ikea meatballs before marriage?
contents ౨ৎ ⋆ touya todoroki x fem reader. fluff. cursing. slightly suggestive. ⭑ your fiancé and you get a little too into playing house when you’re supposed to be furniture shopping for your new apartment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“you’re home early.” touya smirks. an apron you’re ninety-nine percent sure he stole from the aisle showcasing the ovens with ‘i cook as good as i look’ printed on it is tied around his waist.
“i’m home!” you say cheerfully, playing along with him.
you take a moment to study “your” kitchen and droop in disappointment.
it was a bit too dim for your liking, the lighting.
there’s no way you could read the recipe books rei had gifted you without touya having to stand there and hold a flashlight while you did.
but the deep forest green accented cabinets, reaching all the way to the ceiling, were beautiful.
perfect for storing fuyumi’s leftover snacks that her students gifted her yesterday.
she had complained to you over the phone about how there was no space at home since all the cupboards were full of soba noodles, courtesy of your fiancé and little brother-in-law.
touya nervously watches, until he sees as you visibly brighten up, and he lets a little huff out, half in pride, half in relief.
he knew his pick couldn’t be that bad.
then you spot the fake plant hanging from overhead, and grimace as you see a cluster of even more potted plants under it near the toaster.
cute in theory, but definitely a fire hazard.
touya notices the little way your eyebrows furrow with doubt, and casually leans against the edge of the sink to distract you from making any more keen observations.
you giggle at the way he almost knocks off the price tag on it in the process, too busy staring at you to bother noticing.
“how was work?” your favorite fire hazard asks, reaching out a hand to gently brush a stray lash you didn’t notice from your cheek.
your face always feels hotter than usual when touya pulls away, even after all this time.
“ugh, so exhausting,” you fan yourself a bit, let out an exaggerated sigh. “the printer blew up and got toner all over my clothes, can you believe it?”
“aw.” there’s a playful sparkle in his eyes as touya innocently frowns in sugary sweet sympathy. “want me to run a bath for you later?”
you can feel your cheeks start to burn. you just took one with him yesterday!
but of course you find yourself stuttering out, “oh, um sure.”
the memory of his fingers softly massaging your scalp as he helped you wash your hair. the gentlest of touches on your skin as he lathered you in suds, pressing a kiss to your forehead between rinses flood back to you.
you remember trying to wash his hair one time, but he quickly stopped you by trapping you in his lap, insisting that he wanted to do yours first. like he does during every bath he runs for you when you stay over at the todoroki house.
and he would take just as good care of you, your heart knows, in your cozy new apartment that was waiting for you back in shizuoka too.
not too far from home, so that everyone could still visit, but not too close either, so the both of you had your own space.
touya grins as a shy expression suddenly crosses over your face, knowing exactly what you’re thinking about.
with amusement, he watches as you reach over to set your purse on the white marble counter.
a pair of strong hands claim their usual spot on your waist, holding you in place, and then you’re pulled away until your back bumps against a familiar, firm chest.
“uh-uh, mrs. todoroki.” he murmurs softly in your ear. “i just cleaned that for you before you got home.”
your breath catches. mrs. todoroki?
“my bad,” is all you can manage to squeak out.
his nose tickles your cheek in response and you giggle at the feeling of his piercings, cold and soothing against your warm skin.
“so. what do you want for dinner today?” touya says, leaning over you to open the fridge. he scans its empty contents with a face so serious that you have to bite back a laugh.
“what do we have?”
“stale air—i mean,” touya coughs. “uh, salad.”
“that’s it? just salad?” you point an accusatory finger at him, and he snorts at the way you force your eyebrows to scrunch together to make an angry face. so cute.
“oh, you think this is funny? take that apron off right now, you big phony.”
“yes ma’am.” he laughs airily, reaching behind him to undo the tie when his hands stop.
touya turns to you with a pout. “can you do it for me? my fingers hurt from cooking and cleaning all day.”
he makes it so hard to stay mad at him, even as a joke.
you bite your lip to suppress the fond grin growing on your face, but it's too late, touya’s already seen it and he knows you’ll give into him soon enough.
“aw, my poor husband all alone in the house, cooking air and salad. it must’ve been so hard for you.”
he pouts even more. “it really was.”
the giggle you’ve been holding back finally spills from your mouth. he was ridiculous, and you loved him for it. “okay you big baby, i’ll untie it for you.” you move to stand behind him, hands reaching for the back of his waist to untie the neat bow he did for himself earlier.
“i think you mean your big strong husband.” touya leans his weight back into you.
not enough to hurt you or make you fall, but just enough to give you a hard time undoing the knot of his apron.
“sewing machine was acting up like crazy today, had to teach it some manners.”
“i’m sure you did.” you fight back another laugh, which turns into a whine as his broad back leans into your face even more.
“touya stop it! do you want this apron off of you or not?”
you can practically hear him smirk from in front of you.
“i’m okay with anything as long as it keeps your hands on me.”
you step away from him and he lets out a ‘oof!’ as his back thuds against the hard floor of the ikea showroom, taking down a fake plant with him.
touya is donning a new apron when the two of you find yourselves outside of another kitchen showroom.
“‘relax, i’ll feed you bitches.’ it read in bold.
you giggle hysterically as he stands there, hands on his hips and looking way too proud of his find, as you snap a pic to send to the groupchat with his siblings.
i’d rather eat poison, natsuo texts back.
his message is hearted by fuyumi and shoto a few moments later.
a miffed touya reaches over your shoulder to steal your phone, which you easily let go of and surrender like usual with a laugh.
his chin rests on your head, your back pressed to his chest as he perches his upper arms on your shoulders to text back.
after he hits send with a satisfied smirk, the both of you walk onto the set.
the kitchen this time was one with a less colorful theme, yet you hear a sharp intake of breath from touya and you feel your own breath catch in your throat.
the tall windows and generous lighting more than made up for it.
framed paintings of cranes were hung on the slate gray wall behind the dining table, and the refrigerator was much, much larger than the one you saw touya open before.
familiar indigo petals catch your eye. there was a beautiful painting of rindou flowers next to the window in the kitchen, and you can’t help but stare.
“mom would love those.” touya murmurs from beside you. your fingers lace through his as you smile softly in agreement.
“she would.”
still in the second showroom, touya’s rummaging inside the cabinets while you study the spice rack.
imagine all the goodies you could fit in there, from sesame seeds to shichimi togarashi.
you drool thinking about all the miso soups and sweet potatoes you could put them on when he suddenly turns to you.
