Omega Squad Headcanons

A/N: I'm still not convinced I'm great at HCs lol. But here are my inner thoughts for the Omega boys. I miss them always. And love them with my entire heart and soul!

Warnings: 18+ Always. Minors DNI; Some Fluff, some smut. A little mixture.

Niner bought a ring right after your first date. He was in love and prepared to settle down right then and there. 

Atin and Fi gave him so much shit for months. 

When Niner proposed, you obviously said yes. But you also knew because Fi is TERRIBLE at keeping secrets. 

Niner is a “my wife” kind of guy. Talks about you ALL the time. Never shuts up about you. 

(@rebelsriley says: Knows nothing about sex. Doesn’t care. Eager to learn.) 

You take the lead a lot. The first time he saw you fully naked, he nearly cried because he thought you were a literal angel.

Fi, though… He didn’t think he’d ever get to settle down. Honestly, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to settle down until he met you. 

Your ability to crack jokes and keep up with his humor nearly brought him to his knees.

Darman still teases Fi that you’re funnier. 

The first time you ever made him laugh, all three of his brothers kept giving him knowing smirks but he tried his best to ignore them. 

One night, the two of you were sitting on the edge of a building, overlooking Coruscant, one of Fi’s favorite views, only second to you, you were teasing each other and the way you looked at him, gave him courage to finally kiss you. 

“Atin and Darman have a running bet that you wouldn’t ever get the courage to do that.” You look up at him, amused.

“I hope you bet on my side.” He acts scandalized. 

You chuckle and hop up. “I always bet on the winning side.” 

He smirks to himself for a minute and then glances after you. “That means you bet on me, right?” 

You bite your lip with a chuckle as Fi gets up to follow you.

“...Right?” He asks again and you burst into a fit of giggles.  

You and Atin argue a lot. Not in a toxic way. But in a both stubborn kind of way. Atin does mean stubborn in Mando’a, afterall. 

The first time you fuck, it’s in a back alley because he dragged you back there to argue away from the group. 

But you ended up kissing him and he pushed you up against the wall and then deepened the kiss and made you get yourself worked up, grinding on his thigh. 

When he kissed you back, you laughed and said “I knew it.” to which he responded “Shut up. No you did not.” And then fucked you. 

Darman was intimidated by you when he first met you. 

You argued with Atin on his behalf one time and he saw stars in his eyes.

While he can definitely hold his own, he was touched that you came to his defense.

When you finally told him how you felt, he felt like his brain was short circuiting.

“Are… are you sure?” He tilts his head.

“Yes, I’m sure.” You smile at him and his entire body goes warm and fuzzy. “Do… you like me?” 

“I do. Very much.”

A/N: Thank you for your request! I hope this is close to what you wanted.

You enjoy spending time with your old friends from college.

You do.

Somehow you’ve managed to keep your friendship with them through college and then continued afterward when you all became actual adults.

But sometimes, just sometimes, you feel like maybe they’re not as good friends to you as you like to think.

Like now. When they’re making plans and are kind of…forcing the plans on you. You don’t have the time to go on this trip with them to Naboo, you have way too much work to do, plus you know your friends, and you know that their plans likely involve you taking care of their kids while they go drinking.

But every time you open your mouth to say something, you get talked over.

You’re beginning to think that they think that if they just don’t let you talk, then you’ll have to come on the trip with them.

Panicked, you turn your gaze to Atin, who’s leaning against the counter listening to the conversation with a scowl on his face that’s slowly becoming more and more severe. He catches the look on your face, and he straightens, and sets his styrofoam cup on the counter.

“You realize that she can’t go, right?” He interrupts the conversation.

Your friends turn to look at him, “What, you’re not going to let her?” The ringleader of the group demands snottily.

Atin picks his cup back up and takes a sip of his caf, looking bored out of his mind, “No. But because I actually listen when she talks, I know that she has a massive meeting taking place over the week that you’re planning for your trip. Which means she’s not going to be able to watch your…precious angels,” there’s something odd in his voice when he says that, “When you go to the spring festival on Naboo.”

