Ketu Ruled Men & Their Striking Features
A Study of Shadowy Beauty in the Nakshatras 💫🌠🦋🙏🕊️🌚
This is a special collab with @astrocrazed and honestly I'm so grateful to her because this idea was born out of our shared obsession with nakshatra-coded beauty. Most appearance-based astrology content focuses on women and even fewer talk about how each nakshatra affects physical features, particularly in men. So we wanted to change that. This post focuses on Ketu-ruled nakshatras and how this shadowy, spiritual planet shows up physically. Ketu might be headless, but trust me when it dominates a chart, the face tells a story. If your Sun, Moon, or Ascendant is in a Ketu-ruled nakshatra (Ashwini, Magha, Mula), conjunct Ketu or if Ketu is in your 2nd house (which rules the face), chances are you've got some of these distinctive traits. Let's dive into the mysterious allure of Ketu-coded men.
Now onto my introduction,
Offering my prayers to lord Ganesha
Om Gam Ganapathaye Namaha II
And with a beej mantra of ketu
ॐ श्रम श्रीं सरं सह केतवे नमः ||
Om Shram Shree Srom Saha Ketave Namaha II
I am starting this post..
It has been a long time since I have written a long-ass post. This post is a collab with @clarynewme . I am more thankful to her as she is the one who came up with all the points. So kudos to your research and observations. We decided to do such a post after finding little to no posts discussing how each nakshatra affects the overall features of a man. We are delving into physical features that are seen in each of the 27 nakshatras. Before going into individual nakshatras, it would be worthwhile to do a general post on all the nakshatras that are ruled by the same planet. So in this post we are talking about ketu, the shadowy planet.
Each planet has certain influence on the facial features and overall physique of a person. As we are talking about Ketu, let's see how it influences a person's features.

Brad Pitt

Austin Butler

Ahn Hyo-Seop

Xu Kai

Ashutosh Rana

Adrien Brody
From what is seen in these photos they tend to have:
🍀 Prominent jawline - well defined but not overly square, with minimal excess mass around the jaw area;
🍀 Tapered chin that's round yet slightly squarish;
🍀 Small to medium almond-shaped "puppy eyes" (@venussaidso);
🍀 Close-set eyes unless softened by Pisces/ Sagittarius placements (tropical astrology); Deep set, noticeable or even shocking eyes (Claire Nakti);
🍀 Prominent or unique teeth - large, crooked or with a gap (Claire Nakti);
🍀 Straight and narrow nose bridge;
🍀 High, subtly defined cheekbones;
🍀 Prominent neck - usually long or thick;
🍀 Something unique about their appearance, like tattoos, piercings, dyed or styled hair or a padded/dimpled chin (Claire Nakti);
🍀 Hair that varies widely: long, medium, short, bald, dyed, bleached or natural (common styles include mohawks, slicked back looks, buns, or wild textures) - Claire Nakti;
🍀 Symmetrical lips with a well-defined Cupid's bow;
🍀 Prominent ears that stick out (Claire Nakti);
🍀 Tall height and lean to muscular body (in general);
🍀 Tendency to highlight their eyes with eye liner or smokey eyeshadows - musexmessenger (tiktok);
🍀 Prominent speech - may be loud or direct, with a unique vocal tone such as deep, raspy, airy, high-pitched or marked by a lisp or stutter.
Note: If you've noticed any other traits in Ketu-ruled men, feel free to share-your insights might help us update and refine the post!
Finally finishing our post with this man right here..

Hi! I love your art style and your miraculous au so much! I especially love the comic in which Plagg turns into a cat for real because his chaotic ways ended up helping Adrien gaining more friends, something I think it's hard for Adrien to do, so it shows that Plagg actually cares for Adrien and looks out for him, in his own way! I have some questions about your au!
1. Are Felix, Kagami and Adrien still sentimonsters in this au? If not, that's totally cool, and I'm curious on how you explain Emilie and the broken peacock!
2. Your Adrien gives off very gnc vibes, maybe it's the way of his hair and facial features (I love how unique you made him look, I especially love his broad nose, he doesn't look like a copy paste version of Emilie but actually a blend of his parents), so what are Adrien's pronouns in this au?
Hello and tysm! 1.) I'm not planning on including the sentimonster plotline just because Adrien's story is already so sad lol ;-; Emilie currently passes of natural causes and Gabriel would get the peacock miraculous another way and it would be more symbolically representative of Emilie and not literally representative of her (but nothings too set in stone atp)
2.) Adrien is intentionally kinda gnc vibes! His pronouns are still he/him but he kinda shows the other boys in class that you don't need to be macho to be a good guy yk. He grew up surrounded by women and was mainly raised by his mom so he just never learned toxic masculinity in the same way other boys did because of his very private upbringing.
Also since he's been modeling his entire life he just doesn't see clothes/jewelry as particularly "gendered" and doesn't know why it's seen as "weird" that he's interested in fashion as a guy.
Also he's definitely bi but doesn't know it yet lol