“i’ve been working on my cocktails while you were at work, by the way.” touya grins, handing you an empty, plastic wine glass from where you’re perched on the granite countertop. “wanna try?”
you raise it to your lips and take a delicate sip of nothing.
“oh yum! what’d you put in it?”
“kale juice.” he snickers behind his hand. “your favorite.”
you make a disgusted face. “well that’d explain the kick to it.”
“right? i really, really think fuyumi and natsuo would like it.”
“touya todoroki, don’t you dare.”
“hey.” he raises both hands in innocence. “a little kale never hurt anyone.”
“you say that but you hate kale.”
“a little kale never hurt anyone unless it’s me.”
you roll your eyes and wrap your arms around his neck. touya’s hands smoothly guide your legs to hug his waist, bringing you closer to him from where you’re sitting on the counter. he stays standing, towering over you.
“can’t believe i’m marrying a hypocrite.” your voice is muffled against his shoulder, and he laughs.
suddenly, you gasp and point at the sink. “touya!”
his eyes widen at your raised voice, instinctively looking behind him for bugs to kill because that’s the only time your tone would sound that alarmed.
touya hugs you closer to him protectively.
you can’t help but melt as his arms wrap even tighter around you, his serious turquoise eyes still scanning around the kitchen for any threats to you.
no bugs.
no tacky “live, laugh, love”-esque sayings framed on the wall.
which he knows is your biggest interior design pet peeve after binging an insane amount of those house flipping shows with you.
“...what is it?” touya finally asks after a moment of hesitation.
you giggle at the ticklish feeling of the cold silver of his lip piercing brushing against your forehead as he speaks.
“the dishes aren’t in alphabetical order!”
touya breathes a sigh of relief, then laughs into your neck.
he pulls away to roll his eyes at you. “you nearly gave me a fucking heart attack!”
“what, why?” you laugh, fluttering your lashes at him. so utterly adorable, that he resists the urge to bite you.
touya fights back a blush and averts his eyes from your face, remembering his protective actions. they had been purely instinctive. he reaches up to cover his face with one hand.
“touuu!” you can’t help but laugh harder, reaching up to pry his fingers away from his face. “come on, look at me!”
touya shyly slides his gaze back to you, and lets you take his hand away from his face.
you lace your fingers through his and lean in to give him a sweet kiss on the lips, which only makes him blush even harder. the chill of the ikea air conditioning did nothing to help.
his eyes trail in the direction of the spice rack you were dreamily looking at earlier.
“why is this crooked?” he frowns, reaching behind you to straighten it.
“pfft is it bothering you?” you take a glance at it. looked okay enough to you.
“yeah it is.” touya’s hands are on the shelf, trying to readjust it into the right position when suddenly—
snap!
the both of your eyes widen at the sound.
the shelf was upright and more centered than before.
except now it had a clean split down the middle of it.
of course, touya chooses to focus on the most important part.
“well at least it looks better now.”
and all he can think about as you laugh into his shoulder is that he can’t wait to stand hip to hip with you in your actual kitchen.
sunshine peeking through the curtains as the two of you make soups, bake each other’s favorite pastries, and indulge in your random middle of the night cravings.
from now until forever.
after lunch in the restaurant, touya adds ikea meatballs to his list of favorite foods.
you’re pretty sure that’s only because you fed them to him.
because while you adore him to pieces, he is an unbelievably picky eater, much to fuyumi’s chagrin.
luckily, he’ll eat anything as long as you’re the one giving it to him.
your sister-in-law thanks you for her lack of headaches when she makes dinner.
in the third kitchen showroom of today, you squint out the window behind the sink.
“i don’t know if i like it.”
“don’t know if you like what?” touya’s still washing his hand in the imaginary water under the faucet that’s clearly never going to start running. his silly self has been there for the past five minutes, at least.
you hold back a laugh at how meticulous he is about it.
“the view.”
he looks up and snorts at the wistful gaze you throw out the obviously fake window.
it had a picture of city scenery taped on the wall outside of it, and the circular shape of a familiar building catches his eye. he recognizes it.
the meguro sky garden in tokyo.
the first place he ever took you out on a date to.
with a fond twitch of his lips, he remembers the way he almost tripped over his feet under the cherry blossom trees when you had suddenly pecked him on the cheek. all those years ago.
touya turns the faucet off, and comes up behind you to lean his head on your shoulder as he wraps his arms around your waist. his eyes soften as you nuzzle against his chin.
he knows that you know he can’t feel any sensations there anymore.
but god, does touya love that you still touch him in the places where he can’t feel.
the way you litter soft kisses under his eyes, stroke his forearms as you guide them to your waist. like they’re still a part of him, like he’s not broken.
like he’s always been whole to you, never any less.
“but sweetheart,” touya muses. “think about how close it's close to the best schools.”
your face heats up as you realize what he’s talking about. like you haven’t thought about it a million times before.
a kid. with him.
his and your kid.
as if the universe read your mind, a very chubby baby being pushed in a cart passes by the opposite side of the window, covering the picture of tokyo’s scenery.
and it stares at touya and you with the judgiest look you’ve ever seen in your life.
the two of you glance sideways at each other and burst out laughing.
“nevermind,” you giggle, feeling small and safe tucked in his strong arms. “maybe the view isn’t so bad.”
looking softly down at you, the beautiful color of your eyes meets his, and his heartbeat quickens.
touya can’t help but agree.
a familiar weight softly rests on your shoulder when you groggily open your eyes, and your fiancé is close to follow as he stirs beside you.
you flip around to face him from where he was spooning you, giggling at the little trail of drool coming from the corner of his mouth as you watch his eyes flutter open.
you feel your breath catch in your throat as you gaze upon him.
his hair is starlight in the morning.
touya, still half-asleep, snuggles against you, completely drunk on your warmth. the soft feeling of your skin against his.
he doesn’t even try to resist it.
the little giddy smile that tugs at his lips whenever the cool feeling silver of your sapphire embedded ring sparkles under the sunlight pooling through the curtains of your shared bedroom as he laces his fingers through yours.
his own ring softly clinking against the one he gave you.
after moving into the privacy of the apartment, with no prying eyes or nosy siblings randomly bursting into his room, touya loves to sleep with his lips just barely grazing your neck.
whenever you wake up from a  nightmare, he’s already kissing the nape of it, the protective hand he has on your hip smoothing circles into your bare skin.
when he wakes from his, you’re already quietly cradling him in your arms, running your hands through his midnight black hair.
you really have no idea how hard you make it for him to get up.
but the idea of seeing you happily smile because of him is what gives him the final push to wriggle out of your embrace, and the adorable little pout you give him  almost breaks his heart.
