Requestober 2022 Sketches: Vargas Edition

Btw, you’ll be wanting to keep an eye out for this playlist! It’s updating once a week every week until every day of Requestober has been posted, so for quite a while lol, but there’s a few already up!

Day 1, starting the month off with some cuteness! ♥ I originally had Scriabin a bit more inquisitive and curious behind Edgar, just kind of shyly ducking out of view, but I do like the full fluster that I ended up with ♪

I also imagined Jake in a jacket throughout the fic but I felt like it wouldn’t communicate well from behind haha. Everybody gets jackets! Hehe, Jake-et. Scriabin super flustered and blushed up, being touched by someone other than Edgar in a nice way ♥

Day 3 got multiple hug doodles, big shock there lol, I wasn’t sure what to do with such a broad prompt at first, so I just did all of the ideas I had lol. I do love when they hold each other soooo closely, hugging for dear life <3 Holding the back of the head is so sweet to me ahh. And then a silly one where presumably Scriabin got a bit heated and needed some cool-off holds. Maybe if you stopped jumping straight to fight every time-

Truly, what is a hug tho, does a cuddle count?

This time Edgar being impulsive and wanting a hug! I drew these a bit apart but I thought they fit together well, always one acting responsible over the other, they trade it back and forth ♪

And then what finally ended up being Day 3 <3 It’s toootally not a hug you guys, it’s just the two of them holding each other up, nothing deeper than that, just ignore the ♥ hehe

Day 4, what a rambunctious scamp! He looks so pleased with himself with that fake cigarette haha

I took the lines pretty much directly from my traditional sketch, no digital re-sketching, but you can see in the final version I forgot Edgar’s antennae haha

Day 8, the first of the minicomics >:3c I really couldn’t help myself, like I said in the tags, I’d been waiting for two years to get the idea out of my head and onto paper and it turned out pretty much exactly like I wanted it to ahh ♪ Moth Edgar with big fluffy wings and antenna! Too cute!

And of course Scriabin looking as dorky as possible lol ♥ That’s what you get for being an impulsive Act Now Think Later kind of guy! I think the original line I wrote that heck-while ago was “It was funnier in theory” but I think this phrasing is cuter :D

Day 10 went around a few times before I settled on the final version, I originally had Scriabin directly touching Edgar’s scars but I decided that was a little too bold for ‘’’’’’strangers‘’’’’’ to come right out of the gate on. He’s not going to listen to you if you stomp all over his boundaries right at the start! You have to ease your way in first lol

And finally settled on a single image! It’s dialogue-heavy but I think it works well ♪ I had a few extra notes, like where to put the lines of dialogue, Scriabin’s hand on Edgar’s face, that Edgar accidentally ended up being tiny in comparison lol, all good stuff

You didn’t think I forgot about the hug that become Day 11 did you! This was part of the initial Day 3 set but it got repurposed, say thank you anon. I really love when Edgar manhandles Scriabin around a bit, mean as it can be sometimes, and the idea of him being strong enough to pick him up but maybe not vice versa, ah, it gets me! A hug he truly can’t get away from, unless he wants to fall over. At least he’ll take Edgar with him lol

Day 12 took a bit to get started as well, I wanted something where Scriabin is actually being a faily guardian but I only came up with him being a little blindsided to begin with

Of course he’d have to wear it, even paper flowers go in Scriabin’s hair ♥

More cutes while brainstorming, napping together ♥ (psst, @fandomfriend​, here’s what I was hinting at ;)

But I did finally get there in the end! Panels out of order of course lol, but was even able to get the caption and some of the tags together haha ♪ I like the final version too, but I honestly think Scriabin’s expression in the 2nd panel is great ♥

Day 13 got a few different costume drafts! In fact, I very nearly went with the first one, partially because it was a costume I had when I was little haha. Todd the plane and Shmee the aviator! Very cute. I also considered both of them dressed up as wildlife explorers which was also very cute, but in the end I’m happy I went with the King and Prince theme :D

Day 14′s spooky spider theme ooh ✨ I do wish I’d had a bit more time to work on it, but I’m still pleased with how it turned out, sketch included! Scriabin being spooky in the background is always fun, and he’s got even more lenses to flash from than usual haha

A few days after I did the initial sketches, I returned to the web idea because I kept thinking about how sparkly Ilwrath webs are and I wanted some sparkly webs myself! I thought it would suit Scriabin as well, him “catching” small shards of glass, sparkly stones, pieces of mirror, little trinkets - things that represent him :)

And then a silly follow-up to being tossed into the web lol. Are you gonna argue with a 6′ spider? Didn’t think so

Day 15 was one that I didn’t have the sketch to work with while drawing so I had to use it as an on-hand reference instead haha. I do think both versions turned out nice! Especially Scriabin’s hand on Edgar’s hip haha ♪ The head angles changed a bit from sketch to final and I can’t decide which I like more honestly - Edgar demure and Scriabin leaning further in here is just so sweet

I did end up doodling Scriabin setting everything on fire and bringing out his wings, just a little bit haha ♥

I just kept poking around at ideas for Day 15! I remember having a very strong image of the two of them moving through an indistinct background until Scriabin settled them at Eat Or Die (lol) while reading, and that also being very defined in my mind’s eye but I’d never tried to draw it up to this point. I might return to it on a future reread

And then as well I got to thinking about the Scriabin of the stories they make up together, and how he’d always been separate from Edgar until they met, how different that would make him, how his glasses would always be grey :0 Melancholy