i love marinette redesigns that make her look more like sabine and give the two of them more accurate east asian features, but i'd also like to see some that have her resemble both of her parents (since she looks nothing like either of them in canon) and make tom look more italian as well.
i've always imagined marinette to have really thick and heavy black hair that makes it nearly impossible to use heat tools or hair color on, which is why she always sticks to one low-maintenance hair style. she'd also inherent curly hair through tom, which is always very frizzy and unkempt.
based on sabine's design, i typically think of marinette to have gray eyes, but i've also really enjoyed the idea of her having heterochromia; one gray eye like sabine (or brown, if you decide to change hers) and one green one like tom. as ladybug, i think she'd still have blue eyes from tikki (or black eyes like a bug, if we want to be fun) so it helps with making her civilian and hero form a bit more unique to each other.
if we're scaling the adults' heights in a more realistic sense then i'd imagine sabine is around 5'4 and tom is about 6'5, making marinette around 5'9 when she's still a young teenager. paired with her height, i think she'd also inherent her dad's natural strength and muscular build.
she definitely speaks shanghainese (a dialect of wu chinese, separate from mandarin) and italian, taught and encouraged by both her parents, and is learning mandarin — giving her something to bond with adrien over by tutoring him.

Baaaack to my cat shenanigans- in another fandom- again...
Fun fact, I actually did this almost two years ago. (I also did designs for Marinette/Ladybug... I just never posted those online) I just never used tags when I first posted it. I wanted to revisit the designs and update it. Nooootes time!
So- as a refresher. In my "catverse" style AUs, usually cats of higher class tend to walk on their hind legs only. So, cavtverse!Adrien is forced to do so because walking on all 4s is seen as juvenile.
I already kinda stretch things by giving the cats some form of clothing (most of the times, irl cats don't like being clothed). I doubt these kitties would enjoy full body suits- so any super hero form may have something more unique to it. By that I mean... the forms may be cat + animal hybrid based on what their miraculous is (so for example, a cattified Ladybug may have some actual ladybug features and also be smaller, Rena Rouge may look more like a fox rather than a cat, etc).
... considering that Chat Noir is already... a cat- it may seem a bit lame, however-
Chat is mainly on all 4s, rarely on hind legs. He can use his staff surprisingly well with his prehensile tail.
His old design has some blonde streaks, decided to remove these in the revamp. (Still kept the two cheek stripes tho).
The cat ring has been turned into a bracelet (I could technically still have it as a ring since they are kinda- a mix of anthro/cartoon and feral cats, but still)
I mentioned Chat being on all 4s. Honestly I can imagine him being more on the "feral' side, so he may act like a regular cat more often.