“where you going, tou?”
he grins cheekily, placing a finger on his lips. “it’s a secret.”
there's a grumble from you in response and he smooths the crinkle between your furrowed brows with a gentle kiss.
“i’'ll be back soon, i promise.”
“you better or i’m eating your last pocky.”
he laughs at your threat, as if he wouldn’t give it up to you the moment you asked.
at the sight of your eyes already starting to droop, touya presses another kiss to your forehead. “go back to sleep, sweetheart.”
“no.” you pout as his socks pad against the floor when he leaves the room with another laugh.
huddled up in your floral patterned blankets, you drink in the faint scent of sweet cologne that lingers on them.
it still smells like him. warm like him, too.
there’s an old photo of touya framed on your nightstand. you love to look at when you fold his and your clothes.
rei had slipped it out of the family album for you to keep the moment she saw how much you liked it.
it’s the one where he’s holding a baby shoto like a football in his arms. there’s an easy grin on his face.
you look at it for a little longer, letting a sleepy, content smile spread across your lips.
until five more minutes pass, and you’re starting to feel impatient.
“shoto!” you call out the doorway in the direction of the guest room you set up for him the day before he came to visit. “what’s your brother doing?”
“cooking.” comes shoto’s soft voice floating down the hallway.
and that’s all it takes for you to get up and rush to the kitchen at lightning speed.
thankfully, the fire alarm hasn’t gone off yet by the time you get there.
you find touya slicing peaches on the counter, in front of the painting of rindou flowers. there’s a plate of neatly assorted fruit next to him, and your eyes widen as you admire the rose-shaped strawberries. how’d he do that?
“hey.” touya’s eyes narrow playfully when he notices you, putting down the knife. “you’re supposed to be in bed.”
you place your hands on your hips.
“and you’re supposed to not be burning our new apartment down.”
throwing a cautious glance at the unmanned pancakes sizzling in the pan beside you, you add on. “with your little brother in it.”
he breathes a laugh and saunters over where you’re standing by the fridge, cornering you to the counter.
your fiancé grins at your stammers when he leans closer. he can practically feel the heat from your cheeks from here, and touya thinks the tiny house plant overhead grows an inch taller from the sheer warmth you’re radiating.
“stove’s off, sweetheart. they’re not gonna burn.”
“o-oh.” you sigh in relief.
“you worry too much.” touya murmurs softly as holds you in place by the waist to hold up a spoonful of blueberries he forgot to add to the batter.
your lips reluctantly part to let him feed you, and his heart skips a beat at the hint of a smile on your face.
“mmph!”
suddenly, touya’s lips are on yours and you taste the sweet tartness of the peach he must’ve had before you came over.
the cold piercing of his tongue teases your mouth and he corners you even further against the cool marble of the counter to make out, just as you hear a pot start to boil and your eyes snap open.
you’re breathless as you muster all your willpower and break away from him.
“touya, the pot!”
“oops.” he glances at it, still caging you against the counter with his arms.
“forgot about that.”
“found your necklace that fell behind the bed last week.” touya says later after breakfast. you’re both sitting on cushions fuyumi and natsuo gifted you at the coffee table in front of the tv, watching ponyo as sunlight seeps into the living room.
it swings it back and forth on his finger and your eyes widen in relief.
“i was looking everywhere for that to wear to shoto’s class party!”
“i know.” he grins, and you sigh as he presses a soft kiss to your neck. of course he did.
touya reaches around your neck to securely clasp the back of the necklace’s chain, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“i think i deserve a little reward.”
you giggle, he was so cute.
“thanks touya.” you say, pressing a kiss to his cheek, and he pouts.
“not there.”
“where then?” you smooth your hands against his bedhead and he almost whines when this time, you press a kiss to his forehead. “here?”
always such a tease, and he adores you for it.
touya looks like a desperate puppy as he huffs, nudging your nose with his.
like you didn’t spoil him with kisses yesterday when he fixed the washing machine that was acting up.
you’re still not totally sure how he did it, but that was probably because you zoned out while he was explaining it to you.
too busy watching the way his forearms flexed as he fixed the pipes behind it and when he’d take whatever wrench or screwdriver he asked you to hand him from the toolbox.
finally, finally your lips find his and you kiss him, soft and sweet.
a cool breeze blows through the open window, and the both of you breathe it in, smelling dewdrops on grass from the rain last night and hints of sunshine.
touya smiles against your mouth, arms pulling you into his lap so he can taste you better.
you’re stuck with him.
from now until forever.

Hello! I've been thinking about binding some danmei novels in my native language, but I don't know where to start. I found your blog recently and find it very inspiring! I was wondering if maybe you could share with me what tools and materials would be good to get started with?
Sure!!!! So, I'm on mobile and don't have links at hand, but if you go back through my bookbinding tag, there are other replies I've got about the materials for making a book specifically. The renegade publishing blog also has resource documents that walk through the bookbinding process and include links to educational materials, etc. So for here, I'll focus on the danmei side of things!
So, a fun feature about these books is that they tend to run LONG. I've seen a number of people try to take up bookbinding in google docs, and honestly, it's doing things on hard mode. For many danmei, it's basically impossible. I think my EARLIEST earliest attempt at svsss began in gdocs, and that's not a super long novel, but gdocs was choking on it. A word processor on your desktop is going to be your best bet. Personally, i invested in a microsoft office license, because it was familiar and i could afford it. But the free parallel to that will be libre office, which does basically everything word can do, with just minor differences.
On the fancy end of bookbinding software, affinity, indesign, and microsoft publisher are also names you may hear tossed around. These can do fancier, more artistic layouts, but also come with a heavier price tag. And because i had webnovels on my radar from the start, i wanted something ROBUST. I wanted to be able to dump all of the husky and his white cat shizun into a single file and work from it. And i did eventually do that! Being able to typeset a single file rather than repeat each step across several is great, especially since i tend to tweak design choices as i go.
For danmei, you're also going to want a robust printer. I have a color laser that's been an absolute beast of a machine, but a black and white laser can get you a long ways, and monochrome designs can be very elegant. You don't want an HP brand printer, their toner subscription practices are downright predatory, but Brother and Canon are names I've seen recommended highly. You probably don't want an inkjet printer, because long books take a LOT of ink. The one exception would be if you can find an affordable ink tank printer.
