Hey, I saw that you were bored, and I am also bored, so have an ask! Your Owen headcanons are great, so I was wondering if you have any about Owen's interest in acting/theatre?

It's one of the things that's really interesting to me about his character, even though it only gets a brief mention in canon.

It's weird, because despite being a hardcore theatre kid myself (I spent ages 8-18 in a community theatre program doing 2 plays and a musical every year), I always tend to see Owen's interest in acting in relation to my autistic Owen headcanon, as allegorical instead of literal acting/theatre.

Although in my experience, masked autistic people make excellent actors because it's what we do all the time anyways- every social interaction is a performance. We finesse ways to deliver lines, body language, tone of voice. I have to physically stop myself from rocking or swaying. I say combinations of words I've memorized from TV, delivered in the style of whatever actor's delivery is most appealing to me. Before I was diagnosed I used to joke that I built my public personality around Lauren Graham's line deliveries in Gilmore Girls. (I also routinely quote that show in social interactions)

It's exhausting, but I can more or less be at a social event for a few hours and seem ~normal~ and then come home and fall apart. The only time I feel like I can really unmask is when I'm totally alone, and the more time I spend with others (even people I love and adore!) The more irritated I get, the more quickly I melt down, the less I'm able to keep up the "I'm totally normal" facade I've constructed.

Obviously I'm 1000% projecting onto this character, but that's kinda how I see Owen and how I write him. I mean he literally is masked for most of the show, the acting, the way he speaks and his body language changing based on who he's around and what he's doing, him putting on personas and playing characters, the specific way he speaks with his hands, the way he seems to fixate on certain interests and ideas and ideological positions, the way they emphasize his interest in details, just so much of that feels familiar to me.

I do think he probably would've enjoyed acting. It saved my life. I wouldn't have survived without learning how to be someone else, someone other people don't immediately reject. For a second I thought maybe he could've been involved in vaudeville as a teenager, like Cary Grant, but vaudeville was on its way out by the early 30s so that doesn't seem likely. He'd be too young for it.

But I imagine he really liked to read plays, even if he didn't necessarily have a way to act or to see theatre as a kid/young adult. I think in the chwm epilogue I wrote about him buying a used copy of Pygmalion (unless I deleted that in editing, I can't remember). I think he probably read a lot and listened to radio plays and listened to BBC News to perfect his respectable posh accent.

I've had a headcanon for awhile now that Curt and Owen used to have sneaky little late night movie dates, because they just both love movies so much. Curt loves the action and the fantasy, the heroics of 1950s cinema, probably westerns, war films, musicals. Owen likes noir, and sci-fi, and british kitchen sink social dramas (those might be a *bit* late for him but the precursors for that), and is fascinated with the mechanics of acting, picking things apart, like he almost sees it as research for their jobs.

That's mostly just because I love classic films from the 30s-60s and now any time I watch something that came out during their time period I find myself wondering how those characters would react to it.

To me, in my little headcanon, Owen Carvour meticulously built this image of the perfect dashing confident charming British spy. And eventually he meets Curt and he trusts Curt, he sees that they have these similar rough edges that they hide with arrogance and vanity, that they are both playing a role. Curt is the first person who more or less experiences the world the way Owen does- filtering out the unacceptable parts of themselves to get by.

Curt is the only person he ever feels safe even partially letting the act drop with. Not all the way, they could never be 100% vulnerable with each other like that. But enough that Owen feels... safe with Curt. Not just about their secret (although yes also that), but Curt is the only person Owen allows to see any vulnerability, any trace of who he really is. It's part of why what Curt does feels like such a betrayal, why Owen can't move past it. Because he had a relative safe harbor, one person on earth he trusted, and it nearly got him killed.

I'mma ramble for a second.

I think the silly haha minigames in Abiotic Factor are ingenious solutions to a distinctly "not fun" trapping of the genre.

Not "Universal" solutions, but solutions I think A GENUINELY SIZEABLE PORTION of the genre would be better off adopting.