Day 16 was much the same as 15 in that I didn’t digitize directly from the sketch, thus the lack of brush here haha, there’s only so far grooming manually can get you! Definitely struggled with keeping his silhouette clean, he gets lost in all that fluff hehe

@brusk-ghost​​ asked to set aside the 18th so I actually made these a bit early, around Day 12, but it finally got the spotlight for Day 18! The posing changed around a good bit, as well as Edgar’s attire. I’m glad I went with the waistcoat, the négligée I had in mind would’ve probably been just a bit too much lol

I actually drew the bonus first, had to segway into real vampirism through silliness first lol

Day 21′s crossover yaaay <3 I love Camilo! He’s probably my second favourite character right after Bruno so I was happy to draw him again, and I always love Todd meeting up with people who are nice to him :D

I wasn’t sure of his hand posing at first so I doodled a couple extra Todds hiding behind Shmee but in the end I’m happy with what I went with :)

Day 22′s original draft was a lot sillier, even than the silly thing that become the final version lol. You’re making Edgar concerned, Scriabin! Edgar’s not the only one who needs to get out more haha

Day 22 was I’m pretty sure the first time I’ve actually drawn Shmee “alive”?? I’ve doodled him emoting before but like, intentionally looking like a blank-faced teddy bear, if that makes sense. It didn’t feel out of the ordinary or anything which is maybe even more odd haha, it was fun to doodle him being cartoony

And then there’s this lol. Like I mentioned in the tags, I was really struggling with Scriabin’s reaction expression, so I tried a few different ones before I remembered about the Spamton face, which you can even see my notes for there in the upper right corner haha. Scriabin makes the best faces! It was fun to draw him a bunch of times, even with the little frustration of not knowing which one I wanted haha

This one was, as noted, probably a bit too much lol

And then finally, mostly what I wanted and ended up using in the end haha ♪ Muppet mouth <3

Day 23 was a simple only-one-doodle-needed kind of day, thankfully haha ♪ I knew going into it that I could use my little error message box so I threw it in for funsies :D

Day 24 was originally pretty different! It had Edgar’s aim a lot closer to where it should’ve been, but it didn’t involve anything other than his hands and I wanted all of him to be included, so I had to scrap it, which also meant most of Scriabin’s mask :( I also didn’t get to draw Edgar straight-on, but I wanted to give him a whole bunch of accessories for vampire hunting! Belt of stakes, a gun with silver bullets and a leather chest holster, all decked out! I’m pleased enough to have drawn them all here haha

I think the final version is the happiest medium tho ♪ Little bit of the mask, some blood (including the bite Scriabin left on him in Day 18! Now bandaged ♪), and Scriabin’s really fun hand pose holding Edgar’s neck ♥ I do really have to give it to the anon for putting the butterfly imagery in my head about it, fancy look ✨

For day 27 I wanted to do some brainstorming first since I don’t usually draw zombies. It ended up being a bit more sad/scary than I wanted, but I was still trying for at least a little silliness; Scriabin is using bullying humour to try and cope but he’s scared too </3

The final version ended up much funnier I think, and more dynamic! :D I was absolutely thinking about the beginning of Lilo and Stitch, when Nani intentionally falls onto Lilo lol, it’s the Older Sibling instinct, and the Younger to complain about it haha

The first doodle for Jealous Edgar, could be about anything! Drew Scriabin’s glasses as grey so it’s probably After, but what if it was in reaction the Player from the Dating Sim? He just comes home and grumpily hugs him haha ♪ Scriabin pulling a “You’re so obvious” himself hehe

And then the alt ended up becoming the final version! I’m not sure how well it came across in the final version, but I intended for Edgar’s pose to look like he was holding Scriabin behind him, like sweeping his hand to keep him from being very visible to the player while Scriabin peeks out to wave goodbye. It was really fun to draw his Jealous™ eyes traditionally haha, the scratchy texture feels like it really brings out the “Back Off” vibes ♪

I had a few more ideas for UI, to do with the little ❌s at the bottom of Edgar’s text box; the three states of the boxes are empty, ♥, and ❌; both ♥s and ❌s are indelible, meaning if you insult one of them enough, you lock out the opportunity of filling that box with a ♥, ever. In this run, Edgar has no ♥s and three (or here, five) ❌s, meaning the player was real mean to him

And finally Day 31 ♥ I only ended up doodling these like, twenty minutes before drawing them digitally so I didn’t get a chance to scan them in beforehand, which I think is a real shame! I mean, look how cute Edgar is! Slightly more awake eyes hehe, and I wasn’t sure where to put Scriabin’s “you know” at first

Speaking of traditional cutes, look at how floofy Scriabin ended up being! Adorable 💕

Here is the full compilation of all the works I managed to finish! For certain characters I went back and did some very minor touch-ups, just so they look a bit more consistent. That said, you can see how my style changed quite over time :3;;; Which is fine! I wanted to experiment with the soft texture brushes and try to come up with a style that would look crisp when zoomed out, but also look interesting close up. I hope I managed to achieve that, and that it looks good!!

