Y’know Disney would never go for it but if they are in fact going to have Lucasfilm do anything with the Indiana Jones franchise beyond Dial of Destiny and “Indy stuff in Adventureland at the various parks” they could do worse than a Sophia Hapgood miniseries. Hell, set it in World War 2 and you can have either Anthony Ingruber or Alden Ehrenreich in makeup* as Indy in an episode or two.

Also I still have not been able to find out what artist did all the character pieces for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, I honestly don’t think LucasArts (sorry, Lucasfilm Games) even has records of that anymore

*yes I am aware that Disney would be more likely to just slap digitally de-aged Harrison Ford on top of them instead but I can dream

Penser que la pétillante Amy Madigan était déjà mariée à Ed Harris depuis 1983 et que c'est lui qui incarne la voix mystérieuse ; que ce fut le dernier film, à 76 ans, du grand Burt Lancaster ; que Frank Whaley retrouvera ensuite Costner en 1991 dans JFK ; que Costner venait de jouer dans le BILL DURHAM de Ron Shelton consacré au base-ball. Et me souvenir que j'adore ce film, ainsi que SNEAKERS, aussi écrit et réalisé par P. A. Robinson qui, pour cela, sera toujours dans mon panthéon cinéphilique.

James Earl Jones, RIP

Just heard the heartbreaking news, one of the greatest, most awesome and all time INCREDIBLE actors of all time, as well as one of the sweetest, kindest and most selfless human beings ever, has passed away. The seemingly immortal James Earl Jones, one of the most famous actors of his generation, well respected on both big and small screens AND on the stage for over SEVEN DECADES, respeonsible for portraying some of my favourite screen characters ever ... this might be the one that hurts me the most this year ...

Of course, like everybody, he will FOREVER be most closely associated with Star Wars, as the voice of probably the greatest screen villain of all time, Darth Vader.

But he was also King Jaffe Joffer, the father of Eddie Murphy's wayward prince in Coming to America and its sequel ...

The Counter Culture author Terence Mann in the magnificent Field of Dreams, as well as ...

NSA Agent Abbott in director Phil Alden Robinson's next film, the underrrated suspense thriller Sneakers ...

Simba's dad Mufasa in The Lion King ...

Jack Ryan's CIA boss and father figure, Admiral Jim Greer, in The Hunt For Red October, Patriot Games AND Clear & Present Danger ...
