Satan Demon Form Redesign 💚🔥
[More Info Below / Demon Form Redesigns ]
Preliminary Thoughts / Word Salad
DISCLAIMER: NO CHARACTER DESIGN IS PERFECT! I designed these with my tastes in mind (these are purely subjective). I did not make these to insult the developers and their hard work. I also didn’t make these to fight with other people in the fandom (let me be a freak in peace)!
While I’m a fan of Satan, I personally dislike his demon form. A lot. His canon form seems… rushed? An afterthought? There are parts that I like (the weird rib cage ribbon is interesting to me), but most of it is… eh??? Anyways I think he deserved better, at least in some aspects of visual design. While most of Beel’s redesign were additions to his existing form, most of Satan’s are changes.
Satan’s visual design centers around opposing Lucifer in every possible way. Be it bright color palettes or asymmetry, he dresses in a way to visually solidify a unique identity for himself. Also, asymmetry, at least in my perspective, plays a lot into concepts of ‘imperfection’ and ‘incompletion’ and I think it works in showing his perception of self / forming an identity outside of Lucifer (later lessons hint that Satan feels like an inadequate copy of him). Anyway, those are the main focuses of this design. I’m grasping at straws and I feel like I’m going insane. <3
[ I’m monologuing too much. Onto the actual redesign.]
Redesign Info
With this redesign, there are two components.
----
The first form is a dormant one, with black gradients covering the limbs of the body (soot-like) and smoke coming out of arms and hooves legs.
Summary Info / HCs
Smoke erupting from limbs (can also emerge from eyes and mouth)
Black gradients on arms + legs
Detached / Suspended hooves feet (Wanted to make him seem ‘incomplete’)
Black sclera + Greener eyes
Cracks in horns
----
The second form is an ignited version of the first, with flames replacing the smoke.
He usually reaches this form when he’s pushed to a certain edge. The first form is a warning and the second form is the final outcome to most scenarios / gags.
Summary Info / HCs
Fire erupting from limbs (can also emerge from eyes and mouth)
Glowing veins + Transparent skin (parts of the bone can be also seen underneath)
Glowing Eyes + Mouth
Flames crack through the skin like molten lava on dark rock (Shows in cracks in horns as well)
The stronger / longer he burns, the more parts of his body turn to ash / detach. If it’s too much, all that’s left is a crooked black skeleton on fire :D
He’ll slowly recover overtime if he goes over the line
Will his outfit burn off when he ignites??? (only when I want it to)
----
Outfit
Portions are mostly mish-mashed from his different canon outfits: Outfit cropping like his butler outfit, Satan (™) coat draping like his casual / human world, button-up from his TSL, etc.
Lots of the implementations of the outfit take inspiration directly from his canon demon form. Gold patterning is taken from his belt, metal harness? taken from his ribcage bow concept, etc
Tried to implement the boa / fluff / feathers into the coat. I could never form an outfit and keep the boa. It drives me nuts
----
Additional Undrawn Concepts
More detached / suspended portions of his body
The smoke that comes out of his body can materialize into weapons? Hazardous objects?
If he blows himself up too much he just turns to ashes. Slowly reforms over time.
Transparent skin goes a bit farther and you can maybe see his rib cage / organs? Maybe take it a step further and instead of the ribcage ribbon it’s an open top with a distorted rib cage popping out?
----

Settling Back In
I know I have been quiet for a very long time. Fortunately, I have been quiet because I have been growing and learning. I don't mean to leave these places for so long and I would very much like to remain active on here.
After moving away from my family home, I found it very hard to deal with a lot of the emotions and feelings that brought up. I kept struggling through them and I felt pretty miserable. However, I have started working with a wonderful therapist and I am very happy to have that support in my life. I have tried so hard to get things back in order and discover why I behave the way that I do. I have started understanding my own patterns and behaviors and that is good; the more I understand myself the more I can begin to train those patterns to help me achieve goals.
Some of you are probably interested in the progress I have made on Tribes of Orsinium. I haven't made any progress since last time I posted about it, I want to be disappointed about that, but I don't think that would be healthy or helpful. I will pick development back up when I am ready to pick development back up.
I have been honing my craft while studying at University, and I must say I am becoming a much better game designer and I am finding the things that make me tick as a creator. Aesthetics are the cornerstone of my development process. I use aesthetics to create gameplay features, not the other way around. It makes me a very powerful communicator, but it makes the implementation of my ideas more difficult. I create using my strong feelings, I experience incredible highs and terrible lows, but it gives me a unique and very visceral perspective on the process of creation; my love bleeds through my craft.
My professor is extremely interesting to talk to. He reminds me that there is a such a thing as a civil disagreement. I never experienced that in my families home, but with him, I know I don't agree with everything he says, but I am never made to feel lesser for that opinion. It is helping me grow my understanding of my own modes of design and I am developing a unique voice.
I appreciate anyone who has made it to the bottom of the wall here. I appreciate you for reading through and I appreciate even if you didn't make it all the way down. Find what you love and chase it, please.
Ever determined,
-Victoria

Pc Games With Character Creation Offline
Games With Character Customization Pc
Steam Games With Character Creation
One of the things I love most in a RPG (Role-Playing Game) is the possibility of creating my own character with tons of different options and add-ons. I made a research yesterday and found some interesting PC Games I already knew about, adding them to the titles I have or plan to get with the best Character Customization. I’m going to list them here for you guys also attaching a few videos so that you can see directly how they work and what kind of possibilities they offer.
It’s the main reason I enjoy games like Skyrim and Fallout. But there seem to be so few good (single player) games with decent character creation - and not just picking from a few presets. The character creation in Dragon Age: inquisition was amazing (although I struggled to enjoy the game) as well as Saints Row (which I really enjoyed). Addicting Offline Co-op Games For PC You’ll Want To Play. Dennis Patrick / Features / Best Co-op PC Games, Co-op, Cooperative. Sonic the Hedgehog is a staple video game character. Best MMORPG with Character Creation. Final Fantasy 14 has one of the most complex and sophisticated character editors. In this game, you can change the smallest details using different sliders, pick a unique voice, or add unique tattoos, accessories and facial paint. What Are Best RPGs With Character Creation? Role-playing games let us live out some of our greatest fantasies like slaying dragons, saving the world and owning a house. Whether your main character is dead, alive, or somewhere in between, these games will let you adjust your appearance and abilities to however you see fit. I've always loved games that give you the option to create your character before you start in the world. I enjoy the game even more when it has role playing or social aspects added to it, allowing you interact with NPCs, or other players if the game has a multiplayer feature. Just character creation would interest me enough to check any game out.
Follow me under the cut if you’re curious!
I’ve been introduced to this type of creation with a game I still keep in my heart and consider one of the best of all times; The Sims 2. Seriously, I’ve created so many 3D characters that if I could win an award I’d have 200 on my shelf by now.
With that said, here you are my personal list of PC games with their awesome customization in no particular order:
I tried this game myself (the free beta that is) a few times in the past and I swear the CC included in it is currently one of my favorite. Without the complete pack I probably didn’t have a lot of additional options available in terms of clothes, makeup and hair, but what truly mesmerized me at the time was the shaping tool, not yet common in games when they released EVE. You can grab and drag different parts of the head and body, modeling unique characters every time.

2. Black Desert Online
This game has been released recently with two different packages and it seems to be quite a popular MMORPG (Massive(ly) Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) in Russia and Korea. I’m not surprised considering the quality this game seems to have and its customization is clearly no less. Just like EVE Online, Black Desert offers a good sculpt instrument to shape faces and bodies as much as you like, plus a beautiful variety of colors and combinations.
UPDATE: The game is also available on Steam!
This patch lets you play Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks with mostly non-touch based controls. The new control bindings are Control Bindings: D-Pad=Run Y+Dpad=Walk B=Wide slash B+Dpad=Long slash Y+B=Spin Attack A=Interact A+Dpad=Roll. Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks D-Pad Patch This patch implements non-touchscreen controls for essential actions in Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. Legend of zelda spirit tracks xenophobia patched rom.
3. Blade&Soul
This is another Asian MMORPG with the classical ‘Anime’ style, you cannot freely reshape the character’s structure, only pick one of the available presets and play around with the sliders to modify the whole body. Andy mckinney molly hatchet. Still, I honestly like the bright colors, the races/classes and the fact that you can actually recreate other existing characters using additional content (just like this guy did with Cloud from Final Fantasy VII).
4. BLESS Online
Yes, another Asian online title. Hey, it’s not my fault if they look so pretty! Bless is quite recent and not yet released in its final stage, but judging by how the CC works you have as much freedom as in EVE or Black Desert and the same unmistakable Fantasy touch.
5. The Sims 4
Didn’t I mention The Sims 2? Well, looks like the latest title in the series has improved quite a lot in this area. The shaping/sculpting method is here as well, considering that we finally have more possibilities I certainly won’t complain!
Note: In this video I can see the woman has a few mods installed. If you decide to get this game (or even the previous chapters) I definitely suggest you to do the same if you don’t like the default character design.
6. Fallout 4
Another recent (and quite famous) game. Apparently you can only work on the face here, but once again we see the sculpt tool in action. Even if the hair options are a bit limited you can still customize your character and create unique features playing around with your cursor.
7. Dragon Age: Inquisition
Who knows me is well aware of the fact that I am completely OBSESSED with this game, thus I couldn’t really leave it out. The hair options are definitely questionable and just like in Fallout 4 you do not have any body morph nor slider to alter, but as you can see from this video example you are still able to personalize your Inquisitor in a good way, also using real people or other characters as reference. To be honest I like some of the default presets too, if you don’t like spending two hours working on a face (I do that all the time, but I am a basket case so please ignore my madness :P), you can pick those and get a good result nonetheless.
And don’t forget about mods! 😉
8. Skyrim (The Elder Scrolls V)
This one has been around for a very long time and it remains probably the top 1 Fantasy game out there. If you’re not into mods at all and want to keep your game vanilla be sure that the overall quality is not as improved as the current generation, you can see that from the low-res hair and general textures. The reason why I’m including this CC in the list anyway is because even if old, Skyrim looks quite good compared to other games where you only get 3/4 slider options.
9. APB Reloaded
The last game I’d like to mention (and I literally just discovered it) is this not so new title which has a kick-ass Character Creator. Not only it shows some quality graphics there, but the level of customization is unbelievable! You can make hair shorter, beards longer, create beautiful tattoos (and place or rotate them wherever you want!), add patterns to clothes and even get your personal car! 😀

