THEY MAKE ME CRAZZYYYYY. and honestly the way their dynamic make me insane doesnt even HAVE to be read as romantic. But i feel so much crazier when i see them shipped and its not even capitalizing on all the shit theyve got going on.

So anyways here's my Zoro and Sanji retrospective I spent several hours on I guess. As if it's my fault.

When Zoro and Sanji meet, Sanji has given up on his dream to see the All-Blue in favor of supporting Zeff.

Zoro is still throwing himself at his dream to be the greatest swordsman with all his might, and nearly dies to Mihawk for it.

Initially, from Sanji's outside perspective, it seems like a waste of precious life.

Zoro promising never to disappoint Luffy when he's on death's door clearly makes Sanji reconsider, though.

The next time Sanji and Zoro really interact after Zoro's defeat is when they go after Nami at Arlong Park.

And the first thing Sanji learns about Zoro is.......that he's willing to hit girls!

To Sanji, Zoro seems like he's willing to turn on someone-- and worse, willing to hurt a girl-- just because he's angry for an apparent betrayal that no one has any concrete proof of yet. What a jerk! Surely that earned him the dig Sanji makes about his loss to Mihawk.

Unbeknownst to Sanji, however, Zoro has already bet his life on Nami's friendship being genuine by almost drowning himself.

Zoro doesn't want to bother explaining this to some stupid new guy who's willing to side with a stranger purely on the basis of her gender. Clearly, Sanji doesn't understand ANYTHING about this crew, and should just stay out of things.

And so their initial mutual dislike is born!!!

They tend to bicker a lot after this, but I think the next time Sanji brings up Mihawk is in Alabasta.

Once again, Sanji is hitting below the belt because he's convinced Zoro's done something nigh-unforgivable: doubting Luffy. It's a reminder that their rivalry at this point is still built on genuinely misjudging each others' character.

Now at this point I've run out of my 100 daily shounen jump chapters so I can't find for you the PRECISE moment thet are mutually like "yeah ok fine you're a DECENT guy I GUESS" in Alabasta but I think it's the clock tower maybe? The point is that the whole crew has to work together VERY HARD to defeat Crocodile and it shows Sanji and Zoro that they can count on each other to support the crew, at least.

Their improved relationship is apparent in one of my fave downtime scenes so far: Sky Island jungle dinner :)

I...don't think we've seen Sanji ask for help cooking before this point?? Much less from Zoro. So I fucking love that. And Zoro goes along with it, even though he complains!!!!! It shows perfectly how they now trust each other to help take care of the crew.

Another one if my fave examples of them counting on each other in a kind of funny way is when they're fighting Zombie Oars.

Zoro pushes Sanji's buttons on purpose to get him to go along with it, and it works. But it also shows that Zoro was counting on him to give him a boost! The middle panel could even imply Zoro jumped before Sanji agreed to anything, which really proves how much they're willing to couny on each other now.

Which of course brings us to the conclusion of Thriller Bark and a WILD curveball in their relationship: thes self-sacrificial x2 combo.

What Sanji does here floored me. At this point not only does he trust Zoro as a part of the crew, but he considers Zoro a more irreplacable member of the crew than himself.

And Zoro refuses to let him.

Now, we know from his initial fight with Mihawk that Zoro being willing to kill himself doesn't mean he considers his life unimportant. Zoro and Luffy are both unafraid of death, because they have to be willing to die to even have a ghost of a chance of achieving their dreams.

That's why Zoro chooses to take on Luffy's pain and why he is able to survive it.

Zoro's sacrifice obviously means a lot to Sanji. When Zoro refuses to acknowledge his sacrifice, Sanji goes along with that and covers for him.

And of course he understands. The pain Sanji mentions here that Zoro is trying to spare Luffy from is the exact same pain that lead Sanji to give up on his dream of finding the All-Blue in favor of trying to repay his life debt to Zeff. Sanji wouldn't wish the guilt he feels for Zeff's leg on anybody.

Sanji shows a lot of concern for Zoro after this point up until the time skip!! He calls Zoro a hero to Brook, and tries to help Zoro deal with his excess injuries without drawing attention to them. Zoro is of course surly about it, because he's frustrated by his own limits. He got a taste of what Luffy goes through and it just made him more desperate to become strong enough to lighten Luffy's load.