Sleeping in survival games is boring; It often forces all the players in a multiplayer setting (which many of these games encourage) to sync up and stop playing the game at the same time so they can skip through the night, or they annoy a player in that group who wanted to do night stuff or vice versa etc.

Sleeping in more hardcore titles just forces more and more micromanaging such as if you're in a coop game where one player has some variant of "sleep deprivation" and the other has the opposite- now you have someone desperate to sleep all the time but unable to do the "fast forward" option many of these games implement because their partner isn't tired.

As much as Project Zomboid is one of my favorite games ever, I can't say "sleep in a multiplayer session" is high on my list of positives for the game both in terms of the literal implementation and in how it forces me and my buds to use similar perks or modify the server to allow us to not go absolutely mad from how our sleep schedules struggle to line up naturally.

Now the "solution" for this last case has always been "Well, just don't pick different perks then" but isn't THAT a problem?

So here comes Abiotic Factor going "What if sleep didn't advance time and didn't need to be synced in any way" "What if sleep was a per-player mini-game where you can speed up how long you're stuck sleeping by doing well, and the mini-game has a longer base-time based on how tired you are" and bam, a lot of things got improved all at once.

Because sleep in Abiotic Factor doesn't demand your fellow players bend their playstyle to your will, it instead lets YOU feel in control of it entirely. You're guy has sleepy disease? Well then YOUR gameplay will be influenced by that as you'll be seeking out couches and beds to catch quick cat-naps in, but you won't be dragging down the experience for everyone else because of it!

Also the decision to make sleep not fast forward time, but instead be game-ified like this honestly does give you the "feeling" of managing your various survival health stats while still letting you experience all aspects of the game-world's time states (IE: You still feel like you're managing your little science guy, but you also get to interact with day AND night threats instead of effectively missing half of it because you're sleeping through it).

Pooping is another layer of improvement in my opinion, because so many of these games give you 50 bars to micro manage but it all really boils down to "eat and move around and sleep".

Meanwhile Abiotic goes "Hey, the bars in this game all have some gameplay tied to them to encourage some fun. Scavenge, farm, or kill for food. Boil, filter, or scavenge for water. Keep an eye on your sleep with a small minigame aaaaaand poop."

All of them are tied to figuring out solutions- finding the thing that fulfills you, or building it. Finding couches or making a bed. Finding fresh water or figuring out a solution for it. Finding food or figuring out a source of food. Poop is just straight up another entertaining bar.

The solution to it is exploring the world for an easy to access toilet, or making one. It's VERY similar to sleep in that respect, and handled the same with a minigame.

I got lost in the sauce a bit but basically, Abiotic took a very smart approach to their micromanage bars- one that SPECIFICALLY emphasized FUN instead of just being there because it's expected to be there.

Food is pretty entertaining in this game. It's usually entertaining in these types of games, but I really do enjoy the variety of solutions here- everything from farming vending machines to hunting to cooking feel valuable to the pursuit- it's well handled!

Same with water as mentioned, lots of solutions, it makes it rewarding to tackle the problem.

Sleep is almost universally an "Unfun" part of these games. Not a NEGATIVE exactly, but there's nothing "fun" about sleep in these games- and Abiotic said "Why not?" and just made it non-intrusive to coop gameplay and turned it into a minigame that doesn't force you to skip hours of game-time. Genius!

And pooping is just a fun addition- a fun bar to manage- a silly one that has more depth than initially grasped. Because yes it encourages exploration which in itself is great, but it ALSO gives an early game risk reward of providing farming material in return for an easily dispelled debuff, and for those seeking to solve a problem there is a means to turn this bar into a resource with no debuff by making your own toilet.

It exclusively adds to the gameplay and fun instead of being a survival bar for survival bar's sake.

I struggled to convey my ideas because this is all one keysmash ramble, but basically I think Abiotic Factor did a good job at taking genre trappings and turning them into fun gameplay. Nice :)

Is it just me or are there less morally gray characters on our side now?

