I cant stop thinking about how White more or less pulls women AND men damn near consistently but this guy, who constantly wants to be romantic, pulls absolutely ZERO bitches. like not a SINGLE one. To the point where White (the one guy whose known to be one of the nicest dudes around) literally pokes fun at it. if i were black i would literally just blow up the ship at that point. there is no coming back from that

A list of of the Xbox 360 DLC still up to buy in the store! Along with all delisted DLC we are aware of.
With just over a week list we've put together a quick list of every game where the DLC is still up to buy in the UK store. They may be delisted in your region however. This list was made using the all search list, which is still up at present expect it to disappear on the 29th of July.
Link here: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Games/All?SortBy=Title&PageSize=90
Change the letters GB to the letters used for your region of the website North America is US for example.
All the games listed have at least one of their DLCs still up in the store, some DLC content may be delisted already and a few still show in the store and can't be purchased as we found out with the Map Pack for Ninety-Nine Nights II yesterday when we tried to buy it.
This is a full list and includes all games, some have the DLC on Xbox One / Series others do not. Some games like N+ and Lost Planet 2 have DLC on Xbox 360, but not in the Xbox One Store.
Some games like Fallout 2 and Star Wars The Force Unleashed have complete version. Others like Mass Effect, Borderlands 2 and Two Worlds have version with some of the DLC on disc, but not all.
I've tried to list free DLC and Compatibility Pack for games, but as I've done this in a hurry I haven't labeled them all. Hopefully I didn't miss any from the official marketplace webaite, but let me know if I did.
I've tried to list all games with their full name, but the shop's A-Z has some odd listings, something they list them by the word "the" but not others. Some games are just initials, some use the full name like Tony Clancy's etc.. others skip the author name and just use Splinter Cell.
Example Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes turns up in the C listing.
I've included a very rough list of delisted or unobtainable DLC at the bottom which is a work in progress. At some point in the future, I might try and turn this into a full list of games with DLCs.

Polar Pass ~ Finally, the Ideal Roster
Excluding what I have already discussed, there are 16 characters I would change. Starting with 3rd party characters and the Ultimate DLC: Crash/Cortex for (and Coco/Nina because I got rid of Chrom because I got rid of Roy) Pyra/Mythra and Rayman for Min Min. I have already gone over these characters but I'll add some more points. We already had Shulk representing Xenoblade, we did not need more. No one cares about Arms and replacing Min Min with Rayman makes a lot of sense due to reach of their limbs. Throughout this list a lot of replacements are going to be with some similar (and also a lot won't be). For other 3rd party reps I have taken out all of the Mii fighters. The Mii fighters are lame and the Wii series of games was already represented by Wii Fit Trainer, who is a character I don't like to play as but is a very unique addition to the roster. Instead I put in Professor Layton and Bomberman, because I love Professor Layton and I love my friend who suggested Bomberman, and Raiden. Not from Mortal Kombat, although another good choice, but from MGS. MGS kicks ass and I think a tactical super soldier guerilla warfare guy works against a robotic ninja. There needs to be more unique weapon based characters in Smash like spearmen, bombers, and cybernetic ninjas. Raiden is the second most unique character and star of his own game and that's why he's in. For Pokemon: Gardevoir for Jigglypuff, Smeargle for Pichu, and Oshawott for Roy (haha). You can keep Mewtwo, I understand how important they and that first Gen of Pokemon are. Keeping along with replacing Melee characters, Eggplant Man for Dr. Mario and Krystal for Falco. Capitalising on the Mario Movie and the fact that Wrecking Crew already has a stage in smash, and is much better than all the other one off games on NES, is why Eggplant Man is in. Krystal has an ice spear and Falco is mean. Fox, Krystal, and especially Wolf are also way more sexy than Falco. Last two 3rd party reps: Tetris for Isabelle and Eggman for Bowser Jr. . I'm sorry, Isabelle is still lame and Tetris is the best selling game. I do not have to defend myself here. Eggman? Why him above the rest? Simple, everyone else is too much like Sonic. Same thing with MGS, why put in The Boss or Liquid Snake when Raiden is really unique? Tails, Knuckles, Shadow? Too much like Sonic. Eggman is the most distinct and a good replacement for Bowser Jr. who relys on tech. Also, despite making up a lot of villains in platformers, there's not a single mad scientist in Smash (except for Cortex now but shhh). It's Eggman! Now, I'm sorry Mario/Yoshi/Wario, I'm sorry Metroid, I'm sorry Pikmin. No new reps for you. Paper Mario, Shy Guy, Ashley, Chozo, Bulborb. All great choices, the honourable mentions, but I don't think anyone else deserves more reps as bad as Zelda. Darunia for Young Link, Midna for Toon Link, Hestu for Robin, and Tingle for Corrin. Hey, did you know, FE has only sold twice as much as Pikmin? Did you know FE's best selling game has sold a comparable amount to the best selling Pikmin game? I understand, numbers isn't causal to influence and Metroid has similar sales to FE. But 6 is too many. Zelda deserves them WAY more. But why these characters? They are a good representation of species or beloved or really weird. Gorons and Koroks are really cool and show how much more there is to Zelda than elves and a Captain Falcon Clone. Midna is the best companion in any Zelda game. And Tingle is Tingle! There you have it, a roster that gives Zelda and Pokemon its do credits, has very a reasonable amount of 3rd party reps, gives a little more to MGS and Sonic, and shows off a more interesting side of Nintendo's history. The Ultimate Showdown.

