Santino sighed in slight annoyance. He knew John wanted only the best for him, he was just really frustrated from the pain.

“I know,” Santino murmured, “It just hurts.”

Santino was just used to pain. Mainly because of his childhood, what his father had done to him, the punishments. He had to go through all that alone, treating his wounds by himself, since his father wouldn't allow anyone to help him.

John had a bit of trouble falling asleep since he was scared he would accidentally hurt him in his sleep if he moved. So, he kept a safe distance, further away not to hurt him and close enough to still maintain some physical touch.

The next day, Santino was more affectionate. He didn't want John to leave his side, hugging him and being clingy.

“I just want to fetch you breakfast,” John said, placing a kiss on his cheek.

“I don't need breakfast. I just want coffee and you…” Santino flinched at his own sudden movement, “And painkillers,” he added.

“And breakfast. You need energy and a proper meal. Not just coffee.”

Santino sighed dramatically into his neck, stubborn again.

“If you say so.”

Santino allowed himself to be vulnerable with John. He enjoyed being taken care of, it was a feeling he rarely experienced and he wanted to embrace it as much as he could.

John seemed to enjoy taking care of him. Helping him with showering, preparing meals, doing whatever Santino asked for.

He regularly swapped the bandage on Santino's hand, held the ice pack against his ribs to bring down the swelling, soothing him when Santino whimpered in pain.

It went on like this for a few days, with Santino being needy and wanting John's attention, wanting kisses and cuddles. John tried to give him all that while helping him heal in the meantime.

“When will they finally heal?” Santino asked, looking over at his bruised ribs. The swelling wasn't as bad as it used to be, but it still hurt.

“It takes some time. But your hand seems to be in a much better condition,” John pointed out after removing the bandage.

“It does. Still aches when I move my fingers, but at least I can move them,” Santino smiled, relaxing on the couch against John.

“Yeah, that's good. You're recovering quickly.” John examined his hand a little more, just to make sure.

“It's all thanks to you. When I was trying to take care of myself, it didn't really heal that fast and it was more painful,” Santino confessed, his voice quiet. He hated talking about his past, it was too painful even to remember. There was something about John, though: he had this calm and gentle tone in his voice all the time. It was soothing, calming. Something Santino always craved. A partner that would understand him on that emotional level.

“Sometimes everyone needs help. Going through pain alone can be tough, and I want to be there for you.”

At some point in Santino's life, he was convinced he was not capable of being loved. He was too difficult to handle, too needy, just wanting attention and comfort.

Yet there was his bodyguard giving him everything he wanted.

“You were only supposed to be my bodyguard. Then again, you're spending so much time with me,” Santino purred, admiring John's patience with him.

John smiled, lifting Santino's hand to place a gentle kiss over his knuckles.

“I'm happy to spend time with you and help you,” John looked up at him, seeing Santino's flushed face.

“Mio caro,” Santino said, just above a whisper. “What would I do without you?”

John gently hugged him, avoiding his injured side, kissing his cheek before replying, “I didn't mean to make you sad, bello.”

Santino sighed against his neck, feeling how John's hands were wrapped around him, pressed against him.

“I'm not sad… just so glad I have you,” he murmured.

The bodyguard leaned back to kiss him tenderly on his lips, pressing their foreheads together afterwards, staying like that for a few seconds.

“Can we stay like this for a little longer?” Santino asked softly.

“Of course we can.”

“Help me shower later?”

John chuckled gently, there was his demanding lover again.

“Anything you want.”

ANYWAY, let's see... underrated episode huh. i have a couple actually: Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny [S02E13], Mr. Monk and The Other Detective [S04E01], Mr. Monk Stays In Bed [S04E03], Mr. Monk and The Big Game [S05E03], Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion [S05E06], Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend [S06E04] and Mr. Monk and The Magician [S07E15].

Okay, let's dive into it. With Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny there's that scene where he's just finished taking his test (not really lol) and he's locked himself inside Leland's office. it's very short, if you blink it you miss (i just spotted it like,, a couple of days ago during a re-watch) but he's trying to coax Adrian to open the door and he, so very fucking softly, says: "Adrian." before launching into this small, supportive spiel -> his constant support, even in slivers, of Adrian is so freaking beautiful.

