I am not on rednote but my partner is right now. I am, however, a history enjoyer. There is definitely a place to see that there are some people that are being naïve about the quality of life that is seen in China from the app but I also believe there is a large variety of people who are being misinterpreted when they say that the people are nice and good, and that they dont have many of our struggles in a capitalist nation, as them saying everything is amazing in China and it was all a lie. They are aware they, as someone on the app, are being watched. They made many memes about it.

It is, smart or not, a form of protest to show that they are willing to give their information to another country so that america does not have all of the power. They understand the topics that cannot be talked about because there is condsant warnings about talking about certain things and posting things.

It is why, I think, they are focusing so much on asking about American problems, they are able to talk about those bad things, but not their own bad things. In the same way that when they get on American channels through technology, they talk about how bad the government is there.

The majourity of them are just playing by the rules and sharing how good the people are and expressing that their struggles are not in fact unavoidable like they have always been taught. Showing this to those outside of the app helps bridge the gap of propoganda.

It's a quirky little one-liner he does to get a chuckle out of you. Just like the 'present for ya', 'time to get medieval on your asses', 'nighty night, knights', ect. I'm all for digging deep with analyzing stuff, but not everything has to have some deep underlying meaning, y'know?

Is it too much to ask for to someone to just WANT to text me and get to know me and love me despite me putting up every single wall possible to prevent them from doing so, but their love for shatters these walls and makes it through???