Meimiday 2024 Wall of Awesome
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!!
January 28th is my birthday, dubbed Meimiday several years ago by my friends (I think it was hojo who started it). For those years, I would spend all day watching streams from said friends playing games for my birthday entertainment. Over a decade ago, however, when asked what I’d like to see I kinda just went “Why don’t you just beat some games?” and so the festivities truly began. Most of us frequent the Backloggery, so it’s kinda easy to see why it has snowballed~

Tumblr media
Initially revealed to the public as the mysterious “NX” back in 2016, the device that would come to be known as the “Switch” succeeded where its predecessor, the WiiU, ultimately fell short. As of the end of March 2023, more than 125 million Switch consoles have been sold globally. By comparison, Nintendo sold 13.5 million WiiU consoles and about 101 million Wii consoles. To add insult to injury, most of the WiiU’s first-party library is also on the Switch, often with DLC or other goodies included to make the Switch ports the definitive versions of those games.
At launch, the Nintendo Switch scored big with games like “The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild” (2017) and “Super Bomberman R” (2017), but some of the launch titles failed to click. We’re looking at you, “1-2-Switch” (2017). Since then, a seemingly never ending supply of games have graced the console including some surprise (and perhaps ill-advised) ports of games who originally made their homes on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.   We love “The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt” (2015), but “Switcher” leans a bit too far into potato mode territory for our tastes.
Streaming tonight at 7:30 Central: We’re exploring early Switch games from 2017 including “Super Mario Odyssey” and “ARMS.” The only way to see how far the Switch has come is to start at the beginning!  Twitch.tv/lifebeginsat8bit

Games Played in 2021
It’s that time of year again! A list of every game I bought, beat, or just played in 2021! When I’m writing this exact sentence I just beat what I’m fairly certain will be my last game of the year. So now’s as good a time as any to show off a recap of what I’ve been playing!
I’m actually a little embarrassed by how much I bought this year. But hey! It’s been a tough year for me and I am a tax paying citizen! I’ll spend embarrassing amounts of money on whatever I want. List is under the read-more :)
On this list I included games I got that were presents from people which are marked as “Present”, as well as gifts I bought for others that I can still play myself (which means I bought them for a family member lol) which I marked as “Gift”. And I included games that I got for free, marked as “Free” of course. If it’s a game I bought for someone else but I can’t actually play (like, for example, a steam game) I booted it from a list. This isn’t a list to show how charitable and sexy I am it’s so show what I bought that I can actually play.
As for the “played this year” section, I only included games I played for the first time this year or had the intention of beating this year. So I won’t be including something like Smash, which I played this year, but I’ve been playing for years now. I also tried to make games I know released this year bold but I didn’t do any real research because I’m lazy.

Hoo, god DAMN that’s a lot of stuff. I’m pretty sure it’s missing things or there’s tons of repeats. It’s a sloppy list but honestly I don’t care. I’m putting myself in a vulnerable spot by showing you how irresponsible I am at spending money, so you’ll forgive me if the list is a little messy.
With getting tons of commissions for games, my friends being WAY too generous all year round, having a gaming computer for a full year for the first time ever, and also discovering game pass (which I’m not a certified shill for) I was able to play an INSANE amount of stuff this year. And I really want to thank everyone who helped contribute to this list in one way or another. IT’S YOUR FAULT!
No but seriously, I love playing games and I wanna play a bunch next year too. Hopefully by then I’ll have a better idea on how to organize these lists (or I’ll just become too embarrassed to post them. I’m honestly questioning if I should post this as we speak.) So here’s to hoping 2022 is also filled with tons of games and some much deserved good times. Have a safe new years, everyone!

