its just me and the never-ending, all-consuming rabbit hole that is deciding which angel i headcanon crowley to be before she fell
right now im loving the idea of some angels not existing at all and most of their traits are tansfered to one angel instead so i see crowley as raphael, seraphiel, and jophiel
AND
AND AND AND AND AND
JOPHIEL WAS HIS ANGEL NAME.
ANTHONY J CROWLEY
AND HE SAYS THAT THE J DOESNT STAND FOR ANYTHING BC IT HURTS HIM TOO MUCH TO HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT
BECAUSE IT HURTS HIM TOO MUCH TO HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT
not you breaking my heart again on this fine November day 😭😭😭
Okay but like, all those possibilities! It's so difficult to stick to just one, right?? I've seen so many angel!Crowley headcanons over the last few years, some super detailed too, some really really really convincing - and the truth is, I just can't make up my mind xD
I'm pretty sure Neil will never ever confirm any of those headcanons, either - unless, of course, he plans to reveal Crowley's former angel name in a possible season 3? Like, it doesn't seem very likely but it could happen, right??
Personally, I like the Jophiel headcanon just as much as the next person 💖 The fact that it would fit the infamous "J" is really enticing, I must admit :P After watching s2 though, I'm mostly wondering if Aziraphale ever knew Crowley's angel name in the first place tbh. We see Aziraphale introduce himself when they first meet, but Crowley/Star-maker doesn't reciprocate (too busy being awestruck by his beloved stars 💖), and we don't really know how long it was before he went and Asked his Questions and was cast out as a result, nor if he ever got to interact with Aziraphale again before that happened. fjsgdjskssk I don't know, there are so many blank spaces here, and so many things could have happened in between!!!
All I can say is, out of all the headcanons out there, like the ones that posit Crowley as former Raphael, or just him as a very powerful archangel in general, etc, I tend to prefer the ones where he was just. Just an angel, you know? Not particularly renowned, not amongst the "big names", you know, God's "favourites" like Gabriel or Michael or Lucifer or whatever, just… just your average angel, who happened to be curious, and creative, and caring, and sweet, and wanted to watch his stars and nebulas grow and develop into their full potential 💖
If I'm being really, really, really super honest though, I keep thinking that… this might be the one mystery I wouldn't mind leaving alone. I'm only speaking for myself, of course, I can't stress that enough! But… does it- I mean, does it really matter who Crowley used to be? It doesn't change who he is now, nor how much he is loved - loved for who he is, a tender-hearted demon, or I guess a "former" demon, since Hell's pretty much disowned him at this point.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, it doesn't make any difference to me whether or not his former name (would it be appropriate to call it a deadname?) is ever revealed. He's Crowley, a demon who only goes along with Hell as far as he can, who cares so much and loves so deeply, and that means everything to me already 💕💕💕

A little rain in every life must fall
****Trigger warning, themes of depression, suicide and death****
Tumblr media
-Derek Dagda
Alex was dead…their best friend … their love. The humming sound of the electronic heart monitor was all Derek could hear. Even the sound of their own voice didn’t register. They failed their mission. Alex’s heart had stopped ,they stopped breathing and some distant part of Derek understood that the hospital would not be resuscitating them. Time seamed to freeze for him. A thought bubbled in Derek’s mind. seven minutes , a bit of trivia. Seven minutes was how long a human being could go without a pules without breathing before catastrophic brain damage. If he started CPR right now, would it matter, if the hospital refused to resuscitate Alexander? ,Derek thought. They had used the power of friendship ,of love .Derek had felt Alex’s family and friends pour themselves in him to bring Alex back and it hadn’t worked. If love didn’t work how about spite Derek though defiantly. If Alex could not rage against the dying of the light, Derek would do it for them. He didn’t have a plan not really, and moved and act purely from instinct. Cortana his Aegislash acted in concert. Derek is a Spirit Harmonizer, a person whose life-force is powerful enough and controlled enough to bond with a Ghost pokemon and unlock their greatest potential. Cortana was forged by Wayland the Smith. Ancient and powerful like its sibling blades, each a work of art by a master craftsman. Each unique unlike any other. Cortana was said to be able to cut through anything. Derek did not know if that was true ,Part of him wondered if he could cut away Alexander’s death. However, Cortana was made they were different. Tied to more power then just cold steel and frightening, phantasmic force … green growth and warmth was part of them too. So as one Derek and Cortana began to melted together. life in exchange for power overflowing filled the room with green and orange and violet light. Like charged neon bleeding into open air. Sera had joined him. Derek saw her standing beside Alexander bed ,skin glowing luminous white, speaking words that hurt Derek to listen to. Her Unown Mystery, and X beside her, in a broiling aura of blue light. Was it magic? Was it Psionics ? Was it both? he didn’t care. Alexandria ( @alex-ishvan ) appeared on the other side of Alex’s bed. Her body had become the space between the stars, fire raging from her form. Derek could hear the distinct sound of stones cracking. Derek didn’t care what they did so long as they didn’t get in his way. Hopefully no one would be curious enough to interfere. He didn’t know what would happen if someone got in the way of the power they were going to unleash into Alex.
Derek poured growth and death and fire and steel into Alexander. Understood that Alexandria and Sera did the same with their own Tidal waves of power. A Near deafening roar filled the the room as light near blinded him. was somebody on top of Alex? was somebody singing? why had no one from the hospital come into the room yet? Derek didn’t care. Together they had seven minutes to pour power into the void Alexander had became and hoped it would make a difference.

Tumblr media
Darkness , hollow, and eternal. An ending. The shadow was gone and Alexander was tired. They had went somewhere ,been brought back somewhere and it was over. They had become only the part of themselves that have been unmoored that day all those years ago. So young and empty, and Alexander only yearned for it to be over. People had come. Alexander distantly recognized… thought someone had come before as well. That this story had been different before but it was over. Alex wanted only to be darkness hollow and Eternal. But the fragment Alexander had became wondered ,if this place was darkness, hollow and eternal why did they hear cracking? Like crunching glass. Were their voice here? We’re other coming? Coming to this nowhere place. Darkness shattered splintering apart and in doing so pulling what was left of Alexander’s towards it.
Tumblr media
A familiar presence filled the nowhere place that Alexander had come to inhabit. Six to be precise ,each a beauty that seam to accentuate why Alexander only wanted an ending. It made the shattered bit left of Alexander recoil. They would prefer the shadow be back anything then their final moment be this visage of dead friends. Why were they here ?wasn’t Alexander’s failure enough to go out with.
The brown haired man , whose scared face smiled spoke with a mature, honeyed voice “Oh sweetness, you’ve had such a bad time haven’t you?”
Alex couldn’t respond they only wanted oblivion. But the six that came from the darkness surrounded them. They want Alexander’s attention , the six were speaking . Alex tried not to listen, tried to fall deeper into darkness, but their voices still laced through them in bits and pieces. The hate ,the vitriol, the disappointment they had expected to hear … didn’t come. The voices only asked how Alexander was, if they were ok. TheyHeard Destiny, Hessa , Andromeda ,Emmanuel ,Margaret and drawing closer Antonio… if Alexander hadn’t known better thought they sounded concerned.
“ hey you why don’t you coming back” Andromeda spoke
“ come on man, I haven’t seen you in how long and you can’t be bothered to talk back” Emmanuel jabbed
“ Honey why don’t you speak to us we’ve missed you?” Margaret asked
Each voice seamed to bring forth more of Alexander a bleeding shard at a time.
“ heeeeey yooou” Hessa said playfully
“Will you hurry up we don’t have all day Alex” Destiny demanded.
“ Destiny!” Antonio said trying to sound reproachful but Alexander could hear his barely held back chuckle. More shard of themself were racing towards them know. More awareness. Antonio was so close now Alexander though “ oh, Sweetness, how sad you have been but Destiny is right, we don’t have much time” as he spoke he brought a broad hand to Alexander’s young face. “ this isn’t you anymore.” Antonio spoke with some thing like contentment in his voice. With that touch with those words the last piece of Alexander that had been missing since they fell to nothing seem to fall into place.
Tumblr media
Alexander was whole. “ there you are Sweetness!” Antonio said joy filling his voice. “ hi everyone “ Alexander responded voice, cracking with joy and grief and surprise. They all rushed to Alexander crying and hugging and asking questions about their life and family and new look. “ I always told you you had a lovely hair.” Antonio sad” it looks so nice grown out”.
