I love your art! Do you have any art tips? Also, what do you use to draw/animate?
Ahhh, thank you!! That means so much to me <3 <3
Art Tips It may sound a little generic, but the biggest thing I find helpful is lots of practice! I find it especially helpful to draw a little every day; it doesn't need to be much, either. If I have a busy day, I try to at least do a little sketch before bed and before no time. You'll start to see some improvement.
I also suggest frequently looking at art you enjoy a lot! I like to closely observe some of my favorite artists' techniques and see if I can replicate certain things. Now, while it's not okay to directly copy someone's art for attention and such, I do find it helpful to closely reference it in personal work that you would not post for attention as it really helps your muscle memory without disrespecting your favorite artists.
And most importantly have fun with it! If you're not having fun with some art, take a break it helps immensely~
Art Programs I use Procreate for my art! It's a fairly cheap, one-time purchase program for Apple devices. If you are looking for free options or ones that are available on PC, I really like using Magma, Krita, and Sketchbook. They all have their pros and cons, but I was able to create a lot of my earlier art on those programs before I finally invested in an iPad.
If people are interested, I could do a showcase of the brushes that I use in Procreate sometime!
For animation software, I primarily use ToonSquid. It's fairly easy to use and pretty straightforward. I also use a mix of Capcut and Alight Motion as well for some transitions and such! They all allow for easy importing of audios and a nice array of brushes to use.
A little side note: I do not suggest Procreate Dreams as I tried it and it just doesn't sit with me personally.

Day 23 | File
The past remains buried for your brother set it alight
It only happened once. Suddenly. Only once. But it was horrific.
The PC had crashed while Alan was working. Between animate on frame 92, the stickfight page running a movie, and Minecraft trying to summon another fluffle of bunnies it was to much. The next thing Blue knew she was plunged into darkness. It was cold and her body ached as if dunked into icy water and held under despite her protests and pleas. Thoughts trailing into a mumbled haze as her senses seemed to betray her. And then it was over.
The first thing that she heard was a scream. Anguished and painful and…..off. She had curled tighter around herself, trying to right herself and fight the vertigo wanting to keep her down. “BLUE!!” Red was screaming now. That got Blue back up, surveying the pc. Her friends clustered around… “Orange?!” It…looked like him. For moments. Blue got a better look as she ran closer to the group. Lying in Green’s lap his form flickered. From orange to black in an erratic fashion Orange lay twitching and thrashing. Green held Orange’s arms and torso while Yellow held his legs. Even with their efforts in helping the hollow head still thrashed and screamed. Glassy eyes looking everywhere as if trying to find an exit for the pain Blue could only imagine. The most concerning parts were the flames. Each inch of Orange that had shifted to black had the occasional burst of fire accompanying it. Along his arms and legs and even a few screams had a burst of heat nearly singe Green’s face off. He still spoke gently to the quartet’s “leader”, despite the fear in his face and the look he shared with Yellow. “I know I know. We’ve got you Sec…you’re gonna be ok! We’re right here!”
All Green got was another choked scream and burst of flames from Orange’s hand. Searing his leg. “DO SOMETHING!” Blue wanted to answer that she didn't know what she Could do. But Red’s question wasn’t aimed at her. It was for Alan. The user stared dumbfounded at the screen. A hand moved over his mouth as the gears turned in his head. Blue didn’t even know if Alan could hear them let alone understand what was happening to Orange. But she screamed with Red nonetheless. “Please! You have to do something!” She gestured to Orange still spasming and then back at Alan “YOU MADE HIM! YOU CAN FIX HIM!!” Another beat of silence. Then the mouse started to move. Quickly moving to the task manager as Alan leaned in towards the monitor. With a click it opened. Blue tried to ignore the sinking feeling it gave her. The memory of being erased for a moment, the fear even if she returned to the site unharmed, clawing at the recesses of her mind wanting attention. She ignored the plea as Alan’s mouse hovered over Orange’s file. He hesitated for a moment, unsure. Ending the task didn’t work….and where would he even end up? Yellow pulled back, nearly avoiding a kick from Orange, as they ran to the window. Climbing up the side they dived into the file, feet barely visible as they did….something. Blue wasn’t sure what. But Orange’s screams quieted to whimpers and the jolts slowed to small twitches. “DONE!” Yellow sat back up, hands raised to not touch anything else. It worked. Orange sagged into Green, a puff of smoke leaving his mouth with a sob. Green petted his head, squeezing their friend. “See…….it’s fine……you’re ok Orange…....it's all ok...” . . .
Yellow paced outside the group’s room, letting their head bob back and forth as they walked. A hand was placed on their cheek to stop the motion. “You’re gonna make yourself dizzy.” Yellow jumped a little hearing Blue, but relaxed into her touch. “....how is fae?” “Faer ok. Exhausted and has some burns on his hand, but he’ll live.” Another sigh of relief from Yellow, pressing more into Blue’s hand. “Thank goodness….”
A beat of silence. “......what did you do?” Blue asked “When you went into the files.” “....straightin’ things out?”
It had been a mess when Yellow dipped their head into the file. Reeking of smoke lines of code were warped and distorted. Their hands ache and felt like an icicle was drived into their palms as Yellow grabbed the lines and put them back where they prayed they belonged.
“I….dunno. I just reacted? Put things where I thought they’re meant to go. It worked ‘least…”
“It did.”
“.....I’m…..gonna take a walk.”
“Ok…let me know if you need-”
“I know…”
Yellow didn’t let Blue finish as they walked off. Missing their friends worried look, but she didn't follow. Disappearing back into the room. Orange’s code…..it scared Yellow a little. It wasn't Like the rest of them. It was more compact. Loaded with lines and commands that seemed to lead to nowhere. Variables and signatures that seemed to advanced for what Orange was made for. Along with smoke they felt their skin prick with electricity. Shaking their head Yellow headed towards the dining room. They could only hope it wouldn't happen again. They wouldn't find out Why.

