I am absurdly fascinated by cut songs in musicals. Lyric changes maybe. But why cut songs? Fall Fair Suite is way better than Uranium Suite. Bring on the Men? Catchy as heck. Chant II (as opposed to Chant Reprise)? Yes give Persephone more to do. Congratulations? Roast of the century.
It also sucks because I'll be singing something and someone will ask what musical it's from and I'll get the whole "I've followed this musical longer than you and there is NO SUCH SONG."
Why do this to me? Why cause such derision?

i most DEFINITELY need hatsune song recs
YOU'VE COME TO THE CORRECT WEEB
fav miku songs:
world is mine: my intro to miku and the world of vocaloids it was... SOMETHING ahahaha i adore it to bits it's so so sassy and unhinged (like all vocaloid song lol)
cendrillon: duet with kaito and it's so pretty and melancholic and dark i am obsessed also there's a miraculous ladybug amv of it it's insanely good with the vocalist covering it oh my GOD
cantarella: also with kaito!! same-ish vibes with cendrillon very royalty but this one is more like passionate romance i also love love love it ugh
popipo: for the most insane hilariously good vibes pls watch the video for it too you'll cry laughing it's so ridiculously adorable and just insane
senbonzakura: so so catchy i also adore the video for it with all of the cameos from the others' they're adorable but also this song has so many political undernotes lmao
look this way, baby: INSANEEEE so sassy so so sassy i know it WORD by WORD i strut and flick my hair to this in the middle of the night on full blast it makes me feel so happy i can't explain it
online game addicts sprechchor: it's so adorable it's about being addicted to gaming 🤭🤭 i adore the graphics too i had screenshots of the video as my laptop screensaver for so long
tell your world: this!! this i cry every time i listen to it it's just so so hopeful and positive and sweet the lyrics make me tear up and the melody is so beautiful and the chorus will always make my heart feel lighter!!
cat food: world is mine was my first intro BUT!! this was the song i heard afterwards and spiraled afterwards oml i had this downloaded on my old tiny laptop and mind you this was 9 years ago i knew the words to this by heart and somehow still do 😭😭don't look at the lyrics. don't look at most of project diva arcade's lyrics lmfaooo
decorator: THIS TOO!! this one came out after i got into vocaloid and it's so festive and the main lot are included and they're all so adorable and the lyrics are so so wholesome and nice and this one fills my heart with so much warmth and joy i also know this one by heart!! i also learned the choreo ahahahah and performed it to the wall of my room ugh it's just so upbeat and happy i have a very special connection to this one
odds&ends: the lyrics for this one kills :( i sometimes feel so overwhelmed with how heartbreaking the lyrics are but miku saying you should my voice and that you can use her if you can't do it yourself gave me so much courage ;-; her saying she'll be the voice you can't let out ;-;
others!:
echo by gumi: this one is devastating and i used to relate to the lyrics so much back when i was dealing with the depths of my confusion and anger and loneliness ugh
copycat by gumi: actually you know what i generally adore vocacircus so you can check out their songs
meltdown by rin: a cult classic you just vibe to this you just have to it's one of the catchiest vocaloid songs imo i also was obsessed with this for a whole three years so the lyrics are in the bag.
electric angel by rin and len: MY GOD THIS ONE IS ONE OF THOSE TOO gets me so happy and just really my heart feels so full the lyrics are so cute and adorable and quirky it just makes me tear up from how much better i feel every time i listen to it
lie by luka: (also made by vocacircus im telling you!!) this one is heartbreak packed into a song. one sided love hurts, breakups hurt (apparently lol and i got to feel the extent of it thru this song) and the lyrics punch you with every word. some of my favourite heartbreak lyrics. ("and maybe one day i'll get to see your smile in the arms of someone who loves you like i do / i'll play along writing our song, we are perfect, i love you / why dont i cry for you? / why aren't you gone? / i know you're not that strong") and maybe they aren't the saddest thing you've heard and i know it isn't mine, but the production is so empty-feeling and you can feel the ache from every single instrument and sound in the track and the visuals tell a story and—
reboot with miku, luka, and zimi: this one wrecked me after my first watch and listen. it's about three friends who drift apart after a tragedy and just. the resentment and guilt shown there. and the ending just. it's such a melancholic song. the video makes me sob every time esp 3:25-3:35 if you decide to watch it!
teddy bear by rin: don't watch or listen to this is you're not okay mentally bc i wasn't when i came across it. many sad and disturbing ideations (like a ton of other vocaloid songs istg ppl create to vent) and trauma dumpings but the song is genuinely so good

