I'm curious about "Twiquillin" :D

Hell yea this one's a twofer!

The first image is the first sketch back in may2023 that I never finished. The second image is from this (like its a part of the whole file) but was never included in the post lol.

This one's related to Tekoha's section of the au and is an idea where, instead of Tekoha getting involved it's his son, Tefke!

We know that those from the light realm don't do too well when exposed to twili magic (losing their corporeal form completely). But we also know the triforce protects its host from this by turning them into a form that can handle the magic (wolflink). Question is, how does the light realm effect twili and would the triforce do the same for Tefke if he inherited it from his father?

So the idea was, since Tefke is the most likely of the twins to inherit the triforce, he would also be more likely to encounter the main group and be unprepared for the effects of the light realm. His beastform I made is inspired by the Qillin, but I changed it a little bit recently to have a more bird-like face, less fur, and changed his horns.

Of course, I am still working on the TP section of my au. I have the main conflict figured out but I like to consider all the options before solidifying everything. This concept was before all that and only when I had a basic idea of tekoha's family.

Do the Derision discussion got me thinking, and it's put another tick on my 'TA is actually a Libertarian' chalkboard.

Why? It's how he handles Trauma in general. Trauma is treated (Felix, Adrien, Marinette, Zoe, Chloé) as an *excuse* not as an actual condition. It only comes up when convenient to be accepted or rejected. This is a very Conservative/Libertarian take on it.

'All these fake new disabilities, ADHD is just an excuse'

'Systemic racism doesn't exist, it's just an excuse'

It is baked into the fact that 'trying' also always leads to success. The only person who didn't succeed 'didn't try.' I wouldn't be surprised if Tomoé berated some blind person who didn't sword fight for 'not trying'.

One or two might be quirks, but coupled with everything else in S5, it's a baked in philosophy.

Always remember: Even in Qillin, Sabine paid the fine. (Mari did with Sabine's money) because there might ne a bad apple or two, but the *system* is never at fault.

Libertarians have to have ultimate faith in systems. They may espouse minimalist systems, but those systems are held together with make believe. They don't hold up if given even basic critical scruitiny.

So on one hand I don't /really/ want to speculate on an irl person's political beliefs.

However.

We've all kinda dealt with that kind of person and... yeah it's.

Yeah the trauma is used to excuse shitty actions, but only when it's in a 'good victim' way. Where something like Marinette's toxic obsessive 'love' is a good trauma reaction, but Chloé lashing out at people is a bad trauma reaction. Marinette tried and overcame her issues, Chloé didn't overcome them immediately so she must not really be trying.

Fantastic Beasts the Secrets of Dumbledore is a movie I would never watch again. It was bad. It was like a nightmare with a long and confusing (not to mention kinda uninteresting) storyline and an unsatisfactory pay-off.

That's actually sad because you got all these talented people as cast members. You got Eddie Redmayne, you got Jude Law, you got Mads Mikkelse for Christ sake! They had a pretty decent (at parts good) set of lines, some very intriguing parts, and music by James Newton Howard. And yet, it all went to the dumpster because the story was....

I think they shouldn't have included Dumbledore at all from the beginning. It really confused the story. It became less and less about Newt and friends going on adventures rescuing and researching fantastical beasts, which going by the franchise's title alone, should've been its whole focus. Instead, it switched to "Dumbledore needs to sort his shit out" and Newt happens to be there.

That doesn't mean I object a Dumbledore movie series/show. I LOVE Dumbledore. He's a very "colorful" figure hidden beneath a mask of innocent whimsicality. I'd love to see his story on-screen. On the other hand, I too want Newt's journey as a magizoologist to be explored. It's just that I prefer them not to be... intertwined.

Note:

One of the best things about this movie was Mads Mikkelsen. I couldn't have asked for a better Grindelwald. He's intelligent, he's manipulative, he's VERY sadistic, and with actual clear goals. He's probably my favorite in that movie.

From a writing perspective, I think the Qillin should have chosen Jacob at the end. They actually had a pretty good build-up for this. But, I kinda get that it might spark some debates among the fans. A safer choice would've been Newt, though that's still not quite satisfying.

- Set far into the future. Wwww, all of this will happen after the traveller is done with Teyvat and they convince Zhongli to explore other worlds. Malleus is also the crowned King. -

"Hmm." Malleus poured himself a cup of tea, blinking as he stared at the person gracefully sitting in from of him.

Amber colored eyes, that is lined with red liner also stares at the fae's emerald ones.

"Pardon my intrusion," came a smooth voice from this foreign man, deep and exuding of wisdom.

Much like the King of the Valley of thorns, himself.

"Where am I?" The man asked, straight to the point.