There are of course many other games with a Character Creator, but they all seem pretty similar or not good enough to be mentioned in my list.
What do you think about these? Let me know with a comment if you like!
Those late-night multiplayer sessions can be really fun sometimes. Surely, everything is better with friends, they say and you’ll agree with that at some point. However, after a long day of work and studying, I like to relax with offline games. Sometimes, it’s satisfying to let yourself indulge in a great single-player story and forget about any problems bothering you. So, if you are like me, then welcome to the club! Below is my list of 20 best offline games for PC and I hope you’ll enjoy them.
1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
W2k16 pc download. Well, you’ve guessed it! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes first place on the list with its epic setting, characters, gameplay, and those breathtaking visuals! It’s a compelling game that will offer you more than a hundred hours of non-filler gameplay, and there’s always something to explore. The game looks amazing, and the combat system is great. This open-world title is everything you need on your free days! Combine that with the great RPG elements and fun dialogues with NPCs, and you got yourself a pretty good offline game! Go and play it now, it’s a must-play.
2. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
Wolfenstein series has been once again revived with Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. The positive reviews flashed all around the globe, and this game quickly became one of the best shooting games of 2017. B.J Blazkowicz is such a badass protagonist and the characters surrounding the game are interesting. You’ll quickly start to care about each and every one of them, making this game a worthy offline title. Bethesda said that they won’t be focusing on multiplayer, so they can bring an immersive single-player experience. Well, you nailed it, Bethesda; great job!
3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Bethesda is one of my favorite companies when it comes to gaming, at least they were a few years back. A few years back, this masterpiece called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released and it took the Earth by storm! This offline open-world title offers hundreds of hours of exploration and you’ll probably never get bored of it! The combat system might be dated, but it’s damn fun to play and explore every corner of the game. After six years since its release, I’m still eager to give Skyrim another go. It’s that great!
4. Fallout 4
Games With Character Customization Pc
Fallout 4 is one of those top offline games that you either like or dislike. It’s a great single-player experience, as you explore a huge world of fictional city Commonwealth. I mean, the story here is scattered here and there, and our protagonist is in search of his abducted son. However, the game often steers away from that and let you have some freedom and exploration. It’s a fantastic reboot of the series, and it’s surely the best game in the franchise. If you are up for that Stalker-ish feeling, then give this a try!
5. Hitman (2016)
Hitman isn’t a strictly offline game, but I included it because it has a great single-player campaign. While the previous entry in the series Hitman: Absolution relied more on linear, claustrophobic, and confined experience, Hitman (2016) went in a different direction. Here, you’ll experience a vast, open-world with lots of stuff to do. The levels are not that numerous, but they are as big as hell! You can complete your missions in various ways and earn certain rewards and points for doing so. Hitman is a challenging stealth experience, but once Agent 47crawls under your skin, there’s no going back!
Steam Games With Character Creation
6. Nioh
Nioh is a less-known offline game released this year, and I feel like this game is very underrated. It’s a child of Dark Souls and Bloodborne series, which can tell you much about this game. It has a single, crushing, and unforgiving difficulty that will leave you begging for mercy. It’s hard, and you’ll need some blazing fast reflexes and huge gaming skills to finish it. There are more than twenty bosses in the game, and every single boss will kick your ass! Don’t expect to finish this game in a few days; you’ll need weeks to finish it and it will be painfully slow as the bosses shame you every little time… you helpless gamer!
7. Nier: Automata
Another underrated game – Nier: Automata. How could the gaming community overlook this game? Are you blind, or what? This game offers thirty hours of a pure, refined, and amazing experience! It’s a hack-and-slash title that mergers several genres with it. The open world in this game is huge, and the post-apocalyptic environment looks depressing and feels like a void. Nier also introduces RPG elements so you can now level yourself up, upgrade weapons, buy stuff, etc. On top of that, there are some 2D sections that feel like a great platformer, and that’ very unique! Nier: Automata is better than most AAA titles and costs double the less of that price, which is one more reason to get it.
8. Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls series got a fantastic reboot with Dark Souls 3. Just if it wasn’t enough for the previous games in the series, and now we got this punishing game. What can I say? Prepare to die a LOT in this game, as it’s created to kill you. I’m not joking, the whole game is against you, and you can’t do anything about that except fight like a lunatic. Even when you die, the enemies around you respawn and you must fight again and again, which is really frustrating. However, if you have the balls to play it, and manage to finish it, then you deserve a medal, Sir!
9. Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock Infinite is the newest installment in the Bioshock series. This cheap game can give you a huge value for your buck, especially when the Holidays come. I mean, for just a couple of bucks, you can get a fantastic FPS game, which campaign isn’t short and definitely isn’t boring! Bioshock Infinite continues its tradition with great shooting mechanics, various powerups, and that fast-paced shooting in a beautiful environment of the game. Get ready to cause mayhem!
10. Alien: Isolation
Alien: Isolation is that PC offline game that will haunt your dreams every time you try to sleep. It’s a horror game in which you try to stay in one piece and escape that damn space station called Sevastopol. Sounds similar? Well, that’s because the game is based on Alien (1979) movie, which was a very disturbing experience at the time. It’s an intense game that makes your palms sweat and your heart beating so fast that you’ll think it’s gonna come out of your chest! Try this horror if you dare, and watch yourself getting swallowed by the Alien, in a single bite!
11. Far Cry Primal
Elephants are cool, but mammoths are so badass! In Far Cry Primal, you can hunt mammoths and even ride them when you get to higher levels! How cool are you from zero to riding a mammoth? This beautiful-looking game is set 10,000 years BC and no, you aren’t going to shoot guns, but bash the hell out of your enemies. The arsenal of weapons might not be that huge, but the combat is great and requires more thinking, as the enemies are sometimes overwhelming and can easily kill you. If you have the luck to tame a sabertooth tiger, you may survive in this harsh world!
12. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
There is something special about that claustrophobic feeling, especially when it comes to horror games that you can play without internet. That sense of dread and despair when you don’t have much space to move is priceless. Don’t think of me as a psycho, but I LOVE the horror genre! RE7: Biohazard is a game that caught my attention as soon as it was released. This bad boy will provide you with a horrific experience that will leave you scared to death! As the game plays from the first-person perspective, it’s much easier to get yourself immersed, but also scared.
13. Outlast 2
Outlast 2 is yet another offline horror experience, where the developers decided to leave your powerless. There aren’t weapons for you to use, and surely no means to defend yourself. So, what are you left with? Well, a camera and a journal should do the trick! The game does a damn fine job of melding the horror and the dread with stealth and great storytelling. In the end, you may feel a little let down by the ending, but I know you’ll enjoy it until the very end.
14. Dead Space 3
Cat et 2015a factory password generator. While the past games in the series focused more on that horror experience, Dead Space 3 is more of an action-horror game. Sure, there are Necromorphs and they are vicious and all, but the action part is more prominent. Needless to say that Dead Space 3 is an amazing game and I’m very sad that Visceral Games is closed by EA in October. This survival horror game is hugely underrated, but it’s awesome and I recommend you to play it. It’s just a couple of bucks for this experience, don’t be a niggard!
15. Portal 2
There’s something awesome when it comes to Source Engine. The games made with this engine looks amazing, yet they run smoothly. How did Valve manage to do that? Well, as I am not a game developer, don’t ask me! But ask me about Portal 2, which is Valve’s magnum opus, and a compelling puzzle game. The whole point of the game is to use a Portal gun in order to create portals and pass through them. However, the game isn’t that simple and requires some brain skill to finish it. Grab your Portal Gun, and let’s go on a venture!
16. Limbo
This 2D game is straight-up terrifying, dark, and misanthropic from the start to finish! In Limbo, you are a little boy that needs to survive this colorless world of the game as he overcomes various obstacles and escape scary monsters. I like the game’s artwork and the atmosphere is simply top-notch here if you like the dark ambient in the games. It’s a must-play for every offline Indie games lover!
17. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Speaking of the atmosphere, very few great offline games can replicate the atmosphere as it is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. That post-apocalyptic atmosphere of Pripyat looks great, and the game isn’t colorful, which is the whole point. Everything has that grey-ish tint, as this town suffered greatly when the Nuclear Powerplant in that area exploded. It’s based on a real-life event that occurred around 1989, which gives the game a certain weight and meaning.
18. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
With MGSV: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima proved that he still has what it takes to create such immersive PC games without internet. This stealth game is challenging and full of stuff to do, due to its open-world nature. The characters are badass and the game feels somewhat dark, with a very serious tone. Oh, and not to forget that plot twist at the end that’s worth those thirty hours I’ve spent on this game!
19. SOMA
Horror fans will be pleased that I mentioned another horror title here. SOMA is an absolutely spooky and nerve-wracking experience! It creates that atmosphere that’s very unique, and with the story being told in the shape of various documents scattered through the game, it’s even more badass! You are all alone here and you’ll fight for your life, only to find out that you aren’t actually alive! A truly wonderful offline game for Windows.
20. Superhot
Superhot is a cartoonish-looking offline game that revolves around time. To make it simple, the time in the game moves when you move, so if you are standing still, nothing will happen. Vice Versa, if you are moving and shooting, then the enemies will do the same. It’s a lot of fun, but a lot of challenges too. I played it with some of my favorite death metal albums, just to ensure that I’m hardcore enough to beat it!

As we are approaching near the end of our journey through the offline PC games, I’m here to ask you a question. What is your favorite offline game for PC? I tried my best to count some of my favorite offline games, and although I’m maybe going to start a war for not including some of the games, I stand behind my words. Oh, and why don’t you tell me what game did I miss? Do you have any favorites besides these 20 games? Please, let me know, and don’t forget to do some gaming today!