Would you call Adrien “Gary Stu”?
Overuse of the terms "Gary Stu", "Gary Sue", and "Mary Sue" has created a bit of a semantic shift, turning a very specific concept into a catch-all pejorative for characters people don't like, but that the source property portrays positively. Because of this, let's start by going over the the actual definition of what it means to be a Gary/Mary Sue:
The Mary Sue is a character archetype in fiction, usually a young woman, who is often portrayed as inexplicably competent across all domains, gifted with unique talents or powers, liked or respected by most other characters, unrealistically free of weaknesses, extremely attractive, innately virtuous, and generally lacking meaningful character flaws. Usually female and almost always the main character, a Mary Sue is often an author's idealized self-insertion, and may serve as a form of wish fulfillment. Mary Sue stories are often written by adolescent authors. Originating from fan fiction, the term Mary Sue was coined by Paula Smith in the 1973 parody short story "A Trekkie's Tale", as the name of a character standing in for idealized female characters widespread in Star Trek fan fiction.
Zoe is the only character in Miraculous that fits the archetype of a Mary/Gary Sue. Adrien and Marinette are just poorly written non-sueish characters who get slapped with these labels under that general pejorative issue I was talking about before.
Adrien is talented in many areas, but he's implied to have been training in them since he was a child, so those talents are earned. Same goes for Marinette. Her skills may be overblown for her age, but that's normal for shows aimed at kids and it's not like she just started sewing yesterday.
Whether or not the story wants to address them, Adrien has legitimate character flaws and he's certainly not portrayed an "inexplicable competent." The show has gone out of its way to portray Adrien as weak and incapable of facing his father, things that would never happen for a Gary Sue. I don't think anyone looks at Adrien and wants to be him, but that's basically a defining trait of the Gary/Mary Sue!
If you want my two cents as to why we've seen a semantic shift in these terms, it's because of the feelings evoked by the characters. When a character has flaws that aren't addressed (Adrien) or gets roles that really should go to other characters because the writers are obsessed with them for some reason (Marinette), that can be extremely aggravating in the same way idealized self-inserts can be aggravating when you're looking for a more realistic character. However, the feelings being the same doesn't mean that the issue is the same. Adrien and Marinette are well designed characters that could be used to tell a story without any major changes. If you want to tell a story with Zoe where she reads as something other than an idealized self-insert fantasy, then you have to change her character. You can't work with the core version because Zoe is just a collection of cool skills with no flaws or depth.
(Quick reminder that Mary/Gary Sues are FINE!!! They have real value and are popular in many genres. I will defend them even though I rarely enjoy stories that feature them. Zoe being a Mary Sue is only a problem because Miraculous' story is ill suited to a Mary Sue.)

What are your favourite Miraculous fanfics - salt or not?
I've got quite a list, so everyone buckle up. We're about to board the salt train:
Ladybugout AU by Miraculous_Content
This was the one that introduced me to the world of Miraculous salt fics, and the fic that opened my eyes to the problems of the show. When Rafe and I first got into Miraculous, Season 2 hadn't aired and we were looking for new shows to watch. We didn't know it, but our interest would be dead by Season 4.
You Don’t Know What You’ve Got ‘Til It’s Gone by DaniMeows
One of the earliest salt fics I read when I first learned about them, and it still hits all those right notes years later. It's a one-shot, yes, but you get to see the class get collectively punched in the gut when they realize how badly they screwed up.
The Karma of Lies by CartoonAddict564
I know this one is a bit controversial due to how it treats Adrien at the end. And while I agree, it's a very nice and short fic where we see everyone get what they deserve and more. For better or worse. For what it's worth, I still enjoy the first half.
Chloe's Lament by ChaoticNeutral
Another well-done salt fic detailing the longtime bully finally getting her just desserts in a satisfying manner. While Rafe and I still plan to do a Chloe redemption, this one scratches all the right itches in regards to giving her what she deserves.
Hubris by SuperPsychoNutcase
I'm a bit biased because I'm a current player of Twisted-Wonderland, but this is just a nice "Good things happen to Marinette" fic as she rebuilds her life in another world. Meanwhile, Lila finds out the hard way not everyone is a sucker like she wanted. Yeah, Rafe and I are doing a Lila redemption but it still is a nice read.
Unveiling Lila by catcathlee
A nice series of vignettes showing the many, many ways Lila could get exposed. Not much to say other than they're all very unique and very nice to read.
Juleka vs. the Forces of the Universe by goldenlaurelleaves
A nice and unique twist on the formula that also addresses some frustrating problems of the show while giving focus to an often-ignored character in both the fandom and the show. This is partly what inspired our rendition of Juleka in the fic.
#8024 by SimplyAnotherWriter
Another one that's a bit controversial, but for what it's worth it brings to focus the stark hypocrisy everyone in the show has. And honestly, with how Miraculous as it is likes to blame Marinette for everything, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened in the show proper.
Chaton Noir by ChaoticNeutral
For a non-salt recommendation, I absolutely must recommend this bag of cuteness overload. It's a series of vignettes featuring the dolls Marinette accidentally brought to life via Creation magic. And I recommend seeing a dentist afterwards. Because the fluff will absolutely rot your teeth.
That's about all I can list from off the top of my head. Hope that answers it.

