okay do we get that the point of langdon saying robby was talking to cartoon animals isn't that it was mean (people say mean things in fights, and we've seen him be mean all day so it's not ooc), or that he's lashing out and trying to distract from his own issues by shining a light on someone else's to preserve his status quo (normal addict behavior), but that it's an attempt to weaponize robby's completely understandable mental health issues (which do not interfere with his ability to practice medicine or lead a team and actually make him a better attending because his PTSD and experience with the associated emotional triggers make him more sensitive to giving his team breaks when they, too, are overwhelmed/triggered/Goin' Thru It) to delegitimize him before he files a report on langdon? if robby is Crazy, if robby is Unreliable, if Everyone Knows He Can't Hack It, him saying "langdon stole drugs from patients" will be questioned in ways it wouldn't be based on his actual reputation and behavior. furthermore, if he thinks his team doesn't trust him because of his PTSD, that's going to fuck with him as a leader, and we've seen him be a good leader all day in no small part by being attuned to and empathetic with his team. the consequences of that are bigger than just hurting robby's feelings in a fight, and the dramatic ripples have the potential to be fucking huge. that's the point of that scene, of that writing choice. we get that, right?????

not enough discussion about the gavins' complicated relationship with feminine-coded/beauty products, i don't think.

#— ai rambles #sorry guys i’m still stuck here but i think these additions and that thread shed so much light on the deeper meaning behind gege’s latest #sketch of satoru’s genpuku ceremony that i just had to share it here with you all #im spiraling so bad bc the distinction between genpuku and seijin no hi is so important even though gege put that ? there #like hes just a guy 😭 but like him choosing the former rly speaks volumes about the tone and weight of that moment #to me it looks like seijin no hi is like more personal and celebratory while genpuku is a public and duty bound ritual #it’s not just about becoming and adult it’s sort of a contract and stepping into service taking on responsibilities and pledging loyalty to #the clan 🥲#so for satoru this moment wasn’t symbolic it was binding #now his short hair makes so much more sense bc it wasn’t just a style choice #it was part of a rigid formal performance of identity expected from the heir of one of the big three clans #the name change thing is mind blowing to me like WHAT DO U MEAN #did satoru have another name before that? bc that’s just so sad 🥲#if satoru is the name he took on at genpuku then it’s not just a name but a role and that just makes him all the more tragic #like he’s long buried that younger self in service of the one who could carry the weight of being the strongest 🥲#also i think the clans have their own private education systems like satoru didn’t need to attend jujutsu tech but he CHOSE to #that in itself is a subtle act of rebellion and so the genpuku basically is the clans last attempt at control to symbolically tether him #back to his roots and the irony is so heartbreaking bc by accepting the genpuku satoru traded lifelong obligation for the freedom to attend #school outside of clan jurisdiction it’s literally tragedy hidden in plain sight that satoru’s autonomy always came at a cost #that part with kento shot me dead bc once again this sketch of gege isn’t just for nothing #ofc there’s something deeper in it 😭#GEGE WHEN I CATCH YEOOWWW #[ ♡ ] — satoru

Phantom Fever

When Danny left Amity he was pretty sure it would be a quick trip. He wasn't expecting a few days' visit to Gotham to check some annoying "co-workers" of Vlad's, a gala and a serious case of fever.

Being fair, Danny didn't know that ghosts could get sick, or how much damage this could do. His powers went completely haywire, activating and deactivating in the middle of the street, and it was only thanks to Vlad that he was able to come up with an excuse or two.

Vlad obviously didn't expect him to get sick either, if his disgusted face was anything to go by. The two had a truce of sorts but it was obvious they were only on friendly terms thanks to Jack Fenton.

Danny didn't feel like locking himself in a room and drinking soup. He wanted to call Frostbite, but he was too far away from the Realms, and the halfa refused to let Vlad check on him.

So he ended up on the streets of Gotham, spreading early winter and ice stalagmites in his wake. It was just luck that Vlad found him before the bats, who were obviously interested in the new development. Danny wondered how he was supposed to attend the gala in those conditions.

I'M FREEEEEEE

Yesterday was my last day in the emergency department for this academic year, and of course it was also the absolute fucking worse out of the entire two months of emergency medicine that I've done so far in residency. I didn't get so much as a ten minute break to eat the whole fucking day, I stayed nearly two hours after the end of my shift writing notes and playing phone tag with a bunch of specialists until my attending fucking left, and my attending kept telling me to go see new patients when I was already super behind on figuring out wtf I was doing for the ones that I had. One of my sign-outs literally ended up being, "As for plan, uh...sorry, I didn't even staff this one. I put in a CBC, CMP, and UA and then they called a code and I went to go do that. Sorry." and fucking bless the next attending coming on because he was so chill about it. I think he could see the stress in my eyes, lmaoooo.

On the bright side, I did get to successfully intubate a guy! This is an improvement on the first time I tried to intubate someone, which was a few days ago on a high risk patient who coded in the middle of it.

Anyway, saw my clinic patients today, and now it's time for my first two-day weekend in literally two fucking months. Happy November!

Featuring, the creature! This will for now be my Tech Au! (Coming up with names as we speak this won't stick in my head BUT ITLL DO FOR NOW!)

He doesn't have a name just yet as my brain has been to focused on lore and story to even make a name for him BUT here's the basics~

This is Prototype 1. In this Au the actual Sun and Moon daycare attendants are in separate bodys as this guy right here was the failed experiment of 2 Ai's in one body. This failed as the two Ai's weren't able to stay separated, merging into one,new, very much different and new personality. Molded through trauma and the interest of the outside world beyond the matinence tunnels, it became defiant and wouldn't put up with any more "childpoofing tests". Thrown down into the basment with the endos it escaped and, in a very broken and torn apart state, it pulled itself up into the construction zone that was the daycare and made a home in the ceiling of the balcony off room. Then shortly after making it up there passed out into dormancy.

Assumed to be destroyed and gone, Sun and Moon were created and put into operation. The daycare has been open for years by now, and lots have happened. He's woken up broken but with a new world around him to learn about and maybe, just maybe, get some closure and take care of those who hurt him in his creation and of course make a few friends along the way.

I'm so excited about this. au yall don't even know. Asks about it are absolutely open and I'll have a proper colored ref of him soon!! Name ideas are absolutely appreciated! He's gonna be VERY galaxy vibes hopefully. His pants are grey sweatpants he found in lost and found with patches of old Sun&Moon clothes to patch it up when his vent crawling habits tear it open. Also, lots to say about that tail ehehehe
