gameplay-wise, I really love characters in shooters who rely on three-dimensional movement techs. Chaining together hover and jump to stay in the air for as long as possible and keep momentum is so satisfying, and picking enemies off from the sky made me feel like a bird of prey. I was a good Pharah main.

Story-wise, there unfortunately isn't much to canonically go off because Pharah is so underutilized and neglected. Her personality's pretty boilerplate "heroic hero" (she's literally inspired by Captain America).

But it's the crumbs/bits and pieces that I really latched onto. Pharah's a confirmed lesbian; her short story with Baptiste implies she harbors a crush on Mercy (fucking thank you.). She's biracial Egyptian/First Nations. She has major mommy issues, having grown up both admiring and resenting Ana. She's the bridge between Old Overwatch, inspired by the idealized heroes who surrounded her childhood, and New Overwatch. She's one of the only inter-generational characters in the cast; someone whose experiences span the gap, which is why I seriously believe Pharah would make a great main character.

There isn't much to go off of, though; she's a very uncomplicated character (she's a soldier for a private military corporation, lol.). But that just means she's a blank slate character, so I've seen fanfic writers run wild and create some really interesting takes on her. My favorite interpretation of her's a dense, herbo gym-bro type (a lot of her liens are about work outs, exercising, and playing sports) who's easily excitable under her seemingly self-serious, armored visage. We see how she tends to gloat and hype herself up when she's on a streak too, so Pharah definitely has a competitive and boastful side under her more professional and militant performance.

Now Mercy? Mercy is a real complex character.

The most damning thing I can say about the daredevil reboot is that I watched one of my favorite characters get tragically gunned down in front of his best friends and felt absolutely nothing besides vague bemusement.

My meal worm farm setup (for chicken treats). Super easy, takes a few minutes of maintenance in the morning and a slightly more involved one every few months (still only takes a hour).

Has a drawer for pupae, one for beetles, and the rest for various stages of meal worms plus one extra to sift frass (poop) into. Other equipment is a stainless steel colander for sifting and a plastic spoon for transferring pupae and beetles to their new drawers.

I use either bread crumbs or rolled oats for bedding/dry food and carrots or cabbage leaves for moist food. Sometimes they get other stuff, but that's mostly it. Started by ordering a 5000ct pkg by mail and fed out at least half of that while the cycle got started.

The chickens get a "happy hour" on Fridays where they get a half handful of adult worms. They also get all the debris and any dead beetles (crunchy!) when I do the major maintenance.

I keep this setup in what functions as a mudroom for me because it's right next to the kitchen (I do the daily maintenance while waiting for the breakfast skillet to heat) and also so that I don't have to hear them constantly. It's a pretty loud dry rustling/chewing sound--okay periodically but continuously would drive me batty.

In addition to chicken treats, I also get significant amounts of frass:

Frass is an excellent plant fertilizer, like most manures. High in nitrogen. I use it in my soil mixes and sprinkle it into the containers that I grow peppermint in to help with leaf production.

Anyway, was just starting on my big maintenance (which is why there's so many worms in the beetle drawer and very little bedding) and thought I'd share.

I am breaking through my artblock with the force of a thousand suns because Kissy Missy is coming back in chapter 3 of Poppy Playtime and that's all I needed to see in the trailer tbh-

(I've said this before but to avoid possible drama, I'm aware the devs have made some pretty bad decisions in the past. The only thing I know for sure happened was the NFT situation. I'm not 100% sure of what drama actually happened since I've heard a bunch of stuff online, but this is case all I know is - with the NFT situation - they said sorry and haven't done them since. I do genuinely love this game and the character designs but otherwise I do not condone any past behaviour from the devs)

Noticing that TV and film will often have a character either have had an abortion in the past that isn't showcased on screen (and just used as part of the character's ~fucked up and twisted backstory~) OR contemplate getting an abortion in the present day but not to through with it. Just once I want to see someone delete that fetus within the events of the plot and not be like. Extremely majorly punished for it and/or be in the wrong

Skyrim NPCs seemed kind of bland to me at first but the more I play and the more characters I meet, the more I love them all??? this game slaps and I am once more partaking in that thing where I show up 15 years late to something and go 'wow this is great, why is nobody talking about this???'