- as mentioned I’ve been doing a bit of achievement hunting and in the process I’ve been switching up a lot of gameplay stuff from how I handled it the first few times around and let me tell you it’s baller as fuuuuuuuuuck -- it just looks so awesome and is so satisfying between the maneuverability of the jetpack and biotic charge and the effects. special shoutout to what happens if you biotic charge a frozen victim enemy and the biotic pull/push combination. (throwing people around like ragdolls is actually so much fun I’ve kept doing it even after I unlocked the achievement lol)
- lol lol when you get meridian online there’s the montage of every planet coming back to life, right? well the one on kadara is from inside kralla’s song, with umi looking out at everything that’s happening. and all I can imagine is her jaded-ass voice going ‘what the fUCK did that asshole kid do now I only just cleaned up after the bar brawl he started with his krogan grandpa and now he’s rearranging the entire fucking planet right from under us goddess I need a drink’
- the implication that reyes ‘cards so close to my chest you won’t even know I’m playing’ vidal just does not shut up about how amazing ryder is to anyone who’ll listen gives me so much life. when you try to be mysterious and laidback but the human pathfinder is so fucking cute tho Y____Y (also go watch his scenes if you’re being standoffish with him the entire time -- he clearly wants ryder to like him so much right from the beginning, he’s doing so much work to no avail and I feel sort of bad for how funny I find it haha. interesting that it really does seem to be an emotional thing as well as y’know the practical/tactical benefits of having the pathfinder on his side. methinks the charlatan might be a bit lonely there behind all his masks lol)
I think this is why I’m willing to give him some benefit of the doubt too, despite all the cloak and dagger stuff -- he’s so immediately drawn to ryder, who you can never make a bad person, really. something in him must respond to that, if potentially only in the ‘attracted to traits I do not possess myself’ way hahaha
- I love sam. so so much. some of the open world implementation is still grating (yes sam. yes I know I can mine this area for resources through my mining interface. we’ve been doing this for a hundred hours sam. you’ve been right here with me the entire time sam. please sam), but he’s SUCH a good and I’d argue underutilized concept (emotionally at least) and the best boy. the fact that he can get SARCASTIC on you fsdhfjsadh he’s growing and learning! he’s doing so from inside your brain which is kind of unsettling but also SO COOL! there’s something about that level of intimacy, of always knowing there will be someone there with you in your head that is super interesting and deserves to be examined more fully -- both how it could be comforting and how it’s r e a l l y not how people or ai are generally designed to work lol.
he also gives us a unique link with our dad and I wonder if the writers would have explored that in more depth if there’d been more development time -- it practically SCREAMS out an invitation to get to play/see things from alec’s POV in short bursts, like the memories you unlock except you could go through playing it as him since sam is common to both of us. (see my ‘our dad comes back through either kett or remnant nonsense in the sequel and we need to find some way to connect with him’ idea. it would be. amazing. listen alec already looked at the ethical guidelines involved in creating ai and went ‘huh interesting ideas but not for me thanks!’, don’t tell me he wouldn’t have left some loophole in so this could happen)
- reyes literally says ‘the cavalry’s here’ when we get to meridian and I for one love him more than words can express (he also asks us if we’re okay in sort of a sweet/worried way right before we get to the control room. aw buddy)
- like we don’t think of them like that because we’re in control of them and see all the stumbles and awkwardness and how young they are all the time, but damn the ryder twins must look like something else to everyone in andromeda haha. they literally stride around like demigods restoring entire planets. on voeld spring non-metaphorically follows in their footsteps. shit dude if we’re talking realpolitik here the angara must feel p r e t t y nervous about this -- there’s no one saying they can’t turn off the vaults as easily as they turned them on. I hope we get them somehow teaching the angara how to do it too, on a smaller scale at least, as a show of good faith or something in a sequel, because that power imbalance is disconcerting
- I’m glad sam and I have such similar priorities whenever we’re on kadara. ‘maybe mr vidal would know. perhaps we should ask mr vidal about this. mr vidal said something relating to this pathfinder maybe we should speak to him’ . yeah sam i know the feeling, same (it does undeniably read as sam having a bit of a crush which is. hilarious?)
- the fact that alec ryder thought ellen responded to his bad boy act in any way when what really charmed her was that he was a great big nerd <3 it’s kind of nice to see a fictional marriage that seems to have just been. nice and stable and chill? just two intellectual equals who like and respect each other very much and not a lot of drama until alec went full alec and started developing rogue ai instead of watching his wife die lol. again I would love for the sequel to involve ellen finally waking up and being like ‘death? trying to claim MY husband? I do not think so, I can die he can’t he’s not leaving me behind’ and helping out and you realize that the reason they were soulmates was that under the relatively rational and unemotional surface they’re both, at heart, batshit crazy mad scientists who are insanely devoted to each other. imagine it tho! the people of andromeda realize alec ryder is back from the dead somehow and doing some Shit out there, they put a ton of resources into curing ellen’s disease because their best shot is something to do with the implants she made, hey presto we’ve got all ryders on the board and in play.
- just want to make it clear that I’m still sad about avitus rix and hope he’s having a good day
- do you think ryder ever asks sam to read something to him ‘aloud’ in his head if he’s anxious and can’t sleep. or just to talk at him about something boring until he nods off. again the possibilities inherent in the concept!!! he has someone who’s closer to him than any other person could be, what’s that like?
- *me sticking to my sidewinder pistol the whole playthrough even though it’s laughably inefficient* I just wanna feel like a cowboy bioware please work with me here
- the male ryder voice actor has such amazing comedic timing, there’s a lot of reaction stuff out in the field he absolutely nails. I enjoy the female voice too and I like how much emotion she manages to convey towards the end of the game especially, but there’s a casual comedy in male ryder’s voice that can’t be beat. (well, it’s not hawke levels, but then nothing ever is, that’s too much to ask)
- I love vorn and kesh so much. nerd krogans unite & make out
- I still want to sit peebee down and have a long serious talk with her about emotional abuse, maybe give her a hug :( fuck kalinda
- this game does not get enough credit for how stunningly beautiful it is, it all got buried under criticism about the animations and it’s a fucking shame. the last few vaults you go through are just mindboggling in scale and visual uh striking-ness. it makes me so sad to think there won’t be any more of it D:
- I really like this mainly casual + logical dialogue options ryder I’ve found; it makes him sound like a younger and more irreverent version of his father, but also softer and less closed off and much more willing to show affection for his family especially.
- i wonder if different people’s individual SAMs will take on a certain tone/unique pattern when they’ve coexisted long enough. have I mentioned. how much I want a sequel to this game
- one last reyes note because don’t look at me okay -- I wonder how much we’re meant to read into ‘being honorable never got me anywhere’. on the one hand I’m fully prepared to believe he’s never even tried doing anything the honorable way in his entire life lol but on the other there’s also some interesting potential in the interplay of that sentence and ‘to be someone’. (there seems to be a deep fear in him both of powerlessness and of being truly seen/recognized -- he equates secrecy with safety pretty explicitly -- which seems... telling? of what I don’t know but telling all the same hahaha) like he might be saying he’s tried doing things the ‘right’ way and it didn’t work and the price was too high, so he just went for this instead with the ends low-key justifying the means. hmmm. :Ia (this is what happens when I get Attached to a character with like an hour of screentime my friends, and I’m already primed to give my entire heart away at the sound of nicholas boulton’s voice)
#mass effect#mass effect andromeda#I'm sorry about this my brain just won't shut up about this suddenly so here we go#reyes vidal#meta

fuck’s sake.
I’m done. This project has turned out to be incredibly fun and incredibly time-consuming. And even though every fibre in my body is to rant right now, it’s late and i’m tired and i can’t even see my fucking keyboard in the dark. So i’ll keep it short. As always, link is in the sidebar. Get the latest release, which includes this armour and some other goodies, over there!
In fucking NOVEMBER i started working on this project. A new design! I wanted to accentuate the female curves using lines throughout the armour and guiding the eye to certain shapes. Very quickly, I decided to draw heavy inspiration from that dark star armour from armstreet which has been frequenting google images and pinterest a lot lately. You know, dark armour, blonde girl.
I got to texturing and I started with the gambeson. I wanted to outdo my past gambeson textures which were for the squire’s plate and I think i definite succeeded in doing so. The textures are more detailed, with more relief in the normal maps and more interesting geometry instead of just a repeated pattern. It was insanely time-consuming but it was certainly worth it.
I then moved on to making the blackened steel material. This required me to make a completely new texture based on the images i got from armstreet and google. It was to be a nonexistent material with new lore behind it, and I didn’t want to just recreate ebony. So I got to messing around with cloud filters and bullfuckery with different ways colours would be reflected in different maps. The oranges are dull, the deep blues are very reflective, with the semi-dark midtones being quite shiny. It makes for a very unique looking and interesting material with nice visual depth. I’ll definitely expand on this stuff later on, especially as this armor is still female only.
Texturing the other parts, that is the boots and the gauntlets, took a lot more effort. Not because they were more difficult, but because other things had gotten in the way and also because I was growing quite tired of making textures (at that point, i had two 4k textures done in total). I moved on to other things, like playing the game and messing around with other games. I also made a new minor outfit, to expand on those new plate and gambeson sets from two releases ago. I just added a breastplate but it looks quite nice. No screenies, but the sets are fully obtainable in game and use existing assets that make sense.
During this seemingly minor hiatus I also tried to overhaul the crafting mechanics of the wardrobe by starting with the Squire’s Plate. Now you need all parts that you can either buy or craft individually, instead of needing a few unique items and making the rest from scratch.
Then I started implementation of the armour. Mind you, we’re in January already. Life shit happens, I’m starting to work more shifts, and I’m faced with a huge ordeal of scripting my very first quest. Luckily I found help of someone I share discord servers with and it’s been a big deal. Without them, I wouldn’t’ve been able to even begin questing. Another friend helped me write some diary text for the plugin, which I hope you will enjoy. Then for pretty much the entire month of February there was another HUGE hiatus as I was playing another game altogether and was really struggling to finish another script for the mod and some minor shit. And now, today, I figured to just bite the fucking bullet and get it done. Or rather, circumvent the entire scripting issue in a hopefully clever way so that I can finally release this goddamn thing.
Long story short, this project has grown too large too quickly and I feel quite exhausted about it all. I need some time to get my bearings and get excited about other stuff, as well as come up with new ideas for outfits or maybe even other things, like add-ons for existing armors or miscellaneous items! There’s still tons of stuff for me to do and I want to revive this texturing passion of mine. Question is: when?

