Jason is not helplessly attracted to Siren. He’s not. But he can’t stop himself when Siren comes back to the bar half an hour later.

“Are they gone yet?” Jason asks, failing at keeping his eyes off Siren’s hands. Their nails are shaped into tapered points, and painted a glittery silver.

Siren shrugs, a languid movement. But there’s tension in their hands, a stiffness in their shoulders that speaks to a carefully reigned in violence beneath the surface. It draws him in and Jason turns towards them. “Oh Alvin, your beer got spilled. Here, a replacement on me.” Siren signals the bartender regardless that Jason had already ordered another to nurse. “Other than the unnecessary posturing of men hired for brawn over brains, hopefully the rest of your evening will be only as eventful as you pay for.”

Jason hums. “I always enjoy myself, except that Katai called me a grotesque.”

“Hm,” Siren sweeps their eyes over Jason, lingers a bit on his shoulders, chest and hands. “Don’t take it personally, she has bad taste in men.”

“And you? What's your taste in men?” He says it without thinking, suddenly desperate to know. There's a darkness in Siren’s eyes before they lean towards Jason. Their hand slides across the bartop with the movement.

“Wouldn't you like to know.” Their breath is cool over Jason's ear, he shivers. Then Siren snags Jason's beer, takes a long swallow. Their throat bobs and brings filthy thoughts to Jason's mind. “Good evening Alvin.”

When Siren skirts around him, they trail fingers up Jason's arm, ghosts over his shoulders, taps once on his ear. Jason holds himself still, scared to press into the touch like he wants.

It's only after he notices Siren stole his beer.

oh my god i love your art so much! what are some of your biggest inspirations?

Hi! Thank you so much :D It makes me so soooo happy to hear that!

I have a few inspirations for different things. In regards to backgrounds, my 3 big ones are all artists who worked on Hanna-Barbera cartoons (examples shown below, respectively in each row): Bob Gentle, Art Lozzi, and Monte (Fernando Montealegre)

I also really like Samurai Jack backgrounds, I am unsure of who all the artists that worked on the show art, but I can identify Scott Wills' works (he has a site btw)

Also the bg art style of My Life as a Teenage Robot (I don't know who the artists are for these though)

Character designs, I am heavily inspired by various character designs of Stephen Silver (mainly Clerks & Kim Possible)

Also My Life as a Teenage Robot, Clone High, Total Drama, Dexter's Lab, & Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy are some big ones for character design inspiration as well. (Also Hanna-Barbera designs)

My biggest inspiration in regards to my art as a whole and my principle on making art is pretty much just mid-century art (approx. 40s - 70s), which if you google, there is no single main style. There's similar style trends (simple, abstract, geometric shapes) but every artist is just experimenting with different tools and techniques which makes it really fun for me, with not having to worry about having a "consistent style" or whatever. Animation wise, I also like UPA's style but my pet peeve is everyone grouping mid-century styles as "UPA". School House Rock is another good one. Also various Soviet cartoons too.

I really like the works of mid century illustrators/graphic designers: Bernice Myers, Aurelius Battaglia, Jim Flora, Mary Blair, and Lou Peters among others.

Also love the works of Saul Bass, Alvin Lustig, and Paul Rand.

There's also these 2 illustrations in particular that I'm a huge fan of but am unsure who made it (unfortunately a lot of graphic artists during this time are uncredited or I can hardly find anything about them/other examples of their works):

Percy Jackson Headcanons

(A lot of these are inspired by other people’s ideas)

-Percy has Tattoos

Lots of little ones to symbolize his friends both dead and alive, obviously a tattoo devoted to Sally. But he also has forearm tattoos of the symbols of the gods and goddesses he respects, it’s only a rainbow, a firepoker in a hearth, and a silver arrow on his forearms.

-Percy introduces all his godly cousins by stupid names

Sally honestly wasn’t surprised when a god showed up at the door, she was surprised when Percy called him “cousin snake man and his two pocket snakes” (who he promptly fed rats).

-Percy has a New York accent It only comes out when he’s really angry, tired, or horny. Annabeth hears it more than others.