And the last major thing i can think of is that if your main computer is a laptop, consider typesetting with an external mouse and keyboard! Danmei novels are split into lots of short chapters, frequently split across just as many web pages, with lots of footnotes to format, and laptops are convenient but not ergonomic. Doing too much on there is just asking for a repetitive strain injury. I've done it, but often paid for my sins in pain! And your laptop keyboard may start complaining too, I'm almost certain my first typeset of mdzs was the nail in the coffin for my last laptop's keyboard, haha
I hope that helps! Best of luck to you! Ive found binding cnovels to be EXTREMELY rewarding, even though my original reason was because these things would NEVER be licensed in english 😂 I'm delighted to see people experimenting with it for other translations in other languages, I really hope it goes well for you!!!!

First, I want to say that I adore your binds. They are stunning.
I am working on getting into book binding, but I do have some questions/things I’m struggling with that I’m hoping you might be able to help with.
I’ve designed several typesets and covers, I’ve just not yet made it to the finish line. Perfectionism is kinda kicking my butt tbh.
1. What kind of printer do you use? (And do you love it?) I’ve currently got a b&w laser printer, but I want to be able to print typesets in color, but I’m debating between an ecotank inkjet printer or a color laser printer. I’ve never had a color printer before so I don’t really have a frame of reference for what’s better.
2. My other big issue on my typesets has been figuring out the margins. I’ve been formatting my typesets in MS Word. If you use word, do you mind sharing what you set your margins at? And how much you cut off when you trim your textblocks?
I can’t seem to find the best balance between wasting space/paper and having margins that look too small.
Thank you! :)
Hiiii! Thank you for the sweet words 💖🫶🏼
For printers—I have a canon pixma ip8720 that I use for wrap covers, dust jackets, paperback covers and endsheets. I LOVE this printer so much (any of the pixmas are solid color printers) I also use off brand ink bc I can’t be bothered to spend $$ on brand name and it works like a gem.
My other printer is the canon imageclass which I love/hate. It’s a color laser printer so works like my b&w but with color (so I could do foiling on it) the quality is great but I did have issues with it once I put off brand toner and I need to clean the cartridges so I don’t fully love it 100% yet. Still a fan though for the price point. Thats what I used for my Sugar High & ‘tis the damn season typesets. Otherwise I just use my brother b&w for typesetting.
For margins I typically go for .6 on the side margins and usually .5 top and bottom for hardcover. Larger for paperbacks. I try to cut the least amount off on my guillotine but I def have cut off far too much sometimes.
Make sure your layout settings in word are for a letter sized paper and under book fold. Then update the margins and then you can upload it into book binder js to make the pdf into a signatures! (Also I would HIGHLY suggest using Blak Bindery’s macro (find them on insta) it saves me so much time with typesetting in word. (Also ALWAYS hit control A to highlight the entire doc before changing margins/page layout (have learned this the hard way hehe)
Hope this helps!

Go Astray Binding
Strap in everyone, I have binding woes galore for this one! So this next binding is @liesmyth‘s excellent work Go Astray. It’s actually two stories in a series, and the book I made contains both. If you ever want a masterclass in how to write character development through amazing sex scenes, go and read this! It’s so great, it’s one of the few stories that I love to death that IMO rivals the canon material. It’s SO well done.
Anyway, I promised woes. Before that, behold the glorious author copy that I made.
Tumblr media
This is oatmeal duo cloth, and it’s fantastic. It looks SO rich and fancy in person. The foil is sisal, which I will get to in a moment. I wanted something really clean and fancy for the cover, so I went with the “astray” theme and did a compass rose that’s off kilter. The “Astray” in the title is also off kilter, although I’m not sure if that comes across so well. It’s more evident in person, I think. The font is Cinzel, which was the closest thing to the Captive Prince font that I could find. And I wanted this to be nice and clean because when you open it:
Tumblr media
I’ve got these crazy, blood red endpapers. I LOVE the contrast between the cover and this, I think it fits with the book SO WELL and also this paper is just gorgeous. Also peep the little ribbon bookmark! The gold doesn’t go along so well with the gold in the book, but I think it’s cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you’re not interested in my tale of woe of how I got here, please feel free to skip, look at the pretty pictures again, and go about your day. If you’re interested in a lot of technical book bindy stuff (as much technical stuff as a relative beginner is capable of, I guess) then keep reading! Warning, it’s long.
Okay. Here’s where it all went wonky:
I ordered some short grain paper from Colophon. You know, as a treat. What I didn’t realize, because I am a beginner, is that 80lb paper is fucking thick. And that the Mohawk paper in eggshell finish, while a freaking gorgeous paper on its own, is fucking hell on my printer. So I had to redo about 5 signatures, cleaning the drum after every one, just to make it legible. And there are still parts that have smudges on them. I don’t know if it was the weight or the finish, but my printer absolutely cannot handle this again. I would NOT recommend this paper if you have a standard brother toner printer.
The other fun thing I realized after sewing and gluing everything together was that 150 pages of 80lb paper, while technically under the 200 pages my guillotine says it can handle, is too fucking thick to fit through the guards. Luckily I had another guillotine I could use, but if I didn’t this thing would’ve been dead in the water. While I was waiting for the opportunity to use the other guillotine I decided to make my own copy out of normal printer paper, which would fit in my cutter. And here is that, on top of the author’s copy.
Tumblr media
Yes, you’ve seen that correctly. I wanted to try and round my copy, despite not having any of the correct tools. Why? I can’t exactly say now, except I guess I thought I could? Reader, I could not. The rounding turned out extremely wonky, and as you can make out a bit in the picture, something weird happened to the bottom end of the spine (it creased? or cracked?) I’m not sure, but I think it happened because the textblock itself is twisted a bit. I had to make two cases for this thing and I don’t think the one I ended up covering works well. I measured everything like a crazy person and it still turned out too big, I think. Here’s a pic of the spine from the top and bottom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, not having any tools I just did this by hand with a normal hammer. I watched the DAS video like seven times! He did it by hand and it turned out great! (And he’s a freaking expert at book binding and had a real rounding hammer lol) I just don’t know. The gutters are weird, but I couldn’t really work out why. The crease in the bottom (second picture) is way more pronounced the further you get down, and it just doesn’t hug the book right. All in all rounding isn’t worth it for me, and I don’t particularly care for the look even when it’s done right. It helped with the swell of the signatures, for sure, but I’d rather deal with a triangle book than try and round another one. I actually really like the flat spine.