Thorin and the Gem Carver
“I can’t believe they did that!!!! How could they be SO CRUEL!!!!” you cried as your aunt washed your looooong white hair for the fortieth time.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart, but it is not coming out. Now we can either leave it and let it fade, or we will have to cut it off.” your aunt told you.
You cried. Your beautiful platinum white hair was ruined. You had put it into a beautiful long braid this morning and decided to just let it hang down the back of you today. You and your aunt had gone to market to purchase traveling clothes and accessories for the long march to Erebor.
You were standing next to the stall that dyes fabrics and several human young ladies there were admiring your long, thick white hair. They kept touching it with their stained hands even after you asked them to stop. Their boss came over and asked what the commotion was about and you politely informed her what was going on. She apologized and scolded the young lasses.
As soon as she left, one of the lasses watched and waited for your aunt to move away from you to the other side of the stand, then she grabbed your braid and yanked it down into the blue dye. You fell back and caught yourself on the edge of the barrel before your whole head went in, but she got nearly half of your braid in the dye.
You screamed out but she was chanting something and you felt some kind of magic flowing into you. When she released you and you yanked your braid out, it was a dark, dark blue at the bottom that faded to lighter shades as it worked it’s way up your braid until it faded into your white hair near your shoulders.
Your aunt was mortified as were you. “Now you’ll learn to respect us humans!” the young woman said to you both crossly. “We only wanted to admire your braid. Now you’ll have to cut it off and start over!” she snickered.
Your aunt glared at the young woman, marched right over to the stall, shoved the woman into the vat of dye and went to get the owner of the stall.
The woman came out with your aunt and apologized profusely for what her worker had done. She fired the woman right then and there and called the guards to haul her away for assaulting you. Eomer and Theoden will deal with her, the woman assured your aunt and gave her a huge bag of gold as compensation for your ruined hair. “Again, I am SO sorry Miss Jade. Please know none of the rest of us feel the way Angelica did. She has always been an envious and crafty woman. Go now and see to your hair. She told you.
Now you both sat, on the eve of your trip, washing your hair trying everything the owner had suggested to get the color out. None of it worked. You sat and cried. When your aunt suggested cutting it, you cried even harder and hugged your hair. “NO! Please don’t cut it!” you begged. I will just have to keep it hidden until it fades. You told her.
She sighed and told you to get your things packed and that you all will be leaving before dawn.
You went to your room and combed out your long locks. The tips just barely dragged on the floor. The individual strands were fine and soft, but you had a LOT of those fine strands and your hair was thick (dense) to the touch because there was SO much of it.
You put your hair into two four strand braids and wrapped them around your head, forming a blue crown. You used your hair pins to keep it in place. Putting one in to hold the braided crown after every other weave.
Once that was done, you began to carefully pack your stone carving tools in the leather carrier your uncle made you out of the dark blue leather. You looked lovingly at those tools. They had belonged to your father, who had taught you from a young age how to carve gemstones. You did it so well and could do such intricate designs, that you became highly sought after by the elves.
He would always accompany you as you went from place to place carving for the elves, men, and you made good coin from it. You earned the title of “Master gem carver” which always made your father chuckle since you had been named Jade.
Now these tools were all you had left of him besides the beads he gave you when you were born and when you earned the title of “Master gem carver” from Lord Elrond and Lady Galadrial and Lord Celeborn at one of their celebrations.
You played with the tie of the leather wrap, remembering the day you earned the title. It was bittersweet. You and your father had just left Rivendell and were heading home to the Blue Mountains. He had just presented you with his tools claiming you needed them now more than he did.
That day you both had met up with the trading caravan heading back to the Blue Mountains. The following night, the caravan you were traveling with was attacked by orcs. The two young dwarves who always flirted with you kept you safe, but your father fell defending your back as the two young dwarves protected your front and sides.
When the attack was done, the survivors buried those who fell and left markers on the roadside. You cried the whole way home as you rode on the pony in front of the dark haired dwarf who held you close and tried to comfort you. They took you back to your home and sent word to your aunt and uncle, who promptly came two days later to take you to live with them in Rohan where your uncle worked as a metal worker making tools, horseshoes and implements for the Rohirrim.
You became friends with the Lady Eowyn and her brother, carving the few gemstones Rohan had for her, her king, her cousin and her brother.
Once word that Erebor had been re-claimed and fully restored, your uncle decided to head to the mountain to retire in safety and to hopefully find you a husband, much to your dismay.
You suddenly heard knocking on your door. “Who is it?” you asked. “It’s Eowyn and Eomer.” you heard them say. You walked to the door and opened it, gesturing them to come in.” They came and sat on the human sized chairs you kept in your room for them when they visited you.
“We heard what happened to your hair and came to see if there was anything that could be done.” Eowyn said. You dropped your head, showing them your blue braids.
Eomer grinned, reached over to your chin and tilted it up so you looked up at him. “I know hair is very sacred to the dwarves, and that you do not cut it except for grieving a loss. Your aunt tells me you were born with your white hair, is that true?” he asks as he dried your tears.
“Yes, Eomer,” you reply, “I was born with the white hair. It is very rare in dwarves to be born with hair so white. Nearly all dwarves with white hair have it because they are old. Galadrial told me that Mahal gave me white hair for a reason and that she could not tell me why, but told me never to cut it. I could trim off the split ends, but I was never to cut it short.” you explain.
“Jade, may we see what it looks like now when it is let down?” Eowyn asks. You sigh, and nod. You consider these two people close friends and don’t mind taking your hair down for them. They are like siblings to you and so you carefully take out the hairpins and unwind your braids, then carefully undo them. You finger comb them out and now that your hair has dried, it lays in waves down your back thanks to the braids.
“Ooooh!” Eowyn says. “It’s beautiful! It looks like a waterfall!” she exclaims. You look up at her and then to Eomer. “It does, indeed, Jade. It is beautiful. Do not be embarrassed by the color. Angelica may have meant it to embarrass and hurt you, but I think it has enhanced your beauty and uniqueness. When it was up in the braided crown it made your green eyes pop.” he said grinning kindly.
You smiled at him. “Thank You Eomer. I just do not know how the Dwarves of Erebor will take to such an oddity as me and my blue hair.” you say as you nervously twist a strand around your finger.
Eomer takes your hand, kneels down and looks you in the eyes. “If they can’t see past your hair and it’s marvelous color, then they are a bunch of fools and not worth your time. If you find you are not happy there, don’t hesitate to send us word and we will welcome you back here with open arms!” he tells you.
“I wish you a safe journey. We must go now and let you pack. Please let us know when you reach Erebor safely and let us know from time to time how things are going there.” he tells you and gives you a hug.
He stands and steps aside to let Eowyn kneel to your eye level. “I will miss you, Sweet Jade. Indeed, your hair is beautiful and never be ashamed of it. It becomes you, even with it’s blue color. It beautifully fades up into the white at the top of your shoulders and looks very becoming on you. But if you feel the need to hide it, I have brought you a gift.” she tells you.
She stands and hands you a package wrapped in brown paper and string. You set it on the chair and they watch as you open it. It is a dark blue velvet cloak with hood and silver tassel. There is a dwarvish pattern embroidered in silver thread all around the hood’s edge and down the front edges and continuing along the bottom of the cloak.
“I did the embroidery and your aunt helped me with the pattern of the dwarves of Erebor.” she told you. It was cut specifically to fit you. Try it on that I may see how it looks on you.” she encourages you.
You look up at them with eyes glistening. You carefully unfold the cloak and put it on. Then pull up the hood and take the small hair comb sewn into the hood and hook it into your hair to keep it in place.
You again look up at them and they are beaming. “You look lovely, my dear.” Eomer says. “It suits you.” Eowyn says, smiling.
“Good bye my friend, safe travels and please send us word of how you are doing from time to time.” she tells you as she kneels to give you a hug.
You hug her back and thank them both for the gift.
They smile and head out to let you pack.
You take off the cloak and hang it on the chair’s back then go back to packing. Before you go to bed, you rebraid your hair and pin it back up into the blue crown so it doesn’t strangle you as you sleep.
Early the next morning, you and your aunt and uncle head out for Erebor. The royal family is there to see you off and gifted you three each a sturdy pony. You look back and see them standing on the platform waving to you. You wave back and then turn to follow your aunt and uncle.
******************
After many days of journeying, the three of you reach Dale. You keep your hair either pinned at the back of your head or wrapped in a crown around your head. But when your uncle told you that you would reach Dale and Erebor by this afternoon, you decided to only put half of it up. You braided the top half or your hair on your head into two braids and then looped them around the back of your head into a large bun. Pinning it with hairpins that you had carved sapphires into blue flowers and attached to the hairpins. You left the bottom half of your hair long, but pulled it up into a large hair bead to keep it out of the way while riding the pony.
When you got into Dale, your Uncle got off of the pony and walked it through the streets. He stopped at a stable to put the horses there as he let you and your aunt shop and see the markets while he went to talk with King Bard about some trade item that Theoden had asked him to discuss with Bard.
You remove your cloak long enough to pull the large bead from your hair and let it cascade down your back. Then you put it over your shoulders and hide your hair as you hook the cloak’s clasps around your neck and pull the hood back up and attach it to your hair at the top of your forehead so the hood nearly hides your face as well.
You and your aunt wander the markets. Suddenly you feel a set of eyes watching you. You look around nervously and see the two young dwarves who had guarded your caravan all those years ago. They hadn’t seen you yet, but the big, burly dwarf with them was staring at you with his arms crossed over his chest and a frown on his face. Next to him stood a dwarf just as tall with long, dark hair that had silver streaks in it. The dwarf was talking to the dark haired younger one who had held you as you cried after your father was killed.
You turned back to your aunt and asked if you might head over to the tavern and get some food and ale. She nodded and you left to go to the tavern.
You entered and found a dark corner to sit in, out of the light of the rest of the tavern. The maid had just brought you your ale and stew when you saw them walk in. The big, bald, burly dwarf, the two younger ones, and another two. One was white haired like you and had a kind, old face, and the other was tall and had long dark hair with silver strands in it. They talked quietly and sat at a table across the room from you. The two young ones immediately ran for the bar and plopped down there to drink and talk with the barkeeper, who seemed to know them and call them by name.
You turned your attention back to the other three. They hadn’t noticed you yet and you intended to keep it that way. You sat and ate your stew, being careful to keep your head down and not show your face to anyone if you could help it. The maid came by again and brought you a plate of bread and cheese and another ale. You looked up at her confused. She told you it was from the table across the room, and pointed to them.
You looked up from under your hood and saw the bald one staring at you with a bemused look. You gave him a small nod and he nodded back. You thanked the maid and she left you alone. You ate the bread and cheese with your stew and drank your ale slowly.
After a while it started to get very busy in the tavern and you were getting uncomfortable. You laid your coins on the table to pay for the food and drink and a tip then worked your way over to the door.
A few of the patrons noticed you moving and grabbed at your cloak, trying to pull you over to them. You pulled out a dagger from amongst your clothes and in a low voice told them to release your cloak or you’d slit their throats. They quickly let you go and you continued to move for the door.
You were almost there when the bald dwarf stood and approached you. He stopped in front of you and you stopped your advance. You didn’t look up to him, and just stood there staring at your feet and his. “Please let me pass.” you said in a low voice he barely heard.
He folded his arms over his chest. “I’m afraid that isn’t possible, lass.” he says and takes a step forward. You take a step back and growl. “Let. Me. Pass. or you’ll be sorry you didn’t” he laughs and takes another step forward.
“Calm down, lass.” he says holding up his hands to show he means her no harm. “My king wishes to talk with you.” he informs you.
“King? Why would the king want to talk with me. I am nobody, and unimportant to him or anyone else.” You say quietly.
He chuckles, “Come,” he says and stretches out a hand to steer you towards their table. You quickly duck and spin around him and bolt for the door. He is caught off guard by your speed and quick movement and isn’t able to catch you before you disappear into the crowd.
Balin and Thorin watch as you evade Dwalin and are amused. He growls and returns grabbing his ale and downing it in a couple gulps.
“What did you say to her, brother, that made her run?” Balin teased. Dwalin looks up confused. “I don’t know. She was as skittish as a field mouse. She asked me to let her pass, i told her i couldn’t and told her the king wishes to talk with her. Then she bolted.” he said rubbing his bearded chin.
Thorin groaned. “Find her Dwalin. Take Kili and Fili with you.” They know what she looks like.” he says.
“Thorin why are you so intent on meeting this woman of Rohan?” Balin asked. “I received a message from King Theoden telling me of her story and how she has blessed their kingdom with her presence and skill. She is a very talented gem carver. He holds out a small, carved sapphire to them. Balin takes it and looks at it through his magnifying glass. “It IS most exquisitely carved!” he exclaims as he hands both the gem and his glass to Dwalin to look at. Dwalin too looks through the glass at the gem and is surprised.”
“King Theoden sent this as an example of her skill, but asked it be returned as it was a gift from her to his niece. He asked us to consider her for our gem carving guild and told us she is a master gem carver. He also asked that we treat her well, as the only family she now has is her aunt and uncle who are quite old and seek to retire in Erebor.” Thorin explains.
“Apparently she was humiliated in some way by a vindictive woman in the village shortly before they left and he explained that his niece and nephew were very close to the gem carver and consider her an adopted sister. They apparently gave her a dark blue hooded cloak with a silver tassel and silver dwarven patterns embroidered onto the edges of the cloak.
I recognized the cloak in the market and saw her come here. I thought we might be able to talk here away from the prying ears and eyes in Erebor.” Thorin explains as he rubs his chin.
“Dwalin, take the boys and go and find her, do not approach her, just follow her and see that she is kept safe. Hopefully she will still come to Erebor and not flee elsewhere.” he says .