-Percy has long hair

It grew out past shoulder length while he was missing and he hasn’t cut it since. Both Annabeth and Sally like it, but when he grows a beard he looks like the Poseidon of myth.

-Percy can Cook

He learned from his mom and has never stopped. Baking, grilling, cooking, smoking. if it’s a type of cooking, he does it, and he does it well. Nico avoided Percy for two months after losing a pasta competition to him and even that wasn’t long enough to avoid the shame.

-Percy, Lee, Beckendorf, Silena, and Clarrise where all really close friends

It started when Percy wanted to learn to make stuff in the forge, which snowballed into Beckendorf basically adopting Percy and introducing him to his crew. It took a couple years but eventually Clarrise warmed up to him, they were a crucial part of each others mental recovery after the Titan war.

-Percy is a stoner

Just enough to keep the edge off but he refuses to touch alcohol due to Gabe. Beckendorf and Lee spent like 2 months researching demigods, filing a report, submitting it to Athena, and gaining her seal of approval on the “Study of Drugs on Demigod Physiology” (It basically says demigod minds and bodies are durable enough to nullify addictive chemicals and the negative effects of some drugs). The group celebrated the approval of such a study by smoking and watching the live action Alvin and the Chipmunks.

-Percy loves SpongeBob

Percy is currently giving Poseidon the silent treatment because he refused a burger cooking contest with him despite Percy pulling the golden spatula from the grease in front of him. Also, yes, Poseidon does look similar to early SpongeBob Neptune, and no he has no clue how Percy managed to smuggle a bucket of grease and a golden spatula into Atlantis.

-Percy is a pirate

After his third quest Percy went ape shit trying to fight the war and end it before it took anymore lives. It culminated in him carrying a gun at all times and rebuilding an old sunken ship to its former glory. He didn’t get to use it until the summer leading into the titan war where he sunk 4 ships transporting monsters and 2 ships that were moving illegal objects

-Percy doesn’t fight for Olympus

Percy has never cared about the gods beyond making sure they don’t hurt the people he loves. His speech during the battle of Manhattan was a call to the demigods to fight to protect each other, to protect their family, and to fight this war so the next generation of demigods might not have to. Him and every other counselor sees their jobs as protecting the youngest and newest demigods above all else.

-Percy is musical

Whether it’s because he has the sea coursing through his veins or something else he’s good at singing, guitar, and most instruments. He occasionally used to play as a joke for kids at camp. Now it’s mostly a coping mechanism for the wars and Tartarus, anyone that needs music to relate to is free to listen.

Most of the counselors and elder hunters have a shared memory of the night before the last day of the Titan war. None of them could sleep out of fear of the unavoidable casualties tomorrow would bring, so they gathered in the most secluded room and sat and mourned. Eventually, Percy broke out a bag of weed to help everyone relax since they couldn’t sleep while Percy and Grover performed a heart-stopping rendition of Peace Train by Cat Stevens.

Lately I've been designing adult versions of my younger OCs from the Silver Blade thief gang. I already designed Alvin's long time ago, but I retouched it a bit so I decided to include it here as well. I generally feel pretty satisfied with the designs, especially comparing with their younger versions since I made most desgins a bit fast and simple on purpose lmao. They would all be between 20 and 22 years old here.

the beginning of Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine is a burst of rainbows to us. Each guitar chord played up til the drums really kick in is a different variation of a rainbow it's really cool. Was always our favourite song off our dad's mixtape because of it and i think he genuinely thought we liked the song so much because of the ending "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" which is SO FUCKING FUNNY TO HEAR COMING FROM A LIKE 5 YEAR OLD'S MOUTH BTW FHFJDJDIFKFOD

Tyler Joseph's voice is a VERY VIVID teal colour. His name is also teal? This is one of the reasons we named ourselves after him irl (#lore. our offline chosen name is Tyler) the other is that we wanted to name ourselves after someone we looked up to and like... Listen man. We were 14. we don't keep up with his shit anymore if he's said anything fucked up don't @ us IAIAAIAKSKDJDJDJDJXXKKDKDFI. but yeah anyways his voice is a very strong teal colour and while most musicians' voice colours get muddled by the music or even change based off other factors HIS VOICE IS ALWAYS TEAL. Really weird to us tbh!!