With Mr. Monk and The other Detective. it's more funny "guilty hubby energy" than cute. he looks so GUILTY giving the job over to Marty Eels. like, pls. like @s-misaki once said:

In Mr. Monk Stays In Bed. I just liked the little scene of where Leland is Adrian's bedroom... that's it. lol. BUT THIS ALSO REMINDS ME. in Mr. Monk and The Very, Very Old Man - Leland was sitting in Adrian's bed and i'm just like??? ADRIAN?? he's sitting in your bed... gosh, i giggled sm. like sure, he'll probably change the sheets - but there's that hint of him always feeling like Leland is one of his 'safe' people. Physical Touch, closeness, sharing things is tough but it's there!!!

the little football rugby match in Mr. Monk and The Big Game has like,,, quarter of my heart (the rest have been divided lol) - cause?? the?? trust?? teamwork?? is SO NATURALLLL. ahhhhh.

the main thing that blew my mind in Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion was how Leland drove all the way (sure, it was for a case) but i'm just,, he would go anywhere on earth for Adrian, wouldn't he. it's so freaking heart-warming idek (╥_╥)♥️.

Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend,, that ep,, i swear. it was just. it was a good hint of how Leland sometimes DOES get fed up of Adrian and how Adrian always wants the best for Leland. it was equally heart-warming and heart-breaking. the underrated scene there though was how Leland shoved Adrian...

it's a very raw moment where the both of them do not seem to get along at all because they want something good and dont see it right in front of them *cough*... and it's just,, Leland's words there: "I have what you want..."

like gahhh, it's visceral if you come think about it. they never want to hurt each other but sometimes what you want isn't what you get and you have to settle and look for something else to fill in the gaping hole :).

Mr. Monk and The Magician is simply me loving Leland wanting to toss anyone out the window and smash them in the face for even hurting a hair on Adrian or loosing sight of him. What a man, XD.

it always makes me so incredibly happy when people view the characters similarly to me aswell bc like u mentioned they Are kinda prone to getting mischaracterized in some ways...... i think it mainly comes from both natsume and tsumugi having MANY factors to their characters though, and the mischaracterization comes from only highlighting one aspect of them and failing to think about how their different attributes overlap (although this can probably be said for the entire cast tbh). like an easy example that im sure everyone gets by now is natsumes little tsundereisms. if you only focus on him being rude to tsumugi it can look like hes just some edgy guy with anger management issues, but when you take into account other factors such as him having a rather spoiled upbringing both by his parents and nii-sans, and his distaste towards feeling "weak" (also caused by his upbringing, since he was frail as a child and raised as a girl) you start to see that oh. alot of that is just him being defensive and emotionally immature. since he had such a comfortable upbringing those hints of discomfort and vulnerability are threatening to him as someone who always had everything handed to him. and when you dont know how to deal with situations like that ASWELL as being afraid of being seen as "weak" youre Gonna start resorting to harsher words and sometimes even get physical because you have no clue how else to handle this. its also why the natsumes character consists of him being pretty obsessed with "growing up" and "not being a kid anymore," because he knows how immature he could be SKHDGJH he doesnt have bad intentions he just. doesnt know how to be vulnerable with people

What does love mean to them?

🌸 Euphorbia: 

Solidity and warmth, someone to lean on. Safety....even if she (past an, ahem, certain mountain-esque point) doesn't always get that feeling from him, she still loves him. It's all of it to her; gentle, fiery, enduring, painful, sweet and bitter and just...everything.

Basically, even if he's hurt and betrayed her, this fucked up little man is still her everything and while she isn't going to take his bullshit laying down she still cares deeply enough about him to try and wrangle him and understand what is wrong. Like, god, I bet at times out of nowhere during that 10 year gap they're apart she wonders if he ate that day.

✨️ Volo:

 For Volo... Love would be for someone to accept him as he is, not what he appears to be, but to acknowledge his flaws and mistakes, his scars, and still find something worth value. He's a very guarded person and for someone to be able to break away the facade he's built upon for his entire life; that is love. 