Krita don't let me render/export the animation, so I had to export every single frame and put into capcut, but IMPORT AUDIO IS A PRO FEATURE IN PC CAPCUT so I just took the frames where I drew something to download it on my phone and edit it in alight motion. I probably won't finish it because I really don't wanna download every single frame of a finished frame per frame animation

what do you use to animate? your tweening is some of the best ive ever seen but i have no idea how you do it
thank you so much!!! i usually use toonsquid, alight motion or after effects. i'll go over what i think of the 3: toonsquid: absolutely incredible imo. best animation app for ipad hands down. only costs about 8 pounds, or 10 dollars if you live in the US, and it is not a subscription. you pay once and have everything. the tweening system is simple and takes not too long to work out if you know what you're doing.
alight motion: ive recently gone though an alight motion divorce. sadly it is a subscription, but it is also basically just ipad after effects. VERY good for tweening, effects, and editing, but my god it can get laggy, thats why i moved to after effects when i started college and got a student free version
after effects: adobe sucks. pirate it. but as an editing programme, oh my god man. i regret to say it is so good. the graphs are a bit tricky, im still figuring it out, but man it does the job so well. its like alight motion on crack. using it for the first time was like moving from a nokia to a gaming pc. anyways yeah that it thanks for askinbjk

Random questions if you don't mind! <3
1- How you do these gradient colours in the title?
2- Where you do these headers for your hcs?
Thanks if you answer! You are very creative! :D
Heyy! thank you for the asks<3
1- the gradients is something very complicated to explain but ill try my best to just give a quick summary.
I first go and create my title without writing anything else, just the title, go to chrome and open the Tumblr website (make sure its in "PC version" if ur on mobile or else it wont work)
i edit the drabble and go to the settings, there are a "rich text" box, click on it and then click HTML.
ok, this is where it gets complicated
you will open another page called "text colorizer" write the title you want in the writing box.
there will be a box with "one color" click on it and there will be alot of options, click on the three or the other version you desire of the type of gradient.
there will be two codes when ur done picking the colors.
(tip: if you have a specific banner with specific colors, sometimes to make the title match the banners colors i go to color picker website and upload the image that i used on the banner)
ok, back to the code, you copy the last one.
i recommend you to go to text replacer and put ";" to replace with nothing, but its just a recomendation because it can bug :C
then you copy the replaced text go back to the Tumblr page, there will be a "<p> TEXT <p>" replace that with the code
and boom! ur done.
(it may appear a little "code not supported" but dont worry, it still works)
after that you can go back to the Tumblr app to add some details.
2- i do it on Alight Motion, i go to the custom size and put "1500 x 500" and then i put the images i want with some details! ✨ (i use the transparent background)
thats all and thank you for the compliment, i appreciate it<3
the websites i talked about:
if my explanation is too confusing about the gradient, theres a tutorial on YouTube! if your on mobile just do everything the person says in the "Pc version" option that chrome has.
xoxo<3

i was working on a my bread was burnt to a crisp animation and once i got done with the first gif i realized none of the things i had could actually let me do this how i want to.
alight motion wont let you upload gifs and capcut is straight up ass. flipaclip is also hell to deal with.
if anyone had any pc/mobile animation apps which work better and are free, please lmk. i feel like ill never be able to animate properly.
sorry for kinda ranting, ill upload the only thing i got done before i literally had to quit.

heyy what program do you use for your edits? they are epic
hey, thank u! ❤️
I use after effects and sony vegas pro on my pc to make my edits. I’ve been using them since I was like 15 bc I’m the most comfortable with them but you might be comfortable using something else first like alight motion or capcut on the appstore.
if you do use AE or SVP (or both like I do) to video edit, it can be overwhelming at first since there’s sm stuff so I recommend watching tutorials to get the basics down on how to use them properly. once you get the hang of it though, it’s pretty easy.
