At first I thought you meant the "objection" voice clips and I was about to strongly disagree ESPECIALLY for Edgeworth's voice clip. You cannot expect me to believe he would eat the end of his word like that - especially with the most important word of his career. Edgeworth makes it his policy to pronounce every letter. If he could pronounce silent letters, he would.

Thank you for providing the link for reference. I haven't played dual destinies yet so the track was a surprise to me and it was a NICE SURPRISE.

The AA1 ost is overall my favourite for pure nostalgia reasons but I have always said that the objection theme from Trials and Tribulations is my favourite (the AA1 objection triplet melody is just a little bit too simple and repetitive to take the top spot for me). The way the AA3 theme calls back to AA1 with those bouncing base chords but give us a melody which is so much more interesting. And I love the effect you get when the track starts playing in-game because it starts out simple and builds itself up into something amazing. It really gives you the impression that Phoenix has matured a bit - he's a bit more quietly confident with his arguments now and he's letting things play out rather than just wildly "pointing the finger" so to speak 😉

I am so glad to find out that they chose to remaster the AA3 theme for dual destinies. The tune was already boss and the way they made it orchestral is so epic. Those strings are just incredible. The drum kit! The way those bass chords build up in a crescendo with the brass instruments accenting the last 3 notes before the melody starts again. And then there's the new "bridge" part - maybe I'm imagining things but it almost sounds like there's a tiny part of the JFA objection theme in there? Like three notes? And then of course I love how it builds all the way back up to the melody again. Just wonderful.

last film: Barbie, at the cinema! (oh my god how long ago was that. My life has been pretty busy lately). I never have the energy to watch movies at home... I need to make time for them and go to the cinema! I was pretty curious about Oppenheimer but it was a 3h movie with no break so I gave up.

currently watching: nothing, as usual, even though I got curious about Il Giovane Montalbano and watched a few episodes on TV with my mother. I think Good Omens is probably interesting but I don't think I will ever watch it by myself, I'm waiting for friends to egg me on and do a rewatch with me :D

current obsessions: ahem... probably the Netherlands... uhhh I can't stop thinking about that country for one second even though I came back like 2 weeks ago. I kept on biking everywhere, I'm trying to find sambal, sesame oil, ketjap manis and gerookte tofu, I broke my streak on Duolingo but I plan on buying a proper texbook. I also want accessible and modern public transport, a generally progressive, queer-friendly and kink-neutral public opinion, clouds in the sky, less pollution and wind. And I will miss the linzenburgers by Jumbo. The good part is that now I'm near my friends and family now but it's so so hard for me to let go; I'm still shocked I have lived in 2023 for six months and now I'm back in 1993.

How to Wire a 3-Way switch

You may be new to electrical installation but wish to wire a 3-way switch.

3 way switch wiring is harder than a single pole. It is the interconnection of two or more switches.

3-way light control helps in hallways and large rooms to turn the lights from two locations.

But it’s harder to install than a single-pole switch

Components of a three-way switch

The common

Two traveller terminals

Ground or Earth terminal.

How the 3-way switch works

A three-way switch allows you to control a light fixture like other switches, but they do this from two ends.

When the toggles from both switches are up or down, the circuit is complete and the light will be ON. When they are opposite, the circuit opens and there will be no light. This allows any of the switches to turn on or off the light.

Tools and materials required to wire a 3-way switch.  

They include:

Four in one screwdriver

Wire stripper

Plier

Voltage tester

Electrical tape

Utility knife

Materials required

Two 3-way switches

14-3 or 12-3 Romex cable.

Electrical boxes.

Note: Before any electrical installation, ensure that you power off the circuit breaker and also wear your protective glove to prevent electric shock and other hazards.

Steps to Wire 3-Way switches

There are three methods, but all depend on whether the hot wire goes to the switch first or the light fixture.

Whichever way you prefer, installing a 3-way light is easy when you follow our switch wiring procedures.

Turn off your circuit breaker

Locate the circuit breaker that controls the branch circuit and turn off the circuit’s power.