By that like: Drifter's more openly altruistic, Mara is opening up and respecting boundaries, Nimbus is super good etc.

All seems left is Spider. (idk if Clovis could be considered morally gray perchance)

There's definitely less, yes. I would still classify Spider and Clovis for sure, but a lot of the characters have since been kinda forced to pick a side. As Osiris told Rasputin in their cutscene:

A line has been drawn in this system. Light on one side. Dark on the other. Where do you stand?

I think this was a question in general to a lot of characters, not just Rasputin. I also really love shifty characters, but as we near the end of the story, there simply is no time for us to endure and tolerate characters who aren't clear on where they stand. The survival of all existence in the universe depends on it.

I think muddying the waters is something that happens in the middle of the story, but by the time we get closer to the end of the narrative, these have to become clear. Like, right now, our enemies are so overwhelming and so powerful that any sort of indecisiveness or shiftiness can be seen as extremely dangerous. There's no more room for staying neutral or playing both sides.

With Drifter in particular though, I'm super hardcore with the belief that his story was always leading to this. It's the natural line of his character arc. He was cool as a shifty guy, but that was just the surface of him as a character. There was always a deeper desire that he followed all of his life; his desire to be safe and his reliance on hope.

He had his doubts in the Light and Ghosts, but he equally doubts the Darkness. He tried both sides and found them both wanting. What he finally realised, is that his place is with the people. He has always been a person eager to help, just afraid of consequences of angering the wrong side. If you remember his early life in the village Eaton, he was hiding his Light, but he could still NOT resist helping; he was using his Ghost to scout the area for food and push animals towards the village hunters.

Even when he was playing with Darkness as a Dredgen, something within recognised that it's not his place when it gave him the name of Dredgen Hope. Similarly, Shin also recognised this and established contact and they forged Gambit together to weed out corruption in Guardians. And finally, he met us, the Young Wolf at the urging of Osiris no less:

“Go home. There’s a Guardian you should meet,” Osiris said.

“Yeah, yeah. Hero. Red War. Can’t wait.”

When he realised that he can trust us AND that we trust him, he finally figured that he can relax for the first time in his life. It was a tipping point. Everyone spent so long telling him about trust and hope and a possible better future and there was nothing to convince him it could be truly real until we came along.

And then of course Eris came to him in Arrivals and that just strengthened the deal. There were people who needed him, people who believed in him, people he could help. Permanently! Hope for a better future was real and it was worth investing into. Light is not the be all end all, we can use Darkness as well to our benefit and he excels in that, but he uses it on our side. There is no other option. He tested them all out and the only one that makes him not feel afraid is our side.

I find his journey absolutely fascinating beyond any other and his development to be one of the best arcs in the whole game. I definitely enjoy Drifter being schemy and shifty, he was a fascinating change of tone in the Tower when he showed up. But I think that keeping him locked into that role would've been a stagnation of his character and not really compelling. Keeping him shifty just for the sake of having a shifty character would just get boring and it would've led nowhere.

It's definitely a change that makes a lot of people miss the old him, but also remember that all of his shifty acting up was mostly a scam. He was meant to pretend to be shady in order to draw people to Gambit and to enact the scheme of figuring which Guardians will fall to corruption. In truth, everyone in the Vanguard knows about the purpose of Gambit and it's been approved.

Either way, for Drifter in particular I will always say that not only was his change necessary for his own benefit (so he could stop being miserable and afraid all his life), it was also the natural conclusion to every hint about his inherent desire to help and his belief in hope. Definitely made us miss the shifty scammer extraordinaire, but I am primarily interested in seeing my fave get better and achieve what he's been looking for for so long.

Could we have gotten some other characters like that after? Possibly. But as I said at the start, super hard to navigate that type of a person when we're dealing with, basically, the end of a story. A shifty character right now would have a hard time fitting in. Spider is still there, but with much less influence. And Clovis is of course Clovis, but his inability to pick a side is what now makes him potentially incredibly dangerous. That's the problem with being shifty right now; even casual flirting with our enemies is lethal.