I threatened a 40-minute video of annoyance with this, but I'm lazy, so here's a time-stamped dick pull instead:
It's the catchiest song in the whole fucking movie, and it does nothing to earn any love or devotion from any version of its audience.
0:36: "you got yourselves on the front page." accurate.
0:40: "So what, you get your picture in the pape, so what's that get you, huh?" -- A fair question from a kid who understands via selling papes how quickly headlines change. Which is established earlier in the film in a way that kids were meant to pick up on.
0:41: "What are you talkin' about, huh?" / (various newsies saying 'shut up you've been in a bad mood, etc.) / "You're glum and dumb. What's the matter with you? You're in the papes you're famous! You're famous, you get anything you want!" -- Previous scenes have set up that the Newsies understand the rules of Yellow Journalism, so to have Race get annoyed that another seasoned Newsie questions why it matters they're on the front page when they all know the front page will change basically instantly is to undercut what we've already been told the Newsies know themselves. Also, this has been made clear to the kids who are watching who undoubtedly picked it up.
0:58: "And that's what's so great about New York!" this is meant to show that New York is great because anyone can be famous for one edition. But we've seen the Newsies understand that this means nothing in the greater story. Having any Newsie in this scene claim front page status makes anyone famous doesn't work with the story that's already been set up. And, again, this has been made clear for THE KIDS IN THE AUDIENCE.
0:59: "A Pair of new shoes with matching laces" / "A permanent box at Cheapshead Races." / "A porcelin tub with boiling water" -- growing up in the early 90s, I'm sure I identified with the idea of new shoes with matching laces (it was a THING), but I sure as shit didn't have any sense of why having an easier time gambling would make a fellow kid happy (because I wasn't raised by OR a degenerate child gambler). And while I happened to grow up in a situation where I did NOT always have hot water on tap, the phrasing here didn't provide any explanation about why I should care about someone wanting a tub with BOILING WATER.
1:08: "A Saturday night with the Mayor's daughter!" This movie was aimed, at the oldest, towards 10-12 year olds. My best wishes to anyone who felt a tingle in their jeans at this moment and spent many years wondering why they wanted to fuck pirates.
1:13: "Look at me, I'm the King of New York." Vinnie from Dougie Howser MD was why I watched this movie the moment I could get my hands on it in my own home, and he delivers. Thank you, Max Casella. You did great.
1:22: "Nobbing with all the muckety-mucks…" I respect Christian Bale as an actor. He is SO BAD in this movie. He can't sing or dance for shit, and I wanna backhand whoever cast him in this role.
1:34: The Newsies fighting over the paper when the movie has etablished they know being on the front page doens't mean shit is a fucking problem.
1:38: "A courdrory suit with fitted knickers / a mezzanine seat to see the flickers / Havana cigars that cost a quarter" Are you just listing shit that no kid in the early 90s is going to be able to understand as important or were you all too high on coke to give a shit???
1:47: "An Editor's desk for the star reporter" See previous comment. No fucking child in any point knows what an editor is, why that desk is important, or what a star reporter is. Disney was just coked out at this point.
1:53: Bull Pullman put his whole cunt into this performance, and I love that for him. The script never could decide how much emphasis he should have, but he showed up in every scene as Cool Uncle Cunt and showed them. Good for him.
2:01: Calm down every spotlight-stealer we knew in high school.
2:10: "Proud yet humble, he's the king of New York." -- Max Casella proving why I loved this movie when young.
2:18: "Tomorrow they might wrap fishes in it / but I was a star for one whole minute!" Proving--AGAIN--that these kids know how fragile the news cycle is, yet we're supposed to think they're all excited about making the front page????
2:24: The dancing is in no way with the beat of the song, and I am pretty sure my molars no longer exist because I ground them to dust.
2:32: They are now in sync with the beat, but my molars are still fucking dust.
2:37: This is a kid power movie. Pullman shouldn't be jumping on a table to sing along.
2:45: No kid is going to appreciate a sit-down game of dance-and-slap, and Pullman joining in is further disconnection from the overall kid power theme of the movie. He's supposed to be their ally, not their equal. It's a mistake to have him be part of this moment.
2:49: "Once a piker" -- No fucking child in the early 90s is going to know that "Piker" is an insult about a "simplistic" person who thinks they have more impact on business than they actually hold.

Fluorescents - Scream It At Me
For as much as pop-punk has been back in the mainstream, there’s one kind that I don’t think has been represented — neon pop-punk. In the late 00s, and early 2010s, bands like Forever The Sickest Kids, All Time Low, Every Avenue, Hit The Lights, and many others, dominated the pop-punk scene, and it was called “neon pop-punk,” named for how a lot of the bands dressed in neon colors, how bright and synth-heavy their music was, and how they placed a lot more emphasis on the “pop” than punk. I, for one, absolutely loved it, and a lot of favorite bands from that era came from the neon scene. In recent years, as pop-punk has been getting bigger in the mainstream again, I’ve noticed that a few bands have been either turning more into a catchy and neon-ish band, or they’re immediately jumping into that sound. State Champs’ last album, 2022’s Kings Of The New Age, is their catchiest album yet, and bands like Stand Atlantic, Broadside, and Honey Revenge are releasing albums that are way more pop than punk.
The latest band I found in this vein is one that I’ve been subtly following for a while on TikTok, and that’s Chicago outfit Fluorescents. They finally dropped a debut album, entitled Scream It At Me, and it’s composed of songs they’ve released within the last couple of years. These guys caught my attention by having a very pop-focused version of pop-punk, and reminding me of a lot of 00s bands, whether it’s the lyrics, vocals, melodies, and their overall sound. They also have a few other subtle influences, like some easycore and hip-hop in spots, but they mainly have a very pop-influenced sound. I didn’t know their debut was coming out until a few days before, but I was ecstatic, and to no surprise, I’m head over heels for this thing. This is one of the best albums I’ve heard all year, and one of the best pop-punk albums I’ve heard in a long while.
These guys take everything I love about the genre, especially back when I really listened to it, and make it so well. They also subtly modernize the sound, too, especially with the lyrics, but it doesn’t sound immediately dated or cringy. The biggest thing that works here, and why I keep returning to this album, are its hooks. This thing has hooks for days, and despite being a 34-minute album, I’ve played this a few times in a row before, just because I can’t get enough. It’s so sugary sweet, you might get a toothache from this record. From front to back, I always have a smile on my face when I listen to this record. Every song really sticks out, and that’s a rare feat on a pop-punk record these days.
It helps that this band has a few other tricks up their sleeve, whether it’s a few different vocalists, and a sound that manages to have the songs flow together quite well without running together. They make each song stand out enough, and it works so well. Lyrically, these guys are nothing that special, but a lot of these lyrics remind me of bands I used to listen to back in the day. One of their vocalists reminds me a ton of the vocalist of Hit The Lights, and it just takes me back almost 16 years ago listening to their sophomore album in my sophomore year of high school. They just have great chemistry, and the multiple vocalists help the album from getting stale.
I just really love this record, but it’s a mixture of nostalgia for this sound that I forgot how much I loved, and just how well done it is. I usually find a few pop-punk albums each year that I love a lot, especially after getting back into the genre around four or five years ago, and this may be the best one, unless something random sneaks up behind it. A couple of other great pop-punk albums have come out, too, like the new Neck Deep record that came out in January, for some reason, but Fluorescents is easily one of the best unsigned bands that you’re not listening to.