This is to prevent electrocution and other hazards during the installation.

Mount the electrical box

Locate the two places you want to mount your switch and install the metal boxes.

This may be at the entrance and inside of your room, ends of the hallway, staircase, or any place of your choice.

Feed in your cables.

Feed in a lengthy 14-3 NM Romex cable, or 12-3h if you are connecting to a 12-gauge wire. The 14-3 cable is a 14 gauge Romex cable with three insulated conductors, plus a ground wire.

The three insulated conductors are black, red, white, plus the earth wire.

Connect the wires and switches

The 3-way switch comes with 4 terminals, the black or common terminal, two brass colour or traveler terminals, and the green screw “earth terminal”.

Connect the black (hot) cable coming from the power source to the black terminal of the switch

Join the neutral or white wire from the power to the white wire from the NM cable, using a wire nut

Also join the two brown wires together

Fix the bare copper or green earth cable to the metal box and connect it to the green terminal

Connect the black and red traveler wires from the NM cable to the brass terminals on the switch.

Moving to the second switch box,

Join the two white wires

Join the two brown wires too

Connect the black wire that goes to the lamp holder to the black terminal of the switch

Fix the earth wire on the body of the switch box and connect it to the green terminal

Connect the black and red travelers from the first switch to the traveler screws or terminals of the second switch to complete the installation.

Install the lamp holder

Connect the black or hot wire from the second switch to one of the screw terminals, and the white or neutral wire to the second terminal, fix your bulb and test-run your project.

Three-Way Switch Wire Diagrams

In this section, you will see different ways you can wire a 3-way switch

3-way wiring diagram: Power to Light Fixture.

This shows how you can wire a three-way light when the power is coming from the light fixture.

From the diagram, you can see that the power source enters the fixture box

The hot or black wire connects to the common terminal of the second dimmer.

Blue and red wires link the traveler terminals for both switches

We also connected the red wire to the common terminal of the first switch, which moves back to the light.

This shows a 3-way light control when the power enters from the switch.

From the diagram, you can see that we connected the incoming live wire to the common terminal of the first switch.

We then connected the traveling terminals of the two switches with black and red wires before connecting the second common terminal to the bulb.

Note: The neutral (white) wire from the supply moved to the bulb without branching to any switch.

3-way wiring diagram: Power to the junction box.

From the above wiring, the supply enters the junction box and connects to the common terminal of the right switch.

Two Romex cables with four wires and an earth cable joined at the junction box to connect the traveler terminal of the two switches and the bulb.

Difference between three-way switches and single poles

A single pole light switch has two terminals and a ground screw while a three-way switch has 3, plus a ground screw.

The toggle switch for a single-pole has ON and OFF while the 3-ways doesn’t have.

A single-pole switch controls a ceiling light from one location while the three-way control light from two different locations.

A single pole is good for small rooms with few light sources, while a multi-way switch is for large rooms and stairwells.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it matter which wire goes where on a 3-way light switch?

Yes, the black “hot wire” from the power source must connect to each switch’s common screw terminal, to enable it to carry the current from the source to the switches and then to the light fixture.

First of all, I am super sorry for the extreme delay in posting this month' set. I have had an insane month, it felt like everything that could have happened to slow me down, did, in fact, happen. I hope it's ok with everyone & thank you so much for understanding. ♥

The circular bathtub, made of exquisite black and gold marble, took pride of place in the center of the spacious bathroom. It was a drop-in style tub, seamlessly integrated into the smooth floor. Its large size provided ample room for indulgence, allowing one to sink into the depths of relaxation.

The surrounding tiles, a rich obsidian black, adorned the walls, reflecting the gleam of the candlelight that danced throughout the space. Their glossy surface added an air of sophistication to the room, while also creating a sense of depth and mystery. It was as if the tiles held secrets within their dark embrace.

A magnificent window, framed with elegant curtains, overlooked the enchanting woods beyond. Its generous proportions allowed streams of sunlight to filter into the room, casting a warm glow upon the luxurious surroundings. Nature's artwork became an ever-changing backdrop, with dappled light and swaying branches, offering a serene connection to the outside world.