It's simple and a bit self indulgent on his part, but that's what we enjoy about him

Love Languages?

🌸 Euphorbia: 

Hmm… hers is probably gifts to a lesser extent than Volo. Even if she can't remember her past where her situation was similar, she is living where her means are not Great so to give something without it being an exchange is a big deal. No one gave you shit for free in water country so to her it's another little show of undiluted affection. i.e. candies and homemade preserves she gives him and the gold nugget she reverse mugs him with. Also, words of affirmation are a close second.

✨️ Volo: 

Volo's love language is gifts naturally. Further adds to the folklore/yokai vibes he's got now too in addition to his occupation, it's just too good not to be his exact love language. Another one though is definitely teasing, friendly jabs here and there for the people close enough to him to know he only jokes. Sometimes.

Favorite places/ways to be touched?

🌸 Euphorbia: Touch is a bit weird for Euph, since you've definitely got to be on the tier of friend or higher for her to willingly allow it. Though if she is in the village and someone taps her shoulder to get her attention or something she isn't going to lash out, since she is trying to play nice to avoid being tossed to the wilds with amnesia in an unfamiliar land.

As far as more intimate touch. We kind of touched on (heh) preferred places and ways to be touched with a kink meme. (Not posted but maybe… someday? It's not visually explicit, just a checklist.) But I imagine anyone else but Volo making her aware of how small she is would be met with grrrhisss, but definitely is not opposed to feeling his entire hand wrap around a wrist or shoulder or whatnot. Very much a case of "I am showing you my neck because I feel secure, please don't break it"

✨️ Volo: 

Volo is touch starved. And while there are spots that he is self conscious about, namely scars, this dude will absolutely melt at the slightest touch truthfully. He’s really big on… Hand holding. In both normal and sexual settings, He wants to twine his fingers together to show that he’s still there and that he loves her, always. Also pretty into his chest being played with and ass grabs oop— 

He’s got a nice ass and he knows it. 

He also loooves his hair being touched, his hair being a bit of a symbol to his progress in life. Once super long and flowy (longer than even current Volo’s), it was once cut down to about ear length against his own will. So it being as long as it is once more, this man feels a lot of emotion about it. 

One big thing to note; He does not like the touch of strangers in any regard. Especially after certain points in his life, he really does not care for random people even brushing shoulders with him accidentally. It makes him nervous, and nervousness leads into his anger which… Don’t touch this man without permission, he may recoil, and if you’re lucky he’ll only grumble about it. Especially his hands if he doesn’t know you. With how self conscious he is about his claws… 

There is another like. Super sensitive spot on his dude, but I shan’t reveal that yet… 😏

Hmm… she is probably mostly monogamous, it would take a very special someone since she's pretty stuck on this guy. I could see like a political alliance threesome or maybe a secret spying one but not anything legitimately more than business. Even then I know he wouldn’t ever go through with full blown sex with anyone other than Euph for a plethora of reasons (most of which I will not say just yet but), but yeah teasing and toying to get information out of someone before tossing them aside is not off the table. 

Moral code and breaking it?

Her morals, outwardly, are pretty good. And actually not horrendously bad either. She's definitely willing to do some sketchy shit and feel minimally bad about it depending on what it is. "Be nice to me/my friend or I'll punch your lights out" and "good thing the nearest village is so far away because you fucked up and I'm going to break your wrist now and don't want someone to come running" type shit

As for what would make her break a moral code... your standard desperation, that can make anyone act unwise. That desperation can definitely range in flavor though, instinctual or meditated on.

Euph is pretty stubborn as a previous kiri nin from ye old days where the village was basically self-cannibalizing itself politically and maybe even literally. So having resolve and the will to keep moving forward even if you have to become monstrous to do so is far from an unknown concept. But...she also has come to value softer and sweeter things. So it's a bit complicated.