“ I finally started listening to Andromeda’s hair advice.” She slapped Alexander’s back as they all laughed. “It’s so great to see all of you. I’ve miss you all so much, but…oh” they stoped talking ,awareness flooding Alexander. “Your… all…Dead” Alexander searched their faces, then seem to frantically search for anything. They were nowhere. “ I’m dead aren’t I ?” Alexander asked.
Destiny was the first to speak. “Not sure my bet is yes” she said, shrugging her shoulders.
“Destiny” Margaret scolded at her “ but the invitation we got, I don’t think we would’ve been able to come to this” Margaret gestured around her” place if you weren’t”
“ invitation? I didn’t invite anyone here I’m still not 100% what here is.” Alexander said.
“Sera invited us” Andromeda answered “ and your friends, Topside tried to bring you back”
“ back , back from” Alexander pause “oooooooooooooo” Alexander could not keep the grimace from their face at the realization that their own rash actions have led to this. Alexander never regretted more having such an expressive face, all six of them stare daggers at them. “ what about Nimbus!?” They asked alarmed.
“Well they’re not here so I would take that as a good sign” Destiny said. There was a pause from Alexander “ i mean… as long as Nimbus is ok I guess this wasn’t the worst why to go, if means I’ll get to be with all of you guys” Alex sighed “ it weird… I’ve been tired for so long now “ Alex sighed again more resigned “I’m ready , I know all of them” Alex gesture vaguely upward “ they’ll be fine”
“ no Alex they won’t” Antonio said.
Alex stared at Antonio for what seamed like long moments. “What do you mean?” Alexander asked with more intensity than the six had been used to. “Alex, things … thing are coming , forces in the world are shifting and their are battles yet to come” Antonio said “ you need to be there , your freinds will need you to be there when what come reaches them”
“ how do you know any of this?” Alexander asked “ things aren’t” Antonio paused searching for the word “linear where we were Sweetness but we know that it’s true. I may not know exactly what’s comeing or if it’s the only threat but we do know that you are needed. there are still fights to be had ,battles to be won.”
“ I’m tired Antonio, haven’t I fought enough. even if I had the strength to do so. I don’t know how to leave this place I’m not the only person who can fight these battles. There are other people like me.”
“Like your siblings, Jordan, Ariadne, and Mika and their kids ,that’s who you want to fight these battles?” Antonio asked.
“ Never!” Alexander retorted “ then you want Sara or Derek to face what’s coming” Antonio confronted ”or your new friends .Alex, Sweetness I know you’re tired and I know you’ve been brave for so long but you still need to be brave, there are things still to be done” Antonio was holding Alexander’s face now wiping away the tears that traced their cheekbones “ besides sweetness there are good things to go back to your Pokémon, your friends, your family and Derek” Alexander almost flinched at that last one Antonio spoke. Antonio only smiled. “ it’s not such a bad thing to want to go back for him.”
Alexander gestured around them. “There’s nowhere for me to go and even if there was… I’m so tired Antonio, I don’t have the strength to go anywhere” Alex spoke through voice breaking.
Antonio smiled “Sweetness. Why do you think we’re here? Why do you think your friends came here?” he held out a ball of light that wasn’t there before iridescent and lovely.” your friends dropped this when they got yanked out when your heart stopped. It is strength Alexander and it’s yours now.”
Alexander held the light in their hands. Felt and watched that lovely light drain into them , they had never experienced this kind of energy before. It was dense , and warm and alive. Alexander wondered how long they could hold this power , it wanted to be used and soon.
The six smiled at Alexander “ will be helping you to” Antonio said . a little exasperated but no longer tired. Alexander asked.” how what am I supposed to go? What am I supposed to do?”
Destiny was the one to answer “ well if I had to guess” she pointed somewhere far behind Alexander and for the first time since becoming aware of this place noticed the light in the distance.
Tumblr media
“ in a reversal of clichés Alex, I think in this situation it would be appropriate for you to head towards the light and soon” destiny finished
“What even is that?” Alexander wondered aloud .They thought it looked as though someone had dropped a star in the distance. To illuminate the nowhere place, they now resided. “ it’s your friend Sweetness, and Destiny is right you need to go now” Alexander for the first time noticed the alarm and all the voices. “ what do you mean? Can’t I talk to you guys for a little longer? It’s been so long I know I would love to bring Messages back if I’m going. What does it matter if I leave now or later can it wait a little?” There was something like pain in all of their expressions. “ Alex, you’re dead you’ve been dead for five minutes now , we all would love to talk to you and give you messages for our family but you need to go right now the window of opportunity for you to go back is closing” Alexander looked at the star on the horizon, measure the distance in their mind “ I’ll never make that! I’m not fast enough I will I’ll never make it!” Panic filled them.
“ Not unless you start running right now Alex NOW RUN!! , we’re right behind you!” shoving Alexander forward. Alexander began to run they didn’t know if the strength of friends had given them would be enough. even with the unnatural speed at which they ran, it did not seem like they would reach the sun quick enough.
Tumblr media
“ hurry up slow poke!” destiny yelled, shoving Alexander forward and rocketing them closer to the light.
“ lightspeed dude” Emmanuel said, right behind them as Alexander was again rocketed forward.
“ faster, Alexander” Andromeda yelled and Alexander found themself again blasting forward towards the light.
“ don’t stop honey run harder” Margaret yelled to them and again they were launched forward drawing closer and closer to the horizon. Alexander felt them self wheezing in their unreal body and thought Seriously I’m getting out of breath while being dead.
“ don’t you dare slow down”Hessa roared at them. Alexander almost tripped when she shoved them forward towards the light. it was growing so close now, but something told Alexander that they were running out of time. Then Antonio spoke. “goodbye Sweetness I love you” with one final earth shattering shove Alexander reached the light.
-Derek Dagda
Derek had been thrown across the room. Making a roughly him shaped hole in the drywall. Rousing from where he slumped on the floor he saw that Alexandria and Sera had experienced something similar. Sera at least appear to have been caught by Elisa and Lynn ( @adventures-on-foster-island ) before slamming into the adjacent wall. Alexandria was being helped back up by Rai ( @ranger-rai ) after leaving a similar hole in the other adjacent wall. What happened? He had been pouring power into the void that was Alexander. Into the abyss hoping for it to do anything in the seven minutes they had left. And then… he felt something. Something ,someone grasping at the end of that power.. and he didn’t know. He thought he felt something as best as he could discerned devour it before shoving the rest back at him. Derek looked at Alexander lying in the bed ,the monitor still hummed unchanging, but some thing else was wrong. was Alexander glowing? Their features had paled in the past weeks but Derek knew that Alexander was glowing and growing brighter. what was happening Derek could see you light beginning to shine through Alexander’s hospital gown and blankets. They were growing so blight it was hard to see. There wasn’t time to question anything as Alexander turned wholly incandescent in the hospital room. As quickly as that started, the light vanished, and as Derek struggled to clear the dark spots they had formed in their vision …they heard a sound. A electronic rhythmic beeping. And his vision cleared. He heard something beautiful.

THE UNTAMED FAN FIC: THE TANGLED HEART
Chapter 11: FOR YOU, I WOULD
“It won't work. His spiritual power is too strong. Even if he is not using it right now, its power is still beyond our reach.”
In a pitched black colossal room, a big heptagon with a human-sized circle in the center were drawn on the damp ground. Judging from the color and smell, these geometric dimensional shapes were created using human’s blood.
A figure was on one’s knees inside the 7-edges shapes and was arranging a few things in the circle. Once the things were properly lay, the figure stood up with the right hand lifted up in the air and the wrist moved in a circular motion. The dark room suddenly got illuminated by a fire effusing through the splayed fingers. Then, the wrist flicked the fire off its finger into the circle’s perimeter. The belongings that were laid down there caught up in flames. During the process, the formation glowed red light just faintly before it fused, leaving the room pitch-blacked once again.
The same voice reverberated throughout the dark a second time. “I’ve told you. He was too strong. It won’t work this way.”
“Damn it! Why?! Despite the same dominant's blood running through our veins, why does he have to be better than me in everything? I won’t accept this.” The figure stood in the heptagon clenched the fists so tight that nails started to dig into the flesh, causing blood to trickle down the closed palm. “Since this way doesn’t work, I will need to use another way.”
"How?"