Nestled near the window, on a small table, sat the silver incense burner. It took the delicate shape of a lotus flower, its petals gracefully unfurling, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. Fragrant smoke curled upward, carrying scents of sandalwood, lavender, and other calming essences, infusing the air with tranquility.

Adjacent to the bathtub, a shelf held an assortment of bathroom amenities, neatly organized. Shampoo, conditioner, and various oils awaited their turn to pamper and nourish the body. The bottles glistened in the sunlight, their labels a promise of luxurious self-care. Black towels hung on the towel warmer, I had a large de-humidifier inside the bathroom and another one just outside the bathroom to ensure air remains dry.

On the sink in a medium sized glass jewelry casket for my rings like my diamond and fire opal ring, my brass pair of cufflinks with several myriad amber stones, a gold pendant with several myriad diamonds given to her by several exes in the past.

There was an hourglass with white sand which timed how long I was in the bath for, the light red curtain for the large window and the midnight blue walls of the bathroom. I have several small velvet purses filled with coins in case I needed them, along with a small ceramic dish held my favorite blood red lipstick along with my favourite palette of neutral eyeshadow shades and jet black liquid eyeliner.

My pair of crimson silk slippers are always outside the bathroom to put on after having a bath. I kept a hairbrush with an ivory bone handle to brush my hair before I go to bed, usually keeping it in the end table drawer beside my bed. I lived far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a large cottage surrounded by a forest behind it.

Steam rose from the scalding hot water from inside the bathtub, the warmth embraced my body as I stepped into the tub sinking further into the water. Letting it envelope me, a sigh escaped my lips as the tension left my body, the pure bliss I felt. My friend was staying over for the night, she wanted to see the place for herself and she planned on taking me to an art auction in town the next day.

Adeline was visiting for two days and planned on staying over for two nights at the very least. She wasn't too sure about me living on my own for a while, stating she was afraid something could happen to me while I lived in a secluded area. I assured her every precaution was put into place long before I moved in.

She walked into the bathroom fifteen minutes after I started bathing to tell me what she was going to do while she was here, interrupting my moment of tranquility. Adeline was a lively and inquisitive woman, always eager to explore new adventures. Her vibrant red hair and mischievous smile were a stark contrast to my own calm demeanor.

"Red, darling, have you decided what you'd like to do tomorrow?" Adeline asked, her voice echoing in the marble bathroom.

I leaned back against the edge of the tub, allowing the warm water to support my body. "I was thinking we could start the day with a visit to the art auction in town. You know how much I adore discovering new artists and their creations." she continued.

"As much as you enjoy baking that's for sure." I replied thinking about it further, "Anything you wanted to do tomorrow? I assume the auction would be held during the night,"

Adeline replied, "Well, during the day, I thought we could take a stroll through the local market. They have a wide variety of fresh produce and unique crafts. It's always a treat to explore and support local businesses. And perhaps we could grab lunch at that charming little café we passed by last time."

A few hours later, we both went to bed, Adeline stayed in the guest room with her fiancé, James. Unlike them, I have dated around since I was 18 and never found someone who captivated my heart. It came close though, timing was never right and it was often due to them falling out of love first.

Brief Personality: Atsu has a very bubbly personality, you wouldn’t really tell he is apart of a gang by the way he speaks, He’s kinda goofy, he has a tendency to tell other gang leaders about the lore of my little pony while in the middle of territory disputes. He loves hanging out with his friends and fashion and He generally tries to have a positive outlook on life.

Brief Backstory:

Atsu was born into a religious cult, he wasn’t quite sure who his birth parents were, he would be switched around from couple to couple depending on who took care of him.

He was very neglected in the cult, he didn’t have really any set of parents, just adults that would come in and out and occasionally take care of the bare essentials. He was severely neglected, nobody really taught him basic things like the alphabet or how to read for a very long time.

