Mini-review:

9 Border doesn't break any new ground, but it goes through the usual tropes and clichés with flair and cleverness. The main character is very relatable, and the show has quite a few interesting conversations and ideas about aging, expectations and life as a whole. The romance storylines are mostly solid too, especially the one focused on the central couple, which is very sweet. I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the way it handles other topics, like cheating or child abandonment, but at least it doesn't devote much time to them. So yeah, not the best drama ever, but it's fun enough and leaves you with a pretty important message.

Haru Okumura

Aya (Pidgeot, female): Caught as a Pidgey as a child. Evolved into Pidgeotto around the time she met Sugimura (around the start of her third year at Shujin) and into Pidgeot while the Phantom Thieves were dealing with Kaneshiro.

Hylia (Gardevoir, female): Found as a Ralts shortly after Kamoshida confessed. Evolved into Kirlia when the Phantom Thieves were dealing with Kaneshiro and into Gardevoir shortly after her proper awakening.

Idunn (Hydreigon, female): Caught as a Deino during her second year at Shujin. Evolved into Zweilous while the Phantom Thieves were dealing with Madarame and into Hydreigon shortly after Goro joined the Phantom Thieves.

Scarlet (Salazzle, female): Caught as a Salandit while the Phantom Thieves were dealing with Futaba and Medjed. Evolved just before Sae’s change of heart.

haru x ryuji head canons? rarepair!!

The two of them are the toughest softies in the world. So people aren’t really sure whether they should fear them or if they’re just normal people.

Ryuji literally has no true idea about gardening when Haru brings it up the first few times, but after spending time with her for a while, he sort of learns the basics.

Haru goes with him to work out a lot, surprisingly she puts more effort in than Akira and is hella strong. Ryuji is so proud of her for being able to handle it so well.

Ryuji goes to buy fresh stuff with Haru as much as he can, and he’s not always eating fucking ramen.

Haru actually likes eating big bowls of ramen by herself and Ryuji is surprised that she can really eat all of it by herself. He’s so fucking proud of his girlfriend (x2)