Also, you may have noticed the endpapers on this one are not quite the same as the first:
Tumblr media
Because I cut the the red papers with the correct grain (more idiot me), I didn’t have enough left over for a second copy. HOWEVER, I love this blue (blue’s my favorite color) and I love that one copy is red and the other is blue. It doesn’t hit as well as the red when you open it, I don’t think, but the SYMBOLISM! Also I messed up the cover lol
Tumblr media
I forgot to weed out just a few areas there, and as difficult as this stupid sisal HTV was to stick on I didn’t notice until there was no coming back from it. SIDE NOTE: I hate the sisal foil paper. It’s way easier to weed than the cricut, that’s for sure, but it sticks so much worse. It takes forever for it to stick (same as cricut, honestly) but it gets really gummy and it’s way harder to take it off the transfer paper than the cricut is. I am for sure not going to use this brand again, although after a little crying and begging it eventually turned out looking pretty good. Except for that “y” on the spine, lol. It’s peeking up there.
Also, if you want to see the difference between 80lb paper and 20lb paper, here you go:
Tumblr media
Same book, same amount of pages. 80lb paper is over 1/4 inch thicker. It sits so well though. It’s very nice paper.
My last note, I swear, is that this is the first book I’ve done with these dimensions. It’s about 5.5 by 8 (the rounded one is a bit smaller in all directions) and it’s great. It has a great feeling when you hold it, it was easy to cut (printed on 8.5x11 paper, cut .5 inches off of each side once bound) and as long as the books are long enough I’m probably going to make everything else I do going forward this size.
Tumblr media
Look at her. She’s beautiful. And soon she’ll get to live on her author’s bookshelf! @liesmyth, thank you so much for gracing us with this wonderful work, and I hope you enjoy!

Tim shifts universes one day from canon to one where he is completely Bruce’s wife. One day , he was the weird neighbor pseudo son and the next, he wakes up in lingerie feeling lethargic and weirdly *sticky* . Gets dressed in the most normal things in what seems to be a shared closet with Bruce (a sleek top and dress pants). Walks down to breakfast to see his two neglectful older brothers-turned-adopted children waiting for him. They call him mommy, beg for his attention with school work, and fight to sit next to him (never mind that he has two sides). He is going along with this, very confused, when Bruce Wayne comes down to breakfast and kisses the daylight out of him.
Basically, overnight, Tim turns into the young wife the husband can’t keep himself off of (or not in!) bonus points if he wakes up pregnant with what will essentially be Damian
!!!!!!! oh canon tim would be thrown for an absolute whirlwind!!!!!! his brain would make the same sound as a printer that gets a paper jam, runs out of in, and is low on toner all in one. the screeching, halting, random beeping, and just and overall inability to process anything at once.
he doesn't freak out. he reigns control of himself in enough to not freak out because there's a baby dick and a baby jason pouting and making grossed out faces as bruce's lips smile against him and kiss him deeper.
tim doesn't want to scare his baby (older?) brothers who are somehow around the same age and he also doesn't want tip this bruce off (whose body isn't as...rigid and hard as tim's bruce. there's still muscles and power in his form but it's...softer.)
tim knows what hallucinations feels like, he can identify dreamscapes, simulations always have flaws in them, and his brain is good enough to be able to recall exactly how bruce looks like before he's had his morning shave.
jason and dick squeal and whine as bruce pats them both on their head and nuzzles their rosy cheeks, purposefully scraping his stubble against their skin.
tim is the best undercover actor among the bats, there's a reason he gets put in charge of most of the operations reguarding information gathering.
so its easy for tim to take cues from the conversation around him and the way everyone is acting even if its giving him whiplash to interact with such...friendly versions of his family.
tim manages to establish several things.
this baby dick and jay both view him in some kind of maternal light. they were both adopted when they were toddlers, bruce and tim are the only parents they've ever known.
bruce and tim are married and tim isn't just their neighbor that's banging their dad and eating breakfast with them.
tim is a housewife and bruce is a...trauma surgeon?
tim muffles the surprise down at that revelation. bruce...a surgeon. a doctor. tim's brain can't comprehend the idea of there being a world where bruce isn't batman.
a world....where bruce isn't batman.
tim manages to catch himself before he freezes while chewing on a bit of toast and eggs.
a world where bruce isn't batman. tim knows this isn't a hallucination, a constructed world, a dream, or some kind of advanced simulation. he's been trained to spot all the tells and as far as he can tell his surroundings are either really good fakes or they're...real.
and tim knows that no matter his secret...yearnings- even he isn't creative enough to come up with a world like this.
which leaves him with one other option.
that this isn't his world.
tim knows alternate universes exist. he knows they're dangerous and he knows that should he ever come into contact with one he was to report it to the closest justice league member.
tim tries. after breakfast. after he shoos bruce off to work and receives a million kisses in return for making bruce a thermos of coffee 'just how he likes' which was really a coffee made just how tim likes.
(tim finds it's not hard to fake the kisses he presses back to bruce, his body almost melting into the strong hands gripping his hips- tim chooses to not explore what that might mean.)
baby dick and baby jason are distracted by cartoons while tim puts on his detective hat and starts digging through bruce's office.
the grandfather clock in his office is just a normal clock. no secret entrance. no secret entrance means no cave and no batman.
bruce's desk is meticulously organized...organized in the way that tim has his desk organized. there's a daily planner and schedule on a big calendar with tim's handwriting. tim finds a little book plotting out activities, meals, appointments, and events as far as 3 months into the future.
nice to know that tim's anal retentiveness transcends universes.
tim also finds a laptop with a sticky note of what the password is.