Marked for Glory:
1: How do the wielders learn the specifics of their destiny? Is it cultural knowledge, are they informed by someone, or do they just Know?
2: Is Gabriel the true inheritor of the Butterfly?
3: Who have the toughest time hiding their new features?
4: Does Mlle. Bustier notice that her entire class is acting odd?
5: I assume that Juleka and Luka probably know about each other, but does anyone else know about anyone else?
6: Do Chloé and Zoé both awaken as the inheritors of the Bee?
Marked For Glory
Their Kwami partners tell them, once they hunt them down like the naughty descendants they are.
No, no one knows how he managed to do it, but he stole the Butterfly.
Ivan's horns, or Adrien's tail and ears are good contenders. Juleka has a long purple tail as well...
She would have to be completely blind and oblivious to miss it... so she is trying to give them all space to adjust. I'm sure she's there to support her students, but she has a very flawed methodology for teens.
Yes, they know about each other, and Rose knows as well. You know why. Chloe and Sabrina know about each other, Alya and Nino know each other as well. Ivan and Mylene... and yeah, about the only ones that don't have at least 1 know after their awakening is Adrien and Marinette.
That would create quite the buzz, and I'm all for it. One of the unique traits of the Bee lineage is to have multiple members active at once, they are the hive.

Reverse Crush
Anddd here is today's second chapter :). I hope you like it! I am forever tormented by how little reverse crush we got in the show. I always want more haha. Lemme know what you think <3
AO3
Adrien sighed quietly, leaning on his fist as he craned his neck back to stare blatantly at Marinette. It was study hall so he could finally get away with just focusing on her. Not for the first time that day, though did he wish he sat behind her. That way, he’d be able to peek up at her periodically through the day rather than having to crane his head back awkwardly to look at her.
She looked adorable. Just like she did every day. Her tongue was stuck out of the side of her mouth as she concentrated on whatever it was she was drawing.
Cute.
Clearing his throat, Adrien leaned forward, tapping her desk to get her attention. She looked up, her pretty blue eyes wide with shock.
“What are you drawing, Marinette?” he asked, hopeful to hear her soft voice as she directed her attention to him alone.
Her surprise at his sudden question melted into a warm smile, and Adrien couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement.
"I was actually just sketching some of my ideas down for fashion. It helps for inspiration when I’m creating." Marinette replied.
Adrien leaned in a bit closer, intrigued by her creative process. "Can I see?" he asked eagerly, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Marinette hesitated for a brief moment before nodding. She turned her notebook towards Adrien, revealing a series of intricate designs that showcased her talent and unique style.
The first page held numerous sketches of her and her friends in beautiful gowns. They all looked amazing. When he looked at the next page, however, his mouth dried. It was him. Or, well, Chat Noir, in a few different designs from Marinette.
Suddenly, Adrien was struck by the urge to commission her. He’d wear those designs every day. He bit it back, however. As much as he might want to, he couldn’t reveal his secret identity. Not even to someone as perfect as Marinette.
"These are beautiful, Marinette!" Adrien exclaimed, genuinely impressed. "You're so talented. I especially liked the way that you drew Chat Noir." He winked up at her.
An adorable red blush lit up her face at the compliment, and she smiled gratefully. He needed to figure out how to get her to do that more often. She looked so cute with a flush on her cheeks. "Thank you, Adrien. That means a lot coming from you, being the son of a famous designer and all."
Encouraged by her positive reaction, he couldn't resist teasing her playfully. "You know, if you ever need a model for your designs, I'd be happy to volunteer."
Marinette's eyes widened in surprise, and then she burst into giggles, her laughter like music to his ears. "Sure, Adrien. I'll keep that in mind. If ever I make one of these frilly dresses, I’ll make sure that you’re the first one I call." She winked.
His heart quickened at her reaction, feeling dizzy with giddiness.
Wink! She winked at him. How was he meant to mentally function after that?
Adrien’s grin must have looked completely ridiculous as he couldn’t stop it from stretching wide across his cheeks. “I’ll be looking forward to it,” he replied, his voice filled with genuine excitement.
As the bell signaling the end of study hall rang, Adrien reluctantly tore his gaze away from Marinette who was laughing softly at his words. He made a mental note to find a way to bring up the topic of her designs again soon, maybe during their next study hall.
After all, she had winked and laughed at him! That had to mean something... right? He wracked his brain, trying to remember if he had ever seen Marinette wink at anyone else. He couldn’t think of any which was a very pleasant thought.
As he walked to his next class, Adrien couldn’t shake off the image of Marinette’s sketches, especially the ones featuring Chat Noir. It was both thrilling and nerve-wracking to see himself depicted in her designs, knowing that she had no idea of his secret identity.
Maybe... maybe he could sneak over to her room one night, just to commission one of those designs. After all, if Adrien was able to take a peek at her designs, he figured she’d certainly let Chat Noir, a superhero, see them as well. With that plan in mind, Adrien’s grin stayed on his face for the rest of the day.