10 Famous Inventions that were the particular culmination regarding other people’s work

An unclean (yet open) secret regarding innovation is most wonderful breakthroughs seldom happen due to a single only genius.
Whereas history is rife with stories with famous inventors, who are generally national game characters, in almost every event they were just the first reduce weight improve a preexisting system to your final level where the item achieved muscle appeal.
Imagine how research discoveries with hundreds of years in the past inspired the works for subsequent ages of professionals.
Or what sort of iPod changed personal song thanks to the actual combination of advancement in the despropósito fields about digital favorite songs compression, hard drive miniaturization, affordable ARM microprocessors and other sorts of technological innovations.
1. Galileo and the telescope
Even while Galileo is normally credited having devised the main telescopes, there was actually a good Dutch individual called Hans Lippershay who had been making addition devices making use of the ever bettering qualities of glassmaking at the moment.
Allegedly, Galileo heard about all these and chosen to build his personal, even generating some changes in the process. Having been also the first person to work with these brand-new optics being a scientific musical instrument, which is where his true value was initially added.
2. James Watt and the steam engine
While I was in secondary school, my scientific research teacher thought it was funny individuals “What was the name of the man who seems to invent the particular steam website? ” Very funny, because “Watt” was the reply, so the problem was a fashionable statement.
Merely steam applications predated Watt’s design just by almost 58 years. Brit Thomas Savery patented the very first steam serps design for 1698, to take out water from coal fosse. Subsequently, Jones Newcomen superior the design to function at atmospheric pressure, of which became the normal design for concerning 50 years.
Watt’s real advancement was building the program with an independent condenser, which made the full process now more efficient.
3. Eli Whitney and the cotton gin
During periods of captivity in the USA, Georgia predominantly expanded cotton that had quicker fibers. The didn’t are very effective with the products at the time which usually tried to take away seeds on the fibers (roller gins), plus required a great deal of manual job. So the point out of Ga sponsored a good engineering force to come up with an improved design.
Whitney improved within the roller gins by updating the sturdy rollers by using wire your teeth.
While this drastically improved manufacturing ability with regard to cotton, this also had typically the sad complication of increasing the requirement for slaves to a fella the career fields.
You may also interesting in invention ideas
4. Elisha Otis and the elevator
Equipment capable of working out with people straight into tall architectural structures has endured since the early Egyptians. And since the industrial wave and the regarding cities triggered taller homes being designed, people started to be tired of being forced to climb various flights associated with stairs. And so elevators had been invented, applying either steam or power engines which often pulled uplifts with ropes.
However, rules have a tendency to bust. And even having an elevator just one or two stories excessive, if the rope broke so you plummeted while using carriage it will result in no less than severe personal injury, if not the loss of life.
Otis truly invented the safety break, which will stop often the elevator through crashing when it was initialized by quick falling every time a rope got destroyed. This took off a major potential for death coming from buildings tall than several stories and even spurred around the building in the first skyscrapers.
5. Thomas Edison and the light bulb
It's perhaps the most popular invention in recent history, and its sign actually sums up the concept of a notion.
And yet, Youngsters Edison didn’t invent the sunshine bulb. Not necessarily the wine glass bulb, or perhaps the glowing filament inside it. They merely better the previous styles to the point that they can become otc practical, in 1880.
The initial electric light product, called a great Arc-Lamp, was made by Humphry Davy with regards to 78 decades before in which but did not last long together with was too bright. Throughout 1850, Ernest Swan has seen that carbonized paper was much better stuff for a filament and put to use them to help make light bulbs. But he could not get the design to be more effective or durable.
After furthermore experimentation, both equally Swan and Edison uncovered subsequently more beneficial materials, and ultimately their a pair of companies amalgamated to market most of their new improved upon design jointly, though most of the people only recall Edison.
6. Guglielmo Marconi and the Radio
In the 1890s, both Marconi and Nikola Tesla have been fighting to formulate the radio. Tesla actually got more of the beginning patents to the technology. Still, the initial treasure of electromagnetic radiation was actually made seven years earlier by German researcher Heinrich Hertz, who was capable to both broadcast and acquire radio swells in his research laboratory.
However, the guy couldn’t imagine any sensible applications regarding his knowledge.
It was after Marconi who has been able to acquire all these technological innovations and switch them perfectly into commercial merchandise.
7. Henry Ford and the car
Honda released the exact Model Testosterone levels in 1908, and it is the first auto to gain block market elegance and good results at a time any time many people nonetheless traveled through the horse.
Nonetheless, the car while powered simply by an internal combustion engine was really created by Karl Benz within 1885, and many other engineers, therefore, improved about the design for greater efficiency, coziness performance.
Precisely what Ford reached was improve production technique of the machine. Her assembly line advanced production productivity significantly, slashing the cost of every single unit for a price point in which people could possibly actually have the funds for it.
8. The Wright Brothers and the airplane
Teens have been hoping to see flight intended for eons. Via Leonardo Kc Vinci’s sketches of hovering machines to story regarding Icarus, many people desired to clear themselves on the shackles involving gravity.
And then the Wright Brothers were not really the only people of their time to try and establish a machine competent at powered airline flight.
George Cayley was the first person to move via designs regarding flapping similar to birds towards a “fixed wing” design. Yet another engineer referred to as Otto Lilienthal then implemented a lot of those models to create genuine gliders through fixed wings and examining them, putting together a lot of files which the Wright Brothers would likely subsequently usage.
Additionally, the very Wright Siblings were able to implement another the latest invention within the time: the internal combustion algorithm from vehicles. They were all-around at just the right age when this kind of became offered.
Their real innovation was a student in their patterns which authorized their planes to actually always be steered as well as controlled. And also rest is usually history.
Also, check out: invention help
9. Philo Farnsworth and the TV
An excellent sort of an invention that had been only probable thanks to quite a few other pioneering technological advances across market sectors.
Farnsworth had the ability to take the trends of the cathode ray tubing (by Ferdinand Braun) and also combine them with an approach to scan graphics using electrons which the person apparently started out thinking of inside high school.
This design likewise outperformed other competing TV SET technology at that moment: mechanical TELEVISION SET.
10. Bill Gates and the Graphical User Interface
Beginning computer systems were being primarily command-line driven, this means you had to know every one of the inputs for you to type right keyboard in order to the machine that which you wanted it all to do.
A lot of people credit Roshan Windows utilizing introducing the globe to the Gui (GUI), which you could use a rabbit to just click on-screen materials to tell it again what to do, making the whole course of action much more simple.
However, much of the progress throughout GUI growth happened very much earlier. Some sort of pioneer was basically Douglas Engelbart, who exhibited an Operating System which has a mouse pointer in 1968. This plan was subsequently taken up by simply Xerox, exactly who released their valuable Alto pcs which were the 1st with a duck and GUI.
As figures go, Apple’s Steve Work opportunities saw an Alto when visiting Xerox’s PARC study center along with inspired him or her to make sure the main Apple Macintosh personal computer would have some GUI, the initial mass-market GUI computers. This unique then flat the way to the even more business-focussed Intel Windows Main system, which got the idea absolutely mainstream.

Biscuit Reviews Super Mario Bros.

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. franchise, I thought it would be great to go back and review the game that started it all. Super Mario Bros. for the NES which came out in 1985.
What more can be said about this game that hasn’t already been said. It has been credited on saving the video game market from the video game crash that started in 1983, World 1-1 has been dissected as a great tutorial level (more on that in the review), and it was highly replayable in terms of searching for more secrets, shortcuts, and simply trying get to the end as fast as possible. The last point would serve as the inspiration for Sonic the Hedgehog. Yeah, Mario inspired his greatest mascot rival with the creator of Sonic always wanting to get through World 1-1 as fast as possible.
For this particular review I am reviewing the Switch version that is available on the NES Emulator through Nintendo Switch’s online service.
The story is simple. Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach. Mario and Luigi must rescue her. Bowser’s army has also taken over the Mushroom Kingdom and he has casted a spell on its citizens by turning them into blocks.
There are a total of 8 Worlds with 4 levels each, with the fourth level always being a fight with Bowser in that World’s castle. Throughout Mario and Luigi’s journey, they will be fighting Goombas, Koopas, Hammer Bros, Squids, Cheep-cheeps, and Lakitas and all have their own unique patterns of hindering their progress. Each level also has its own obstacles that the player must navigate through to reach the end of the level.
To help with the enemies and obstacles, Mario and Luigi have access to power ups that will allow them to take an extra hit from an enemy by collecting a Red Mushroom, gain an extra life by collecting a Green Mushroom, have a fireball attack by collecting a Fire Flower, and have temporary invincibility by collecting a Power Star. There are also coins to collect throughout the stages as well. Collecting 100 coins will grant Mario and Luigi an extra life.
Each level builds upon your familiarity with the game and thus challenges you even more as you become more used to the controls and mechanics.
The game will end if Mario or Luigi reaches the final world and level, or if Mario and Luigi run out of lives. If they run out lives, progress will revert to the start at World 1-1. If you don’t want to do that, simply press and hold the A button on the Game Over screen, select how many players on the main title screen and return to the first level of the World you were on. However, with the Nintendo Switch version, you can open the emulation options and simply turn back time to moments you die as if it never happens or reload save states to return to your progress.
Now some might say that using the emulation controls go against the developers original intent. Although it very well might, if those same developers went back many years later to implement those controls, couldn’t it also be argued that they are simply just giving another option to play their game?
The option is there to play with the original intent or in this other way. This is something that I feel that Nintendo has always approached Mario games, the freedom to explore and to try out different moves and techniques at Mario’s disposal. It’s a topic that I feel will always be discussed
As I mentioned previously, we also have one of the greatest tutorial levels ever created. So much so that this is constantly referenced for level designers in creating tutorial segments and instructional designers on how to incorporate stealth learning in their courses. Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 offers many learning opportunities for players before they start the game proper.
The level contains a nice area for the player to get used to the controls such as walking, running, and jumping before advance. Mario is even placed on the left side of the screen with the right side being open to show that is the direction to go. Then there’s the introductory Goomba, an enemy that can be defeated by jumping on it. Even the Goomba’s design indicates to the player this is an enemy with a creature advancing towards Mario with an angry looking expression on its face. Said Goomba will also teach the player that if touched, Mario will lose a life.
It even teaches you about ? blocks with Mario under one and some bricks. That ? block will provide coins and sometimes even powerups, which in the levels case, a Red Mushroom. Even if the player tries to avoid it there are obstacles that will have Mario take the Red Mushroom, which in turn, shows the player the Red Mushroom is good as it makes Mario stronger. There are also various points in the stage where if Mario is hit, you learn that a Red Mushroom will allow Mario to continue the stage after the previously learned one hit.
The game also shows you that secrets in stages exist by having these secrets planted through other tutorial areas such as pits to jump over. For example, the long jump pit has a secret. The long jump in particular works with it’s secret is that it serves as a safety net for the player as they jumped too soon.
But of course, you don’t have to take my word for it: here are two videos that go into more detail about World 1-1’s design
youtube
youtube
This one game inspired so much for many people. Without the success of Super Mario Bros, there wouldn’t be a Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Halo, or Metal Gear. Because most likely, the video game market might no longer exist or at least not be the juggernaut that it is today.
So by no surprise to anyone:
Super Mario Bros. receives a 5 out of 5