"If he is too strong as a whole, then I'll just have to break him into pieces."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the three Lans and Wei Wuxian mounted off their swords in front of Lotus Pier, Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng were already there waiting for them at the entrance. Jin Ling was standing with his arms behind his back looking serious whereas Jiang Cheng stood beside him with his arm folded along with an expression that said I-am-so-wanting-to-kill-somebody.
Since Sizhui couldn’t use his spiritual energy, he had to ride with Jingyi. Given Jingyi’s limited cultivation level combined with the weighting of two people on the sword, they arrived a bit later than their seniors. So when Sizhui got off, he already saw Wei Wuxian was bear-hugging both Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng tightly despite the struggles of the two hosts.
“Urgh…stop hugging every people you meet.” Jin Ling complained when he was fortunate enough to fight his way out of the hug.
“Jin Ling, I don’t just hug anyone. I only hug those I want.” Wei Wuxian pouted at his nephew.
“Which is almost every single living things you encounter.” Jiang Cheng pushed his brother away, his expression turned even grimmer.
“Oh my dear Jiang Cheng. Why do you always have such a scary expression on your face? No wonder you still can’t find yourself a wife.” Wei Wuxian teased his brother and put on an exaggerated sad face.
“You!”
Zidian was emitting purple sparks. Before Jiang Cheng unleashed it into a full form of a whip, Wei Wuxain had already run to hide behind Lan Wangji.
The tension in the air was relieved when Sizhui walked in and gave his greetings towards the hosts. “Greeting Sect leader Jiang. Greeting Sect leader Jin.” He smiled at Jin Ling when addressing him only to get back a diverted gaze in return. Did Jin Ling just avoid my eye contact? Sizhui thought. Still, it was more than suffice for Sizhui to be able to personally confirmed that Jin Ling was safe and sound.
When Zidian was no longer acting up, Wei Wuxian peeked from behind his husband’s back. “By the way Jiang Cheng, how could you kill that man? I mean, not that he doesn’t deserve to die but at least you should have given us a chance to ask him a few questions.”
“Who said I killed him?” Jiang Cheng chided.
“Well, your reputation proceeds you, you know.” Wei Wuxian muttered which caused Jiang Cheng’s eyebrows twitched in anger.
"I didn't kill him." Jiang Cheng said.
“Well, if you didn't kill him, then how did he die? Did his people come to assassinate him to prevent information leakage?”
“No.” Taken everyone by surprise, Jin Ling spoke up in an orotund voice. “I killed him.”
                                                ***
After all of them went to the dungeon to see the corpse and let both Sizhui and Jingyi confirmed the bulky man’s identity that he really was their attacker, the older generations went to the guest hall of Lotus Pier to have a discussion while the younger trio went to the pond to wait.
Inside the guest hall, the servants were bringing in snacks and teas for the three seniors. When a servant girl was placing a tea set in front of Wei Wuxian, he naughtily asked, “Hi beauty, do you have wine?”
The girl was bashful to speak when looking at Wei Wuxian’s flirty face. The act earned a clear-throat sound from Lan Wangji and a growl from Jiang Cheng. “Just ignore him and go back to your chores.” He told his servant. The girl did her curtsy and hurried out of the room with her entire face still red.
“Anyway, Jiang Cheng. Why did Jin Ling killed that man? I mean I know his temper but still, it was so unlike him to just kill the guy like that.” Wei Wuxian turned business mode.
“How do you expect me to know when that brat hasn’t told me anything yet? I am not a psychic you know.” Jiang Cheng replied with a gruff.
Like uncle, like nephew. Wei Wuxian’s mind talk to himself when he thought about Jin Ling’s and Jiang Cheng’s temper.
“Then while he was alive in your possession, did you get anything out from him?”
“No. He was unconscious the whole time until this morning.”
“He must have said something that pisses Jin Ling off badly to meet his end so soon then.”
There was a brief silence before Jiang Cheng spoke up. “That guy mentioned something about your son.”
“What? Sizhui?” Wei Wuxian was alarmed and turned to look at Lan Wangji, who changed nothing in either expression or posture. But Wei Wuxian knew his husband well enough from the look of his eyes that he too was appalling. “Well, what did he say then?” he turned to look back to his brother.
“I’d told you I didn’t know. Jin Ling asked me to let him talk alone with the man. So, I left. Then, when he came out of the dungeon, he just said that he had killed the man. What a preposterous brat. And here I’ve thought he is improving now that he becomes a Sect leader.” Jiang Cheng was livid when thinking about the situation back then.
Wei Wuxian was afraid that once Jiang Cheng was done with his anger, he would start to ask about SIzhui so he got up and grabbed Lan Zhan. “We have something urgent to take care of Jiang Cheng. See you later.” Wei Wuxian shouted his goodbye while walking out the guest hall without bothering to even look back.
Jiang Cheng was left fuming at his two blood-related people's unreasonable behaviors today.
Wei Wuxian asked his husband when they had walked passed the crowded place into quiet section in Lotus Pier. “Lan Zhan, can you play your qin to do the Inquiry? I want to know what that jackass has said about Sizhui.”
Lan Wangji shook his head. “I can’t, Wei Ying.”
“Why?”
“Jin Ling didn’t just kill him. He destroyed the soul as well.”
                                             ***
Along the way to the pond, Sizhui couldn’t help but felt that Jin Ling seemed to keep avoiding his eye contact. Even during their conversation, he would look anywhere: Sizhui’s feet, robes, hands. Except the eyes. Though he replied Sizhui’s questions and talked normally in his usual tone, Sizhui couldn’t wave off the feeling that something was off.
Jingyi, of course, noticed none of these details. He was being his talkative self, pulling pranks and making jokes. He claimed that today was the happiest day of all because first, he defeated the giant beast and earned a praise from Hanguang-Jun. Second, the man that attacked them was dead so Sizhui was no longer in danger. He kept on blabbering things the entire way. Only when they reached the pond full of lotuses did he stopped talking.
“Wow. It is beautiful." Jingyi stared at the pond with his mouth opened in amazement. They had been to Lotus Pier a few times but today the pond was full of blooming flowers. A sight that he had never seen just yet.
"Yes, it does." Sizhui was also captivated by the beautiful sight.
"Oh, I’ve heard from Senior Wei that lotus seeds in Lotus Pier are the best.” Jingyi said.
“Of course it is. It belonged to my uncle and my mother after all.” Jin Ling said proudly.
“Sizhui, do you want to try some? Senior Wei also said the freshly picked are the best of the bests.” Jingyi took off his outer robes and boots before proceeding to roll his sleeves up.
“W-What are you doing?” Jin Ling asked in astonishment when he saw Jingyi stripping.
“What do you think I am doing? Taking off my clothes of course. Do you expect me to go into the pond fully clothed?” Jingyi rolled his eyes.
Jin Ling turned his red face away.
“Jingyi, you’re not thinking of picking those lotus seeds right now, are you?” Sizhui asked.
“That’s right, Sizhui.”
“But this pond belongs to Sect Leader Jiang. You have to get his permission first or else we are breaking our Lan’s rule.”
“Rest assure Sizhui. I already got permission from Senior Wei. He also belongs to The Jiang Sect, remember?” Jingyi winked and went down to the pond. “Ow. So cold.” He murmured complain yet kept on going.
Shrugging, Sizhui turned to look at Jin Ling only to see that Jin Ling was already staring at him. But again, he quickly looked away when Sizhui’s eyes were on him. He could no longer stand this. He must find out the reason behind Jin Ling’s odd behavior.
“Sect leader Jin” Sizhui finally broke the silence. He sensed the other party’s body stiffen.
“Yeah?” a faint reply came out from Jin Ling’s mouth yet he still refused to turn his way.
“Did I do anything to offend you?” Sizhui asked.
“What make you think that?”
“Well, because you have been avoiding my eyes this whole time. So I thought you are angry with me.”
“If I were, I wouldn’t have had talked to you.”
“Then, can you tell me why you don’t look at me when we are having a conversation right now?”
Clicking his tongue, Jin Ling said. “You Lans people are so persistent. Do you really have to get an answer to every question?”
Sizhui felt a pinch in his chest. Why did it feel so painful upon hearing those words? This was a pain he had never experienced before. Sizhui went silent as he was analyzing the foreign illness that was infiltrating his heart.
When Jin Ling no longer heard Sizhui’s voice, he thought the boy wasn’t feeling assured, so he repeated again. “I really am not mad at you.”
