Not to read too much into little things but the fact that Abed randomly decided to do the Delta Cubes bit in Economics of Marine Biology is like. He was totally up for actually helping to start with and I think he just needed something sillier to do without his boyfriend there. Also I can imagine him having some insecure feelings about Troy being so into PE again. Interesting that he chose a trope that sort of mocks traditionally masculine roles of the kind Troy tends to fall back into in these situations...*takes off Britta's Psychologist Glasses* Oh shit I didn't realise I was wearing these anyway how are you all doing

in s2ep7, the trampoline episode, when abed goes in to diss sharice, we see abed's "targetting system online" vision and, its cool to see all the details, like, the "projected cycles" section that's got annie and a date, and in memos, "troy's birthday in 14 days"

and then later, when he's using his vision on britta annie and shirley, we see shirley in projected cycles, and memos like "get rudolph for xmas, confirm mom fo xmas" and the current synopsis is updated as well--and the last time we see it, its got britta in projected cycles. perfect set up for the next ep, which happens to be the bottle episode

Early Troy actually knows less about sex than anyone else in the study group, including Annie. All he knows is basically what it is, that he wants something done to his butt, and that he needs to pretend he knows more than that. He learned some stuff with Britta but not very much because he just wasn't very into it. Abed has since taught him a lot though