I wrote and deleted this several times and then decided that no, I actually want to comment on this and I think it's worth doing so.
NNo representation of a marginalized group is going to be perfect and even the apparent stereotypes came from somewhere and are representing someone, the problem is when the writers (and the audience) are unable to see the nuances when the writing is nuanced or bring them in the way they bring them to cis heterosexual male characters when they are also flat.
Marinette was never going to be a good representation and it's always a little awkward when people talk about her dual heritage because it applies to any child of a mixed couple.
I'm not going to completely kick the hornet's nest that is the belief that if you have a POC parent the traits of that parent must be the most prominent and how that relates to an inherent racism on both sides that white people think you shouldn't be "fooled" by passing as white And on the POC side, you are often denied access or resented for not experiencing the same kind of marginalization and mistreatment. But that is something that underlies every discussion on this topic.
Marinette's design was criticized for being too white and more consumable for a Western audience (whitewashing). I imagine that with the design change the creators heard that criticism and that's why they changed it a little. The thing is, that criticism always shut up anyone who said "it's entirely possible that Marinette looks like that, a lot of people with the same kind of heritage as her do." I had to read how one of them was harassed and called racist (there is always something bitter when it happens to someone from the same group they are supposedly "defending").
So I can understand and sympathize with other anon because in moving towards purer representations of POC with characters that are mixed there is a certain erasure that happens. And that's always reinforced when the show refuses to dig deeper and deal with the implications they themselves set.
It was a nearly unanimous opinion that while Sabine's episode showed racism and bullying, having her and Marinette be the ones to apologize and bow their heads left a bitter taste. Many were furious because Adrien talks and knows more about a culture that belongs to Marinette and the only interest she showed was for her love interest, not for herself.And that's without getting into the subtextual implications that while they expected Marinette to take an interest on her own, her parents didn't teach her (even if Sabine retained some things) because it was more convenient for Marinette to have and use a white pass.
All this to say that Marinette's phenotypic representation was never going to be perfect. There was always going to be someone unhappy and erased by the design decisions. I don't think her design is stereotypical or racist, however, ironically, those elements are present in the episodes that seek to talk about Marinette's Chinese heritage or racism.
Anonymous asked:
Hi, anon who disliked Marinette’s new design here. I wasn’t clear in my original ask, sorry. The Asian features aren’t the problem—it’s the change. Mixed race characters do not become better representation by looking less white. It’s definitely a complicated issue, but someone like me, who doesn’t read as Chinese, isn’t any less mixed or less of a poc than someone who does. Equating how nonwhite someone looks to how well they represent their nonwhite culture is not how it goes.
Marinette could definitely be better representation for a mixed Chinese-French kid. But that would come through her environment and personal identity. The wok on the stove and rice cooker on the counter are part of her mixed heritage, for example. If they wanted to better represent Marinette’s unique cultural background, they should have had her learn more about it and become more comfortable with it, like I did at her age. I am confident calling myself Chinese now, but not because I became more identifiable as Chinese—rather I identified the experiences I had in common with other Chinese third-generation immigrant kids. Marinette could eat more Chinese food, learn her Chinese name, incorporate her culture into her clothing in the way a fifteen year old would. She could talk about how she feels about being mixed, and how the different influences affect her. She could have random Chinese trinkets hanging around her room that she got as gifts. She could celebrate Chinese New Year or Moon Festival. That’s a lot of examples, but my point is I would vastly prefer to see Marinette explore her culture as a form of representation rather than appear closer to the Chinese beauty standard most clockable to white people.
Thank you for being so gracious. I see how my original ask may have come off as rude, and I really don’t mean to be. Might have been a bit too blunt in this one too, I don’t know, haha.
Ack, anon who didn’t like Marinette’s new design back again. I really should have specified that I don’t have anything against designs of Marinette that make her look more Chinese (in fact I like them a lot) it’s specifically the implication that she can’t be good representation for the ethnicity she is if she doesn’t look Chinese. I should have also explained that the thin, upward angled eyes given to Fei, Kagami, and now Marinette are not actually accurate to East Asian eyes—I may be wrong, because I’ve only studied the features of the many East Asian people I’ve met, but I’m pretty sure that it’s much more common for East Asian eyes to not be angled or almond shaped. The slitted eye style came from fearful racist caricatures made by white people who saw monolids and didn’t understand them, then that interpretation became the pop culture standard. At least I think that’s it. Sorry, I should have added this to the last ask 😅 I’ll stop spamming you now
---
Thanks for the nuanced explanation of your stance! I would like it if Marinette showed more interest in her Chinese heritage (outside of using it as a tool to spend time with Adrien), and that would be a good angle to explore, I agree on that. I like her design change, since with the way she just has a hint of a monolid, it can cause the viewer to feel like she might have some Asian heritage without being sure, and then finding out that she's half Chinese and half French makes that make sense.