MORE INFO about the Shuji Sogabe ryomina doujinshi !!!

hello ryojihead nation !!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope you're all having a good day ^_^ i'm sure the vast majority of you are aware of the persona 3 manga, it's many ryomina tendencies, and it's author, Shuji Sogabe.

sogabe is also rather well-known for having written a popular ryomina doujin, イチゴちゃん SAY GOOD BYE [pictured], under the penname Kanae Kiryu. SGB was released at Comiket 73 on the 29/12/2007, around 10 months after the persona 3 manga began serialisation in dengeki maoh in february that year.

a few days before comiket, sogabe writes on his blog that he'll be handling books from kanae kiryu's doujin circle, ネコ同然。(like a cat.) on the 28/12/2007, he posts a link to kanae kiryu's blog, http://jlc.jugem.jp/ [pictured]

later, on the 14/5/2008, a post is made to kiryu's blog that he applied to, and then later announced on 22/6/2008 that he was accepted to, the ryomina exclusive event Messiah Recipe ! (webpage being: http://messiah-recipe.com)

alongside his acceptance, he also writes that he's working on a new book for the event. on the 26th, he posts again, saying the book will be called ワルツィング・キャット(Waltzing Cat) [pictured], and it was worked on alongside 蒼麻葵 (i believe their current twitter: @tasotaso_nyoro) !

NOTE: on the kanae kiryu blog it is mentioned that Waltzing Cat's front and back cover join together much like SAY GOOD BYE's does, but since very few scans of the book exist, we only have the front cover (which shows minato's hand, at least ^_^;;)

Waltzing Cat was then released as promised at Messiah Recipe's event on June 28th, 2008. (this exclusivity is probably why it's so much rarer!) SAY GOOD BYE was also reprinted to be sold alongside it. a blog post was made on kiryu's blog two days after, thanking everyone who bought books at the event. he writes:

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the people who picked up our books at the event. It was the first time for me to participate in an exclusive circle, and I was a little nervous, but there was no big confusion on the day of the event, and the proceedings were very relaxed and peaceful. Thank you to all the staff members! I really wanted to talk to more people, but I'm a chicken at heart and it's hard to build a community.......! Once you get to know each other, you can chat as much as you want. I would like to be a little more proactive next time, since this is a place where people who like the same things can get together.

after a few more posts (mostly about p4), and then a few months of silence, kanae kiryu's blog is closed in March 2009, with a thank-you goodbye message written on 22/03/2009. the only other mention of kanae's circle i found was as part of a persona 3 2009 calendar, presumably made in 2008. link to defunct listing here: https://www.suruga-ya.jp/product/detail/988900972

Something inky this way comes! The Ink Demonth emerges once again!

The Ink Demonth is a 31-day event dedicated to the game Bendy and the Ink Machine (and other games associated with the Bendy universe). It’s based on daily themes. As long as your creation involves elements from the game along with any interpretation of the respective day’s theme – it counts!

You don’t have to create something for each day, make as many creations as you’d like. However, if you manage to do all 31 of them, you can submit a form to receive a little gift (drawing request)! In the form, you will have to provide a link to each of your posted event submissions (it doesn’t have to be Tumblr, just a site that’s publically accessible!).

My research on the monster was progressing, but it was not doing so at the expected speed and every time I managed to advance one step, I was forced to take two steps back.

I don't know how he does it, but it's like the monster knows every move I'm going to make and I don't like that at all.

For example, the homeless man who lived in the old meeting house; who was murdered two nights ago. The monster sees me in the ruins and that same night kills the person who lived in that same place?

It's not a coincidence.

But thanks to that event, I got all the information about the bodies in the morgue and I have deciphered a pattern. It's subtle, but reading the reports and seeing the photos of the bodies it's easy to decipher.

Each victim has had a part of their bodies removed. The first victim was missing a kidney, the second a finger, the third his gallbladder and the homeless man from the meeting house two toes.

I don't know why the murderer needs these parts, but I plan to find out.

Thornhill 's class is anything but new information, since everything she is saying about orchids and their pollination is something I learned when I was 9 years old.

I hear a complaining sound from my left, causing me to look towards the person sitting next to me through my peripheral vision and seeing the school artist.

Xabier: I hurt my back fencing.- he excuses himself quickly without me asking him.

Mrs.Thornhill: The orchid produces pheromones that imitate a female insect, thus attracting males.- continues with her explanation. -Once the plant is pollinated, what do the male insects get in return?- questions waiting for the answer from one of the students.

Bianca: Nothing. - she answers before anyone else. -Like all the boys at the dance.- she finishes amusingly, causing most of the students to laugh at it.

Mrs.Thornhill: Okay, okay.- she says to get the attention of all the students. -I know you're all looking forward to Saturday, that's why I'm not going to send you homework.- she informs us, causing a small celebration on the part of the rest. -But I'm going to need volunteers for the decoration committee, anyone interested can come see me.- she says with a smile ending the class.

As soon as class ends, everyone gets up from their seats and immediately starts talking to each other.

Xavier: What? Aren't you going to participate? - he asks me directly. -Don't you like disco balls and surprise punch? - he asks with some sarcasm. -There will even be a DJ, Mc Blood Suckaz - comments with some amusement .

Wednesday: I prefer to stick needles in my eyes.- I respond immediately. -Although maybe I will do it anyway.- I comment casually, knowing that I would prefer it a thousand times over going to the dance.

Xabier: Invite someone to have a little fun.- he says bending down to put the book in his backpack and that's when I see it.

On the right side of his neck, which was being hidden by his shirt and jacket; three scratches. That has not been done in fencing.

I get up from my chair, deciding to follow my classmate and try to find out how those injuries could have been caused. He's hiding something and I plan to find out what he's hiding at all costs.