I find their sort-of reset after the timeskip hilarious.

Sanji was already feeling deeply insecure when he got sent to the island of question your gender and sexuality-- things Sanji clearly considers very important to his identity. Since he can't bear to question himself, he relies on reacting combatively to things that challenge his masculinity. Kicking them, mostly. I'm sure he picked that up from Zeff.

Meanwhile, Zoro is THE most traditionally Masculine member of the crew besides Sanji by a long shot (Franky is in 3rd place as a self-professed freak with blue hair and pronouns who refuses to wear pants). Zoro is buffer than Sanji. And seemingly more stoic than Sanji. And Zoro has cool scars and uses three swords and his muscles are bigger and half the time he's not even wearing a shirt.

This masculinity contest between them was present before the timeskip too, but it's really the only good explanation for the extremeness of Sanji's sour attitude the moment he lays eyes on post-timeskip Zoro and remarks, aloud, "He's back. Like I really care..." after how much appreciation Sanji showed for Zoro's sacrifice before the timeskip.

Sanji WOULD be annoyed at his crewmate's seemingly effortless, unshakeable masculinity after two years of doggedly avoiding non-consensual crossdressing and constantly fighting for his life to outrun gay thoughts.

Zoro's side of things so far post-timeskip seems a bit less wound-up than Sanji. Zoro never takes an insult sitting down, and also just enjoys making snide remarks, so if Sanji's going to argue with him there's no reason for Zoro not to argue back.

This is why I am a gay Zoro truther, even if that gayness has nothing to do with anyone on the crew. Because its fucking hilarious if Sanji is one-sidedly trying to out-hetero-masculinity a literal gay man.

My hot take is that Ashe from FE3H is a wonderful young man (and a cutie patootie) who deserves good things.

He might come across as bland for not having an obvious surface personality trait other than "nice" and "dead dad (x2 combo!)", but I think having a normal, 'commoner' boy who's doing his best to become a knight and give back for all he and his siblings have received is a breath of fresh air. We love a guy who just loves good books, cooking good food, and who's still really down-to-earth about the struggles others face. I also really enjoy that he had his own individual rejoin conditions in Verdant Wind! (It's a shame he's not a great combat unit, though I always use him anyways.)

Rewatching that yt video of all of Doug’s scenes and I feel so bad for him

In the first scene he’s in, you can tell he just wants to be included, part of the conversation. He’s not sure how to join in, but he’s trying so hard, laughing at Clint’s ‘joke’, reacting to what others are saying, but from afar.

And all Wade has to do is say his name in that warning tone and Doug backs away so quickly without protest. They’ve done this before, multiple times. Doug knows he’s not fitting in, not quite getting it right. He’s trying so hard. Reading books to try to figure out what’s missing, putting himself out there. He says things he thinks other will agree with (I blame rap music), whether or not he actually believes them isn’t clear.

He tells his students about his (probably very stressful) weekend, but not his coworkers, because out of the two groups, only one of them will listen. They may not really get it, but they listen, and he can understand that feeling.

When the shit hits the fan, he’s still so unsure what to do. He puts a hand on Lucy’s side (going for assurance, maybe?) but removes it just as quickly, looking like he regrets it. He yells what he probably thinks is some kind of encouragement at Clint, wrestling with Patriot on the floor. He’s looking to everyone else for some sort of indication on what to do, but everyone’s panicking, so he’s panicking.

This is an unfounded headcanon but I think Doug usually does the whole exaggerated be quiet thing for his students and they think it’s funny, so he’s used to doing it that way and now it’s his default. (That or he has possible auditory hallucinations? Also an excuse to dunk on Rebekkah which is a good enough reason in my book lmao)

He risks his life to study Clint’s infection, and not only does nobody else react, but Wade outright says he doesn’t care. Not a single one of these people care that he puts himself at risk trying to help. And when he finally does return with his hypothesis, their main concern is that he did it all with his bare hands. As if that’s what’s important in the moment.

He’s used to it. That’s the worst part. He’s used to their indifference or dismissal. When he asks them to follow him so he can explain what he’s discovering, and nobody does, he just shrugs like he expected it and continues on with his observations.