The Vourdalak: high quality gothic horror
The Vourdalak is a highly anticipated French gothic horror film directed by Adrien Beau in his feature film debut. Set in 18th-century Eastern Europe, the movie follows the Marquis Jacques Antoine, a French courtier who seeks refuge in a strange family's home after being attacked in the forest. The film is based on Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy's 1839 novella The Family of the Vourdalak and features a talented cast including Kacey Mottet Klein as the Marquis, Ariane Labed as Sdenka, and Grégoire Colin as Jegor. Beau, who previously worked in fashion design, brings a unique visual style to the film, shooting it in Super 16mm and using a marionette puppet operated by himself to portray the vampire patriarch Gorcha.
The Vourdalak premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and has been praised for its atmospheric, sensorial approach to the vampire genre. Beau's film subverts traditional vampire tropes by depicting an aristocrat among peasant vampires and emphasizing character development over flashy special effects.
With its retro vibe, elaborate costumes, and natural settings, The Vourdalak stands out as a refreshing addition to the horror landscape. The movie will receive a limited art house theatrical release in the US starting June 28, 2024, allowing audiences to experience its unique blend of gothic horror and folk fantasy.
Beau was inspired by the classic gothic source material but wanted to put his own unique spin on the vampire genre through his artistic sensibilities and unconventional filmmaking choices.

WIP Ask Game
Thanks @ninadove for the mention.
List the titles your top five priorities for WIP updates (link your fics for new readers!)
My Body Is a Cage (Unposted as of yet, alternative ending to Season 5, DARK but not the usual suspect. Featuring Adrien/Lila, 23-year-old characters, recovery, and people actually telling Adrien things. (It's a shock, I know) Writing as a gift for Selkie!)
The Prince In the Tower (Zine entry)
Untitled Full Rewrite (It's Felix Centered, shhh. The biggest change is the fate of his Amok when Colt dies.)
Gathering - If I can just get the last few chapters to agree with me. I keep getting directed by new shiney things.
Follow up to Runaway Dogs (I'm just sort of letting this one happen.)
An upcoming scene, event, or detail in each fic that you're looking forward to writing:
Cage is a big challenge for me, but I have uniquely enjoyed writing it. I can't wait to share it. It's honestly been a lot of fun to mess with. As a bonus, I had to look up French real estate, and some of the flats were so PRETTY.
I am so excited about this zine, and everyone else's entries look so NEAT
Felix and Pollen wasn't a match-up I had ever considered before, but I'm sorta jiving with it in an extreme way. Nothing else is going his way in this fic, so I have to give him something.
MORDRED.
Adrien has nothing but time, spite, and spray paint.