POV You

I grunt tiredly, hiding my face in my arms and resting on one of the tables in the square. This is getting repetitive too fast.

Enid: Do you want to stop growling, you're exaggerating.- she assures me, hitting my arm.

Y/n: Then stop asking me the same thing fifty times.- I growl again, raising my head from my arms and giving her a dirty look.

Enid: I haven't asked you more than 3 times! - she exclaims in defense and I look at her, raising an eyebrow.

Y/n: Three times in the last five minutes.- I point out. -But you've been asking me the same thing for five days.- I remind her breathing deeply, not wanting to lose the little patience I have left.

Enid: I'll stop asking you when you do it.- she assures me, crossing her arms and with a smile full of superiority.

Y/n: And why do you want me to ask Wednesday if she wants to go to the dance with me? - I asked her confused with the reason behind her insistence. -What do you get out of all this? - I say without understanding anything.

Enid: Because you would be a perfect couple and because unlike you, I would love for my best friend and brother to be together. - She answers with a huge smile.

Y/n: Three things- I list with my fingers. -First, what makes you think that Wednesday of all people wants to go to the dance, this being an unnecessary social event for her?- I ask, raising a finger. -Second, at what point has your mind thought that your best friend wants to be in a romantic relationship with someone, when she almost didn´t agree to be your friend?- I raise the second finger.

Enid: Because I know... - she starts in her defense but I tell her to shut up.

Y/n: I'm talking.- I remember, looking straight into her eyes. -And third, haven't you learned from what Ajax did to you?- I ask her with some anger in my voice, but my anger is not directed at her.

Because even with all my warnings not to go out with any of my friends, she asked Ajax on a date and he stood her up. The worst thing of all is that my best friend doesn't want to tell me why he stood her up and I haven't spoken to him in several days because of that.

No one plays with my sister's feelings, and Ajax 's black eye is an example of the consequences of that.

Enid: You didn't need to say the last point.- she growls at me angrily and with a certain gleam of pain in her eyes. -But whether you want to listen to me or not, there is something between you two and you can't deny it.- he assures me, looking me directly in the eyes.

Y/n: Well, look how I deny it.- I say with a false smile. -There is nothing between Wednesday and me.- I assure seriously.

Enid: You don't even believe that yourself.- she snorts, shaking her head. -It took her a month to let me hold her arm and you slept in her bed the first week, plus I can see the looks you give each other.- She points her finger at me accusingly.

Y/n: What looks are you talking about? - I ask, completely confused with what my sister means.

Enid: Oh please, the looks you give each other every time the other isn't looking and the intense but strange way of flirting you have.- she comments with exasperation.

Y/n: I don't flirt, I just have fun getting on Wednesday 's nerves.- I shrug with an amused smile.

Enid: That's called flirting.- she assures me as if it were obvious. -And don't deny it because you know we can spend the whole day like this.- she points her finger at me again so I can close my mouth. -So are you going to ask her to go to the dance with you or not? - she asks again with a big smile.

Y/n: I'll think about it.- I accept tiredly. -But you promise me that if I do, you won't bother me anymore with the looks that you say we give each other and the supposed flirtation.- I stretch my hand towards her, watching her bite her lip and think carefully about whether to accept or not.

I can see the internal struggle she is having in her head through her eyes and every slightest gesture on her face. I just wait in silence and keeping my hand outstretched.

Enid: I promise.- she growls after a while, accepting my hand. -But only if you ask, otherwise I can continue bothering you.- she says with a smile, shaking our hands energetically.

Y/n: Whatever. - I deny amused by her attitude and getting up from the bench.

Enid: Where are you going? - She asks me confused when I let go of our hands.

Y/n: I have homework to do.- I respond, raising my shoulders.

Enid: But Professor Thornhill hasn't sent us anything.- She remembers me confused.

Y/n: Do you only have botany class? - I ask amused by the look f confusion on her face. -I'm leaving.- I say goodbye, entering the school hallways.

I walk towards my room, thinking about what my sister told me and as if on cue I see the person we were talking about.

Y/n: Wednesday! - I exclaimed, calling her and running to catch up with her. -How are you going with the investigation?- I ask her when I get to her side.

Wednesday: Good.- she nods her head, continuing walking. -I have new clues and I have discovered something about the deaths.- she tells me and I walk next to her.

Y/n: Do the dates or the shape of the wounds form some pattern?- I ask interested.

Wednesday: No. - she denies in response and doesn't say anything else.

She continues walking in the direction of Ophelia Hall, so I understand that she doesn't want to continue talking and I decide to stop walking. I watch her walk away and turn around to resume my walk to my room.

Wednesday: Where are you going? - I hear her question from behind me so I turn around seeing her with her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.

Y/n: To my room.- I respond confused. -I thought that since you haven't continued talking and haven't stopped walking, you wanted me to leave you alone.- I explain simply.

Wednesday: At any other time you would be correct about the message of my actions, but this is not the case.- she assures me with her monotonous tone of voice. -Now follow me.- she practically orders me, turning around and resuming her walk towards her room.

I quickly look around, making sure no one is around and run again to catch up with her.

We do the rest of the way to the room she shares with my sister in complete silence. Once inside the room, she walks over to a cork board and looks over her shoulder at me.

I approach, looking at the board and appreciating the reports and photos of what I assume are the victims of the monster.

