I just wanna think about how long Miss pauling and scout have actually worked for the administrator (or how old they were when they started working for her)
(This is a nonsense ramble I honestly don't fucking know)
Now let's say miss pauling is the same age as scout, and scout claims he's known her for 6 years? So she definitely has been working for the admin since 21 (same as scout)
But there was a time in game where we didn't know about miss pauling. (Between the release of the game and miss p's introduction in 2009)
The game was released in 2007 and miss pauling was introduced in the WAR! comic in 2009 then does that mean scout has actually worked for the admin since he was 19? (There's a 2 year gap where the playerbase had never heard of miss p right?) Hes known miss pauling for 6 years but that doesnt mean hes been working for the admin the same amount of time right? But has miss p alsp been working long before that and just never introduced herself?
Ok but we all know that scout is 23 during the events of the game (as stated in some description of a toy or whatever... although that's the events of the game not when he started....?)
So if scout started working for the admin at 23... now 6 yr time skip he's now 29?... which doesn't make sense bc in the comics he's 27?
sorry I'm literally sitting here thinking whether or not starting mercenary work at 19 is normal and/or if I'm missing anything from the comics...
Slightly off topic but I see the game and the comics to both have different canons (and the sfms yo be between those 2 canons)
So if we're gonna use the games canon (which has a 2 year gap of scout/the players not knowing miss pauling) then scout started working for the admin at 19, (idk bout miss p.. she could've started earlier but idfk)
But if we use the comic info then it's possible they started at 21
Sorry if you're reading thru this messy writing
Idk if miss p ever said anywhere how long she's worked for the admin... but idk ig its possible they started working at 19 - 21?
Tf2 takes places in what , 1975? Somehwere then right? I asked my brother if working for the army at that age then was normal and he said it is so idk
I mainly wrote this bc they're (or scout is confirmed to be) thr youngest mercs so it was just a random thought
Oh I realized a thing about the Paul/Feyd-Rautha fight. So usually if you have a big fight scene, but especially if you do something like have a character get injured in a way that would definitely be fatal if they weren't cursed with inescapable Main Character Energy, you follow up the fight scene with some moment of comfort or relief or something, which serves to release the tension for the audience and let them know whew, that was scary, but it's okay now. Your character is hurt but they're gonna survive. (Or alternately, if they're dying heroically, it was worth it and what the narrative demanded.)
But here there's nothing. Paul is surrounded by devoted followers; his mother; his lover; one of his oldest teachers and a loyal servant of House Atreides. No one steps forward to offer a shoulder to lean on or help him to his feet. He's left them all behind. He's not a person who got hurt in a fight anymore; he's a myth that people shrink back from. So he pulls the knife out by himself. He stands up by himself. Other than the emperor very begrudgingly touching his hand to kiss the ring, I don't think anyone touches him at all for the rest of the movie. He's completely alone. They never release that tension, because Paul's alive but it is very much not going to be okay.
Remembering George Harrison, who left us 22 years ago today. In thinking of him, I’d like to share a short video. A fitting tribute from an old friend, back where it all began, in their little town of Liverpool.
we're in such a strange era where men will just casually wax poetic for several paragraphs in mainstream media outlets about how john and paul were in love with each other but no one dares to explore the real questions (were they having gay sex? when were they having gay sex? what kind of gay sex were they having?) mate you're a journalist, do your job
The fact they jumped in the harbour and not the pool is sending me
pls im honestly not surprised 😭😭 proof that drivers have to give up their last few brain cells when they join prema, and then they just dont get them back
cressida's storyline was genuinely shameful tbhhh it's like they started rewriting it in the first half of the season then completely forgot about the changes they'd made to make it fit the book plot and it just ends up making everyone else look bad😐 every character in the second half got a "penelope did nothing wrong" lobotomy so we ended up with eloise completely ignoring cressida being sold off to an horrible man (when she made every effort to support her in the first half of the season) and for some reason resenting her for pretending to be lady whistledown? Then they somehow frame her ignoring colin's offensively bad pleas as it being her turning away from redemption when all she's trying to do is escape being trapped in the country with her likely abusive aunt... and it ends with her meeting her horrible fate and it still being framed as tragic only to immediately juxtapose it with the bridgerton family winning the idgaf war while gleefully seeing off francesca and her future dead husband. The bridgertons were the villains of the season frfr
Paul George on Stephen A. Smith’s Kawhi Leonard jab: “I didn’t like that moment… Kawhi wants to play… We exhausted a lot out of Kawhi this season. So at some point your body breaks you down… I didn’t appreciate that moment. I know I laughed because the situation was lighthearted, but deep down it was like you gotta let that go, Stephen A.”