'brucentim4evr'
it'd be embarrassing if it weren't so... sweet.
several searches bring up...nothing. nothing that will help tim.
hal jordan is a commercial pilot for a major airline. his photo is posted on the website. there's grey coloring his temples and no stress lines on his forehead. he's smiling.
clark kent is a high school science teacher in smallville. there's a small article in the town newspaper about the winner of his annual soda bottle rocket contest. the winner got a homemade pie prepared by his blue ribbon-state fair winning mother. tim scours clark a little more and finds his birth certificate, medical records which contain his vaccination dates, and the diagnosis of his diabetes from when he was four.
diana prince is nowhere on the internet until tim starts checking other years and finds a death certificate for 1988. her great great grandaughter was just born in a hospital in mykonos. 11 lbs 3 oz. "a nice, strong girl' according to diana's granddaughter's facebook post.
tim's eyes linger on the picture of a pinched little face curled close to her mother's chest. his eyes water with emotion for some reason.
barry allen is an anchorman for a local news station in central city and is famously married to his co-anchor.
arthur curry does not exist. thomas curry died of liver failure while in hospice. he never had a son. only a daughter that works as a real estate agent.
j'onn j'onzz similarly does not exist. the only thing about martians tim can find is about conspiracy theories and a cartoon character named 'marvin the martian' that tim can't help but think j'onn would find amusing.
tim had hoped he would find some information that would help get home. but without the bat cave and without the justice league he's...stranded.
with some reluctance tim tries looking into his only other options.
lex luthor is a scientist but not the gene-manipulating, fusion reactor building kind that tim is used to. he's an environmental scientist and currently in Antarctica with a team of researchers studying rising sea levels and ice caps.
tim finds nothing on ra's. knowing that wonderwoman was dead in this universe certainly didn't instill confidence. but tim is only certain he will find nothing when he uses google earth to see that nanda parbat is now bulldozed over with an urban city built on top.
other technologically inclined villains yield similar results.
they're all either dead or...living surprisingly mundane and average lives.
tim's investigation yields him few results. it doesn't leave him with any kind of certainty or hope and it definitely doesn't lend him any answers.
tim knows he had not been messing with universe shifting technology.
given the way he awoke in this universe he knows this tim had not been either.
tim...with the resources he has on hand, cannot fix the problem he's in himself. there is just no way for him to be able to get in contact with his universe because the more he looks, the more it seems that the technology to do so does not exist.
and even if it did....
tim's a mother. he's a wife. he has duties and obligations that he can't just abandon without arousing suspicion. and he can't up and disappear without anyone noticing either.
maybe in his world he could. or any kind of world with a batman.
but tim is in the kind of world where he...matters to his family.
and this family. this picturesque mommy and daddy with their two sons family. they have nothing to do with this universe displacement that has affected them and tim shouldn't be causing them undue pain because that's what will happen if he goes and tell them he's not their mom or their wife.
they'd be worried sick about their real mommy and real wife, asking questions tim can't answer.
tim's survival training is telling him one thing. and it's to stay put. if you're in a snowstorm, stranded in the middle of the ocean, or floating unattached in space- stay put. the worst thing you could do is pick a direction and start marching when, for all you know, you could be getting more lost.
tim needs to stay put.
stay put and wait.
it could be just one of those things that fixes itself.
if he's lucky it's a one to one switch and currently there's a housewife and mother tim that's waking up confused and concerned about why his children are older than him and why his husband dresses like a bat.
tim knows he and his family have been going through a bit of a rough patch but he hopes they'll have enough sense to not threaten or frighten other tim and just put forth all their efforts to getting the right tim back.
tim's pretty sure bruce would be upset enough at losing one of his best soldiers to throw all he can at getting tim back.
he hopes.
---
i imagine that tim plays mom and wife for several weeks and is surprised at how good he is at it and how much he likes it. it's awkward at first coming to terms with the fact that he's now jason and dick's mom.
tim chooses to ignore how he's fucking bruce on a nightly basis now and how he should probably feel some kind of way about it. but tim doesn't mind having to sleep with bruce (he's run honeypots behind batman's back since he was 14).
bruce is concerned about tim because he can sense something off about his darling wife but he trusts that tim will come to him when he wants to confide.
he thinks he gets his answer a few weeks later when tim accidentally reveals he's pregnant thinking this bruce already knows. tim went digging through more of this tim's things and found the pregnancy test and a small list of girl and boy baby names. this tim is hoping for a girl but tim spots the name 'damian' at the top of the list and just...knows.
somehow the hardest part of being in the universe is having the realization that he's carrying his own younger brother with whom he's never gotten along. despite that, a wave of emotion floods tim when he finds that little list.
bruce is ecstatic to find out tim is pregnant. jason and dick are excited to find out they'll be big brothers.
meanwhile other tim is mothering the stuffing out of tim's family. they figured it out pretty quickly when the hospital called the manor and told them that tim was there with a suspected psychotic break.
they go because that phone call didn't bode well and last they heard tim was in his apartment in the city. they arrive to the hospital and find tim chatting with nurses and doctors, talking to them like he knows them.
they're informed that tim arrived frazzled and concerned looking for his husband. the nurses were able to calm him down and he started speaking to a few of them having seemingly recognized them.
tim lights up at the sight of bruce but his expression drops just as quickly when he spots dick.
tim goes through a breakdown in the car and by the time they arrive they know that they're dealing with a tim from an alternate universe but one...inhabiting his body which makes things....difficult.
tim is comforted by alfred who he latches onto and they choose to ignore tim's words muffled into his coat about how he's missed alfred and hoped he was enjoying his retirement.
this tim is frightened by them and weary. it's several days before he goes near them. surprisingly he clings to damian.
bruce stumbles across the sight of tim kneeling beside damian, desperatly trying to get his attention while damian ignores him. tim bribes him with cookies, hot chocolates, and interested noises about the books, shows, and video games he's playing.
by the end of the week damian has gone from hostile, to indifferent, to sitting at the island counter in the kitchen and quietly watching while not-tim helped alfred with cooking.
not-tim has been around for only a week but he's swiftly won alfred over with his homemaking skills.
this tim is not shy about making his affections known and about telling them about what his world is like.
bruce has to sit quietly in his office for several hours when he learns of his life in that other universe. he never like interdimensional cases for a reason.
both jason and dick learn that tim isn't unnerved by them because he's afraid but because he's shocked to see his previously elementary-aged children...older than him.
but a few days later and he takes it in stride, apparently falling back into normal motherly scolding.
both dick and jason try to desperatly hide how much they like when tim smiles at them so sweetly and stands on his toes to pink their cheeks or tug on their ears with a scold on his lips.
in the span of a few days jason learns that he has a several new favorite breakfast food, likes wearing ironed socks, and that he hates black olives in every universe.
dick learns that he's mildly lactose intolerant (and that he loves brown sugar oat milk), that the name of that one pastry he had in france but could never find the name of is a gâteau basque, and that he likes having someone call him 'dickie' in that loving way that goosebumps pop along his back and neck.
bruce learns that tim loves him. that this tim loves him and considers bruce his husband in every universe. bruce learns that he is a weak man and when given temptation he gives in. bruce learns he likes the soft sounds tim makes when he bends him in half and pounds into his cunt with a ferocity that would have anyone tapping out. he learns he likes the looks of tim's pink, full lips as they wrap around his cock and suck until he reaches the root of his cock. he learns that tim's tits are the prettiest he's ever seen and fit perfectly in his mouth. he learns that he loves sex more than he ever thought he did. he learns that he can fall asleep right after and that no nightmares will follow him.