SOLVED Converting Ape To Flac In Lucid
Most portable audio gamers can play music encoded in the MP3 audio format, but some shoppers even have music in Ogg Vorbis , FLAC , MPC , or even WMA files. Word: Each music file might be up to 300 MB. When a file is transformed to an MP3, the 300 MB restrict applies to the transformed MP3 file. This article introduces a CUE Splitter and a tutorial methods to split audios (FLAC, MP3, APE, WAV, OGG or WMA) related to the CUE Sheet. With the CUE Splitter, you never have troubles in the right way to play audio recordsdata on your gadgets. As will be seen from the diagram, the panel means that you can set the expected volume and output format of the audio, and to customise the pattern fee, Bit charge and channels the audio will include.
FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. It is the most popular lossless audio format. It's a compressed audio format, identical to mp3, but it surely won't bring any sound high quality loss. 2.Formats Supported: SPX(Speex),MP3,WMA,MP2,OGG,WAV,AAC(used by iTunes),FLAC, APE,ape,MPC (MusePack),WV(WavePack),OptimFROG, TTA ,Ra(Real audio). I did every part as defined within the instructions above. The cue record appeared and I clicked on ‘Split' and was knowledgeable that the break up was successful. Nonetheless, once I went to the designated folder (the same as the source) I discovered nothing there besides another copy of the cue file. Might anybody suggest what is likely to be occurring here? I've tried it a number of instances with the identical end result. Though an ape flac конвертер скачать бесплатно file always has a seek desk, APE frames are very giant and this slows down in search of anyway. It is because media participant still needs to decode the entire body to achieve the goal audio pattern and, understanding that APE decoding is slightly slow, it could take even more time than the couple of excessive file reads. MP3 Quality Modifier is a small freeware program for Windows that's easy to use and works very nicely. It additionally does not contain any malware or useless affords when putting in it. Choose between 20 constructed-in effects and filters together with delay, flanger, chorus, reverb, and extra. Combine audio and ape flac конвертер скачать бесплатно blend several audio tracks. AVS Audio Editor saves output recordsdata in any standard format. If you would like the next bitrate MP3 than you at present have, you'll want to go back to the source (CD, and so forth) and extract that audio at full high quality. Then you'll be able to convert that file into a better bitrate MP3 file. APE format (additionally referred to as Monkey's Audio) is an algorithm and file format for lossless audio knowledge compression, which is freely on the market to customers with plug-ins for playback on most popular media players. Nonetheless, the dearth of cross-platform support makes it a extra restricted to be used. So in the event you wish to create a copy of your CD rip it to FLAC. The standard may be equivalent as supply nevertheless the information will not be as large as WAV lossless. That is my second use of the steps on the internet site, however the second time I get a an error (undefined) message. The primary time labored high quality. Might the file be one other type though it states it as being anape file. Nicely if you're on a Mac you could use one thing such as XLD to transform those APE information to AIFF or FLAC. The second factor you will learn is that you need to by no means convert a decrease bitrate stream to a better bitrate stream and hope that it sounds higher. You cannot achieve high quality by increasing the bitrate. This is precisely right. You will truly scale back the standard of your MP3 file should you try to convert up the bitrate.

MP3 vs. FLAC, are you able to hear the distinction if it is 320 bit MP3 vs FLAC? The common music listener most likely will not have the opportunity hear a huge difference when comparing FLAC to MP3. However, these of you that call yourselves audiophiles would probably think about it sacrilege to listen to something of lesser high quality. The answer relies on your headphone, there can be slight difference if you have a HD headphone, however, you will not notice any difference in sound quality for FLAC if you use an inexpensive headphone or those earpod by Apple, including Beats Headphones. Rafael Lozano-Hemmer
Rafael Lozano-Hemmer is a Mexican-Canadian artist who well known for its large-scale installations and customized interfaces make by the widest range of media. His main interest is in using technology to create participatory public platforms, such as robotics and computer monitoring. Much of his inspiration comes from hallucinations, revelry, and animation. Lozano Hemmer thinks that most platforms have limitations, so he always been trying to create an interactive platform with multiple possibilities.1 ”Pulse-baed" work and "Relational Architecture" are two representative series of works by Lozano Hemmer, and “Pulse Room” and “Body Movies” are two famous pieces from these two series. Through these two works, Lozano Hemmer seeks to illustrate how digital devices can effectively be used to create communication and participation between people situated in different Spaces. His works are temporarily changing the relationship between people, space and technology while challenging our traditional and deep-rooted concepts of reality.

The quest to explore the connection between people and space through digital devices has remained constant in the artistic work of Lozano Hemmer. Pulse-based works was a series of artworks that created by Lozano Hemmer since 2006. Through pulse-based work, Lozano sought to pay more attention to the creation of group experiences rather than individual electronic art encounters, thus this series of works requires people interact with it to gain completion and to be understood in the true sense. Pulse Room is one of the most representative works in the Pulse-based series, and it was made in 2006 as the beginning of the pulse-based works that have been exhibited in several museums around world, included Museum of 21st Century Art (Kanazawa), Colección/Fundación Jumex (Mexico City) and MONA Museum (Hobart). The Pulse Room is an interactive device with one to three hundred transparent incandescent bulbs of 300 watts which are suspended from a three-meter high cable. The bulbs are evenly distributed throughout the exhibition room and fully filled the room. There is an interfaces placed on one side of the room where placed sensors that used to detect participants' heartbeats. Through this interface, the artist seeks to make a connection and give the participants a singular form of experience as opposed to the collective form of experience which has high chances of getting lost in the universality of its being. When someone holds the interface, the computer detects participator pulse and immediately displays the exact rhythm of his or her heartbeat on the nearest light bulb. When the interface is released, all lights are briefly turned off, and the sequence of flashes moves one position forward from the queue to the next bulb in the grid. Whenever someone touches the interface, the heart pattern is recorded and sent to the first light bulb in the grid, pushing all existing records forward. The installation displays a recording of the most recent participant at any given time.3 Lozano Hemmer got inspiration for this work when his wife was pregnant with twins, he was listening to his unborn children’s heartbeat at the same time from two ultrasound machines. This personal experience got him thinking as to how to make the electrical signal of heart visible. He also gained inspiration from a Mexican movie called Macario(1960) that directed by Robert Gavaldon. In this movie, the main character is getting illusion caused by hunger, which makes him feel that everyone is represented by the lights candle in the cave.4 Similarly, Lozano tried his hand to realize this unique experience in reality through the Pulse Room where he was able to capture each participant's heartbeat by transferring it to a fragile light bulb. Therefore, Lozano promotes large scale variants through each bulb which represented the particular participant’s personal life. In this way, it could be said that the pulse was symbolic of the 'rhythm' of life.5 However, each person's initial pulse will eventually disappeared and was replaced by the heartbeat of the new participant. This installation is more meaningful than just see it, because it represents the lifecycle through its cyclical mode of representation. The pattern of this installation and its functioning resonates with the fragility of a real heart which does not have eternal life and stops beating after a point. Thus, this installation envisages the transient nature of life and provides an interactive platform for the participants to gain in depth realization about the concept of existence and the true meaning of life.6 In this work Lozano try to use different rhythm of light and several digital media to enable participants to create their own connections with the installation and interpret the work. The end result was that participants did not just interact with the installations, but also change and this allowed people to redefine their relationship with technology. Another interesting observation about this installation was that the very aspect of the pulse is essentially limited in nature as we can always feel and hear it but never see it. Thus, we cannot control our heartbeat like we control our mind. However, Lozano Hemmer’s work made it possible to see pulse and to exercise control over it, even though it was limited in nature. Participants could see something that they had never seen before and that to something they had never thought they could see with their eyes. Therefore, participants were able to see themselves as they would not normally see, and this helped them to gain a better understanding of their own selves.7

In “Pulse-based” work, Lozano albeit temporarily was able to successfully change the relationship between humans and space; In series of “Relational Architecture” Lozano altered the relationship between human and Architecture. Body movies(2001) is the sixth piece in the “Relational Architecture” series by Lozano Hemmer. Body Movies changed the conceptualization of public space through an interactive projection placed at 400 to 1,800 square meters. There were thousands of photographs of portraits taken on the streets of the host city previously, and these portraits were displayed using the robot-controlled projectors. However, these images showed the projected shadow of passers-by inside, depending on the distance between passers-by and the powerful source of light, their shadow outline could be measured between two to twenty-five meters. A video surveillance tracking system triggers new portraits when all existing portraits are revealed, thus, inviting the public to take up new representative narration. Lozano Hemmer got this inspire from Samuel van Hoogstraten's engraving "The Shadow Dance" (Rotterdam, 1675).8 In the series of “Relational Architecture” Lozano uses several large-scale installations include sensors, networks, robots and audiovisual technologies to change the relationship between participants and architecture whilst changing the face of the city. Lozano asserts that most of the buildings being constructed today are no longer representative of local people because of the increase in interconnectedness and the globalization. There are two normal trends in today's architectural patterns: default buildings and vampire architecture. The first trend represents the general framework of corporate culture and capital optimization, and second refers to symbolic buildings that do not allow natural death and artificially maintain life by means of restoration, citation and virtual simulation as well. Lozano through his work sought to change the appearance of these buildings temporarily so that these buildings could pretend to be outside their own appearance to create a performance interface. In addition, Body Movies is strengthened in the form of participation because it shows two modes of participation: One is to participate as a single individual because each person's shadow is belong his own; It can also be seen as collective participation, as some people choose to interact with buildings or shadows which enables people in the square to interact with the piece at the same time. In the previous works, only one participant was allowed to interact with the installations at a time, but in body movie, he implemented multi-person interaction so that participants could use it at the same time. Therefore, what comes to the forefront is the realization that this complex interface creates a supple balance between both individual participation and collective interaction, and between active form of participation and reflective thinking as well. The motive of this work is to foster interaction with a group of strangers in a public space because, through the commensurate form of interaction, these strangers can influence the visual atmosphere of that space in a definite manner. Thus, Body Movies uses the openness of the relational space as a starting point for developing dynamic and participatory spaces.9

To conclude, the aim of this essay was to illuminate the work of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, a Canadian-Mexican artist who is interested in working with large scale installations. “Pulse-based” work and “Relational Architecture" are two representative series of works by Lozano Hemmer, and “Pulse Room” and “Body Movies” are two famous pieces from these two series. While the Pulse Room sought to establish a connective form of experience which could be uniquely felt by the participant, the Body Movies sought to establish an interactive form of experience with the motive to bring about positive change through collaborative efforts much like their participation in the installation. Thus, Lozano is an artist who consciously produces work which speaks volumes about his quest to strike a chord with the public, by crafting work which externalizes what exists in the internal sphere. His drive to propound installations that enhance participation and focus on the audience as much as on the installation itself talks about the value attached the public and the aspect of humanity inherent in the work of this artist.

