Garden update today :)
We had some more gloomy wet weather so unfortunatly some chores and errands fell through and I'm a little behind on some maintenance as well as seed uppotting
Sadly I don't think any of my peppers are going to grow. A few of the tomatoes have sprouted so there is at least that. Unfortunatly i dont think they will be ready for transplanting by valentines day. They'll be a little behind anyways.
Here's the cabbages now~
I'm very excited to see these growing so well this season :D they are transplanted and these 4 are the survivers so far.
The carrots (don't mind the weeds, I'll be yanking them as soon as I catch up, as long as I get them before seed they make excellent salads for the chickens)
The nasturtium, there's some flowers tucked up inside them, a few yellows this season, not to many red or orange so far.
The broccoli and a close up of one that seems to be growing multiple little florets now :D
The lentils I put in the L bed are starting to sprout now too :) I think this upcoming season I may plant cucumbers or melons of some sort.
And a bit excited, a lil garlic peice is starting to peek through!!
Oh! I also saw 2 of the wild love parrots this morning in one of the neighbors' trees!!! I have no choice but to always have sunflowers growing and will need to accommodate some grow space for them now 😂 their pretty rarely sighted in the area im at so I am super stoked to see them.
hopefully, they are able to find enough food to hang out for more than flying through, and that people get to see why having green spaces in cities is important to more than just human benefit.
That's it for now :)
🌱🌻Happy homesteading and gardening 🌻🌱

Château Julia
Château Julia
Haut-Medoc
Bordeaux, France
2018
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot
Château Julia is not like other wines. The winemaker decided – against the trend in Médoc, where there is a preference for Cabernets – to make wines predominantly of Merlot. This means a Bordeaux that is more plum and cherry driven with less tannins, yum.
Sophie employs traditional, small-scale winemaking methods: the grapes are sorted on the vine, picked by hand and the wine produced plot by plot to get the very best from the vines. The grapes for this red are grown on a mixture of clay and limestone, harvested by hand and then aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
Her two vineyards have been in her family for four generations. Unlike her forebearers who sent their grapes to a wine-making cooperative, Sophie has chosen to make her own wines, under her own name, at Château Julia - Julia is a contract of her children's first names: Julie and Lucas.
Expressive, fruity, full bodied red, powerful yet elegant. Medium tannins and high acidity.
Tasting notes: dark fruits, blackberry, cassis, violets, chocolate
Pairing: beef, lamb, game

The Club.
Though long rumored, the yearly club meeting was not publicly confirmed until a fire broke out during the gathering twelve years ago, requiring the attendance of emergency personal.
Word got out and a few prominent attendees, with permission of the club, revealed its existence through planned statements, but the location and date has remained a secret to anyone not invited.
It’s the biggest ticket imaginable for those choosing a life of crime; a remote gathering of the world’s wealthiest and most influential people, purposefully cut off from the rest of society. But recent reports of a map have surfaced, and it’s only a matter of time till someone tries to get the score of a lifetime.
The question isn’t if it will happen, but if we’ll ever hear about it when it does.