A very loose prompt: a while ago I found a bunch of Stone tower temple theme covers (especially NostalgiCore's and TheNamelessBard's covers), and that got me in a Revalink mood: first, a pretty straightforward idea of Revali and BotW!Link somehow walking around Stone Tower ruins and wondering just what those ruins were in its prime, and second: the tunes living on, and Revali or Link dancing to one of them while the other is watching (also, the fact that one of the catchiest fan lyrics go "danger lurks around every bend, you cannot succed alone; sing the song, let go of your grief, solider comes whose heart is stone" could be pretty easily made to fit revalink: both Link and Revali have reasons to craft an image of themselves as an unsheakeble warrior (Link literally stopped talking out of fear of saying the wrong thing, and Revali tries to look like the most arrogant Rito to ever walk Hyrule, despite evidence to the countrary) as someone who may as well have a heart of stone, and both of them have things they grieve about, so them going together through Ikana valley - a place that requires putting ghosts to rest - would sound a lot like fulfilling the lyrics. Bonus points if they actually need to solve the Stone Tower puzzles together to go back to BotW and key Ikana characters are still around to help them(not really ship relevant, I just thought it would be lowkey funny when BotW boys would bump into Ikana undead and learn that one of the Hero incarnations had shown up here already).
anon i first want to sincerely apologize it took me so long to answer this ask because (1) i never finished playing majora's mask so i can't write a good enough fic to do justice to mm lore and (2) it was sent during a time when i was probably prepping for an exam. i'm still prepping for exams, i have another one next wednesday 😭
but i still took the time to go find and listen the covers you were mentioned! i hope these were the right ones, because they went kinda hard ☝️😩 they both made me think about a tangled au like flynn rider!revali x rapunzel!link, like that one scene where everyone is dancing together in the town center or whatever lol. i couldn't find the one you mentioned with fan lyrics though but if you'd like to send them, or if anyone else knows where it's from, please do!
iirc, termina is a completely different world from hyrule and oot!link somehow gets in after an altercation with skull kid who has the majora's mask. spoilers for people who haven't played mm? but i just read that termina was a creation of skull kid's own mind so it's not even a real world 😳 so i'm interested to know how link and revali got into the stone tower temple in the first place, or if another temple of the same name perhaps exists in hyrule analogous to the one in termina. like would they run into skull kid somewhere in botw's hyrule? or find the mask on their own (since majora's mask is available in botw as dlc) and somehow termina still exists within the mask? link why the fuck would you put on the mask what da hell?
i would assume that termina's existence relies on skull kid's active envisionment of it and link's constant resetting with the ocarina that causes the perpetual three-day time loop and prevents the moon from falling. and in addition, that termina was created with the purpose of being skull kid's plaything to . hurt and kill people out of his frustration? like i said, i never got to finish mm so i'm kind of iffy on the details of the story sawrryy ✋😭 but it's like. does termina go against the conventions of time? if we assume that termina is a creation of skull kid's imagination, will it be able to continue existing as its own world? will it always be in a three-day loop or after oot!link saves termina, does it continue in a regular continuous flow of time, therefore resulting in the ruins of the stone tower temple? would places like clock town still be thriving thousands of years later? like what if link and revali met skull kid somehow in botw, pissed him off, got dragged in termina, and had to go exactly through what oot!link did in order to escape LMAOOO
i could imagine revali and link bickering about how the other was the reason why they got into this mess, and then they step into clock town from within the clock tower and are completely shocked because they were just in the lost woods and now they're in the middle of a town??? you mentioned wanting to see them meet key mm characters specifically from ikana, but since i don't know any of them (i'm sorry again 😭), imagine link and revali meeting anju at the stockpot inn just trying to get a room to sleep and anju being like. huh. your name is link, too? and having to explain to revali n link that a child in green with the same name and disposition as botw!link had come to termina years ago and saved their town from the moon falling and destroying it. and revali and link are just like. The moon was WHAT? and a CHILD saved you????
link and revali joining in during the carnival of time, and maybe the carnival of time now has a segment where they retell the story of the child in green who saved termina through song and dance, and link gets roped into dancing with the townspeople during the stone temple tower piece. he doesn't know the dance at all, but one thing about link is that he picks up very quickly on everything 😙 so revali is off to the sides of the town center with everyone else crossing his arms, watching link as he begins to catch onto the choreography and keeping in step with the rest of the dancers. he spins and twirls and claps with the other dancers, a smile growing on his face as the song continues, and revali is completely enamored. link had always been beautiful to him, but he was constantly surprisingly revali. this might become one of revali's favorite aspects of link's beauty now.
by the end of the dance, link is panting, sweating, and his cheeks are flushed with a rosy glow. revali's eyes are still on him; they never left link at all. someone nudges revali with their elbow and he glances at them briefly. "that one yours?" they say with a smirk, pointing their chin at link. revali looks back at link, who's smiling brightly thanking and complimenting the other dancers. the little hylian then catches revali's eye, and his bright grin becomes a shy, but warm smile.
revali's gaze softens. "he's not a object to possess," he says to the stranger. he watches as link bows slightly to the other dancers in farewell, then begins to jog back over to revali. "but if there's any possession occuring, it would be his hold on my heart." the stranger says nothing, eyes wide.
once link approaches, his jog falters into a walk. "have fun?" revali says, rather softly.
link nods, smiling. "i didn't think i'd learn it that fast, but it was a really fun dance."
revali hums. "well, it looked like you had fun doing it. ready to turn in for the night?"
"mhm," link replies, and revali can hear the drowsiness beginning to seep into his ever-slumberous songbird's voice. the little hylian then moves forward to cling to revali's wing, and the rito glances at the stranger who's been watching their exchange the entire time.
"enjoy the rest of your evening," revali says primly to him. he tosses his braids over his shoulder as they turn away to walk back to the inn. while he didn't "own" link, it was true, at least, that his heart was for link to own.
i don't want this to get too long and end up misremembering details or something, but imagine some of the lyrics of the stone tower temple song resonating too deeply with revali and link after they think about it later, so they ask anju about it and she tells them about the actual stone tower temple in ikana valley that the song talks about and maybe that's how they end up traveling to the temple, exploring the ruins, somehow getting booby-trapped inside, and having to complete old-school dungeon puzzles to get out 😄
that's all from me for now. if anyone else is interested in writing for this prompt, go for it 🫣