“That’s not fair!” Your friends turn accusing glares on you, “Why didn’t you say anything?”

“I tried, you kept talking over me-”

You might as well be talking to a brick wall for all the impact your words have.

“You’re content spending the spring here?” Your oldest friend asks, oldest in the sense that she’s nearly 20 years older than the rest of the women in the room, “With him?”

You tilt your head and your gaze drifts to Atin, his expression is carefully blank. It’s a familiar look. One that he adopts whenever people make comments about him.

And people do make comments about him.

You silently push your chair back and get to your feet, “Atin? Are you ready to go?”

His gaze lands on your face, and a small smile lifts his lips, “After you, cyare.”

You wait for him to walk over to you, and then the pair of you leave the apartment. Atin leads you down the stairs and as soon as you’re outside properly, he takes your hand in his, “You didn’t have to do that, cyar’ika.” He says lightly as he brings your hand to his lips and presses a kiss to your knuckles.

“Her tone bothered you.” You reply, “And me.”

“I’m used to it.”

You frown at him, “That doesn’t make it better, Atin.” You bump his shoulder, “Thanks. For speaking up for me.”

“Yeah, well…it was obvious that you weren’t going to do it.” He releases your hand and drapes his arm over your shoulder, “You need better friends.”

“I have better friends. I have you.”

“Oh? Is all we are? Friends?” He grins at you, “Cause I definitely don’t kiss my friends the way that I kiss you.”

You roll your eyes, “You’re my best friend and the love of my life. There, better?”

“Mm, much.” He lightly tugs you to the side, and bumps his forehead against yours, “I hope you know that you’re my best friend and the love of my life too.”

“Well, it’s not like you’ve ever been shy about that.” You tease lightly.

“Yeah, well…my brothers deserve to have you shoved in their faces.”

You giggle, “I’m sure that they don’t.”

He just grins and plucks a recently bloomed flower from where it’s coiled around a fence, and tucks it behind your ear, “There, a flower almost as pretty as you.”

You duck your head shyly, “Thank you.”

Atin’s grin grows, and he lightly taps your chin to lift your head, before he leans in and brushes his lips against yours once, twice. And then he catches your lips in a proper kiss.

And, really, how can you do anything other than lose yourself in him.

Star Wars: Republic Commando: Hard Contact, Chapter 2

I'm going to add any of these...I'm not sure what these extracts at the beginning of the chapters are properly called, but I'll add them whenever they're interesting.

Zey's comment about the clones reminds me of the line from Andor. "We're cheaper than droids, and easier to replace." The difference here is that while clones are more expensive and harder to replace than droids, they're superior.

And yes, Master Zey, it did change them in unexpected ways.

"It didn't feel so bad to be revived after stasis. He was still a commando. They hadn't reconditioned. That meant -- that meant he'd performed to expected standards at Geonosis. He'd done well. He felt positive."

The implication that "under-performing" clones are brainwashed, at best, is one of the Traviss's additions that I genuinely like, emphasizing the cold detachment of the Kaminoans before they become prominent in the series. It's also just a terrifying idea.

"Darman was careful not to stare -- even though any eye movement was disguised by his helmet -- because Jedi knew things without having to see. His instructors had told him so. Jedi were omniscient, omnipotent, and to be obeyed at all times."

And here we see the official beginning of the Jedi-Bashing count. It's subtler here, but it keeps popping up in ways that are unmistakable in the context of the series' attitude toward the Jedi Order. In multiple cases, such as this one, lines that wouldn't make me bat an eye in a different book, (or more accurately, a different author), but make me grit my teeth here.

The way this specific paragraph is written is very similar to how I'd write a passage from the POV of a character who thinks the antagonist is a good person, or is brainwashed, but I want to make it clear what's really going on. Only in this case, it isn't portraying, say, a Sith cult, but the Jedi Order, which is devoted to helping others, enforcing justice, and studying the Force.

"'This is your unit of four, then? A squad?' He seemed to be recalling a hurried lesson. 'Almost like a family?'"

