Here, you can see each of the P. G. Wodehouse titles I got. Never bought Jeeves and Wooster books before, but this should be a great read. The BBC series was hilarious, what I recall seeing when I was a kid. Always adored Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry; in fact, I already have books written by them, too. Also got a couple Jane Austen titles and a Fyodor Dostoevsky that are part of a special edition series.
Then I got a bunch of books in this gorgeous special edition collection by Chiltern Publishing. I already had Jane Eyre and a couple other titles in this series, so I hope I don't have any extra copies of anything. I don't think so, but I'll have to unbox my books to find out for sure. I'm a bit worried that I might already have a copy of Wuthering Heights....
And then these books that are more random. I already had books 1 and 2 of Parasyte, so now I also have book 3. Then I already had Baking Yesteryear by B. Dylan Hollis, but this is a signed copy! The Philip Pullman book is a collection of his essays about the writing process. The Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce is considered by some to be one of the 100 greatest masterpieces of American literature. And then Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the one book I actually went there for. 😅 Too bad they didn't have a pretty copy, but that's ok. Maybe Chiltern will release one later. 🤔
Aaaah, my 14 year old son gave me a 1945 edition of Jane Eyre with incredible Eichenberg illustrations, I’m legit choked up. I love it so much. Merry Christmas all! ❤️
👬First of all.... MUAHAHAHA I was over the moon happy to read about Josh and Caleb's special appearance and there beautiful life after GOODBYE PARADISE. 🙂😊
Okay!! Now Axel and Cax : my God these guys had such a cute insta-connection so tender relationship. It was like they were made for each other I mean come on they both have have X in there names so defs they are forever couples and Sarina is brilliant for having this idea.
Caxel.. Fit together so perfectly I completely loved them, they were likeable characters, I felt for them. And the dirty talking and sex was HAAAAAAWWWWWWWT. 🔥🤤🥵
Hello forever was really fast paced, easy read. Jason was a fascinating character hope there is a book about him.
The message which I received from this book is : You just have to be yourself, whatever you are be you and be with people who love and deserve you. 😘✨
@sarina.bowen u can do no wrong....this is her fourth book I have read and she never ever fails to amuse me, I'm in awe. thank you Miss Sarina thank you .
I'm not sure if I took pics of these already (except one I know I have before), but here are some recent book buys. From a few different sellers, like Half Price Books, Amazon, a thrift shop, and a pop-up book stall at a local coffeehouse.
I was in a mood to get some cookbooks and other books about food (and medicine) during a trip to HPB. Plus a Douglas Coupland novel I found at the Goodwill next door to the HPB. I didn't have that title of his, and I generally like his books.
I have already taken a pic of Necronomnomnom, but now I also have the Lovecraft Cocktails book to go with it.
"Bodies in the library" has got to be the most oddly specific collection of short stories I have in my collection. All of the books in this pic (below) are published by Flame Tree.
These two and the bee journal are also published by Flame Tree.
Then I found these at a little pop-up book stall just outside Buzz Mill coffeehouse. All of the titles on the red books I already had, but the little set is cute... and $20 is not bad for a set of six books. The other three books I definitely didn't have: the Hitchcock selection (a collection of short stories from various authors, hand-picked by Hitchcock), a collection of Kafka, and the Fred Mustard Stewart book.