first round of shuffle units is complete! because i actually don’t have a life, i wrote an entire essay on my thoughts about each one. warning: i really did just ramble on and on. keep in mind that this is just my opinion, i’m probably objectively wrong in all honesty. i think that overall every single one of the shuffle units were a lot of fun and i hope we get more of them in the future!
AtoZ: song is a 10/10 banger, it’s probably still my favorite of the shuffle unit songs. all the members of the unit are so much fun and bounce off well with each other. if i had one complaint it’s that the outfit doesn’t speak to me very much.
XXVeil: song is absolutely delightful to listen to, probably the third or fourth best. i think the concept is fun, i think that each member selected was a perfect choice. very solid all around.
Branco: song is definitely an acquired taste. i’m still flip-flopping on whether i really enjoy it or whether i find it grating and i think that tends to be the norm -- opinions on it get split down the middle. i think the concept is 100% perfect though, the winter frost fairies look is adorable on all four of these little guys.
Ring.a.Bell: i’m so sorry but i sleep through this song every time. it’s definitely not my usual cup of tea (i actually don’t know why this song doesn’t speak to me, all the boys have such lovely voices). the same goes for the concept, even though i usually enjoy the bride aesthetic. i just think the outfits are a little too plain for a whole bridal theme. i would love to see happyele try the bridal theme again with slightly more creative/elaborate outfits.
Moonlight Disco: i know that’s not their unit name, it’s just always what i think of when this shuffle unit is mentioned. the song is iconic, i think just about everyone agrees. it is a lot of fun and each member of this unit is absolutely perfect, i would never want to switch them out for anyone else. i think that the shuffle theme is a *ton* of fun and not something i would expect from enstars, i really hope we get more unique concepts in the future.
La Mort: song is a complete banger, i had it in my head for a solid week. each member of the unit is absolutely perfect, i couldn’t see any of them being removed from this shuffle. i also adore the concept, i love that there’s an extra bit of lore layered on top of our usual enstars lore, like a little bit of extra whipped cream on top.
Puffy Bunny: oh i don’t know where to start with this one. i think that song is very interesting but it’s not something i would ever put into a playlist or listen to outside of the game. i think that boys in the unit are all very good vocalists but the song is definitely not to my taste. the concept is also not to my taste although they’re starting to convince me that hiiro and mika could pull off just about any look they’re given.
Butou-Kai: according to the wiki, this is the shuffle name but my deepest apologies if i got it wrong i’m actually illiterate. i think that the song is pretty good, like very solid everyone has nice vocals. unfortunately this is just one of those concepts that would never, ever speak to me. i’m very very asexual i see one of these boys shirtless and my first instinct is you’re gonna get cold sweetie.
Blend+: i’m still sort of unsure about blend+ for a couple of different reasons. i think that the song is an absolute delight. it’s not the catchiest of the shuffle unit songs or the most creative but it’s still such a joy to listen to. i think that concept is adorable and cute and it suits a lot of the members really well (like koga?? what a surprise). i don’t know if it’s the other shuffle units coloring my opinion, but i think this shuffle might have been just too safe? there’s nothing bad about it, it’s just not as creative as some of the others we’ve gotten (no hate, it’s still so cute)
Flambé: there are so many things to say about flambé. i had a meltdown the day the concept was announced and then another one when the song was released, they’re both so good. the song is probably my second favorite of them all (might change the more i listen to it) and it has my absolute favorite concept. punk rock train conductors is just such an out there aesthetic but it really, really works.
if you held me at gunpoint and asked me to pick my three favorites, it’d probably be flambé, la mort, and xxveil (it hurts my soul not to put atoz as one of my top three). i just love the creativity, the concept, the song. all three of them are so good!
i really hope that we get more really cool and creative shuffle events in the future, the first round definitely had some surprises. if you made it all the way to the bottom of my feature length dissertation hi! have a good day!