he learns that sometimes a new injury will keep his teetering on the edge of unconsciousness with the flashes of pain that will ripp through him.
he learns this tim misses his husband and his babies. he leans he cries for them every night with shaking sobs that are so quiet he can barely hear them as he curls on the pillow beside bruce when he thinks he's asleep.
he learns that even though this tim will love him and his family.
it is not their love to take.
the next day bruce calls in numerous favors.
by the end of the week they have their tim back.
it's their tim.
their tim who is tensed and awkward and hesitant around them.
but he's also a tim who will hand damian a little bag of chocolate-covered almonds out of nowhere.
who will instinctively bake a french custardy cake for dick when he has a hard day.
who will lean over a couch and kiss jason's forehead seemingly without thinking.
and who will enter bruce's room at night, stumble to a stop at the sight of him and then duck back out.
it's their tim.
but a tim who has been...softened. who talks sweeter and who floats around them with a quiet and watchful sort of care.
it's their tim.
their tim.

"Expert Printer Repair in Dubai: Fast, Reliable Service for All Brands"
In today’s fast-paced business world, a malfunctioning printer can disrupt your operations, causing delays and frustration. Whether you run a small office or a large enterprise, printers are essential tools for smooth day-to-day activities. However, like any piece of equipment, printers can break down, requiring immediate attention. This is where expert printer repair in Dubai come into play.
When your printer stops working, the first question on your mind is likely, “Who can fix this quickly and efficiently?” In a city as dynamic as Dubai, having access to reliable, fast printer repair services is essential. This blog explores the importance of professional printer repair in Dubai and how to choose the right service provider to keep your business running smoothly
Tumblr media
Why Expert Printer Repair in Dubai Is Essential
Printers, especially those used in businesses, are complex machines with multiple moving parts. They are subject to wear and tear, paper jams, connectivity issues, and hardware malfunctions. Even small issues can escalate if not addressed promptly, leading to further downtime and costly repairs. Here’s why professional printer repair in Dubai is crucial:
Cost Efficiency: Regular maintenance and expert repairs can save you from costly replacements. Instead of purchasing a new printer, a qualified technician can diagnose the issue and fix it at a fraction of the cost, extending the lifespan of your device.
Minimize Downtime: A malfunctioning printer can halt productivity in a busy office environment. Quick and professional repair services in Dubai ensure that your printer is back up and running in no time, minimizing disruption to your business.
Specialized Knowledge: Printers come in various brands and models, each with its own set of unique features. Professional technicians in Dubai are trained to handle a wide range of printer brands, including HP, Canon, Epson, and Brother, ensuring that your specific model gets the care it needs.
Avoid DIY Hassles: While some minor printer issues may seem fixable through online tutorials, attempting to repair a printer without the necessary expertise can worsen the problem. By relying on expert services for printer repair in Dubai, you eliminate the risk of causing additional damage.
Common Printer Issues That Require Expert Repair
Printers can suffer from a wide range of technical problems. Some of the most common issues that require professional printer repair in Dubai include:
Paper Jams: One of the most frequent problems, paper jams can be caused by a variety of factors, from improper loading to worn-out rollers. Expert technicians can quickly identify the root cause and resolve the issue.
Print Quality Issues: Faded prints, streaks, or smudges are often the result of clogged printheads, low toner, or faulty hardware. A professional repair service can restore print quality and ensure your documents look sharp and professional.
Connectivity Problems: Many modern printers are equipped with wireless or network printing capabilities. If your printer is having trouble connecting to the network or devices, expert technicians can troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Error Codes: Printers often display error codes when there is an internal malfunction. While some error codes can be resolved by following the manual, others require specialized knowledge to interpret and address.
Hardware Failure: Over time, essential components like rollers, motors, and sensors may wear out or break. An expert technician can replace these parts with genuine components, restoring your printer’s functionality.
Choosing the Right Printer Repair Service in Dubai
With so many options available, selecting the right printer repair service in Dubai can be challenging. However, by focusing on a few key factors, you can ensure you’re choosing a reliable and professional service provider.
Experience and Expertise: Look for a repair service with years of experience in handling different printer brands and models. An experienced technician is more likely to accurately diagnose and repair your printer in a timely manner.
Quick Turnaround Time: Downtime is costly for any business, so choose a service provider that offers fast response times. Many printer repair companies in Dubai offer same-day service, ensuring that your printer is fixed as quickly as possible.
Genuine Parts: When parts need to be replaced, make sure the service provider uses genuine components that are compatible with your printer. Using counterfeit or low-quality parts can lead to more frequent breakdowns in the future.
On-Site Support: Depending on the size and complexity of your printer, it may not be feasible to bring it into a repair shop. Look for a company that offers on-site repair services, sending technicians directly to your location for added convenience.
Warranty on Repairs: A reputable printer repair service in Dubai will offer a warranty on their repairs, giving you peace of mind that the problem won’t resurface shortly after the repair is completed.
Preventive Maintenance for Your Printer
While expert repair services are available for when things go wrong, preventive maintenance can help you avoid frequent breakdowns. Here are a few tips to keep your printer in top condition:
Regular Cleaning: Dust and debris can accumulate in your printer over time, leading to malfunctions. Regular cleaning of both the interior and exterior can prevent issues like paper jams and poor print quality.
Use Quality Supplies: Using the right type of paper and ink or toner cartridges recommended by the manufacturer can prevent a host of problems, from jams to poor-quality prints.
Monitor Ink and Toner Levels: Running out of ink or toner in the middle of a print job can damage your printer. Make it a habit to regularly check and replace cartridges before they run dry.
Keep Software Updated: Manufacturers frequently release updates to improve printer performance and fix bugs. Make sure your printer’s firmware and drivers are up to date.
Schedule Professional Inspections: Regular check-ups by a professional can identify potential issues before they become major problems. Many printer repair services in Dubai offer preventive maintenance plans to keep your printer in optimal condition.
Conclusion
In a fast-paced city like Dubai, where time is money, having access to expert printer repair services is essential for keeping your business operations running smoothly. Whether your printer is experiencing a minor glitch or a major hardware failure, choosing a reliable, experienced service provider can save you time, money, and headaches.
By opting for expert printer repair in Dubai, you ensure that your printer is restored to its peak performance quickly and efficiently. So, the next time your printer malfunctions, don’t delay—reach out to a professional repair service and get your printer back up and running in no time.