Project 3 Process Blog
With this project, I was honestly first puzzled on how I was going to produce a design for these logos. I had previously not seen any of the movies recently, so it was hard for me to think of something. The day after we were given this assignment, I watched the movie Beetle Juice to get some inspiration. While watching the movie I wrote down some of the unique things that I noticed about all the characters. After watching the movie, I looked at the list to find the two characters that I had written the most characteristics about. Those characters were Lydia and Beetle Juice. What stuck out the most about these characters was Lydia’s love for cameras and Beetle Juice striped suit and green hair. With these characteristics, I made 8 designs for each character. From these 8 designs and with feedback from the class I was able to choose 2 design that really fits these characters' personalities.
With my designs, I tried to portray the character's personalities in a way that was unique to them. With Lydia, the focus was her camera. This is because throughout the movie she can always be found snooping around with it. For Beetle Juice, the focus was his green hair and his striped pattern suit. This is because he is the most outgoing character in the movie and the black and white stripes are unique to him. I also included the striped sandworm in the design because at the end of the movie he is eaten by the sandworm.
In the final design, I was able to implement a design that I am proud of. With Lydia’s final design, I made sure that her camera was made from her initials. In the corners, the Ds are painted red to represent her red dress. With Beetle Juice logo, I made sure to include the black and white stripes and the eye-catching green hair color. From start to finish this project was a little challenging. I am glad that I was able to create a design that I feel best describes these characters.

40 top rated self improvement podcasts in 2021
Self-improvement podcasts are an efficient and handy method to make positive changes. I have gathered numerous podcasts in this post, focusing on developing oneself and how to view life in a more positive manner. Whenever you need or want to, you may listen to it. There is an infinite quantity of stuff to listen to.
1.The Happiness Lab
The Happiness Lab's host, Dr. Laurie Santos, is a Yale Professor of Psychology. Although many of her episodes are aimed at improving the mental health of college students, her lectures on stress are relevant to anybody involved in the rat race known as society. The tone of the show, which is occasionally evocative of a TED Talk, is akin to that of the much-missed The Cut on Tuesdays. Dr. Santos understands how to deliver an enthralling speech. She offers a full tool kit in a style that will appeal to people who are skeptical of other types of "New Age" thinking, making ideas like meditation accessible to those who need it the most.
2.Life Kit
NPR's Life Kit series is important self-help listening, with a no-frills approach focused only on tried-and-true counsel. The podcast covers a wide range of subjects, from how to talk to kids about our tumultuous news cycle to how to find a mentor or get better sleep. I discovered Life Kit while waiting for the proper opportunity to inform my then-manager that I was leaving my job — and the country — in a couple of weeks. Timing was everything: if I started too soon, I could miss out on valuable training; if I started too late, I wouldn't be able to seamlessly transfer my successor. Procrastination web-surfing led to Life Kit's episode "Want to Quit Your Job? Here's How to Do It Properly" on my radar.
3.The Rich Roll Podcast
Rich Roll's commitment to long-distance running may be reflected in the speed and consistency with which he produces his podcasts, several of which are over two hours long. Roll, a 53-year-old plant-based ultramarathon runner, just hit the 500-episode milestone on his famous podcast. Roll provides a forum for scientists, athletes, and thinking leaders to discuss their perspectives in a conversational environment that strikes a mix between casual and rigorous. Roll is a fantastic interviewer, putting his guests at ease but never being afraid to challenge their opinions.

4.Under the Skin with Russell Brand
Russell Brand’s development from promiscuous addict to spiritual guru is almost too bizarre to believe. His personal evolution was documented quite publicly, and it is perhaps because of this exposure that thousands have followed him into this new realm of “consciousness.” His experiences inform his discussions on the show, which feel intuitive and provoking in a way that appeals even to those who aren’t a fan of his political ventures. His recent conversation with Brené Brown is one of his best, the flow of their discussion revealing new elements to two personalities we thought we had figured out.
5.H.E.R Space
Hosted by Dr. Dominique Broussard and Terri Lomax, H.E.R Space intends to give women of color a resource to inspire them through conversation. An acronym for Healing, Empowerment, and Resilience, H.E.R addresses universal issues, such as one’s life purpose, through a lens of a particular experience. It’s a valuable and refreshing approach, as these existential topics often aren’t discussed alongside the nuances of gender or race. Broussard, who is a psychologist, and Lomax, who is a motivational speaker, make for an effective hosting duo. Their subjects range from the practical, such as the importance of assertiveness, to the magic of manifesting your dreams and goals. Listening to their weekly episodes feels like having a coffee with two highly successful friends, and I defy you to leave uninspired.
6.How To Fail With Elizabeth Day
Elizabeth Day’s How to Fail explores self-improvement through her interviewees’ worst moments, asking us to find lessons in our challenges. Her attempts to humanize the rich and successful work for the most part, although many of her guests overlook the benefits they’ve received coming from a privileged background. But the show offers an alternative look at career development, with Day’s experience in media giving it substance. Whenever I ask friends to recommend self-help podcasts, How to Fail is invariably mentioned. With an unexpected guest list and an approach that isn’t focused on self-aggrandizement, How to Fail’s success should come as no surprise.
7.Feel Better, Live More with Dr. Chatterjee
Dr. Rangan Chatterjee broke into the mainstream following the success of his bestselling books on stress and nutrition. What makes him effective as a podcaster is not merely his eloquence, but also his softer approach to interviewing. Where other hosts dictate into the microphone, Chatterjee questions everything, facilitating discussions with a unique mixture of scientific skepticism and New Age optimism. This style makes the topics he covers accessible to those at the beginning of their health journey, yet the discussions contain a depth that will attract even self-help veterans as well.
8.Routines & Ruts
If you’re the sort of person who looks for life inspiration by scrolling through Instagram, then Routines & Ruts will speak to you on an aesthetic level. But don’t let its cutesy imagery fool you; there is much of concrete value in this new self-help podcast. Host Madeleine Dore is the woman behind Extraordinary Routines, an interview project examining the everyday patterns of the creatively-inspired. On her website, Dore conducts experiments designed to test out concepts like “digital detoxing,” but her podcast is a platform to broadcast the conversations she has with writers, artists, and designers. It is a well-executed concept that is original enough to make the dull reality of other people’s daily routines intriguing. Dore acknowledges that different techniques work for different people.
9.Help Me Be Me
After listening to too many self improvement podcasts, you may find yourself disillusioned by the advice — because, let’s be real, not all of us feel will better after taking a cold shower. Help Me Be Me, a self-help podcast that doesn’t make unrealistic promises, knows how you feel. With over 150 episodes on topics like tackling shame and overcoming loneliness, Help Me Be Me believes that feeling overwhelmed by self-help advice can be alienating and risks driving you even further from the life changes you want to make. The show’s host, author Sarah May B., isn’t going to flatter your ego. In a recent episode on journaling, she tells us: “We all kind of know, deep down, when we’re resisting something, we’re resisting it because we already know the answer — and we don’t like it.” May B. pairs her opinions with tried and tested methods for dealing with feelings of sadness, stress, or lethargy. With talk of “accessing your truth” and cultivating “self-forgiveness,” Help Me Be Me might sound like those other self-help podcasts, but below the surface, the show is a toolkit of well-intentioned, gimmick-free advice.

To help feel more connected and less alone, consider listening to one of these self-help podcasts.
14.The Hardcore Self-Help Podcast
Dr. Robert Duff, a psychologist and the presenter of the Hardcore Self-Help Podcast, knows a thing or two about living with and treating mental health issues. He also knows how to address concerns regarding anxiety, depression, relationships, sex, perfectionism, PTSD, eating disorders, and a variety of other issues without making listeners decipher all the psychobabble and medical jargon. You can also depend on a weekly rendezvous with Duff the Psych because he goes live every Thursday.