This might be a stretch, but I'm not cutting this series an iota of slack when it comes to the Jedi Order. The implication here seems to be "Oh look, the Jedi have no idea what a family is! It's so unnatural and wrong, not like the good, wholesome Mandalorians!" Am I being petty? Maybe. Does Kal Skirata ranting about baby-stealers get really fucking old really fucking fast? Definitely.

Jedi-Bashing: 2

"'My squad called me Atin," the wounded commando said.

Niner glanced at Fi but said nothing. Atin was Mandalorian for 'stubborn.'"

Okay, this bit is just funny.

“My brothers say that our relationship doesn’t make sense,”

You start and drop your bag on the ground as you hear Atin’s unexpected voice from behind you. You spin on your heels and beam at Atin, “You’re back!”

“I’m back.” Atin agrees, holding his arms open for you as you fling yourself into his arms. He catches you and holds you in a tight hug, and he presses a light kiss to the top of your head as you press yourself as close to him as you can.

Eventually you pull away and look up into his eyes, your delighted smile never once fading, “I wasn’t expecting you for at least a couple of weeks!” And then you blink at him, his original comment finally registering, “What do you mean we don’t make sense?” 

Atin chuckles, and tugs on the jacket you’re wearing. It’s covered in storm clouds and suns, since you were teaching your students about the weather today. “They say that you’re super fun and interesting, and I’m not either. So I must be blackmailing you.”

Your jaw drops, “That’s so mean!”

“Well, that’s family for you.”

“Besides, I asked you out, not the other way around!” You continue, offended on his behalf.

“Yeah, they don’t know that.” Atin replies easily, “I didn’t tell them that.”

You squint at him, “What did you tell them?”

“Nothing. They saw us on a date and then decided to snoop on both of us.” He sighs, “Anyway, they want to meet you.”

“They do? I thought they didn’t approve?”

“They don’t approve of me dating you. They like you.”

“What? That’s awful!”

“Oh, cyare.” He cups your face with his hands, a grin on his handsome face, “You’re far too soft hearted.” Atin teases as he squishes your cheeks together.

“I teach kindergarten, I’m allowed!” You reply.

Atin laughs quietly, “You are allowed. I cherish how softhearted you are. Because you’re just as soft with me.” He leans in to lightly bump his forehead against yours. And you smile and close your eyes as you lean into his touch.

The pair of you are quiet for a moment, just enjoying each other's company after being separated for as long as you have been, and then Atin gently strokes your cheek, “Did you have a good day, cyare?”

“I did. We learned about the weather today.” You say quietly, “My kids are so adorable.” You add with a fond little smile.

“Hm…adorable enough to want your own?” Atin asks, his voice just as soft as yours.

“Mm…maybe, someday.” You open your eyes to look into his, “Are you offering?” Your voice is light and warm, teasing but not judgemental.

“Maybe, someday.” He repeats your words to you, and then tilts your head back so he’s able to catch your lips in a gentle kiss. A gentle kiss that becomes much, much more passionate as he pulls you closer.

When he breaks the kiss, your lips are parted and you’re watching him through half-lidded eyes.

Atin’s thumb traces over your bottom lip, and his gaze remains locked on your lips. Your tongue lightly brushes against his thumb, and a groan rumbles from his throat. He leans in for another kiss, and you meet him halfway.

With you two, one kiss is never enough. Neither is two or three. When you’re together, you can’t seem to keep your hands or your lips off each other.

You break the kiss this time, and Atin chases your lips, causing you to giggle, “We should-,” You’re cut off when his lips succeed in catching your own in a deep kiss.

“We-” It happens again.

“We need to-” And again.

“Can’t stay here,” You finally manage to get out, as his lips hover over yours.

“Just one more,” Atin pleads, as his breath fans across your face, “Just one more kiss, and then we can leave.”

“Okay,” You whisper, “Just one more.”

Atin’s lips crash against yours, his hand coming up to cradle the back of your head as he holds you flush against him.

And when that kiss turns into another one, and another…well, you’re not surprised.