Best-selling printers in Dubai: Quality, price, and customer service compared.
Finding a suitable seller of printers in a bustling metropolis like Dubai, with its teeming businesses and high technology, has turned out to be one of the important steps toward the effective fulfillment of your printing needs. Be it a home office or big commercial setup; finding the best printer seller in Dubai will surely make a difference. Here, we will explore how to compare the quality, prices, and customer service of different printer sellers in Dubai and, therefore, make an informed decision.
Tumblr media
1. Quality of Products
The quality of the product should be the main criteria when choosing a printer seller in Dubai. Usually, the best printer sellers in Dubai deal in various renowned brands such as HP, Canon, Epson, and Brother; all these are known to be very dependable and efficient. Here is how you could judge the quality of the product:
Brand reputation: The reputation of reputed brands whose products have good reviews assures you of better quality printing and durability. Product range: A good number of inkjet, laser, and multi-function printers would mean that the seller appeals to the varying needs and preferences of the people. Warranty and support: A quality seller of printers in Dubai would be considerate enough even to provide a warranty on their products along with after-sales support so that you are not left alone if problems persist. 2. Price Comparisons
Though the pricing factor is important, in the case of selecting a seller in Dubai where to buy a printer, it should not be solely the deciding factor. While the deal is to be scouted, the price needs to reflect accordingly to the value of quality and the seller's reputation. Here goes the approach on pricing:
Market comparison: Avail best competitive prices from different sellers of printers in Dubai. Do not just consider the on-site price but all other costs which may arise post-sales, such as maintenance or consumables.
Promotions and Discounts: Most of the sellers of printers do run some sort of promotion, discounted rates for bulk purchases, or seasonal sales from time to time. Be on the lookout to get full value for money.
Cost of Ownership: Consider long-term expenses such as ink or toner cartridges and paper. Some sellers have packages available that include these necessities, which often bring in more value for money.
3. Evaluating Customer Service
Good customer service is the signature of one of the best sellers of printers in Dubai. The quality of attention before and after sales will go a long way to general satisfaction. Here is what you may look out for:
Pre-sales support: A good retailer of printers will have useful advice and support that will guide you on how to choose a printer best suited for your needs. He should answer all your queries, recommend, and explain many features of the various models to you.
After-sales support: The after-sales support; whether the seller has full after-sales support, installing, troubleshooting, and repair services. Reliable customer service is vital to help you solve any problem affecting your printer.
Customer Reviews: Reading through the different customer reviews and testimonials left by customers would be ideal for understanding the different levels of service associated with various sellers of printers in Dubai. Great services will be stated with positive responses from past customers.
Delivery and installation: Most of the sellers have delivery and installation services, where you do not have to hustle to get it to where you want it installed.
Trade-in options: Some sellers have trade-in options whereby you exchange your old printer for a discount on a new model.
Customized Solution: If the companies have specific requirements, then find those sellers who offer a personalized solution and assistance on large volume printing needs.
Conclusion
The best printer seller in Dubai will be determined by the product quality, price comparison, and customer service. The moment you give importance to all these aspects then you are bound to find a seller which caters to your requirements and provides good value. Buying from a reputable printer seller in Dubai will give you assurance of quality, whether you are buying printers for personal use or for your business, and support whenever you need it. Do research and comparisons so that you make a well-informed decision which will prove to be beneficial in the long run.

Hi! I was wondering how you go about printing works for binding? I really enjoy book binding as a hobby, but I've only ever done blank journals/notebooks. If you have any tutorials or starting points for me to do my own research into binding printed works, that would be greatly appreciated! I love your work and I hope you have a great day!
Totally!!! So, I don't have too many specific tutorials for you. But the digital side of what you're Iooking to do is called typesetting, and I have this post by armoredsuperheavy, which is where I got started. My approach evolved organically from there (for example, i no longer do anything with coloring text), but it's a pretty good foundation for harvesting and formatting your work. It emphasizes microsoft word, but libreoffice is a free tool that will do almost anything word can. A lot of what i absorbed and ways i evolved came from hanging with the renegadepublishing crowd on discord, and they have more resources for other tools too, but I've been comfortably in my word groove from the start, so i don't know those well. I think das bookbinding on youtube may have some resources too? But I'm also not familiar.
Before i mention printing your own material, a sideways less-known option is to purchase a book "in sheets" and do your own binding work with the printed pages! It used to be a pretty standard way to buy a book, but is a lot less common now. I know this australian store recently went up offering books in sheets, and shipping rates out of the country are apparently decent, but i haven't purchased anything myself yet.
And then there's printing books yourself. I already had a good workhorse prinyer when i came to this hobby, so I've done my printing at home, but i know some people have also paid for printing at staples or at libraries, or some have used nearby universities. Again, it's an area I'm not super familiar with, but i know there sre options. And if you're in a place where you want to shop for a printer, NOT HP. Hp's ink/toner practices are downright predatory. Brother and Canon are both better brands. And laser or ink tank printing is more economical than toner cartridges. I have a color laser duplex printer, a canon mfc 644 cdw that i like a lot. But it would have been a hefty investment if I'd had to buy outright, so there are options before reaching that point!

What is a Monochrome Laser Printer?
Introduction
Good printing solutions are needed now. Among the various types of printers available, monochrome laser printers have carved a niche for themselves due to their speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness. But what exactly is a monochrome laser printer, and how can it benefit you? This comprehensive guide will delve into the specifics of monochrome laser printers, their advantages, applications, and provide answers to frequently asked questions to help you make an informed decision.
What is a Monochrome Laser Printer?
Definition
A monochrome laser printer is a type of printer that uses laser technology to produce black-and-white (monochrome) documents. Unlike color printers, which use multiple cartridges to print in various colors, monochrome laser printers use a single cartridge filled with black toner.
How It Works
Monochrome laser printers operate by projecting a laser beam onto a photoconductor drum, which creates an electrostatic image of the page to be printed. The drum transfers the printing particles to paper.
Benefits of Monochrome Laser Printers
Speed and Efficiency
One of the primary advantages of monochrome laser printers is their speed. These printers are capable of producing high volumes of documents quickly, making them ideal for busy office environments where time is of the essence.
Cost-Effectiveness
Monochrome laser printers are more cost-effective than their color counterparts, both in terms of initial investment and ongoing operational costs. The toner cartridges used in these printers last longer and are generally cheaper than color cartridges, leading to significant savings over time.
High-Quality Prints