It still didn’t put his heart at ease even with this second confirmation because Jin Ling was still looking away. He couldn’t see the expression on Jin Ling’s face at all so he had no idea if Jin Ling was telling the truth. But he accepted it anyway because at the very least, those words came from Jin Ling’s own mouth. Knowing that no one was able to see, he still put up a weak smile and said “It’s good that you are not mad then.”
Jin Ling took a deep breath. “Now that I have given answer to your question, can you also help with mine?”
“What is it that you want to know?”
“It’s about the man who attacked you.” Sizhui held his breath and waited for Jin Ling to continue. “Have you known each other before?”
Sizhui felt his hands trembling. Did he know? And this was why he had been acting strange? Sizhui thought to himself as he tried to hide his shaking hands under his sleeves and maintained his smile. “I don’t know him but I can’t say the same vice versa. His words and actions seemed to show that he has known me.”
“I see. Then…” For the first time today, Jin Ling turned to stare into Sizhui’s eyes without blinking. “Lan Sizhui, is there something else you wish to tell me?”
Sizhui’s weak smile faltered. He somehow got a glimpse of what Jin Ling was referring to. But the question still remained. Was he ready to tell?

Diiiid somebody say Adila Lives AU?
No?
I don't care.
You get one.
Clerissa honestly would have liked to have Adila as a sister-in-law based off of Jespar's descriptions. So... Take this AU and dun worry bout it
━━━━•❅•°•❈•°•❅•━━━━
"What did you tell him?"
The white-haired girl sitting in front of Clerissa was leaning forward, her arms on her legs, waiting excitedly.
The Aeterna sighed and chuckled. "I told him it was a ladies' night out. Just you and me. A chance for some sisterly bonding." Clerissa winked and sipped on her wine again.
The white-haired girl clapped her hands excitedly. "This is gonna be so much fun!" She took a deep breath. "Will we also be working on my... Condition?"
Clerissa raised an eyebrow. "Depends. Tell me how you feel."
The girl sighed. "I feel... Guilt. Anger. And I still feel allured to the Black Stone. To the power it had. And I can still feel the High Ones whispering in my head sometimes." She shuddered. "But most importantly, I keep seeing what I did. I keep... Seeing..." The girl paused, tears forming in her eyes.
"Adila," Clerissa leaned forward and put a hand on top of the girl's. Her eyes drifted to the Prophetess'. She saw only warmth and care in those deep blue eyes that it soothed her. "It's okay. We can work on it later."
Adila shook her head. "No. I want to work on it now. I want to get rid of this memory. I hate seeing it. I hate seeing his burning body and knowing that I did it. That I killed my big brother." Adila wiped her tears with her free hand. "I still remember the look on your face when I killed him. I remember seeing your heart break right then and there. The part of me that was still me, Adila Dal'Varek, cried out at the sight. I didn't even have time to think when you attacked me." Adila paused, her voice cracking on another sob.
Clerissa rubbed her thumb across her sister's hand. "It was good that you tried using the Black Stone then. Something told me that as soon as I knocked it out of your hand, there was a chance, a small chance to save you." Clerissa gave a comforting smile. "I thought that it was what I could do for him. Save his sister."
Both of them remembered the moment clear as day.
Adila, red eyes glaring at the Prophetess, roared as she pulled the Black Stone from her pocket. "Your power is great, Prophetess, but is nothing compared to this Stone!" The girl gripped the Stone in her hand, power pulsating through her body, before unleashing a dark blast towards Clerissa.
With her Aeterna grace, Clerissa just barely managed to dodge the blast and roll towards Adila. With one mighty swing of her sword, Clerissa knocked the Black Stone from the girl's hand. Adila stumbled back, the sudden lack of power bringing shock to her body. Clerissa was ready to linge forward and kill the girl when a small voice whispered in her head.
Her vision blurred and her senses tripled what they normally were as she saw Adila laying on the ground, unconscious, but safe. She saw the girl quiver from the lack of power the Black Stone was feeding her.
She saw Adila Dal'Varek redeemed.
The Prophetess' vision had returned to normal. With one look at Jespar's body, Clerissa exhaled before knocking Adila onto her side. The girl groaned, still weak without the Stone. Clerissa kicked it farther away, on the opposite side of the arena. She then kneeled down next to Adila, placing her sword down.
Clerissa placed her hands on Adila's forehead and chest. Taking a deep breath, Clerissa allowed all her knowledge of Light Magic to flow through her and into Adila, wiping away the dark influences the High Ones had forced into the Dal'Varek.
Blood trickled down Clerissa's nose and head throbbed as her Arcane Fever worsened the more she tried to heal these metaphorical wounds.
She allowed her magic to flow deep in between the corruption of the High Ones and find Adila who was crying. Clerissa knew it had to be the young girl Jespar talked so highly of. Clerissa's magic soared throughout and saved Adila's spirit.
By the time Clerissa had finished, her head was pounding and she was shivering. She pulled her hands away from Adila and watched as the girl's eyes opened slowly. Where her eyes were once red, they were now blue with a slight hinge of red. Not fully healed, but enough that Adila could come to her senses.
"How am I..." The girl looked around, confused. Her eyes landed on Clerissa and widened in fear. "What happened?!" She watched as blood flowed from Clerissa's nose.
Clerissa covered her nose with her hand. "Don't worry about it. What do you remember?" Clerissa asked the girl.
"I... I felt like I was in a dream." Adila sat up and looked around until her eyes landed on her brother. She cried out and scurried over to him. Clerissa grunted as she picked herself up and grabbed her sword, sheathing it. Her head was bursting with pain but she had no Ambrosia in her. She cursed herself for not having some.
She dragged herself over to the Dal'Vareks her heat broken as she looked down at Jespar. She fell to her knees, her Shadow Steel armor shuddering with the impact. Her hand still covered her nose and mouth, but she felt her tears mix in with her blood.
Jespar's face was looking up, his eyes closed and his mouth closed. He looked... Peaceful. Adila was sobbing, knowing what she did. "How could I?!" she cried out.
Clerissa didn't want to believe it. She reached her hand to Jespar's neck but could feel no pulse.
He was dead.
She clenched her fist on his chest and began to sob alongside his sister. She didn't hate Adila for killing him. She knew who was responsible for it. They were going to pay.
Both girls seemed to pull out of the memory at the same time. Adila blinked, and Clerissa noticed how blue her eyes were now that they were continuing their healing sessions.
"It's a good thing the Veiled Woman was there," Adila whispered. "I... I don't know what I would have done if she hadn't been there."
Clerissa sighed and leaned back in her chair, sipping on her wine. "I know what I would have done."
Adila looked at her sister-in-law with curious eyes. "What?" she asked, tilting her head.
"I would have died." Clerissa swirled the wine in her cup before downing it in one gulp. "I wouldn't have been able to live on without him. Not just because of how much I loved him, but because it would be another person that I loved dead. I wouldn't be able to bare it anymore. If the Veiled Woman didn't come I probably would have let the Fever kill me right then and there. I would have died feeling like a plague or a virus." Clerissa stood up in search for more wine.
She and Adila had been sitting on the top floor, talking so Clerissa went to the first floor where she knew a full wine rack was waiting on the balcony. Adila had followed her and picked up a cup herself. Without a word, Clerissa filled both cups and they cheered before taking long drinks.
The sat down together on the bench next to the wine rack, looking at the chandelier that hung in front of them. They sat in silence for two minutes before Adila broke the silence.
"I want to thank you for everything, Clerissa. What you did to help me. What you've done for my brother. I'm... I'm glad I can sit here and say that I lived. The High Ones didn't win over me." Adila looked and smiled at Clerissa. The Dal'Varek girl looked so much younger now that she was free from dark influences. Beneath her eyes, Clerissa knew those she killed would forever haunt her.
"You and I are similar, Adila,"Clerissa said. "We both have these demons inside of us now. We have to fight back to battle them and the High Ones. We have to be strong." Clerissa sighed and rubbed her head. "We need to be strong against these dark times."
Adila nodded. "I agree." The girls sat there in silence for a few more minutes before Adila spoke again. "When did you know?"
Clerissa looked at her, an eyebrow raised.
"When did you know you loved him?
Clerissa sighed and tilted her head back. "Honestly? I don't know. I knew it was before the incident. I guess, I just... I don't know. I don't know what part I fell in love with first. There's so many parts about him that I love." Clerissa took a big drink from her cup. "All I know now is that I can't imagine my life without him. He's done so much for me."