Wednesday: There have been a total of four murders, but none of them are related to each other other than by the monster that killed them. - she explains to me, pointing to the files of the victims . -The attacks have happened on random days, there is no pattern regarding a specific number of days between one murder and another, nor any lunar phase or anything like that. - she continues explaining to me and I see each date of the murders on each victim.

Y/n: That means that wolves, for example, are ruled out since all the murders would had to be during the full moon. - I comment, reading the forensic file of the second victim.

Wednesday: Exactly, although it is clear that there are some wolves that do not need the full moon to transform. - she comments with a knowledge that I did not know she had. - You, for example. - she points her finger at me.

Y/n: How do you know that? - I ask confused, since not many people know it and it´s better to keep it that way.

Since it is very rare that a werewolf can make a complete transformation at any time, without the need for a full moon and it is something that must be kept secret.

It is very dangerous for it to be known, since it would be a perfect excuse for the normies to blame us for any crime like this and also such information can be dangerous in the hands of another supernatural being .

Wednesday: Enid.- responds simply.

Y/n: Of course.- I growl, annoyed with my sister, since she knows she can't tell anyone.

Wednesday: But it is clear that it is not a werewolf, since the claw wounds that the victims present are more spacious than those of a werewolf. - she explains to me, pointing to an abdomen, or what remains of it . -But I have noticed that in each victim, the murderer has extracted a part of their bodies and that none of them match.- she explains to me.

Y/n: You mean, the killer has taken a part of each victim 's body? - I asked confused. -As a type of amulet or reminder?- I question looking at the girl next to me, who is with her arms crossed.

Wednesday: It seems that way, but I still don't know the exact reason. - she answers me simply.

Y/n: I may not be right.- I comment thoughtfully. -But don't serial killers usually take the same thing from all their victims? - I ask without stopping looking at the photos.

Wednesday: Not always, most prefer to take any of the victim 's personal belongings. But when it's a part of the body, it varies depending on the murderer. - She explains to me and I nod, looking at her when I hear the sound of a piece of paper.

Y/n: What is that? - I ask her when I see how she takes out some pages from inside her school jacket.

Wednesday: Some very realistic and detailed drawings that I have gotten of our monster. - she responds, hanging the two drawings on the board.

Y/n: Where did you get them from? - I ask looking at said drawings.

Wednesday: From Xabier's hut.- she answers and I look at her quickly.

Y/n: He painted this? - I ask her without stopping to look at her and blindly pointing at the drawings.

She just makes a sound of confirmation, tearing her gaze from mine and moving it to my friend's sketches.

I imitate her action, returning my gaze to the paintings and paying attention to every detail of the monster.

I know that many times Xabier has very realistic lucid dreams that he then draws. But dreams are usually related to things he has seen or knows. Which would mean that he has somehow seen the monster.

Y/n: Do you think he has something to do with the monster?- I ask her in a low voice, not knowing if I want to know the answer.

Wednesday: It is possible.- it confirms my fears. -Today he had a fairly large scratch on his neck and was acting a bit suspicious. In addition to the fact that those were not the only drawings, wherever you looked, the monster's face was everywhere in that hut. - she tells me and I sigh without wanting to continue with the topic.

I decide to take a couple of steps back, moving away from the board a little and trying to think of something else.

Y/n: Hey Wednesday.- I caught her attention, causing her to look at me instead of the board. -Would you like to go with me to the Raven on Saturday?- I ask her the first thing that comes to mind unconsciously to change the topic.

I open my eyes realizing what I've said and my heartbeat skyrockets. I can see that her eyes have also opened in surprise, but they have barely opened two millimeters and if I wasn't staring at her I wouldn't have noticed.

The air in the room becomes very heavy, due to the silence and lack of response from the black-haired girl. I swallow heavily, feeling my body temperature rise and my heart beat in my throat.

Wednesday: No. - responds monotonously and for some reason that I don't understand, I feel disappointment invade my body and a phantom weight in my heart, as if I had stones in it.

Y/n: I know that you are not the type of person who enjoys unnecessary social events like dancing and that you prefer to stay in your room writing your novel. - I explained quickly without thinking. -But I wanted to ask you just in case.- I lift my shoulders, feigning indifference.

Wednesday: I don't reject you for that reason.- she assures me and I look at her confused. -It's because I've already asked someone and that person has accepted.- she tells me with the same monotony as always.

I think since I've known her, it's the first time I hate how monotonous her voice is and how impassive her face is. Because for once, I would like her to express a minimum of feelings with her features so I can at least know what she thinks.

Y/n: Oh.- I murmur a few seconds after her response and processing the information she has given me.

She doesn't say anything, she just watches me in complete silence and for the first time, it makes me uncomfortable.

Never before had I felt so watched by her and so uncomfortable and embarrassed in her presence. I don't want to continue feeling her gaze on me, trying to read me, much less for her to realize that this rejection has somehow caused something in me.

Y/n: I think I've bothered you enough.- I clear my throat, taking a step back. -I have things to do.- I excuse myself, pointing to the door and walking towards it.

Wednesday looks at me, nodding and turning her attention back to the board.

I take advantage of the fact that her back is turned to flee from the room and walk towards mine, feeling the disappointment latent within me.

These feelings are the reason why I didn't want to ask her to go to the dance in the first place. I knew she was going to say no and that I would feel bad, but I didn't think will fell this bad.

