I hate how people will look at popular indie artists who had one or two songs go viral on TikTok and start making fun of anybody who listens to them. But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY #I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like #to be able to choose someone to die lol.. So I'm curious what people value the most

Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

anyone else thinking about effie spending 24 years watching haymitch completely fall apart. effie, who met haymitch by accident, who knows exactly what kind of person he is, who sees him every year on his birthday for 24 years and each year he’s drunker, each year he’s angrier, each year he’s faster to give up. and then they get katniss and peeta. peeta, who is kind and open and understanding, who refuses to give up on haymitch. and katniss, who is so much like haymitch at 16 that it hurts. and over the few days they’re together, effie watches haymitch come back to life. watches him try. watches him have hope. and then they get to keep not one but both of those kids. they get to come home. and then, less then a year later, effie pulls haymitch’s name at the reaping.

#the 75th reaping was a special hell for all four of them #katniss knew it would be her no matter what and effie couldn’t save her.#haymitch and peeta were going to volunteer for the other regardless #and god. just thinking of haymitch wanting to die for all those years and effie only being able to watch #because how could she know why? how could she understand what had been done to him?#and finally. FINALLY she sees the light come back to him because he loves katniss and he loves peeta #and for once there’s a chance he can keep them. AND HE DOES #but there are no winners. not even in the capitol. and so effie is forced to reap haymitch #i’m actually ruined #sunrise on the reaping #sotr spoilers #thg #haymitch abernathy #effie trinket #hayffie

my (cis) brother is using my old license to buy wine and it has the gender marker F on there. so whenever he gets asked he just says “oh i’m trans”. its literally worked every single time.

very funny (irritating) to me that everyone whined and yelled about stupid rainbow capitalism and how performative wokeness/allyship is a net bad we should all refuse to support and now like.

tumblr is doing nothing for pride and target isn't selling much (if any) of their pride collection offline except at certain stores (in democratic areas, basically) and build a bear has a much tinier collection than normal and all the actual pride stuff is on their "adult" website (not sure if it's in stores, but pride = adult is a hell of a message)

there are genuinely good criticisms for performative allyship in all its applications. it shouldn't be the only thing we expect from people and companies. but if all the shit I see being called performative stopped tomorrow then in terms of the LGBTQ+ community especially we just. wouldn't talk about queerness or queer issues or celebrate pride or do anything.

open your fucking eyes. we are very close politically to having gay marriage rolled back. now companies are basically being let off the hook to even make a miniscule effort (which matters to the people who don't have access to any other kind of support in their communities! which normalizes the community in public spaces!) because the only reaction they have gotten over the last few years are negative ones from BOTH sides.

we are so entrenched in discourse at all times for the sake of our OWN performance of who is the wokest and who is REALLY an ally or a good community member that we have basically handed over all the work of activists of the last several decades to the other side because we'd rather scream at each other over fucking chicken restaurants and shit than the real life backsliding that's happening.

and this goes for other shit too. feminism, poc rights, all of it.

also. trans rights aren't discourse and aren't just culture war arguments. in case any terfs think they can spin this to be antitrans.
