My AC6 MT brawler AU made me think about a game based on it... and honestly i'd love to play a game like this:

Game Loop:

The game would have a sort of calender system that revolves around tournament seasons. Each season will take a month with one match per week and a month “rest” in between.

The mech is used for the MT brawler matches and if it is unfit for a match, you automatically forfeit the tournament for that season. Sometimes it’s more beneficial to forfeit and focus on rebuilding your scrap metal stocks/money for the rest of the month fo rthe next tournament.

Winning tournaments grants you fame which allows you to access higher level tournaments with higher payouts. Losing one or two isn’t a problem, but when you hit a losing streak your fame drops and you can be bumped back into lower tier tournaments.

Outside of MT brawler matches, the mech can be used to conduct courier missions. This is protag’s main job: courier jobs is transporting various cargo to other colonies on Tau Ceti, and depending on its risk and what cargo you’re transporting, you’ll be paid handsomely - but also at higher risk of being ambushed en route, which can cause damage to your mech. Remember to weigh the risk of a high paying courier job with whether you can chance damaging your mech before a match.

Aside from courier jobs, the rest of the week can be spent building rapport with various NPCs in the home colony. This can range from your manager who also moonlights as your main mechanics, shopkeeps, fans, the courier guild leader, or even your MT brawler rivals. (Maybe a romance mechanic? Maybe.)

To manage the MT, you need more than just money: you need scrap metal. Scrap metal comes in various levels of quality and even specialisation, as if depends where the metal has come from. The cheapest metal is not military grade and cannot handle more than a single hit, but it’s light and patches holes if you’re strapped for metal and cash. Military grade metal or higher is more expensive, but is far more durable and can resist various damage outputs (energy, fire, etc) depending on how it’s made.

The gameloop is balancing your finances for scrap metal and repair costs, building relationships to make it easier to gain supplies or access higher paying courier missions, and running courier missions to keep you MT brawling career afloat.