I thought it would be like that day in the ruins, when Xabier appeared and they both ignored my existence, as if I were not by their side. I thought I would feel a certain heaviness for her failure to acknowledge my existence and anger for having her full attention on Xabier instead of me.

But it has not been that way. I know that what I felt the other time was jealousy and I still don't really understand why.

Although this time it wasn't jealousy, it was as if they were piercing my chest and squeezing my heart, preventing it from pumping blood to the rest of my body.

The worst thing of all is that she has asked someone to go to the dance, it was not another boy who asked her and for some strange reason she has been forced to accept. 

No. 

She was the one who asked someone to go to the dance with her and I didn't see her very upset about it when she told me.

On the other hand, how can I know what she feels if she never shows it.

Wednesday POV

After the strange interaction with Y/n and my refusal of his invitation to the Raven, he excuses himself and I am left alone in my room.

I don't spend much time alone before my extravagant roommate walks into our room and looks at me with a slightly disturbing smile.

Enid: I've seen my brother walk away from Ophelia Hall.- she comments in a sing-song voice, causing me to look at her seriously.

Wednesday: I have shared with him the progress of my research.- I respond walking towards her.

Enid: And you have only talked about the investigation? - she asks with some emotion to which I cannot find an obvious origin.

Wednesday: Yes.- I agree emphatically. -But I need your worldly wisdom for a last minute situation that has arisen.- I say, maintaining my usual seriousness and impassiveness, but without knowing very well what I have to do.

Enid: Okay? - nods with some insecurity.

Wednesday: What are the steps to follow to attend a social event like the Raven? - I ask, maintaining my position and avoiding reacting to the inhuman scream that my roommate lets out.

Enid: Oh my goodness! Wednesday Addams is going to the dance! - she exclaims, jumping on the spot and with a somewhat high-pitched voice. -Do you know what you need? - she asks me excitedly.

Wednesday: A shot to the head? - I ask sincerely.

Enid: A dress! - she exclaims full of emotion.

Wednesday: I already have one.- I assure her without reacting to her emotion.

Enid: Is it the one you showed up here with? - she asks with some fear on her face. -It was an abomination for fashion that not even I could resurrect.- she assures me. -Thing, help me.- she says to the hand on my right.

He responds with a thumbs up, implying that he agrees with her and that I cannot wear the dress in which I arrived at Nevermore .

Enid: You need something that says: First date, get out of the way bitches! - she exclaims with too much energy. -Besides, being Y/n's sister, I can help you better.- she assures me with an even bigger smile than the one he had before.

Wednesday: What does your brother have to do with all this?- I ask normally and with some confusion at the mention of the boy.

Enid: Aren't you going to the dance with him?- she asks, erasing the smile from her face and frowning in confusion .

Wednesday: No. - I deny immediately. -I'm going with Xabier, for reasons that aren't important right now.- I explain and I see how her face contorts in a similar way to her brother's when I rejected his invitation to the dance.

Although the expression on my roommate's face is lighter and she doesn't have the lost look like her brother has had for a few moments.

In addition, the range of emotions that her face shows is not exactly the same and there is a difference between the emotions of confusion, some sadness and perhaps guilt that Enid reflects, which are easy to decipher.

His brother's were more difficult, since I had only been able to clearly see the gesture of disappointment and the emotion of pain he made for a second.

But otherwise I can't say exactly what emotions he felt, much less the reasons why he felt them.

It's been a whole year since I did my Love Letter comic. A whoooole year! it was the 2023 event for me. Big projects with the readers' choice being so central to the story are where the joy of fandom and storytelling is at.

It was so much fun, the most fun I've had in fan spaces in so long, y'all really made it possible. And I would actually love to do another poll/ choose-your-own-outcome story ... they do require a lot of planning to hace the parts and polls on time, hehe.

Anyway, every time i re read it, it makes me very nostalgic and emotional, but in a very good way.

Hello and welcome to my contribution to Dincember!

Following NaNoWriMo (which I used to complete a draft of a modern AU!Din x reader fic that I aim to start posting in January) I wanted to attempt another writing project to maintain my sanity during this festive period! I'm aiming to complete all 25 days but life can sometimes be unpredictable, especially at this time of year.

Day 2 - Fire: During a trip to a peaceful cabin with Din and Grogu, you awake one morning and discover that Grogu is poorly. You and Din are extremely worried but after a visit from a healer and the warmth of the fire you light, his condition soon improves.

Day 3 - Gloves: As you sit watching Grogu play by the fire while holding hands with Din, you reflect on how a simple part of his body says so much about the complex man that you are so privileged to love. A simple pleasure that you would have been denied, if he had never removed his gloves.

Day 4 - Lights: You introduce Din to a favourite Life Day tradition of yours: hanging up lights. It's a tradition that he finds slightly bemusing but after a slight hiccup which is soon resolved, thanks to the abilities possessed by Grogu, the two of you set about making a cheesy new Life Day tradition all of your own.

Day 5 - Cold: After your favourite Mandalorian's latest assignment with the New Republic means that his return to your cabin is delayed, you head to bed, thoroughly miserable. But when Din finally arrives home the reunion does not go entirely smoothly, as you find yourself needing to warm him up, with adorable consequences.

Day 6 - Gifts: It's Life Day and time for you and Din exchange gifts. You love sharing in the joy of seeing others surprised with your gifts, but nothing surprises you more than the incredibly thoughtful gift Din gives to you.

