Absolutely same about that dude. I had such a high hopes that by the end I was laughing to avoid crying (or something like that)

We mourn and laugh over Ceodric's catastrophic existence together, anon! In a way, I guess this is better than him being 100% a good person and then getting denied happiness because he happened to be Love Triangle Guy #2. This way, he gets to instead act as someone for Seofon (and Sabrina, kinda) to argue ideals with, which I think is better in the long run.

On that note, I really would've wanted to see how Anre reacted to Ceodric, because unlike Seofon he's very well-acquainted with that combo of grief and desire to micromanage power/equality regardless of hypocrisy. Anre has the benefit of his loss being years prior, so he's had more time to think through everything and see the flaws in his ideals (hence why the Eternals are such a varied bunch). He'd look at Ceodric and his blind rage, see his younger self in it, and get to Socratic Method-ing him into at least being more at peace.

Now, would that have been interesting to read? To me, yeah, but maybe not to other people. XD; So Seofon was the better choice in the long run, because he annoyed Ceodric into revealing his flaws quicker and made their scenes entertaining right to the end.

yeah, his family jewels are attacked in multiple strips. thought he also just dies sometimes. one time a rivercuda is hurled at them, one time two really strong people play rock paper scissors in front of him and the air pressure knocks them out, once he takes a hit in the balls to protect fif, one time anre saves his balls while seofon was petrified and hes in tears saying "i dont know what happened but it feels like you protected something important to me". seofon lives in cbt hell

that explains why his first thought during the Sumo strip was to protect his balls and the descriptions says he did it without thinking, he's just traumatized at this point because he keeps going through various cbt abuse.

I suppose grand blues is really testing the Master of Swords's weaker sword every update or so.

But poor lad. The suffering is real. I feel so bad for him now.

Been playing a lot of Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising lately and I've surprisingly been having a lot of fun with it. The original game just never sat well with me for some reason. Something about it being way more ground-based than a lot of the anime air-dashers I had been playing really just made it hard to get into. However, nowadays with the entire fighting game meta shifting to a more simple, grounded control scheme I've slowly been conditioned to accepting and excelling in the game now. I mean, in terms of game feel, I'm not exactly making EVO any time soon.

So far my favorite characters have been Nier and Zeta.

Nier is a puppet fighter and as a Carl Clover main I have to play and snidely judge every puppet fighter and every game. Nier gets a 7/10 for me. Death is fun to control, her moveset has a lot of ways to open up an opponent, she has a reliable DP (something they give NO puppet fighter for a damn good reason if you've played against a good Nier), and Jenny Yokobori absolutely killed it voicing her. She's basically a simplified Carl, something I haven't seen a fighting game do since... Carl Clover's Simple-Input mode. Death can be places and set in certain areas of the screen and you can even "load" some of her moves to set up block strings and mixups. I consider myself a middling fighting game player and I'm surprised how much depth she has to her.

Zeta's really fun as well in terms of a straightforward rushdown fighter. You can't go completely brainless unga-bunga with her, but you can get damn close. Pogo combos are funny as hell, you can easily do some corner-carry wackiness if you've got meter, and using her 214H to armor through DPs and steal the souls of your opponent fuels the darkness in my heart. And thanks to Mela Lee voicing her I can't hear her as anything else but sassy, shounen, FGC Rin Tohsaka. I'm serious, she just sounds like Rin Tohsaka if she got really into fighting games. The twintails and red outfit DO NOT help dissuade from this mindset either.

I think next I'm gonna' try messing with Narmaya, Anre, and Djeeta, see how I feel about them in terms of gameplay.

And no, I don't play the gacha game. Arknight's has already got me by the balls and I literally can't afford to get into another gacha game. That said, after scrolling through the list of characters I'd definitely be psyched if Kung Fu Goat Girl, Assassin Claw Lady, Blonde Not-Weeb Samurai Girl, or Rock Howard got in. But mostly Kung Fu Goat Girl.

Granblue Fantasy Versus RPG Mode FINALE [Singularities?]

I’m strong enough to do some of the DLC, but the demand for the later additions demand I probably have played the RPG Mode from top to bottom. At least I can finish the added main story before moving on to Arcade tomorrow.