Okay so I’ll just list them off, Minecraft is an all time favourite of mine. I’ve been playing it since it came out in 2009, I remember back when all the blocks looked so different and there was no creative. I played it with my sister all the time growing up. Even right this second I’m watching ezY survive 2000 days in hardcore lol😝

Next up is Fortnite, I used to absolutely hate it. Then one day I was bored with nothing to do and decided why the fuck not. I died within two minutes because I did not know about the storm and circle part of the game. I really got into Fortnite and again I got my sister to play it with me, we were duo queens💅🏽 I am very disappointed with how the game has developed, i think it started to go down hill when they did the whole primal dinosaur chapter. I even stopped playing for a bit. But when they did the OG map I started playing again and I am still playing today. I got a solo win earlier😝

I really like among us but I feel like it’s better when there’s a big group of people over mics instead of taking forever to type with a controller, there was never a group of people who wanted to do that so I don’t play that really anymore. But still one of my favourites. I loved being imposter.

Sims. Sims 1, sims 2, sims 3, sims 3 pets and sims 4. These are elite. The progress they’ve made over the years, I grew up with sims and I can’t wait for sims 5. Fingers crossed they finally add multiplayer.

GTA as well as RDR 1 and 2 these are really fun to play with a group, I get bored playing this alone. Online play is the best in my opinion for these games. I haven’t played in a few weeks I don’t think.

Grounded, I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. I got very frustrated when I died though and the spiders were fucking scary as fuck! But I recommend playing this one, especially with other people I had so much fun.

Gang beasts is another one I play, I only really play when I want to laugh my ass off uncontrollably though. Still very good and a favourite.

Okay now, Hogwarts Legacy was fucking epic! An absolute masterpiece! The gameplay, the cinematography, the music, the characters, all of it. I fell in love with the story. And as a lover of the Harry Potter books and movies, being able to walk around Hogwarts in that much detail even in a game and being able to fly around on a broom was so amazing to me. I loved this game so much. I played it for a month straight and It did take me a solid week to defeat the boss, and I got very angry every time I died but it was so good.

Dreamlight valley, as someone who grew up watching Disney and cried my fucking eyes out watching the Disney parade at Disney World, being able to play in a Disney world with all your favourite characters is so cool. Being able to make it what you want, it’s such a good game. I am a little disappointed that you now have to pay for expansion packs in the game but the company’s have to make their money somehow I guess.

Halo, another one I grew up playing. I remember when it first came out. I remember playing it on the Xbox 360. And I have continued to play it all the way through to today. Replayed the second game last week. Love all of the masterchief collection.

Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

Oh no! It's another one of my Favorite Albums Of All Time™. This is the best rock album of the 90's. Somehow blending ennui and deep longing into one contradictory emotion. Crooked Rain speaks to the contradictory feelings of growing up in a middle class suburb. The rebellion vs the comfort. The desire for something that you don't know what it is, but you need it so bad. It's an album about growing up, but it's great contradiction is that it brings me back to childhood every time I hear it. And that isn't nostalgia talking either, I didn't hear this album at all until I was out of high school. If you only listen to one album off the list so far make it this one.

LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver

Deadpan irony delivered with dispassionate sincerity. It's hard to tell whether LCD Soundsystem is making fun of you for having feeling or if they're making fun of you for thinking that you don't. Are they genuinely mad about being mistaken for a European band or are they joking? Is the title track sympathetic or dismissive of teenage angst? Is party culture self destructive or triumphant? The lack of any real answers meld with the slow building and steady instrumentals to create a world where the answers are whatever conclusion you draw. Maybe things can be more than one thing.