My reaction to The Royal Three's performance:
Did Minnie Choi not get a front part at all? She always seemed on the side. That doesn't quite make sense to me.
Who was singing? They were all doing the lips, but who was singing? I thought they might be doing it different vocalists for the different vocal sections (verse, rap, pre-chorus) 3 parts, 3 voices. If Tiara was the only singer, why have everyone lip sync? It also means at times nobody sang major lines that should have been sang. And at one point, Tessa Park was the only one seen singing... which makes you think she's sung solo, but then Minnie doesn't get a part like that, and then at the end Tiara sings solo 🤯 what is going on?
Stop showing off their feet, lol. There feet just look like shapeless blobs
The choreography was good. The posing was good. The lights were good. Maybe I won't scream, but... 😬
The girl literally teleporting at times. From one spot to another. It's not flattering.
I almost wish they'd just used a rise up stage in the end for the flying part. It looked a bit weird. My brain wants to pull apart if the wiring was done right and I don't want to have to think about it.
Minnie Choi! I actually wanted her to have some centre time. Like Tessa did. But Minnie didn't get any. She felt like a background character, but there suppose to be a trio. Why have them all line up on stage...? It is too confusing lol 🤯🤯🤯
Those dance rolls were cool. How did those big jumps work though? I need a picture!
Tiara already has a mic. It is the catchiest thing going around in my head. But TIARA ALREADY HAS A MIC!!! 🤯😵 (This feels a bit like torture)

nine (9) people you'd like to know better
I got tagged by the wonderful @five4boarding and tumblr never gives me a little +1 notification icon when I get tagged in anything (like any other type of note would, so I don’t get it!!), so I live in fear that I’m always gonna miss these BUT I caught this one at least 👉😎👉
Last song: during my morning walk I randomly remembered the catchiest depression bop and then remembered the first time I looked up the guy's wiki and saw that he played hockey and I was like you're telling me a knife-footed ice-gremlin sang this???? (swiss juniors but still high level for his age bracket I think?) Anyway... Tomorrow May Not Be Better (specifically this version https://open.spotify.com/track/0V1quXmlVC6eH5kcfYPWEW ) by Bastian Baker still slaps to this very day 😌👌
Currently watching: My longstanding guilty pleasure is docs/commentary videos about any and all scams, particularly mlms/pyramid schemes. So it should come as no surprise that my brand new guilty pleasure is debt confessions/financial audits on youtube 🙈 I've been been watching a few by caleb hammer whose gimmick is that he gordon ramsey style shames people who come in with their financial records and he's like hey. why do you have $120,000 in consumer debt? why did you finance an ipad for your literal infant child?? why have you spent 30 dollars multiple times a day every day at dunkin for the last 3 months??? (the last one is an exaggeration but the first two I have seen LOL). His thumbnails are wretched I hate them so, so much, and his advice of living spartan-like for a few years to dig yourself out of the hole is ehhh maybe good in theory but generally not exactly...practical. And I think going cold turkey when you're used to constant impulse buying is basically a recipe for just eventually losing control and going on a bender. But. I'm nosy and love hearing about how people be spending their money so that's the best part of the videos for me lol
Currently reading: haven't picked up something new yet BUT I juuuust finished An Unauthorised Fan Treatise which was SO GOOD I literally slammed it nonstop for two days until I finished it. It's formatted like a rpf conspiracy theory livejournal where a fangirl of a supernatural-drama show compiles evidence that the two lead actors are secretly dating. BUT it's noted that the livejournal has been submitted as evidence into for a murder trial so y'know TWISTS AND TURNS lol. There's just something about the format that really compels me, idk I already love reading primers and conspiracies for hrpf couples that I literally have zero investment in and never will- I just enjoy the way the girlies spin a good narrative. (and also watching video essays about the uhhh less casual to super trainwreck ones like the whole larry fiasco even though I never got into 1D, as well as general fandom fiascos like msscribe and snapewives etc etc IT'S ALL SO FASCINATING TO ME 🍿👀) So it was a really natural fit for me to read in a fictional setting. And it's free to read! https://gottiewrites.com/2019/10/14/31/
Current obsession: I’m a hobbyist game maker so at all times I am rotating little bits of character development, experimental mechanics, aesthetics, ui design etc etc in my brain but it becomes much more mentally consuming during the off-season bc god knows when bruins hockey is live it is Featured Live 24/7 In My Brain. But for now... my OCs on my mind 😌💭
tagging (if you want to): OH NO I’M SO BASHFUL I NEVER KNOW WHO TO TAG IN THESE 🫣🫣🫣 uh uh uhh maybe @ghostgeno @alavenderleaf @tylerbertuzzi @reavenedges-lies @krugstrash if y’all are so inclined?? but also no pressure no pressure again I’m just NOSY hehe