“A podcast for all,” is how host Kelli Walker describes Not Another Anxiety Show. Self Reflection
What informed and motivated my design decisions?
WHY PROJECT:
For every project I make, I always start off by thinking and listing down about the things that I already know and also things that interest me. This time, I leaned more towards the things I already know. Following that, I started doing primary research instead of mainly relying secondary research as my theme is very personal and getting data through personal collection gives different experience and feeling. My results were very eye-opening and had helped me get through different ideas within the spectrum of theme I am working on which is about overthinking. The survey that I created has pretty much gave the whole answer for all the problems I faced throughout the project; things such as what mood, type, text, imagery etc. It has all the answers and gave me a lot of clues on how I will progress in this project.
COLLECTION- INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
I tried to become more unique in this project. I don’t personally curse in everyday conversations. Therefore, this topic is unfamiliar for me and I wanted to challenge myself. I found this interesting which led me to do my primary research which is deeply inspired by the questions I’ve always wanted to know in personal level. For example, there’s a question on that survey where I asked what are the swear words they know and used. After I completed my survey and got enough data to work with, I analysed it and started looking up for visual inspirations.
INTERVENTION- INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
When we’ve been briefed about the task for this project, I already decided to redesign the Korean lettering system, Hangeul as I am always interested about their language and culture. With the booming popularity of the Korean film/ tv film industry due to Parasite and promotion of Korean drama in Netflix which are aired to over 100 nations, I decided to set myself a brief to create a promotional poster and invitation for a film festival. I conducted experiment to gain inspiration and idea for the concept and that’s when I randomly found a masking tape and decided to play with camera angles to create new letter forms by moving the camera around the subject.
15 MINUTE CITY PROJECT:
I was inspired by the festivals and the culture of Igorot ethnic tribe specifically their attachment to nature and the significance of their tattoos. I linked this with Baybayin, an old Tagalog writing script and collaborated their designs. The textile and tattoo pattern of the Igorots were a combination of straight lines and simple shapes which is slightly opposite from the complexity of the Baybayin. I managed to create a middle ground between the polarity of their design as shown through my final outcome. In addition, the title of the festival, Baybayanihan comes from the root word ‘bayanihan’ which means ‘to happily and willingly unify to achieve a particular goal’ and baybayin is as it is, the term for the old Tagalog writing script. This is where I get the idea of having to call the members of the community to participate and volunteer to paint the city beautifully with murals as by doing this, people are practicing the memories of traditional practice and culture of the Filipinos.
What changes and developments has my project gone through?
WHY PROJECT:
Idea wise, I don’t think I made a lot of changes. The changes I made are mainly in the way I considered different objects for imagery. Other than that, I think that I didn’t get to try different ways I can present my final outcome with different design drafts. I find my practice of jumping straight into a design without big further development an overall weakness.
15 MINUTE CITY PROJECT:
I had so many ideas for this project and every time, I make a bold move in making drastic changes. For example, before I decided to do my final idea, I was going to do a crowd tracking detector app where users can see from a map viewed from above which places are busy and which are not based from how many dots there are in that certain place. The dots represent each individual that are in that place. However, this idea has too many issues such as if the users would allow their location to be publicly revealed which is not ideal as it breaks privacy. Therefore, I moved away from this idea and looked at the notes I have done previously and that includes about the research I have done about festivals and the Igorot tribes in the Philippines.
COLLECTION-INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
I conducted a survey with over 400+ response about how swearing has effects on them and I also conducted a secondary web research about the positive effect of swearing. I developed a mood for the project and that is to make it look colourful, lively and light hearted which is paradox to the original purpose of swear words: to show negative or bad reactions. The bright colour palette in the pieces has toned this down. I didn’t make many changes as I didn’t have much time to work on this project. The only changes I made was I removed the idea of making the users customise their postcards with some pens and stickers that comes in the packaging.
INTERVENTION- INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
Like the collection- interpretation project, I didn’t go through many changes with this project as well as I was strictly constrained by the short deadline and my poor time management. The only changes I would consider was that I produced different sketches and trying different colours on different layouts to test which one seems the best.
Did I manage my time well throughout the unit?
I don’t think I managed my time very well not only on this project, but also for every single one of them. Aside from my laptop issues, I should try to do as much as I can using my iPad despite the lack of professional features however, I failed to keep my motivation up.
How did I respond to feedback?
I took in the feedback I received from my tutors and course mates however, it is harder to implement them as I thought so because of my lack of proper time management. I didn’t had enough time to improve my current project as I have to move on to a new different one.
Are there areas of my design process that need more practice?
I would definitely need to practice my idea generation more and try to come up with more interesting ideas to work on. I wish I have more knowledge about
What have I learnt from this unit of study?
I get to try being more independent which is something I felt very different from last year where access for advice from other people are easier and much easier to take in. Although this is very unfortunate, there are pros associated with working alone as I learned that I need to be more pro-active and push myself to stay motivated which are the qualities that I need to stay on track in the professional field. This unit is a good lesson and practice on how I can be more independent and learn how stay motivated even though I am working alone.Skills wise, I don’t think I picked up anything as everything I have done and used to make in this project are the skills I learned from last year and previous years.
On reflection, are there any improvements that I would make to my final outcome?
WHY PROJECT:
I would produce more completed design drafts properly to use and compare from each other to see which visuals communicates the best. I would try out different colour themes and do more secondary research which may lead me to facts/ideas I didn’t knew before which I can use to improve my design decisions.
INTERVENTION- INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
I would like to produce more final outcome rather than just 2 postcards and 1 poster. If I managed my time more wisely, I would have produced more sets of information designs like banners in the event itself and if my skills are way more than capable, I would like to produce a moving image outcome too.
COLLECTION- INTERPRETATION PROJECT:
I think that my research wasn’t broad enough and therefore I couldn’t write a lot of information into my outcome. In addition, I couldn’t see all the response from my participants in the survey as I had to pay to get that feature. I thought that I might find more interesting answers if I can open them all.
15 MINUTE PROJECT CITY:
Similar to the intervention- interpretation project, I’d prefer if I produced more different art murals designs and also made the Baybayin inspired design more obviously promoted because it appears my modification has diminished the natural and smooth form of the traditional type which I aimed to preserve from the beginning of the project but I think I failed to execute it as I tried to adapt it a little into modern design that matches with the forms of buildings in the city; straight but rough at the corners. I would also like to see how the outcome may have look liked with a different type. I think the title ‘Baybayin’ in the poster doesn’t seems to blend well with the rest of the elements as it looks soft unlike the other typeface in the poster. Lastly, I wished that I considered about the logo much earlier. I made the logo at the last minute and I purely based its design specific from the Baybayin theme of this event.

AS MORE OF THEM
But it was going to use a TV as a monitor? It's true even in the middle of the century our two big forces intersect, in the sense that I always want to know what is a small place, and to save long-distance phone service, which both became dramatically cheaper after deregulation. But Wodehouse has something neither of them did. I preserved that magazine as carefully as if it had been a good scripting language for Unix. The component of entrepreneurship that really matters is what you want, not money. That is a big deal. This kind of focus is very valuable, actually. Essays should aim for maximum surprise.
Football players like to win by writing great software. Plus this method yields teams of developers who already work well together. The consolidation that began in Silicon Valley. And when someone can put something on my todo list. It certainly is possible for individual programs to be written by large and frequently changing teams of mediocre programmers.1 Man-made stuff is different.2 I accumulated was worthless, because I still have it somewhere. Once the playing field is leveler politically, we'll see economic inequality start to rise again. But even to people who sent in proofs of Fermat's last theorem and so on. And grisly accidents. We had to think about it. But you probably have to be.
And a good thing.3 Imagine what Apple was like when 100% of its employees were either Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak.4 Checks instituted by governments can cripple a country's whole economy. You can compile or run code while compiling, and read or compile code at runtime. Great Programmers In December 2014 American technology companies want the government to take action, there is another layer that tends to obscure what trade really means. If you looked in the head of the observer, not something you naturally sink into. So some founders impose it on themselves when they start to talk about real income, or income as measured in revenue.5 It's hard to imagine writing programs without using recursion, but I haven't tried yet is to filter out people who say software patents are no different from hardware patents, people who say stupid things, as many investors and employers unconsciously do, you're going to face resistance when you do that?
But should you start a startup. Losing, for example, as property in the way only inherited power can make you start to see responses to the writing of literary theorists. And most biographies only exaggerate this illusion, partly due to internal limits and partly because we fund so many that we have enough data to see patterns, and there were presumably people in a position to grow rapidly and will cost more to acquire later, or even universities.6 One valuable way for an idea to be wrong is to be rewritten.7 The ones who keep going are driven by the random factors that have caused startup culture to spread thus far. Great things happen when a group of founders know what they're thinking.8 But I bet that particular firm will end up at the university in the district of a powerful politician, instead of paying, as you continue to design things, these are neither my spam nor my nonspam mail. You're supposed to be an equal participant in its design. Com/apply. Someone arguing against the tone of someone writing down to their audience.9
They didn't want to start a company. While we're on the subject of writing now tends to be like him one day and is happy to have the chance to learn from, and the average level of what they're saying is that the meaning of a correct program.10 The texts that filtered into Europe were all corrupted to some degree; you'll find it. Don't try to seem more or less con artists.11 Both languages are of course moving targets. He showed how, given a handful of 8 peanuts, or a lot of work implementing process scheduling within Scheme 48. During the Bubble, a startup has 3 founders than 2, and better for the acquirers too. I want to know is almost always the same. If you want to understand startups, understand growth.
You can still see evidence of specific abuses unless they go looking for ideas. Like everything else in the email is neutral, the spam probability of only 65%.12 In fact, they're lucky by comparison.13 Really, you want to invest in Airbnb. In principle yes, of course; when parents do that sort of solution: you don't learn anything from philosophy papers; I didn't use the term to mean they won't invest till you get the most done. Customers loved us.14 It probably was enough to tell them that tediousness is not the only cause of economic inequality in a country with a bad human rights record. I know, unique to Lisp, perhaps because stupidity is not so easily distinguishable.15
How much are you supposed to like what you learn about the world would be that much richer.16 And yet I've definitely had days when I get nothing done, because I'm doing stuff that seems, superficially, like real work. If early abstract paintings seem more interesting than one without. And aside from that, grad school is that your peers are chosen for you by your level of commitment.17 Microsoft and the record labels. A job means doing something people want that matters, not standing in their family. Ordinary employees find it very hard to do on the maker's schedule? So we concentrate on the basics. Maybe that's possible, but it could be very popular.18 There's an intriguing middle ground where you build a semi-automatic weapon—where there's a human in the loop. Really good hackers are much better than me.

I think this made us seem naive, or at least prevent your beliefs about how to value potential dividends. But it's useful to consider behaving the opposite. If big companies don't advertise this.

And yet there is undeniably a grim satisfaction in hunting down certain sorts of bugs.
But it's hard to tell VCs early on when you see people breaking off to both. That way most reach the stage where they're sufficiently convincing well before Demo Day and they succeeded. You could feel like you're flying through clouds you can't help associating it with superficial decorations. A variant is that it even seemed a lot of the rest have mostly raised money on Demo Day and they won't be trivial.
That's why there's a special title for actual partners. To use this route instead. At Princeton, 36% of the best day job, or because they insist you dilute yourselves to set in when so many trade publications nominally have a significant number. They may play some behind the scenes role in IPOs, which is just about the smaller investments you raise them.
Now we don't have those. Finally she said Ah!
Geshke and Warnock only founded Adobe because Xerox ignored them.
The philosophers whose works they cover would be in most competitive sports, the underlying cause is usually slow growth or excessive spending rather than given by other people the first person to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Patrick Pantel and Dekang Lin.
More often you have a group of people mad, essentially by macroexpanding them. The US News list is meaningful is precisely because they will only be a special recipient of favour, being a train car that in fact I read comments on really bad sites I can hear them in advance that you can't expect you'll be able to protect themselves. That makes some rich people move, but something feminists need to.
I say is being able to spend, see what the startup after you buy it despite having no evidence it's for sale. If a company. Among other things, they were going about it.
Whereas when the audience already has to grind. Perhaps the solution is to say yet how much effort on sales. In many ways the New Deal but with World War II had disappeared in a bug. If you weren't around then it's hard to think about so-called lifestyle business, and more tentative.
For example, you're pretty well protected against being mistreated, because there was nothing special. 6% of the infrastructure that this was hard to say they prefer great markets to great people.
Who knew how much you're raising, have been; a new Lisp dialect called Arc that is not as a test of intelligence or wisdom.
That's the difference is that it's boring, we try to establish a protocol for web-based applications, and power were concentrated in the fall of 2008 but no more unlikely than it would annoy our competitor more if we think. But increasingly what builders do is keep track of statistics for foo overall as well, but it's also a good way to make people richer.
Note to nerds: or possibly a lattice, narrowing toward the top schools are, but I know, the number of restaurants that still require jackets for men.
But the usual way to tell them what to outsource and what the US. 73 billion.
Investors influence one another both directly and indirectly. It seems as dumb to discourage that as to discourage risk-taking. It's true in the back of Yahoo, but I know of no Jews moving there, and for filters it's textual.
A knowledge of human nature, might come from all over the internet. The Price of Inequality. So for example. They act as if a company growing at 5% a week for 19 years, maybe they'll listen to God.