This one is related to the #Hyperfixation but anyways Markiplier's voice colour changes slightly based off his hair colour. Default it's like a deep red but depending on the Era™ the colour changes juuuuust slightly enough to match his hair. Like it goes from Just Deep red to say, Deep Red with Pink Flecks if we're watching a Pink Era Video™.

Speaking of. His Egos do have different coloured voices too. It will surprise nobody that Dark's voice is red and blue and Wil's voice is pink to us. Some characters and things have associated colours outside our synesthesia that overpower our synesthesia, another example of that would be alvin and the chipmunks and homestuck. anyways Google's voice is dark blue and black and silver and The Host's voice is gold and red despite Mark not doing a specific voice for the guy?? This IS based off the canon egos btw and not our fictives for once cuz our fictives all sound different from each other in-sys. fucki..nn who else...... uhhhh Actor has Mark's default red voice. Damien sounds blue. Magnum sounds like seaweed (green and teal and blue). Engineer Mark sounds pale purple? I'm not listing all his Egos we don't know all of their names actually. The Jims sound pale blue and King of the Squirrels sounds like... cherry red. just a few off the top of our head that we remember ajsjxjxjskd

For some fucking reason and this doesn't really fit the question but it IS synesthesia related nearly every time we tell someone about their voice's colour they're like "wow that's my favourite colour!" and that's so funny. our mom's voice is light blue and she's always been a fan of blue. Our sister sounds pink and purple and those have been her favourites since she was a kid. Dad's voice is black and that's HIS favourite colour. Etc. etc. etc. this happens without us knowing people's favourite colours btw and with our family it's not an Association Is Stronger thing their voices are all legit shades of their favourite colours it is so wack. world's most useless superpower for real JDJFFJFNDJFJF

Alvin, my beloved idiot Durge with a silver tongue and a heart of--well he has a heart in his hands that he ripped from someone's chest (they probably deserved it.) He's made it to the Gauntlet of Shar after slowly killing everyone he can in Moonrise without tipping his hand. He needs to since he gave into the Urge at the promise of gifts and killed Isobel and the whole Last Light Inn so no Harpers to help in the upcoming battle.

It's okay though because Jaheira won't know its his fault, and that night Lae'zel and him became an item for real. Mostly because she thinks, rightfully so, that she can control him and direct his urges to more convenient targets. And also because he finds her hats to wear.

He got a hair cut, thinking it'd show up in his Slayer form and he's a little disappointed. It's why he refuses to use that form that much, even though he says it's because of Lae'zel's discouraging him (his bestie Astarion boos when he refuses to go Slayer.) He's already forgotten about the Shadow Curse so that's not gonna get taken care of. Shadowheart's probably going to end up a Dark Justiciar by the end of the night unless she surprises me.

Anyway, here's the two love birds that smooch like 3 times each night while covered in gore while everyone tries to ignore it.

I was thinking about Sing 3 and the potential of bringing Nooshy back…

A lot of sources are speculating that it isn’t happening and I feel like I know the main reason why they think it won’t…

As far as I know, Letitia Wright, Nooshy’s VA, is still on hiatus from acting because she had genuine concerns of the new COVID-19 vaccines and the internet cancelled her straight away! The last film released with her acting credit before this decision, of course, was Wakanda Forever. (yeah, just because I have high functioning autism, it doesn’t mean I’m an idiot when it comes to how long movies in post-production can take, especially for a MARVEL FILM!)

I still say that it’s not out of the question for Nooshy to return yet. Illumination has no problem replacing actors when the original is either unavailable or in legal trouble. For instance, Louis C.K., who originally voiced Max for The Secret Life Of Pets was facing sexual assault allegations during the production of the sequel, and Patton Oswalt was called in to fill the role.

Now you may be saying, “But, Artica, Max is the protagonist of Secret Life! It just wouldn’t be a Pets movie without Max! Maybe we could survive without Nooshy!”