honestly i am lowkey obsessed with how terrible we didn’t start the fire is at being a song while also being among the the catchiest songs ever
this is a song that includes a man screaming CHILDREN OF THALIDOMIDE and then the next lyric is buddy holly, ben hur / space monkey, mafia
it is just one man, listing historical events more or less in order with no context or end and then layering in a chorus so catchy you will BEG YOUR BRAIN to stop thinking about it
i just appreciate that level of aimless, technically skilled chaos for some reason
eta i know why he wrote it oh god please stop telling me, just because billy joel lived through these events doesn’t make them not historical events and i like the song you don’t have to defend it to me, billy joel even agrees, CHILL

not to be an old cranky leftist but going forward i think those of us who live in the us need to remember a protest is not a group powerwalk to register polite disapproval with those in power
a protest is an implied threat. a protest says there are a lot of us, and we do not like what you’re doing. we are giving you a chance to course correct before we take things to the next level.
if there’s no shared commitment to the potential of moving to that next level: a protest is useless and essentially just public performance art.

Lil Murky is back with a new album release: Emotionally Murked.
Lil Murky is back with one of his catchiest and most impactful releases to date: Emotionally Murked. The album has a modern and polished production, which really allows the mix to stand out for its clarity and depth. The low end is really fat and punchy, while the vocal sound is smooth and articulate. Lil Murky’s work has often been compared to artists the likes of Kid Cudi, Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION, but he certainly has a character of his own, as opposed to simply trying to copy other influences along the way.
This release will hit you with the melodies of modern trap and the energy of old-school hip-hop, going for a timeless, yet modern feel. The artist is truly awesome at expressing himself, operating at a high level across the board. Not only is the songwriting on point, but the lyrical flow is also impressive.
The thrill of creativity is apparent here, and Lil Murky’s music sounds very innovative, yet catchy and timeless. However, there is also a very unique element to it, bringing such a relatable listening experience to the table.
We’ve also had the opportunity to catch up with the artist for an interview!
I love how you manage to render your tracks so personal and organic. Does the melody come first, or do you focus on the beat the most?
The melody comes first always , as it’s the most rememberable part of the song. Which also makes it easier to write the rest of the song. Reason for this is, all you need to do is fill the gaps
Do you perform live? If so, do you feel more comfortable on a stage or within the walls of the recording studio?
Definitely would fill more comfortable within the walls of a studio for sure , as it’s just me and this mic. But I can’t really have a say cause I haven’t performed yet.
If you could only pick one song to make a “first impression” on a new listener, which song would you pick and why?
Motions or lost the darkness for sure because there unique and mainstream to the point I could hear them on the radio. But also I get the most positive feedback for those songs the most
What does it take to be “innovative” in music?
Changing it up and keeping it fresh is exactly what this project offers ive messed around with 10 different genres such as Hyperpop ,melodic rap ,rock pop Ect.
And I keep trying new things in every song that comes
Any upcoming release or tour your way?
My next release will probably be late June or early July,
Which will be a single. I plan to drop monthly , to help grow my fan base
Anywhere online where curious fans can listen to your music and find out more about you?

25. Pump the Stakes with Jon Gabrus
Plot summary:
A man named Jeff tells his children Jack and Lucy about sex and meets a cop named Officer Janette Woman who gives him her card. Meanwhile 911 operators don't do their jobs properly. Jack and Lucy are forced to swallow their father's weed bags. They almost choke to death but they don't. Jack talks about how he wants to kiss alligators and then they see one on a cliff. Shockingly it's not because they're really high but they're also SO high. The alligator doesn't want to eat humans because he just desperately wants popcorn. Meanwhile an airline pilot gets drunk and finds a flamingo in the engine. Janette calls flamingos a racial slur on accident. Jack climbs on the back of the alligator and Jeff calls 911. It's revealed that Jeff's wife and third child are both dead and he divorced both of them. Janette and Jeff awkwardly flirt and Janette goes to help Jack but he rides the alligator back to the zoo on his own while Lucy bakes a pie. The alligator is gifted 8 days and nights of nutritional yeast and Jack tells him that he doesn't want to sleep with him but he does want to be best friends. Jeff sees the ghost of his first son Raphael and his ex wife who says she's happy for him as long as he's happy. The family does to Outback Steakhouse
Best quotes:
• "Your dad's always edging!"
• "You're not going to find yourself fucking a lagoon monster if you don't say yes to new experiences"
"And that's why I know for sure I'm not gay "
• "Hm I love the mouthfeel of this
sumatra-"
"HEY WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING DOWN THE PHONES ARE LIT UP LIKE A GODDAMN MENORAH!"
"JEREMIAH!!"
• "8 people might be being stabbed by alligators, calm down"
"If you're gonna wanna fuck a swamp thing you gotta be in better shape"
"I DONT WANNA FUCK A SWAMP THING!"
"BUT YOU NEED TO BE OPEN TO IT!"
Best songs:
• Yes We Get it Calm Down
• Janette Woman
• I'm So High
Thoughts Overall:
Wow this starts with a ridiculously awkward sex talk song aptly titled "Pump the Breaks (On This Conversation)." Do you ever have to pause whatever you're watching and pace a little before returning to something because the second hand embarrassment is so bad? Well that's what I had to do MULTIPLE times. This episode is fantastic otherwise. I don't get the jeremiah joke but it's fucking hysterical I love when Zach and Jess say things simultaneously. Yes We Get it Calm Down is one of the catchiest songs I've heard on my relisten so far. I loved the parts of this episode that didn't make me flash back to my godawful childhood sex talk. This episode is about children getting high, 911 operators, sex talks, and alligators who like popcorn. What's not to love? I think I'm missing some of the plot because of how uncomfortable I was but that makes the experience more fun I think. It's nice to know that Zach's preferred popcorn topping is nutritional yeast, I thought that was just something my mother put on literally every food.