I guess the answer is just fuck around and find out ALSKDH

Volo is… We all know Volo. He's a bit of an enigma in that of himself. His moral code, mind you his moral code, is quite different from the black and white common views of the world. Most nothing to him is inherently good or evil, everything is chaos, nothing and everything matters all at once. As such, his code of conduct varies vastly from situation to situation, there's obviously the favorable things to do, the more socially acceptable things, but seeing himself as an outlier to the status quo, he's more flexible to make choices that more typical people would… Probably not do?? The key point in understanding his mindset is that he doesn't value life the way most do. 

That being said, breaking his own code would be not only incredibly difficult, but also quite the event. The most likely causes for him to act out of his typical would be one of two things; Wrath, or Envy. Seeing as he is a cocky and confident bastard, it isn't too terribly often that he loses his temper truly. But when he does, boy does he. Easily comparable to a raging fire, once he's mad mad, it's hard to get him to calm down and will act out of instinct. 

Jealousy, on the other hand, makes the man act unwise. Often does jealousy lead to his more… Questionable choices, leaning on the dumb side. Often these choices go against his instinct.

💕 thoughts on parenting/being a parent?

he thinks out of everything he's ever done in his life being a parent is the hardest and most rewarding thing he's ever done. i think it brings him great joy to be able to nurture his children into adulthood and he just loooves being able to instill curiosity & passion in them. like don't get me wrong he's probably been accidentally set on fire enough times over the years to have been like hey why did i want this so badly again. and it's definitely something where he thinks you need to be prepared for children and if you are not prepared then you are doing that child a disservice but he loooves being a parent he loves his kids he loves teaching them and also lying to them for fun and for sport <3

👌 do they think they are/would be a good parent?

i think pre-children the latent thought in alas' mind is that he'd be a good parent because 1) he had good parents so he has good role models 2) he's a big brother to some significantly younger siblings so he kiiiind of got a trial run so he's like yeah i'd be a good dad :) yeah i'm dilf material ;) yeah. and then for like 2 months before felix is born and like 3 months afterward he is in the trenches like I AM GOING TO DESTROY THIS TINY BEING'S LIFE. I AM GOING TO FUCK THIS UP IMMEASURABLY. OH MY GOD HE'S GOING TO HATE ME FOREVER. and then he evens out again when he realizes he's doing fine and felix has not died in the first three months of his life and he hasn't even dropped him once which means he's doing better than his parents <3

"present" day (thinking with all the kids existing at some vague age) he's back to thinking he's a good dad and that he's done a good job so far, because that's probably what he hears from the kids anyway. especially because he might be a little too indulgent and might let them get away with a little too much...... he just loves his kids man :')

🍳 what kind of family gatherings do they prefer? why?

FEASTS............. listen this is a man who wholeheartedly believes in the power of connection via food and who loooves to cook with his family and cook for his family and stand around with good food and good company and talk shit and dance and just EXIST with the people he loves. i think the more informal for him the better. it's definitely a requirement in the pavelloran household that they have to cook & eat dinner together at LEAST once a week because cooking is part of the experience like it wouldn't be the same if he and arihs weren't arguing over the best way to season some stew or whatever and confusing the fuck out of the twins in the process like that's how you BOND !!!! he just loves a casual excuse to hang out you know like there doesn't HAVE to be an occasion he just likes good food + good people + annoying his children and being silly with his husbands <3

I am SO glad I stayed away from clips of the show (for the most part lol) truly made the experience extremely special. like this is really my GOAT. THEE GOAT. And I got to witness her live and in person for a second time. I'm sooooo grateful and hopefully I'll have another opprotunity.

Amari Marshall is a fucking STAR. That's all I could think whenever I saw her. Stage presense on 100000. She's impactful.

Les Twins were utilized very well! I haven't seen them dance much since i hung up my fangirl cape, lol, but their dancing felt soooo familiar and I really enjoyed them 🥰

DANCE CAPTAIN HANNAH DLAINE! Y'all like to try my girl, but I loved everything she was doing on that stage. She may look diferent next to other dancers, but those lines, technique, elegance, that CLEAN look makes her great and Bey's fave 🤭

Simone showed up and showed out for her hometown! Definitely took notice of that. Ai, Alannah, and Brianna really held it down like the OGs they are. Kyndall may be the baby on tour, but she definitely rises to the occasion! love ha. Trinity is so radiant! Truly. This is her first big gig and she's definitely not taking it for granted. a PROFESSIONAL. Lisa, Nerita, ans Aakilah are all sooooo STUNNING? Truly shook looking at the three of them. As for the choreography, I love the direction Fatima took it in. I know there's been criticism over how much Bey is dancing, but I think its the perfect balance of dance and vocals. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. the choreo matches the vibe of the album, of the era perfectly.