Xbox 360 XBLA titles without Xbox One /Series X Support, still available to buy!
Following our latest video on the Xbox 360 store shutdown, here is the full list of Xbox Live Arcade games still up to buy on the Xbox 360. If you haven't seen the video you can watch it below.
youtube
With the Xbox 360 store closing on the 29th of July, this list baring the odd error shows all the XBLA games in the United Kingdom Xbox 360 Marketplace Shop. That don't work on Xbox One or Series X and will be lost for good at the end of the month. Some have Xbox One releases, but many are Xbox 360 exclusive. Now the final price drop event on 360 is due to happen on the 16/17th of July.
It seems unlikely any DLC will get reduced so the expensive Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends DLC you will just have to pay through the nose for! If we get time we will try to cover on Demand Games and DLCs next week.
Note at present we are still notes games not all games with extra download content on XBLA are listed correctly yet same with Xbox One versions of some games. As we discussed in our previous videos using the website to buy content is next to impossible and we are buy content via the Xbox 360 in console store.
Warning as per our previous video about the problems we had with the Rabbids Invasions Season Pass. We advice users avoid season passes on the service most are broken.
Any mistakes or omissions please do let us know. Drop us an email, comment or send us a tweet. Also let us know about any Japanese, North America or other games not available in the UK on XBLA and still up and we will add them. If you are looking for games already delisted then visit the excellent website https://delistedgames.com/ for a full list.

People have probably said this before but this 2nd fighters pass has had characters that people were speculating for the first pass but kinda forgot about. The reasoning being, all these characters were likely thought about to be base game/first DLC from Sakurai’s team, but for some reason they decided to prioritize the other characters instead.
Like, all of them except maybe Sephiroth. So the final character might fall into that format. It’s hard to think of who that might be, but a common thought is another character from companies already represented.
Sora seems like a sleeper pick
(since everyone gave up on him, and he’s probably the biggest fan fav not yet in the game). I don’t remember if Doomguy/Chief were speculated much back then, but I think Rayman was, with Rabbids+Mario being hugely relevant and the Star Fox DLC for that one game being huge. Everyone agrees Ubisoft deserves a fighter in Smash with all the respect and partnership they’ve shared with Nintendo.
I will say all of the 2nd pass characters are generally seen as underwhelming/not surprising
sans Steve. Sephiroth was surprising but being the 2nd character from the same series, it wasn’t super exciting to anyone not into FF. I think Rayman would fit this kind of character type. He would be super hype for me but I imagine for a lot of others he’d be a bit lame (especially with the expectations of the final fighter). Also Rayman would work as a mii costume, and all the other 3rd party spirits from launch that people really wanted as characters became mii costumes (Bomberman, Shantae, Akira), though 2 isn’t a pattern.
We haven’t gotten a Shovel Knight Mii costume,
and he had King, Plague, and  Specter knight spirits in base game I believe. He couuuuld be the final fighter, that’d be cool, and I think people writing off characters because they’re assist trophies is arbitrary, but he would make a great sword Mii fighter too. Would be cool if he was a deluxe Mii like Bomberman.
Other wanted 3rd party characters became Mii costumes and spirits in DLC but they were revealed at the same time, or in a close proximity to an event. It’s a tiny bit of a different situation.
Doomguy/Chief
make good Miis, but they would work great if for example, Doomguy got in and then we got a Chief Mii. They’re both Microsoft now after all. We have gotten the other Bethesda Miis that make sense, but if we look at Kazuya’s direct, the Miis were more “wanted characters that didn’t make the cut”, rather than “characters from Tekken or Capcom”. Some would argue that the Bethesda Miis point to the possibility of a Bethesda character coming, and I’d say that’s fair speculation. Even if there’s not any history of that happening before.
If we’re talking about that theory though, it’s important to point out that Ubisoft has had a few Miis too, in Rabbids and Altair.
Crash
is huge in speculation right now, and I do think he’s always been. But he’s one of those dream picks that doesn’t seem to have the biggest chance at the moment. With collaboration between Sony and Nintendo not exactly having precedent. No reason it couldn’t happen though, and it does make a lot of sense on paper with what Smash is trying to accomplish. I think out of all the western picks, he makes the most sense from the Japanese side of things too, since he’s widely known and cherished over there as well as in the states. From a quick google it says Crash is one of the biggest foreign games in Japan. “One of the most successful western video games in the Japanese market”.
We could get another Nintendo character,
as half of this fighter’s pass has consisted of Nintendo. So a Dixie and Banana Dee would track. Would be an underwhelming final character, but the consensus of the community is that final characters are always underwhelming. BUT I do think this FINAL final fighter could be an exception. Since it seems Sakurai really does see this as a special endpoint to cap off his career as the Smash guy.