However. He had one friend in the cult, “The Prince”, aka the Leaders son, Uru, him and Uru got along really well, always playing together and Atsu felt very safe with Uru. He tended to follow him around wherever Uru went, which they both enjoyed. It was nice for both of them to have a break from the cult in a way.

Eventually the leaders got arrested and Atsu was sent into foster care, he didn’t really have any guardians who tried to understand him though. As a kid he had a tendency to daydream about far off lands often times not being able to get out of bed.

When he got to high school, He met his childhood friend again, they both were kinda in the same place mentally. Both shy socially awkward kids with little to no friends. They really relied on eachother. And that caused both of them to blossom into their own people.

Atsu later met his girlfriend Suka, and eventually started to become a fashion designer after finding his love for J-Fashion and also sewing plushies.

Dark Barrier Priest - CR7 Humanoid

A unique enemy humanoid that focuses on healing and shielding spells.

Healing in Pathfinder is generally extremely straightforward when used by players and extremely frustrating when used by enemies.  This is an attempt to create a different kind of enemy healer that allows players to interact with its abilities more, by using barriers that effectively telegraph who will be healed next.  It’s also an attempt to create a healer that is thematically linked to darker magic instead of only life, positive energy, and nature.

Obviously, it’s unusual for a regular humanoid elf enemy to use unique abilities that are not from a player class.  To which I say deal with it.  Conceptually, this creature is a unique oracle archetype that trades the Spellcasting feature for a unique mystery that grants some spell-like abilities in addition to revelations.

I intend to release several versions of this creature at different challenge ratings.  This is the third one, which is pretty similar to the second one except for Life Link, which it should pre-cast on all of its allies before a battle, and Sacrificial Pact, which now heals the user as well.

Mystery: Dark Barrier A dark barrier priest’s oracle mystery is the dark barrier.  It adds Disguise, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (dungeoneering), Linguistics, and Use Magic Device to its list of class skill.  A creature with the dark barrier mystery can select revelations from both the dark tapestry mystery and the life mystery.

Dark Barrier (Sp) At will, as a standard action, a dark barrier priest can grant a dark barrier to a willing creature within close range (typically 45 ft.). While the target is affected by this dark barrier, it has DR 4/— and gains 8 temporary hit points.  This barrier lasts for 1 minute.  A dark barrier priest can grant a dark barrier to up to four creatures at a time.   The dark barrier is visible but translucent.

This is considered a 2nd-level abjuration spell.  Although a spell-like ability, Dark Barrier has verbal and divine focus components.  Spell resistance applies.

Enveloping Darkness (Sp) At will, as a standard action, a dark barrier priest can grant itself a dark barrier and blast an enemy within close range (typically 45 ft.) with dark magic.  The enemy must succeed on a DC 18 Reflex saving throw or take 4d6 damage; creatures of the good subtype instead take 8d6 damage.  The save DC is Charisma-based.

While the dark barrier priest is affected by this dark barrier, it has DR 4/— and gains 8 temporary hit points. This barrier lasts for 1 minute.  A dark barrier priest can grant a dark barrier to up to four creatures at a time.   The dark barrier is visible but translucent.

This is considered a 3rd-level abjuration spell.  Although a spell-like ability, Enveloping Darkness has verbal and divine focus components.  Spell resistance applies.

Sacrificial Pact (Sp) Three times per day, as a standard action, a dark barrier priest can expend a willing creature’s dark barrier to heal the target for 3d8+8 hit points, ending the target’s dark barrier early.  The target must be affected by a dark barrier.  The target must be within close range (typically 45 ft.).  If the dark barrier priest is also affected by a dark barrier, the priest’s dark barrier also ends, and the priest is also healed for 3d8+8 hit points.  A dark barrier priest that targets itself with Sacrificial Pact is only healed once.  Both living and undead targets are healed by this ability.

This is considered a 4th-level abjuration spell.  Although a spell-like ability, Sacrificial Pact has verbal and divine focus components.  Spell resistance applies.

