One thing I’ve realized about myself over these eight years of being single and dating is that when my gut starts to churn and my whole torso and head vibrate with a particular grinding anxious energy every time I’m around someone, I talk myself out of my own knowing. I have repeatedly told myself that what I’m feeling is fear and I need to get over my fear and give people a chance. Tell myself that more will be revealed. Let someone desiring me be reason enough to keep trying.  This past summer after nearly two years of not interacting with any men, I did it again. A few months of spending weekends together where I was able to voice my lack of attraction and we shifted into friend mode culminated in a trip together that ended with a very dramatic emotional explosion (his) and we never spoke again (blessedly).  As I’m thinking about the possibility of spending time with someone I like very much, I am reminding myself that my body knows the score. That it’s not fear when my I’m filled with anxious energy head-to-toe. That’s my gut telling me that whatever this is, is not for me and it’s my job to say no thank you and walk away.  All this to say that I now understand this gut feeling is about needing to feel safe in every way with a person. We all need and deserve that. Safety might look different for each of us, but that vibe generator in the belly knows. I’m excited to approach new situations with this hard-won understanding. A little afraid, too, but that’s something else entirely.  This has been a gut check.

Eventually LAD: Gaiden is just a game that didn't even come out and has a very high price, not to mention that taxes double the price. I hate to admit it but sometimes it's really hard to live in Latin America. It made me think that my country, Argentina, is a place with people so stupid that they vote for presidents who steal in your face. A simple game can't turn out like that. And no, I am not angry just because of that, but because even though we are rich in oil, there are times when there is simply no more oil or there is a terrible devaluation. Or sometimes you just have to buy an exact amount of things because otherwise they are completely out of the markets, it's amazing. It is unbelievable that there are people who work their asses off every day and barely make ends meet. And these unconscious politicians are the ones who steal from the working people, it's just disgusting. But when you look outside of this beautiful country, you feel that nothing is happening, that all the problems fade away for some reason. I would like to stay here forever, but sometimes I feel it's too much even for me, I don't know anymore.