I’m kind of surprised they didn’t just leave him there when he gets tackled by the kid, use him as a distraction while they escaped. Maybe they knew they’d need his knowledge, maybe they figured they needed all the hands they could get. Maybe they just acted without thinking, who knows.

And he’s so smart, and able to compartmentalize in a way that none of the others seem to be able to do. Yes, this is a child, a former student, that he’s dissecting (brain surgery with his bare hands???) but it’s necessary to understand what’s happening. He’s not trying to be a creep when he asks Tamra about hitting puberty, he’s gathering relevant data, and I’m willing to bet the more sinister implications of asking a child about her body never even crossed his mind in this situation. He’s a scientist.

And he’s still trying so hard. Trying to prove that he has things worth sharing with the group, trying to help them understand like he does, going into detail so they can get where he’s at. He sounds impatient when his knowledge gets questioned, so he gives context, but the spike incident isn’t relevant here, Rebekkah (dunking x2 combo)

When Lucy attempts to correct him, his response is ‘oh ok this is how i’ve seen people respond to this, anyway moving on’ (So he obviously doesn’t notice when the word switches happen, or at least not all the time)

Just about every time he tries to add onto a conversation he gets something wrong, and you can tell he knows it, but he keeps trying. (I’m not deep-diving into his bucket list comment lmao)  During Wade’s hype speech, he doesn’t mean to take away from the momentum, he just knows Wade was factually incorrect.

Then he makes a fucking CATTLE PROD???? Fuck Tracy’s fork-studded safety cone, clever as it is, my mans made a CATTLE PROD. IN A CAVE. OUT OF SCRAPS. (ok, in a basement, out of batteries. close enough.)

And again with the compartmentalization- they’re not human, they’re no longer his students. They’re in the way between the group and survival. He does what he has to do, with less fear than he had when trying to make small talk. He’s even able to joke during the chaos. (I saved your life, nbd, just get me a sandwich and we’re even)

The next time he says ‘come here’, though, they do. And again, he’s trying, he’s confident that if he can just get his hands on some infected nuggets, he can keep being useful, he can help fix things. He’s still worth keeping around. He tries to lighten the mood, too- the mask, the pun. It’s just the wrong timing, and he knows he messed it up again.

But he’s trying.

Mega drones X Sigma! It was difficult to put him in the Murder drones style but I'm proud of the final result. I want for a combo of his X2 & X3 desgins for this version of him since those seemed like the most murder drones-y out of his versions.

Backstory below. Spoilers for both mega man x and murder drones if you care.

Sigma was built by Tessa off of a discarded Military drone sometime after Cyn destroyed earth. He was given the mission to wipe out the infection on Copper 9.

however soon into his work a Pod containing a Strange Red Military Drone landed on Copper 9. The drone was called 0 and contained a mutated more powerful form of the absolute solver program.

Sigma fought 0 and eventually won but at the cost of his life. Soon after he awoke under the control of the Absolute Solver, and with two major cracks in his face glowing hot red from the battle. Sigma was slowly completely consumed by the Solver causing organic claws and bug like legs to grow on his body.

Sigma under orders from the Absolute Solver used his abilities to mutated and transform 8 animals into terrifying monsters to hunt Down worker drones and kill them so the infection could spread further.

Thats Sigma, I changed his backstory to having actually died in the battle with Zero as that fits better with the lore. Anyway hope you enjoyed, have good day!

my MC: recently reclassed entirely to paladin/bard and it’s been very convenient for charisma and such but I’m still figuring out how to use him best because he was a land Druid before lol. Anyway generally front lines with healing and support utility and is a lot less squishy than he used to be which is cool because the bitch was always dying fr. I imagine him being the most awkward person alive because he went from peace loving friend of the animals hippie to intense oath of vengeance paladin / shits and giggles bard which is a weird combo in the first place so I would imagine he’s like constantly uncomfortable and just wants to be talking to birds

Astarion: because I’m obsessed with him and I’m multiclassing rogue/ranger/fighter so he can give me that crazy first move advantage and also pick locks for me. And because I’m obsessed with him