Adila smiled and looked into her cup. "I understand. It's good to see he has that effect on people. He's being the good person that I know he can be." Adila took a drink of the wine. "And I'm glad he found you. I don't think he could have found a better person. You complete each other. Everyone can see that. Everyone can see how much you love each other. It's... Refreshing." Adila nudged Clerissa with her elbow. "And it's nice to know we can be sister-in-laws. I've never had one before. Always had stinky brothers." Both of the girls chuckled.
"I've had a sister before, but I wouldn't mind having another." Clerissa wrapped her arm around Adila's shoulder and pulled her in for a sisterly embrace. Adila smiled and leaned into the embrace.
"Clerissa Dal'Varek," Adila said. "The name rolls right off the tongue."
Clerissa's eyes widened. "I don't think I can be a Dal'Varek unless I marry into the family."
Adila snorted. "What family? It's just me and Jespar. I think you'd be a great Dal'Varek." Clerissa smiled at the thought. "In fact, I think we should do that. You should be Clerissa Dal'Varek. It sounds normal. Unlike Clerissa the Prophetess." Adila wiggled her fingers and made a mock ghost sound.
Clerissa laughed. "Alright alright. You have a point there."
"Hey, can we go out and do some things?" Adila asked.
Clerissa smiled, remembering a moment long ago like this, with her little sister. "Yeah. Wanna go bug Jes and Tharâel?"
Adila jumped up and nodded. "Yes!" They finished their wine before heading out into the city of Ark to ensue some sisterly chaos.

[Fanfic] Divine Blessing (Black/Zamasu)
Because I’m trash and I just can’t stop myself, here’s another fic. This one will even be multi chapter!
Title: Divine Blessing
Series: Dragon Ball Super
Pairing: Black/Zamasu
Rating: M (for sex)
Words: 4,000
Summary: Black and Zamasu always celebrate the purification of planets by anointing them with their divine passion. However, this practice leads them to discover that even between kindred spirits, different bodies can lead to differences in opinions.
Where to read: Find it on fanfiction.net, ao3, or below!
Oh dear…it’s happening again. I’ve felt fic ideas welling up inside me for the past several months, waiting impatiently for the opportunity to write them. Well, despite other priorities that probably should be higher on my list, I’ve reached my limit. I have a desperate need for more ZamaBlack, and since there’re still very few fics of this godly duo out there, it’s my sworn duty to make more. It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it.
Since I spent far more time mulling this one over than the previous fics, it’s developed from a one-shot into a multi chapter story. Which means, yay more content, but boo, don’t know how soon I’ll be able to write the other chapters :/ I have an abysmal record with making timely updates on multi chapter fics, but here’s hoping I can keep my momentum going this time and at least write another chapter by the end of the year.

Chapter 1: Pleasing the Gods
As they traversed the universes seeking out worlds with mortal life in need of purging, Black and Zamasu had developed a tradition of sorts. It started innocuously enough when, after they had completed cleansing their first planet together, a moment of celebratory elation inadvertently turned passionate. Thereafter, every time they finished an eradication, they would commemorate their achievement with spirited lovemaking. Though at first they would get intimate wherever they happened to be when they finished, it was soon mutually decided that they should use only the most picturesque location on the planet. In their shared opinion, this elevated it to ritualistic status, their divine union bestowing a blessing upon the newly purified planet in the most beautiful way imaginable.
They arrived at one particular planet, though, that had already been divested of all of its natural splendor.  A sickly brown-gray haze spread across the sky in all directions, looming ominously over a landscape dotted with stumps marking areas where life had once been abundant. Rivers cut through the parched landscape, but they flowed with debris rather than water. Numerous scattered ghost towns filled with abandoned housing and factories suggested that there was a once flourishing species here that may have already died out, but Black and Zamasu could sense mortal ki signals emanating from one area of the planet.
Once they tracked down the last holdout of civilization, they looked down with disdain from where they hovered above it in the sky. There was one opulent, dome-topped building sprouting up from the center of a disarrayed assortment of run-down hovels. At this closer range, they could determine that there was a clear divide between the handful of stronger energies inside the structure and the thousands of weak ones coming from the surrounding slums. Which, based on their knowledge of scenarios that commonly played out in human societies, meant there was likely a small group of rich, powerful mortals that had taken advantage of the masses, living in luxury while their subjects starved. The exact history of this species meant nothing to them, though; soon it would be gone and forgotten, giving the planet it had infected a chance to heal.
Zamasu’s lip curled in disgust. “This is…atrocious. They’ve destroyed all of this planet’s natural wonders, and for what? They’re so focused on their own greed that they don’t even realize the damage they’ve done to this world. It’s truly…revolting,” he spat, now visibly seething with rage.
Though they shared the same mind, Black had had a bit more exposure to the horrors of humanity than his future counterpart, and thus was less affected by their atrocities. He put an arm around Zamasu to comfort him. “This is just further proof that we’re doing the right thing,” he stated softly as he pulled him closer. “The Zero Mortals Plan is necessary because this is what they always do. No matter how civilized they may seem, they’ll all reach this point eventually. Which is why we need to stop them before it gets this far whenever possible.”
Zamasu met his gaze and nodded. Though he looked more composed, there was still substantial anger gleaming in his eyes. “Then let’s waste no time getting started.”
“Seems like the strongest ones are inside that building, though this species is so weak none of them can challenge us. We can split up and get this over with quicker, so—”
“I’ll take the ones in there. You take care of the rest.”
Black was a bit surprised at Zamasu’s insistence on killing the stronger mortals of this world, since usually he was content to leave that task to Black. Clearly the abysmal state of this planet had upset him so much that he wanted to be the one to take out those most responsible. “All right. We’ll meet up after we finish. And I’ll try searching around, but we’ll hard-pressed to find a suitable spot for our usual custom in this barren wasteland.”
Zamasu looked baffled at his partner’s suggestion. “This place is so appalling, I can’t even imagine we’ll be in the mood for that when we’re done.” He flew off, leaving a stunned Black behind. He had not expected Zamasu to be this disturbed by the situation, to the point where he even denied the possibility of their sacred ritual. He smirked to himself. Surely he could convince him otherwise…
Zamasu approached the building that rose out of the dregs of humanity, finding it even more monstrous up close. The outer surface shimmered, looking as if some sort of precious metals were a part of its composition. There were evenly spaced lines in which jewels had been embedded into the walls, though in the areas that were closer to the ground, many of them had been picked off. Menacing walls and fencing surrounded the area, but some sections had collapsed or been cut through, so it seemed the mortals in power had somewhat lost their ability to keep the undesirables out. However, some that had made it in never made it back out, as the area inside the border was littered with corpses in varying states of decay. All appeared malnourished, and many were still clutching whatever goods they had managed to pilfer in their last ditch effort to survive. Mortals killing each other in this manner did not particularly bother Zamasu, as it helped to move their plan along quicker, but the sheer audacity of this establishment to take all of the planet’s resources for themselves and hoard them away was simply unforgivable.
He floated down to the entrance and blasted his way through the thick doors. Some creatures came toward him, babbling and brandishing weapons, but he calmly formed a ki blade with his hand and sliced them down effortlessly. Once they all lay dead, he looked around the grand entryway and felt absolutely nauseated as he took in the interior décor. All of the nature that was absent outside seemed to have made its way into this very building. Trees, plants, flowers, every sort of greenery imaginable was displayed all around the hall. None were living, though; they were merely being used as decorations, and many had the same metallic sheen and encrusted jewels as the exterior walls. This sickening, disrespectful display made his blood boil, and he flew up through the ceiling to unleash his fury on whatever unsuspecting vermin were waiting on the next floor.
He continued his way upward floor by floor, easily taking out all he came across with quick swipes of his blade. As he went higher up, the creatures grew fatter and the décor more ostentatious. By the time he reached the top, dome-shaped floor, Zamasu was breathing heavily not from the effort he was exuding, but from his intense wrath. This final room had a different setup than the others he had seen, with circular rows of seating facing a raised, centrally situated platform, which itself was encircled by tables and shelves filled with various objects. From what he knew about human cultures, it looked to be some sort of hall of worship. He chuckled humorlessly. This appeared to be the most significant place in this establishment, so were all of the grotesqueries he had witnessed thus far the doing of some sort of authoritative religious sect?