Usher - Confessions

Ngl man if you gotta write two back to back songs apologizing for shit then she's probably in the right to leave your ass lol. This album is solid. I think it drags a little, but its not like it's top heavy or anything. I think I just get bored with sensitive R&B guys faster than others. The fact that the album's tone is to be unapologetically horny but also very apologetic at the same time is hilarious to me. I know it isn't deliberate camp but when Usher goes from I'm good at sex songs to please take me back songs it's like environmental storytelling for toxic dudes.

Los Lobos - How Will the Wolf Survive

I'll admit that a sorta folksy sorta rockabilly album from 84 is not an exciting prospect to me. It wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't rock my world either. Not a complete bust though since there is some nice accordion playing here and that always makes me happy.

Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True

The idea to wrap up the brattiest, meanest lyrics in Buddy Holly style rock n roll was one of the greatest masterstrokes of the 70s punk scene. Typically when an artist tries to emulate past styles, especially from the pre stereo era, they either emulate too perfectly and end up derivative or they fail entirely and wind up sounding sterile. Elvis Costello somehow avoids this entirely. The lo fi punk rock production compliments the 50s throwback aesthetics in a way that feels authentic to both styles.

The Four Tops - Reach Out

When I was a child my dad listened exclusively to an oldies station that didn't seem to realize that music existed outside of the years 1951-1968. Hits from the Motown records label were naturally staples of their lineup and the songs that always stood out to me happened to be by The Four Tops. I Can't Help Myself, Bernadette, Walking In The Shadows Of Love, and Reach Out I'll Be There wound up being some of the most foundational songs of my childhood. This album contains three of those four songs. The only real point of this anecdote is to explain how I'm not qualified to review anything by The Four Tops. Hell I even named myself after Levi Stubbs' character from Little Shop of Horrors. This isn't one of my favorite albums of all time, but it contains some of my most essential songs of all time.

Hüsker Dü - New Day Rising

Right in the middle of their discography and in the middle of their evolution from hardcore punk to alt rock pioneers. New Day Rising almost feels like it could have been an early emo influence. Buzzsaw guitars threaten to drown out helplessly shouted vocals. Ok playing modded hardcore.

I lose intrest in vanilla cause the few times I player vanilla hardcore was while I was still afraid of everything so I'd be too scared of doing anything and get bored.

THIS Time I'm watching too much Philza and playing modded normal survival and defeated the end.

Was like.. I'm bored what now. Stares at Phil playing hardcore.

Solution lose my mind being snipped by modded creepers 5 times in a row trying to build a house in hardcore modded survival.

Anyways I finally survived long enough to build my mini mansion. Its very cute cottage esq. Plus I found a sparkle (galosphere mod) and he lives in my house now.

4 story house on a mountain top. Forest surrounded. A small village a few miles down the mountain. Floor to ceiling windows. High ceilings at that, and very open floor plan. Detached kitchenette with real brick walls, a sun room, and balcony. Extra storage in the basement. Built in shelving for attic library.

I don't usually build in survival because it gets annoying as fuck for me. Last time I did it was on a server that had plugins I could buy access to like /fly and a shop. So.. creative with extra steps and an actual real money paywall.

But!! I have built my house and its very cute despite me realizing once I finished I made the roof uneven. Quick fix wasn't the end of the world. So I feel more confident. Watching all the vods and it reminds me of when I built for rps on a minecraft server as a wee little child. I miss making cool builds so I already have plans.

Right now the plan is to decorate my house cause its empty right now, then get diamond armor before a creeper can take me out, and after that make farms for food.

- dyeable pots. terracotta colours, n you can throw them in a furnace for glazed variants!!! also maybe a medium sized pot for berries and other junk.

BUT I also in awe of Dragon Priests, and Identify as one flkdsl;af

Fave race is probably Dunmers and only them. Khajiits are nothing special for me, and the hype around them keeps me away from even looking at them. Argonians are at the second place at best, just don;t like that they are favorites of my mutuals outside of tumblr, because they love dragons. Altmers are too hard for me, but I want to try them more lol. Dunmers are just... so familiar to me at this point, I;m not gonna change my view on them.