"In Briar Valley, though I'm afraid you're unfamiliar with this place," Malleus replied as he also poured the guest some tea.

Something about this man, wearing what looks to be an Eastern suit of some sort, is familiar to Malleus.

"Ah," the foreign man exclaimed as he extended his hand, which surprised Malleus. This amused the fae greatly, what a refreshing sight for someone to befriend him.

"I go by the name of Zhongli."

"My name is Malleus Draconia," He replied, voice a deeper timbre.

"You're a dragon, I see." Zhongli gave a gentle smile as he overlooked the eerie Palace.

Everything is tinted with the colours of green and black. Much like the Geo itself, who's colors are brown and gold.

"Indeed, I am." Malleus chuckled at the end, apparently amused. "Though I suspect you're a creature like me too."

Zhongli laugh, a deep sound coming from him, "Perhaps I can show you my horns?" On cue after he said that, the tip of his brown hair let out a golden glow. The top of his head shining, until everything is engulfed in what Malleus can only describe as 'earthen energy'. The King of Faes watched as two earthly brown horns protrude from Zhongli's head.

Malleus stared, narrowing his eyes, "So you are a dragon of Eastern descent?" His fangs dancing on every word.

Zhongli let out a hum, "Though I am not sure what you're saying Malleus, but indeed I am qillin and a dragon."

Malleus took a sip of his tea, "How did you stumble upon this place? Though I suspect you possess powers only a creature like us can have."

Zhongli reply, his voice deep, "I used the portal a traveler friend of mine gave me."

"This place, feels the sentiment of every being that lives here, though I cannot help but see, how the people always rely in magic." Zhongli finished as he chuckled.

"Indeed they do rely on magic, for everything here is controlled by such unexplainable force," Malleus replied.

"Hmm, much like how some of the citizens of Liyue rely on visions..." He muttered.

A chime of the clock can be heard, and Zhongli stands up, gracefully giving a court nod to the King of the Briar Valley.

Ah, it is time.

"From one ruler to another, you have my respect Malleus. I shall see you again, friend."

Malleus widened his eyes. Friend...

Zhongli gave him a small smile before disappearing in a flash of gold, and amber light.

Just like that, the foreign visitor is gone.

"Hmmm," Malleus mutters to himself, "Where is this Liyue, Zhongli speaks off?"

As soon as you met Yae, she could tell you had some sort of ability. She could sense it within you, so when you told her that you can hear all of Inazuma at once, she wasn’t that surprised. She had heard about people having good hearing from Kazuha, but not on the level you had.

“Thats quite amazing, perhaps we could try it out some time” Yae had told you after you confessed about your power. The way she called it amazing frustrated you. You had explained to her how your ability isn’t some sort of crazy amazing power and how it can be more of a hindrance than a help at most times.

“I still think your ability is quite unique, you don’t see that much anymore these days” she had told you. You couldn’t really argue with that, but you supposed that some of that could be true in some way.

Ganyu is a very calm qillin. She herself has abilities from the adepti, but is also half human, so the idea of humans having otherworldly powers was possible to her, but she didn’t expect you had one of said abilities.

“So you’re telling me that… your emotions control weather? Is that why it’s been so sunny and warm lately? Thank you!” She said politely and nicely, but the way she said it made you think that she was happy you had that power

“Its not that nice of a power, its really stressful.” You said to her and clouds started gathering around. She took notice of all the clouds and immediately apologized profusely

“Im sorry, so sorry! I didn’t know it was a hard subject for you, but I really admire your abilities..” she said quickly to you, afraid to make you upset.

“Its okay, it can just be a little difficult sometimes.”

Ei had heard of your powers through talk on the streets. She didn’t notice a vision on your figure, so she was uncertain how you were able to obtain such powers that were discussed in what she heard. The things she heard made you seem like some sort of blessing for celestia itself, which made Ei suspicious, so she seeked you out, looking for answers for the wild rumors on the streets.

Once she had found you, you were controlling the wind to help get somebodies kitten out of the tree for a poor old lady who had been relying on you to help her.

As soon as you helped the old lady and she had left with her kitten, Ei spoke to you, asking of your “abilities” and how it was even possible.

“What are your… powers. I heard you are capable of doing some amazing things. Care to explain?” She asked you, you stood there flabbergasted.

“Its not really amazing when you have everybody relying on you to save the day or to do something for them. It can get hard at times.” You informed her, hoping she’d understand what you meant. She is a god after all.

“That telling is all too familiar. I apologize.” She said calmly. “I still see your abilities as an interesting phenomenon. You are human, so how much can you take?” She said rather rhetorically.

“Well, no matter. Thank you for your time.” She had told you before walking away, not forcing you to speak any further.
