Lilly of Moussillon as my Bannerlord player character ! That body armor cost me 270k denars just when I thought I was getting too much money for it to ever be useful.
I have hopelesly lost myself to Mount And Blade 2: Bannerlord, so to get just any drawing done at all, heres a little doodle of my character Abeil.
Proud Battanian born mercenary: D
on't 'ate the Vlandians, just don't like 'em is all.
She's very short but very violent. The long-hafted mace helps her reach peoples faces with her attacks.
So difference between me playing Crusader Kings and Bannerlord is that in Crusader Kings I actually know who the fuck my children are. I am probably plotting to kill at least one of them, but I know who they are. When the little make a decision button comes up in Bannerlord, I have to figure out if it's my kid or a niece/nephew.

Playing Bannerlord today, and I'm really vining with how they've chosen to name the towns and villages on the map.
Rhotae and Epicrhotea: guy gets kicked out of Rhotea and proceeds to found a new and better city with "hookers and blow". They're on two sides of the same mountain, too.
Gaos and Gaos castle: Gaos sells cows. It rhymes. It's cows!
A bunch of villages are named for the horses they sell.
Bukkits: literally. Unfortunately, they do not sell buckets. They also sell cows.
Ustukol and Ustukol Castle: I can only read this as "U stuck, lol?" As the castle is on the entrance to a peninsula, and the village is on the far end (the sticky outy bit).
I'm sure I can find more and will do as I continue to rack hours into the Medieval Nomad Simulator.
She quickly gained a trusted bodyguard, Nahawa, that never strayed from her side. Nahawa was with Abeil for all of her greatest victories, while her renown grew. The two grew quite fond of each other, and since Abeil never took a husband ("too busy making war", she would proclaim), rumours stirred.
As Abeils renown grew, she was offered vassalage by her high king, Caladog, ascending her from mere mercenary to the ranks of the low nobility. Soon after this, Caladog started a campaign against the northern Sturgians which Abeil and her company joined - The campaign abrubtly ended in a gruesome ambush, where the entirety of Abeils force was wiped out and both her and her trusty bodyguard were reported missing, pressumed dead.
Some within Battania speculate, in hushed voices, that the entire campaign was but a scheme by Caladog himself, to rid of the troublesome upstart mercenary. The highborn never took well to the ascendance of any of common blood after all.
The end? At least of that playthrough. Unless ... ?
Mount and Blade: Bannerlord be like here's a game with immersive and intuitive combat and riding mechanics, a vividly-realized setting based off of Late Antiquity, and gorgeous environments, now let's make sure you quickly stop enjoying all of it by forcing you to grind for Clan Tiers and money for a minimum of 80 hours
here's some strategy guides you can watch for six hours on Youtube to make the grind more tolerable, because that's obviously more reasonable than us just making items cheaper and Clan Tiers faster to clear