Karlach: i love Karlach. I also like lae’zel but if it’s between her and Karlach it’s gotta be K. Did you notice she has a teddy bear and his name is Clive. Anyway w/ frenzy rage extra attacks she deals insane damage and tends to be the one doing most of the work here. When I realized grym took x2 bludgeoning damage and gave Karlach a flail she took that guy out in like 2 turns and it is so funny to me just imagining her going up to this terrifying giant robot and whacking it with a stick until it crumbles to dust. I love Karlach

Shadowheart: changed her subclass thing to Life and she is kind of my only source of healing, I can’t quit her… kind of need her if the priority is to Not Die

But sometimes I have to switch out astarion for someone else for example in the fight against the drider he casts sanctuary on the first turn so astarion was basically useless… in that case I’ll switch him for either Wyll (great utility with Hold Person) or Gale (evocation sorcerer = no friendly fire). But I try to avoid this due to loving my boy😻

An F2P clear, which is always a ton of fun.  This is a lie, I decided to do this before looking at the spread, why did I decide to do this on Electric-weak Aaron?

Vs. Lucian Did you know this clown has Wise Entry x2, and still cannot stop Shauntal?  Wild.  Okay sure, this is because of Agatha's sleep stagger, but listen to me.  That only works so well.  CS pivots to X items and is a nightmare to deal with, it's easy to drop that combo or not deal enough damage to clear with the extra two actions you gain.  Shauntal had no issue.  Absolutely blasted this clown.  So of course the compensation was Morty took 12 attempts to proc MPR one time.  It's a 30%, dude.

Vs. Flint Man, Rain Cyrus is still obscene as an F2P comp.  He one-shot the sides.  HE ONE-SHOT THE SIDES.  Like, come on!  I know this is after a Support EX, but COME ON!  Absolutely obscene.  Winona being able to flinch is also a huge boon.  One flinch gets what you need.  The second is just dunking on the sides.

Vs. Aaron Yeah no.  I didn't get Lodge Volkner (and wouldn't invest in him anyway), and won't EX base Hau, so this fight is as good as impossible on an F2P exclusive budget.  Stall strats it is.  Thankfully, we have Morty to carry us with his Confuse.  I don't think the sides landed a single attack after center went down.  It's a slow grind, but honestly Aaron being so single-target centric, we had little issue.  If I hadn't been flinched and had to pivot quickly to Potion to maintain the queue, mistapping on Nidoqueen instead of Morty himself, we might not have lost anyone.  Granted, this is with boosted passive damage parameters, but it counts.

Vs. Bertha Gardenia, I love you, but you are really bad, girl.  I feel like she's going to pivot instantly to a sync nuker when her EX drops.  Thankfully, she is salvageable, thanks to Dana.  Blaine too.  Dana's lack of EX oddly worked to her favor, as Blaine can sync first to reset Sun without issue.  Use SEUN on the first Leaf Storm post-sync to one-shot the left, two-shot the right for a second denial, then SEUN on Leaf Storm right away because we're on pure offense parameters and Dana will not be with us long so get it while you can.  I'd avoid using it on sync.  80% crit rate works 30% of the time.

Vs. Cynthia Get Valerie'd, idiot.  I recognize that I am using sleep chaining, call it what you must, but Valerie did shit-stomp this fight.  Her sync is obscene.  The bigger problem is gauge, and Leaf being a little on the frailer side overall.  But, it works.  And it involves Valerie, so we take those.

and in this case since cacturne is grass/dark either combusken (fire/fighting) or beautifly (bug/flying) would equally do x4 damage to it with any super effective moves like silver wind, fire spin, combuskens one fighting move that i forgot, etc.

skitty would be useless against banette with doubleslap but blizzard would have an added bonus of also being x2 effective against cacturne. assist would prove unreliable and since shes fighting against the guy who just tricked her into almost losing with assist i could see why shed be hesitant to use it.

bulbasaur i also understand but i think she should've chose combusken instead. cacturnes grass moves wouldnt hit as hard but at the same time so far bulbasaur hasnt really used any poison type moves which renders her poison typing basically null

im sure may will end up combining silver wind and petal dance somehow but i think a silver wind and fire spin combo would rock just as hard. though in may's defense she has a cuter contest style so the petal dance/silver wind combo is more her style anyways

Easy Pork Ragu (HelloFresh)

Hey everyone, recently ordered a HelloFresh package bcos they gave me a promo discount! WOOOHOOOO!!!