He approached the only creature that was present. It was the fattest one he had seen yet, and was clothed in a ludicrous looking robe spun mainly from threads of gold, with panels of iridescent rainbow-colored fabric woven throughout. It cowered on the floor as Zamasu came toward it brandishing his ki blade, but he dissipated it as he approached. “Are you responsible for all this?” Zamasu accused, gesturing his arms out to indicate not only the building but the entire planet. “Are you proud of this? Satisfied at the devastation you’ve brought upon this world to nourish your own greed? To see such beauty utterly wasted and abused by scum like you makes me sick. It could take decades, even centuries for this world to heal from the damage caused by you pathetic, worthless sinners!” He took a deep breath to compose himself. No need to get so bent out of shape for a meager pest such as this one. “We’re fixing that now, though. Correcting the mistakes of gods and mortals…by eliminating them and bringing true justice to all worlds,” he finished with a deranged grin.
The frightened creature took one of the holy objects from the shelves, grasping it firmly and chanting. Zamasu could not help but laugh heartily at the display. Once he regained his breath, he inquired snidely, “Who do you think you’re praying to? Unfortunately for you, the only god remaining…” He formed his blade again with a wicked smirk. “…is right here in front of you.”
It frantically babbled what sounded like pleas, and began pulling assorted items from the shelves and offering them to Zamasu. He glared and backed away to keep the foul thing from touching him. “Bargaining won’t do you any good. No matter what, your reprehensible species is going extinct today.” As the creature continued gurgling in a language Zamasu could not decipher, he cocked his head curiously. “Can you even understand me?” He shrugged with a chuckle. “I suppose it doesn’t really matter. Who am I kidding, this speech is more for my own benefit than anyone else’s.” He raised his ki blade slowly. “Now, then…”
Before he could bring it down, someone grabbed onto him from behind. At first he thought he had failed to kill some vermin and one of them was attacking him, but the being started kissing the back of his neck, and a familiar voice purred in his ear, “You ready?”
Zamasu went from coldblooded to flustered in an instant as he felt Black’s erection pressing against his backside. “A-as I’m sure you can see, I’m still dealing with the last of them.”
“So just kill it already.” Black ran his hands smoothly up and down Zamasu’s arms.
Zamasu was trying to keep himself from getting worked up by Black, though he could already feel arousing tingles shooting through his body. “I…I was just lecturing this pest on why despicable species like them need to be wiped out.”
“Who cares? It’ll be dead soon anyway, joining the rest of its miserable kind. Most of the ones out there were already close to death. Really, it was like giving them a mercy killing they didn’t deserve.” A hand drifted down to caress Zamasu’s rear. “After that, I’m ready to go,” he chuckled as he gave it a light slap.
“I thought we agreed that this place was too horrifying to even consider that,” Zamasu protested irritably.
Black shrugged. “You may have thought that. This body disagrees. The very act of killing them gets it…excited. And perhaps because this planet is so awful, it’s our duty to bless it extra hard, don’t you think?” he thrust his hips forward for emphasis, causing a small gasp to come forth from his partner.
Zamasu was still trying mightily to resist being seduced. “You really should try to reign in that body’s barbaric tendencies. Otherwise, you risk completely losing all sense of godly refinement. Honestly, sometimes I hardly recognize myself in you anymore…”
“What’s the matter? Have I become too…” Black reached around and ripped a large opening down the front of Zamasu’s jacket and shirt, exposing his chest.  “…savage for you?”
A slight moan and steadily reddening ears betrayed the fact that Zamasu was getting turned on, despite his best efforts. “I…mmm…” he stammered in his attempt to reply, as Black began sensually licking the sensitive skin on the back of his skull.
During this exchange, the creature attempted to slowly sneak off while they were distracted by each other. “Your prey’s getting away. You gonna finish it off? Or would you like to make it watch?”
Zamasu was offended at the suggestion. “Absolutely not! Mortals are not worthy of bearing witness to our sacred ritual.”
“Then hurry,” Black pleaded in his sultry alto timbre, pressing his lips directly against Zamasu’s ear.
The creature had gotten far enough across the room to try to make a run for it. It was stopped dead in its tracks as Zamasu fired a blast that blew its head off.
Zamasu was whirled around by Black, the two immediately smashing their lips together in a sloppy, desperate manner, completely devoid of the perfect synchronicity they typically shared. Black pushed forward until Zamasu slammed against the table, rattling the adjoining shelves and knocking over many of the so-called holy objects they housed. As their hands groped each other’s bodies, Zamasu noticed Black’s clothing felt different than usual. He tried to move his face back to look at him, but had difficulty as Black kept pulling him in closer. “What…are you…wear…ing?” he managed to ask, his words being interrupted multiple times by persistent kisses from his partner.
“Oh, this?” Black grinned and backed up enough to give Zamasu a view of his whole body. He was clad in the same style of robe that many of the creatures in the building had been wearing. This particular one consisted mostly of rainbow toned fabric trimmed with royal blue and flecks of gold around the edges. Though the beings of this world had worn it as an outer robe with other layers of clothing underneath, Black was wearing nothing else. The entire front of the garment was lined with jeweled buttons, but Black had only fastened a couple of the ones near his stomach, allowing his chest to be exposed and his erection to peek out. “I took it from one of the bodies on my way up here to find you. I think it’s quite beautiful, don’t you?”
The sexy smirk Black shot at him was utterly irresistible, but Zamasu could feel nothing but disdain for anything created by the citizens of this planet. “O-of course you look beautiful, but…” He was silenced as Black crushed his lips against him again. He pushed his hands into the gaping opening in Zamasu’s clothes and tore his shirt and jacket away. Black then dropped to his knees, grabbed onto Zamasu’s pants, and ripped them from his body, leaving scraps of fabric sticking out of the top of his boots.
Black took hold of Zamasu’s hardened member and leered up at him. “Thought you weren’t into this today?”
“W-well, obviously you can convince me…ah!” He gasped as Black took him into his mouth, circling his tongue around the tip. He gave it a few shallow thrusts while working the shaft with his hand, before switching over to kissing and licking up and down the entire length.
Once he felt he had doled out a proper amount of teasing, Black stood up and spun Zamasu around, bending him over the table. “Have you prepared yourself?” With his godly powers of creation, Zamasu could conjure up his own special lubrication and have it appear wherever he needed.
“Yeah.” He reached back and spread his ass cheeks to reveal his opening, already slick and glistening. “See?”
“Good. You’re gonna need it.”
Instead of the welcome sensation of warm cock he had been anticipating, Zamasu shuddered as something cold and hard was jammed inside him. “Wh…what is that…?!”
“Don’t know. Some sort of glass sculpture from this shelf here. I’m sure the mortals made these offerings to please the gods, so…” he leaned forward and put his mouth near Zamasu’s ear with a provocative chuckle, “…let’s see how well they can pleasure you.” He worked the glass object in and out of his partner. “How does that feel?”
“N-not good,” Zamasu cringed. “I d-don’t…” Before he could finish his objection, Black tossed the first object aside and inserted something with a rougher, straw-like texture.
“How about this one? Doesn’t look very comfortable, but I know you like a little pain.”
Zamasu could feel the skin inside of him being torn and instantly healed from the scratchy surface; even increasing his inner lubrication could not get rid of the sensation. And though Black was correct in that he frequently enjoyed it when their lovemaking was liberally spiced with sadomasochism, at this time he was not at all in the mood for the way his other self was carrying it out. “It’s awf—” He was cut off as Black wrapped a beaded necklace tightly around his neck.
“What’s that? You don’t like it?”
“This…isn’t…what…I want…” He managed to speak in short spurts as Black repeatedly slackened and retightened the necklace.
“Ah, so you want something different? I get it.” He removed the second object and pushed the necklace up inside him. He left a small loop sticking out, which he hooked his finger through and tugged at gradually, allowing each bead to pop out one by one. “Is this more like it?”
Zamasu let out a frustrated growl. “I don’t…ah! Want any of these…ngh…” He flinched each time a bead was removed. “I only want…mm…you. No more of these…f-filthy human-made objects!”
Black snickered as he yanked out the remainder of the necklace. “No more human-made objects? You sure?” He positioned the tip of his erection flush against Zamasu’s asshole. “Not even this one?”