Apropos of nothing, here are my thoughts on some albums I've heard recently:
I listened to Chaeyeon's new EP and gave her first one a listen again, and her music is pretty pleasant to listen to. It's not that unique, and her vocals are only passable (she's not versatile, her tone isn't unique, she's not a skilled singer, and her voice lacks emotion) but the songs are easy listens and she does a good job with what she has. Danny and Same But Different were pretty nice and Hush Rush is pretty nice too. I don't remember Over The Moon that well, but I disliked I Don't Want to Know (that style of song is cliché and doesn't fit her imo), and I think her debut album was better. Still, I'd have to listen to Over The Moon Again. (Edit: Still prefer the debut album but I Don't Want to Know isn't that bad and Line by Line is really nice. Don't Be a Jerk is pretty and Like a Star too.) I also prefer Hush Rush over Knock. Knock actually sounds like something Eunbi would release, but, truth be told, female artists from small labels generally have a similar sound.
I've listened to Aespa's latest EP a few times and I really like Welcome To My World. It's catchy and Ningning's vocals are really good. I think that song should've been the tt even if it's a bit slow; it's still more GP friendly. But apparently Spicy is doing well? It's more upbeat and conventional than their usual tts and I liked the MV (didn't make me feel claustrophobic and I thought the visuals were referencing movies like High School Musical). I can't remember the tt right now because I keep thinking of Salty & Sweet. These two songs are a bit similar to me and reminded me of Salt-N-Pepa's Push It at first. Spicy doesn't scream tt to me, but it's not bad. The lyrics are awful though. I don't know if I like Spicy better than their other tts yet. Thirsty is my least favorite song and reminded me of Taemin's Thirsty. I'm Unhappy is nice and addictive and 'Til We Meet Again is pretty nice too. Overall, it's a solid EP, nothing too great, very Aespa, but Salty & Sweet and Thirsty need some work.
IVE don't miss with their tts. I wasn't expecting Wave to sound like that, but I really like it. It's like a cooler, less conventional, and more kitsch Kitsch, but it's a bit repetitive. The chorus is the weakest part of the song and it's repeated too many times. And the post-chorus is magical and is only repeated twice. I don't know why they didn't do more with that sound or why they didn't give Liz that part both times and instead had Gaeul sing it the second time. I also don't know why they didn't give Liz some of the bridge too. She's the best at softer, angelic vocals. They've been giving Gauel more singing lines, which is cool, but I wonder if that's because they want Rei and Leeseo to have all the rap and talk-singing verses, which are often the killing parts. They've been pushing Leeseo a lot. It's not bad, but although I get that Yujin has the catchiest vocals, and Wonyoung and Leeseo have catchy vocals too, and that Liz's vocals don't always fit, neither do Rei's. Popularity is very much influencing the line distribution.
Oh, and the Wave MV was pretty low budget but the tennis court scenes are fun and creative, and the dance seemed cool, especially in the chorus.

Assigning My Friends Horror Movies Because It's My Blog and I Can Do What I Want
Get ready fuckers (affectionate), you're about to get movie recommendations based on your personality and there's nothing you can do to stop me. @ghostb0o: You get Evil Dead 2. For some reason, you've always given me massive Ash vibes and I also stand firm on the belief that you would only see the positives of having a chainsaw hand. @gamermabk: Definitely It Follows. I feel like you would really like Disasterpiece's work on the soundtrack for this movie as well as the overall vibe of it. I also have a feeling you'd really enjoy the ending as well. @paradisequartet: I gotta split it up for the four of you, so here you all are. Blaze: Zombieland. It's one of the most perfect mixes of comedy and horror I've ever seen and we definitely need to watch it sometime. Frost: The Shining. I feel like you would enjoy the atmosphere and just absolute dread this movie can provide. Pandora: Child's Play. Hand's down my favorite classic horror franchise and you can't tell me that you don't have even the slightest amount of killer doll vibes. Crow: Happy Death Day. Although we haven't talked much, you strike me as a person who might find a classic slasher mixed with a time loop intriguing. @oatmealbeaver: You would love Little Shop of Horrors. And yes, I'm counting it as a horror movie because why not. We all know you're a theater kid (derogatory <3), and this has some of the catchiest songs to me. And man-eating plants, obviously.