As you know, I tried out this food grocery/delivery service last yr in Sept (bcos 1st time customers get a discount!) & my thoughts on it was. .. unless I get a discount of at least 50%, it is simply not worth it for me bcos it doesn’t suit my lifestyle needs in terms of meals/cooking. So after that one time purchase of 3 meals x4 ppl (12 servings total), I unsubscribed from the service. Around Christmas time, they mailed me a coupon, where I get 2 50% off promos if I resubscribe again, so now I have re-subscribed & I used my 1st 50% promo on this package:

I ordered 4 meals for 2 ppl this time (total 8 servings).

I will be posting each meal in separate posts so pls come back again if you’d like to read about them!

The 1st one is the Easy Pork Ragu.

The ingredients. It’s less overwhelming bcos it’s for 2 servings. Last time when I ordered, it was for 4 servings so everything was like ‘double’ haha they do have a 3-serving portion. I’m curious as to how that works bcos these packages are all pre-packaged for 2 servings (they give x2 for 4 servings) but 3 is in between... so. . I’m interested :P maybe for the next 50% off, I’ll order for 3 servings.

Anyway, let’s begin~

I had a pasta from my last order & was satisfied with the portion - I packed some for lunch meals bcos my family & I would NEVER just eat this 1 pasta for our meal haha so. .. essentially, the 4 servings was more like. .. 5.5-6 ‘meals’, you know what I mean? So I planned to do the same with this pasta - streeeeetch it out!

PS: as aforementioned, I always start with the pasta first! I get it cooking while I prep the ingredients bcos . .. that’s the most efficient.

*while pasta is cooking* .. I chopped the carrots & coarse-chopped the spinach.

The carrot they gave me was of very poor quality. I should have taken an individual shot of the carrot... it was old & wrinkly & one side was like bruised(?). I was only able to use about 66% of the carrot =/

I did not face this issue last time. Well, I didn’t have carrot in my packages last time; however, everything was fresh & nice. Disappointed by the carrot this time around

In a pan, added oil, onion, carrot & the lean ground pork, with the Italian seasoning.

Cooked on medium heat for roughly 5mins.

Added my al dente pasta in

Then the crushed tomato ‘pasta’ (it was basically a boxed pasta sauce), parmesan, chicken broth, & garlic salt . . . lastly the spinach.

What do you think? Does it look like the picture? :P

Portion-ing: I ate this at home lol this amount is slightly more than my usual work lunch quantity. I used my normal work lunch container to hold my lunch portion. .. & I still had a little bit left. So yeah. .. solid 2-portion IMHO if you don’t have anything else to eat on the table! Otherwise, comfortably 3 meals if you have something else to eat as well. Once again, for my personal dieting habit. .. 4 servings can be stretched to roughly 6, & 2 servings can be stretched to 3 for pastas.

Flavour: it was good! Literally tasted the same as the previous pasta I got from HelloFresh lol it’s just a diff combo of ingredients. .. bcos the garlic salt, parmesan, & the Italian seasoning are the same! I had mushrooms + beef last time, vs this time with pork + carrot instead.

9/10! (minus 1 for the ugly carrot)

The price!

For the 4 meals for 2 ppl (ie 8 servings), the regular price is $95 + 9.99 shipping. I had 50% off.. but still had to pay for shipping for my total was $57.49. Divided by 8 .. $7.19 per ‘meal’ but like I told you. .. I stretch it out & don’t go strictly by the 2 servings. Therefore, I should really be dividing the total by 12 - ie: $4.80/serving is more accurate (for me!).

I finally finished watching a persona 5 lp (aprpox 180 hours, but watched at x2 speed) the other day, and i bought strikers. I’m about 9hrs in and i havent gotten to alice yet.

I’m not good at video games (mostly visual novel and pokemon) so i’m still getting used to how to play and all the button combos.

anyway, since i got it i told myself i wouldn’t get royal until later this year so i forget what happens in the base game, and persona 4 until i’m done with strikers. but i’m at target right now and they have a physical copy of royal for $30 and I’m tempted orz
