okay so after Tales of the Jedi we're getting Tales of the Empire and on a complete non-squitur, in TBB episode 3x10 Hemlock says the other operatives aren't ready yet, which means there're more clone assassins in the making my bet is still on clone x (or the current assassin clone or whatever you call him) being Tech, because him being Cody just wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't be as emotionally devastating for Omega and the Bad Batch as the clone being Tech would be and I saw a theory that maybe Cody is one of the other operatives whose brainwashing just isn't done yet instead so hear me out, hear me out after Tales of the Empire, we could get Tales of the Clones, right? and in Tales of the Clones we could get the story of what happened to Cody, that maybe Cody tried to escape the Empire in TBB 2x03, but he was caught and sent to Hemlock's sick assassin clone program, but the badass he is he's resisting the brainwashing and he maybe escapes??? MAYBE WE COULD GET THAT STORY OR SOMETHING??? WHERE HE ENDS UP ON TATOOINE LIKE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO IN THE OG KENOBI SHOW SCRIPT???? I'D BE SO UP FOR IT OKAY???

AU where Joey is in 3rd Life! I had the idea that he kinda just mimics his teammates (but mostly Scar bc he already mimics Grian enough) purely based on the fact that his mc skin's face is based on ditto lmao. So, a team full of shapeshifters, but to different degrees.

Anyways, unlike Grian just playing along with whatever, Joey steps in when everything goes awry. Both are there to have everything turn out "correctly" (aka our canon, which in this means Grian is supposed to win), but Grian has been failing, because he oh so wants Scar to prevail.

And, as you can tell, I suffer forever changing artstyle syndrome. I think all Scars look different, all Grians are similar but not quite the same, and Joey has some similarities through (besides Scar-Mimicked image) but still inconsistent lmao

Does anyone else take those pieces of media that you like a lot but hate the creator to the point where you don't interact with the media anymore and just start taking what you remember of the media and making it your own? Like adding characters and concepts and removing things you don't like until what you end up with is almost entirely different? But like not in a normal writing fanfic way, like in a way where you simultaneously called cps on them, are cps, and got custody of the child

Honestly. Best way to disrespect a creator you hate imo. Just take something they made and be like 'nah this is better (turns your queerphobic story into a story about queer people being extremely queer and found family)' and then completely ignore the original in favor of this random story you like so much more that you made in your brain in like 2 months

This is still good to do for a story that you think would be better if it was altered or want to tamper with or experiment. But it is made infinitely better if you do it out of spite and then end up adoring your version way more than you ever liked the original.