Zamasu glanced back over his shoulder, flashing an inviting smile. “I suppose…there’s one exception.” His face lit up even further as Black pushed forward and entered him. Moaning with delight, he gripped the sides of the table and thrust himself backward in time with Black’s strokes. Zamasu felt leery when he felt Black move to grab something off a shelf, but was relieved to see that it was merely a candle. He lit it with a flick of his finger, then brought it to Zamasu’s chest and pressed the flame against his nipple. Despite his demand for no man-made objects to be used on him, he was actually all right with this since the flame was the source of the painful pleasure he received from this.
After singing his nipples for a bit, Black moved the candle downward and held it against Zamasu’s dick, letting the flame flicker against the tip. Zamasu bit his lip, reveling in his invulnerability that allowed him to endure this sensation without suffering any harm. The speed of Black’s pumping increased, nudging him ever closer to finishing. When he felt his partner’s ejaculate erupt within him, Zamasu was also pushed over the edge, tossing his head back as he climaxed.
Black chortled as Zamasu turned around to face him. “You put my candle out,” he leered, licking cum and melted wax from his hand.
Zamasu looked at him with a tight smile. Of course he knew Black had done all of this with the best of intentions, but he was still peeved that his partner had not realized how truly distraught this world and its mortals had made him feel. With a wave of his hand, they were both clad in their regular attire again. “Let’s go,” he said flatly.
Black could tell Zamasu was not happy with him. Though they shared the same soul, it was clearly a mistake to assume they always thought alike. The sullen expression Zamasu was wearing troubled him—especially knowing that he was partially to blame for it—and Black wondered what he could do to make his other self feel better. Though after exterminating humans from a planet they typically left their structures behind to rot away and be reclaimed by nature, perhaps it would be cathartic for Zamasu if they destroyed this place. “Do you want to…?”
Zamasu nodded. “Burn it to the ground.” Now they were on the same wavelength again. The pair blasted a hole through the top of the dome and floated upward. They unleashed matching firestorms, setting the building and surrounding slums ablaze. As they stared into the flames, they each reached out a hand toward the other wordlessly, interlacing their fingers tightly together.
Once the thick smoke and stench of burning flesh became unbearable, they loosened their grip and faced each other. “Shall we go then?” Zamasu suggested.
“Yeah.”
After they teleported back to their home base in the realm of the gods, Black could still feel an uncomfortable tension between them, and he wanted to do anything he could to get rid of it. Though it felt very strange to apologize to another version of himself, perhaps it was necessary in this case. “I…I’m truly sorry about what happened. I should’ve seen how deeply that planet was affecting you. We’re kindred spirits, so I assumed our feelings might be a bit different sometimes, but not that far apart. I was wrong about that.”
“It’s fine,” Zamasu snapped in a tone that indicated it obviously was not. “Inhabiting an impure human body like you do, it was only a matter of time before it started to sully your mind.”
Black raised an eyebrow. This was taking an unexpected turn, and he was not quite sure how to respond. “I took this body because I needed its power to cleanse the universes. I knew there was a risk I could be influenced by its primitive nature, but I was willing to make that sacrifice for the justice we both believe in. That will never change. And if it does, if I ever truly become a victim of my own body, then…you know what to do.” They came to the decision early on in their partnership that, if Black’s body’s humanity ever became an obstacle, it was up to Zamasu to make sure they fused into a single being before it was too late. Bringing up this agreement caused his irritated expression to soften into a sorrowful one, and Black could not help but envelop him in a soothing embrace. “But I won’t let that happen,” he murmured gently.
“I hope so.” Zamasu felt himself calming down as they stood with their arms wrapped around each other, though his mind still swarmed with negative thoughts. Nothing was more distressing to him than the possibility of losing this bond someday, and despite Black’s assurances, it was difficult not to believe that it might be inevitable. He could only hope that the emerging differences between them were not a sign of worse things to come.
Black broke off the hug and put his hands on Zamasu’s shoulders.  “You want to rest a bit before we head to the next planet?”
“Yes. After the last one was so…trying, I’d prefer to wait a while.” He was grateful that in most circumstances the two of them understood each other perfectly. And Black’s earnestness made Zamasu want to forgive him. Still, there was also a very petty part of him that sought revenge for the degrading way Black had chosen to execute their divine blessing. He narrowed his eyes and shot Black a slightly sinister, mischievous smile. “And next time, I’m picking the place.”
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Woo hoo, first chapter done for my first multi chapter Black/Zamasu fic ^_^ In previous stories, I’ve written both kinky and sappy versions of the these characters, and this time around is turning out to be a combination of the two. Will do my best to keep chugging along with this, but life can be a bitch sometimes and bother me with “responsibilities” that aren’t nearly as fun as fic writing :/ But I’m doing this for the universe, for the world! And will hopefully not take too long with it :P

The Flash - S6 E7 - The Last Temptation of Barry Allen Pt 1
Holy shit, this CGI is bad.  What the fuck. That does, stop fucking using CGI unless you could make it look good.  Jesus tap dancing Christ.  Earlier today I answer a question on Quora about whether CGI in movies getting worse; and the answer is, it really is, because everyone has to use it for every fucking thing these days, even for the simplest fucking effect that could be done practically, but they still use CGI instead.  Some of it is because it's actually still cheaper than a practical effect, but it's gotten to the point that effects houses are going bankrupt, because so many things want CGI now, that they don't have time to do all it right, so they have to do it fast and cheap; such that even blockbuster movies get the substandard CGI effects, in order for the movies to be ready in time, then the effects companies are expected to go back and improve the CGI in time for at home media release, often for little if any additional cost.  This drives all of the smaller effects houses out of business and makes the workload for the remaining effects companies even worse, perpetuating the problem.
And I get using CGI on fucking Elongated Man, but did they have to fucking CGI Dr. Coffee Guy?  When they first went over the edge, he looked about ten shades paler than the dude should be; for a second it looked more like Grant Gustin than fucking Sendhil Ramamurthy.... Was that shitty, shitty CGI even necessary for the 10 seconds of super fake flailing, just to cut to the real actors laying on the ground?  It's more jarring than anything; it was like they briefly accidentally cued up a clip from a cartoon before switching to the program that was supposed to be airing.  And splitting the logo in between literally and figuratively destroyed any concept of momentum of these two supposedly falling from a large height. I get Dr. CG being a dick to other people's personal property, and it's par for the course in a superhero battle, but for like a split second they actually had me thinking that Ralph might do the honorable thing and not completely total some random person's car by flinging it down the block.... How did Frost even know Ralph was there much less the need to look for him? Has Caitlin honestly been suppressed for last the 6+ episodes? Convenient that Barry's magic blood is also the type that won't kill three-quarters of the population.  In which case, should he donate blood as often as possible and spread his healing factor?  Or what Flash blood become some sort of commodity, that people would clamor for to such a degree that it'd be best to keep it a secret? With his heightened metabolism, how often could Barry donate? I'm not suggesting that Team Flash strap Barry down and basically turning him into their own figurative and literal blood bank, but I'm also not not saying they should do that.  Add a few electrodes to harness his speed force lightning and feed it onto the grid, and Barry is basically.... I don't know, Buddah, Jesus and Santa rolled into one or something. You know what response you don't give when someone asks about your husbands secret alter-ego? "How did you know?" That's pretty much a dead give away, especially if the other person only has a sneaking suspicion or nothing verified. Sure, having them do the whole "you're husband's the Flash," "No he's not," "Yes, he is," "Okay, you got me," dance would be tedious, but surely there's a better way of doing this whole stupid story than having someone who should know better speak out of telling someone he didn't know somebody else's vital secret and other people just rolling with it. The stuff going on inside Barry's head is fair; the Thanksgiving feast with the goo is sufficiently creepy, they work the angst well enough with Barry not getting to hold Nora.  I just can't help but think they could have worked this all better with a single focus A story and not divide it with the newspaper crap or even tease it with Ralph's attack kicking it off.   These psychological stuff makes me think of the Star Trek TNG episode Frame of Mind, where Riker is inside his own head and finds himself bouncing back and forth between two distinct "realities" and state of minds and he becomes uncertainty which is real (as it turns out neither are) And I feel like that's the sort of structure this episode could have made really good use of.  They didn't need Ralph being attacked to set the stage, they didn't even need to tell us right away that Barry wasn't in his right state of mind at first, but let it build gradually; then go back and reveal how he got there at some point much later.   Just playing on the whole concept of "the temptation of Barry Allen" theme and him wanting to hold baby Nora, that could have been part of the built in concept of the episode, where we see Barry leading an otherwise ordinary life with Iris and Nora in some idyllic world where either he never was the Flash or he'd given it up after the Crisis; and then slowly the facade begins to fade and he begins to realize he's not where he thinks he is. He's dead. everybody's dead. Everybody is dead, Barry.
