Phantom Fever

When Danny left Amity he was pretty sure it would be a quick trip. He wasn't expecting a few days' visit to Gotham to check some annoying "co-workers" of Vlad's, a gala and a serious case of fever.

Being fair, Danny didn't know that ghosts could get sick, or how much damage this could do. His powers went completely haywire, activating and deactivating in the middle of the street, and it was only thanks to Vlad that he was able to come up with an excuse or two.

Vlad obviously didn't expect him to get sick either, if his disgusted face was anything to go by. The two had a truce of sorts but it was obvious they were only on friendly terms thanks to Jack Fenton.

Danny didn't feel like locking himself in a room and drinking soup. He wanted to call Frostbite, but he was too far away from the Realms, and the halfa refused to let Vlad check on him.

So he ended up on the streets of Gotham, spreading early winter and ice stalagmites in his wake. It was just luck that Vlad found him before the bats, who were obviously interested in the new development. Danny wondered how he was supposed to attend the gala in those conditions.

Babysitting duty calls, Klarion

It another world threatening battle for the justice league, young justice against the league of Villains and chaos children before most of the chaos children froze as if they sense something bad was approaching and immediately dipped out.. except klarion whom was fighting with raven who immediately froze up too late in front of the portal.

Only for a green portal to appear, as a worned out floating glowing green, but blue skinned teenage boy who turn into a man with red eyes, a clock staff in hand and a glowing white hair baby in a baby carrier.

Klarion is literally struggling like a feral cat who got wet in cold water against some invisible force speaking in some odd static like language before giving up after half a minute when the man spoke back with a short word.

The man now just shape-shifting into turn elderly just gave klarion the baby carrier before noticing how the heroes and villains have stop in mid battles looking at both klarion and him.

"All in soon time, but be warn Flashes whom break the laws of times will get their due if you keep messing with the past and future." Spoken the elderly now shape-shifted into a young boy before he turn back to klarion leaving him a note and glowing baby bag before floating back into the swirling green portal.

Klarion could only look at note with his eye twitching, Teekl meowing as she climb into the baby carrier purring around the glowing baby.

"Why do I keep getting babysitting duty, it so unfa-..." klarion grumbled as he pick up the baby carrier and bag teleporting away..

"What just happened?" Said Dick whom only one question would be put on hold til later in the watchtower of what just happen before the fight resuming with the young and original justice league winning since the league of Villains were distracted.

it's only when they knock alejandro out that soap shoots; when they spill the first blood and cross a line they can never come back from

only when ghost orders him to run and he has to cover his retreat

and somewhere along the line, between civilians’ screams and taunting voices, between his shaking breath and ghost steady in his ear, that naivety is stripped away; his trust turned to teeth that he uses to sink into throats of men he'd have given his life for

Consider a multiverse fic in which canon! Q and Bond find themselves in our universe.  I normally don’t like this trope because it almost always ends up feeling too gimmicky, but James Bond is such a cultural institution with an equal amount of cultural baggage that you can just about pull it off I think.  And the angst potential is exquisite.

Above and beyond the getting yanked bit, they can tell something is wrong in this new place the moment Bond uses his classic intro—”the name is Bond, James Bond”—and gets a hearty chuckle and a ‘good impression daniel craig lookalike’ in return.

(Bond could actually sense it a little earlier when Q saw him and pulled him into a bruising hug as if he’d seen a ghost. ‘What year is it for you?’ Q asked and looked puzzled for the briefest moment when Bond said 2019 though he quickly replied it was the same for him too and he had no idea where this 3 year gap came from, where in this new place it’s 2022.)

And this new place is full of ghosts—Eva Green looks exactly like Vesper, Judi Dench exactly like M and DCraig and Ben Whishaw, all of them actors, exactly like the two of them and so on.

Still, when they get DVDs of the films, they expect them to be wildly inaccurate—isn’t that always the case with movies based on ‘real stories’?—even though they hope they might contain some clue as to how the hell they get back home.  

Except they start CR and according to Bond, every single detail spot on from the make of the car he drove to what he wore—

I just think you can do so much with taking someone as private and cagey as Bond and turning his life (his grief) into mass entertainment, you know, and how dehumanising and bewildering it must be for them both to find out your life is a story as far as a whole universe is concerned with narrative choices and plot points, and them finding out that Bond is this symbol of ultimate masculinity to so many men.  

And it would also offer this intrusive but super interesting window into the bits of each other’s lives they were never a part of (Q suggesting they don’t have to watch CR when he realises what’s going on and what’s coming or at least that he doesn’t have to be there only for Bond to make it a point of pride and doom them both) and it would also be a tale of grief—not only for people Bond lost along the way but for Q too; Q who very much so is from 2022.

I just think of them reading the commentary from the cast and producers around NTTD alone, that the best ending for Bond was for him to die for the people he loves the most, that Madeleine was the love of his life etc. and I break my own heart, man.

The concept of esmp s2 Joel almost dying in battle with an old familiar face.

While he fights for his life, the other emperors are none the wiser. It's only until the fountain in Critter City starts desperately spitting out wine, turning the water a deep crimson, that Lizzie realises something is off.

And It's only until Scott of Chromia hears a rumble and when looking up he sees the Eye of Stratos tumble out of the sky, distroying a gigantic part of Lower Stratos and taking many citizen down with it, that he realises something is deeply wrong.

And when the stalactites fall from the cave ceiling in Gobland and Head of Gobland hastily escorts his companions outside, that he notices the dust rising up from the neighboring kingdom.

There's no one in Sanctuary. Except for Joel. The protector of this place has long been banished from the realm, and only a shadow of him remains.

Joel watched as the shadow dissapears, axe abandoned deeply inside the (former) God's chest.

Perhaps, with the last power he had, he'd crawl towards the ocean. Maybe he'd stare into the deep blue and smile has he realises he might finally go home.

The emperors would be none the wiser, because when they evantually got there, there was no God to be found.

Insanely funny to me how everyone who works at Princeton Plainsboro acts like House has held them at gun point at made them do the awful things they do. Like sure, he's pushed them towards being worse, he definitely brings out the worst in people, but they do have the option of saying no. Half the time, all he can really do is be more of an asshole. None of them want to admit that he just gives them an excuse to be awful, because then they'd just be admitting that all of them suck.
