Asking this because she’s probably the best-known transage kid in the world.
Was there any real evidence that Stefonknee Wolscht was a predator? And that her transage identity was a front for that? Because I see that allegation a lot. Like, a lot a lot. And I’m not sure if there’s truth to it, or if any OtY transage person automatically gets slapped with that label purely by virtue of being OtY transage. I want to believe victims. But I also want to take claims like this made against a transage transgender woman with a grain of salt.
I also see “deadbeat dad” allegations get thrown around a lot because of her abandoning her children when she went to go live as her internal age. That I think there’s a bit of truth to. Like, there needs to be a way for OtY transage kids who discover themselves later in life to live as themselves without abandoning people who depend on them being an adult. But “deadbeat dad” ≠ “predator”.
I’m just trying to learn about transage people that have previously existed on the very rare off chance that I ever come out to anyone.
It's so difficult to try and find any factual information pointing to such allegations as the most vocal online voices discussing her are vehemently transphobic, transmisogynist, and transageist. You're right that she's one of the most well-known transage people; an OtY transage trans woman who is unabashedly unafraid of being herself is an easy scapegoat for conservatives.
Not to dismiss the possibility of course, but I can't really find any evidence that Stefonknee was ever a predator (a term I personally hate for semantic reasons, but I digress). All I can see is that bigoted people saw a trans woman with a higher chrono age who considered her true age to be in the single digits, who then lived under the care of adults who had children with younger chrono ages, and immediately labeled her to be a predator. Because their narrative is that people would only be OtY transage to "get access to children".
I absolutely agree with you on the "deadbeat dad" thing, even though we know the people complaining about it only care about that in this instance because she's a trans woman trans kid and give plenty of pericishet deadbeat dads a pass. It also appears that Stefonknee was charged with harassment and assault by her ex-wife. These are of course condemn-able actions, if true. However, as you say, that doesn't make her a predator, or her gender or age identity any less true. There will always be individuals of any and every group of people who are just not great people themselves.
As far as I can tell, Stefonknee is still a vocal transgender and transage advocate today. It looks like she even published her own book recently and is active on Instagram.
I hope this helped a bit, and that you eventually feel comfortable to come out. Those who stood out as transage before us are certainly important, but we will continue to advocate for ourselves as it becomes easier for newer generations to learn that transage is a thing they can be and that's okay!

Hey!! I lost your ask me question so I’ma just @ you instead! @sosadraws
Yes the doodles are an oc! My oc Bär which means Bear in German! I named her that cuz she had a teddy bear personality! The little kollbri she was holding was her friend, Depp (which means nerd in German!) they have a sort of hate love relationship considering Depp is more of a longer and Bär can’t go a day without a hug. But there good friends!

I kinda prefer Rabie being a vampire bat of the blood sucker to make contrast on her possible Dreaming Critter and his fruit bat style. BUT I wonder how would you design Rabie in your style if you went for her being a fruit bat OR a vampire bat? And how much do you love that Rabie idea you made?
Hm. Lol. Well I do think Rabie is a vampire bat. And her design is fine as it is. I have a bad habit of over thinking things sometimes. Plus I honestly don't know anything about bats so I don't think I can rightfully say "how" to draw a vampire bat properly. Know what I mean?

Hi, I really love all of your stories, I’m currently just going through everything you’ve written on tumblr, thank you so much for writing it! I’m going through some stuff right now and reading your stories is helping a lot!
I just finished Please Fix The Story and I had a question. How do you keep Bel and Liams core the same? Especially with Liam not remembering his previous lives and each world being so different. It really caught my attention that they started the same but still changed because of their surroundings.
(Sorry for my messy English, it’s not my first language and it’s hard to express myself and my thoughts clearly in it. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say…)
Hey, thanks for the question! Glad you like my work!
As to how I keep their cores the same, I think no matter what circumstances, bodies or stories you put them into, their souls remain the same. For Liam, they could never really make him the villain, no matter how many villain roles they assigned him. He's much too soft and warm to be the monster they wanted. Same for Bel. Her body and circumstances might change, but she's actually fairly motivated to help others, especially anyone who is family.
I hope that answered your question! Who the stuff you're going through gets better!

do you support Israel?
I am anti-Zionist
If you're only asking this because I reblogged something mentioning Judaism tho, I really think you need to reevaluate why you're equating Judaism with Zionism

I am glad you are aware 12 Raph isn’t abusive. But Mikey dies provoke him for attention knowing Raph will get angry tho. But you didn’t bring that up I appreciate that. It’s a failure to communicate between the two. Like Raph never really told Mikey his teasing hurts him or that mikey never told Raph insulting Mikey hurts Mikey. I get what you mean and thank you. I relate to 12 Raph because like him my family are abusive and dismiss my anger a lot. I have bpd which I headcanon Raph with.
Yes! It's not one sided here, I used to point fingers at everyone else and didn't really consider my own actions. Took me a while to get a reality check that I did do stuff wrong as well not just my friends, TMNT 2012 and ROTTMNT have helped me show my own flaws with Mikey very well.
I think I did mention the teasing part but maybe I wrote it a bit too soft, if so i'm sorry :,> He tends to be passive aggressive and very petty, he gets back to Raphael by verbally getting under his skin to make him angry, which might as well can be also considered abusive, if people only want to point fingers at Raphael and say that he is abusive (which I still don't believe).
He's just very misunderstood like all the other turtle brothers and I 100% believe, if Raphael knew that Mikey had major ADD, he would be much more careful and figure out early, if Mikey is being hyper with something and didn't mean harm or if he's intending to anger him with his comments.
If i'm able to notice this because of my ADD, i'm certain Raphael would have figured the pattern as well! Rise Donnie literally figured this with Rise Mikey and he has low empathy.
I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through this, I had a friend who was like 2012 Raphael and she sadly didn't had it any better with her home- I hope you can recover and find peace❤️