youtube
I mean.... Barry has literally seen the "people" Dr. CG has infected and he knows that what he's saying is complete bullshit; so why would he suddenly be tempted with this obvious lie that accept his goo will let him save others without consequence? So which is it, Ramsey's telling lies or holds the key to Barry's salvation?  Nothing they've shown suggested anything good for Barry if he just gives in.  Yeah, I get that he's playing on Barry's fear or dying and leaving the people closest to him and giving everything up to save the world, yet Ramsey's offer doesn't seem like it should be the least bit appealing with regards to those fears.  He's completely full of shit and Barry would have to be a fucking idiot not to remember what blending with not-Venom had done to other people.  Who the fuck would want to live that way? A scene that should be really great - Barry angry about the speed force "choosing him" and facing his mortality - is undermined by the sheer stupidity of the alternative he's entertaining; never mind the fact that, once again, Barry is obviously not going to actually die and stay dead following the crisis, so this whole fucking bullshit is pointless anyway.  All it does is diminish the original story where Barry Allen had to make a split second decision to either save lives or think about himself and he chose to be a hero. Oh, for fuck sake, what the hell is this shit now and Frost having a panic attack with Barry's critical medical health? Oh no, Barry killed his not-mom....whatever will happen now..... 🙄 🤦‍♂️
Oh, I guess he just needed a V8.....
Tumblr media
or 10, or whatever.... Gee, I wonder if he really beat it, since this is fucking PART ONE! Can I just say, Barry's mom is pretty hot.  The one thing this episode has going for it is actually giving Michelle Harrison something to do on this series, other than die or be put on some sort of Virgin Mary-esque pedestal. This scene with Iris writing the Crisis article is weird.  I mean, for one, again, he's definitely still going to be alive when all is said and done after Crisis is over, but that aside, is there such urgency to begin writing this article before the events even happen, that she needs to start working on it right now?  Is she afraid it won't be ready in time?  And for that matter, there's an important paradox factor here, which is that they're trying to play this scene as if it has all this deep and profound heart as she comes up with the words for the article - but she's already seen the fucking article and what at least the first couple of paragraphs say.  It's the bootstrap paradox, so aptly explained by the 12th Doctor.
youtube
And you might say, perhaps the article changes, the way the date and author has been previously been shown to change, but therein lies another paradox - is it only changing because she's intentionally trying to write something else and is it that why it changes? Seriously, what the fuck?  The last episode had Nash and Allegra go through this stupid song and dance where Allegra needed to us her powers to see where certain mineral was, so Nash would know where to dig; and now he just brings this big honking device that unleashing a pulse 6' in diameter and clears everything away like it's no big deal. Fuck you, writers. Wait, wait, I know this; the engraved characters say, "For a good time, call Brainiac 5" Halle-fucking-lujah.  Can I just say, after melting my brain watching Days of Our Lives again recently, because I'm genuinely that bored, it's actually refreshing that someone uses their God damn brain and recognizes when someone is acting out of the ordinary or under the influence of some mind altering whatever... Man, I wonder if Barry and the rest if his team will manage to overcome this latest hurdle before Crisis in two weeks....

The Doors of Eden by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Type: Novel Publisher: Orbit Release date: Aug. 18
Den of Geek says: Portal fantasy of a sort, backed by hard science fiction from the author of the award-winning Children of Time, this novel looks inventive, rigorous, and adventurous.
Publisher’s summary: They thought we were safe. They were wrong.
Four years ago, two girls went looking for monsters on Bodmin Moor. Only one came back.
Lee thought she’d lost Mal, but now she’s miraculously returned. But what happened that day on the moors? And where has she been all this time? Mal’s reappearance hasn’t gone unnoticed by MI5 officers either, and Lee isn’t the only one with questions.
Julian Sabreur is investigating an attack on top physicist Kay Amal Khan. This leads Julian to clash with agents of an unknown power – and they may or may not be human. His only clue is grainy footage, showing a woman who supposedly died on Bodmin Moor.
Dr Khan’s research was theoretical; then she found cracks between our world and parallel Earths. Now these cracks are widening, revealing extraordinary creatures. And as the doors crash open, anything could come through.

Seven Devils by Laura Lam and Elizabeth May
Type: Novel  Publisher: DAW Release date: Aug. 4
Den of Geek says:  This ensemble cast space opera fits nicely into the “Expanse” model of adventure stories with enough political detail and blood to make you feel like you could walk into the far-future world. An early review calls it “epic, if occasionally bumpy.”
Publisher’s summary: When Eris faked her death, she thought she had left her old life as the heir to the galaxy’s most ruthless empire behind. But her recruitment by the Novantaen Resistance, an organization opposed to the empire’s voracious expansion, throws her right back into the fray.
Eris has been assigned a new mission: to infiltrate a spaceship ferrying deadly cargo and return the intelligence gathered to the Resistance. But her partner for the mission, mechanic and hotshot pilot Cloelia, bears an old grudge against Eris, making an already difficult infiltration even more complicated.
When they find the ship, they discover more than they bargained for: three fugitives with firsthand knowledge of the corrupt empire’s inner workings.
Together, these women possess the knowledge and capabilities to bring the empire to its knees. But the clock is ticking: the new heir to the empire plans to disrupt a peace summit with the only remaining alien empire, ensuring the empire’s continued expansion. If they can find a way to stop him, they will save the galaxy. If they can’t, millions may die.

Type: Novel  Publisher: Tor Books Release date: July 7
Den of Geek says: Kate Elliott’s long career in fantasy has proven her a master of world-building. It has a heck of a tagline: “female Alexander the Great in space.” This series promises strong science fiction action.

Axiom’s End by Lindsay Ellis
Type: Novel  Publisher: St Martin’s Press Release date: July 21
Den of Geek says: Lindsay Ellis is known primarily as a YouTube pop culture critic. She excels at explaining why pop culture works or doesn’t work, as well as adding context to day’s top headlines. Her first book sounds like a mix between Arrival and The X-Files, set in the early 2000s.
Publisher’s summary: The alternate history first contact adventure Axiom’s End is an extraordinary debut from Hugo finalist and video essayist Lindsay Ellis.
Truth is a human right.
It’s fall 2007. A well-timed leak has revealed that the US government might have engaged in first contact. Cora Sabino is doing everything she can to avoid the whole mess, since the force driving the controversy is her whistleblower father. Even though Cora hasn’t spoken to him in years, his celebrity has caught the attention of the press, the Internet, the paparazzi, and the government―and with him in hiding, that attention is on her. She neither knows nor cares whether her father’s leaks are a hoax, and wants nothing to do with him―until she learns just how deeply entrenched her family is in the cover-up, and that an extraterrestrial presence has been on Earth for decades.
Realizing the extent to which both she and the public have been lied to, she sets out to gather as much information as she can, and finds that the best way for her to uncover the truth is not as a whistleblower, but as an intermediary. The alien presence has been completely uncommunicative until she convinces one of them that she can act as their interpreter, becoming the first and only human vessel of communication. Their otherworldly connection will change everything she thought she knew about being human―and could unleash a force more sinister than she ever imagined.

The Relentless Moon (Lady Astronauts) by Mary Robinette Kowal
Type: Novel  Publisher: Tor Books Release date: July 14
Den of Geek says: The Lady Astronaut series tackles sexism (lots and lots of sexism) in an alternate world where the space race is hurried along by the arrival of a meteor strike. It has gained a lot of fans for its determined characters and convincing alternate history.
Publisher’s summary: The Earth is coming to the boiling point as the climate disaster of the Meteor strike becomes more and more clear, but the political situation is already overheated. Riots and sabotage plague the space program. The IAC’s goal of getting as many people as possible off Earth before it becomes uninhabitable is being threatened.
Elma York is on her way to Mars, but the Moon colony is still being established. Her friend and fellow Lady Astronaut Nicole Wargin is thrilled to be one of those pioneer settlers, using her considerable flight and political skills to keep the program on track. But she is less happy that her husband, the Governor of Kansas, is considering a run for President.