Day 7 - Star: As you lie on Din's strong chest, looking at the stars and reflecting how grateful you are that your paths crossed, you discover once again, that the man with the fearsome reputation is incredibly soft underneath his hard Beskar shell.

Day 8 - Flame: A fire pit outside your little cabin on Nevarro has always been a dream of yours. So, when Din finally agrees to build one, you are delighted, especially when he secures your favourite sweet treats too. But it's Din's first time roasting candy on a campfire and things don't exactly go to plan...

Day 9 - Boots: Raising a Force-sensitive child is not an easy task, especially one as mischievous as Grogu. When the little guy decides to play a game of hide and seek without telling you and Din first, you find him in a place that you would never have expected.

Day 10 - Sweater: After his latest job with the New Republic takes him away from your home, you find yourself missing Din terribly. But, despite how sappy and lame as you feel for doing so, you find wearing his sweater brings you a great deal of comfort when you need it most.

Day 11 - Icicle: An innocent icicle causes Din to reminisce on a moment he shared with Grogu on the Razor Crest shortly after rescuing The Child from the Imps on Nevarro.

Day 12 - Warmth: After you find yourself caught up in a rainstorm that drenches you to the bone on the forest planet you call home, an unexpectedly kind Mandalorian helps you to get warm again.

Day 13 - Family: Din Djarin is a complex man, with many walls you have not yet successfully broken down. You have been slowly building a life with the man who has a traumatic past he has alluded to, but never discussed in detail. One night, Din wakes up from a nightmare and finally lets you in. You comfort him, reminding him of your love for him and how much he deserves his unlikely family.

Day 14 - Home: During a moment cuddling with Din underneath the festive lights in your cabin, Din confides in you what home means to him.

Day 15 - Candle: Despite planning a special evening to mark your final night in the cabin that you, Din and Grogu have enjoyed a relaxing vacation in, your plans are soon thwarted by an unexpected power cut. However, the sudden loss of light ends up having very romantic consequences.

Day 16 - Sweet: After a tiring day of yard work, you decide to introduce Din and Grogu to one of your favourite festive drinks: hot chocolate. Although the sweetness proves a little too much for one of your Clan.

Day 17 - Joy: Despite you and Din having plans to go to a special festive market with Grogu, you wake up feeling awful, as though all festive cheer has been sucked out of you. Fortunately, you have a loving and caring Mandalorian who helps you regain your joy.

Day 18 - Snowflake: As Din stands by the window, watching the snow fall outside your cabin in the mountain paradise he brought you to for a vacation, he reveals a hilarious memory of his first encounter with snow to you. One that you are keen not to let him forget in a hurry.

Day 19 - Coat: You and Din arrive for a vacation in a picturesque snowy mountain town. There's just one problem: you brought the wrong coat. You head into town in search of the perfect coat but after a long day of fruitless searching, fortunately you have an incredibly patient and attentive Mandalorian to help you through the shopping stress.

Day 20 - Celebration: To show Din how much he means to you, you decide to make a special gesture in celebration of him by cooking him a traditional Mandalorian feast. Despite having your heart set on a perfect evening, a certain green child has other ideas...

Day 21 - Love: Despite how much time you have been spending with Din and getting to know him, you are still none the wiser as to whether your feelings for him are reciprocated. But an impromptu night of stargazing leads to a confession that may just change everything for the two of you...

Day 22 - Cozy: When Grogu wakes up upset in the middle of the night, both you and Din are concerned for him. But getting cozy and cuddling with his Clan soon brightens the little boy's mood.

Day 23 - Frost: You and Din wake up one morning to discover the volcanic planet you call home has been plunged into a deep frost. You are awestruck by the gleaming ground and the icy crystals that cling to every surface. You and Din decide to head out for a walk with Grogu, who is fascinated by the way his favourite pond has frozen over.

Day 24 - Ice: The unseasonably weather on Nevarro causes a pond to freeze and thanks to a stroke of good luck, a passing vendor is able to offer the opportunity to skate on it. You expect that Din will be a natural, but things do not go entirely to plan.

Day 25 - Holiday Waking up before Din on Life Day gives you the opportunity to admire all the little details and features of the man you love so much.

So, over the time I've come back here, I've become pretty confident and proud of my once hidden passion about sick characters, sickfics and sick comfort/whump... 🌡️

And you all have been so supportive and sweet despite my weirdness so I thank you for that. You helped me feel more confident in my otherwise weird fixation <3 So, for my birthday I thought I'd try and make up a little drawing challenge for anyone who wants to give it a try... There are soo many talented artists on this site (and in this fandom)

So... It's your turn to target your faves now. You will see how fun it is and hopefully understand why I love doing it so much. 😈🌡️

So here's the challenge and the rules!! (featuring my two main lil targets ofc :3)

If you're in the RainCode community you can target anyone, but as you know, my main targets are Yuma and Makoto. If they're also your faves and who you decide to use, that will make me extra happy!

Some tips for anyone new to drawing a sick day scenario art. A few things that make it look convincing are the following:

Pajamas or Loungewear

Messy Bed Hair

Fever flushed face w sweat or at least a red nose

Tired Eye bags

Shivery body

Ice Pack or a Compress on the head

Thermometer sticking from their mouth

LOTS OF BLANKETS

Tissues or medicine surrounding them

Tea or Soup (or both)

Those are just to name some from the top of my head. If you'd like some pointers on how to make a character look ill, check out my Fever Coloring Guide. This is for digital artists but traditional artists can try it too!