My fave weapon is tied to my favorite quest! Mace of Molag Bal, and his quest is just UGH. I love him so much, and his weapon is so perfect for me, as a damn killer vampire dunmer MWAHAHA. And just how I got to like his quest? Kill, maim, kill. But also I just know that this is the only quest of him (excluding the altar of Molag Bal in the Volkihar castle), and I can;t have shit to move him anywhere just because his quest is too small and boring. At the second place probably the quest from College of Winterhold, because fuck it there;s a damn Dragon Priest, and fuck it, magic quest? Hell yeah I;ll take it Also the Miraak quest is nice too, but it;s so hard for me jeez I;ve never completed it f;lkdsl

Hello I have an account on tumbler but I can’t log in lol so for now I’m just asking anonymously but I’m a very big Minecrafter I love Minecraft and the endless adventures that you can do in game I also just started watching your channel and your honestly pretty amazing your let’s plays are super cozy and I was wondering if you can give me some tips on starting out in survival Ive played it but I have never really played survival through without getting bored so can you please give me some tips

A few questions to ask yourself before you start a new world: Why do you want to make this world? What are you hoping to accomplish? Are there any challenges you want to take on (hardcore, progress in 100 days, all the achievements, etc.,)?

Then decide if you want to do a random seed or search for a seed. I've done both in the past and I'll be honest, when I search for a seed that has a spawn/biomes nearby that I really like, I feel way way way more passionate about my projects directly from the get-go. I don't mind a grind at all for resources or traveling for other blocks, but having a cool area nearby spawn to build in just really has made me happy!

Some good resources: Minecraft Seeds Subreddit, Seed Map Website (where you can generate random seeds quickly!), Minecraft & Chill on YouTube - lots of really incredible seed videos if you're a really visual person (and all of the seeds are in the description so you can copy and paste!)

I feel like I also really struggled with this when I first started getting into survival gameplay so here are some things that I did at the beginning that really helped me out: 1) Taking inspiration from other Let's Plays : Now I don't mean copying the build style or anything, but actually seeing how they progressed and what they prioritized, because I'll be honest, before I started making Minecraft content I'd only ever defeated the Ender Dragon once and I was carried by my boyfriend, lol. Before that, all I really did was try and build cool houses (most notably for some reason lots of sand castles or underwater glass bases). But building up farms, learning how to do trading with villagers, trying out different building styles and covering up my farms with builds all really inspired me and kept me focused!

2) Keep a 'to-do' list : This one can be really personal and you can do it in game (in a book, signs on a project board, etc.,) or you can keep one out of the game in google docs, notion, on paper, however you really want to do it! This can help you keep track of everything you want to do: goals, farms, builds, and give you a sense of satisfaction towards 'checking things off your to-do list'!

3) Try and work on one thing at a time : In the early game, don't overstress by looking at the entire to do list after you make it. Focus on one thing at a time, even if it means you'll be moving a cow farm or something later, get yourself set up with the resources you need and focus on them one at a time. Usually some early game projects for me are: getting a bed!, water bucket/shield, all wood types, diamond gear, renewable food source, finding a village, getting a house set up, making a farm, enchanting, etc., and those can be your projects if you like them to be as well, but work on them one at a time! Unless you're doing a 100 days challenge for yourself you're in absolutely no rush to get anything done that you don't want to do!

4) Later, when you get stuck : Work on something else or play something else for a while. This will help you *so much* in the long run as you won't be burning out on projects that are giving you problems or taking longer than anticipated to complete. I play Minecraft for content and for fun, but I also always make sure when I'm not recording or with friends I play some other games too to keep Minecraft not getting stale for me. And if and when I get stuck, I will simply move on to another project and leave a project partially finished. I've done this on my hardcore streams on Twitch, I'm rebuilding a village for my villagers and I'm a slow builder while I'm chatting up with everyone. In between houses, I work on building up farms for resources, go on silly adventures to find allays or all of the cat varieties, or simply shift my focus to another project in the village like pathways, streetlights, ponds, gardens, etc., to keep myself from burning out on building.