Well, you’d be right. When you have a character that integral to your franchise, you can’t just drop them! That’s how I feel about Nooshy! She solidified herself as a part of the New Moon Troupe just by being there for Johnny and the others! If you pitched her now, you’d lose a choreographer! Okay, maybe that’s what Ryan could be used for as well, but I can see the pair of them being co-workers and supporting their friends unconditionally!

What’s the point? Well, for the past year, I have been scouting for potential candidates for Nooshy’s new voice actress. To keep the Black representation alive, I mostly focused on Black women with that beautiful British accent we know and love. Leigh-Ann Pollock of Little Mix fame (perfect for if they wanted Nooshy to sing), Clara Amfo of BBC Radio One, Sophie Okonedo of The Secret Life Of Bees [Funny coincidence there]… But then last night, I realized that the answer was right in front of my face from the beginning!

Sherrie Silver was responsible for the choreography for Sing 2 and for helping to bring Out Of This World to life! She even stated that she really liked Nooshy and focused on her agility and flexibility a lot. It almost makes sense that if no one else, Illumination should have her voice Nooshy!

It really isn’t too far off to ask a choreographer to do some acting. For the Japanese dub of Sing 2, Akane Miyazaki, who is known for her choreography, was called in to voice Nooshy.

And do you remember Alvin And The Chipmunks 2007?

The actual choreographer for that film, Rosero “Taffy” McCoy even got his own little scene in that film, where he tells Ian [David Cross] that he’s the choreographer and he hilariously doesn’t even know what that means. It’s your JOB as a huge record executive and tour manager to know what a choreographer is!

Taffy: It’s dancing.

Ian: Well, then next time just say I’m the dance guy!

Yes, it’s filler, but it’s entertaining filler that highlights the significance of choreographers!

So yeah… That’s my opinion on it all. Feel free to tell me who you think should fill Nooshy’s shoes and what role she could play in Sing 3, if at all!

Is there a point where during one of the tournament's trials one of the nightshades was in danger of being seriously injured and enid impulsively jumps in and gets hurt in their place? We know that enid is hurt about the seeming lack of care and interest from her former friends but she still cares and doesn't want them hurt. I doubt she'd even want bianca getting hurt regardless of their antagonistic relationship.

Idk it just think it's neat when enid gets wounded. It sets the stage for the people around her to show her they actually care about her. Maybe it could be the start of the nightshades, especially wednesday and yoko, fixing their relationship with her.

I didn't mention her pack getting hurt because enid would definitely do anything to keep them safe. I know in my heart that Enid is basically their tired single dad.

absolutely!! probably like midway through the tournament, where enid gets out of her anger stage because wednesday genuinely looks like she's enjoying herself with the nightshades and who is she to even feel bitter?

and honestly, enid really shouldn't have stepped in. They looked like they could've handled themselves but then they were getting swarmed by two groups and enid heard of news of how they were going to go a step further..

When enid stumbles away, bloodied and a gash deep into her stomach because ofcourse they'll have silver. So she'll toss the second trial's requirements at her pack and let mercury help her out

Fellowship of Fans' latest season 2 scoops this week was focused on the elves and Elrond!!! :D Even got a set pic from filming earlier this year!!!

First they got scoop that Rivendell/Imladris is a set location for the show starting in season 2!!! :D They don't know for sure if we'll see it in season 2 or if it's just mentioned but this does make sense Elrond's future home is coming especially if the 2 episode battle at the end of the season is the fall of Eregion. Possible too we could see it in the finale and then set up for a season 3 storyline.

Then they revealed Oliver Alvin-Wilson's character is part of the elves' storyline and filmed scenes with Morfydd Clark, Calam Lynch, Selina Lo, and Charles Edwards. They don't know for sure yet but seems to suggest he likely is an elf too.

Then in ep 2.4 a large group of elven soldiers will march into Lindon in battle/army formation.

Finally the also got a set picture from when filming was going on earlier this year of the elves in armor with their horses. It's all silver armor, even for the horses, and majority of these elves have long hair. It actually looks very similar to how they did in the LOTR movies.