Hi. I thought I might send you an ask because your blog feels like a safe place for it.
I was doing a little research and trying to figure where the earliest transabled advocates are now. It turned out that the woman who had identified as transblind and blinded herself with drain cleaner did an AMA on Reddit. She confessed that her psychiatrist had had a fetish for blind women, and that he had gaslit her into believing that she had BIID and convinced her to go through with blinding herself. She said she regrets what she did and that she intends to pursue legal action. I feel terrible for her, and I hope she gets justice. But I’m also scared for what this means for the transabled movement at large.
I’m a transgender person, and I know how much the small percentage of detransitioners and desistors have been used by conservatives to push transgender identities further and further out of society. And detransition/desistance for transabled identities has got to be worse. With a transgender identity, the worst that usually happens to detransitioners is dysphoria, which is terrible but not the same as lifelong loss of an ability. The transgender community has mostly fought back against these attacks by conservatives by pointing out how tiny the detransition rate is. But we don’t know the size of the transabled detransition or regret rate. I think our best argument is that the right to bodily autonomy means that some people are going to inevitably make choices they might regret. But I wanted to hear your thoughts. I think we need to deal with the issue of regret before it becomes a weapon for those opposing transableism.
Hi! I'm honestly very flattered you sent this ask here as a safe space, which I do honestly try to be for well-intentioned discussion surrounding transid and queer identities.
Mind you I tend to type partial responses, save as draft, continue, save, etc. so these also may end up not nearly as cohesive as I may like but hopefully I'll be able to contribute discussion to your points.
So I first want to start off by stating, without trying to minimize the personal impact this woman's experience has had in her own life, that Ms. Shuping is basically the transabled Rachel Dolezal to the general public. By that I mean, news outlets started reporting on instances of what we now call transidentities in the mid 2010's as transgender talking points were starting to come up more in public discussion. She was made an example of in the public eye (as Dolezal was) in regards to the "slippery slope" argument of "if you can choose your gender, what's stopping you from identifying as literally anything else??" <- said as if that's somehow a bad thing. She is the first and usually only example ever brought up whenever transability is mentioned outside of our own spaces, usually by people trying to make a "gotcha that's why this is bad!" point.
With that being said, obviously it does sound like the went through something awful. And unfortunately you are correct that her story was and, as I've mentioned, still is used as an anti-morphological freedom talking point. This is because it is apparently easier and more satisfying to point and mock at others considered societally incongruent than to try and break down the bigger picture here - that being the (USA) healthcare system and the power imbalance providers have over patients.
When it comes to transgender/transsex "detransitioning", I actually have very mixed feelings on what "the best" talking points are. "There aren't that many anyways" sounds in line with "born this way" is that, sure I guess that might possibly be true in at least most instances...... but would it matter if that wasn't true? I feel we do ourselves a disservice in the long run attempting to minimize our existence in order to be accepted. Even if they may (arguably) help us in the short term, we start running into issues in the long term. We know that as transgender/sex acceptance has risen, so has the number of people who consider themselves as such. So statistically, it's more likely that there will also be more people overall that figure out they're actually cisgender/sex, even if it were a consistently small percentage of that population.
Given this, my current thinking is that you are correct - our best argument is that the right to bodily autonomy means that some people are going to inevitably make choices they might regret. And this is true for any and all morphological freedom. Some people will have invasive genital surgery because they feel its best for them in that moment to do so and then regret it later. Some people will have abortions and then regret doing so. Or have sterilization surgery up to and including organ removal for cisgender/sex people as well as trans. And some people, yes, will have some other non-reproductive organ removed or ability purposely lost and then wish later that they had not. What we need to instill is that none of these are good arguments for taking away bodily autonomy. There are many other avenues that we can discuss in trying to help minimize regret rates for any changes to oneself, but taking away bodily autonomy should never be answer. Unfortunately, due to this being a complicated issue because humans are complicated and the answer for every individual isn't going to be an easy straight-forward one, most people just prefer to not even engage with it and just ban things whole-cloth. Not like it affects them any, right?
This is getting pretty long and rambly already, so even if I haven't addressed all your points I hope you still get something out of it? And anyone who wants to contribute is of course always welcome and encouraged to!

Look I don’t like AI Art or art theft but you seriously need to learn how to handle drama better. You shouldn’t act like someone asking you to draw plus sized characters is inherently negative too.
Confronting the thief is how most drama of this type is handled. I never responded negatively to being asked to draw obese art. The actual problem is the theft. I never responded to their request. But at no point did I imagine this person would steal.