You can add injury or angst to the scene but I'd like illness to be the main focus of it.

The scene can be anything you want to, it can be fluffy and wholesome (with a caretaker) it can be angsty, or it can be silly. Its all up to you! Do it for the sake of fluff! Caretaking scenes are the best for any kind of relationship >w<

Either way, have fun with it!! I look forward to see what people make if they decide to give it a try! It doesn't even have to be a full on picture! Doodles and sketches are fine too! Just show me something >w<

Sickfics are one of the biggest things I live for! Any little drabbles or full fics with more than one chapter are welcome! The Primarchs having a sleepover!

Thank you so much! So here is a primarch-sleepover-thing! It was Big Es idea, so they can bond a little.

Lion: He is a bit on edge. His instincts tell him that sleeping in a room with so many people is dangerous. They later play Truth or dare and he ends up getting dared to kiss his crush (depending on my mood Sang, Rob, Leman or Konrad). Insert Gay Panic. Also showed up in his regular sleeping-shirt, which… it‘s a bit short. And has a bit of a deep neckline. Fulgrim: He has the most fancy, ruffliest nightgown ever. Brought make-up, hairstyling stuff and drugs for everyone. He‘s having a great time, except when he and Ferrus are told to stop making out in front of everyone. Proceeds to explain that they are in a open relationship and that he‘s willing to share. Perty: He has no idea what to do. Showed up in full armour, because he usually sleeps in armour. Promptly got dressed up by like half the others. Then built a pillowfort, Magnus falls asleep in it. Starting to think this might be fun. Jagh: One of the ones more used to sleeping in a room with a lot of other people, so he is pretty chill about this. Teaches the other how to braid, Leman is very happy to serve as guinea pig. Ends up cuddeling with Magnus, which is very comfy. Somehow manages to sleep through the whole night and be rested the next morning. Leman: Very happy to have a sleepover (tough he is still confused why this is special, sleeping alone is kind of rare on Fenris). Brought his wolves along. And alcohol, lot’s of alcohol. Somehow he manages to get drunk, and thus very cuddly. Flirts with everyone and tries to smooch most. Ends up sleeping on the floor, in a position that must be uncomfortable. Also barks in his sleep. Does sleep naked (or in his underwear) Rogal: He tries his best, but sleeping in a room with so many people is sensory hell and he wants his own bed again and also sleep at a reasonable time. Rob realizes that Rogal isn‘t doing well too, so the two end up in Rogals room and facetime their brothers so they can still participate in the sleepover while also beeing in a calmer enviroment. Konrad: Fulgrim forced him to take a bath. He is still grumpy because of that and tries to hide in the vents. Then get‘s coaxed out with the power of snacks and spends the rest of the evening parked in someones lap (most likely Fulgrim, Sang or Vulkan) so he doesn’t run away. It‘s very comfy. Refuses to sleep surrounded by so many people. His Sleeping-shirt hasn‘t been washed in years. Sang: Wearing a matching nightgown to Fulgrim. Just with a lowercut back. He is having a very good time and probally ends up kissing everyone at least once. Ends up stealing half the blankets to build a nest. There nearly is a battle royale abput who get‘s to sleep next to him.

Ferrus: Fulgrim is very unhappy that he didn‘t match with him. He and Fulgrim are very cuddly the whole time. Happy to serve as Fulgrims pillow, very good at it. Angron: Not quite sure what‘s going on, but Lorgar put him into a fluffy pijama-sweater and dragged him along and now he keeps getting handed plushies and snacks. It is acceptable. Then he just falls asleeps and doesn‘t move for the next few hours. Roboute: He also tries his best, but this is a total mess that has been organized really badly! Ends up leaving with Rogal and they read some books and infodump on each other, which is very nice. Morty: He‘s very overwhelmed at first and has no idea what to do. Just kind of sits in the corner at first, but then Vulkan comes over and asks if he would like to do something. They end up playing cardgames together and in the end he uses Vulkan as a giant teddybear. Also wears a pijama with cute little moths on it. Magnus: He suggests summoning demons as a fun actinity for the whole family! The others barely manage to stop him. Sulks for a while but then Perturabo shows him his pillowfort, which cheers him up again. Then makes up with everyone from his harem. Clothes that actually cover something? Never heard of that. Horus: Also tries to flirt with literally everyone and get‘s some really hard wingslaps from Sang. Then goes to take Fulgrims drugs and drink Lemans alcohol. Somehow still capable of calling Emps and Malc and assuring them that everything is fine. Horribly hungover the next day. Also sleeps either naked or only in his underwear. Lorgar: Is it fine to sleep in the same room as other people if you are not married? Doesn‘t matter, Angron won‘t let him go anyways. Definetly wearing a sleeping bonnet, he can‘t sleep with cold ears. Vulkan: He remembers to bring actual snacks! Very excited to spend time with his siblings and needs to hug everyone at least ten times. He kind of imagined something diffrent under „playing games“, but this is fun too! Corvus: Kind of staying on the side until Vulkan convices them to play cards with him and Morty. And then they and Morty get pulled into also playing stuff like spin the bottle and seven minutes in heaven. Which is fun! Sleeps on the closet (not in the closet, that‘s where Lion is). Also wearing a crow-onesie, it‘s absolutly adorable Alpharius Omegon: This was probally their idea. They are having such a good time with all the chaos. Refuse to explain why there are suddenly two of them.