Oracle’s Curse: Wasting (Ex) A dark barrier priest takes a –4 penalty on Charisma-based skill checks, except for Intimidate.  It gains immunity to the sickened condition and a +4 competence bonus on saves made against disease.  These modifiers are already included in its statistics.

Revelation: Cloak of Darkness (Su) A dark barrier priest is protected by a cloak of shadowy darkness that grants it a +6 armor bonus and a +4 circumstance bonus on Stealth checks.  It can use this ability for up to 8 hours per day, in 1-hour increments.  This ability is already included in its statistics.

Revelation: Life Link (Su) As a standard action, a dark barrier priest may create a bond between itself and another creature.  Each round at the start of the dark barrier priest’s turn, if the bonded creature is wounded for 5 or more hit points below its maximum hit points, it heals 5 hit points and the dark barrier priest takes 5 hit points of damage.  A dark barrier priest may have eight bonds active at a time.  This bond continues until the bonded creature dies, the dark barrier priest dies, the distance between them exceeds medium range (180 ft.), or the dark barrier priest ends it as an immediate action (if it has multiple bonds active, it may end as many as it wants as part of the same immediate action).

Revelation: Pierce the Veil (Su) A dark barrier priest has darkvision out to 60 ft.  This is already included in its statistics.

Revelation: Safe Curing (Su) Whenever a dark barrier priest casts a spell that cures the target of hit point damage, it does not provoke attacks of opportunity for spellcasting.

Link crouched low atop Fesca's watch keeping an eye on the bridge heading toward Ul'dah. The dense foliage atop the butte was good cover and kept him well hidden. Below Zelda waited behind the butte with their chocobos Revali and Tulin. They were keeping watch for the Immortal Flames for there had been a slew of bandit attacks on caravans traveling over the bridge.

The General had asked them to do this paticular task because he knew full well the pair had keen eyes and would not be bought like the Brass Blades would. There was a thin fog coating the aea but it did not obsure their sight too much. As the evening wore on they saw a caravan riding toward the city and as soon it reached the edge of the bridge the bandits swarmed up from beneath it and attempted to surround the first wagon its chocobo shrilling in fear.

As soon as they did Link bolted forward and then snapped out the paraglider he had made and glided down aiming straight for the lead bandit in front of the prancing bird. From behind he heard the shrill warks of both chocobos and in moments he had his blue feathered menace right beside him kicking a flanking bandit as he landed slamming his shield into the Hyur he'd been aiming for's face.

Above them both was a unmistakable hum and Link and the bird closed their eyes in time for the brillant flash of Zelda's Holy spell to go off the cries of the bandits telling the pair they had not been so lucky. Link then pivoted as a few more attempted to blindly rush him and slashed at their legs with his blade dropping them before moving to make sure he had himself between the remainder of the bandits and the caravan lead.

Zelda moved to be beside him her chocobo flanking her the bird overtly on the defensive as she barked, "Throw down your arms and surrender by order of the Immortal Flames! This is your only chance!"

The bandits looked at each other and laughed as one of them sneered, "Look at the little knife ears playing heroes. Cut em down."

She looked at Link and he simply nodded and then lunged foward as the remaining bandits rushed them confident they had the advantage in numbers. A confidence that swiftly faded as the pair and their birds swiftly cut them down leaving them bleeding or unconscious on the bridge.

Once the bandits were down Zelda activated the linkshell the General had given them stating, "General, the bandit threat has been neutralized send the contingent of Flames to take them into custody."

Understood well done both of you the Sultanate is in your debt, again was the response.

Moments later a group of Flames came and dragged the injured bandits off to be tried and the bridge was cleared once more. The caravan lead thanked the pair profusely and then went upon his way with the rest of the caravan toward the city.

Once it was moved past the bridge Zelda looked at Link with a smirk and asked, "How long do you think it will take before you have some of the children of the city begging you to make them their own glider?"

Link chuckled and said softly, "Three, four days tops. Word has to get around first."

Zelda laughed and the pair mounted up and rode toward the city eager to get some well earned rest at the Hourglass.