MOVE is my fave choreo at the moment, but now that I can watch clips lmao, that might change! I just cant get that Move Your Body Girl/Free Mind mashup out of my head 😌

I think our dr eggman should improve his airfleet ships to have large heavily armored frontal plated battery rams and many rocket engine thrusters to bring down the floating resistance ships. That will allow them to plow through them with ease as I imagine eggman would be getting tired of stalemating with them in a ship to ship combat engagement and would want to make battleships that can carve a path through sheer brute force his ships become suddenly dangerous in close combat fights.

Oh my god YES hfsbskgsjshfih It'd be a great fuck off method for when Eggman's missiles, bombs, and lasers aren't hitting and he's had enough, he just says alright then get a load of THIS, battleship goes full throttle and just blasts right into them and rams them right outta the sky! Or even blows them tf up if he uses enough force and easily speeds out of the way of the explosion and debris, unscathed and looking totally badass. A great reminder that you shouldn't dare to mess with him!

He'd enjoy the excitement and pride in the bravery of daring to go for it and head right for them, they wouldn't be expecting it when he introduces a new crazy much more direct close and personal form of arial combat than ever, so they wouldn't even know how to react. When he can attack both long and short range, there's no way of stopping him when even if they're out of the line of fire/too close, they're still not safe and are actually in much more danger than he is.

He could get his entire fleet to do it at once, all lined up. Just plowing through whole enemy fleets and either breaking apart or blowing up a ton of enemy ships and wiping a ton of enemies out in just one catastrophically destructive sweep. And he could combine that with the use of his missiles, bombs, and lasers for those further away while mowing through closer ones, he'd be unstoppable in even the biggest battles! That would be epic XD He'd definitely have a real blast >:D 💜💕

Something I've always really liked about the Egg Emperor is the ability to charge at the targets and knock them out of the sky if they're mid-air, it's really hype and shocking from how fast it happens and how it charges right at you before you have time to think and react if you aren't expecting it. So Eggman doing something a bit like that but potentially even more destructive with whole battleships and maybe even entire fleets of his too is a really cool idea, I looove it 🤩

🤔😈 That's a hard one bc like most of my major works are pretty angsty but they're also mostly unfinished! I would have to say Boys Don't Cry is the angstiest in general but it'll have a happy ending!! 🥰

Nope! I try to include a fair amount of French when I'm writing France, but I write in English and no one has ever translated it. If you'd like to, go ahead!

I do get a lot of input from friends here and have been inspired by some ideas from others (with permission to make them my own stories) but no, I'm more of a solo writer who takes requests!

Arthur/Francis 🇬🇧🇫🇷 I looove ScotFra too, and US/Fr 🤤 Honorable mention for CuCan but I haven't written anything focused entirely on them yet!

Never say never. I always come back to my works even if it takes me a while 🥹

I've received a lot of compliments on my characterization and also descriptions of settings so! That must be it! I'm a details girlie ✨

Mmm writing fluff without adding angst. Don't get me wrong I love fluff I just can't help but do a little Suffering 🥺😈 Also time management, dragging things on, getting distracted 🥴😵‍💫

18.) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I do often write Francis speaking in French! (and I usually call him François bc that's the French spelling sorry hhhh) If it's a long piece of dialogue or a phrase that isn't well known, I will usually provide a translation, but if it's something like "Voila!" or "Je t'aime", y'all can figure that out for yourselves.

19.) What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Hetalia I think 🫡 I'm not rly in any other fandoms.

20.) What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Oof I don't play favorites, seriously I try to give all my WIPs equal time and attention. Sometimes if I'm not feeling something as much I'll put it off, but like I said I'm excited to write all of them!! 😁💕💘