I know those last two points are a bit contradictory but I guess it sort of feels to me like writing, painting, or anything else. Don't force yourself if you're feeling burnt out. Minecraft for most of us is a way to have fun, so remember to keep it fun for yourself and not like work.

Remember it's a sandbox game-you can add mods, texture packs, play on any difficulty (including peaceful), and just really experience the game how you want to. Once I started to worry about what I enjoyed more in my world, and how I wanted to play, what I wanted to do, etc., I felt so much more inspired to start and stick with a world!

I was adding onto the DSMP Actor AU post, but it turned into Wilbur musician AU, haha rip me, and I only know SBI anyways so here’s a separate post. (It goes back to actor AU at the end.) It’s hypothetically still in the same universe though, and obviously inspired by it. If anything’s phrased weirdly, it’s cuz this was originally an addition to that. 

tbh I kinda adhered to their IRL careers too much compared to the OP but whatever it’s fine.

Wilbur is an indie artist really on the come up

Your City Gave Me Asthma was pretty good for a first release, popular with both new fans and fans of his acting.

He had starred in a short mystery/thriller-ish series that started off disguised as a normal sitcom: Chilly in Lincolnshire {Editor Wilbur ARG}

It had a prominent release because of Jack Massey’s involvement and previous fame, but production was abruptly scrapped before it tied everything up with a bow on top, so to speak. It’s still unclear if this was actually planned in order to tell the story the way they way wanted. 

Even before that, critics had mixed reviews, either applauding the storytelling and acting or calling it “irrationally confusing, an amateurish attempt to box unconventional storytelling into a conventional medium.”

Also SootHouse was a sitcom that achieved a cult following during the two seasons it ran before cancellation. Either you’re a fan or you’re never heard of it, and people constantly forget Wilbur was in it. 

(He was a few other old shows on his resume too. Wilbur always focuses on the newest project, so everyone always forgets about what he was in before.) 

Maybe I Was Boring EP was initially just bonus tracks on his website, but his fans liked it so much he gave it a wider release

In between, he had a few comedy songs go viral on youtube. Everybody was so confused when they realized it was the same Wilbur as musician/actor Wilbur. He laughed about it in an interview, saying “How many Wilburs do you know?” 

That’s when it came out that “Wilbur Soot” was actually a stage name. (”Ha, fair, only one.” “Make that zero-- my name’s not really Wilbur.”)

He kinda disappeared after that?? Didn’t do anything, really inactive on social media. It was semi-confirmed that he was both working on his mental health and prepping some stuff (music, auditions).

But anyways he just released a series of singles, combined into Digital Love {E-girl trilogy}-- he’s transformed his image yet again, but this time he does take ownership of all his past ventures.

The release of Digital Love bridges the end of SMP Earth and the beginning Dream SMP. 

But before that there was MCC and the other stuff.

They are shows where celebrities team up do stuff-- you know the type 

but Minecraft Monday is still inexplicably Minecraft Monday. Some Youtuber just managed to get all these up and coming celebrities to play a Minecraft tournament. 

And that’s where the Sleepy Bois (minus Tommy) met IRL so that’s where they meet here. 

SMP Earth, like Minecraft Manhunts, is also a former show they were on. I’m going to call it World Domination. Don’t @ me; I know that’s trash lol. 

They and the Dream Team met up because of their shared fanbases and were even talking a crossover, but it didn’t really work that well for the stories so they scrapped it

They make a non-canon cross over episode anyways {no IRL equivalent, I think}

Everybody loves the cons. Everytime there’s a con, five friendships are made and eight ideas are created. 

Techno backstory time

He’s done a lot of long running, though not exactly popular, serials and sitcoms: Blitz, Survival Games, and Sky Wars. 

