The Anya Hindmarch Ice Cream Project Pop-up has arrived for the Summer 🍦

Featuring new flavours such as McVities Penguin and Perello Olives, there’s something for everyone to try, from £4.50 per scoop. You can have a taste of up to two flavours before making your decision. I tried the custard and it was deliciously smooth and creamy!

Branded caps and t-shirts are also available, and you can even purchase a big tub of your favourite ice cream for £16 and have it carried home in a cool bag for £5.50.

Fancy skipping the queues? Have a leisurely tasting session of all 15 flavours in the Anya Café next door for £40. Which flavours are you going to try?

Post Box Maze - Anya Hindmarch

So to celebrate the launch of a new bag and to coincide with London Fashion Week, Anya Hindmarch decided to commission a maze to be built in the Brewer Street Car Park.  It sounded pretty cool so we headed on down to check it out.

The maze itself was very red!  The walls and floor were all covered in a red felt material which when you’re walking through the maze makes the whole place pretty surreal.  It was a pretty big maze and took a little time to get through.

What made it even longer was that dotted around the maze were speakers set up through which recordings of letters were being read out by actors.  An example is shown above with a letter from Michael Tolliver being read by Ian Mckellen.  There was one from 3 Elvis fans to President Eisenhower when he was called up and a bunch of others.  They were pretty interesting.

You can’t really get an idea of the size of it from this as it stretches really far back but you can see the influences of MC Escher paintings which is what the maze is based on.  The maze itself was designed by puzzle and maze designer Adrian Fisher and it is very cool!

At the end of the maze, there was a small cafe selling mail related treats like these cute little postage stamp cookies. 

We ended up getting a larger envelope design cookie to go with out coffee.  The cookie was pretty good; nice and crumbly and with a not too thick layer of sweet icing on top.

I liked this installation.  It looks great and was fun to just walk around and listen to the letters.  A nice way to spend a short hour :)