Harry Styles - Harry’s House A couple of months ago, I reviewed Harry Styles’ Fine Line, which came out in 2019, and I talked a lot about how much I love that album, and at the time, the lead single from Harry’s House, “As It Was,” was released. Just like much of the world, I love that song. It’s a catchy little pop song, and the rest of the world seemed to agree with it, but the album’s finally out. It’s definitely been a most anticipated release for a lot of people, including myself. This, and the new Jack Harlow record, Come Home The Kids Miss You, have been two of my most anticipated pop / hip-hop records of the year, at least in the mainstream. I’m not super into “mainstream music,” at least as much as I used to be, but I do love me some Harry Styles. Fine Line is a great album, and I still stand by that today, so I was really interested about this one. That’s why it pains me to say that I’m not really that crazy about Harry’s House. Make no mistake, this is a very good album that’s worth listening to, but my replay value on it has been next to nothing. I have been playing it here and there, but not as much as I was hoping for. The reason for that is simple -- it’s just not that interesting. This album is more intimate, I think, especially for its name, and the sound itself sort of reflects that. This album is quieter, softer, and not as outright catchy and infectious. Some songs employ that, such as “As It Was,” but a lot of the album is more low-key, but that’s not a bad thing. There are a lot of things to enjoy, too, such as Harry’s voice. He sounds fantastic on this album, and that’s the one thing I find myself enjoying every time I go back to it. I do enjoy the sound as well, at least in some capacities, because this album goes for a more folk, pop-funk, and 80s pop sound, versus Fine Line, which went for a myriad of different sounds and textures, as well as his debut album, which was more so 70s soft-rock. Styles makes it work, his voice definitely fits with the music, but the music itself just doesn’t do a lot for me in places. On some songs, such as “Cinema,” “Late Night Talking,” “Music For A Sushi Restaurant,” and “Daydreaming,” I really like the sound of them. “As It Was” is definitely the best track here, and the catchiest one, but I like what he does on other songs, like the ones I mentioned. He rides the line between pop, funk, and folk. The album feels a lot more intimate and quieter than his previous records, which is still a good thing, but at the same time, the album’s just not as full of energy, so certain songs somewhat derail the album, or the songs just aren’t up to par with the ones I really like. Styles’ voice is the best thing about the album, like I said, and throughout it, it’s really the glue holding it together. I’d say his lyrics are, too, but let’s be honest -- his lyrics are nothing that special. I mean, I thought Fine Line had some lyrical nuggets here and there, and this album does, too, but it’s nothing that interesting or anything better than Fine Line. That sounds like I’m crapping all over this album, and I don’t want it to sound like that, because this is a technically good album. It sounds great, it’s written very well, so it’s more or less a personal preference. I’d say to check this out if you’re a fan of his music, it’s worth hearing, but I’m just not into the softer sounds that he employs here. Not always, anyway. I like the album, and there are some songs I really love, but I don’t love the whole thing, unfortunately. The songs that are great are really great, but there are also songs on here I just don’t care about as much, so I’m just like, “Meh.” I don’t know, maybe the album will grow on more so later on this year, because I plan on listening to this every once in awhile, but as it stands, the album is really good, but it’s not better than Fine Line. To be fair, though, that record is fantastic in every single way, so it’s sort of hard to top it, and I didn’t think the album would, honestly, but that’s not its own fault. Those are own preconceptions and expectations talking. I’d still recommend this, especially if you’re a fan of his music, or you really like “As It Was,” because that song is fantastic and I’ve played it a thousand times already, but I just wasn’t as floored by the album as I was with Fine Line. It might make it onto my year end list somewhere, because I can’t say I was disappointed by it. The album isn’t bad at all, it’s just not what I was expecting, I guess. The album’s not as catchy or energetic as the lead single. Not that a lead single dictates a whole album, but I guess I was expecting more along that line, and instead we got an intimate and quiet folk / pop-funk album, which is still a pretty damn good record, all things considered.

The Raising Appeal Of Digital Billboard Advertising Austin TX
One of the reasons that Times square in New york city has actually come to be such a renowned tourist destination is the great selection of digital signboards on the square. Multinational corporations with billion-dollar budget plans still set aside significant quantities of cash for electronic billboard advertising and marketing, in New York as well as in significant cities around the world.
Why does digital marketing remain to excite advertisers, and why is digital billboard advertising Austin TX expanding in appeal?
First of all digital billboards are always on. They don't need any audience or user input. there's no login - the message on a signboard is always there and also as a result of the availability of roadside large style digital billboards they command attention from drivers.
The place of marketing is just as vital as the message it communicates. After all even the catchiest slogan or most recognisable brand name is only of value when individuals can see it. This is an additional location where electronic signboards shine. They are currently so popular that they can be discovered in most prime advertising and marketing places such as crossways as well as nearby significant transport arteries filed a claim against by those reaching and also from work.
Digital billboards are continually developing as modern technology ends up being increasingly more innovative. today, high-resolution screens as well as faster data delivery indicate that electronic billboards can give an even more appealing experience than in the past. New capacities imply that cinema-quality video clip, crisp and clear still images, and computer animations that are provided smoothly are currently a truth. The reality that electronic signboard is a fraction of the expense of other mediums such as radio and tv just contributes to the tourist attraction of the medium.
The fact that the messaging on an electronic billboard can promptly and also easily be altered also includes in the destination of the tool, specifically where the advertisers is using messaging that is time-sensitive. this can consist of a special deal that alters daily, or a restaurant unique that differs each meal - or variants to the menu. The opportunities are practically limitless.
There are extremely couple of advertising tools that remain to supply every min of daily - yet electronic signboards do simply that. Once again - no customer input is called for and (for far better or even worse) they are inescapable. The capability of the electronic signboard to provide 1 day a day makes even much more feeling when the marketer makes use of the capacity to customize messages to a specific time of day or evening.
One more advantage of the electronic signboard is that it can be sued to advertise a variety of services or products at the same time. One simply decides the lineup and allows the material to be presented on a looping basis. Essentially, the advertiser is obtaining 2 for the rate of one.
When one takes just the above variables into account (there are a lot more) then it becomes obvious why digital billboard advertising Austin TX has actually recorded the creativity of advertisers across the region. It supplies worth for cash, is very noticeable, and also is exceptionally versatile. In short, it merely uses an unmatched roi.