Winstreak: 1000 {Bed Wars 1000 winstreak} was so popular they made a second season, but it never got as big as the first. He worked nearly exclusively with Hypixel Studios. 

He was doing lots of random content for their new Sky World universe {Skyblock} -- the small studio was big on experimentation -- , when a fictional documentary, The Great Potato War, went proper viral. 

They made two sequels WHILE he was doing those celebrity team challenge shows and then World Domination, and they were actually good sequels.

Got a reputation for being shallow and a sell-out, but he makes a joke of it so much he gets away with it and constantly self-promos.

Also a kinda scary to work with for the first time because of how single-minded he can get, but once you realize how socially awkward he is it’s okay.  

Now that’s he’s in a lot of stuff with worldbuilding, he practically has the wikis memorized. 

Tommy mainly did limited series and movies before World Domination, where he met the SBI.

He’d had been a fan of Wilbur for a while, and was super star-struck at first, but got over it really quickly in his Tommy style

He still is a total fanboy at concerts and whenever a new music video drops. “I’m friends with the guy! I know him, Wilbur Soot!” “Tommy, you’re famous too.” “Yeah, cuz I’m practically in the video!” “No--” 

Wilbur takes Tommy to one of his concerts and he’s so hyped the entire time, especially to go behind the scenes and on the stage. 

Sometimes he gets stressed about the pressure of being a child star, but Techno, Philza, and Wilbur promise to stand by him and they make him feel protected 

One time Wilbur’s drunk and almost hands Tommy a drink before swearing and going, “You’re a bloody child! You can’t have that! God, what would Philza think?” Tommy’s not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed. 

Philza laughs at the story and actually lets Tommy try a little in a more controlled, responsible situation. Tommy texts his mum first, and then hates the drink anyways. (”This is rubbish! I am a man, but I’m not drinking this!” Techno: “Alcohol is disappointing. I drink orphan’s tears instead.” “Techno WHAT--”)

Philza had been the star of a zombie apocalypse show: Golden Core 

He did canonically die to a child zombie in the movie version. Yes, they made a movie version of the TV show, because the Golden Core franchise actually has had many other shows {other hardcore series}. 

Everybody tries to get the child zombie props near him because of that (they’re puppets)

He’s done a lot of other things, like in the original actor AU post, but none of them came close in popularity. 

He gives the rest of the SBI the knowledge he’s gained from being in the biz for so long. 

There’s also a running joke about SBI meaning “Spy Boys Incorporated” and them starring in a comedy spy movie

The fans would very much actually like this to happen. There’s so many fanons for it (maybe I’ll write one....) 

Back to the DSMP. Maybe I’ll call it Dreamland or smth. 

Wilbur constantly asks Tommy if he’s okay after any difficult scenes

Especially when they were hanging out together a lot in the exile arc.

All the brother scenes were cut because Wilbur kept breaking down and crying in them.

Sometimes people actually ask Techno and Tommy if they’re actually brothers. Tommy tries to go along with it half the time on the basis of “it’s be funny,” so there’s a subset of casual fans that genuinely don’t know. 

After Alivebur was killed off, Wilbur was going to leave the show to concentrate on his music

But he missed the SMP and hanging so much that he just showed up on set one day saying “I’m a ghost now,” and everyone just rolled with it

Alivebur was so popular that, seeing that Wilbur was willing, they decided to bring him back for Season 3. He’s been avoiding doing heavy scenes, but he still seems really invested and like he wants to come back to the show.

Wilbur talks with Techno about writing and lore a lot

Wilbur attempted to get a D&D group going in the cast, but the show was already close enough, with the amount of improvisation they can get by with

Tommy’s Pigstep cover happened, but the background was Philza clapping barely in time with just Wilbur on bass instead (and of course Techno’s “BAHP”s)

It was a charity stream. They had put on their costumes (clothes only) for a previous goal. 

This one was simply called “We rap.”

Some people were almost disappointed that Tommy was the only one actually rapping, but he was so funny it made up for it.
